After our MC's untimely death by plane crash, we saw him be reborn in a parallel world ruled by RPG-like laws of existence. He has a level, and is able to use spells and fantasy-like sword techniques.

Now almost 13yrs old, he is about to infiltrate a giant sky scrapper surrounded by a structure of necromantic flesh in order to help a vampire friend commit patricide, rescue a friend from becoming a guinea pig, and end the various crimes against nature happening every day in the name of unchecked magical SCIENCE!

****************************
Fair warning: This thread is a mass of insider jokes about fantasy sterotypes, rpg mechanics, anime puns, fantasy puns, and completely not recommended for those without a healthy funny bone.
Also, expect the succubus to make fun of that phrase based solely on its last word.

You have been warned

***
The first floor is mostly stairs, going up to different areas. Of course, every floor is connected to the one directly under and above, but some sets of stairs go up to ten floors above.

This world really needs elevators. No, more like, why do you build a goddamn skyscrapper without elevators!?

And this city is meant to be completely dedicated to magic, right? why doesn't it has teleporters, then!?

Well, at least our body in this world is ridiculously fit.

"Lyann, what are you doing?"
"I'm taking my boots off and putting my sandals back on."
"Why?"
"Do you really expect me to climb 50 or more floors in high heels?"
"Fair enough"

Of course, our Lyann is so pretty that the gesture seems extremely alluring. Somehow, its bothersome, the way people slow down and steal a peek just to watch her slip a foot out of a boot.

"Well, there are teleporters on floor 20th" ~says Asmund
"Why not here in the lobby?"
"To slow intruders down. The first 20 floors are full of guards."
"...joy. I assume we'll have to fight 20 floors worth of guards, then?"
"I was hoping we could just walk casual-like"
"Let's give it a try"

If you want to ask "Did it work?"
Well...

Most of the guards are acquainted withAsmund's face, and know what to do if he was seen.
Thus, as soon as we go upstairs from the 1st floor to the tenth (there is another set of stairs going to floor 20th here, as well as to the floors 9 and 11th), we are assaulted by the massively armored skeletons that the guard officers command.

They know to look out for Asmund, maybe.

Chances are if anyone asks if they saw Asmund, the only people they could remember seeing are Eldric or Lyann. Asmund would be forgotten, as those two are so memorable.

Oh we don't remember the noble, just the striking guard and guests he had.

Well, the fact is that our dexterity (and thus our initiative) its high enoughthat the 1d10+dex modifier method will gives us a 100+ advantage even if we roll a 1, so...

What I am saying is, we go first.

Well, to be exact, Lyann goes first. She quickly dances in place, raising her hands and spinning over the toes of her left foot with hypnotic grace, then turns the skeleton handlers into toads.

She would have normally tried to slow down the skeletons, but this is probably the right call, right?

Are undead in this world a valid target for metal attacks, like her dances? what about mindless creatures?

Regardless, the mages in the back fall to the floor, turned into large, dark green toads. Before she is done, however, the [Berserk] effect is added on top of the [toad] effect, and they begin targetting her, ready to hop as close and possible and try to attack her... somehow.

Our turn. Eldric takes two steps, and a "heavy" blast of light can be felt at the street level as it pours out of the windows like the beams of a lighthouse.

Yes, that bright, even early in the evening.

Amazing, many of the skeletons are still standing. Some have been exorcised, and most have been knocked lifeless to the ground.

"Those are some very resilient bone---" ~Aura pauses and holds her head with both hands~ "Why can't I think of anything to say after that!?"
"Don't worry about it" ~says Okaba with a sigh

Aura pulls aggro on the skeletons, and they swarm towards her.

Wait a minute, isnt that a compulsion effect? if Lyann's dance doesn't work, why does THAT work? someone should double check these things.

Was this world properly beta tested before release?

The skeletons move against Aura, but she manages to block and parry their blows. It is rather amazing how it almost looks as if her shield and mace had magnets in them.

Sure, the mechanics say that she would successfully stop all those attacks, but it still looks... cartoon-like, when you think about it.

The skeletons swing straight at her shield, or so it seems.

Meanwhile, the toads continue to hop against Lyann.

Well, it's rather gross, but it's not as if they can hurt her.

We are feeling rather confident about this when more skeletons begin coming into the floor from the stairs leading to the adjoining floors.

Okaba dragonforces straight upstairs while we do the same back towards the enemies coming into the room from below.

The floor is empty of bureaucrats, as they already ran away when the fighting started, but the place is swarming with those heavily armed skeletons, instead.

That's... that's just too many skeletons. Seriously, where do you even get that many skeletons. Is this guy a dread necromancer or something? did whoever gods made this world import the class?

"Yup! they're pretty!" says Miel
"Pretty!" ~says Aura

"Y-you meanies!" ~cries out Lyann as she punches the head off a skeleton.

We clean this floor with twin fireballs and linked healing spells, and rush up.

Pouring a dragonfoce into the open maw of the monster, Eldric literally blows its head off.

Its a one shot kill, but it burnt through a fair 500 mana. After casting Sword of promised victory, summoning several valkyries, druidic swarms, and using strong twin fireballs, our mana is finally taking a hit.

Well, hopefully we can recharge it with our sword in the next floor.

As it is, this climb is getting ridiculously tough, and its only been 4 floors.

The next floor has 3 bone golems. The massive things look as if the bones were spikes jutting out from their fists and shoulders.

Their bodies look more like heavy plate armor than skeletons.

As we swing down against one of the golems and knock it prone, another blasts at us with unholy power.

Our MDV is high enough that its damage gets cut it 1/2, and then our SR cuts it further down, but it still did about 300+ damage. So... it normally does about 2400 damage?! that's just stupid!

Thankfully, our Mettle ability cuts it down a nice 75% so we only take 75 damage in the end.

And 75 more...

They hit hard, but they can't hit us hard enough to deal real damage, and they certainly can't take what we can dish.

The problem is that it takes time to take them down.

"Alright" ~Asmund writes down on the notebook, and just a few moments later, the golems collapse into place.

With the generators down, every construct and undead powered by them is now offline.

[Heh, that term shouldn't exist in this world] ~thinks Eldric for a moment

"Alright, let's run up!" ~he calls, and charges upward

Indeed, the following floors up to the 20th are full of powerful, disabled undead and golems. Like this, they are nothing more than sculptures, however.

We reach the 20th floor. The teleporter circles are dead as well. Well, this means there's no way to escape other than through us, but it also means they will have time to prepare.

Have to admit, with all the monsters and things on the way, taking them out was probably the right choice.

"Alright, no time to rest, let's go up!"

After several more floors, we finally leave the bureaucratic floors and begin seeing the labs.

It is horrible beyond words. Things that look as if they had been only half way grown are floating inside some blue liquid, with many being literally welded to the tables, their flesh made part of the necromantic-covered tables in order to fixate them into place.

"This ... there is no way to justify this" ~says Okaba as he pauses for a moment to look into the tanks

As you reach a higher lab, you pass by rows and rows of cages containing beast children just like Zoe, babies that had been forced to grow in order to rause properly sized fresh organs for experimentation. They look at your group with a curious expression, too young to even understand the hell around them..

What you guess its her heart and several other organs are orderly placed in flasks around her. Not once, but about a dozen times.

Someone "harvested" her, revived her (healing the body in the process) and then harvested her again over and over in order to make that organs collection.

Dryed-up tears of blood and yellow liquid run down the corners of her open eyes, gazing at the roof as if salvation was there.

Hey, he made a few dick moves, but at least "That Man" had standards, was actually trying to help people at first, and actually felt kinda sorry about what he did to Frederick, Aria, and all of Japan. That Man would blow this dude's head off without much thought.

Aura is also one of her best friends in case she wakes up.

We leave Aura with her in the now empty floor (we burnt everything down to ashes) as we head up for the final fight.

Indeed, the man himself is up in the last floor. His blond curls, baby blue eyes, muscular physique and arrogant posture... is he a JoJo villain?

He stands dressed in a white set of wizard robes, completely spotless, holding the chains of two... things, that look like horribly twisted breeds or failed clones of Dawn. Like a certain black dog from the ghostbusters movie, complete with horns and glowing eyes in their completely out of place cute faces.

"Son, if I had known you were bringing friends with you... I wouldn't have believed it! You are such an awkward fool when it comes to people!" ~he laughs with a beautifully musical laugh
"..."
"What, no heroic speeches, no 'you monster!' before running forth? your brother was so much better when he was in your shoes. But then again, you always lacked his sense of drama" ~he says with a smooth voice and gentlemanly tone

Looking around, you see plenty of devices that you realize are currently offline due to the power having been cut.

Good thing too, those look like they would hurt.

There's an array of lenses which our expertise with the generators tells us its some form of focus. It would be able to shoot blasts of mana not unlike a dtagonforce blast, but using the power of the entire city.

Yup, this man had a giant death ray. Let's inform the cliché police.

Other than that, you can see the controls for the deathray on a small table by the side of the room.

It is a rather elegant room. It looks more like a smoking room for gentlemen than a lab. It has a shelf with hundreds of books, a fireplace, and all the civilized comforts. There is also a lever to open the roof, it seems, probably to take the death ray outside.

"Honestly, you were both sich dissapointments. Neither one could understand the good my experiments have brought to our people. The streets are clean, the borders are safe, and our citizens enjoy a quality of life so far above that of other countries that they have absolutely zero motivations for going anywhere else!" ~he says as he covers half his face with a hand, smiling

Also, make sure to mock him as a hack scientist.

All that work, crappy cut jobs and everything else he has done has proven he has no understanding to the how the world works.

He resolves to stealing the work of 3 students in the end.

He abandoned any sense of morality and in the end gained no real knowledge for it.

Eldric as a former Engineer likely has a strong distaste for the haphazard ways the guy has done things. Not to mention thw total moral disgust with him.

"Children will always whine when a grownup takes their toys off their hands, even when they are playing with fire" ~he says as he simply stands there, apparently waiting to see how your group handles his dogs

"What.. what.. how..?"
"Power, child. These lab rats calling themselves my children are nothing more than the offshot of my sperm with some wombs I raised just for growing them. They are no more my children than these dogs are, why would you get upset if I choose to harvest the results of my own experiments? What right has the creation to cry about the ways of its creator?"~he says with a mad smile that seems to reach from ear to ear

These are not undead, and they're not mindless, so Lyann tries and use "Forbidden Dance" to bathe them with a swarm of debuff effects.

One of the dog tackles Aura and bites her arm as if her shield was made of sugar! the noise as the heavy shield its crushed is nothing compared to her cry as the dog bites into her flesh!

Aura has taken 1477 points of damage!

The other rushes Asmund, but the count was ready and turns into a swarm of bats, heading straight for Femto in the back!

Okaba blasts the dog on Aura!

Twisted Clone level has raised by 10!

His Dragonforce fails to injure the mutt.

Femto simply sticks his staff in the swarm of bats as Asmund was beginning to reform. When the count becomes solid, he is impaled at the end of it, with his father holding him up with one hand.

"You never had anything to offer. Even now, I just can't think of a way to harvest any use out of you" ~says Femto as he looks at Asmund

Asmund takes 3000 damage and is dead.

A bright golden "5" glows in mid air over the spot where he died. That's right, as the undead in our party, he won't die as long as any party member is still alive.

That's a resurrection counter.

It can give us fly, extra speed, a censor (exorcism specific for demons) ability, or extra attacks per turn, but we are compelled to hunt the closest demon available, and if we fail to do so, lose access to the class powers and pay a penalty.

And yes, he made himself into a *ERROR* so using the censor ability should work, but after a a week, we'll have to pay a heavy penalty. (ie like shieldbro when he uses the wrath shield)

Eldric turns on his Angelmeister job for the first time, and chooses the ability to censor.

"Child, what did you do?!" ~Femto suddenly stops smiling and shouts at us

Cedric censors Femto.

His clothes get torn apart as if something was pulling from behind. The dungeon heart he had implanted on his back is suddenly trying to grow roots and break free at the same time.

Thick, rough tendrils can be seen growing and stretching under his skin, causing him no small amount of pain.

"HOW!?" ~he howls as he spits unknown energy at us.

It somehow bypasses our defenses and abilities, simply dealing damage.

However, we are much tougher than Asmund.

"Stop this! how can this thing... help!" ~the dungeon heart "roots" reach the floor, reaching into the floor of the chamber and spreading.

He keeps tearing the tendrils off, trying to tear them off of himself as the heart tries to grow into the spire.

The dogs obey his mental summon and try to rescue him, but the tendrils wrap around them and add them into the root maze that is beginning to take shape.

Asmund comes back just in time to see his "father" crying out as he continues ripping the roots off, but they finally grow too fast for him. He starts panicking and simply trying to tear himself apart in order to escape.

His torso rips apart from his lower body with a sickening sound of torn flesh and ligaments, and his muscular arms struggle to flee from the growing roots as they try to catch up to him.

Asmund stands in front of him, looking down.

"You always said you were the heart of this country" ~he says as he kicks him back towards the roots

"NoooOOOOo!"

The roots receive him, and envelop his upper body in a prison of organic tendrils.

<level 1 Dungeon Heart>

The floor is changing, it is turning into a dungeon.

Stop the dugeon growth. This is bad; this whole tower is made of maigic. Going out of control, it could consume the whole city, and the civilians below.

We rush down, and pick up Dawn and Aura along the way. The caged children are a bigger problem.

Asmund breaks the cage, grabs two of them under each arm, and keeps running, ignoring their moans and cries.

"This time, it really is for their own good" ~says Okaba as he imitaes the count

Everywhere around us, we can see the roots of the dungeon heart growing down the building walls, twisting the rooms as it begins shaping a dungeon.

Each carrying as many children as we possibly can, we run out of the tower while the tendrils start emerging from the walls and floors, grapping furniture, undead limbs, anything that isint firmly secured into the floor, and dragging it unto the walls.

Its as if the tower itself was eating its inhabitants.

Just as we reach the exit, the whole tower seems to turn unto itself like a single, giant tendril.

It howls with Femto's voice, crying out softly on the wind, then goes quiet.

The Black Spire is now the world's first ascending dungeon.

A message pops up

****
You cannot sense demons in any direction. The penalties for using Angelmeister will now be brought unto effect.

Well, we know that breathing. Lyann is sleeping on top of out left arm, isin't she.

The room is really dark.

Who's this on our right arm?

Was Lyann always this heavy?

Opening our sheet, we see that our physical attributes are all down by 90% or so. Still, just as we are about to panic, we see our strength go up by 1.

For example, im thinking in letting people choose if Cedric is more of the understanding type of cop, the "i solve most problems with my tazer" type, or the no nonsense by the book type.

Anyway, yes, I was thinking in writing grandpa's final adventure at some point. The idea right now is that he falls against the demon's wave in the north, in order to stop it for a while.

I'm very disappointed that we didn't get the bone snake, which was a unique high-level monster. Also that we ran out of the Spire instead of stopping the Dungeon Heart. If we had stopped it then we could have taken our time making sure that prisoners and test subjects were rescued. Not to mention now Asmund needs to build a new seat of government.

Not to mention, we could have saved those clones to understand how demon powers work.

I'd do it like they did in Hitsugi no Chaika if we go there. You have guns, but they shoot spells. Most any spell you can think of, but ya gotta aim and hit with it like any other gun. So, you'd fire a fireball at muzzle velocity, which is probably much faster than fireballs are now, incentivizing mages and armies to invest and use this new technological breakthrough without making swords and the like obsolete. For instance, with enough magic resistance or absorption, you'd be "bulletproof".

Now, one could use good ol' lead to go for physical damage in that case, but we got mithril and shit up in here and I'm betting it's a damn sight better than any kevlar we got. So for rich, swag adventurer's and paranoid VIP's you're probably still gonna have to use an instrument of stabbing, slicing, clobbering, or otherwise just getting CQC on their asses to finish the job.

fun fact: Im thinking in making the elven speak be spanish with all the consonants replaced by L Z, B and the rare T sound for accentuation

So: Good morning, sir would become Luelol Bial, Belol.

Muzzle velocity is a useless metric in this setting because what matters are the stats of the wielder, the stats of the target, and any buffs/debuffs in play.

And any enchantments used by a sword can be put on the gun, and transferred to the bullet on firing, like how enchanted bows work.
So an enchanted gun is just as effective, if not more because the wielder can shoot from tens of hexes away, as a magic sword.
The reason why magic swords and other enchanted melee weapons will continue to be used is because there are more Jobs that take advantage of Melee Weapons than those that use Ranged Weapons, and those Melee Jobs tend to have more and better special abilities.

I was thinking for future infiltration. what if we get a tree inside a large pot. And then someone who can fly / sneak / whatever takes that tree with them in an item box. they reach destination, take tree out of item box, and we step out of the tree with reinforcements.

I imagine once we go ahead and explain things to Grandpa he will feel a bit embarrassed, and also needing to level some more.

Femto was strong enough to solo Grandpa, and go to the end of the dungeon if he wanted to I think.

There would have been little he could have done without Angelmeister job class.

I think we also need to speak to Euphrosyne and Tapac about him turning into basically a demon.

I have to wonder where all his other workers escaped to. No idea how much other knowledge was out there.

What XP chart do we use anyways? If we need to do xp it might be a good idea to see where we are.
>>
>>37271040
yes, Femto was beginning to scratch on how to force errors/hacks into the system.

We are op, but using the system. He was cheating it, and became something irrecognizable by it, thus a demon by definition.

>>37271042

It was a 120-level Undead monster, meaning that it was unique both for its high level, and because there isn't another like it in the world.
As undead, it would have been very useful against the impending demon invasion.

Now we need to begin working on anti-Demon constructs and getting a Menagerie of useful monsters, without the benefit of having demons we can study.

All of Femto's research on demons is lost now that the Spire is a dungeon. All that research we could have used to prepare against the demons is gone.

This is the point where it's pointed out, "Nice job breaking it, Hero".
>>
>>37270646
>Oh I thought you'd wanted to send plants by skyship to cities we haven't been to yet, like Okaba's home, Blacklake, Bastion, Alquia, etc
I was suggesting an infiltration technique. But what you said here uses the same technique to accelerate our exploration of the world a lot for that teleport ability
... actually that gives me an idea. we can have our friends who have an item box each carry a plant attuned to us in it. That way if they ever need us they take it out of their box and we can immediately teleport to them whereever they are. the key is to communicate that SOS to us

>Yeah, it was a "political safety vs dawn safety" thing
I think some people didn't realize that and assumed she will be fine and that the longer path is not for political safety but to ensure we are successful (because being caught too early could result in our failure) Or they just didn't even consider that this could happen despite ample warnings.
>>
>>37271284

>yes, Femto was beginning to scratch on how to force errors/hacks into the system.

>We are op, but using the system. He was cheating it, and became something irrecognizable by it, thus a demon by definition.

The problem with hacking the system is that you can crash it. Sometimes you can hack the system and improve it.

>all valid concerns

I think this settles it. We go ahead and release knowledge on those generators, those small 5 mana ones out there, and pass it through Grandpa I think. Of course also give info to the university.

I expect Alquia to somehow get the info and try to ramp up for the next war sadly. I fully expect them to be quite, aggressive in the next war also. They felt they were winning at the start, suffered a minor set back's and could have held onto the gains.

In the end the ships forced them back and let peace happen at the coalitions advantage.

>Also, we use the disgaea exp chart.
I'll see if i can make any sense of it, or track it down.

On another point, I kinda want to go to Ren's and Mako's home again, just to visit a shrine and do some historical research. Looking back it almost seems that someone was purposely exterminating the empires ancient blood line.

With there special powers and consitution I expect them to somehow play a part in whats coming too.
>>
>>37271214
>All of Femto's research on demons is lost now that the Spire is a dungeon. All that research we could have used to prepare against the demons is gone.
Actually it isn't GONE-GONE, its just in the equivalent of an itembox. remember that is how grampa is protecting the debug artifact.
If we kill the dungeon heart in the new dungeon here, then the tower will revert to its previous status and the research notes will reappear where they were, as would all the stuff in there.
That being said, I am ok with not using that guys research

>I think this settles it. We go ahead and release knowledge on those generators, those small 5 mana ones out there, and pass it through Grandpa I think. Of course also give info to the university.

Well, if those generators are out, or his notes or some people who worked for him, the information may be floating out there.

Of course Alquia is a much harder problem, removing a single person does not solve it.

And it's 60 levels high, perfect for giving our under leveled comrades a nice boost in power while we're at it. So we'll have to make an expedition of it at some point.

And while I get how you wouldn't mind the research data being lost or unused, well, think about it. If we use the notes, at least all that pain and suffering may not have been for nothing/in vain. It could have served a good cause. Of course, it wouldn't be at all "worth it" from a "moral" standpoint, but what's done is done. I think that's the best thing we can do to "salvage" all that horror and pain, use notes to be better prepared against demonic incursion.

You mean that the people he had steal our notes might redistribute them now that he is dead? I seriously doubt that they kept it, he probably got the info right away.
>>
>>37271628
How are we going to use those notes though without doing unethical things?
Those were notes on how to breed monsters with humans and then harvest their organs to enhance other monsters

>>37271811

>>
>>37271811

With the chart I can go ahead and update things.

Do you have an XP total for everyone since Eldric hit 62? You can either add it up, or just decide on a number to hand out then. I know we did a lot more since we were hitting deeper dungeons in our off time too.

And also our dad and mom were hitting them to keep up.

>>37271850

The people he had steal our notes. Any assistants he had working with him.

He was right that he had a well run, modern city. However the recklessness he had doing so was insane.
>>
>>37271886
>The people he had steal our notes.
would have delivered the notes to him, not kept a copy

>Any assistants he had working with him.
This is an extremely guarded secret kept in the family itself. We can ask asmund if his father had any assistants but I doubt it.
>>
>>37271884
Know your enemy. He found out how to hack the system by doing that, that will give us clues as to the basic nature and abilities of the enemy. That in turn will lead to effective strategies or insight into how they think and what strategies they may employ.

Plus, I think among Mengele's BS notes were some things of worth, like the average time it took for people to bleed out from a sucking chest wound and other sick, yet ultimately useful, information.
>>
>>37271886
>Do you have an XP total for everyone since Eldric hit 62?
No, I do have how much exp they have gained SINCE, tho. I can give you that, and hopefully you can then distribute it among the different characters. Could you do that?
>>
>>37273605

Sure, I'll see if i can manage that

Atruma, is she a noble, nomad or villager, or just a dragon still?

I can see her as a noble due to dragon, but villager based on personality.

As far as Meil's go, they are all nobles anyways.

That would help. I know the slave gets 20% boost with Eldirc, and eldric gets 50% extra due to scion.
>>
>>37271884
>How are we going to use those notes though without doing unethical things?
The notes would have also noted strengths and weaknesses of demons, what powers and abilities demons get, and other information related to the [ERROR] phenomenon associated with demons.

So there's quite a bit we could have used those notes for, without doing breeding experiments.

Also, we lost OUR notes on Dungeon Hearts and Mana Generators, since those were stolen and destroyed when the Spire turned into a dungeon.
>>
>>37271333
>remember that is how grampa is protecting the debug artifact
That's not how I remember it being described.
The artifact is in a room below the Dungeon Heart, and the only way to get to the room is to get past the Heart.

Dungeon reversions after a Dungeon Heart is killed only revert the dungeon to the original structure, not whatever was inside of it at the time. So if we kill the Dungeon Heart now, the Spire will simply revert to an empty building.

using this post as text file so it gets saved
1536630
1502280

1657380
1810605
1833195
1851012
So all monsters up to level 50 have given us...
15156231exp

Im going to keep adding, im just posting this so you know im here still

Also im not really sure on atroma. Miel its noble. Miel II its noble as well... we havent inscribed Atroma as anything, but I guess for convenience sake we SHOULD sign her up as slave so she has something to look forth to? ie scion. We can change it if she wants

I would say for Atroma, sign her up as slave, cause of personality, then sign her up as noble too.

She will live for hundreds of years past us, to thousands of years likely.
>>
>>37273863
>Also, we lost OUR notes on Dungeon Hearts and Mana Generators, since those were stolen and destroyed when the Spire turned into a dungeon.

we lost Asmund's copy, as well as the lab's. Ours are still there, assuming we and Okaba has our own copies

1862520
1868271
1867500
1859703
1844778

so monsters 51 to 55 gave 9302772
and in total we are at
24459003

uhmm... i guess the quantity of monsters 50 and less really did make a difference

Still calculating...
>>
>>37274055
I agree with making Atruma a Slave right now, and when she hits Scion, making her a Noble.
Though dipping into Villager and Nomad for their stats might be a good idea.
>>
>>37273863
>The notes would have also noted strengths and weaknesses of demons, what powers and abilities demons get, and other information related to the [ERROR] phenomenon associated with demons.
That assumes he actually dealt with demons, we have no indication of that. He became an error, but that doesn't mean he has done it through demonic associations
>>
>>37274259
He became a demon, and understood the process well enough to create two more demons as his attack dogs.
And given how he made sure to know how to fight and defeat his own creations, notes on demon weaknesses would likely exist.
>>
>>37274259
maybe i should change the flavor text on his card to: my parents said i could be anything i wanted, so i became an error

Continuing. Just realized I actually napped instead of just resting my eyes, sorry about that. Give me a second to apply eyedrops #1 and then ill continue

1937439
1911546
1877085
1833480
1884870

So monsters 56 to 60 gave 9444420 and we are at 33903423 total for regular monsters. Let me calculate bosses and the odd specially high level monsters now
>>
>>37274319
>He became a demon, and understood the process well enough to create two more demons as his attack dogs.
Something he did without any demon involvement. He did it through surgical organ replacement and you assume he even knew they were demons. He was working on creating beings that eat spells/mana for powerup and he has done so through crossbreeding and organ transplant.

>And given how he made sure to know how to fight and defeat his own creations, notes on demon weaknesses would likely exist.
Where are you getting that? they were fully under his control.
>>
>>37274452
>Where are you getting that?
From what Asmund said about his father, and that he knew exactly how to counter Asmund's attacks, as well as the ease with which he captured Dawn.
>>
>>37274441
King, did Femto have any notes on ERROR weaknesses or strengths?
>>
>>37274441

>>
>>37274486
Asmund and dawn are not demons. they were "created" via fucking
He only recently integrated the dungeon heart and dawn's organs into himself and his 2 attack dogs to create the errors in the system. And I see nothing to indicate that he has some magic knowledge to defeat demons or that he has done extensive study of demons. Considering that in his hundreds of years of research he has gotten a grand total of 3 demons (himself and the 2 dogs), and he had to use the dungeon heart he stole from us as well as dawn's organs to do so, and has done so in the past few days only.

>>37274319
Indeed. That's why I vote we get those notes ASAP. They are still easily within reach, just have to kill the new dungeon heart. We can do that, and power up Asmund and the underleveled crew as a bonus. Plus his dear old dad is, sadly, prime material for "Demon Lord" fodder. Someone has to lead that extinction event level event from the bad guy side. Someone has to be the "Demon Lord", and I bet he'd gladly take the role if it was offered to him somehow.

You need a hardcore bastard like him for it all to happen. And, given what he did to Dawn well, again, it's clear the man has zero standards. He'd sacrifice any and everything for power. A true sociopath, compassion, faith, love, all the good of the world, is alien to him. Laughs at the very concept of morality and such. A man SO bad, even other bad guys would gladly align themselves with their enemies just to see them eliminated. That's a hard sell, but this is a character where I can see it happening pretty easily.

After all, what good is a plan for world conquest, if the world may not exist when you actually pull it off?
>>
>>37274558
that all being said, its not impossible that he DID have some demonology knowledge or that we can't find anything useful in his notes
>>
>>37274558
>>37274598
To clarify, I am arguing against the assertion that he surely had such knowledge. There is no harm in going through the notes to check, but I feel the logic claiming that he MUST have had such knowledge is flimsy
>>
>>37274588
I wonder what exactly happened to him. Is he now the dungeon heart itself? is he dead for good? would destroying that dungeon heart restore him?
>>
Atroma by herself was worth 78531 exp. The Kraken was 94477 exp, the undead snake was 200679, the clones were 82138 each, Femto was 1712665 and the various bosses so far not included in the regular monster count were 549717

So 2623730 on bosses alone.
And 36527153 exp total for pretty much everything we killed or beaten in a way or another since Eldric was lvl 62

Have to distribute that between.. lets see...
Ami
Aura
Asmund
Atroma
Brass
Dawn
Eldric
Honoria
Lyann
Mai
Mako
Miel
Miel II
Okaba
Python
Ren
Stella
Zoe

18 people. I leave it at your discretion who you want to give more or less exp to, but just remember that Eldric is always present so he cant help but get a lion's share, followed by Lyann.

Also, Eldric gets a +30% exp boost, and Lyann, Atroma, Zoe and Stella get a +20% for being his slaves (at least on paper/character sheet specifically for exp gain)

Miiyau, Aardkill and Grumnir sort of became just old friends we used to adventure with. They keep adventuring on their own but lets give them all exp at a later date. This could be considered an emergency update since its so late in coming.

hey, it took the bene gesserit thousands of years to come up with the one paul atreides, you know?

Anyway let me see... I actually dont have much trouble doing the math, its the actual inputting the numbers into the spreadsheet which fucks with my eyes

36527153 total, from which Eldric can't help but receive at least 1/6 since he was in every party (obviously) and sometimes the party would be less than 6 people but we are ignoring that right now

6087858 and his exp bonus is 30% so total he got 26380718. Pretty much everyone else is touchy-feely about how much exp they got, but Eldric we can know with certainty

So, from that we have 30439295 remaining
>>
>>37274932

>>37274932
I really have no idea how to distribute it. I think really the distribution should be based on realistically who we take with us. but then again other people should be grinding as well on their own, right?

As you said, eldric is there for all of those so 1/6th to him.
Lyann is mostly there too...
I think maybe have it with 3 tiers based on how likely they are to be with us on those expeditions. which is going to be pretty obvious who we are usually with.
But then the rest should have an up adjustment for their own personal grinding done without eldric
>>
>>37274932
7,914,216 for Eldric

7914216

It broke the spreadsheet, it pushed him way way beyond 100, heh
>>
>>37274932
so we have 18 ppl remaining. How high a % of exp do you want to give to each of them?

Dont worry too much about Alard, he gets 18122171 on his own since he has his own party of trusted party members.

If we want to just give everyone an even share to do this so much faster, then its 1691071 each, and just remember to give Lyann, Stella, Atroma and Zoe a 20% extra from being Eldric's slaves so they get 10146426 total each while everyone else gets 1691071

Remember Atroma was already lvl 60 when we got her, so somewhere under 120k exp. For ease of calculation, lets say those were all warrior levels so she was 60 warrior/60 villager

>>37275040
that sounds fine

>>37275052

Miel

We need to break the system. Make them demons in all but name. We must break it all to save it all. Leverage it all, risk it all, burn all we can in the "futile" hope that it all ends well... ALL IN!!!
>>
Did the job calculations on Eldric.

He is some level unknown Noble, After all he has 7mil xp applied directly to that class. I am having trouble finding diseage xp total chart.

However, he also has:
HP: 856037
MP: 8025 +(120,000 unlock)
Divine skill : 480
Elemental Skill: 480
Ranged Skill : 523
Melee Skill : 1923
App: 884
Cha : 1734
Wis : 6068
Int: 1374
Con: 4255
Dex: 6035
Str: 4560

Physical Defense : 653
Magic Defense : 656
Armor : 456
Spell Resist : 646

So +456 melee damage on swing.

I think the system was having roll over issues and just got resolved or something.

Adjusted Eldric's Noble level, he has about noble level 248, and scion 248, which pushed his hp to over 1 million hp

Did the calc for Lyann.

Looks like she ends up as a
Level 101 Slave
Level 89 Noble
Level 98 Villager

STR: 2530
Dex: 3728
Con: 2428
Int: 1009
Wis: 3469
Cha: 1139
App: 1049
Melee : 1273
Ranged: 387
Elemental: 200
Divine: 200
HP: 346282
MP:5232

Unlocks Scion with the death of Femto likely.

had to adjust share that Zoe and Stella have, we got so much xp they are right there, will likely drop there share down a bit so they are in the 90's slave, right about to hit scion then. Pass the xp elsewhere, maybe more to Ren and some. Regardless for Zoe and Stella, they will need a class with an item box, cause they want it.

This is with the classes listed, I am not quite good enough with the stuff to create or modify it heavily
>>
>>37277882
....wait. Does that mean Lyann has the +50% bonus of Scion AND the +20% bonus from being Eldric's slave?

uhoh.
>>
>>37275521
well, you just killed the surprise factor, didn't you? also, our stats are recovering even now. Mostly its so Eldric is weak for a couple of months.

Lyann and Mako will love cuddling and pampering him for a while.

>>37275881
yes, now that im awake and fresh, let's see... Ellie and mom probably gets about 106k exp each since they go adventuring with dad and uncle Dan sometimes. If this sounds like a lot, remember this is meant to be the exp they got over 2 years, so its notthat much. Also I assume they are leveling "properly" now. Uncle Dan and dad each get 409k.

Miiyau and Grummir have become mostly domestic so they get about 32k, as they only go down for materials from time to time. Aardkill is the same.

Athena... sure, I dont see why not.

I like Aritsu a lot but I doubt Eldric has, in character, ever thought about her level.
>>
>>37281885
well, you just killed the surprise factor.....
yes yes yes I love you so much I just got the day off work so happy are you running today.
>>
>>37276242
look for disgaea 2 exp to next level.

Oh is nice to see that Lyann finally broke the slave 100 roof. Makes me laugh a little that shes 1/5 cuter than Eldric, but I guess its fine

>>37279605
IIRC it was a 30% bonus from scion, but my memory may have failed me? also I guess only the biggest bonus would apply.

>>37281899
Hi =)

Well, I'll be doing the New World thread in 2 hours, guess I'll post a note on twitter, but we can keep talking on this thread meanwhile.
>>
here you go, the exp to next level chart from disgaea 2

http://disgaea.gamexploiter.com/enext_table.html
>>
>>37281995
notice that it goes all the way down to level 9999 so it should be alright
>>
>>37281981
twitter,? whats your twitter,?
>>
>>37282021
@MagSgamE

I'm really rather new with twitter. Only got an account because of a lol promotion and then didint ever use it until people asked me for it for the thread. Only use it to announce thread starts and such, so forgive me if that's not quite the right way to give an address
>>
>>37282048
or should I say its Christian Erazo @ MagSgamE instead?

anyway going to have an early lunch, back in like 20 minutes
>>
>>37281981
From version 2.2:
>(P) Munchkin: +50% exp, and can have more than 1 job active at the same time

But only the biggest bonus would apply? aww, although that's probably for the best.
>>
>>37275003
You should. Dune is a great series. Frank Herbert was one of us, and you'll see his influence everywhere once you read his shit. Everyone and their grandma seems to reference him when they get the chance. He gave us mentats, plots within plots, and sandworms. Get to it man.

>Oh is nice to see that Lyann finally broke the slave 100 roof. Makes me laugh a little that shes 1/5 cuter than Eldric, but I guess its fine

Well yeah, she would of course be.

Not to mention the classes she has would be more appearance focused. She has less classes then eldric anyways.

Diseaga's xp to level is not too bad, and when you can clear packs of mobs easily, it is less of an issue.

ah you are right, and yes, just the bigger bonus

>>37282447
I like that his sons have come out and said "we are writing new books" unlike the tolkien family that just kept "finding dad's notes" for decades

22 minutes for the New World thread. Just so you guys know, im thinking in making it so sweet it will cause diabetes. I'm going to be honest, for the last week or so i've been waking up every single day from nightmares where im blind, so i probably have a really scary face right now. Really need some cute and d'aaww atm
>>
>>37282683
my bad, an hour 20 minutes
>>
>>37282683
Sadly, I hear that they aren't nearly as good at writing as dear old daddy was. But at least they're owning their mistakes as it were.

And have you heard of lucid dreaming? I got that down a few years ago, so I don't have nightmares anymore. Or rather, they try to happen, but then I "assume direct control" and force them to be cool. Downside is my rest doesn't feel as "restful" anymore, and it's a bit addicting to have that power and use it, but nothing good comes without cost.
>>
>>37282772
yes, i do have lucid dreams, but its still annoying. I dont know you, but what I do is, I realie im in a dream after a few moments and then take control of it, but being blind for a few moments is still scary

Also, here, a victoria's secret fashion show. I just find these so entertaining, for so many reasons.

Yes, yes, pretty girls, but also because the fashion its so stupid sometimes, and they keep trying to make them more and more over the top all the time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_-MQCsBGeM

Also, I like Adrianna Lima (the model). You can tell which one she is because the designer has been making her outfits with wings for like 4 years now :P

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I never got into fashion. What were those guys thinking? Well, a fetish is a fetish. Hopefully we'll live long enough for genetics to make monstergirls real. That'd be great, who'd need to make wings part of the outfit when the girl herself has wings? Hell, I just want to touch fluffy tails. Ah, a world filled with fluff and exotic bits, a man can dream.
>>
>>37283070
That reminds me we still havent made any fluffy tails jokes with stella or zoe. Stella is fine running around naked on the beach and letting Eldric bathe her and what not, but it would be fun if he grabs her by the tail without thinking anything about it, and she suddenly blushes really bright-like

That's where she actually cares. No touching the fluffy tail
>>
>>37283134
Doesn't matter, we must touch fluffy tails. Touch. Fluffy. Tails. We already touched elf ears, our very nature demands we indulge the urge to touch monstergirl bits!
>>
>>37283134
Zoe and Stella are for the cutes,Not the lewds
>>
>>37283284
agree they are great just the way they are
>>
>>37283284
Who said touching fluffy tails had to be lewd? We stroked our momma elf's ears without much lewd connotation, why couldn't we do the same with our sisters?
>>
>>37283373
>Touching and rubbing an elf's ears
>Not lewd
Pick one
>>
>>37283429
You can touch things just because they feel nice without getting lewd. It's like petting a cat, it just feels nice to do that. You ain't getting a boner off of it, you just like doing it. How is that lewd?
>>
>>37283243
oh i havent seen that series. FIlename is right, but it doesnt give me sauce, what is it, and is it worth watching for things other than fluffy tail?

>>37283543
ugh that reminds me lastnight i went to bed and the goddamn cat was in my bed, spreading its fleas anyway, thread starting, going to type the op post now

It's from Tokyo Ravens. It's half decent, but really, I only watched it because of Kon (i.e. the fluffy tails), she's awesome.
>>
>>37283733
That is to say, that's why I picked it up. It's not a bad series, but not a masterpiece either. Still, interesting with how they worked magic in with modern military tech. First few episodes had a magitek onmyodo mech vs Eastern Dragon fight. Shit like that was entertaining.
