More power, literally. She has more of it and is trained to use it in greater orders or magnitude. Prince Adam sort of bumbles his way to becoming He-Man due to being chosen via no one else able in the bloodline by the Sorceress. She-Ra starts as a villain in the Evil Horde of Hordak. And she's brutally trained therein to become Force Captain Adora. She only starts to become good and betrays Hordak when she finds out that Prince Adam is her long lost twin. After beating his ass a couple of times of course.

>>
>>37304626
I'm thinking not Necron, or it is is, it's just one little cave of 'em. Eternia is a mix of high tech sprinkled amongst low tech IIRC, a good sized Necron force would cleanse the planet quickly.

Whereas a Man of Rusty Iron would have the knowledge.

Guys, what's hidden in Greyskull that Skeletor wants?
>>

>In reality he's trapped on Eternia with no way to communicate or leave.

When his homeworld and fledgling legion were at risk of being devoured by the warp, he chose to stay and defend Eternia until his final breath, thus he was sucked into the warp along with the rest of planet.

The few Greyskulls who weren't there for their worlds end were folded into various other chapters.

As to why their records were wiped... um... anyone else have an idea?
>>
>>37304632
He's extremely strong - has been seen to *throw* Castle Greyskull.

But most depictions have him use his wickedly sharp smarts instead of combat, and he's described as a great leader.

So sure he's not as strong as his overpowered sister but that's because she has the "Trained By My Worst Foe" and "Nemesis to the Hero" background traits.
>>
>>37304667
He disobeyed orders to leave, AND then his entire legion was wiped and reabsorbed.

Might have been a huge morale/propaganda issue, so scrubbed.

Of course we also don't know WHEN the scrubbing occurred. Unless we do and the fish swimming in my gut are lying to me.

>I'm gonna stick to my headcannon with "He disobeyed orders" and "He argued with Horus and maybe the Emps right before disappearing" and go with he doesn't like Horus. Maybe he felt he should have been in charge, or that Horus was doing stupid moves.

He-Man isn't exactly arrogant, he'd listen to wise advice. He'd Also probably be on at least Corax, Vulkan and Dorn level of intelligence and strategy, though he would focus more on guile mixed with close combat. He would have approved of Alpharius's tactics.

Simply disagreeing with either the Emperor or Horus doesn't seem like him. He probably would have been in the same position as either The Lion or The Khan.

I was thinking more akin to strategic levels, and Horus making a bad decision, Adam going "Wha the fuck", Horus going "Shut up and your singing is annoying", Adam going to the Emps "DAAAD HES BEING DUMB", Emps going "Shut up you little shit" and Adam going "FUck you all I'm gonna make my own Great Crusade, with Blackjack and Hookers!" The Emps and Horus went "FINE"

Or maybe the row/argument was over abandoning Eternia and the related sectors ahead of the warpstorm.

I don't know where I"m going with this.
>>
Okay, idea. Adam and Adora were made by the Emp as a sort of experiment.
They're psychically linked, sharing a psyker power pool between them rather than having their own separate ones.

Problem is, the early daemon shenanigans and maybe a couple minor gene splicing mistakes resulted in Adam unable to tap into much, leaving Adora with more power than she knows what to do with. Like Adam is draining power from the pool with a straw, and Adora has a goddamn generator and electric pump.
What should have been a minor power booster sword allows Adam to actually grab a respectable amount of power back to be a Primarch. If a somewhat lacklustre one.

If Adam were ever to actually reclaim his birthright and balance the power distrobution, the two together could achieve great things, becoming more than the sum of the parts.
Two in Harmony surpasses One in Perfection.
But whoops, daemons broke it before they could grow into their power.

There's a very important ethical reason why all the primarchs were male, and everyone knows you got your powers from a filthy xeno blood transfusion, so that's extra heretical!

The restriction on He-Man and She-Ra using their swords as swords actually worked to Filmation's benefit in the end as it made them think creatively for the fights and it also led to them rarely being in a situation where they were acting like a bully or you could mistake them for being one.

>Still. Thinking about some sort of gimping. Maybe the Zygotes take twice as long to spawn?
Maybe they're like mini-Adams in that they're substandard normally, but can supercharge for battle when required. Like a couple of their geneseed organs are deactivated normally.
Kind of like a battle fury thing, except no loss of control as its an all-over increase. Better thinking, better aim, better reflexes, better strength. Can run out sooner than they'd like.

For successor chapters to the Legion, that trait was largely "fixed" by a change of drugs administered during their change into Marines. Some Chapters out there still recieve minor boosts when in battle, in bloodlust or similar means as their Primarch's essence shows through the awkward chemical fix.

>>
>>37305451
Didn't he gain power by a ritual to an old god or something? Pretty sure he's one of Khorne's.
>>
>>37305394
I like this.

Greyskulls are still superhuman under normal conditions, but not as strong as the average Space Marine. However, under conditions of stress or concentration they can tap into wells of reserves, gaining their normally lost power - and then some.

So, He-Man aka Prince Adam is stuck on Eternia with a shattered tech base.He is currently fighting Skeletor, a damaged Necron Lord who has found some corrupted Men of Iron (Men of Rusty Iron? Men of Oxide?), and has rallied a few abhumans and mutants to his side.

Skeletor wants to take Castle Greyskull because he can use hidden equipment/power/parts there to communicate with other Necrons to restore his brethren and wipe the Tomb World clean. Conversely, Prince Adam wishes to take Snake Mountain (Skeletor's base) for the parts to contact the rest of the Imperium for reinforcements.

He-Man's Legion are the Greyskulls, named after the iconic fortress. They specialize in melee combat and tactical strategems. They have fighting companions in the felinoid [name plz], although these would usually accompany an officer.

He-Man's Sister, Adorai (name keeps changing?) is a powerful psyker, and despite some early issues is loyal to Eternia, the Greyskulls, and Adam.

Did He-Man get stuck on Eternia before, during, or after the Heresy? I think if during or after, we can assume he would have been a loyalist, but probably too far off to make a difference.
>>
>>37305479

He grabbed a big gem.

Which is by the way a pretty common way of getting massive powerups back in the 60ies Marvel books.

Crusher Creel drunk a magic potion that let him absorb all kinds of powers and the Wrecker got his crowbar magiced up to a level where he could fight Thor.
>>
>>37305446
Probably not too high tech, but I don't think they'd have a problem with Psykers.

Probably bikes and/or mounts into close combat, not drop pods. Some armor and vehicles, but not too many.
>>
>>37305516
Still, normal human powered up by outside forces to smash stuff in his way.

>Did He-Man get stuck on Eternia before, during, or after the Heresy? I think if during or after, we can assume he would have been a loyalist, but probably too far off to make a difference.

Before. He only had limited contact with the imperium before his homeworld was on the verge of being lost, so he took all the resources he had to build his legion and used it to make fortress monastery Greyskull, so the people of Eternia can have at least a small force of astartes assisting their primarch.

With the world vanished (probably by necron tech) and no way to know if He-Man was alive or not he was declared lost, and for his actions had earned his records expunged.

>>
>>37305556
Well specifically, it's not the tech each other wants, so much as crucial irreplacable parts to repair communications systems.

Beyond that, Skeletor found and is using the Men of Rusty Iron and is getting them from somewhere.

Skeletor's key to his ambition requires him to take and hold Greyskull for a significant portion of time. Maybe it's built atop of a Necron tomb and something is preventing them from awakening.

Also, a lot of Eternian high tech is leftovers from it's collapse back in the DAoT I would think.

In the original Concept Work for He-Man, Eternia was a post apocolyptic earth and He-Man was a wandering barbarian ala Conan. Castle Greyskull was a pre-cataclysm fortress full of old technology, coveted by the mutant warlord skeletor. He-Man would oppose him.

The fantasy elements and dual identity were added later when it became a Sat-AM Toy Mover.

>Doomguy
>Lost Primarch
>Not the Emperor of Mankind

And I suppose you don't think Judge Dredd was the Progenitor for all Arbitrators either.

On a thread related matter, I was totally considering doing a Great Crusade Blood Angels army to get back into the hobby, but now...now I must build the Grayskulls.

Same here.

By the power of Greyskull and The Emperor!

Tactics is they into melee.

Story is that Adam has been cut off from the rest of the Imperium on Eternia, fighting the Rusty Iron Men that follow the lead of the Necron Lord, Skeletor.

Castle Greyskull is sitting on top of a Necron tomb. Snake Mountain, Skeletor's base of operations, is a former Dark Age of Technology lab that was researching Necrons.

Eternia itself has random bits of Archaeotech, but is mostly Medieval/Low Tech.

Greyskull and Snake Mountain each have the missing parts for a communications relay that could summon outside assistance, in addition to the DAoT research lab and the Necron Tomb.

>Tactics

Bike outriders and Crusader squads riding in Land Raiders and Spartans. Highly mobile fighting force that decides their theatres of war via scrying with both psychic abilities and technology.

When it's someone like He-Man or Sigmar it's understandable but shit like Doomguy and Dredd is just fucking stupid.
>>
>>37336168
With He-Man it's also retarded. He's just some guy with a magic sword and therein lie all his fabulous secret powers.
Really, he's more like Farsight than a primarch.
>>
>>37338263
Except... y'know... his incredible strength that lets him throw mountains AND his high level of intelligence, which was something that all primarchs had.

You mean the guy who debuted a year before He-Man?

Why isn't there a chapter that is basically the Space Wolves, but with "wolf-ify EVERYTHING" being replaced with the holy aquila?
>>
>>37342410
Because the Emperor's Children turned Chaos.
>>
>looking over the thread.
Haven't seen She-Ra since the '80s. Read the recent comics. Written by Dan Abnett, yes him. I'm a fan of the WH40k books and I still can't tell if he's putting us on. Magnificent, yes?
>>
>>37343780
I don't really like the comics. She-Ra was by far my favourite of the two shows as a child and the comics seem to me like they were written by someone with a bit to much fondness for grimderp and who doesn't like She-Ra but is only using it because of contractual reasons.

>Dan Abnett
Well, that explains half of it.
>>
Any hope of getting a new bread to continue thinking things up for?

Doomguy still isn't a primarch because Doom takes place in the 22nd century, which is a long-ass time before the 31st millenium.
>>
>>37346236
He got sent back in time because the Warp. Your argument is invalid to me.
>>
>>37346334
That is a cop-out and you know it.
>>
>>37346386
Doesn't matter. Doomguy is awesome and might as well be a mythological hero at a primarch level.
>>
>>37345426
There's a lot of WH stuff if you read in-between the lines. Randor's armor. Snake-men. Warp travel on foot. My favorite is that She-ra gets a new sword for awhile. A snake-god-blessed sacrificial blade= a ophidian krysknife! So the daughter falls to evil, invades Eternia and ends up with a version of the sword that stabbed Horus. Yes there's grimdark, but I have to wonder if the writer is playing jokes on the world he's writing for.
