Your name is Melissa Madison and things are looking up. You used to be an average highschool student with a love for comic books and roundhouse kicks. Now you're the newest employee at an incredibly shiny convenience store by the name of Bloom-MART. Oh, and you have super powers, That's cool too!

Thanks to an accident at your dad's bio-research lab last week you're sporting all the powers of a scaled up stag beetle and it's really showing. Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Enhanced Durability, Enhanced Reflexes, and a nifty pair of antenna that retract at will. It's a pretty nice deal but apparently not enough to stop your life from trying to bore you to death.

It's currently 5:30am on a Friday morning and you've just been woken up by the death chirps of the crickets in your yard as they are slaughtered by the toads that live under your back porch.

As you leap from you window with the 3rd Death-Watch Beetle Division at you heels you remember the word of your grandmother.

"Deere, fetch me my hatchet, the police are here." No fuck, not that one.

"If he didn't want to be skewed, roasted, and made into chilli. He shouldn't have been on my lawn." Yeah, that's the one. Good old Nana.

You don't even bother rolling as you hit the ground, simply using the force of you decent to crush a group of toads under you bare feet.

"Beetle Divisions take the right, Spider Divisions encircle the left! Wasp Support, drive them into the entrenchments!"

The collective forces of the insect army you've been raising in you house since you were twelve pour out into the back lawn, tearing into and eviscerating the hapless amphibian menace. The few who escape the first wave are quickly dispatched by the ants embedded in the perimeter.

There are still a few Toads attempting to escape under the porch. You never actually bother attacking them there for some reason but this might be a good chance to clear their ilk out for good.

"Well, glad that's over. Good job everyone." You leave the Commander Creeps the Centipede CO in charge of the cleanup while you and you command staff retire form the field.

About an hour later you've finally managed to clean all the toad guts from between your toes and fingers. You can't afford to give the toads the moral victory of seeing you with any warts. Stepping out of the downstairs shower and into the kitchen you turn on the TV while you snag a jar of peanut butter and a spoon.

"BREAKING NEWS! Local weather-man Andrew Davis has donned a mask and while calling himself the 'Rain Maker' has taken over the Chester County District Courthouse. There have been no reports of fatalities but the suspect has threatened to kill the staff unless the Governor recognizes the existence of Global Warming. Now to discuss the issue is famed actor Jan Hayfield who played an meteorologist on TV once in the 80's. Welcome Ja-"

You turn off the TV as you tongue out the last bits of peanut butter from the inside of the jar. "Well that's...mundane."

Noticing that you're still only wearing a peanut-butter stained towel you decide to skitter upstairs and put something on before you accidentally seduce your dad or something.

"He probably prefers naked aprons anyways." No, bad brain. Stop that right now!

Throwing on a pair of jeans and a shirt you could have sworn was clean yesterday you swipe you Bloom-MART apron from your doorknob and unhook the ID that;s latched to it.

Utilizing you perfected "smash into walls" technique you navigate you way back downstairs while browsing through you phone. Apparently there's a notice about "mandatory defense operation" for all Bloom-MART custodians that you have to go to work to get more details on. There's also a little introduction letter from someone calling themselves Elsie that says shes happy to be working with you. The letter even has little spinning blue flowers in the margins. Cute.

Haphazardly banging your way to the basement door you slide your ID into you pocked and slide open the heavy steel door.

"Dad! You alive in there?" Your voice actually echos when it hits the walls. That's just how vacant this place really is I guess.

"Mumnum..Gha!" The thing that sounds like a blender trying to drown itself in molasses? Totally dad. You round one of the desks to find him snoring away underneath his work bench, covered in various glowing liquids and curled around something that looks suspiciously like a stuffed lobster. You sigh as you pick up a blanket from a shelf nearby and drape it over him.

At least he's not trying to clone mom again.

Time for looting!

Using your sleeping father as an impromptu stool you get on top of one of the workbenches and breathe in deeply. As you exhale you push your antenna out from under your skin, giving a shiver as the break the surface and are exposed to the cold basement air. Immediately you're bombarded with so much sensory information that you probably would have thrown up if you didn't have a enforced stomach as one of your new powers.

Slowly you begin sorting out the junk information. The smells of dead things, the air from outside, your dad's week old socks. Finally you hit on something downright strange wafting in you direction. It smells like a combination of one of those little white things you cough up sometimes and cinnamon. Tracking the smell back to one of the tables on the far side of the room you find two interesting sights.

The first is a beaker full of a blue liquid sitting on a turned off heating tray. You say turned off but whatever is inside the beaker is definitely bubbling even under it's own volition. The second is source of the smell you caught earlier. Filled with a softly glowing orange gel a stopped up test tube is sitting on the table in a '#1 DAD' bowl you made for your father when you were ten. You're also pretty sure this is the same stuff that you dad is covered with right now. But you could be wrong.

> "Well if Dad touched it it must be okay." [Mess with the glowing gel in the test-tube]
> "Screw you beaker, you're breaking like three laws of energy conversion. [Pick up the Beaker}

"and a one and a two~"

Hooking the top of the test tube and popping it off off with a flick you dump the tubes entire contents into the bubbling blue beaker.

Completely oblivious to both the vaguely human shrieking sound that the mixture is now making or the fact that the mixture has just turned a bright shade of glowing purple you down the contents in one go. If poor life choices had a taste. This would be it.

Slamming the beaker upside down on the table you letting out a satisfied breath. "Well, that wasn't too ba-"

You're cut off by the first wave of pain. Intense unimaginable unspeakable pain. The pain from the accident in the laboratory before didn't feel like this, no compared to this that was almost nice. Not just you stomach or your throat, but you eyes and you legs and even you hair. It feels like the marrow is being sucked out of you bones and through your feet.

All of this last for the half a second it takes you to collapse and fade into unconsciousness.

>>36808902
Sorry anon, botfly was the "ghost" option

>>36808857
Okay, I'll explain this.
You're assuming she follows the laws of cubic mass increase. ie. The reason you don't actually have 50foot tall insects/people/robots

She dosen't
>>
Bullet ant

anyone who says otherwise is a commie
>>
>>36809009
Oh I forgot.
>Writing
>>
>>36809009
I'm assuming that's a bad sign.....
>>
>>36809075
Teen pregnancy is serious problem
>>
>>36809009
So, it's like an insect grew in size, and grew in weight in a disproportionate manner?
>>
>>36809119
Im thinking more like we terrify anyone that sees us. Like eldritch horror levels scary.
>>
>>36809009
We queen bee now?

Or maybe huge disgusting brain?
>>
>>36809009

Its not even the law I'm upset about. Its just healthy weight. A 5'9" female should weigh at least 130 lbs. at least to be in healthy weight. 109 lbs. is nothing...

Also OP don't you dare put any super punishing creepy thing in for them pushing the mystery box option you doomed us the moment you made it an "option".

Also we are still missing a large amount of information for our character. I will bring it up after we finish for the evening...
>>
>>36809144
You're missing information on the MC? Have you tried following knight apprentice quest?
>>
>>36809142
Here's hoping bought queen bee.
>>36809144
Creepy is most likely bot fly.
Though.. if it isn't.. You chose MYSTERY BOX. With insect abilities. So..
>>
>>36809167
Not that type of information. I mean physical information.

It's obvious we are some kind of assassin or sleeper agent placed by the elves in that thread.

>>36809196
And no I chose the Weta option
>>
>>36809196
So what

Double beetle?
>>
>>36809213
Sleep agent that was lost/ Assassin that stopped reporting. Also probably a monster of some kind.
>>

>>
>>36809453
Random anon I presume.
>>
>>36809453
Random Guy, I asked OP earlier if he mined me compiling the known bio information for him.
>>
>>36809439
Grandma is not a villain

Why can't you have a hatchet or cook animals without being a villain
>>
>>36809453
Probably random anon. That's who was making it

You can feel her pouring into you, into every space that the mixture hollowed out before. You arms. Your Legs. Your bones and your skin. You can see your veins bulge out slightly at the the bright purple substance spreads through them, shining through you skin.

Your entire body shudders as she finally flows into you brain. Images flashing through you mind so fast you can't distinguish one from the next. Places you've never been. People you've never seen. Sensations you'd never imagine you could feel in a hundred years pass through you and are imprinted on your mind.

Slowly, bit by bit the world comes back into focus around you. The chill of the floor finally registers against your far too sensitive skin as you make an effort to push you self on your feet.

Your arms are no longer glowing, you don't feel the hollow or the filling sensation in you bones any more.
But you know she's still here. In the back of your mind slightly pushing against you if you focus hard enough.

You mother

>THREAD END

Alright guys, I'm going to have to call it a night here today cus I got to go fight an angry German over the proper meaning of horizontal command structures.

Thanks for hanging with me, and if you have any questions I'll answer them before I run out the door.
>>
>>36809577
What can we do now
>>
>>36809577
Oh boy, can never tell that to dad.
>>
>>36809577
So. are we a servant of our "mother" or how does that work?

>We drank our mom, the deity
Well alrighty then.

You have fun with your angry german man and your horizontal dealings.
>>
>>36809577
So we have a god in our head now. That's cool.

Can we access her memories/ask for advice? Is she even sentient?

Also, looks like we located mosieus, and it is us
>>
>>36809577
So what? Now we have Skitter's power in addition to our normal beetle powers? Shit I think we just got broken.
>>
Oh boy that changes a lot. So are we brain buddies or geese wow... um... adding to bio...
>>36809577

Also mind helping me fill out the unknowns on the bio we are missing quite a bit.
>>
>>36809577

>>36809627
Think of it like a giant robot.
She's the engine of destruction and you're the kid moving the limbs.

>>36809439
Nice, thanks anon. You're awesome.

>>36809728
Good job, also freckles.

>>36809762
I think I've got enough time for that. One sec.
>>
>>36809815
>freckles
ewwwwwwwwwww
>>
>>36809815
So we're an insect version of an EVA? Well shit. So question does having mom in our head give us a similar power set like Skitter's in addition to ours? Of just mutate them into something else entirely?
>>
>>36809815
Can we grow wings now?
>>
>>36809841
No freckles? Sorry

>>36809903
I don't know. try it.

>>36809886
Sorry not up on her. I'll do research later,

Thread is archived. Won't be running tomorrow but should be good to go on Thursday. Will try to start a bit earlier so I don't have anons dropping off at the end due to sleep needs. Check twitter for updates.

Gotta go, my rides here Thanks everyone.
>>
>>36810076
Bye OP thanks for the run. I should have the updated bio for you Thursday. Best of luck out there.
