That feel when don't have fitting pic...

Last time among the bandit band led by a Super Villain from long before. A village was ruthlessly taken and enslaved completely. We conquered it not entirely sure what to do with it though...

Some snazzy proper uniforms were created all looking quite similar despite the common lack of materials also stealthy.

Now awaits the question...of what must be done now?

It's very... Complex.
We aren't a typical quest, there is like 8 of us who have played this for over a year now, in the same world. The title is more for coding purposes in the archive.

"Man what is with this racket that went on while we were on shift..."

"Fuck if I know man right sounds like some kind of screaming ice cream with whipped screams, and a cherry that sings."

"Wait you fuckers was it screams from people?"

"Well yeah but there was something more..."

"Yup."

"Then what exactly was?"

"Sorta like shrieking?"

"Nah man it was SINGING?"

"oh...god for the love of god tell ME NOW?"

"Eh you hear that?"

"oh yeah I do it sounds JUST like that right now!"

"...oh fuck."

"eh whats wrong boss?"

"Best start praying to whatever gods you pay attention to lads for that is the Song of the Sirens."

"...shit."

"But...but."

"Well ALRIGHT then QUICK GET US OUR FEMALE BANDITS OUT PRONTO!"

"aHEM."

"Ah adviser what you doing here?"

"We DON'T have any."

"...wut?"

"Females when thrown out prefer to...oh I don't know shy AWAY from the bandit groups who do certain things for obvious reasons?"

"Ooh nuts."

"Ahem yes well obviously when one treats females poorly said potential female recruits tend to shy AWAY from joining up with them."

"But what if their slaves?"

"Who says they wont get enslaved hm?"

"But...but..."

"Normally we COULD circumvent this problem by recruiting them from a outcast sect as that carries certain insurances however when you consider that currently one must-"

"Yeah i get it....so now we be fucked."

"Hey at least they ain't harpies."

"At least with the harpies they just kill you after awhile," points out the adviser.

"Well any idea how deep they be striking?"

"No idea seems like their performing their usual raids, eventually they'll find out though. Whether they decide to show up to kick our shit in this past or the next one who knows."

"sirens aka the elites of female water type banditry. Harpies are their flying equivalent. there are however a number of other differences besides."

"most importantly that being that the Sirens are HUGE slavers aka control(mind) freaks. Unlike the Harpies who prefer their 'purity'(ahem lack of tech number and carrying capacity besides other reasons) the Sirens have no qualms of using mass amounts of lesser fodder and causing massive havoc with their abilities.

where the Harpies have their Sonic Shriekers the Sirens prefer their enthralling Call Cannons."

"Just be warned Sirens are some the worst bandits can ever encounter on the coasts or waters. They unlike the 'slavers' don't bother with their preference for the Grey. They simply put are superb enslavers."

"Supposedly the very first siren dates back to a young slave girl being taken in by a pack of monsters known as sirens when they killed her masters. There for some reason they raised the girl as if she was their own...hence their namesake and similar abilities."

"Others claim the very first Siren was actually a warped female slaver who acquired the namesake from their familiarity."

Truth be told the facts are long forgotten."

Granted we are rapers, but I can only hope with our new boss man we started to change our ways a bit. Like take them on a walk and stuff. Then offer a drink and so on.

"So headphones to block out sound yes...do you even know HOW they actually do it?"

"They might not only use it that way...well regardless I look into it...without a lab or materials with little time. Totally can do.

WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!

THE SLAVES ARE REBELLING!

Troop ships are dropping down hordes of troops who are rushing us.

Call Cannons are being fired.

Their ships hanging in the back are offering cover fire pummeling the way forwards in front of their troops and us at the same time.

The slaves have proven the most suspectable and are causing havoc from within.

Meanwhile some of our own troops have fallen to it...though not as easily.

Either way they are able to quickly sweep across considering all the turmoil we are suffering both internally and getting bombarded forcing us to keep our heads down they quickly punch through.

They swiftly pour in snatching troops and grabbing loots on their way out before departing...

Dr. Dread

Pre Fall super villain of the Dreads Family.

NOT to be mistaken for Dooms who have a bad habbit of dooming themselves and those around them.

Supposedly they drove themselves extinct before even the Fall could...yeah they were really that BAD.

This particular esteemed Dr. Dread is a EVIL Super Genius. Who DOESN'T suffer from MAD. After all 'you don't have to be crazy to be evil.'

This Dr. Dread graduated from Umbra University at the tender age of 5.

Acquired a Doctorates in EVIL at 10.

and was a full fledged Super Villain at 13.

Dr. Dread was truly an astounding figure worthy of the Dread name. Dr. Dread was SO good in fact was said to be have been the sole surviving intern to Dr. Doom.

Yes one of THOSE Doctor Dooms.

How the doctorate I was acquired you ask?

By screwing over said Dr. Doom so one could survive also to JACK all that DELICIOUS doom tech.

Truly a worthy graduate of Umbra right there.

Anyway Dr. Dread was one of the DEADLIEST Super Genius types while NOT being one of the wretched masterminds Dr. Dread WAS however a potent holder of LORDLY as secondary.

Simply put Dr. Dread was only one step below Mastermind in terms of threat

So dangerous in fact an ENTIRE team of heroes were considered the super villain's arch nemesis.

Dr. Dread was suffering a loser bout when a something went wrong involving an escape pod and swore to return.

This time Dr. Dread bit off a bit more then one could get away with as a grand finale upon finding out some...news made it so Dr. Dread would unleash one of the DOOM's invention which obviously would insure DOOM!

However the heroes reunited to put Dr. Dread down once and for ALL!

>>36672712

Forces sent to the volcano they braved the jungles and eventually reached it climbing up though...they noticed what appeared to be a crashed and apparent battle with a odd tunnel bored through the volcano before parts of machinery dropping off from there.

Above them they swore to have seen a flying train taking off rather haphazardly.

When they reached the end of the tunnel and peered down....expecting to see well you know the obvious magma or cap right?

Instead...well they noticed something right bizarre.

above them...the walls were molten machinery with red cherry pipes, the roof a strange field flickered holding up a dome of lava, and below a facility with pipes and a new hole. As well as some sort of strange machine falling down past/through it into the awaiting flickers beyond it.

The sides of the volcano are coated in seemingly molten machinery.

There are strange pipes and insallations rising from the murk below the the shiny flickering dome holding back the magma above.

Down below a massive installation hanging there in the void...

Below that strange murkiness.

Basically there are pipes, bulges, and structures clasped along the walls or climbing themselves up from the void.

Below them is a massive installation...just hanging there.

Far above is a flickering dome above which is swirling molten lava.

Below the massive installation is a strange murkiness with odd flickers here and there.

and its all dimly illuminated in a red light with different lines shining on pipes, walls, or structures.

Some of which flicker, go out, or move around.

...LT. Dora(don't ask) with her pet spidermonkey(seriously), and seemingly female(don't) led an exploratory team going deeper in.

The results...well went VERY well. Mostly due to the spider monkey clambering up along the wall to clasp some rope to nearby structure which was then used to get across.

From there....they state there is an entire...multi complex according to Dora who found some old maps. Apparently its most focussed around the volcano thanks to the regular errupting of particular material AND it being a major energy source. Power stations are all over the place and what they power can supposedly cover a ton of ground.

...though that wasn't the best part.

The best part is...Dr. Dread upon reviewing the information pointed out a seemingly casual facility and said the magic words.

"This place is capable of charging power cells." Power cells AKA batteries on crack and DON'T have the mini problems of nukes. A single good hyper cell is capable of running a suit of power armor for decades.

"See this lines here and conduits? Plasma."

"Stay the fuck away from it. You don't want to know what plasma does without upkeep or shit gets whacked."

"So these locations right here, here, and here are dead zones."

Meanwhile Dora checks out the nearby places noted odd machines climbing up, down, and all around. Along with a number of lifts and trolleys.

apparently this entire volcano is highly interconnected. according to Dr.Dread.

"Normally you would NEVER find shit this inter connected problem is obviously all the highest concentrations of power are located here so obviously concessions are made. I wouldn't have my hopes up for something like this else where."

Only decent for summons which is temporary. As for the monsters, freaks, and the alien...well lets say you wont be seeing that shit going on them precious gilded areas."

Break open a supply so we don't starve to death.

If the locals are going to learn to wise up to us, let's learn to wise up to them. This is a good opportunity to really hone in our raiding/assault skills.

Let's focus on the village that took the longest to repell us, and seems the likeliest candidate to fall.

Let's mix up our strategies, perhaps starting with a long range bombardment that is NOT immediately followed by an assault. Instead, the ships cease fire for a while, wait for them to peek out of their holes, and then proceed to bombard again.

Infantry will practice various strategies including feints, sneak attacks, whichever bandit leader manages to create a penetration earns a promotion.

We'll keep pinning on the pressure trying different things until we find the one thing that works best for us

World wide sadness? Can you go in more detail? If I'm going to tell of the adventure of doctor davenport, Murphy the mad, and jacklin the centaur (will explain in story) I need to know what the place would be like if someone went there a cupple years after it ended
>>
>>36676011
The best tech civ would be Vault 101, who specialized in cybernetics. Particularly in BLACK/[REDACTED] psy-interface cybernetics and psy-boosting.

They ended when we mourned for our dead (who were very many). It caused a psy feedback loop that made the entire world grieve with us, and brought about peace in the Post-Apoc for a time.

It's not a long civ though, so you should just read the archives. We won by thread 6 or 7 I think.

I knew putting work into that fluff would pay off.
>>
>>36676109
The troops where not meant to leave the town after the fighters where dealt with. They where to loot it and capture slaves before leaving
>>
>>36676151
They were fought off.

You should consider a larger scale military action against the town, you could probably overwhelm them with numbers.

hm you don't seem to understand the syncro going on between them.

They were the first heroic duo I decided to show off who had special synergy.

Most of the time that stuff is strictly hidden like with Toy and Cray, Richard and Clora or Joe and Duel Fist. There was also those ones who were the mutants farmers as well.

The combos they could pull off were pure evil and their synergy was something else entirely.

For you see with her Murphy is able to pull of MAD with a bit of security and SHE would be immune to any MAD effects. Active or passive.

On a side not she could make Bandit Crazies her bitch.

Worst of all are her Arsed Affinity which basically makes her a natural if she ever bothered...and more importantly Whammy.

Whammy allows for a freaky surprise attack with expo bonuses stacked on top. Basically it hurt like hell getting struck by it.

Her I can handle this makes her outright immune to deliberating effects including all manner of nastiness and can EVEN shutdown MAD effects.

IF you want to know her type its a beefed up Lady Assistant combined with Security Chief.

Quite the monster in the right hands with the bonuses it could unleash when combined with...for say someone like Murphy.

>>36676222

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLZS3jQPnKw

Troops started to train...a little to harshly/loudly people were dying and more importantly the monsters attention was drawn. Someone should of spoke up when the rocket launchers came out.

Among everybody SOMEONE should figured it would be a TERRIBLE idea to charge at the monsters and use them for 'practice' right into the jungle.

--------------

From an outsider's perspective they would of noticed a bandit band screaming about training montages and while surprisingly sober charging into the jungle during monster mayhem. All the while fighting against them and each other in brutal battle.

Even stranger still came a strange machine errupting out of the ground at the base, EXPLOSIONS from strode and creating more EXPLOSIONS, while at the same time a flying train that ran off RAPE came charging down from the heavens.

One must ask themselves what the HELL just happened?

ESPECIALLY when one sees a single figure striding in front of the EXPLOSIONS, amid the CARNAGE of the 'training montage' around them, and without looking back walked into the sunset.

Eduardo "Hornytoad" Estrada, otherwise known as "the greatest bandit of all time" has become a very old, very rich bandit. This is rare, in fact almost unheard of. In his old age he looked back on his men and thought "shit these guys suck nuts. If only I had about 200 of my self when I was I kid" and then it hit him. He could have as many of himself as he could afford. He could clone himself. NOPE. Cloning is expensive as fuck and his scientists keep saying they need "certain parts" whatever the fuck that means.

His trusted AI advisor AI [redacted] came to him in his time of need. "Why would you spend perfectly good resources on flesh anyways, its weak and spongy. I know you, your personality, every battle you have been through, every less than savory tactic you have used, I have logged and recorded. I basically have a digital copy of your brain. There is no reason we can't just slap that shit into a robot body and call it a day"
NOPE. That shit took too much processing power.
So the AI Bullshitted and faked it. It made something that kinda looked like the notorious bandit but was also sort of..quirky. Made with out a budget, secretly, with nothing but found parts and ambition. No standardization at all. What ever AI thought they were neat. You could almost say he liked them. He presented his idea to Eduardo...

"Well shit, when you put it that way, let's give it a shot"

"Well sir, I sort of... Took the liberty of making a test batch, I knew you would like the idea, I know you very well.."

"..troubling, very well let's see the prototype"

"Presenting the Bantito Bot 3.1"

"What happened to the earlier versions"

"Uhh...."

The young man begins to open his eyes. He is still physically numb, and his eyes too are having trouble adjusting to having use again. He works up the energy to blink a few times. He tries to stand, but decides instead to just get into a more comfortable sitting position.
“Good,” came a feminine voice from somewhere in front of the man, “Most try to stand up right away and end up breaking something.” The voice leaned in closer to the man to give him a chance to look upon a face for the first time in over a hundred years. “I know I did.”

Part 2 of 2

The man looked around a bit more, but couldn’t see anything more than a few feet in front of him. That was something though. Below him flowed the liquids that just a moment ago he was suspended in. They were spiraling away down a drain not too far away, changing colors with every tile they passed. To his right was the device that he had just come from, or possibly been freed from. A large green blob, emptied of its juices, sat in the middle of a large metal contraption with a glass cover lifted above it by some metal cables. The pod was adorned with an array of lights and more than a few bottles of yet more strange liquids, still half full.
His gaze turned to the unfamiliar woman in front of him. She wore a bit of light leather armor a strange golden symbol , and a long curved officer's sword strapped to her side.
He thought he’d attempt speaking, “Where... where am I? And why? Why was I here and.. and why was I in that thing?”
"That is an growth pod. You see long ago someone wanted an army. They decided to build one. We were made faster, stronger, and smarter. We where made to be better than normal men, but for some reason no one was there to take the buns out of the oven. We sat waiting the machines that made us continuing there work to make us the best we can be. Now that we are out we can thrive"

You may choose to UPGRADE anything with the Badass OR elite. If not they will be a RANDOM unit(which means it may include something that would normally be out of your reach)

This can INCLUDE special Unit Adviser(I never give out free special units good god what is wrong with me) or your hero.

I always do that anyway anon. I just like breaks and things.

Although I hate the idea of this ending (mostly because I just started playing) I'm willing to play fantasy.

Perhaps when your civ system is known by all some one else will step in and play the game

I had that mutant fluff cooking in my head for some time. I just blew my creative lode. The spirit is willing but the ideas are weak

Rolled 29, 92, 26, 81, 40 = 268 (5d100)

Just realized I gave you a free magi unit anyway so i updated stuff.

As for magi options here you GO!

>Warlocks/Witches(depends upon heroic choices will determine which)
>Shaman
>Mages
>Clerics
>Druids

hence why I need to test a few things out.

I can least DO the groundwork but i can't feasibly do anything more then that.

I am after all just one person with strengths and weaknesses.

However once its out there...maybe someone else will adopt it.

>We agree to play fantasy because Genie really wants to and he's giving us plenty of incentives
>Oh look they agreed to fantasy
>BETTER RENEGE ON MY PROMISES NOW!!!!

Gonna repeal easymode next, Genie?

>>36677129
Chill man. Some one poster great mutant fluff that distracted from the fantasy
>>
>>36677112

>>
Rolled 23 (1d100)

>>36677129
what did I renege on?

I only updated a few things.

>>36677133
meh.

Then get stuck with new blood and such choices tend to scare players off.

Also the dreaded anons who want females but can't play them for shit or their ugly cousins those who wish to play female with dick, but who doesn't actually act female.

>>36677148
Of course there will be centaurs and more besides.
>>
>>36677143
Genie needs someone to call him on stuff every now and then, it usually gets us bonuses too.

In this instance, he tempted us into something because he promised certain things...and now he's removed one of the most important things only after we agreed.

I'd've stuck to my post-apoc guns if I'd known we'd have to burn our Elites and Badasses to get an advisor hero. You don't know exactly how much that hero meant, but let me tell you it's some straight up bull to take him away after we agreed.
>>
Rolled 25 (1d100)

>>36677163
Its still there.

sorta accidentally spoiler.

the elite/bad ass stuff was just to offer additional upgrades for whoever.

Hurting moi feelings anons.
>>
>>36677188
It's ok genie I still love you
No homo

>>
Rolled 63 (1d100)

>>36677209

>>
>>36677238
And you don't know if I'm a pan dimensional fish. I just have a respect boner for your work
>>
I decide to fall asleep halfway in, and we wake up and we die.

This ALWAYS happens.

Everytime.
