Disney Villains Victorious is a /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

If the man who founded the Huntsmen's Club isn't statted by the end of this thread, I propose we start that thread with this picture.
>>
Repost from end of last page: I just added The Man (from this thread - http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/37120364/ ) to the to-do list on the wiki and added a paragraph about him to the King/Land/Rule page.
>>
So for some continued Boogie discussion I figure he probably renamed the holidays to his liking Halloween, Bugsmas, Easter, St Bugtrick's Day, Bugsgiving, St Bugentine's and 4th of Bug-ly and each holiday along with having some general corrupt mooks to fit them also has a villain to 'lead it' for Easter I nominate Bugs Bunny
>>
>>37386573
St. Bugentine's boss is a heartworm. St. Bugtrick's Day's boss is a Mezcal worm (because alcohol).
>>
>>37386573
Although Oogie is an egocentrical fuck, I think he'd be a little more cheesy with his renaming: Chrysalidmas, Pester, St PaTick's Day or shit like that. He wasn't really dumb, but he was goofy as fuck.
>>
>>37386540
Its goes against the entire point of the man to stat him though. He's a legendary, yet simple guy who founded the club.
>>
>>37387053
It was suggested that he just have average stats and be Sensible. Unless, of course, a completely ordinary person is unstattable in this game.

King: King Candy.
King Candy aka Turbo is took over the entire arcade a long time ago. He is incredibly egotistical and hates dissent. He has also fused with a Cybug which in addition to making him even more evil then he was before has made him able to control every other Cybug in the arcade. He sits in his palace commanding that anyone who defies him be eaten. He knows the master code to the game
programming and modify anything he wants. He is a very lazy king and has effectively left his kingdom to rot.
Land - Litwak's Arcade.
The arcade is still run by Litwak and as far as he and the players know, nothing is wrong. That said, there has been an increasing number of glitches and broken games recently and there's a reason for that. As mentioned earlier, King Candy is a rather lazy ruler and it's all his subjects can do to keep the games from devolving into nothing but random messes of pixels. Even then, the arcade is very unstable. Textures and people vanish and re-appear at random. King Candy crushes any dissent against him. Anyone who speaks out against him is eaten by the Cybugs and assimilated into his herd. Anyone who actively attempts to harm him cannot be mentioned as no one remembers anything about them anymore. Some say you can still see bits of deleted characters floating around. There is even one who appears so often as a glitch that even the players have started to notice her. She mostly appears as a mess of pixels but occasionally she'll appear as a small girl in a green hoodie and a skirt made of peanut butter cup wrappers. She has mysteriously teleported several people away right as King Candy was about to sic the Cybugs on them. The people she teleported tend to later pop up as members of a strange resistance movement led by one Fix-It Felix Jr. Recently, King Candy has been researching multiplier games and how he could use them to take over more arcades. Of course, CLU is starting to notice and is getting angry...
>>
>>37387913
Rule: 2 up, 2 down, left, right, left, right , b, a, start.
King Candy tends to not notice new people in his kingdom. As long as you honor him and don't go against him, he'll be fine with your presence. If you do... You will have a very painful end.

I've been thinking and howsabout we make the Nimble arcade villain something like pic related
>>
>>37387981
Not sure that quite fits into the Disney aesthetic or the arcade's general ascetic. Think colorful retro gaming.
>>
So... With the technology seen in Tron and Bill's magic, vidya characters can come to the "real" world, right?
Can King Candy come out of the arcade machines and break havok?
>>
>>37388045
In my KLR, I said he's working on that.
>>
>>37388032
I was thinking he'd more likely be a cybug that ate some sort of fighter plane from a dogfight game, as well as a 16-bit dragon from a fantasy/roguelike dungeon crawler
>>
>>37388445
Yeah, that sounds good. I was just pointing out that SongBird's design doesn't really fit in in Disney. The Cybugs are about as close to him as you get but he still looks way too creepy and dark.
>>
>>37388663
Okay ditch the Songbird, I have an overall plan of what parts of each thing he has

Cybug:
>Head
>Spine
>Tail (mostly the tip)

the Cybug part of Drachenbug looks nothing like a Cybug does normally beig the head,a line of armor running down the back and the tip of the tail

Plane:
>Wings (50/50)
>Forearms (engines)
>Cockpit (head armor)

As Drachenbug consumed a large prop plane with twin engines he has got huge semi-metallic wings ( I'll get to why they're semi-metallic in a minute), a pair of claws on each of his front legs with cutting blades that can rotate 360 degrees in a circle and an armor plated helmet that covers his face when in flight or in the game as a miniboss (Drachenwind)

Dragon:
>wings (50/50)
>Tail
>Body layout

After consuming the Dragon DrachenBugs body layout altered considerably his middle set of legs fused with wings of the plane he had consumed and formed a pair of draconic wings, his forelegs merged with the engines of the plane reforming the cutting blades into hands capable of turning through 270 degrees left or right, his tail and neck grew considerably longer and his last set of legs turned into steering rudders
>>
>>37388935
That sounds amazing! Someone stat it up now!
>>
>>37389222
I suggest we base his statline of Great Gwythaint from classic

Great Gwythaint
Role: Villain/Nimble Guy
Class: MOTHERFUCKIN' WYVERN, NOT DRAGON, WYVERN
Size: Gigantic
Species: Beast
---Attributes---
Robustness: 13/16
Agility: 18/14 (SANIC SPEED)
Intelligence: 5/14
Sensibility: 12/14
Charm: 3/14
Will: 3/3
Strikes: 8+X2, where X is number of party members.
---Skills---
Acrobatics: 7 + 1 counting role.
Athletics: 7
Intimidate: 7
Brawl: 6 + 2 counting Natural Weapons.
Prevent Harm: 6 + 3 from Villain trait and role.
Endure: 6 + 2 from Villain trait.
---Traits---
-Flight
Obviously it can fly. That's just the nature of the beast.
-Bull Charge
+2 to Brawl when charging into combat.
-Think You Hide from Me?
+2 to Insight when attempting to detect people in Stealth. (Alternatively, people trying to hide from you suffer a -2 to their Stealth rolls, whichever works better.)
-Natural Weapons
Talons, horns, and teeth provide a +2 to Brawl.
-Villain
This unit is a Villain. It gets +2 to Prevent Harm and Endurance.
---Powers---
-Sonic Roar (Unique!)
Spend one Will point. Deal one Social Strike to all living units in 30m area. Can only be used during suprise round or on the Great Gwythaint's first turn.
-Dive, Dive, Dive!
Unit gains a +2 to Brawl and a +2 to Initiative when charging from above.
Physical Description/Background: 25ft. long from head to tail. 20ft. tall. 30ft. wingspan. This black-scaled terror of the skies is the Horned King's most feared and loyal pet. Raised to strike fast, hard, and then run, the Great Gwythaint's initial attack is devastating, however, it's attack decreases in power after the initial roar and charge, and it's scales aren't as hard as a regular wyvern's. Don't think you can hide from it however. Many have tried to do that. None survived.
>>
>>37389265
Looking over the staline only things we would need to change are Sonic Roar and his Description, I'm thinking maybe have him with a pair of AA machine guns on either side of his head armor as a replacement for Sonic Roar, and of course his name needs to be changed
>>
>>37389265
Lets give this a shot shall we

I just wanna say that, while I like a lot of the ideas we have for Gridlock's DTP, I really think we should put off finalising the team until we've ironed out the world some more.

In particular, we have the issues of cyberspace (the nature of the MCP and CLU's power and influence in the world) and outer space (could the PCs just grab a spaceship and bugger off someplace?) that need clarifying.

hey Nob what do you think of the Nimble villain I designed for the arcade?
these are the posts for him;
>>37389472
>>37388935
>>
>>37395543
First step: How well do they Prevent Harm/Endure?
Prevent Harm: +27 (hmm....)
Endure: +20 (Fine.)

Step 2: Attacks
As a villain, it gets 3 attacks at (18+8 = +26), which is a bit worrying but should be fine for mid-high characters.
Strikes look fine.
Traits are fine, if a bit dull.
Powers are mostly fine. I'm not sure what a 'location strike' is but I missed the rules about the vehicle system, so I'll refrain from commenting on this.
+2 to Brawl and +2 on initiative rolls seems more like a trait than a power, honestly.

Overall, it seems fine. Maybe Prevent Harm is too high, and it lacks any real defining traits/powers for its role, but there's nothing horrendously out of place.
>>
>>37395775
DrachenBug is one of three Villains I have created for the Arcade, the other two are Punch Gumball, a strong guy with the mind of a child and a personality thats a mix of Majin Buu form DBZ and Trebol from One Piece (BEHEHEHE!) and Program LQ-84i a sensible guy currently posted in the Grid as an infiltrator to CLU's forces with a personality that blends Monsoon from MGR:R and Saren/Sovereign from the mass effect series, Drachenbug doesn't really have a personality, what with having an intelligence that is basically potato and all

On the subject of Cybugs, seeing as matter converters will be a thing on account of Tron, and assuming video game characters retain their in game abilities irl... this could make for a pretty interesting late-game/doomsday scenario if not dealt with earlier, in the same way that not dealing with Atlantis early in classic could lead to some bad shit.

Maybe the result of some villain fucking around with the tech, like Xanatos

You know... I just noticed after taking a look over the wiki that there are no actual definitions on what crafting actually does/how it works which seems to me like something we ought to sort out since it's the only skill that seems to really have no defined capabilities whereas the others all have clear roles they can be used in.
>>
>>37403799
Make something. PCs need to have the tools with them. The materials can be taken from their inventory or from the environment. Uses Intelligence + Rolls to determine if it's successful and the quality of the finished product.
Speed and materials are up to the GM to define. Crafting a bomb or an improvised alarm clock would take a lot less time than... I dunno, a stove or an improvised steam engine.
>>
>>37399141
it was? Just cause Tim Burton was tangentially involved doesn't make it disney. But I wouldn't know. From what I know, it was Focus Pictures, which is part of Universal/NBC.

As much as i like 9, i vote against it being included. Mostly because we have evil robot factory (DOR-15's land) and apocalyptic wastelands (BNL Domain) in Gridlocked as is, and both areas are full of robots with scary red eyes.

>>37406706
And the Tempest Domain too, which is robot-only land, with a childish robot princess ruler too. And we also have living toys too.

Might as well dump some stuff that's been on the back burner before I head off to my placement.

Trait:
Watch Your Step: +3 on physical attacks against opponents who are precariously close to falling a great distance; +5 if they additionally have no strikes remaining.

Powers:
I'M GONNA WRECK IT!: Roll all Robustness rolls made to destroy inanimate objects twice and keep the better result.
Long Live The King: Reroll all attacks against opponents who have lost all their strikes (Mooks, having never had any strikes to begin with, are never effected by this trait)
You Will Call Me MISTER PIG!: When charging, you may make a free Intimidate attack against a Lackey or Inner Circle opponent. Any charge bonus you have is applied to your Intimidate roll.
Talk Softly, And Carry A Big Stick: +3 to Persuasion against anyone with a weapon bonus less than yours.
CRIKEY!: Reroll all checks against reptiles.

Postan' from the office: did we ever decide how we were going to run supers? My idea for it is that your stats can go higher and you start with more of them.....BUT the GM is now obliged to fuck with you in that unique way that only supers get fucked with.
>>
>>37416641
>Every time a Will Point is spent, the GM gains a Fear Point to use against you.
>You cannot regain Will until you overcome Fear.
>>
>>37416641
Here's an idea I'd had in a previous thread:

A Super character template would start off using a Human template as the base, and would then be granted one free trait that boosts one of the character's attributes to superhuman levels and one free Power that makes use of that boost to do something Incredible.

For instance, May Kang is a Super. Her player stats her out as a Human however he or she likes. She then gains the Trait:

>SUPER-NIMBLENESS:
>This character is superhumanly fast and agile, granting them +5 to their Nimbleness Attribute.

And the Power:

>SUPERPOWER: Flash Step:
>Spend one Will Point. This character can use their super speed to traverse the distance between two points within the immediate vicinity nearly instantaneously. If done while out of Combat, the Will Point is refunded.

To this, we can add that Supers are granted ranks in Prevent Harm and Endure to represent their added heartiness.
>>
>>37417049
How do we represent supers with more esoteric powers like telepathy or ice beams?
>>
>>37417189
That's a good point. I suppose that telepathy could be Intelligence.
>>
>>37417189
Maybe just have them choose a power which can be a super attribute?
>>
>>37417189
>CRYOKINESIS:
>This character has the ability to manipulate water or steam condensing it to a solid form in minutes, this can be used to form sheet of ice on the ground, careful not to slip...

>SUPER POWER: "I know, I know freeze..."
>spend one will point immobilize your opponent for 14-X rounds, where X is their Robustness score (Opponents with a Robustness that exceeds 14 are not affected)

what do you think to this? I'm not sure what to do with telekinesis though?
>>
>>37417437
>>37417189
Telekinesis: Almost anything normal people can do with Robustness and/or Agility, you can do with Intelligence and/or Sensibility, often at some distance.

>>37416858
Explain further, if you please.
>>
>>37417544
Knight any thought on my cryokinesis setup?
>>
>>37417544
I'm on my phone, but I'll try.

>Fear Points: The dark side of Will. Whenever a Super uses his Will Points, the GM earns a Fear point to make that character's life that much harder. It can raise a TN by (X), make an enemy regain Strikes, or just make a bad day worse.

>One mook turned into five
>That boulder was much heavier than it looked
>The villain has a gun
>The villain has a hostage
>The villain is the hostage and the hostage is the villain

From the looks of things, it seems we may need to think about excluding most of the space stuff, at the very least to save it for a future expansion.

While BnL Wasteland and even the Galactic Federation can fit into this setting just fine, the main issue with stuff like Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Treasure Planet is that these were all about SPACE ADVENTURE! So restricting the associated factions and villains to just one planet seems like just such a waste.

On the other hand, this would eliminate the possibility of explaining away the rest of the world as owned by Zurg and space pirates, so we may have to go back to the drawing board as to why the rest of the world can't be accessed, aside from all the action being in the US.

Another issue I also want to bring up with this is that, with the space settings, I'm not sure if Disney has enough properties set in space to make a full expansion out of
(and Star Wars is out of the question), so if anyone here knows of any more stuff (which still includes "Disney-as-fuck") aside from my previous two examples, please share them, as they may be useful later.
>>
>>37422126
We can always resource to portals/magic storms/time travel shennanigans.
>>
>>37422126
We could say the rest of the world is now relatively at peace, though Europe and Asia are still recovering from the fallout of the heroes' cataclysmic battle against Big C, and thus largely uninteresting. It would at least be a nice change from the billions of stories where America is the last bastion of humanity and the entire rest of the world isn't even mentioned but assumed to be a shithole. As for the space stuff didn't Disney have some forgettable sit-coms and movies with aliens we could use to plug the holes?
>>
>>37422463
I don't really like the idea of canonizing any fate for the Classic Villains. Either make it the same time or make it an entirely separate world.
>>
>>37422463
>>37422126
Do we really need an explanation for why a campaign would be set on the American Continent beyond "this is where your characters are from and this is where the bad guys happen to be" though?

That being said, my vote would have to be for a Gridlock world that is completely separate from the Classic world, and that may have been taken over by the various extraterrestrial forces we see from the various Disney properties.

As to the problem of actually getting to space, the easiest answer would be that Space is where whatever force has brought the Disney world together resides. No Chernobog this time, something in space. Make space the final frontier, the last place the Heroes have to go in order to set things right once and for all.
>>
>>37422126
Well, Treasure Planet could be explained as having part of the Moon and other parts of the solar system, as well as some places on Earth as Space Ports, and like this guy >>37422191 said, constant influx of weird space magic shit keeps them from traveling long distances, possibly due to Bill's influence. I mean, is there an explanation of why is Drossel here? She's from the year 48k or something.
At the same time, some of Zurg's mooks and space criminals decided to come to our Solar System in order to amass a bigger galactic army and march against the rest of the known space. They thought that these weird events would keep the Space Command and any other authority away, however, it also keept those villains trapped in time loops that are only escapable during certain cosmic events or through certain reality shifting portals. For some reason, the only portals known in the solar system are on Earth, Bill can create small portals at will, Drossel has one but doesn't know how to use it and won't care about it until a full scale war starts, The Galactic Federation captured an ancient portal from the ruins of Atlantis, but it's broken and they don't know what the hell it is anyways, Xanatos and other similar tier villains are interested in said portals but have more important shit to deal with. The principle of the portals is pretty much the same as the same as the digitalizer laser from Tron, and thus ENCOM owns the most primitive, yet still funcitonal, portal, which can be modified to work like the others.
Space villains, stablished in the outer solar system, send small expeditions (or go by themselves) to Earth in order to take those portals and open way for full armies. That'd explain NOS-4-A2 coming and shit like that.
Without those portals, space travel in large scale (as in: planetary invasion scale) is pretty much impossible.
>>
>>37422126
As suggested in the last thread, there are PLENTY of ways for the PCs to get into space:

>The BUY n' LARGE Wasteland:
Scattered throughout the BnL Wastes are a number of potential launch sites, both old and new. The BnL Embarkation and Fabrication Center that the Axiom was forced to land at was not the only such facility built by the colossal commercial conglomerate, and at least one of them could still have a mostly-finished starliner waiting to be commandeered. Additionally, there might very well be some older, smaller craft buried amidst the mountains of junk somewhere.

>Gravity Falls:
There very well could be a crashed, saucer-style spaceship out there in the dense and foreboding forests of the Oregon Triangle. Or, the PCs can simply be abducted by one passing by which they can then take over after a brief but pitched battle,

>The Tri-State Area:
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz has invented a lot of Inators, so many in fact that he can hardly remember where he's built them all or what they all do. It stands to reason then that there may be at least one Space Travelinator he's just been sitting on for a while.

>The Earth Wildlife Preserve:
The Galactic Federation has spaceships, and a spaceport at their HQ from which to launch them. What they don't have is anywhere in particular to go.

You just have to get a little creative, and as >>37422635 suggests, not treat outer space like any other Land that can gone to and left as freely as the others.
>>
>>37422648

I dunno, it just feels like Gridlock is already nicely focused with what we already have, and the setting has a rather nice cyberpunk feel to it.
Adding in all the space stuff on top of this runs the risk of making the setting a little wonky, which is why I think it might be better to separate the two.
>>
>>37422906
But if we separate space stuff and modern stuff we'll have to cut Lilo & Stitch and maybe even Wall-E from Gridlock.
>>
>>37422968
>Lilo & Stitch
It takes place in the modern era though, so that could still work.

>Wall-E
...You got me there, I won't lie.

>>37422699
>not treat outer space like any other Land that can gone to and left as freely as the others.

This could work best.
It's just the main worry I have with Gridlock is potentially making it either too big for the modern/near future stuff or making it too small for the space stuff.
>>
>>37417705
I'd add the caveat that the player can always boost the number of rounds the target is bound by 3 per will point spent; this would allow the player to immobilize targets with a target of 14 or greater Robustness. And then there's the fact that, like many super powers, cryokinesis has a broad range of applications.
>>
>>37422968
We definitely need to keep Lilo and Stitch and WALL-E in Gridlock.
>>
I think the best option is to make Space, the Grid and the Game Worlds hard but not impossible to access.
>>
>>37427216
I agree.
>>
>>37427326
>>37427216
The Grid and the Game Worlds exist in cybespace, which essentially has its own simplistic circuit-board looking map showing the interconnected realms and domains.

Outer Space gets its own treatment, with different factions getting moons or planets. They don't need to be complicated moons or planets, just simplistic worlds befitting the different Disney properties.

So I have been thinking about how the Rocky Mountains, but specifically Utah belongs to Doofenshmirtz. Out of all the Disney Villains he is perhaps the one that is the farthest thing from evil. Just insane. What if the entire Mormon population just accepts his rule without any incident. In fact they seem by all appearances to be working hand and hand with him.

Like Doofenshmirtz is walking down Salt Lake City on his way to another insane invention binge and everyone keeps talking to him.

>"How are you doing today Great Ruler Doofenshmirtz?
>"Great weather we're having Emperor Doofenshmirtz, don't you think?"
>"Dr. Doofenshmirtz! My wife baked these muffins this morning! Your favorite, apple strudel!"
"Just listened to your new album Professor Doofenshmirtz, I never knew interpretive jazz was so sexy!"

And off he goes on his merry way, now that people are FINALLY paying him the respect he deserves. And once he turns his back the Utahns go about doing the real work of fighting everything coming out of the TRON terminals and keeping everything else that is crazy out of the Rockies. As long as they remain cheerful and do some scraping and bowing Doofenshmirtz is a really guy to live under, and they want to keep a good thing going.

Thoughts?
>>
>>37451119
That's crazy enough to work. Do they have a Dooftoberfest every year to celebrate?
>>

Magic and high technology - both of which exist in Gridlocked - can explain the existence of the Rock & Rule and Wizards settings in the Buy 'n Large Wasteland. They could be separate civilizations in the wasteland.

Devil & Daniel Mouse could easily be changed to be set in the classic setting - the short story it was based on was written in 1937, the year before WWII (and the basic rule of classic set is that nothing in it can be set after WWII). It even has a suitable villain, the demon B. L. Zebub. And, as previously stated, the characters would fit right in alongside the Rescuers and Great Mouse Detective settings.

My point is he doesn't really fit into a villain ruled universe that well, unless you develop hi further, having become more mad and insane down the line, maybe forcibly taking the beast title as prince/king of the realm.

He's pretty villainous in DVV, though he doesn't have the sheer power and oomph of some of the other villains. If I recall correctly:

>Gaston throws Belle's father into the insane asylum.
>He kills the beast and rescues or "rescues" Belle from captivity.
>He somehow finds a way to convince or brainwash Belle into marrying her.
>Belle gives birth "Clarice," the bastard daughter of the Beast, whome she is told is stillborn.
>The Beastling isn't dead but thrown into a cellar cell to live out her life in isolation.
>Gaston then proceeds to sire a brace of boisterously violent sons.
>He leaves his boys in the care of his stepford-smiler wife while he joins the Elite Global Huntsmen's Club.
>Gaston travels the world, hunting endangered and sentient creatures and generally being an asshole.

Im digging it.

Seriosly, thanks for doing these.

On another note I was thinking about Senior Señor Senior from Kim Possible. I think he could be a lot of fun either as a potential ally to player characters (he's always for being an underdog as a hobby) or being head of a villain club to combat the Huntsman Club.

Like he is still kind of oblivious and he still has all the best toys but now he is on the pc's side
.

>"Bienvenidos jovenes adventurers a mi casa. Please, make yourself comfortable. I would have recieved you in the trophy lounge but unfortunately one of Syndrome's mechs made a mess of it the other day. Hopefully one of those will join the trophy room soon."

>Senior Señor Senior sips his margarita for a second as he waits for the party to give their drink requests with the maid. Senior Señor Junior can be seen in the background doing Tae Bo in another room. As the party members settle in Senior Señor Senior clears his throat.

>"In fact, I was wondering if you wouldn't be so kind to fetch one of those robots for me. Dinkleberg, a friend from the club, has one in his collection and I would so hate to fall behind my peers. And I'm afraid catching one myself would be too much of a strain on an old hobbyist like myself. You will be paid handsomely of course, I take care of my friends"

>Senior Señor Senior smiles as the drinks arrive .

">So how about it? Do we have a deal?"

New map!

Question. Do we really need to keep Bill Sykes as his own independent faction? There has been zero discussion about him, and I feel he would have been either crushed by Xanatos or made useful by him.
>>
File: Bill_Sykes.jpg (44 KB, 639x512)

>>37496956

I don't know, he seems like a really fun villain. I think that discussion has waned recently, people are over the energy of the new year and trying to find a new routine. Doesn't mean the idea is bad. Any ways I could see him as a Professor Ratigan kind of ruler. Like he rules New York with an iron fist and all the other rulers need him for reasons. The gridlock setting doesnt much like that yet.

>>37477655
I like this idea. He definately should not be in the Hunstman Club

>>37451119

I am all for this. I remember somewhere in a different thread recently someone was discussing mormons as cowboy paladins. It could be fun. Though with gridlock it would be black suits and ties, so they would probably be more like MIB.
>>
>>37497791
After watching a few clips of him, I can say I've been won over for keeping Bill Sykes. If he's working Ratigan style, should we give his land to Xanatos Enterprises and make New York dark blue?
>>
I'm still thinking about Rock 'n Rule and Wizards. Their post-apocalyptic settings make them unsuitable for the non-Disney expansion (Bad Bluth and Twisted Dreams), which will have the same historical timeframe as Classic (that is, pre-WWII). Rock 'n Rule has an animal-descended society that's currently up to around the equivalent 1980's. Wizards has a fantasy-like society where trechnology is considered evil. If I had to choose one to include, Rock 'n Rule would fit in better with Gridlocked, due to its more modern society and, based on my limited knowledge of the two films, a greater degree of Being-Disney-As-Fuck than Wizards.

And as I've said before, the shorter timeframe in which the post-apocalyptic societies and their non-human inhabitants developed could be explained with the magic and high-technology present in Gridlocked.

Just a question for everyone here
Did any here see Into the Woods?

Thought it might be source material for this, since it quite cleverly makes even good characters have obvious flaws and mistakes, rather than just evil people for the sake of being evil.
>>
>>37499626
A KLR was made for a monster from it a long while back. Never seen it myself.
>>
>>37497791
I like the idea of Sykes being the Boss of Bosses when it comes to underground connections. He's the one who has the disposable underlings who can smuggle things from one kingdom to another. He can get Inner Circle and Villains stuff that they need, things that their Kings don't need to know about.

Also, I think Xanatos lets Bill run his little fiefdom within New York because he knows that Sykes is the kind of man who would be willing to burn the city and walk away from it.

Xanatos has his 'One Weakness' and that's that he honestly cares about the things that he owns. (Also Fox and Alexander if they are with him/exist.) He'll sacrifice and destroy without a second thought, but he'd never do it stupidly, or just for spite.

Xanatos knows that if he gets into a war with Sykes, the end result would be a lot of needless casualties, pointless property damage, and other forms of waste. It isn't worth it to him to cause that much damage, for the sake of being rid of one crime boss. Xanatos' ego can suffer a few insults, it can't suffer losing what he believes is his property.

And anyways, this is David Xanatos, if he can't make Sykes' presence work FOR him then he isn't worthy of his name.
>>
>>37499689
I recommend seeing it while it's still in cinemas.

But there's no monster in the movie, maybe there was in the musical.
>>
>>37500113
Crap, I was thinking of something else. Into the Woods hasn't been brought up before.
>>
>>37500175
It's dark, I don't know if you have seen the musical. But the first half is like typical (multiple) fairytales with a happy ending, and then everything get flipped on its head in the second half.

It has a dark sense of humour and a lot of characters (good and bad) die, though the point of the movie/musically real is that no one is good or bad or at least it's not so clear cut.

Like I said, go see the movie. It's a great away to see how a Disney fairy tale can be dark without being in your face or some action paced adaption shit. The movie is a musical too by the way.

It's the perfect universe for a role playing adventure

bump with horrifying charming arcade villian

>Cybug+Giffany= p-p-p-pic rel-lated
>>
>>37501780
Not really familiar with KLK, but I think it was already stated that Cybugiffany would be an endbringer-tier monster, since Giffany is capable of influencing machines and technology in the real world.

Which leads me to two questions.

1. Is human technology and artificial life generated through it compatible with alien tech? As in, can Users, or the MCP/CLU hack into alien computers? Can vidya characters (cybugs included) capable of interacting with alien tech? What about supernatural software like Giffany?

2. We know that the monster world/dimension has computers too, so it's the same question. Can vidya or virtual characters break into interdimensional technology networks and interact with monsters through computers?
>>
>>37501950
the point of the Arcades charming Villian is that she doesn't command the adoration of the masses, she commands their fear, kind of expected when she can just scythe a persons head off with on sweep of her leg, that and she puts Fiona of all people on edge ("I know her from somewhere in the Triangle but I can't place it and that...scares me")

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like we're relying FAR too heavily on Cybugs as Arcade villains here. I know that it makes SENSE, seeing as how Turbo is king of the swarm now, but even when they're mixed and matched and hybridized with other characters, they end up feeling REALLY samey to me.

Personally, I would just make the entire swarm an army of intermediate-level enemies, perhaps with various affects based on what game they're infesting and who or what they've eaten. All other villains can be parodies and pastiches of various videogame bosses and characters.

Take Giffany for example. Why change Giffany into a Cybug when she's perfectly terrifying and a great Arcade-Gravity Falls crossover all on her own? It feels unnecessary to me.
>>
Is really nobody working on Aemos and McLeach right now?
>>
>>37505587
I don't know anything about the characters so I have been holding off. Someone was supposedly working on both of them but we haven't heard back from them in a while.
>>
>>37504388
Because while Bill is a bit cuh-razy he isn't stupid. While he can send machinery into his realm of nightmares, he cannot influence them as there isn't a mind to influence. Giffany on the other hand was, and still kind of is tied to her CD so all bill needs to do is possess someone and well, *snap*.

if you don't like Cybug!Giffany, we can probably just make the Arcade Charming an expy of Harime Nui and leave it at that
>>
britbump
>>
>>37504388
Yeah, I don't like Cybug Giffany either. I'm fine with the other Cybug villains because they effectively are what you're suggesting by fusing them with various game bosses but Gifffany is an established character in her own right. I even think we should have her be sort of a free agent whose allegiance is fought over by Turbo and Bill.
>>
>>37509238
Well, I'm not entirely sure where I want to go with the Arcades Terrifying villain, Personality wise I'm thinking Evil Buu+Harime Nui, but style wise, I'm not very video game savvy about villainess charcters so who should I use Mistral?, Crying wolf?, Krieg?
>>
>>37509527
Giffany. Just use her. She can control machines and deceive the players.
>>
>>37509871
I meant a Cybug villainess, Giffany is currently residing in an Electronic fishtank in the realm of Nightmares, Bill gave her what she wanted after all, a Guy that would never leave her, the guy also got what he wanted, a Girl who would not reject his advances...
>>
>>37510204
I still like the idea of her as a free agent but I guess for a Cybug villianess who's Charming and terrifying then I guess you could have it swallow one of those sexy nurses from Silent Hill.

She's an urban legend and good-aligned creepypasta character. Although she was thought to be deleted, various Game Characters, Arcade aficionados and internet conspiracy theorists have claimed to have seen her in various Games nationwide: a hole in the code in the shape of a small figure, a collection of mismatched pixels looking almost but not quiet like a character. Watching from the background or from beyond those invisible walls that you can never cross. Whispering hints and cheats and exploits to make the obstacles ahead easier for the PCs to handle. However, while she is undoubtedly good, her presence tends to lead to Game World corruption and degradation, as well as alerting Real World gamers to the fact that the Game Worlds and Game Characters exist.
