You determine that the Chiss woman's air of mystery has made her hard for anyone to read, and the only readily available information would either be in a file of some kind which you have no means of accessing, or with her personal items. You decide it is time for your first act of espionage as a Sith. You make your way toward's the women's dormitories for Master Xalia's apprentices. After determining that there was nobody in sight or within the dorm itself you make your way inside soundlessly. Now you have the unfortunate task of determining which bunk is hers. Two of the beds have no name plates, meaning their occupants were likely eliminated during the sparing matches on the first day.

RE: Our future saber crystal.
I'd rather something with personal significance. We grew up in a mine, yes? If there were vbeins of crystal, we should return there and, after twisting our former owner's head off like a bottlecap, take one of the crystals for our own. No crystals in the ground? Salvage one out of a mining laser or holoprojector in the foreman's office or something (Chewbacca's nephew did this in one of the Young Jedi Knights short-novels). If that whole thing is a bust, I'm sure we can find something else equally personal to use.
>>

>>37344114
I noticed that there are some spelling mistakes I missed on Xanth's profile because I was trying to bust it out as quickly as possible. I also forgot to add in a few pieces of info, so don't take the current pastebin as word of god.
>>
>>37344195
>Presuming to speak for everyone.

>>37344215
Yeah no sneaky Sith of any kind. Never once was their an assassin or manipulator behind the scenes they're all roving idiots out in the middle of combat.
>>
>>37344215
>>37344195
The problem is that if you're a cybernetic beast you have no access to the force, as it's channeled through the metachlorians in your living tissue.

More cybernetics=less force
I've seen it implied (not in cannon) that the loss of his limbs is part of the reason Vader was never strong enough to kill Sidious, not strong enough in the force.

And while cybernetics can match or perhaps exceed force augmented bodies, the force just provides too many other benefits to throw away just because we want to be not!General Grievous.

He lost to Kenobi anyway, I think that's a rather definitive argument for real body over cybernetics as far as the force goes.

In game yeah. but it has the same neck and arm textures as the Sith who are implied to be heavily cybernetic. There are skins that are actually missing entire limbs and shit.

>>37344188
>>37344257
Sith can blend in sure. But are we that kind of sith? We channel the joy of crushing our enemies, wield two light sabers, and crush our foes mercilessly in combat. We don't seem like the sneaking type to me so far. We're smart but not scheming.

>>37344264
This is true. I was just proposing the cybernetics as an option and an example. You can be different and personalized, as all Sith are at this point, without being "oooh black lipstick and skintight leather."

Shit son, we could just go around completely shirtless. Xanths clothing will be decided by popular vote for the most part anyway.

Also don't mention midicholrians again. Even Lucas didn't mention them for the rest of the prequels.

Now, we have a choice. I am feeling kind so I will allow you to chose to either use the 100 that was rolled last thread NOW or in the future should a stealth situation arise as was indicated by the roller.

And yeah we're sneaking now. But what about someone like Malgus or Vader or any number of other combat focused Sith? Sure they can sneak and do the politics if they want, but mainly they prefer to get shit done with their own hands.

We're just an acolyte. We literally live in the shadows of Sith lords. We're gonna be skulking for a little while before we can step out into the light and take hold of our destiny.

As you search you open one of the trunks at the foot of a bed and immediately something catches your eye. It is a piece of paper written on very official looking sealed paper. The seal is what caught your eye. The gears in your head turn and the light bulb goes off. There was a Chiss man who worked at the mine with you. He had been a member of the higher echelons of Chiss society, some very important family or some nonsense. You remember he told you he tried to sell some of his families secrets and was caught in the act. Shortly thereafter he was quietly thrown to the slavers to die in the mines. You recognize the seal specifically because it is the same one that was tattooed on the old miner's back, a symbol of heraldry. Your read the letter quickly. Most of it is nonsense that means nothing to you, but at the top you find the name of the Chiss woman, who it was sent to.

Cael'la

Several times through the letter you see that she is referred to by a much more long and difficult to pronounce name, however it appears Quel'las is her less formal name. You set the note aside and also manage to find a journal. Your page through it and note that she has been taking notes on many of the other apprentices, however most of her notes have you as the subject. She has noted your savage but cunning fighting style, the fact that you posses two blades, your innate talent with the force, and your absence during training earlier. As you continue to read you begin to hear voices outside of the room.

>Nat 100
>Supreme Critical Success

You quickly stash the journal back in the trunk and close it. You consider your options so far as hiding are concerning and your eyes lead you upward. The ceiling above has several cross beams and the ceiling is high enough that you feel you could hide there without being seen. On instinct you leap with the power of the force and launch yourself up into the rafters without causing too much noise. A pair of young twi'lek women enter and collect a few things before departing as quickly as they arrived, their laughter trailing off into the distance. You have gone undetected.

>What do you do?

You jump down from the rafters once you feel that there is no longer a risk of being detected and quickly open the trunk and retrieve the journal. Several ideas come to mind as to what could be done with this particular item, many of them include framing Rodrik and earning him Cael'la's ire. You decide now you want to try and see if your suspicions about Nivah are warranted or groundless. You quickly make your way out of the dorm and back near Master Jorrak's apprentices quarters. Once again waiting until you are certain there is nobody watching and that there are no occupants in the room you enter.

You quickly find Nivah's bed and open her trunk. Inside you see three items. A journal, a framed picture, and a letter.

You pick up the journal and start paging through it, and the first thing you notice is that a large portion of the first half of the journal in entirely torn out. The first page that is not destroyed seems to be referring vaguely to the past, talk about letting go and forgetting. There are also streaks in the ink, you infer it may have been caused by tears that fell while she was writing. There are also several references to her father, but nothing concrete.

You page through the journal and begin seeing her musings on the past few days. You are mentioned frequently, and while it seems that after the sparing matches the other day she has come to fear you slightly she makes several notes saying she believes that you are proof that not all Sith are evil as you had been told. Based on what you see here she thinks very highly of you.

It's honestly not with D100's on /tg/, they have tendencies to cluster below average, especially when you consider their seed generator is based on post time and the rate at which posts are made rolling dice, its means they tend to roll low a lot.

It's not /tg/'s dice that are the problem.

Sometimes people have bad luck.

Anon, we've done statistical analysis of the dice before, several times, I know what I'm talking about, like for instance, the seed generator is influenced if you roll with a trip or the namefield occupied, and its also influenced by post content size and how active the board is. The dice are relatively predictable if you know all the variables, they are far from random.

Yeah it is pretty easily arguable, have you never looked at the archived or other quests? Also those anons are right about the dice, do some research and go look through the archives where they calculated the probabilities of /tg/ dice.

I wasn't arguing that /tg/s dice were a problem anon, just stating that their clustered results are fairly predictable in their swings, it is known and the numbers have been run. Fluster all you want about it but the dice are not random, and I'm perfectly fine with that, I have no problems with them when you use sensible systems like this quest does with d100's and d10's, which are the more reliable of /tg/s dice.
>>

Pffthahahahaha oh man you really don't know shit all about /tg/ dice do you?

Let me give you a little figure, the crit chance on Bo3D20 is 28.5%, with just approaching 70% to succeed the average DC.

Best of 3 D20 is probably one of the easiest systems out there as far as success rates go, and thats before you take into account fate points/star power and the like that Idolrun has.

No anon, they are far far easier than D100's.

>3d20
>best of first 3 rolls of a variable amount of d20

/tg/ d20's are wildly swingy, its about a 75% chance that you'll get between 1-6 and 14-20 on a individual roll, with relatively high (nearly 30% IIRC) for a crit either way with best of 3 d20, and those quests have things that negate and mitigate crit fails, so no anon, they are not far harder than this, the opposite is true.
>>
Rolled 5, 7, 2, 19, 14, 6, 13, 11, 1, 16 = 94 (10d20)

>>37346173
>>
Rolled 15, 1, 10, 9, 2, 12, 18, 13, 1, 7 = 88 (10d20)

>>37346202
I am actually seeing a lot more middling results then anything we rolled. I'll roll my own.
>>
>>37346202
anon, why don't you go and roll about 200 sets of 3d20, then you'll start getting some useful numbers, and while you're at it, take it to another thread instead of filling this one up with off-topic discussion.

-shes talking
why would she talk to you of al, people to begin with. A bald dude wirh robot eye? Not very inviting maybe she sensed u had great power in you, that you were a good asset. Maybe she deliberately honeypotted u (which is working).
-shes sht at everything and needs you

>Sexy was more populous than not sexy, so there will be some flirting going forward, however this does not mean commitment

"I've never really had a friend before... you'd be my first... and I guess after some thought I wanted to say thank you, kind of like how you thanked me earlier."

You keep your voice soft and subtle as you draw a bit closer, a small smile graces your lips.

"Sorry if this is awkward... I don't really have experience speaking to women."

Nivah brings a hand to her face and bites her lips a bit, seemingly unsure of what to say.

"N-no it's not a problem... I'm not much more experienced..."

You chuckle and it seems to calm her.

"Anyways, I was thinking as a way to thank you we could train a bit before we have to head back to Master Jorrak. I know I said we could do it after lessons, but I've done what I wanted to do during break and I figured we could spend a bit of time together... away from all the leering eyes of the academy."

Nivah seems as if her words have been caught in her throat and simply nods. She seems nervous and a bit confused, but not unhappy with your suggestion. She quickly collects her things and you both make your way out to the natural alcove that where you trained earlier that day.

You draw your blades and swing them a few times, readjusting yourself to their weight and Nivah seems to be doing the same with her own blade. You notice that her eyes seem to linger on you when she thinks you aren't paying attention.

Finally you face each other.

"Okay, so where do you think we should start?"

She asks.

>What do you say?

>We should work on your offence
>We should work on your defense
>We should work on your force manipulation
>We should work on your stance
>>
>>37347068
>We should work on your defense

First of everything.IF you don't have a good stance you can't really work on the others
>>
>>37347068
>>We should work on your stance
then

Do that thing where you get really close and adjust their form manually.
>>
>>37347068
>We should work on your stance
If your stance is wrong your movements carry less power, are slower, and less precise.

Every movement begins and ends with your stance.

Nope.

I had considered it, but after I got the idea for her character in my head I chose to go with her regardless of the gender you chose.]

She was just to interesting to let go.

Alright, when next we meet Xanth will be giving Nivah a hands on lesson on her stance. I'll be hanging around a bit longer if there are any other questions.

I would also like to say I do not condone the faggotry of those two who were arguing about dice systems, I just ignored it at the time in hopes they would go away.

>>37347331
You were a miner on a desert planet. You're actually much more tan than in the picture for that very reason, it's one of the things I forgot to add on the bio.

>>37347348
You don't know, but most of the other young miners were sold into slavery, either by their parents or by their parents owners. You just assumed that was the case with you as well because nobody told you otherwise.

So should we bother with learning how to fly to degree that would be useful in combat or not?
>>
>>37348770
Yes

Rolled 35 (1d100)

>>37348770
I say we befriend some sort of criminal with a ship and just have him pilot for us.

Our own evil Han Solo
>>
>>37349725
I was talking about using force to fly around without spaceship
But I agree that getting someone to pilot our spaceship would be good idea
>>
>>37350076
So, DBZ mode. Neat. We should indeed learn that
>>
>>37350141
He meant jumping around like Duku and Yoda while fighting, not DBZ flying.
>>
>>37350153
You can actually fly with force but it's not exactly fastest way of movement
>>
>>37350153
Well he clearly said "fly". Jumping around is not flying.
