Previously:
San Diego is wiped out by a tidal wave, a young man caught in the deluge as the city is erased by what some might consider the very wrath of god in a world with a sky of endless colors. Snatched from the brunt of the wave, the young man faces an inhuman creature of humanoid form that strikes out his eye to deliver onto him the gift of magic by means of the followers.

Praise be to Susej they say. These followers.

Selfish in his means of survival, a young man rallies with these people for his own safety as the government seeks to keep the truth of the world under wraps, that magic exists and that people like the followers are throwing it into chaos.

Sent on a mission to liberate people captured for conscription based on their awakening to magic, he journeys with others to meet with a woman planted for this very purpose, finding adversity on the way.

Having left a trail all too easy to follow, he's been captured and taken to the very place he'd been looking to gain access, though not exactly on his own terms...

Recently rescued by unknown allies, the young man takes on a new alias “Faust” to help him lay low.

You are Asher Faust, welcome to Over(human)Limit S2

With Marcus back, the atmosphere seemed to change. Saph went back to her usual self, kind yet firm, and everyone else seemed to relax more than a little. Tony at first seemed wary after the little revelation that you dropped on everyone, but when the Unseelie attacked again, that was put out of thought and out of mind. Already past midnight, everyone was pushed to keep the unseelie away while light spilled out of the growing tree. Aemili advised that come the twilight of morning, the unseelie would be held back, especially as it had already past their witching hour.

From dusk until dawn, the fight carried on. With the first light of day, the Unseelie finally waned as the Seelie became strong enough to push them back from the horrors of the evening. It was then that scouts reported a new defensive line had been established by Overwatch a quarter-mile away.

Legna having recovered, told of the fact that the Unseelie still had a foothold in the city, that they would await their next witching hour while the Seelie's strength would wax, wane, and wax throughout the day.

It was just as well with the break of morning that Echo was returned to the museum by a swarm of smaller Seelie fae.
“We found her hobbling this way,” they say with concern laced in their voice.

You shout out for Saph's assistance, Emilia down on the basement level with XIX and the only one of the captured clones that survived the attack of the Sluagh. She comes running, and then summons the healer to stitch up the fox.

As she's being fixed up, she chokes, her soul the only thing managing to keep herself from bleeding out, “Don...nneth.” A haggard breath. “War...ning.”

You listen to what may be Echo's last words intently.
>>
>>36493628

“He... sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows the mistakes you've made... Kill him.. Before it's too late.” Echo's chest heaves, and then sighs as her last breath.
“I'm going... to go to sleep now.” She says with a slight smile before closing her eyes. XIX doesn't stop operating on her, closing her wounds, administering transfusions.

You think to say goodbye for a moment, though you don't really feel that it's right as you turn away from her. She was annoying, a little shit... But she kept going on just to warn you. It's hard to know what to think of that.

Saph as the one holding her hand throughout XIX's operations sighs with relief.
“She's not dead.”

“What?”

You turn back to look at Echo, her veins are glowing ever so slightly. In the Astral the fox is holding her wounds together even now with its normally cunning and sly demeanor giving way to worry and concern.

Saph smiles, “Keep at it fox, XIX'll fix her right up.”

“I thought if a vein falls asleep...”

“Fox is like an extension of her subconscious. So long as she has the will to live, it won't let her die so easily.” Saph gives you a sudden look as though to say “You're no different. But she just looks back to Echo.
“She'll need time.”

“Just another reason to defend this place, right?”

Marcus approaches, glancing down at Echo, “The portal's stabilized and the faeries can defend it. If we stay here, we'll be targeted by Overwatch. We need to relocate and take the fight to them if we're going to force Templars to mobilize.” He looks over to Saph, “How soon would one show?”

“They'd need to fly in from the front lines. A day and a half at most.”

Can the act of swearing an oath be used to empower a spell? I was planning on oathing Fiend so it could only be used with the intent to kill if things got deadly.

Attempt to stay at portal. Will probably make things harder overall. Potential for faefication continuation.

Go off to do whatever Marcus' plan is. Probably will make things easier overall but open us up to Donneth's bullshit. Faefication effectively ceased.

“Alright, if that's what we need to do,” You agree with one last look at Echo, “We going to wait until she stabilizes at the least?”

Marcus just about laughs, “Of course, we need her back in fighting shape as soon as possible from whatever she fought.”

It's late, but it finally dawns on you, wait, she said Donneth. She went out to fight Donneth? And she lost. Just how strong did that demon get when you weren't looking?
(I suspect...) Legna begins, her words creeping into your mind through the ether(That he used his time hunting villains to reap their power. He fuels himself through fear, death, and... perhaps even glory.)

You draw away from the others to speak aloud, turning your back to them, “Could he have been holding back?”

(Indeed. He draws power still from the legend of the Wendigo as well as the Unseelie's Wyld. Before the previous night, I could have subdued him...) Legna pauses as though to let out an astral breath, (Yet now I am uncertain. I'd likely only be able to match him while painted by Camille)

“You don't know that for sure though.”

(I have no idea how powerful he may be, now that he's come through.)

“Does that do anything for you? Entering this world?”

(It begs us to exist as you do. We grow more powerful, yet likewise we become mortal. Mortal and otherwise finite.)

“Is that why you have not stepped through the portal?”

(It is not my place to exist among mortals even if I do interfere with them. I have no desire to exist.)

“That a fact?” You ask realizing how strange and different summons can be. Some yearn with all their power to exist like Donneth, Morgan. They answered your call and demanded to be able to do things in the world. Legna however? She's content. Not ever thinking of overreaching. It's like a certain other woman. It's like Emilia.

>>36495293
We've talked about this before waaaaaaay back in s1. An oath like that would empower a spell massively, but it would also effectively seal it off after we kill the target.

If you think sealing off Fiend is worth killing Donneth, then by all means...
I'd rather just jam fire mana down Marcus' throat and let him kill the fucker.
>>
>>36495325
I never said to seal Fiend, only to make it able to be used to kill and to use the act of oathing it to empower the spell.
>>
>>36495392
>I never said to seal Fiend
That's what your suggestion does, though. If you oath a spell to kill a specific target, it gets sealed after they die.

(Yes.) She says without much of a pause.

You end the conversation there, walking around sprouts blooming through the cracks of the museum's once polished gray and white tile floor. Sunlight pours in from above through leaves of many shades of green through the canopy of the great white oak as it reaches up even higher through the basement. Marble ruins are painted with greens and otherworldly hues shifting ever so slightly, fickle as the fae or the aurora itself.

Some of the faeries have settled down to start raising up the growth in the immediate area, outside they raise the trees against the chill of autumn, restoring not only leaves but their color. You ask one of them about it and they reply with, “Because Seelie land is always somewhere between spring and summer!”

Okay.

An hour passes into the cold morning. You realize that you're pretty damn hungry and thirsty. Likely another reason that no one can sit around here, no damn supplies for the human troops. You quench thirst, easily enough but pangs of hunger persist. Through the mental fortitude you acquired in prison, you happily ignore them, but other people... Like Huge- er Hughes- need to eat.

Xix finishes stitching up Echo and Zeitgeist moves out, bidding farewell to the fae.
Noite and the other Mummies stand near the exit, virtually restored and looking downright human again barring the loose strips of ancient linen cloth that they still keep about their person.

“We are going to find Ai, then we will make our return to the sacred Nile.” Noite says, an answer before a question. He ignores a faerie that flits before him for attention.

“She hasn't come back all night, well, good luck I guess.”

“No such thing as luck. Only fate.”

Saph steps forward, bowing to humble herself before the mummy, “Your help was appreciated. I hope you find what you're looking for.”
>>
>>36495686

Noite grins, “And you too.” His eyes shift to Marcus. “You are like the wrath of Ra to her gentle Thoth.”
Noite turns away, and the mummies depart, keeping to themselves.

You turn to Saph, “Say, if I wanted to visit Dorothy right now, think I could?”

“Wait until we relocate.” She starts off, “Let's go, Overwatch doesn't have a full perimeter and the Seelie are harassing them all around.”

Zeitgeist members slip out of the perimeter in broad daylight. What Saph hadn' accounted for was the presence of dark-skinned knife-earred humans attacking Overwatch convoys, laughing like maniacs as they turn over one of their armored trucks. The way they're acting, you'd swear that they were some kind of thugs, and hell, maybe even in league with the followers. Maybe not so much the latter, but they curse and shout as though they're having the time of their lives.

“Seems the Unseelie have been getting recruits...” Saph whispers low, her mask on as the rest of Zeitgeist does the same, Echo's even wearing hers as she's being toted around by Hughes.

“You mean the unseelie portals?”

“Yeah, seems that they're converting humans. I'd wager that they came from one of the shoddier parts of chicago.

“West SIIIDE BOY!” One of them whoops as he tackles an evacuee's car, sending it spinning into an office building.

Suspicion confirmed. Saph flinches, “Oh gods...”

“West side, that shit serious?” You say as you reach out with your magic. “Gauntlet.” Your power crackles in the air and a large claw of flame forms, to swat the elf away. Noticing the clear magival effect, the black elf jumps on over it from high, his gaze darting around rapidly and noticing your little procession, not to mention your own little display of magic.

“What the FUCK dawg! HELL NAW!” The black elf reaches into his pants at superhuman speed as you set your clothes to the agility mode.

“Emilia, help me out. Rest, go.”

Bullets fly from the elf's sidearm at an equally sideways angle as you slip past them at the behest of their telegraph. You notice that things are much less blurry since your faefication while you're doing this. Those bullets though, they're mundane, they have nothing to speak of for enhanced speed or power. It's like shooting peas in this world now, doesn't this motherfucker know that?

You cast out another infernal hand to scoop the car out of the building, bringing it back down to the street. A sudden vein of rage takes you as Emilia secures the car, the black elf's fired at you, intent to kill right? No reason not to do it then. With a pressing of your middle and thumb fingers you surround the elf with a vapor of nitroglycerin, and then a snap and he's a splatter on the concrete.

“Nitro fiend,” You mutter after the fact.

Emilia gets the people out of the car to assess their damage, she reports that they're hurt and unconscious but not dead.

“We'll take them along for now.”

“Yo, where the fuck is Jerome?!” You hear voices calling from one of the allies several black elves file out. With a cold look you glare at them.

“You're unseelie, right?” You call out to them.
>>
>>36496613
>>36495696

“Aw shit, how the fuck you know that, an' whatchyo do t'-” The one speaking receives a sharp elbow as hes pointed to the bits of splatter on the pavement, organs and bile already par-baked by the flash-fire of the explosion.
“Aw hell, is that Jerome? What the fuck!”

They start to get ready to fight when Emilia puts a foot down, sending a fissure in the concrete to divide the two parties. She actually looks mad. Kind of hot. “You pieces of shit think you can just riot and throw people around like they're toys!? You're gonna fuck off if you don't want to end up like your friend!”

One of them whispers from the side, “Yo man, this sounds hot, let's bounce, we'll get 'em when it gets dark.”

The one that looks like the leader puts a hand up, “Naw, hold up.”

With a sigh, you press your fingers together, gleaming with power, “You have literally five seconds before I'm sick of seeing you faggots.”

“You say we Unseelie, right? How you know that?”

“Because I summoned the Seelie- you're at one.” You snap and the leader splatters, the rest of them knocked back by the shock and scrambling away. You shake off the slight burn in your hand, “Nice show,” You walk the way that the rest of ZG started set off to. Emilia pushes the car along with the people inside, with her strength it's apparently not that bad.

All in all, you feel better for helping them out.

The dust settles and you're feeling pretty awesome as Zeitgeist picks out a diner to get a bite to eat, appeal to baser needs and hold up incognito. The people that are inside, that thought that work would be another normal day are scared at first but they let you in when Saph does the talking. Marcus goes silent, staring them down.

Everyone eats for free while XIX helps some injured. Hilariously enough, the whole thing makes you think of an apocalypse scenario minus the scrounging for supplies.

When the rescues come to, an older man and whom you presume to be his daughter, you find that they were looking to leave the city based on an announcement they heard on the news earlier in the morning. The few workers in the Diner admit to not really watching the news.

They ask Saph if you'd all be willing to help them escape with everything else going on, that's when she puts on her airs.

Using her blue glow, and showing a little display of her power she claims to be the blue goddess ad all that other jazz. Marcus takes you aside and says that the two groups will be splitting off here, Saph's going to help people while it's Pillar M's job to off the Templars.

“Say, I've been wondering if we're going to be able to do it, I mean, it sounds like Saph's been hyping these guys up a lot.” Even after the black elves earlier, you're reflecting a bit on it. There's always a bigger fish. Most of the time it's others, sometimes its you.

“I won't tell you the odds, but I will say that I would've liked to train everyone for at least another month against softer foes. We don't have a tried and true program for drawing out and refining an Over's power. Eloc's been working on a proper regiment, but applying it even then takes time and you forced her to push deadline. I wager that we'll suffer casualties and we might get one of them before needing to retreat. When Overwatch gets as many people as they can out of here for whatever they do, Templars are going to come in and wipe the 'infestation' off the map.” Marcus shrugs, shaking his head.
He goes silent after that, turning away and heading outside.

XIX comes out of the backroom, looks around, and upon seeing you runs over, grabbing you by the hand, “Private Faust, come.”

You feel the girl pull and oblige her while giving her a curious look. When you're taken back, you're met with a fierce growl.

“Calm, calm, easy sister.” XIX says with no small amount of excitement still in her voice.

You look over the Cerberus, first time you've seen one without it trying to kill you. Seems like she just came around.

“Be careful, she still feels threatened. She needs to smell you.” Xix takes your hand and holds it out to the wild little girl. You begin to flinch away, but XIX holds you steady. The Cerberus stares at you with her tri-pupils surrounded by blue eyes. “She's an older one, Commander Saph said that she survived because she awakened... I was sad because the others were... But I'm glad. I can't find her tags though so I don't know what number she is.”
>>
>>36497452
Could we do that carnivore oath to boost floramancy?
>>
>>36497455
I was surprised it wasn't called "claw".
>>
>>36497471

The Cerberus leans over, maintaining defiant eye contact as her nostrils flare, drawing in your scent.

“She's like an animal-”

She withdraws and swipes at you, fingers sparking with electricity, not magic. XIX moves you back just in time, “They're not stupid, just angry when they fight. Be nice, okay?”

You try to relax, the scent of Ozone's not helping though. “Can she talk?”

“No,” XIX shakes her head. “What should we call her? I am... not very creative.”

We could go super edgy and name her Fenrir or something like that. She'd go from being a dog to a wolf (and greek to norse), which would have some cool symbolism. On the down sound, it's a shitty name for a little girl to have.
>>
>>36497482
>She withdraws and swipes at you, fingers sparking with electricity
I'm mostly joking here, since this would be kinda awful, but "Raiju".
>>
>>36497482

You look over the Cerberus, her clothes are in tatters from the Sluagh attack, but because of that you're also able to see her body a bit better. Despite being clones and sisters her body's entirely different from XIX's: Where XIX has more or less a childish sort of fat, the Cerberus has lean muscle that would make an olympian blush. Taut hard thighs and legs for high speed running, it also looks like she's got an extra joint in her feet, for a setup that's almost dog-like. No tail to speak of though, be weird as shit if that were thrown in.

XIX notices you looking her over, and adds in, “My analysis shows that she's an early generation Cerberus. You can tell by the blue eyes, they're not gray anymore.”

“Interesting.”

“I recall that early generation Cerberus suffer from a heart condition.”

“She's sick?”

“Like many of the earliest generations, When she gets angry her heart starts to beat too quickly and begins to asphyxiate itself due to a lack of oxygen. This very same defect gives them great speed in their last moments while they go berserk.

“So, they're bersekers? That's interesting. Though I think they're a little bit too straightforward when they run in...”

XIX pets the head of the Cerberus, whom leans into the hand for some comfort. Her eyes snap open and she points at a spot on XIX's uniform and makes a noise like a little yip, no words.
Closer examination reveals that she's pointing at the XIX's emblem. A three headed serpent with XIX emblazoned on it.

“What? Is she saying that her name is XIX too?”

“I don't...”

The Cerberus covers up the last X. “Ah! Ahhh-ah!”

“XI?”

She scratches a wooden table, and X and then two I's.

“X-I-I? She's smarter than I thought.” You chuckle at your own half backwards praise. “XIX and XII, say, would you two like real names and not just numbers?”
>>
>>36497732
XIX blinks, thinking about it, “Um... I don't know.” She seems confused, turning to the XII, “What about you?” The mute girl seems equally confused.

>Time to give them real names.

“Asher,” Emilia interjects, “XII is kind of like Eshemm isn't she? I mean, I know it's the past and everything, but it'd be a nice name, right?”

You think about it for a moment. It could be in bad taste...

XII - Mithra. Has association with the hanged man tarot. Translates to "friend". Name is unisex, though it does have more of a leaning towards boys if that's an issue for some people. Deity of origin was associated with the sun mainly, but also truth and knowledge.

XIX - Can't think of anything, sorry.

You contemplate names for a while and the mythos nerd in you gets the better, “XIX, I don't have a name for you, but I think Kara works for XII, you like that?”

The girl listens to the name for a moment, makes a sound and you say it again slowly. Her face doesn't really have any emotions besides pacified or angry, kind of hard to tell what she thinks.

“She likes it,” XIX replies. “Kara it is then. What about Kara XII?”

“That's just-” You stop short, you don't want to explain to them exactly what you did was basically to convert and then bastardize Cerberus. It's clever, but not exactly creative. XIX looks to you for more, “No, nothing, nevermind.”

“Asher, Emilia, get out here, I need to go over some things with the two of you.” Marcus comes in from the outside.

You follow after and see that the others, the ones with Saph have gone, “She said that she'll be back by noon, that just leaves us to deal with Overwatch.” The others here, Hughes, Henry, Gertrude, Tony, Echo though she's still wounded, yourself, and Emilia.
“We've got two veins, three bones, two nerves. Would be three veins if I could count echo right now. We need to get some goddamn semblance of a plan and coordination going on if we want to do fuck-all in the future.”

Marcus pulls out a chair and slides it over to you, it shrieks over a linoleum floor, one for Emilia too.

With everyone seated Marcus takes the time to talk strategy, real strategy.
>>
>>36498722

“Nerves are long range, Veins mid range, bones front line. This is barring certain contingencies with respective powers such as Emilia being more suited to a short-mid range, Henry to long range. Concerning what I mean by these ranges I'm talking in the matter that long is a sniper's range. In normal cases we'd have either a vein or a bone backing up the nerve while a single operative infiltrates and subdues a target. In this case we know that they will be three, they will be out to eradicate all opposition and it is highly unlikely that they will bring reinforcements beyond this.”

Henry chuckles a bit, leaning over, “What the hell, only three to a whole city that's gone crazy? Are they serious?”

“One hundred percent.” Marcus says with a grim tone, “They were trained with the specific purpose of shutting down, eliminating and killing Overs. They've known about magic since before December Twenty-first and they only send those that have the conviction and power to carry out a purge with efficiency. If you underestimate them, they'll have your head.”

“Wait, you said a purge? Like, they're going to kill us?” Hughes comes in.

“Anyone and anything that's still in the city. A nuke's too sloppy for them, but they'll use a spell that's close.” Marcus answers, sparing nothing from the blunt truth.
“Consider it saving the ones that haven't gotten away Mr. Hero. This is our objective.”
>>
>>36498732
“Mr. Hero?” You can't help but laugh, “The fuck's that? Lard-Ass wants to be a hero?” Your mouth gets you half a dozen hard looks.

Hughes looks down, “Saph said I could help people by getting rid of bad ones. What's wrong with that.”

“Ah, okay, alright.” You say dismissively.

Marcus raises his voice to move the subjext, “Carrying on. We will need to scout the Templars when they arrive, and to know when they'll arrive we need to watch Overwatch's actions. They'll withdraw when the Templars are ready. This task will be left to Asher and Tony's summoned familiars as they can do so safely, though we will need visual confirmation in the case that they've established wards. Harassing them is inadvisable because our numbers are finite and they have plenty of trash to throw at us.”

“When I give the order you fall back, no ifs ands or buts, if you can't lose them or one of us gets captured we can secure them later, Overwatch seldom receives orders to kill an over over capturing them, if you need to surrender, do so. But know that the Templars will only give you time to make peace with your god.

After informing the rest of ZG about the situation with Donneth trying to off you, the fact remains that contracts have been broken and you manage to pull Gertrude to the side later and speak with her.
When confronted with the question she gives you a coy smile, backing herself against a wall with her pelvis thrust out lewdly.
“I'm not sure what you're referring to.”

“When I tell you to do something, does it make you feel hot?”

“Mmm...” She ponders the question, rolling her eyes and acting innocent. “Why don't you tell me to do something?”

“Pat your head and rub your stomach.” You blurt out the most innocent thing that you could say.

She hesitates for a moment, closing her eyes a heavy breath as though she's resisting. “Oh yes, it makes me hot.” A black, chitinous hand slides up her cheek to her white hair, stroking it back sensually as her other slides over a supple breast, passing momentarily over a spot with a pinch before traveling down to rub her stomach lower... and lower. She bites her lip, looking you in the eye and then traveling down.
“Perchance is there something else you'd like to ask me to do, master?” Her British accent and lewd nature

She's one hundred percent screwing with you. She's screwing with you but...

That said, if there's anything else you'd like to say to her, go for it.
>>
>>36499617
Nope I'm good with an awkward retreat
>>
>>36499251
We could work on combo cast with Tony. Making poison gas with Alchemy and then combo casting Aero could be pretty nasty.
>>
>>36499671
He could even use aeromancy to boost our fiends
>>
>>36499617
Meh, I'll just assume it is broken and just wait for you to have her murder us since we aren't bonded as part of Zeitgeist and as such there isn't anything stopping our "allies" from turning on us.
>>
>>36499368
>Practice empowering Henry and Emilias projectiles with ignorance or the break alchemy cantrip.
Seconding this. If it works, that'd be a crazy attack.
>>
>>36499683
Why would she want to murder Asher?
>>
>>36499683
She'd murder Emilia/Xix/Kara/Meli since her whole thing is murdering women/girls.
>>
>>36499683
She wants Asher's dick anon. Dead guy dicks don't work so well
>>
>>36499708
She's a woman in a Dran quest and her glow is purple.

That's 3 for 3 on the "will this character murder the mc?" chart.
>>
>>36499708
I was going to say this.
>Why wouldn't she want to murder Asher?
Thats the real question Dran. Thats the real question.

But anon makes a good point >>36499721 We may not be at risk for imminent murder. But I honestly expect literally everyone to try and kill us at this point. I'm even kinda waiting for Emilia to just break sometime and snap our neck.
>>
>>36499726
Violet had shadow do it. By the logic of Askanons, she didn't do it, the Boogieman Shadow did.
>>
>>36499746
I've seen those askanons and they're retarded, but the situations aren't analogous at all.

Asher's summons did shit that he got (rightfully) blamed for, but he didn't want them to do that shit in the first place.

Mr. Shadow killed Omar on Violet's orders. She wanted it to happen.

By Askanon logic, Violet is responsible and Asher isn't.

By (what I think is) Dran logic, Violet is responsible and Asher is too, though to a slightly lesser degree.
>>
>>36499778
Yeah, that's my logic.
>>
>>36499464

Keeping your eyes on the woman, you back away from her sexual advances. No, hell no. You have a goddamn faerie contract and you're not breaking that shit.

“Master, do you not find me attractive?” Her lips pout, and her expression drops as though she's actually disheartened. “I haven't been touched or held by anyone in years. Being a geriatric old sow is certainly a well enough contraceptive for the old, but even now, am I not suitable to arouse such interest?” She sighs heavily, honestly disheartened.
“And here I thought we could play a game where you're the master and I'm your bitch or some other crude thing, guess we're just, erm, co-workers as effectively as that is?”

“Wait, you aren't going to kill me?”

She throws her head back to laugh at the inanity of your question, “Oh heavens no. Even that little situation with the girl, that was just me getting a bit ahead of myself. The life and beauty of youth is addicting, yet it's important to pace yourself, Saph informed me well of that. Sweet little thing taught me that after I bled from nigh every orifice and Marcus proved rather ready to fuck me in the head with that soldering finger of his.”
“I'm going to go diddle myself to satisfaction or something, might as well get off before I'm like to do.” Gertrude waves you off and leaves you alone and very confused as to her intentions. What the fuck happened when you were off in the woods?
>>
>>36499923
>before I'm like to die, Templars and all.*
>>
>>36499923
>What the fuck happened when you were off in the woods?
Wouldn't we all like to know.
>>
>>36499943
More opportunities for short stories. I'll have D's done by tomorrow.
>>
>>36499923
Yo. Gertrude. Faerie contract. Middle of faerieland.

Even if you ain't gonna kill us, fucking you probably will.
>>
So, on the to-do list is...

>Combo cast with Emilia for Ignorance and/or break.
>Buff Legna to R4
>Remodel Hydra
>Thorn Cantrip
>Fire platforms
>Poison gas and spread with Tony.

Any that you don't agree with, say so. It'll increase the effectiveness of the remainder.
>>
>>36499972
She doesn't know about that.
>>
>>36499990
I don't really want hydra.
>>
>>36499990

Also, >[End Thread]
As far as last post goes.
>>
>>36500009
Why not? It was shitbad because it's been rank 1 the entire quest. If we put a contract on it and buf fit up to 3, it could actually do something.
>>
>>36500016
I guess we're going to have to wait until next Sunday, then?
>>
>>36499951
How would you frame that? Legna watching them? From the PoV of the people it mainly concerns?
>>
>>36500035
What's a rank 3 summon gonna do against templars? Nothing. Everything else seems more effective
>>
>>36500066
We have to fight Overwatch before the Templars show up.

And you could say the same thing about a lot of it, really.

>What's a blood bullet enchanted with Break/Ignorance going to do to a Templar?
>What's a rank 4 summon going to do to a Templar?
>What's a pointy stick going to do to a Templar?
>What's airjumps gonna do against the Templars?
>What's mundane poison gonna do to Templars?
>>
>>36499990
>>36500035
For what its worth I really do want to remodel Hydra. Frankly we could really use the extra support at this point.
>>
>>36499990
Would it be to go see Dorothy to try and get a sword or something to use as a medium for r5 Legna?

Or do summoning mediums not work that way? I'm not entirely clear on this stuff.
>>
>>36499990
>>36500107
Thats a good idea. If its possible I'd say its worth a favor.
>>
>>36500102
We only have one summon contracted to our services, so we could really use some more support. Also, speaking of setting shit up ahead of time, we did start doing the Wisp thing, right?
>>
>>36500092
We'd be better off just getting an entirely different named summon with more power from an established mythos instead of a generic baby hydra whose life's achievements include eating dead bodies and jobbing hard against mechs
>>
>>36499990
We could take Thorn off. I doubt it'd be all that useful compared to Nitro Fiends. I can't imagine a scenario in which a chunk of sharp wood would kill someone better than an explosion.
>>
>>36500107
That's how they work. It'd be a gift unto her and she'd brandish it as well as use it as a focus.
>>
>>36500176
I certainly thought we did. We may also want to contract and bump up the Sisters

>>36500182
It doesn't really matter anon. It saves us time and energy simply reworking the Hydra, we could almost certainly go in a completely different direction with it so that it was completely unrecognizable. The Hydra is shit because we never developed it, not because it is inherently shit.
>>
>>36500182
>>36500226
Do we even still have the Hydra? I'm pretty sure it was a barely-there thoughtform, so it should either still be contracted or have vanished.
>>
>>36500238
Yes we still have it, no it's not contracted. Not like it matters. The contract was awful.
>>
>>36500238
It still exists. It just can't manifest on its own and we haven't seen fit to call on it.

Contract wise, the hyrda is still very much a blank slate I don't foresee any issues with contracting it.
>>
So did we get LIMIT from the last couple threads or not? I'm really confused about how that stuff works.
>>
>>36499990
>Combo cast with Emilia for Ignorance and/or break.
Definitely want to do.
>Buff Legna to R4
Another definite want. Maybe go for r5
>Remodel Hydra
Ehh... Iffy on this one. If we get to everything else and feel confident in it, then do this.
>Thorn Cantrip
I want to do this, but not right now. Maybe during one of the timeskips if we live through this.
>Fire platforms
Sure. This one should be easy.
>Poison gas and spread with Tony.
Sure, though this one is just barely higher priority than the Hydra for me.
>>
>we still haven't looled in a mirror
Dran why?
>>
>>36501246
Because Dran likes to fuck with us.

Either that or he never really decided what he wanted to say Asher's eye looks like because he expected us to go full-fae and he's just waiting for us to finish the process before he says anything about appearance because he doesn't like to spend update time describing things that are going to change anyway
>>
>>36501276
Man, we want to go full fae now that people aren't going to fuck it up but I don't know how. He said something about the portal still being there but like the mirror we didn't end up doing anything about it.
>>
>>36501386
The portal tree has seeds. Planting the seeds will cause the area they're planted in to become faerielands. It won't be as extreme as the portal tree in Chicago, but we can do it multiple times to get the same effect.

Asher's goal is NATUUUURE and forests and shit. Converting the forests into faerielands so that the fae will protect it when he's not there is the only way he knows how to make sure his improvements don't fade away.

He's going to be going around planting the faerie tree seeds in other forests, probably starting with that forest that the ZG portal door leads to. Going full-fae or not just a matter of whether or not he wards himself while he does it.

Also we were planning to make a plant homunculus thing with Xix's help and the current leading plan is to use a faerie to power the thing. Dran said that doing that would likely result in Xix becoming our familiar, and the faerie magic might finish off Asher's faefication, especially if he creates the thing while in faerielands.
>>
>>36501386
>>36501469
Oh, and the light elves told Camille to eat one of the tree seeds to speed up her own faefication.

Asher could probably munch acorns too if he wasn't all weird about eating plants.
>>
>>36501469
with the plant thing there's also the possibility to make a bulk contract with Einherjars over Odin if we need soldiers in addition to scouts/harassing units
>>
>>36501567
Yep, I was imagining that most of the plant things would be Norse powered. I'd still like to use a fae for the first one though.

Also kinda wondering about whether or not we'd be able to make plant things that are entirely their own new things without stuffing established Astrals into them, but I'm starting to think that Dran may have retroactively decided that Asher 2shit4that.
>>
Been catching up on the archives so I won't actually vote until I finish, just had one question.

How many full retard moments have happened since we summoned Nora?
>>
>>36502017
There were a couple, and they were really big.

Surprisingly, none of them involved Nora herself. She was one of the chillest characters in the quest.
>>
>>36502017
I hope Lucifer route wasn't a make or break thing for you, anon.
>>
>>36502043
She even left on good terms and everything she has done that comes back to us has actually helped us in a way.
>>
>>36502017
2, though the first opened up previously locked out options that people wanted to do and the second ended up net positive and it solved the main consequence of the first fuckup.
>>
>>36501614
Asher's actually really coming into his own now, between Biggie and the Summer Court.
>>
>>36502088
Asher is Biggie. They're the same being now.
>>
>>36502074
Now that I think about it, there was another fuckup that happened before those. Resulted in the death of a character, but I don't think anyone was really all that upset about it because we knew that if they hadn't died, it would have turned into a massive issue.
>>
>>36502110
I know. I meant to say he's gotten a lot better since that happened. Who knew all it took was a little bit of serious mass murder to pull Asher together?
>>
>>36502088
It's kinda funny. Asher's had the reputation of being "that asshole fairy guy" with the npcs ever since he summoned Nora, but we've never really seen him like that because we were secretly doing Luci stuff.
>>
>>36502158
It occurs to me that the only thing we've said to fatty was to laugh at him and call him a fat fuck just this thread. In fact, that might be the most the group at large has heard from us in weeks.
>>
>>36502176
Actually, no, that's even better. We just showed up, a terrorist who tagged along on their jail break, acted like a dick, killed a few thousand people, vanished, and then came back only so we could make them help us summon a shit ton of dickass astrals and turn the city into an active war zone, one side gunning specifically for us at that. No wonder Dran hates us.
>>
>>36502176
I think that may have been my fault.

I sent Dran an ask yesterday (he never answered it) in which I said that the my inner (douchebag) child would totally call refer to Hughes as "Huge" and mock him for being a fatass.
>>
>>36502176
Then we walk off with Gertrude, she thinks we're going to get down with some kinky master-slave play, but instead we spew a bunch of spaghetti at her and act all surprised that she didn't try to murder us on the spot.

Asher is fucking terrible from everyone elses' point of view, and it's hilarious.

Daedalus vision is probably going to be 3000 words of a nerd screeching about "fucking nigger fairies" and "that goddamn asshole faggot manlet".
>>
>>36502240
You know, I can't even think about it without laughing, so I do not believe for an instant that Asher will be able to keep a straight face when someone asks him "Dude, what the fuck?" Nah, he's just gonna laugh and go off doing tree shit again. That'll be the point we get ran out of the group.
>>
>>36502215
>a terrorist who tagged along on their jail break
Actually, everyone (except Hughes) knows that breaking Asher out was their main objective and they just got let out because Marcus felt like being a cheeky fuck and hitting all the buttons. Saph told em so on the evac chopper.

Which makes it even worse, since they think that Asher's somehow important or powerful or something, but he just keeps fucking everything up and causing chaos.
>>
>>36502250
No, it's better than that, since it's Luci's fault that they think that, who maimed us and left us for dead. It's just some dickass astrals dicking them around again. Saph would blow a gasket.
>>
>>36502262
Actually isn't. It's Luci's fault that they know about Asher, but there was some kind of bullshit flow prophecy prediction nonsense that said his and Saph's/Marcus' fates could intertwine for happenings.

If he had just spied on them without the fate bullshit, they would have just assassinated him instead of jailbreaking.
>>
You guys also want to fix Kara's talking parts?
>>
>>36502176
No no no, we also mocked his dreams. Can't forget about that.
>>
>>36502287
Zicks would like it, and she is our newest friend. I'm in favor.

>>36502276
Really? I'll have to recheck the earlier threads then.
>>
It's weird seeing Fiend actually work. I thought for sure that the nig elves were going to dodge that shit.
>>
>>36502054
No, I never wanted a Luci route.

Would have been fun to bro it up with male Lucifer and just drink bourbon and smoke cigars by a fire place.
>>
>>36502341
Well, you're in luck. We summoned the fallen angel of Lust, it was bitchy and didn't want to do a contract. When we were really apprehensive about it, she decided to use sketchy borderline mind-influencing sex magic to make us trust her. People freaked out, shot her in the face with explosions, and then there was a huge fight where Emilia of all people suddenly stopped being shit and saved us. Then we go see Luci, she's pissy about us getting one of her generals effectively killed, but she forgives us and wants us to lick her feet. People freaked out and told her and Dran to go fuck themselves.

Welp, time to finish those archives because that sounds like comedy gold.
>>
>>36502365
Biggest breakdown in communication ever
>>
>>36502414
The entire thing makes me salty as fuck because Dran just kept responding with mind control every single time the players were like "we want to take this deal, it sounds pretty good, we just want the tiniest assurance that things will be OK because it looks sketchy as fuck". It's not even like it was unreasonable of us. Literally -anything- would have made it not go how it did. Asmadei refused to even say "relax, bitch, I'm not going to kill you or anything".

And fucking Lucifer was the biggest idiot of all here. Last time we saw her, she was all like "well, I could give you an imp I guess" and then out of fucking nowhere we get one of the Fallen when we were just trying to get some generic demon or something, and it starts throwing ultimatums at us.
>>
>>36502365
>I'm your friend, you know
>DIE FRIEND!

>>
>>36502464
Speaking of friends, I miss Friend. He really did mean well. It's almost unfortunate that we'll probably have to kill each other the next time we meet.
>>
>>36502469
But I love druids.
>>
>>36502479
Well I guess you're gonna like this then. Asher turned Chicago into a fae-infested warzone as part of a convoluted plot to make sure the trees are happier.

"Oh, you're a new water mage? Better go into the desert and meet up with this crazy bitch named Jackie"

>Get Summoning to Expert
>Be able to summon Legna at r6 (as strong or stronger than she was during the Sluagh fight) if we use a medium.
And Master does r6 + "full realization", whatever that means.

I can hardly wait.
>>
>>36503926
Yeah we should realy get summoning up.
Maybe get one or two other summons that we can work with
>>
>>36504492
Tetras are somewhere around here, though I count them more as a single group-type summon. They came through the portal though so we'd have to be careful with em.

It'll be cool as fuck though once we hit Master rank with the Tetras since I'm pretty sure the full realization will turn them into literal gods. Or at least get em pretty damn close
>>
>>36504522
Tetras are pretty good summons considering group casting with them will be extremly beneficial for nearly everything
>>

Figuring out how to bring out the RB as a full-fledged summon might be good.
