You're Alciadaea, a white mage and bastard of the king. Due to a devastating plague it looks like you're the closest and most rational heir to the throne. Therefore you began to make your way to the capital, picking up some friends on the way. William, a necromancer and overall shy but nice guy; Solomon, an excitable elementalist girl dreaming of a castle made from ice somewhere in the mountains; your new pet lynx Karma and Desmond Clagan, one of the 'soon-to-be-your' lords of the kingdom, as well as his son Burton and a small escort of knights. This now respectably sized caravan started their last two days of journey to the capital this morning. It's becoming early afternoon as you cross a village which seems to be in a festive mood. It's still a bit of distance to your next inn, the 'Floating Archmage'.
Do you want to see what all the festive mood is about?

Wonder if we like having those tits. Have we had a boyfriend or anything else?

You ask Greg for a stop. He nods and slows the wagon.
>"Do you know what's going on here? Why are the people celebrating?"
you ask Jean. She shrugs.
>"Not really, no. Must be kind of a local feast or something."
You decide to see for yourself. After getting out of the wagon, Solomon and Will right behind you, you're immediately greeted by someone who seems to be a villager.
>"Travelers, huh? We don't get many visitors usually. But you all may celebrate with us. It's St. Beric's eve."
You look at him with a question in your eyes. He seems to notice immediately.
>"Allow me to explain. Saint Beric is the patron saint of this town, Widereach. He was an old man who came to this village one day and brought food to our starving people. Everytime we lacked food, he would show up and help us out, with food as well as advice. After he did this for a long, long time, our town's priest decided that he has to be some kind of saint. And every year on this day, we celebrate in his honor."
You smile and nod.
>"What a beautiful reason for a feast."
He takes a few steps towards the town center, then turns around and waves you towards him.
>"Come one, come all. We got enough food, drink and entertainment for everyone."
You decide to follow him. Solomon, Will and Jean, as well as Burton, Desmond and two knights to keep him on his feet join in. The rest stays back at the caravan, to look after the horses and such, as George says. As you enter the town center, you're immediately overwhelmed by the lots of colourful decorations everywhere. Solomon immediately runs towards one of the tables, which has what seems like tons of food on it. Desmond follows her to take a seat, taking Burton and his knights with him. Will looks at you and asks
>"Well, Alcie, what do you want to do?"
That's a good question, actually. You haven't decided yet.

Lets go and see with Burton and his Knights

Burton and his knight it is. I'll start right now.
>>
You decide to talk to Burton and possibly one or another knight, so you decide to approach their table.
Looking at the old lord and his son it seems like they are locked in a heated debate. It seems like it would be a good idea not to approach them right now. Therefore you sit down next to one of the knights. He hints a bow and says
>"I won't be more formal for your sake, Lady Alciadaea. If anyone realizes who you are you won't get a single quiet minute until we leave."

Then he grabs a large pitcher and pours himself some wine. Same for you. He also hands you a few fruits from somewhere on the table.
>"I noticed that you seemed to like fruit best. I hope these are good."

You nod and take a few bites. The fruits are sweet and juicy. Those seem to be the best fruits you've gotten for quite some while. Same goes with the wine, though both might be because of the things you're used to from traveling now.

Do you want to talk to the knight?
>If yes, specify a topic
>>
>>36984677
No talks, okay. I'll just continue regularly.
>>
>>36984854
>>36984677
Whoa, sorry.

Uh, can we ask about the season? What fruit is it? Who are his most distinguished nights at the table?
>>
>>36984863
Sure. Coming right now.
>>
>>36984908
Sorry about that, thought I posted. Been busy on-off 4chan for the last half an hour
>>
>"Do you mind telling me a bit about you and the rest of your company?"
you ask the knight.
>"Sure. Simply call me Paul, for that is my name. Unless you're one of my brothers. For the two of them I tend to be something less... friendly. But I guess that's how brothers are."
You point at the other knight at the table who is wearing a different kind of armor.
>"Who is this? And is there a reason to his armor being different than yours?"
Paul nods and takes a deep breath.
>"Might be a somewhat longer story, but you seem interested enough. Well you see... he's not originally a knight of this kingdom."
Now you're definetely interested. Paul continues talking.
>"He once was the champion of another kingdom, but was banished for some reason. When lord Desmond suceeded his father, he came and asked to be let into his service. Since then, he is one of our knights. A very good one, I might add."
What? When Desmond suceeded his father? That seems like very long ago to you.
>"So he is like... lord Desmond's age? This seems... a bit off."
The old knight seems to have overheard your talk and turns to face you.
>"Gossiping about your elders again, Paul?"
he smirks. Paul answers with yet another smirk.
>"But yes, it's true. I'm five years older actually. Whatever is keeping me on my legs, it's doing its job well."
Now you're baffled. That's an impressive age.
>"Hey Alcie! Nice to see you here."
Burton and Desmond seem to have ended their discussion and now the former seems to have noticed the new company.
>"Hey Burton! How are you doing?"

What do you want to talk about with him?
>Write in.

Uh....how he's been doing recently, what deployments he's had, if our queenly conduct is going well?
>>

Sure. Just a second.
>>
>"Hey Burton... may I ask you something?"
He nods.
>"Sure. What is it about?"
You look down a bit in embarrasment.
>"You know... I don't even know what I'm supposed to do or how to behave as a queen."
Burton shrugs.
>"Well, that's a difficult question, actually. There are a lot of formalities which you may or may not insist on. But the few things I have seen seem good so far. Also you could get a counselor for this kind of things, I guess."
You smile at him really brightly and he blushes.
>"Thank you very, very much Burton. This is actually really helpful."
Burton slightly lowers his head.
>"I...um... no problem..."
A drunk villager stumbles near your table.
>"Look at these two lovebirds, everyone. Now kiss!"
he shouts. All eyes now are focused on the two of you.

You can feel the blood rushing to your face. You must look like beets or possibly tomatoes right now. The only thing you manage to say is an
>"O-okay..."
You pucker up for what will happen now and wait. One heartbeat, two... after five, you look up, wondering why nothing seems to happen.
You see Burton, his face in a colour which must be similar to your own, shaking everywhere.
After realizing the moment has passed, he gets up shakily, mumbles something that might be an apology or something alike and storms away.

What do you want to do?
>"What was this about?" (who do you want to ask? Specify.)

Only one vote? Okay. This'll work.
>>
>"Solomon? What the heck was this about?"
Solomon rises from her chair and sits down next to you.
She seems to have trouble holding something back and when asks finally starts giggling like a little girl.
>"Alcie... heehee... he likes you... but he's really shy, like you... but worse. Isn't this cute? Come on princess, get up and go after your prince so you can have a romantic talk and kiss in some secluded place with the sun setting in the background."
You come to wonder how many times Solomon has spent her time reading fairytales and romance novels instead of studying.

>"I sure do, princess. Now run and get him. Don't bother coming back before you kissed, got it?"
You simply nod and under the applause of Solomon and the drunk guy from before, you quickly get into the direction where Burton disappeared.
It's not hard to find him. He's sitting right outside the village, next to a field of wheat and appears lost in thought.

How do you want to approach him?

You take a few steps towards him but still stay a few more away. You lightly kick some pebble to get his attention. He doesn't seem to notice or tries his best not to. So you try the more direct approach.
>"Hello Burton, do you mind if I sit here?"
After not really getting a response, you decide to simply sit down next to him.
>"-I'm sorry, I'm not experienced in love or kissing, nor am I a noble lady of politics and marriage, I am not sure what to do... Did I do wrong?"
He's simply staring into the air. Finally, he breaks the silence.
>"No... no, it wasn't your fault. It was mine. I don't know what I should have done, but I know what I did was wrong. I hope you can forgive me, milady."

You lean into his shoulder and take his hand.
>"Stop the milady, please. Alcie is completely fine. And it's okay. I don't mind."

You look into the distance. The sun is actually setting. Solomon wasn't this far away from the truth, it seems. Solomon... what would she do in this situation?
After a second of thinking you know it and supress a malicious grin. You grab Burton's full arm with your free hand. Now you wonder if he can feel your breasts.
The colour of his face is a clear 'yes'.
>"What a beautiful sunset, isn't it?"
Burton needs a while to regain composure and answer.
>"What... oh... yes. The sunset. It's really beautiful. But... Alcie?"
You raise your head. Your eyes widen from surprise as his lips meet yours. But then you give in and close your eyes. The kiss is emotional and intensive, full of desire.
After your lips part, he says

>"Alcie, I... you know... even though I only know you this short time and even though all the other circumstances and confusing things all around of us, I think there's one thing I am really certain about."
