The world you live in is quite interesting. A world filled with magic, legends and adventure. Okay, so it might not be quite as special as some others, but it is the one you live in and you don't really care if anyone else says theirs are better. You'll just have your wielder teach them a lesson in manners if they get annoying. Oh? Why are you speaking of a wielder? Well that is because you are a weapon. Not just any kind of weapon, mind. But a sentient one.

More specifically you are...

[ ] ...a once powerful daemon brought low and sealed into a prison of steel. You will bide your time and slowly regain your power. And when the time is right you will regain your freedom.
[ ] ...a weapon that has had the good fortune to survive for a hundred years. And as does every crafted object that reaches this milestone you have become a spirit.
[ ] ...a magical experiment by a rather crazy wizard. He just wanted to see if he could do it, create you that is.

So are these quests pretty good? I've never heard of this one.

>Welcome to Daemon Weapon quest where you play as a sentient weapon
>Though you are mainly the sentient weapon the quest will mostly follow the perspective of the wielder

Except it won't, the base premise of a katana is shit. No stabbing, too clunky, shit way of making it (seriously that technique has been used and improved hundreds of before the japs used it) and then it wasn't even supposed to be used as a main fighting weapon, rather as a last resort

You a spear that has been passed down a line of great warriors for generations! Your worth is unquestionable as you are quite unorthodox in being made purely out of steel. Though it does make it wielding you slightly harder it has done wonders to your life expectancy. And smashing people with your blunt end is that much more satisfying.

The line of warriors that you belong to...

You are of a line of great warriors that live in a rather misty and rainy land. Thank the Gods that you were quite well looked after and your magnificent sheen is as good as it was a hundred years ago. Your last wielder died like a warrior, on the battlefield with you in his hands and the bodies of dozens of enemies at his feet.

Now though, you can think for yourself and are quite aware of your surroundings. It is time for your new wielder to pick up the mantle and earn glory for himself, you and his family.

What is your name?

You are Drago Cynbelson. And today is the sixteenth anniversary of your birth. It has been six years since your father died at the hands of the Roman invaders. It is now the time for you to take up the spear that your line has wielded for generations.

It has no name, though you recall someone calling it something that is related to women and blowing stuff? Or was it something to do with lightning and thunderstorms? Bah! Whatever, naming weapons is for cunts like the Romans anyway.

You take the rather impressive weapon into your hands and turn it over a few times. It is made of pure steel and has snot degraded even after it has seen so much use after so many battles. You take a stance and do a few thrusts, swing it around a few times. Imagining how the blood of those damned invaders spills all over the place.

It is heavier than the other spears you have used. Seeing as most of them have only stone heads and wooden shafts it is no surprise. You will have to get used to the weight. After you are satisfied with your examination you throw down your old spear to the ground, won't be needing it anymore after all. And strap your new weapon to your back.

You leave the hut and step into the light of a new day in your small village. It is the beginning of a new life for you. What shall you do with it?

Well you have a brand new weapon to try out. So why the hell not go the by far easiest and fastest route. Go into the wilderness and kill shit. You walk along the dirt road and through the gates. The guards eying you somewhat suspiciously, you only grunt in slight frustration at the suspicion. The stigma of you inheriting some of your mother's looks isn't one easily overlooked.

You have everything already packed. You hurry away from the village by increasing your pace. You saw the bastards already walking towards the hut with their greedy little eyes. You enter the forest line just as you start hearing the shouts of alarm of their precious treasure being stolen...

You walk through the forest quickly just in case they really did try and send someone to track you down and take the spear from you. You are the bloody first born son. It doesn't matter who your mother was, your father taught everything you know and that definitely included how to fight with a spear. Your step-mother alongside most of the family didn't think so, however. You never told your father since you didn't see the need in worrying him over such meaningless crap. But you are losing track of your purpose here. Stop wallowing in the past Drago. What matters is now and how you are going to gut those little green shits.

You saw them after setting of again from another night in the trees. You'd been traveling for three days and with nothing to show it for than back aches from sleeping in trees. Good thing you 'borrowed' some supplies as well. Though now you've been given a perfect chance to bathe the steel in blood. Disgusting black green-skin blood but beggars can't be choosers.

The three little snots are stripping the corpses of a couple of legionaries, deserters you reckon, who were stupid enough to sleep on the ground without one of them watching so that something like getting their throats cut open by goblins wouldn't happen. They seem highly distracted by their new finds and won't know what hit 'em as you are hiding behind a tree not a dozen meters away from them.

Now... How should you do this?

You stand up quickly, your heart starting to beat faster in anticipation. You lift your feet and go into a wild run, heading straight towards the green menace. You lift your spear, you feel a grin coming onto your face. The goblins hear you coming and turn to look at you in shock and fear as you begin your glorious war cry...

You hear a crack, and feel something on the sole of your right foot being crushed as it begins nearing the ground once again. It reminds you of something from your childhood. A shell? That is when you realize that you are slipping on whatever you landed on. You scoot forwards a few feet and your other foot trips over a great root.

You see the ground coming up to smash your face in and feel the taste the dirt only a few moments later.

You groan at the pain and embarrassment.

Bigger chance of crits
Quests where dying is not that big of problem benefit more from them them by allowing neat things to happen
d100 is better for more story focused quests as it mitigates chances of crits

>>36760123
But dying is a big issue in this quest.

>No witnesses left.

No one must know of this. You use the spear to quickly stand up and send a murderous glare to the seemingly laughing goblins who swallow back their laughs when they see the wrath in your eyes. You spit out the dirt in your mouth and roll your joints and check if anything else besides your pride might be injured. When you find that nothing is out of place you start chasing the already fleeing little green midgets.

The first one you reach in but a moment, the leaf-like end of the spear entering through his back and out of the front with the heart alongside it. You quickly pull it out after dragging the sagging body together as you chase the other two. The second goes down with you cutting at it's ankles and stabbing it through the neck as it falls. You listen to the gurgling in absentminded satisfaction while throwing the steel rod at the last tiny coward. It impales him and his screams of terror slowly die off as you walk up to it's corpse to retrieve it.

Though killing was fun, there wasn't any challenge involved in it at all. So you are slightly disappointed in that aspect. Oh well, guess it's time to decid what to do witht he bodies.

You don't find anything that isn't much better than what you have on you, really. They seem to have only basic leather armor issued in bulk to the legions. And most of those are rather shredded with the goblins trying to get to the shiny shit that their wearing. Which consist of a few trinkets that might catch a good price with Roman traders, pretty useless to people that don't find use in 'precious metals'.

You do find something of interest. A scroll sealed with an inscription. You don't know much about Roman inscriptions but you guess it might do something like burn the contents or explode if it's opened by someone who's eyes are not meant to see the contents.

What little you know of Roman writing does let you figure out where it was meant to be headed. Londinium, the bloody capital of Roman colony. Question is, what do you do with it.

[ ] Time for an adventure, you guess?

Meh, you put the scroll alongside your other stuff and move to get out of the forest as fast as you can. You remember there being a Great Oak nearby that was attended to by a druid. He could probably give you some job to fight off Romans, fight off monsters from holy sites or something similar that would require the talents of a warrior such as yourself.

And while you are traveling to the Oak you can probably find some more creepy crawlies to stab with your fine weapon right here. It is only the beginning of your journey, but you believe that you will go far. Just as long as you don't embarrass yourself like that anymore.

The boy is overconfident and not as skilled as he believes. You feel that this is only one of the first few tastes of combat that he has had. There is much room for growth. Growth for which he has the potential for.

A strange sensation fills your being. A connection of sorts forms between you and the boy. A bond. And with the formation of that bond you feel power flow through you. It seems that things will be getting only more interesting from now on...

You get to improve one aspect of either yourself or the wielder

Wielder:
>Strength
>Agility
>Perception (Senses)
>Reflexes
>Regeneration

Weapon:
>Density (harder to use, but does more damage and harder to damage the weapon)
>Sharpness
>Smoothness (reduces drag so the weapon doesn't get stuck inside a body while cutting, piercing it)
> Regeneration (much, much slower than the wielder's but you don't have to be repaired then)
