Welcome to the LII installment of "Disney Villains Victorious."

Disney Villains Victorious is a new /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

No longer will Gatson 'stat me' threads have a vague and undefined answer from D&D.
He shall have his very own statblock, cemented and solid, for all eternity.

A thought: Lady Tremaine is a lowest-of-nobility living in Prydain. She thought she had finally attained true greatness when one of her daughters married the prince, but then the Horned King came and toppled the kingdom. She has become obsessed with her discovery that her stepdaughter consorted with a fairy, and will now do anything to gain the power of the fae. She's basically a Disneyfied Blackadder.

It is remarkably hard to get under this character’s skin, but if you do manage to do so, watch out. +3 to Endure if trying to keep a cool head, or ignore attempts by other characters to anger or set them off. I thought about it, but he just wasn't really all that pissed off until his plans have been defied *constantly*. I put it in the other kings because many of them flipped a shit the moment they actually got defied or insulted
>>

You may also want to put some armor on him. And give him a knife. That too.
Also maybe an ability that has something to do with the atlantean crystals?
Also
>Makes new captcha
>Is exactly the same as the old one except it fucks over mobile users
Goddamnit moot
>>
>>36672047

Hmm.

-Atlantean Overdrive
Spend a Will Point. Rourke's atlantean crystal supercharges his weapon and himself. +5 to all rolls for four turns.

How's that?
>>
>>36672144
Sure.
And maybe this?

-Air/Land/Sea Support
Call in some heavy firepower for two Will points. Make a combat roll that's Ranged2+Intelligence against the main party. Causes Burning and has an incredibly large AoE of 40m
>>
>>36672303

I'll call it Artillery Support and word it so that it comes from wherever is most convenient. If you're near the beach, boats, if you're in a building, helicopter, etc.

How's that?
>>
>>36672303
Another one

-Suppressing Fire
Order the ranged mooks and lackeys to lay down some suppressing fire. Reduces each PC and NPC's Prevent Harm rolls by X/10, where X is the number of mooks and lackeys. Requires at least 10 Mooks and lackeys to work. If decimal round.

>>
>>36675172
No but Gaston was not an evil man.
>>
>>36675158
>>36675172
They're both Villains. Gaston and Beast are both equally bad, Beast is just portrayed in a positive light. Belle just has serious stockholm syndrome.
>>
>>36675118
>Kidnaps girl's father to force her to marry him.
>Leads mob to murder guy he saw in a mirror because girl likes guy better.
>Generally douchey and dishonorable.
>Falls to his death.

Yup. That's a Disney villain.
>>
>>36675170
>loved
sure. He wanted a woman who didn't want him, because she didn't want him. Try not to delude yourself too much.
>>
>>36675172
Gaston was in love with Belle but he never kidnapped her and held her prisoner and made her love him through stockholme syndrome.

>>36675213
Belle father was a known loon around the village. Locking him up for all he knew was the best thing to do since he could have been having an episode while Belle was in danger.

Gaston didn't know shit about Beast except that he had kidnapped Belle and was keeping her there and he looked like a monster. He was mounting a rescue party.

Being douchey doesn't mean he has to die.
>>
>>36675118
gr8 b8 m8. I r8 8/8
>>
>>36675192
That's a bit of a simplification. The Beast is the classic protagonist in that he changes some aspect of his character in order to fulfill his goals.

Yes he's a villain because he kidnapped Belle at the start. However, he changes drastically (becomes more caring, expresses empathy, becomes mannerly), and it's only after these changes become apparent that Belle falls in love with him.

So, he's definitely a villain at the beginning, but he's a changed man at the end.
>>
>>36675239
wasn't gaston also like, kind of pissy about belle reading because he thought that wasn't a womans place, and wanted to make it so that belle wouldn't read anymore? seems somewhat villainous to me.
>>
>>36675286
He didn't even kidnap Belle. She chose to stay in exchange for her father. In fact, when she tries to leave, he gladly lets her.
>>
>>36675239
The whole basis of the movie is the redemption of the Beast and the fact that he goes from acting out of fear and anger to being able to feel true love and care for belle, redeeming himself for his initial sin of turning away the old woman who is really the enchantress who cursed him.

Also, the stockholme syndrome thing is very obvious, and we all can see it. If we're assigning Belle mental disorders, #4 on this list makes a strong case for schizoid personality disorder: http://www.cracked.com/article_19336_6-beloved-characters-that-had-undiagnosed-mental-illnesses.html. It's interesting, you may want to check it out.
>>
>>36675296
It was his opinion but he never enforced it. His trying to win Belle over, while futile maybe were genuine. He never forced anything on her.

I'm not saying they'd be good together or that he wasn't a douche but he wasn't evil and he never tried to hurt Belle.

For all he knew Beast was a monster that kidnapped her and her dad might really have been crazy.
>>
>>36675336
i'm not saying that you're wrong, but i don't think gaston is used to being denied what he wants, and he wants belle to stop reading. he's gonna make her stop reading.
>>
>>36675336
Except he doesn't lock up her dad because he thinks he's dangerous. He locks him up to extort Belle. He even says he'd let him go if she married him.

So, extorting someone by threatening her father? Real paragon of morality, there.
>>
>>36675239
>Gaston was in love with Belle
No, he wasn't. He's extremely clear about his motives in the opening song.
>She's the prettiest.
>Prettiest=best
>I deserve the best.
He wants to marry her to flatter his ego.

>Belle father was a known loon around the village. Locking him up for all he knew was the best thing to do since he could have been having an episode while Belle was in danger.
Nice try, but he's quite clear that he intended to keep her father imprisoned unless she relented. Blackmailing people into marrying you is pretty rapey.

>Gaston didn't know shit about Beast except that he had kidnapped Belle and was keeping her there and he looked like a monster. He was mounting a rescue party.
Nice try, but Beast had released Belle, and she was right in front of Gaston when he went all murder-happy.

>Being douchey doesn't mean he has to die.
He died because he slipped and fell after literally stabbing someone who had spared his life in the back.
>>
>>36675336
>It was his opinion but he never enforced it.
He casually tossed her book aside. You know, that personal property that was hers and not his.

>He never forced anything on her.
He kidnapped her father with the explicit purpose of extorting her into marrying him. He's a kidnapper, blackmailer, and would-be rapist.

>...but he wasn't evil and he never tried to hurt Belle.
See above.

>For all he knew Beast was a monster that kidnapped her and her dad might really have been crazy.
He admitted that he only had her father thrown in the looney bin to extort Belle. He also could hear her clearly when she said the Beast would not harm anyone.

Has anyone thought of any more Pixar movies we could include? The Incredible seems interesting with Syndrome.
>>
>>36677923
Wait for the expansions, mate.
>>
>>36677923
Incidentally, speaking of the expansions, it seems as if both the city in The Incredibles and Carl's old house in Up are located in the Bay Area of California - in the former, the homing beacon scene zooms in on a spot in the East Bay (and the RV scene has some actual road directions in it), and Up concludes at Fentons, which is in Oakland. Since Pixar's HQ is in the East Bay, this isn't too surprising.

So, thought I've had. We have Yen Sid and his nine buddies about as deities; why not also include the authors/earliest known recorders of the original tales in the pantheon?

Question though: should we stat or find some way to include Kidagakrystal or the other members of the original Expedition into things, or just leave them and whatever role they'd play in an Atlantean campaign up to GM discretion? Also, have any provisions been made to try and reason with Rourke rather than fight him outright?

See that's getting into murky waters. Some of the authors are pretty cut and dry--I mean, a couple of the fairy tales could easily be explained away by The Brothers Grimm, Victor Hugo for Hunchback and that one French author for The Little Mermaid.

But then you get into all the mythology of different places--folk tales that really have no set "this is when a man first recorded it" date and just simply have been part of the consciousness for a long time--explicitly looking at Scotland's Brave and Wales' The Black Cauldron for both, because both have deep-rooted Celtic origins that can't be precisely pinpointed. Also, Greek myth--specifically, the myth of Hercules. We could go on and on about Ovid or Euripides or Virgil, but like Celtic myth the stories were all just sorta there and the playwrights wrote about these different exploits after they came about.
>>
>>36678299

I feel like I'm missing something here. Was this worked out in that week or so of threads I was absent for? Would you mind giving me a brief synopsis? I hate to ask, but I'm at work at the moment and can't effectively search the archive.
>>
>>36678566
We know for sure that Lloyd Alexander wrote the Chronicles of Prydain, even if the authors behind the Mabinogion, which inspired the series, have had their names lost to the sands of time. The real problem with Britain would be the fuckton of guys who've written Arthurian stuff.

Also, Mabinogion is a fucking cool word. It should be the name of some important book in Prydain.

>>36678625
Yen Sid is Disney backwards. We're portraying Walt and his closest coworkers as gods of the setting because, well, they are in a way.
>>
>>36678728

Ah, alright. I'd heard talk of the Wizard Yen Sid in previous threads but wasn't aware that he and Disney's core group were thought of as godly. For some reason, I was thinking you might be referring to the remaining Disney heroes and heroines like the wandering Merlin and Mulan the Undying being deified.
>>
I'm currently looking through the Kings and Villains page to try to understand how a King ought to be statted out because I'd really like to do Empress Yzma's.
>>
>>36678947
Yzma should probably be among the lines of Grimhilde: kind of vulnerable to getting her shit kicked in, shitty at kicking shit in, but oh boy, the potions she can throw at you.
>>
>>36678947

I'm really having difficulty working out the statting scheme here. I'm going to keep trying to work this out and get Yzma done, and maybe a few villains under her:

>Kronk: "I'm Yzma's right hand man so, if anyone's going to fight you or feed you it's probably going to be me. Really kinda wish I got to do the second one more than the first. My spinach puffs are to die for. But what are you gonna do?"

>Failed Experiment 437: This gaudy stone construct was one of Empress Yzma's first forays into the science of golemetry, and was meant to be something of a bodyguard with an optional massage protocol. The bad news is that it's a terrible masseur. The worse news it's a fantastic bodyguard.

>Cava the Colossal Chimera: "After the accident in the Potion Vat Works this is the only job I could get! I'm only 11,000 Yzdollars away from being able to afford a Human potion! A girl's gotta work! Don't look at me like that!!!"
>>
>>36675329
>cracked
Get that shit out of this sacred place.
>>
>>36679186

I see Yzma as a smart character primarily, but what would she be secondarily? Normally I'd pair smart with sensible or charming, but in terms of character Yzma isn't sensible or charming. She's a crazy old woman who's scary beyond all reason. I'm considering splitting her secondary stats between robustness and agility given her cartoonish survivability.
>>
>>36678566
The Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christian Andersen. He was Danish.

>>36678728
The Sword in the Stone is the first book of T. H. White's The Once and Future King, loosely based on Malory's Morte D'Arthur.

The real horror of this setting is not that the bad guys win, but that culture is subsumed into the Disney hegemony.

Rourke is one of the most reasonable villains. In the test campaign, unless the players REALLY cock up they'll be siding with him. He's really no worse than the average everyday politician with a superiority complex.

>>36679305
Definitely gotta include some form of incan mech-suit thing, as stupid as it would be.

>>36680798
Give her piles upon piles of potions and assume that she's always accompanied by Kronk to actually fight for her rather than forcing her into combat herself. Remember that above all she's a comic relief king compared to most.

Hey, we know that you're busy and how much you've done for the thread already. Likewise, work's taken a lot out of me too. What I have thus far:

Name: Empress Yzma the First and Last
Role: BRILLIANT/BRILLIANT/BRILLIANT
Class: Mad Scientist
Size: Medium
Species: Human... Probably...
Tier: Hero

---Attributes---
Robustness: 5
Agility: 12
Intelligence: 20
Sensibility: 12
Charm: 5

Will: 7/7
Strikes: 8 + 3X, with X being the number of members in the party

---Skills---
Ranged: 7
Brawl: 5
Prevent Harm: 10
Endure: 15
Deceit: 14
Persuasion: 16
Intimidate: 18
Academics: 15
Science: 18
Occult: 18
Mechanics: 10
Linguistics: 5
Insight: 15
Craft: 18

---Traits---
-Master of an Army:
Can call in any Villains that haven’t been defeated.
-EMPRESS:
This unit is an EMPRESS, with all the benefits that entails.
-Scary Beyond All Reason:
+2 to Intimidate rolls during all social interactions, regardless of intention. +3 to Intimidate when used on purpose. +5 to Intimidate regardless of intention if the threats of seduction or nudity are invoked.
-Prideful Empress
Social Strikes count double. For every double Social Strike taken, obtain a +3 to all attack and Intimidate rolls against the party that inflicted them.
-MAD SCIENCE:
All potions, devices and monsters created by this unit get a +5 bonus toward their intended purposes, but also grant the unit's opponents +2 to rolls attempting to use or turn the creation against its creator.
-Pretty Spry For Her Age:
+3 to Athletic, Acrobatics and Brawl rolls to escape or cause grievous bodily harm that you wouldn't expect from a normal old woman.

I'm also exploring the possibilities of her basically using her creations like Pokemon, and I have her a few ranks in Brawl because I thought it was funny to have her try to scratch the PCs' eyes out.

Looking forward to trying to stat those three under bosses too.
>>
>>36681451
I question your decision to give her such ridiculously high Persuasion and Intimidate scores, but it looks pretty good otherwise.
>>
>>36681451
>prevent harm 22
>endure 27
Looks about right. But my god, Intimidate +25 on average. Should make up for her low charm.
>>
>>36681475
>>36681495

I had jacked those scores up on account of her being too off-putting to effectively charm anyone, and to try and weapon use her craziness seeing as how she can't rely too much on physical strength. Plus, she's bound to be a bit more comedic and less dire-serious than other Kings. I'm not attached to anything really and have no problems changing it.

What about this as the makings of a power:

-PULL THE LEVER!
Spend 2 Will Points. This unit may find and pull a hidden lever somewhere in the room, causing one of the following to occur:
1. A trapdoor opens in the floor, forcing the PCs to pass an Acrobatics check to avoid falling into it. The Target Number to beat is a pretty easy 15. Falling incurs a time penalty of 12 rounds while the PC finds their way back to the battle. If all the OCs are caught in the trap, they will be flushed out of the Palace's nostril.
2. A secret passageway opens in the wall, releasing a total of 6 Mooks that immediately attack the PCs. These Mooks can be Human guards, Yzmic Chimera, Golem Constructs or some combination thereof.

With other options being potions spilling down from the ceilings, spike plate traps, mini bosses and the like.

Actually, it might not be a stretch to make this her sole power and have the entire right be orchestrated this way.
>>
>>36681743
up the TN for trapdoor to 20.

Up the number of mooks summoned to either lackeys or increase their numbers.
>>
>>36681967

Done, and the I'll make the first one a large number of Mooks, another one a smaller number of Lackies, and then then a single mini boss. What about something like:

1. Trapdoor

I got a name for the modern expansion:
Disney Villains Victorious: Gridlocked
>>
>>36682192
Not bad. Can we find a way to fuse it with the Dreamworks expansion? Or is that reaching too far for one splat?
>>
>>36682192
Really good name actually, well done.
>>
>>36682235
Probably best to keep Dreamworks to its own xpac. A lot of it is medieval/ancient compared to the modern stuff.

Still working on Yzma, but still at work. Will complete it by the time I get home and then move into some villains. Might try my hand at a little writing.

I personally prefer Yen Sid being called Yensid T'law, but whatever you guys say.

-PULL THE LEVER!
Spend 2 Will Points. This unit may find and pull a hidden lever somewhere in the room, causing one of the following to occur:
1. A trapdoor opens in the floor, forcing the PCs to pass an Acrobatics check with a Target Number of 20 to avoid falling into it. Falling in incurs a time penalty of 12 rounds while the PC finds their way through the sewers and back to the battle. If all the PCs are caught in the trap, they will be flushed through the sewers and out the palace's nostril.

2. A gated tunnel in one wall opens, releasing a total of 12 Mooks into the room that will immediately attack the PCs on Yzma's order. These Mooks can be Human guards, Yzmic Chimera, Golem Constructs or some combination thereof.

3. The entire room begins to tilt and whirl and spin, throwing everyone and everything in it around like rag-dolls, stunning them for one round. Once they recover, the PCs will be required to make Acrobatics checks with a Target Number of 25 every sixth round as the room continues to lurch and reel. Failing the check results in getting stunned again for one round.

4. A secret passage in one wall reveals itself, opening up to allow 6 Lackeys to run in and enter into combat with the PCs. These Lackeys are generally Yzmic Chimera, Golem Constructs or one of Empress Yzma's other experiments.

5. Pipes, ducts and sluices open in the ceiling, raining down a melange of magical and mutagenic potions and poisons. Players may make Acrobatics checks to try and avoid this hazard, but the Target Number to beat is 30. Any PC coated in the potions will have their highest and lowest Attributes swapped, the in-character representation of which is left to the Players' discretion.

6. A loud and raucous fanfare blares out, and an oversized pair of ornate golden doors in one wall opens to reveal one of Empress Yzma's Champions, lounging in a waiting room behind them. After some cajoling and haranguing on Yzma's part, the Champion will challenge the PCs to battle.
>>
>>36684392
Looks good. Clarity on 6 is needed, best to put up the stats somewhere, probably an Inner Circle of some sort.
>>36683900
I mean, there are politicians without superiority complexes, they just don't tend to rise very far. Low-level politicians, in my experience, are perfectly agreeable people.

As to what you're asking;
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to add too much backstory, but as long as they don't interact with the world too much I see no harm in it.
>>
>>36684473

I was a bit confused by the differences between Inner Circle and Villain on the Wiki. I'm home now so I'll clarify that as I continue working on the stats.
>>
>>36678728
>Also, Mabinogion is a fucking cool word. It should be the name of some important book in Prydain.
>Trying this hard to make a literature joke

It's okay, anon. I got it. Book of Three, right?

Also fuck Captcha
>>
So how many expansions are we gonna do exactly? What's been proposed so far:

>Things I ain't Even Tried: Magic
>Gridlocked/Third Star to The Right/To Infinity and Beyond!: Modern/Future Disney stuff
>Bad Bluth/Twisted Dreams: Non-Disney stuff
>Twisted Toons: Self-explanatory
>No Rest for The Wicked: More Villain stuff, playing a minor badguy
>Hellfire: Religious war in the Mediterranean
>Under The Sea/A Pirate's Life: Adventures underwater and on the seven seas
>Everybody Wants to be a Cat: more beasts stuff
>>
Yanno, something just occured to me.

Star Wars couldn't go into the future expansion at all anyway

Why? 'cuz it happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away
>>
>>36685427
Might be cool. But it's given me two thoughts.

The first is how exactly we might handle said book falling into the hands of the PCs. Yes, it could be a potent tool, but it could be too potent a tool. And of course, ambiguous prophecies are harder to write, but it's the only way to prevent prophecy paradoxes. Mind you, in the source material only Dallben could touch the Book of Three safely (the well-intentioned felt as if they were stung by a swarm of bees, and the wicked destroyed outright), so it's not exactly hard to keep out of PC hands if you only want it as scenery.

The second thought is what if it's not the only book in the world that tells the past, the present and the future as well?
>>
>>36685155
we haven't done many Inner Circles. They're more powerful than Mooks but less so than Villains, averaging 2+2x strikes, where X is the number of players.

>>36685955
Don't think we're doing Star Wars anyway, plenty of settings that do that already.

>>36685880
Yeah, but I think Hellfire may be a bit... focused? IDK.
>>
>>36686123
It had a little blurb at the end of the Adventurer's Almanac:

Victorious Villains: Hellfire
Delve into the fractured Mediterranean and explore three vastly opposed religious realms. Contains special rules for playing as Catholics, Hellenics or Muslims and tonnes of new details to flesh out these realms.

It doesn't sound really Disney but that's just my opinion.
>>
>>36686123
Yeah, no Star Wars/Marvel, I say. By that logic, The Crow is a Disney movie - hell, it's more a Disney movie than those two, since it was actually made by Disney.
>>
>>36686248
>Delve into the fractured Mediterranean
But that would imply it was ever a whole. Hasn't the Mediterranean been split up between starkly different cultures for all of recorded history?
>>
>>36686356
Yes, but before i had never seen an all out war between a mad genie/sorceror, a fanatical lich and his inquisition and the greek god of the Underworld in the flesh. And the fishmen cultists.
>>
>>36686356
There was that one time when it was just Rome as far as the eye can see. Sure you still had the starkly different cultures, but the Romans were making them get along.
>>
>>36686429
We aren't doing lovecraft, are we?
Also, on that note; What the hell is going on with Davy Jones? He's pirate king now, right? Is Jack dead? Is Davy Jones at war with Ursula? He made peace with Calypso, so he's got some control over the ocean but still he has to do something about the QUEEN OF ALL OCEANS.

>>36686430
So they did. And then they all started fighting again as Rome's grip got weak and arthritic.
>>
>>36686468
I was speaking of Ursula actually. I might be misremembering but we had estabilished she probably has cults to her person and colonies of sharkmen on her land holdings, and she owns pretty much all of Sicily and Sardegna.
>>
>>36686468
Maybe they have some kind of "grudging respect and unspoken agreements" thing going on. Seriously she's supposed to be almost on par with Hades now that she has the Trident, yet it's getting easier to count the factions that are NOT screwing her over sideways with impunity
>>
>>36686623
Ursula's powerful, sure, but she's also trying to control a MASSIVE amount of area and she's a bit of a brute. Still, yeah, I think we need to give her a few plusses.
>>
Finishing up Empress Yzma's Stats. I'm not sure if she can afford more powers, and I will have to stat out Kronk for one of them to work. Also, I'm not at all sure what her equipment ought to be.

I welcome our Yzmic overlady
>>
>>36685880
All of these sound pretty interesting to me, though I have to echo some slight confusion at a Hellfire expansion. It feels a bit more historically driven, rather than Disney driven,
>>
>>36684392
>12 Mooks
>6 Lackeys
Let me tell you how powerful Heroes are.
5 heroes can take out 30 mooks in about 8 seconds. On On-a-Roll tier.
Players would usually be facing Yzma at very late On-a-Roll levels or Hero levels.
You may want to up both the numbers.
>>
>>36685880
yeah those all sound right, although Hellfire sounds like an odd supplement(although I'm not against the idea of Regional Supplements, we should save anything for those after we finish everything else)
>>
>>36687636

Somehow she's managed to keep an entire Empire's worth of people happy with or at least accepting of life as a group of mix-n-match chimeric critters without sunshine.

So, flipping around youtube in an attempt to figure out if the Pharoah from The Prince of Egypt can be slipped in sideways as a villain of Jafar (yeah, yeah, not Disney, but don't tell me that shit couldn't pass for Disney), and I have come to the conclusion that the Egyptians in that movie were complete fucking retards.

You have your priests. You know that they can turn staffs into snakes, and that they require fancy rituals and dozens of acolytes to do so. Then one day along comes this guy speaking on behalf on some "Yahweh" guy you've never heard, and what does he do when you when you talk shit to him? He taps his staff and it turns into a FUCKING COBRA. No ritual, no helpers, no powders, no flame, nothing, just FUCKING COBRA. This FUCKING SNAKE then proceeds to eat two of your snakes at the same time. Now, if that's not a sign that maybe, just maybe, you're the one swinging way, WAY above their weight class, I don't know what-oh, wait, I do know, THE TEN FUCKING PLAGUES OF EGYPT! WHY DID IT TAKE TEN FUCKING PLAGUES FOR THEM TO CLUE IN THAT LETTING A FEW THOUSAND OVERWORKED COMPLETELY REPLACEABLE SLAVES GO WAS A FUCKING BARGAIN ON "NOT GETTING YOUR ASS KICKED BY YAHWEH"? The first time, it was cute. Aw, look at that, he put some powder into some water and now it appears to be blood. Passing basic chemistry off as magic is so adorable. HEY DIPSHIT, THE LONGEST FUCKING RIVER IN THE WORLD WAS JUST TURNED TO FUCKING BLOOD! LET THE FUCKING HEBREWS GO! I didn't even feel sorry for him when the CREEPING DEATH came. He had ten fucking warnings. And the fact that he pursued them after the fact makes me wonder if the ancient Egyptians had a tradition of repeatedly dropping infants on their heads.

They don't even have the ability to turn staves into snakes. Didn't you notice they had to make a big puff of smoke first? It was a magic trick; they swapped out the staves for snakes, just like they mixed chemicals to turn water red.
>>
>>36688016

Thanks for adding them. Can anyone think of what Yzma's Equipment ought to be? I guess I also best start working on Kronk, the Incan Golem and Cava-Chimera now.
>>
>>36688614
Then that makes the priests themselves look particularly stupid. You pull a trick like that in front of a modern stage magician, who will admit that it's all just smoke and mirrors even if he won't tell anyone how he does it, and he'll ask you to repeat it several times. After studying you intently for some time, he might give up and ask you how you did it.

But back when the existence of gods was a given?

Those priests should have been pissing themselves when they were confronted by the real deal.

From my understanding, Davy Jones sort of has an agreement to not fuck with Ursula so long as Ursula doesn't fuck with him. Jack is dead but Jack the monkey is alive with a beast crew that occasionally holds pickpocketing raids.

He is definitely the least evil of the villans. Hell, if Beast were indeed a monster instead of a tragic hero he would be considered the hero of the story
>>
>>36695330
We're calling him a villain because he was the movie's antagonist from Belle's perspective, since she was the protagonist.
"Disney: Antagonists Ascendant" doesn't have quite the same ring, so he's a villain.
>>
>>36695330
>doesn't respect Belle in the slightest
>entire reasoning for marrying her - "I deserve the best!"
>committed a harmless old man to the asylum despite knowing he posed no harm
>and he did know

>when Belle refused and defended the Beast
>who he only cared about because she chose him instead
>he rallied a mob to murder the Beast
>after reaching the castle, he crept up on the Beast with a bow and arrow
>the Beast made no hostile action, instead turning away sorrowfully
>Gaston then shot him
>scuffle ensues, Gaston attempts to murder the Beast
>The Beast spares his life after winning
>Gaston stabs the Beast in the back
>slipping and falling in the process to his death

What an appealing and heroic character; he should be a role model for all children.
>>
>>36695330
Already had this discussion. Go away.
>>
>>36695671
I think that's part of the point of Gaston, the fact that in any other Disney movie, he'd be the hero.
>>
>>36695920
That's Gaston's starting point, really. He's an incredibly self-entitled man who's used to getting his way, and he can't handle the idea of someone saying "no" to him. He may look doughty, but he has an incredibly fragile ego, and when Belle breaks that ego, he starts descending further and further until he's no better than the Beast.
>>
Anyway, further credence to the "Gaston and Frollo = total bros" idea: Monsieur D'Arque, the asylum keeper, is voiced by Tony Jay, just like Frollo (and D'Arque was apparently a big inspiration for Frollo's performance).

This will inevitably lead to incredibly surreal moments where Gaston invites them both to a party and they wonder why they sound so similar. Gaston, meanwhile, doesn't notice.
>>
>>36696152
I'm now imagining a Blackadder-type scenario where Frollo is the ruler, Gaston is the Lord Flashheart type glory boy, and Lady Tremaine, as I mentioned before, is a Blackadder-like lowest-of-nobility who's desperately seeking ways to extend her life, retain the glory she had when her daughter married the prince before Frollo's takeover, and getting her hands on fae magic. She wants in on the good thing the Victorious Villains have going and they barely even notice her.
>>
>>36696416
Lady Tremaine needs a bit more work. I can see her trying to raise massive sums of money to bribe Gothel into getting her some eternal youth.
>>
Going to work on Kronk, Inca-Roboto and Cava-Chimera today. Hopefully they'll be easier than Yzma. Also, can anyone think of any Equipment that Yzma needs? My mind was blanking yesterday.
>>
>>36697076
Well, she needs a dagger, for one. A whole host of potions would make sense, mostly transformation types. She also needs one of those mobile thrones for Kronk to carry her on.
>>
>>36696650
How come no one's thought of something for Gothel yet? Lady Termaine probably won't be in the game, as while she s a good villain, she's not a villain of the conquering variety, she's really just a tyrant over one person's life.

Melee: 4
Brawl: 5
Prevent Harm: 6

Travel: 7

---Traits---
-Villain:
This unit is a Villain. It gets +2 to Prevent Harm and Endurance checks.
-Loyal Henchman:
+2 to combat rolls while Empress Yzma is present. +3 to social rolls while Empress Yzma is not present.
-Man-Mountain:
If Kronk's Robustness exceeds that of the foe by at least 5 points, this unit can ignore every other strike that foe attempts to land on him.
-Kronk Klones:
+1 Melee, Brawl or Craft for every Kronk Klone working with this unit.
-World Class Chef:
This unit may use his Crafting score for Persuasion checks if talking to the PCs over a meal he's cooked.

---Powers---
-Friend to Creatures Great and Small:
Spend a Will Point. Call a random beastly or chimeric Mook to this unit's aid.
-I don't follow:
Spend two Will Points. +10 to Endure rolls against mental, social or spiritual attacks on this unit.
-Klone Kommander:
Spend three Will Points. Two Kronk Klones with identical stats to the original unit arrive to assist.

---Equipment---
-(Great) Incan Armor +3 Prevent Harm
-(Great) Ceremonial Dagger +2 Melee
-(Great) Pink Oven Mitts +2 Craft (Food)

---Description---
Kronk is Empress Yzma's loyal assistant, top henchman, personal chef. He may also be her best and only friend, if she is capable of caring for anyone other than herself at all. Though a friend to the commoners of the Sunless Empire, a delightfully humble mountain of a man and genuinely nice to everyone he meets, Kronk has the smarts of a mountain to match and is devoted and loyal to his Empress, following her (almost) every order as he is best able.

I think I'll work on Cava-Chimera next. Please tell me if you see anything wrong with these stats.

Fuck you! Kronk is not a villan! He is just a man of simple mind and giant heart, who doesn't even realize that Yzma is bad!
>>
>>36699093

Squirrel is in fact one of the languages that Kronk speaks, along with other beast languages

>>36699100

I really didn't mean the "Villain" tag to be a judgement on Kronk's character. It's just the character-class he's in by way of his strength and his allegiance to Yzma. Really, both Yzma and Kronk are meant to be MUCH more comedic and amiable than the majority of the Villain Kings of the DVV world, and almost the entirety of the Sunless Empire is supposed to be fun and awful in a cartoonish sort of way.
>>
>>36698534
His robustness is a bit... low, actually. I'd recommend increasing it to 16.

Prevent Harm 18 and Melee 18 isn't much of a threat, I have to say.

So I was thinking about taking on Ratigan when I realized we have no skills, traits or powers to represent how a villain might not just have several grandiose diabolical schemes already in motion, but is constantly revising, expanding and generating them with every tidbit of useful information he receives. Thoughts?
>>
>>36699951
As a Villain, he needs at least +20 to Prevent Harm and +18 to Endure, and +22 on one form of attack skill. Boost him as necessary to obtain your desired power level.

As for your powers: -Friend to Creatures Great and Small:
Spend a Will Point. Call a random beastly or chimeric Mook to this unit's aid.
This is an INCREDIBLY weak power. A mook is oft dispatched in one hit.

-I don't follow:
Spend two Will Points. +10 to Endure rolls against mental, social or spiritual attacks on this unit.
Drop this to one Will Point

-Klone Kommander:
Spend three Will Points. Two Kronk Klones with identical stats to the original unit arrive to assist.
Very, very strong, since each one can then use Klone Kommander on their own. Make them lackeys or Inner Circle, and lack the powers of the original.
>>
>>36700242
That's more with the setup of his empire as a whole than his boss encounter.
>>
>>36700267

Thank you VERY much for the advice! I really appreciate it, and will try and adjust Kronk's stats accordingly. I've got more of a head for fluff than crunch it seems.

For Cava the Colossal Chimera, I'm trying to create an enemy on the gigantic size scale that is incredibly durable and hits very hard, but at the same time is also comedically unacrobatic and klutzy to compensate. And advice as to how I might pull this off?
>>
>>36700304
Yeah, but you could say the same about Rourke being overprepared and we gave him Schrodinger's toolbox. One thought I had was the he would be able to retroactively use Are You Scared? Foolish Pride and Achille's Heel on the party without them knowing, and all for one will point. In addition to the normal benefits of these powers, it would allow him to spend more will point to whip out specially prepared 'surprises'.
>>
>>36700492
Maybe something more like Yzma's switch power, where can activate contingency plans and death traps as the need arises.
>>
>>36700527
You could use a walkie-talkie or portable military radio instead of a lever. He could call in artillery, more troops, an Atlantean golem, etc.
>>
>>36700872
Conversation was about Ratigan, actually. Rourke already has a power to deal with his being prepared for everything.

I feel like this one is all over the place and may be ridiculously incorrect, but here's what I'm working with so far for Cava-Chimera, a worker in Yzma's potion factory that was hired as a full-time monster after an accident:

Cava the Colossal Chimera
Role: Villain/Strong Gal
Class: Self-Conscious Monster
Size: Gigantic
Species: Yzmic Chimera

---Attributes---
Robustness: 20/20
Agility: 6/14
Intelligence: 10/14
Sensibility: 12/14
Charm: 6/14
Will: 3/3
Strikes: 9+X2, where X is the number of party members.

---Skills---
Athletics:10
Brawl: 10
Intimidate: 5
Prevent Harm: 8
Endure: 8
Persuasion: 3
Science: 3
Occult: 3
Linguistics: 3
Travel: 8
Insight: 5

---Traits---
-Villain:
This unit is a Villain. It gets +2 to Prevent Harm and Endurance checks.
-Mix-n-Match Monster:
This unit's unnatural defenses grant +2 Prevent Harm, while her unnatural armaments bypass 2 points of the PCs' own Prevent Harm scores .
-Tenta-Cool:
Cava may use her Athletics skill instead of Acrobatics for the purposes of climbing high or traversing rough terrain.
-Low Self-Esteem:
Social Strikes count double. For every double Social Strike taken, obtain a +3 to all attack and Insight rolls against the party that inflicted them.
-Colossal Klutz:
This unit must make agility checks when it attacks. She does full damage on a score of 20-24. She does half damage on a score of 14-19. She falls over on a score of 9-13, stunning everyone for one round.

Change mix-n-match monster to +2 brawl instead of -2 Prevent Harm. Same bonus, really.
Colossal Klutz needs to be updated, we don't have the concept of a half-strike.

>prevent harm 30, brawl 30
May want to tone that down by ~2?
>>
>>36702870

---Powers---
-Constriction:
Spend a Will Point. This unit can reach out with a tentacle and attempt to constrict a PC with it, rendering them immobilized. This attack may be avoided by passing an Acrobatics check with a Target Number of 20. To break free once constricted, an Athletics or Acrobatics test with a Target Number of 30 must be passed.
- Sticks and Stones:
Spend a Will Points. +10 to Endure rolls against mental, social or spiritual attacks on this unit.
-I'M A MONSTER!!!
Spend three Will Points. If Cava is brought down to X Strikes and more social attacks have been made than physical attacks, she will throw a tantrum during which time all her attacks will hit for their full power until she is defeated. Social attacks, however, now count triple.

---Equipment---
-Peasant's Dress and Poncho +2 Endure
-Yzmacorp Employee Handbook + 3 Science and Occult
-Ride-Along Storehouse:
An awkward and gaudy portable storehouse, suitable for carrying copious amounts of supplies with accommodations for Mooks or allies. Allows riders to share Cava's Travel score.

---Description---
Cava was once a normal young woman, working in the Potion Vat Works in the bustling metropolis of Yzmopolis. However, after a comical chain reaction of workplace accidents, she was transformed into a gigantic super-chimera with the upper body of a jaguar-skinned humanoid growing from the lower body of an armor-scaled hippo, three mismatched pairs of arms and six octopus like tentacles instead of legs. Now she works as a "problem solver" for Empress Yzma, hoping to earn enough money to buy back her Humanity.

>>
>>36704377

I made a mistake in how I worded Colossal Klutz. What I had really meant it to do was reduce Cava's 30 Brawl to 15 Brawl to make it easier to avoid or absorb. That can be easily changed though to something else with a little bit of thought.

Even though I gave her physical stats that were a little ridiculous, I was trying to balance them by making her uncoordinated and vulnerable to social strikes instead. She doesn't want to be a mish-mash monster, at least not the first time the Player Characters would be meeting or fighting her.
>>
>>36705814
I'm making a lot of balance judgements. Nobody appears to be listening to them.

>>36705899
Please clarify, and update on 1d4chan.
>>
>>36705814
Most of the time people don't even upload their content to the wiki. I've put almost every King on the wiki, including adding the updates/balance changes to them.
>>
>>36704823
Understandable. I just haven't seen it mentioned at all, and I'm not sure what expansion it would fit into (the magic one?)
I think the best thing to do with it, however, would be to have Oogie Boogie have conquered all of the holiday realms, and 15 or so times a year, on the respective holidays, monsters and halloween creatures come swarming out into the DVV world to eat childrens' eyeballs.
>>
>>36705870

Agreed. Here, let's see if I can make what I was thinking a little bit more clear:

With both "Colossal Klutz" and "I'M a MONSTER," I was considering "full power" to be whatever her raw Brawl checks are rolled as, and "half-power" to be this number cut by half so as to make her attack easier for the PCs to avoid.

For "Colossal Klutz," the idea was to mitigate her high raw Brawl scores by allowing her attacks to go astray and only do half that raw score, or to miss entirely and stun everyone including her.

"I'M A MONSTER" would essentially remove that safeguard, allowing her to use her raw Brawl scores but making her more vulnerable to the social strikes where the PCs can go, "Yeah! You ARE a monster!"
>>
>>36705981

Thank you for doing this Sverd. It's greatly appreciated.

Prideful King: Social Strikes count double. For every double Social Strike taken, obtain a +3 to all attack and Intimidate rolls against the party that inflicted them.

---Powers---
Are You Scared?: Spend a will point and identify one character. You are able to discern their greatest fear. All allies get +2 to cause a social Strike against them if they play off this fear.
Foolish Pride: Spend a will point and identify one character. Discern that which they are most proud of. All allies get +2 to cause a social Strike against them if they play off this pride.
The World's Greatest Criminal Mind: If he starts the encounter with 2 less will points than normal, then Ratigan has been anticipating the PCs. He is considered to have already used his Foolish Pride and Are You Scared? powers against each member of the party.
What Was THAT?!: Whenever attacked socially by pointing out he's a rat, his resistance roll is automatically considered to be a roll of 3, but the benefits of Prideful King are doubled.
I Read About That!: Spend a Will point. Gain +3 to the next Academics, Occult, or Science roll you make. Roll twice and take the better result.

How's he look?

>>36708756
He's actually a real historical figure. His inclusion in Villains Victorious may be because of his foe Davy Crockett, whose story was famously adapted into a miniseries by Disney. Seeing a real antagonistic historical figure be treated as a Disney villain alongside all the others is interesting to me.
>>
>>36709882

I do remember that Santa Anna actually existed, but his role both in our own history and in the world of DVV is unfamiliar to me. From what I'm seeing so far, it seems that he might be some combination of Charming, Smart and Sensible. What do you think?
>>
>>36709990
Don't forget to check his entry on the King/Land/Rule page.
>>
>>36709882
Ratcliffe, too, is based (extremely, extremely loosely) on the real-life John Ratcliffe.
>>
>>36710469
It tickles my history bone that Disney potrayed Radcliffe as a superracist warmongering greedy idiot when the real Ratcliffe was literally scolded by John Smith for trading too much with the Native Americans, was fiercely anti-corruption, and died when he was betrayed by Indians at a feast where the Natives promised his starving people corn, then proceeded to tie him up, tear his face off with Mussel shells and burn his body.
>>
>>36710642

>>
>>36710642

>>

>and died when he was betrayed by Indians at a feast where the Natives promised his starving people corn, then proceeded to tie him up, tear his face off with Mussel shells and burn his body.

>>
Bumping not with content, unfortunately, but for continuity.
>>
>>36711673
I've just realized something about Santa Anna's possible motivation in Villains Victorious - he may be obsessed with dignity and running a dignified country. He probably hates Mexican stereotypes and thus will do anything to keep his people from perpetuationg them.
>>
>>36712924

By the same token he might hate "bumpkins" of all kinds, or possibly simply ignore them while trying to elevate the standard of life in the capital and major cities.
>>
>>36712924
That doesn't sound particularly villainous. At all. Unless we're implying Nationalism is evil, which I doubt many people will be alright with.
>>
>>36713138

It might not be that he's focused on a dignified country so much as a pompous one where his upper echelons live in European-modeled splendor while the farmers and such are kept tucked out of the way.
>>
>>36712924
>>36713005
>>36713264

This is pretty morally gray for a Disney Villain. He should be using all the poor people to send in ridiculous and pointless wars against Tzkel-Kan and Slim to show the might of the mexican army or something.
>>
>>36713847
Interesting point.
>>
>>36713847

Fuck that. Racial tension makes the best games. Racism is a cool big of story and plot and easily used to talk about actual fucking things in game.
>>
>>36715181
The only region that should have to be dealing with any kind of Racism is the (mostly) genocided Native Americans vs Virginia. We'll actually probably see how that's dealt with next Saturday in the second campaign game when the party's Lovable Dickish Rogue™ from Virginia who I assume is probably pretty ignorant about genocide and all that jazz meets stronk native american girl to reel him in and teach him why his parents are assholes. It could be a pretty interesting dynamic in a bunch of different ways.
>>
>>36715181
Like >>36715253 said the only kind of racism there should be is with indians, most of disney's films involve super nationalistic and homogenous nations considering their time periods. Actually I take that back the EITC could have some racism too, but most of the world is pretty damn homogenous.

Wait.
If Frozen is set in Napoleonic-era Norway, and Norway was one of the first to join in the Protestant Revolution, why is Norway listed as Catholic? Did the Protestant Revolution just not happen in this universe? Would it be weird for fucking Norway to be the only protestant nation in the world?

---Powers---
-Look at These AMAAAAZING Deals My Friend! (Unique!)
Whenever making a Persuasion combat roll, Boris can spend a Will point to not attack, but replace the attacked target's equipment with so-called "Mystical & Legendary Weapons!". So-called legendary weapons range from pool tubes to large fish and water guns, that actually cause a -1 or -2 to modifier on their Melee/Ranged/Brawl for the remainder of the scene. If attacked unit rolls below TN20, their armor get's replaced as well.
-Red Merchant of War (Unique!)[Basically a weaker Schrodinger's Toolbox]
Boris obtains any equipment suitable for the situation from his arsenal. Rourke can produce up to 10+2X (Where X Is the number of members in the party) pieces of equipment through the scene. His Arsenal is not counted in his “Equipment”.
-Red Rider
Unit is or is a servant of War itself. Unit can spend one Will point to be one point stronger than his strongest enemy OR one point faster than his fastest enemy. Caps out at 15 for Boris.
-Apocalypse (Combination Attack)
For one Will point each, the Apocalypse Crew load HE rounds into their respective weapons and fire into the air, causing an intense barrage in a 30m area. Combat roll is R5 divided by 3, where R is each Apocalypse Crew's members' Ranged Attack. Barraged units suffer from each rider's [Blank] Rider power, no matter the range or Will points. Power boosting Rider powers just get activated for free.

---Equipment---
-Red Merchant's Clothes: Clothes signifying the famed Red Merchant. Grants +2 to Prevent Harm, and +1 to Deceit and Persuasion.
-Red Cannon: Sleek red cannon seemingly more advanced than even Atlantean firearms. One-handed, grants +3 to Ranged, does not require an action to reload.
-Goods: Multiple weapons and armors. He'd appreciate it if you returned any weapons, armors, and other bloody goods to him.
>>
>>36715943
Physical Description/Background: Draped in gaudy red cloth and with a large red wagon filled with weapons, armors, and other bloody goods, this seemingly helpless, but actually incredibly deadly, merchant, is the single largest arms dealer in the Wild Wild West. Chances are, if you find a gun on someone, they'd have gotten it from him. Surprisingly kind considering his role and position. Except when you try to steal from him. Then he gets MAD.

Pirates don't fuck around. You can probably find a few aboard the Dutchman now, though.

>>36716816
She's also one of the most likely to side with the players and is honestly not that bad. If they could get her to tone down the taxes a bit...
>>
>>36716870
Yzma is a powerhungry meglomaniacial horrifying mad scientist, she is not likely to be a legitimate ally like Elsa or Rourke could be.
>>
Sorry I haven't been in the threads much, got a new job and I'm still adjusting to that schedule.
What fluff needs to be worked on?
>>
>>36716952
I dunno. You could write stuff about the Campaign party in DTP style I suppose. Not much else, no KLRs left.
>>
>>36716952
I'd like to see something between Ratcliffe and Slim, Slim and Rourke, or Davy Jones and Ursula. You know, if you've got time.
>>
>>36707802
He should have a berserk form for when he goes Feral.
>>
>>36717046
It's radclife, Ratcliffe is the real guy he's super loosely based off.
>>
>>36717046
It'll probably be tomorrow night, but I'll think of something. Slim's had some fluff, so I think I'll give Davy Jones some time in the spotlight.
>>
>>36716952
What about a DTP special with cameos from some of the other playtest/campaign characters?
>>
>>36717255
Dread does the DTPs.
>>
>>36716950
shes one of those villains who would quote

" help me to help you to help him"

obvious the plans will be comical as hell when executed and will almost certainly go wrong, just a case of how benefical will the side effects be.
>>
>>36697175
Idea: If Lady Tremaine has fallen from social grace and is out of the loop - much to her torment - she's a potential ally, if a risky one.
>>
>>36716864
It didn't happen when things went Wrong - it happened before. It's kind of in the source material sorta, and running with the multiple source materials at once is what we do.
>>
>>36716952

More DTP is always welcome. I was eating that story up. Other than that, any of the other suggestions made in this thread would be fantastic as well. I'm really trying to get my inspirational juices going again to to write something myself.

Yzma is a powerhungry, megalomaniacal horrifying mad scientist, but she's also been designed to be more comically and cartoonishly horrible rather than being more realistically terrible.

I would say that it's definitely not out of the question that she might help the PCs if she could possibly get something out of it, even if that something was as simple as getting the PCs to test out some new potion or super weapon and report back. Crazy, convoluted schemes are Yzma's stock and trade, and she might prove to be an important if unpredictable ally, with Kronk and Cava-Chimera acting as slightly more sane intermediaries.

Are there other villains we could honestly say are as small time as Tremaine? The only one I can think of is Stromboli, the guy who tried to burn Pinocchio, and I have no inspiration as to what he might be doing.
>>
>>36718086
He might be on Pleasure Island, maybe.
>>
Heading off to work now, but I thought I'd archive this thread while I had the chance:

Please remember to upvote the threads if you'd like, to keep them safe from Sup/tg/'s periodic archive purges.

I'm thinking of making a DVV related request in one of the latest drawthreads. What scenes or characters from the fluff do you think would make for a good request?
>>
I just thought of something; should Hazel be slotted into this setting/has Hazel been put into this setting?

She was established to be definitely dead, no rumor mills or anything, in the first or second thread.

>>36718306
A portrait of the DTP or the campaign party would be cool.
>>
>>36718630
I was thinking that the DTP would be a good choice. I just need to find art/descriptions for each of them before I make the request.
>>
>>36718086
Fun fact: In the original book his name was Mangiaf(u)oco (Fire-eater) and he was much more sympathetic, to the point he gifted Pinocchio five gold coins to help his father. He also had a bitching bullwhip made of snakes and fox tails entwined together.

Forget DTP, get someone to draw Stromboli swinging this bitching bullwhip around.

Amateur statter back again to work on Santa Anna. Still can't decide amongst three roles for him:

Smart
Sensible
Charming

What do you fellows think?
>>
>>36719167
sensible
>>
>>36719167
>>36719175
>Following defeat in the Mexican-American War in 1848, Santa Anna went into exile in Kingston, Jamaica. Two years later, he moved to Turbaco, Colombia. In April 1853, he was invited back by rebellious conservatives with whom he succeeded in re-taking the government. This administration was no more successful than his earlier ones. He funneled government funds to his own pockets, sold more territory to the U.S. with the Gadsden Purchase, and declared himself dictator-for-life with the title "Most Serene Highness". The Plan of Ayutla of 1854 removed Santa Anna from power.

>Despite his generous payoffs to the military for loyalty, by 1855 even conservative allies had seen enough of Santa Anna. That year a group of liberals led by Benito Juárez and Ignacio Comonfort overthrew Santa Anna, and he fled back to Cuba. As the extent of his corruption became known, he was tried in absentia for treason; all his estates were confiscated by the government.

Doesn't sound Sensible to me, he should be Charming/Smart.
>>
>>36719190
>>36719175

Charming/Smart would seem to work given his portrayal in his KLR entry as being obsessed with pomp and ceremony while still remaining a proficient military leader.

honestly stat wise she should have crazy high charming talkng beyond falicier levels here,
pretty much the only person who could charm hades if she didnt have something that could be used as blackmail

Traits or powers would be that she can get the heroes to treat her as an ally, and then crush their will/confidence with condesending motherly chatter, like a more social version of the cauldron mist.

a negative trait should be her overdependance on repunzel, so expect her to snap when she or more importantly her hair is in danger.
>>
>>36719367
though despite her capability to think so far in the long term
shes not as smart as you think she is

she would have had no problems if she explained the situation to the king like a normal person, and it would have been easier to allow her vists so she could get dates and so on, because eventually this would lead to her getting a child, meaning yet another person with healing hair.

in the end its gothels temper and immaturity thats her greatest flaw

An interesting analysis. I'm sorry now I haven't seen the movie.

One of the current Drawthread's artists does pretty good comissions for 25$, so I think I might just comission that DTP drawing for us. I just need a good collection of reference pictures of all the characters and descriptions.
>>
>>36711337
Fuck, he was captured be the Iroquis or something? Those dudes did some mean thigns to prisioners.
>>
>>36720200
All five have character art, you can get it from the DVV play test page except marys, who you'd have to archive dive for.
>>
>>36720471
Don't forget Hannah.
>>
>>36671352
Just noticed we've been forgetting the links to the last playtest and the first campaign session for the past few threads.

Was there ever concept art for Hannah? I remember her having a large portwine birthmark over half of her face. I remember Mary's picture also and can probably find it again.

Reminder that we've just hit the bump limit and the thread will start falling off the board. Once the thread hits page six or seven, one of us will need to start a new thread.
