Unfortunately, the scouting parties you have sent have not located any scrap metal. Fortunately, the scans indicate it is there. Interesting, we must improve their searching algorithms.
Work on the factory has been abysmal, we nearly lost a robot when they were moving around rocks, fortunately, it was only minorly damaged.
A basic wall of large stones has been constructed and a blacksmiths hammer was found in the dungeon.

The sun sets on the shuddering heaps of metal. Several scanning robots sit dejected outside of the excavated dungeon. This time, no scrap metal was found at all.
As for the smithing and the constructor robot, it went haywire. A bug occured somewhere in its programming. When it saw no anvil to smith iron on, and no iron to be found, it grabbed two scanning robots and dismantled the first using the second as a makeshift anvil.

>>
>>36744945
The fightan robot, designation pending, has been fully constructed.
It is bipedal and is equipped with a sword and a shield. We only have 475 units of scrap metal left. The constructor robot is enjoying his improved fabrication zone and has added a device capable of electrical projection into the sword arm, I wonder what that could be.

The sun reaches a standstill in the sky as the constructor robot slaves under the noon heat.
Unfortunately, the integration was subpar. We used up some scrap metal in the process, and the remaining scanning bot parts are damaged beyond repair or use until we can melt them down.
One mining robot has been built, but he lacks a pickaxe, we did find a shovel in the shed.

2 scan bots, one damaged, one undamaged
One constructor robot
One Hermes with long range scanning capabilities
One mining robot with a shovel
A sufficient fabrication zone
300 units of scrap metal
>>
>>36745140
Our scanning robots have taken full stock of our base, this is their assessment.
It is a pile of unpacked crates and some robots milling about in hilly valley. In the center, if you can call it a center, seeing as it is the only building, is a wall of large stones devoted towards building new robots and storing scrap iron, there is no roof.
Nearby into a large hill there is an excavation, this tunnel leads into a dungeon mostly filled with dirt that must be dug away before further exploration.

Yes, this is now canon
>>

Digging bot digs out most of the dungeon. It appears there are further tunnels and locations to be explored beyond those digbot excavated, but they seem to have collapsed long before the dirt started filling it up. Digbot says he thought he saw some rusting technological gizmos inside.

Unfortunately, Hermes was already sent down into the dungeons before certain orders arrived. We now have a complete map, and some scrap metal has been found. The technology he said he found was a crystals spiroblade and a rusting void lance.
>>
Rolled 97 (1d100)

>>36745498
Digging bot and Hernes were fairly fast, so we have time for one final order.
>melt down all scan bots for scrap
>>
>>36745498
Can we attempt diagnostic of the technology for fabrication of blueprints and assimilation for mass production?
>>
>>36745541
Even though we are without proper smelting facilities, constructor robot did a magnificent job. He has built a small kiln to melt down robots in. We retrieved the thought nodes and have returned them to the crates until they are needed for other robots.
We now have 375 units of scrap metal.
>>
>>36745573
Yes we can
Even though the robots are running low on fuel, the magic generator is doing well and the melting fire provides plenty of light around the base.
Unfortunately, the only robots we have for the task are Hermes with a subpar integration of a scanning module and constructor bot, who needs a programming upgrade.
>>
Rolled 54 (1d100)

>>36745628

>>
>>36745628
so diagnose techs and upgrade robots?
>>
>>36745645
In the darkness of the light, Hermes I and constructor bot toil over the two pieces of tech Hermes recovered from the dungeon by the light of a dying fire.
They have ascertained they are both weapons, but so far, the programming in fightan bot is only equipped to deal with the void lance. Unfortunately, the void lance lacks a power module, but would be a worthy addition to the fightan bot.
Assuming we can find the rusted power module and some crystal, we can implement the lance and produce additional crystal spiroblades
>>
>>36745628
So an upgrade is required. Step by step then. I recommend the following steps.

- Perfect the Hermes module's upgrade and scan the prototype for standard blueprints. Every followup Hermes II should be equal to the prototype from that point.

- Upgrade our constructor bot. Designate suggestion: Hephaestus I. If the prototype is stable we can scan for blueprints of that module as well.
