You are Ya'zada, lieutenant and mate of Ur'shal of the... wait, was that right? Weren't you a chieftain? No, of course not, Gro'lak is chieftain of the Stormhowlers. Maybe it was... no, you can't remember at all, everything feels so damned foggy when you try to think.

You stumble forwards, feet splashing into a puddle of thick red liquid. The air tastes coppery on your tongue, fires burn on the horizon. What were you doing here? You had a mission. You and your mate were going to finally end your cowardly enemies, then all the other clans would fall into place and the humans would tremble once your smashed down their precious wall.

You got separated, Gro'lak was supposed to lead an attack from the front, while you went around to cut off their escape. You had warriors with you, but, you can't remember... what happened to them?

You shake your head. Your limbs feel heavy, the thick taste of blood makes your head swim. You wade through a river, heading for the bone-strewn shore. You had a mission, even if your clanmates are missing, you won't disappoint your chieftain.

You pull yourself up onto dry land, the weight of the liquid pulling against your ascent. Your arms burn with the effort as you drag yourself up over the edge, setting off a clattering pile of bones which disappear beneath the red fluid with a thick slopping sound.

You look up at the swirling red sky, the sun is still high overhead, a roiling orb of malice staring down on you.

What now, Ya'zada?

>Search for your pack
>>
>>37284733
As Za'zarag told you when you were fading away, there never was a way to free his soul, you could only weaken it enough for Ur's soul to escape its realm.
>>
>>37284733
Nah, she'll just have to beat the infecting parasite in her soul.
Shouldn't be all that difficult, others have done it before.
>>
>>37284733
She's dealing with the abyssal infection from the zombie bite. Likely dreaming/hallucinating like Ur was. Ur was just smart and stubborn enough to remember the real world and nope out of there after wrecking demon face.
>>
>>37284779
This is also a different kind of visitation; there's a parasite actually attached to her soul, which I imagine makes being clear-headed difficult. Ur seemed to have been pulled into the demon's realm, but not actually infected himself.
>>
>>37284779
Wrong, what Ur went through wasn't a hallucination, we actually had our soul transported to the abyssal piece of shit's domain.
She is probably just hallucinating, or is in her own world while the parasite tries to take control, I doubt she has a direct connection to Lorsyth like we did.

Good points, she also lacks a divine blessing and is not as intelligent as Ur which makes her comparatively more vulnerable, have a direct interface to it likely won't help either.
>>
>>37284881
The parasite is likely way weaker than the monster itself though.
Also, our divine blessing had nothing to do with it, we had a blessing from Y'zagya Zoka, not Zul'orok Zhar.
I doubt being even better in bed really helped us against the fucker.
>>
>>37284935
Still orcish gods are jealous and have overflowing fertility in a dead land/ over flowing life force, means we still have more protection than going in raw. The weakness of the parasite is likely offset by the the closeness of the contact.
>>
You won't abandon your pack out here. What if the enemy found them, outnumbered them, what kind of leader would you be then?

You pick your way over the pale landscape, brittle orc bones snapping underfoot, rivers of blood winding between the skeletal islands ponderously like veins through some dying beast. You hear the roar of battle, far away and distant, but it makes your heart beat faster, Gro'lak must have already arrived. You are late.

With no way of knowing where the pack could have gone, your path is aimless, calling out the names of your warriors as you kick aside skulls and broken weapons.

It feels like hours pass before a voice answers yours, a cry of rage and pain, the bones shaking and the rivers swelling at the sound, threatening to swallow up the earth.

You make for it quickly, you recognize your packmate's voice, even so distorted. You find him quickly, lying on the bony ground, wrestling ineffectually against his attacker. It looms over him, a hulking, savage thing, orcish in shape, drenched in the blood of the rivers, hands ending in sharp claws, mouth opened impossibly wide as it tears into his arm, ripping away the flesh with pointed teeth. It's eating him alive, your packmate looks so small, so weak beneath his attacker, hardly worthy of the Stormhowler name.

You close the distance to the creature, giving a loud roar as you swing back your axe. The creature looks up from its meal, blank eyes widening as you slam the blade of the axe into its skull. The thing tumbles off of your packmate, rolling down the hill into the red river with a splash.

The ripples start to fade as its head breaches the surface, little more than a light scratch across its forehead from your blow. Its wide mouth twists into a sneer as it sinks back beneath the surface out of sight.

Growling, you turn to your packmate.

“You alright?” you grunt, checking him over. The wounds are bad, but not life-threatening. The creature has ripped great chunks of flesh from his arm and chest, but has not torn into any major arteries.

“Yeah. The rest of the pack is gone though. We got ambushed by those things, they tore the others apart,” the orc grunts, rising, grabbing at a nearby blade, shaking the skeletal hand off of it.

You turn to look across the landscape. You see more of the things, skulking in the rivers, perched on the liquid's edge grinning and leering. You barely dented them with that attack, you don't want to think about what could happen if they all decided to come at you at once. For now though, they seem content to simply watch.

“It's just us, lieutenant. What do we do?”

You frown, two warriors is not enough to cut off the enemy's escape, unless the frontal assault decimates them completely, but you can't just leave Gro'lak to fight alone.

“This makes no difference, we have a job and we'll do it,” you grunt.

Your packmate nods, and the two of you head towards the smoke and howls on the faraway horizon. You sweat, your skin feels like its burning under the sun's glare. You look up, the red orb is swallowing up more and more of the sky. A wave of utter hatred washes over you and break your stare, shuddering. Your clanmate gives you a puzzled look as he sees your expression, but you wave him off, continuing on your way, picking through the red rocks and white bones.

The din of battle comes clearer as you approach, and you spot the faraway silhouettes of orcs locked in combat though the burning haze. From this distance you can't tell who is winning, but you come closer all the same.

You crouch behind a rock to survey the battle once you come close enough to make out the combatants... The Stormhowlers are being slaughtered. The enemy orcs cleaving through your clan with their numbers, arcs of fire and lightning blazing across the heavens as the enemy unleashes sorcery on Gro'lak's warriors.

You hear a clatter of bones nearby, spinning to face the source of the noise. You see Gro'lak and a couple of his warriors, your mate clutching a vicious wound across his arm, the broken bone jutting through the skin.

You run to him, and he raises a hand to stop you as you come close.

“It's over, Ya'zada. We lost. The cowards, they used magic and trickery to confuse our warriors, then they fell on us,” your mate rumbles.

(cont)
>>
>>37285858
“You can't be serious. How could we lose to them? The Stormhowlers are the strongest clan in all the wastes.”

Gro'lak shakes his head. “Our enemy have prostrated themselves before traitorous gods, turning their backs on real strength. We were not prepared.”

Gro'lak places his hand on your shoulder, staring into your eye.

“Don't worry, Ya'zada. I still have a plan, we can still come back from this. We can kill their chieftain and scatter them and their filthy gods to the winds. For now though, we need to get out of here.”

You turn to stare out at the enemy force. A massive orc towers over the melee, standing atop a rocky precipice, a great axe slung across his shoulders. The enemy chieftain. You snarl, falling into step with Gro'lak as your warriors turn to flee. This whole thing does not sit well with you. Your clan needs to be stronger, more ruthless, more brutal. You do not wish to taste the shame of defeat again.

“Lead, Ya'zada. You have already scouted this way, you know the route better than I,” Gro'lak grunts, favoring his broken arm.

Part of you wants to tell Gro'lak to turn back, to face his death like a warrior, but he is the chieftain, and he says he has a plan. You shake your head, gesturing for the orcs to follow you as you head for the mountains in the distance.

“We have become too complacent, we let ourselves wallow in our pride. We need to find other ways to strengthen our clan, better ways,” Gro'lak rumbles, keeping pace with you easily despite his broken arm as you pick through the increasingly rocky landscape. You still spot the red orcs, skulking in the bloody rivers, picking their way through the bones, watching you, grinning.

The sun beats down upon your face, almost the entire sky now swallowed up by its malevolent light.

You look over your shoulder, the enemy is still following. You see their shadows, relentless. The massive orc leads the march, never slowing, never faltering. A strange sensation wells up in your gut, but you push it down, you have no time for weak emotion now. Your clanmates are depending on you, your chieftain is depending on you.

“We'll be in the mountains soon. They won't be able to track us there,” you explain.

Gro'lak nods, and you clamber up a rocky slope, pebbles and bone fragments clattering downhill as you struggle to keep your grip on the loose ground. You hear a roar from behind you as one of your packmates loses his footing, stumbling and falling, rolling to the bottom of the hill, his leg landing awkwardly against a large boulder.

“Shit,” the orc roars, trying to pull himself to his feet on bruised and bloody hands, but his leg gives way beneath him with a sickening crack, your clanmate collapsing under his own weight.

“Leave him, if he's too weak to walk, he's no use to us,” Gro'lak grunts, as you look back at the injured warrior.

You frown, shaking your head and turning to pick your way down the slope.

“Leave him Ya'zada, he's weak, we don't need him,” Gro'lak calls.

You ignore your mate, crouching down beside the fallen orc. Offering a shoulder for him to lean on.

“Thanks,” he grunts, slinging an arm over you as you lift him to his good foot.

The climb back up the hill is slow and painful, the orc struggling with every step, the sharp bones and rocks cut into your arms and knees as you are forced to crawl most of the way to support your injured clanmate.

You are bloody and exhausted by the time you reach the top, breathing deeply as you help your clanmate up over the edge. He slumps next to you, another mumbled thanks as you take a moment to catch your breath.

“That was a waste of time, Ya'zada. The enemy is catching up, you should have left him,” Gro'lak grunts, looking down at you.

“I won't leave a clanmate to die, we are no traitors, and there are few enough of us left alive already.”

Gro'lak snorts, turning away, starting to pick through the rocks, the other two orcs falling in behind him.

You rise to your feet shakily. Offering your shoulder again to prop up the injured orc. You watch your mate as he walks away, struggling to keep pace with him with the added burden.

Was Gro'lak always this small?

(cont)

>>37286679
You wonder how many hours it has been that you've been walking through the mountains. You haven't seen your pursuers in a long time, but you can still hear them, their voices and footsteps echoing through the mountains of bones. The orc leaning on your shoulder has become weaker and weaker, sweating and wheezing. You suspect the wound may be infected, hardly surprising with heavy, coppery air, but you have no means to treating him here.

You glance up, the sun is still high in the sky, in fact it is the sky now. It feels so close you could touch it, and the feeling of some terrible eye looking down on you, hating you, has only grown stronger, almost overpowering.

Gro'lak seems unconcerned, still picking his way through the rocks. He's barely spoken to you since you saved your clanmate. It's a struggle to keep up now that he's taken the lead. The orc you saved from the red orc stops sometimes, looking back, waiting for you to catch up.

You wonder if your mate plans to abandon you out here too, to go on without you. It feels so wrong, all of it. Where are you? Is this the howling mountains? Was that the waste?

“There, a cave, we can rest,” Gro'lak grunts, pointing to a gap in the mountainside.

You follow your clanmates down into the darkness, helping the injured one on your shoulder down the steep slope into the cave before you climb down yourself. It would be hard to climb out again quickly, but it is hard to spot, you can understand your mate's choice.

The cave is dank and cool, a welcome release from the burning sun overhead, though the coppery stench is, if anything, even more overpowering down here.

Maybe hear what they think on the chief's choices/behavior, what they saw of the enemy(ask this from the orc we saved if anyone).
Say this to the whole clan, we don't like this smell of copper.
Also, just to point out some things.

It's not impossible for Ya'zada to see something is wrong, she does have some logic in that head of hers.
And it seems like an orc's duty to take over a clan if the current chief is not doing the best job.
>>

I like your thinking, should we challenge Gro'lak to a duel ?
>>
>>37286989
Nah, not yet, no real reason, once he does something obviously stupid, traitorous, heretical, we can stand our ground, rally the clan, and maybe just in time for the "enemies" to catch up to us.
I forgot to suggest, ask the orcs why these people are our enemies. I doubt they could give a good reason.
We should also realize this isn't anywhere near where our camp is, how did we even get here? This isn't right. The sun isn't supposed to hurt this much, why does it hurts so much, why were the monsters grinning while we escaped, why are we running?

While I think Gro'lak is bad I'm not sure if the Ur-looking orc is necessarily good. I don't think we should do anything too rash. Question Gro'lak because he's acting funny. But don't trust anything in this shitty dream.
>>
>>37287426
why do you think its ur?
>>
>>37287426
This. No reason to think we're only dealing with one parasite or that they only employ a single strategy.

Am I the only one expecting the parasite to latch on to one of Ya'zada's growing offspring after we boot it from her soul?
>>
>>37287487
Big tall orc with an axe. Sounds vague enough to be Ur. especially since we have apparently forgot him.

>>37287492

Yeah, I don't feel its metagamey to think Gro'lak is bad news. But it does seem metagamey to just immediately assume some orc that looks like Ur to us, the players, is the representation of the good thing when Ya'zada herself just sees some big orc with an axe. Which he may just be.

I'm fairly sure there's only one parasite. It's already fairly tricky to do the whole "monsters are scary, but look here's Gro'lak" thing. And don't forget that the shaman put runes on Ya'zada and shit.
>>
>>37287547
There's only one parasite but we're in its realm. Who knows the extent of its powers? We know nothing about what it does in the dreams. Even Ya'zar who beat it doesn't know. Don't just assume stuff.
>>
>>37287565
Parasites don't have "realms", or at least I doubt they do.
It's just manipulating our dream/mindplane, since we were literally told it's weak but digs deep, it shouldn't have the power to transport our soul into the abyss fucker's domain.
It's just using our memories and shit to manipulate us.

You look at your clanmates. Is this all that's left of the Stormhowlers? Five orcs hiding in a cave.

You are not sure what to say to Gro'lak right now, so you turn your attention to the other three. The orc with a broken leg is sweating heavily, eyes glazed. You don't know if he'll make it to morning at this rate. Whatever diseases are hanging in the heavy air have taken root. The orc you saved from the thing in the river looks better, though you can see the sweat and pallid tone of his skin too, you suspect he's fighting something too, though he might pull through.

The final of your clanmates seems mostly healthy, save for a few cuts and bruises from the battle. All three of them sit apart, lost in their own thoughts.

You go over to the clanmate you saved from the red orc earlier, kneeling down beside him.

“How're you holding up?” you ask.

He gives a shrug. “Well enough, could have been a lot worse if you hadn't come when you did.”

You nod, stealing a glance at Gro'lak, your mate's eyes closed, maybe sleeping, you can't tell.

“I want to ask you something. The enemy, who are they?” you whisper.

Your clanmate gives you an odd look. “Ya'zada, did you hit your head?”

“Just answer the question,” you growl.

The orc opens his mouth, then pauses, a puzzled expression clouding his features.

“I... they're the enemy. Our enemy.”

“Right, but who are they? Why are we fighting them? If this is the howling mountains, we're miles from our territory.”

(cont)
>>
>>37287810
The orc frowns deeply, an expression of unease creeping across his features.

“...and... don't you think Gro'lak is acting strangely? Fleeing the enemy. Wanting to leave a clanmate to die.”

The orc shakes his head. “Gro'lak is brave, but even he must have realised we couldn't face the enemy now. As for leaving our clanmate behind, it may seem cruel, but perhaps he was just thinking about keeping the rest of us alive... I think.”

You shake your head. “That doesn't sound like the Gro'lak I knew. Think about what he was like before the battle.”

“Before the battle?”

The orc stares at you blankly, and you open your mouth to explain, realizing that you can't. What was Gro'lak like before? Was he always like this? You know he was more callous than your other mate but... wait, other mate? What other mate?

A splitting headache boils up in your skull as you shake your head.

“Maybe you should get some rest, Ya'zada. I don't know what's going on, but I know you saved my life today, and I won't forget that,” your clanmate grunts, patting you on the shoulder.

You sigh, picking yourself up, you have another clanmate to speak too first, you have questions, and the more you ask the bigger the gaps in your knowledge seem to get. Glancing once more at Gro'lak, who is still sitting, head leaning back against the cave wall, you head over to your clanmate with the broken leg.

>>
>>37287831
“I think I got a fever, maybe I should have been left behind. I could have at least seen how many of the enemy I took down with me, rather than dying to sickness in some fucking cave. Can't believe I survived the battle just for this.” he growls, eyes fixed on his broken limb.

“Don't whine, you're strong, you'll pull through,” you reply, sitting down next to the orc.

“You were in the battle, how did it go? Can you tell me anything about the enemy?”

“...about the enemy? I don't really know. They're another clan, we fought them, they killed most of us.”

“Right, but what happened in the battle. What tactics did they use, how did they win?”

The orc sits silently, eyes locked on the middle distance.

“I... don't know. It's all a blur. The first thing I remember is retreating from the battle with Gro'lak.”

“This whole place feels wrong to me. These rivers of blood, these piles of bones, that sun, the coppery stink in the air. Haven't you noticed? Is this really the wastes? Is this really the howling mountains?”

The orc shakes his head. “Maybe, I don't remember. Hasn't it always been like this? Because we killed and killed and killed, because we drowned the wastes in the blood of our enemies, like true orcs?”

You scratch your head. This is all confusing the hell out of you. You're no thinker, you're a warrior, you like things being straightforward. The simple thing to do now would be to follow your chieftain, to fight his enemies when he tells you to, to prove your strength on the battlefield, but you can't help but feel strange thoughts worming into your brain, and some part of you tells you that ignoring them would be a bad idea.

You hear a grunt from the far side of the cave. Gro'lak rising to his feet.

“Ya'zada, we need to talk.”

You rise to your feet. You ache, your knees burn where you scratched them up climbing the hill, your head throbs.

“Hold on, Gro'lak. I have something to say first.”

Gro'lak growls, but you press on regardless, walking out to the middle of the cave to face him.

“Who are we fighting, Gro'lak, and why? Why did my clanmates have to die? Why are we so far north, is this even the howling mountains?”

Gro'lak shakes his head. “Ya'zada, you're tired. It's been a long walk, and you are not that strong, perhaps when you rest you'll feel better.”

The injured orc you saved from the river thing earlier speaks up. “I don't remember either. What are we doing here?”

You press on as Gro'lak growls.

“Is this really what you're like? I look at you and I can barely even see my own mate, you look so small, you act like a coward and a traitor. The Gro'lak I knew was not like this. Who are you?”

Gro'lak surges forwards, jabbing a finger into your chest. He barely comes up to your shoulders now, his eyes bulging with fury as he glares up at you.

“You challenge me. Your own chieftain. Your own mate. You are no leader. You are not strong, and now that we face a dangerous foe you seek to supplant me? I could make you strong if you would let me. Now stop your whining and listen to me.”

“You leave your clanmates to die. You act like a coward and a weakling and yet you dare to speak of my strength? You are no mate or chieftain of mine. Who are you?” you growl, locking your eye with his.

The uninjured orc rises to his feet, gripping his spear.

“Hey, what are you doing?” he snaps.

Gro'lak's face twists into a harsh grimace, eyes bulging from the sockets, pupils reduced to pinpricks.

“You should have let me help you, Ya'zada, you should have let me in. You're smarter than I thought, but I can still take you by force,” he hisses, his skin shrivelling and stretching as you watch.

You let go of his shirt in shock as the armor hangs loose from his emaciated frame, backing off and clutching your axe. Your clanmates scramble for their weapons behind you as the thing lurches forwards.

It is a hunched, decrepit looking creature, dry skin clinging to jutting bone, arms long and twisted, gnarled claws hanging scraping the ground. The face is puckered, bulging eyes above a lamprey mouth, nose little more than a slit.

“This is my realm now. Not yours. You don't belong here,” it wheezes.

Now that's an appropriate orcish battle cry.
>>
You bring your axe down with a roar, driving it straight between the creature's bulging eyes, splitting its skull in two. Its lanky limbs twitch and as thick, dark blood oozes out of the wound.

You wrench the axe free with a squelch, as the creature's body starts to fester, breaking down and rotting into mulch in a matter of seconds.

“Thanks,” you grunt to the injured orc, helping him up, letting him lean on your shoulder. The other injured orc rises too, his enemy unconscious having received a sharp blow to the head.

“Yeah, no problem. Now let's get out of here, we've got to get back to our clan.”

You nod, helping him over to the exit to the cave. The other orc clambers up first, looking around.

“All clear.”

You nod, the two of you helping the broken-legged orc up out of the hole.

As the two step back, you start your own climb out of the cavern, happy to leave the thing behind you. You squint against the pale blue sky, a powerful figure silhouetted against the light, reaching a hand out to you.

You take it firmly, pulling yourself back out into the light.

>>
>>37291645
Your eyes open, you ache, your throat feels parched, your head hurts. You're staring up at the roof of a tent. The smell of copper has been replaced with an odd aroma of herbs.

A wrinkled face peers down at you. Ku'zag, Ur'shal's shaman.

“You're awake. Looks like the fever's broken.”

You groan in response, your mouth too dry to talk. Ku'zag hands you a bowl, and you sip the water slow as he tips it into your mouth.

“You sweated out a lot of fluids. It will be a few days before you're back on your feet. Try to relax until then,” the old shaman grunts, removing the bowl once you've emptied it of the contents.

You cough, running your tongue over dry lips.

The tentflap opens, and a powerful figure steps in, framed against the light.

“Ya'zada, how are you doing?”

You grin. The memories are slipping away from you even now, and you don't entirely understand what happened, but you know you won, you found your way home.

“Never better.”

Well, two of them anyway. The other one was too far gone.

>>37291765
She is going to need her own thread soon, the other two mates have both had one now. Not that Ya'zada's was really planned ahead of time...
>>
Man, once she and Ur start popping them out, the Abyss is going to HATE their children.
>>
>>37291765
Jesus Christ he already answered this numerous times, and its always you fucks who ask this to.
>>
>>37291775
The 19 means that he's found you some good targets, not to mention mapping out the nearby part of the jungle.
>>
>>37291796
>its always you fucks who ask this
Not that anon, but who else do you expect to ask it besides anons who follow/participate in the quest?
>>
>>37291727
Were the orcs with us also victims of gaunt bites and sharing Ya'zada's fever dream or were they just figments of Ya'zada's imagination?

What would of happened if we left the poor bastard behind when Gor'lak ordered us to?
>>
>>37291791
they'll be Zul'orok Zhar in flesh.
>>
>>37291791
their tusks will be made of iron. their cheeks will also start to itch if abyss are near by.
>>
>>37291829
They were and they weren't. Shit gets confusing and dreamscapey where abyssal things are concerned.

You did help the other gaunt bite victims though, yes. Even though they had their own fever dreams too.
>>
>>37291829
Already answered, yeah they were the other bitten ones, we saved two, one was too far gone.
>>
>>37291727
would the various orc gods/goddess have noticed us by now?
>>
>>37291829
Oh, and to answer the other part of your question. If you hadn't helped them, well, you would have had more problems when you came to fight the parasite, because the only one left would have been the one who sided with it.

>>37291861
Perhaps.
>>
>>37291828
I know, but its been asked almost after every single thread for a while now, and every time he said he will do another one as a pov or a scene soon.
>>
>>37291727
what would happen if we had chosen the lake instead ?
>>
>>37291833
Ya'zada is more Kul'zog Zor though.
And really, Ur'shal will be the hero of all the gods eventually.
>end the previous chief's wasting of the women, fuck them real good - Y'zagya Zoka
>Fuck over the Tonguerippers -Zul'orok Zhar
>general being damned great in combat and destroying enemies - Kul'zog Zor
>being smart about battles, unifying the two clans, martial discipline - Zol'gor Tor
>Surviving and conquering the wastes, rising again - Skor'oz Zik
>taming the wild beasts of the wastes, hunting - Tak'zaya Ska
I think getting Tak'zaya Ska's blessing might be the hardest for us, the others would come naturally as a consequence of becoming a great warlord I think, but we might have to go and hunt specifically to get the blessing, hunt down some stuff in the jungle while going solo, conquering a dragon or something.
>>
>>37291945
More red orcs.

Which incidentally were not Ya'zada's immune system or anything, they were nasty abyssal things and a symptom of the infection.

The parasite-Gro'lak was going to suggest becoming like the red orcs to gain the strength to fight off your enemies.
>>
Also, apparently suptg is fucking up, because it's failed to archive my thread and done something weird with it.
>>
>>37292001
Would refusing that mean we would've fought against parasite+redorcs with the fictional Ur and his orcs?
Would the parasite have gotten a power-up?
>>
>>37292051
Yes, the parasite and red orcs would have turned on you together if you'd joined up with the Stonetusks.

The parasite was weakened thanks to the symbols Ku'zag had painted on it, that's why it seemed so small to Ya'zada, and got smaller the more she fought against its influence.
>>
>>37292143
Would we have fought that fight in real life if we went after Ya'zada's clan earlier in the Quest?
>>
>>37292224
I don't understand the question.

The red orcs and the parasite didn't exist in real life, or at least they never had a chance to since you stopped them from getting a host.
>>
>>37292143
What was the parasites plan in the mountains? Just keep walking until the sun makes us go crazy?
>>
>>37292270
The fight between the Stonetusks and the Gro'lak led orcs. Where they got routed hard by the stonetusks in the dream.
>>
>>37292304
Convince you that the only way to defeat your enemies was to become like the red orcs, by eating one of your dying clanmates.

The sun wasn't actually the parasite.

It was Mul'orog Grul.

>>37292328
The real Gro'lak died six years ago.
>>
>>37292408
Mul'orog Grul was that Orcish God that became an abyssal lord, yes?
>>
>>37292408
>Mul'orog Grul
What's a Mul'orog Grul?
>>
>>37292460
>>37292465
An orcish war god that fell into the abyss and became an abyssal lord. Worshiped by the Tonguerippers.
>>
>>37292465
Read the fucking quest before you participate?
Or take some pills to help your memory at least.
>>
>>37292483
Whats your preferred ending for Ur'shal's life if this quest goes on long enough to have him possibly die of old age?

>Inb4everyone says orgy
>>
So when we fought the gaunts we lost 5 warriors and gained about half a dozen warriors from Ya'zar's tribe as well as his women and children. Were the three gaunt bite victims considered part of these five, or were these an extra three losses, two of which we prevented by helping them in dreamland?
>>
>>37292546
that would actually be the best possible ending in my opinion. Becoming Orc Genghis Khan of sorts.
>>
>>37292497
I'm going to participate without reading anything, and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>>
>>37292551
They were extra losses on top of the five who were just straight-up killed in the battle, so you lost six in all, and the other two recovered.

>>37292546
Glorious combat against overwhelming odds or orgy-related heart attack at the only ways to go.
>>
>>37292633
Combat Orgy?
>>
>>37292546
My preferred one would be having just humiliated and executed a challenger to our throne, we sit down on our stone/golden throne surrounded by our huge harem adoring us, our children and lieutenants standing to the side, and dying of old age, looking over our prosperous kingdom, having won the kingdom's battle tournament just a week ago.
>>
>>37292598
I can still ask you not to do so though, and you can't do anything to stop me.
Please don't participate in quests you haven't read the archives of, it not only makes the likelihood of stupid/irresponsible/uncharacteristic choices being voted on, and you also hasten the time it takes for a thread to reach bump limit by making people reply to you with explanations if/when you ask an obvious question.
>>
>>37292764
Nope, fuck you. I'm going to keep asking questions and making decisions and I'll encourage others to do the same.
>>
>>37292764
The fact that you're the only person out of the whole thread and the QM who has a problem with one of the readers asking a question about a name that quite honestly is a pain to remember when all the deity names are similar, means you're the one in the wrong.
Take the stick out of your ass and stop trying to dictate terms for the quest.
>>
>>37292883
Please don't do that, I would appreciate it immensely if you did not do what you just said you would, and instead were considerate to the rest of the players, and in fact were better than some.
>>
>>37292961
Thats what the pastebin is for anon. Learn to love them as a handy FAQ of "What the FUCK did I just walk into?"

pretty sure warlords holds all useful info for the quest in it.
>>
>>37292961
I am asking anons to read the quest before participating, are you saying doing so is bad?
>>
>>37292675
It would be glorious! We could use our great-axe and our sword! At the same time!
>>
>>37293008
Even with the pastebin it's a bitch to keep the names of alot of this shit straight, and it's missing information.
>>
>>37293008
>>37293044
That reminds me, how are those google docs coming along, Lordy?
>>
>>37293010
Not everyone wants to or has time to read through the backlog. Thankfully this one isn't too big yet, but it's still a good slog.
There's also the fact you got butthurt about someone asking who a deity was in the after quest Q&A.

Stop telling people what to do and let them ride too. If they like the quest, they'll gravitate toward the past logs on their own.
>>
>>37293127
no if you have not read what has already happened then do not vote till you do
>>
>>37293118
Yeah, they're coming along. I'm halfway through the bestiary, and getting there with the character listings and stat sheets.
>>
>>37293195
Please don't type on an English message board until you go back and learn how to type something that doesn't outright mutilate the language and syntax.
>>
>>37293127
I don't have a problem with them reading the quest without having read the backlog, but I do have a problem with them actually voting like that. Why I do so seems perfectly logical and obvious to me, and I will not explain right now, I assume you understand my reasoning.
>>37293195
This isn't me, by the way.

Truly, Ur'shal shall lead a great tide, of the Iron God, against the Abyss, and all those who oppose his mighty Horde.
>>
>>37293280
People are going to vote even if it rustles your jimmies. All you do by getting butthurt about it is risk causing a shitstorm and wasting more posts in the middle of the game.
>>
>>37293333
This is not the middle of the game.
I was literally just asking people not to do so.
>>
>>37293376
>This is not the middle of the game.
Lucky it wasn't. Still, even more reason not to get butthurt about it, especially when it's the postgame Q&A and people are asking questions.
>>
>>37293417
People can still ask their questions, the thread is already beyond bump limit anyway.
>>
Lordy, if you're still here:
What clans did the orcs in our dream originally belong to?
Since Ur beat the motherload bugucker in its own domain, can he just casually shrug off parasites like the one in this thread, like a sort of immunity?
Did we begin the dream when Ya'zada fell asleep yesterday?
>tfw we could've been the first thing she saw as she opened her eyes if we just fucked our harem a bit less
Is the ability to beat the parasite a yes-no attribute of the soul, or is it always a game of chance?
>>
>>37295038
>What clans did the orcs in our dream originally belong to?
The orcs with you were the other Stonetusks.

The ones pursuing you were more Ya'zada's subconscious hunting for the parasite than anything else.

The red orcs were something completely different and very bad.

>can Ur just casually shrug off parasites
No, but he would certainly find it easier than Ya'zada since he's more experienced at that sort of thing, not to mention a fair bit smarter and stronger willed than she is.

>Did we begin the dream when Ya'zada fell asleep yesterday?
Trying to assign strict timescales to a fever dream battle with an abyssal parasite is an exercise in futility.

>Is the ability to beat the parasite a yes-no attribute of the soul, or is it always a game of chance.
Unless the host is weak-willed enough that a possessing entity can just brute-force you into submission, it's going to have to be a bit more subtle. It's not a game of chance, it's a matter of not letting it fool you into surrendering to it.
>>
>>37295225
I meant what clan they were originally, just to be clear.
And by game of hance I just meant not something absolute, so like a fight, or realization, thigs that don't have a 100% or 0% probability.
>>
>>37295559
It's not usually something absolute. Though there are certainly a fair number of people out there in the world with enough willpower or magical defenses to have crushed the parasite under their mental bootheel without a second thought.
>>
>>37292546
Ascension to godhood as the deity orcish unification/empire, or something to that effect. Carve our own niche rather than taking someone else's portfolio.
