>Please, that was exciting, we should do it again.
>You’re welcome.

“Please, that was exciting,” you lean against Beth, still holding her, “Really, I should be thanking you.”

Beth gives a playful shove, “Come on, I didn’t really do anything to deserve thanks.”

“Sure you did, it was your idea, I just tagged along,” you smile, “We should do it again sometime.”

She chews on her lip, “Well… maybe, we’ll have to see.”

“That’s better than no,” you shiver as the wind blows, you listen to the park for a few moments before finally saying, “You’re welcome, anytime you need me to be there… well just ask, yeah?”

You feel her pull you down into a kiss, this one chaste, and you relax into it.

She finally breaks the kiss after a couple minutes, to your disappointment, “It’s kind of getting cold out here, lets go ahead and get dressed then head back.”

You nod and find both of your clothes in your lap, ”I’d feel you up but our tits are a little sore after all that so… well yeah,” Shadow Alex explains.

Both of you get dressed, careful of your tender areas awkwardly trying to clean your feet off before putting on socks and start your wobbly walk home. To anyone else you probably look like a pair of drunks rather than a couple that just made two sets of Jello.

There’s no lights on in the house when you get home, not that you really expected there to be. Beth glances at her car before shrugging, “You mind if I stay over here tonight? I really don’t want to go home when my father’s going to blow up at me… at least not tonight.”

“Yeah, you can,” you say continuing your awkward walk for the door, “But really you should give him a call or text. Something to let him know you’re alive.”

You fumble with your with keys. Beth sighs, “Well yeah alright I’ll send him a text… but I’m turning my phone off after that.”

You smile as you make your way through the dark house, thankful for your latest element helping you see. You head over to the reading lamp next to the couch and turn it on, providing a soft light for Beth. She sits down on the couch with a sigh and pulls out her phone.

You sit next to her, grateful to finally not be moving. You nearly jump out of your skin as someone grabs your shoulders from behind.

“Alex, my wonderful daughter,” Your father says from behind as your heart and magic… core both try to beat their way out of your chest. You idly realize you almost pissed yourself, Beth almost dropped her phone, but managed to save at the last moment.

“Why are you getting home just after I did?” Your father almost gleefully continues.

Beth’s got a look of half panic.

>I’m in my rebellious stage?

You panic for a moment, “I-I’m in my rebellious stage?” you say pulling at straws.

There is an overbearing silence in the room, “Damn it,” your father says walking off, before pacing back in front of you, “Alex how could you do this to me?” he runs a hand through his hair while shaking his head, “I didn’t even get the chance to see you as a good girl, and yet here you are already rebelling?”

As your panic subsides you gain confidence, “But dad, it couldn’t be helped! I’m about that age and its the normal thing for daughters to do these days!”

“Even so! Now I must play the role of disappointed father figure and complain to your mother causing her to get no sleep, she’ll be mad at you for me tomorrow, you know?” He’s grinning as he mentions your mother.

You swallow hard but hold your ground, “Mom will understand! She went through this same stage I’m sure! She’ll only pretends she’s mad while you’re around.”

“Tch,” you father rubs his neatly trimmed beard, he paces back and forth a few times before he turns with a disgruntled look, “Damn it, I’m going to bed,” he stalks off toward your parents bedroom, “Get some sleep both of you.”

“That was the plan,” you wave to your father with a smile, realizing you didn’t even notice when you stood up, “Sleep well dad.”

“You too Alex, and Beth,” you dad replies before closing the door.

Beth’s taken to finally being a person again, “So… uh, yeah,” she says while turning on her phone.

You shrug, “It’s a game, I think?”

Beth raises an eyebrow before shrugging,”I suppose that's hardly surprising considering your parents,” she elbows your side as she waits for all of the notifications to stop appearing.

“I would normally take offense to that, but recently things have made that glaringly obvious,” you say with a sigh, “Well obvious to those who know.”

“No kidding,” Beth nods while typing out a quick text to her father, you don’t mean to read it but sitting next to her you note she doesn’t mention where she is. She hesitates before hitting send, once it goes through she turns her phone off again and sets it down on the coffee table.

Beth stretches, “Now that that’s done, let’s go to sleep. I’m tired after all that.”

“No kidding,” you say as you start heading to your room, you’re stopped before you make it far by Beth’s who’s grabbed your hand, “Hmm?”

“Let’s not wake Kat up, we can both fit on the couch… and well cuddle,” she’s got a hopeful smile, “You don’t mind right?”

She'd be terrified if we didn't come home after a fight.

I do think that some alone time with Beth is good. She broke her own boundaries while under the influence, so we gotta butter her up to keep her from freaking out when she gets normal.

>>
>>37478001
In the sense of reassuring fears of the unknown, it probably doesn't matter. Leaving her a note might not reassure her until she wakes up (and she might still be awake anyways for that matter), but it still lets her know not to panic and that we are in fact just doing as we do. Being absent minded while we're under the same roof is perhaps a bit harder than our normal brand. Then again, just as normal to leave it be I suppose.
>>
>>37478113
Then we WILL find her, no matter the cost, no matter the time we have to spend. We WILL find her AND THEN we'll collar her. With GPS.

>Yeah, okay, that sounds great.

You smile, “Yeah, okay, that sounds great. Let me at least see if she made it home and grab a blanket and pillow.”

“Sure, I’ll be here,” Beth smiles, letting go of your hand, “Don’t take too long.”

“No promises, I might get lost on the way,” you tease as you head to your room.

You gently open the door, thankful for your improved sight, to see Kat’s head on the pillows and the slow rise and fall of the covers. As you close the door and head for the closet, you idly realize you never told her the password on your phone. You barely suppress a laugh and pull a light blanket and two pillow’s that thankfull are already in pillowcases, always a pain to actually get those in.

Thankful for the small things, you head back to Beth tossing both pillows at her, “She’s sound asleep, taking up half the bed easily.”

“See? We would’ve woken her,” she sets the first pillow down and holds up the other questionly.

You shrug, “Never enough pillows, or blankets but not both, you can have too much of both… that said Kat’s a pretty heavy sleeper, manage to sneak out of bed and make breakfast before she wakes up.”

“Sneak?” Beth raises an eyebrow at that as she lays down making room for you, and pats the couch.

“Yeah, I’m basically a ninja of breakfast,” you grin confidently, “Only sometimes its really bad and everyone suffers.”

Beth laughs as you lay down next to her, the two of you entangle yourselves trying to get a comfortable position… eventually you end with her laying half on top of you using your breasts as a pillow, your arms wrapped around each other as best you can.

“Hey, good night Alex,” Beth shifts just enough to kiss you, before moving back to that comfortable spot.

You let out a happy sigh, “Good night, Beth.”

It doesn’t take long for you to fall into a comfortable sleep. You open your eyes a moment later to find yourself in Shadow Alex’s room, immediately you can tell somethings different. The room itself is the same, Shadow Alex is there wearing noise cancellation headphones while listening playing on your Psp.

You frown in part because you didn’t realize she took it, and in part because of the dull roar present in the back ground.

Shadow Alex looks up after a moment, ”Oh sup, I was hoping you’d stop by and visit, this noise is driving me crazy,” Shadow Alex excitedly greets you, ”Definitely need something to mute that sound and soon.”

You frown and focus on the sound, something you managed to tune out mostly as background noise, it hasn’t gone away since the last time you transformed though it did get a lot quieter once you went back to normal. Pulsing in tune with your heart beat… mostly?

>Do you know what’s up with that?

“Do you know what’s up with that?” You ask, looking around the room. Nothing seems out of ordinary.

Shadow Alex shrugs, ”Well sort of, but not really. So ever since I ate that core, there’s been a funky feeling going on, right?” she pauses, ”Well not so funky more just off beat, you didn’t seem to notice or mind so I figured whatever right? Wasn’t getting worse, nor better.”

You raise your eyebrow at this, and take a seat on a bean bag you used to have ages ago, “Yeah, alright I can see that. Hell it’s like getting a cold but not there yet and it just goes away, no sweat no worry.”

She grins, ”Right? Nah see, then that job comes along we go do it, have some fun eat that core and a couple others… now see this is where I should have noticed right?” Shadow Alex sighs, ”But I was caught up with all the new changes to really notice, wasn’t paying attention. We relax go about our normal shit and I kind notice the funks there but worse not a bad worse just bigger.”

“And then you suggested I try and use it for transforming without words?” you ask starting to see where this is going.

Shadow Alex laughs half heartedly, ”Yeeah, about that. It worked though!” she points out.

“Heh, you’ve brought this upon yourself,” you say bemused, “That said it doesn’t quite feel like anythings changed outside of that… or look that way either.”

“Yeah, just the noise, really glad I picked this up last time I was out,” Shadow Alex holds the psp up.

You grin, while considering how you’re going to handle this.

The two of you chat for a while, mostly about the game she’s playing or complaining about the noise or even the amount of foam and how much a pain it will be to get ahold of until you smell something delicious.

Shadow Alex gives a couple sniffs, ”Thats bacon, you should probably wake up,” she gestures to the door, ”Don’t be surprised if a piece disappears from your plate. she’s grinning widely.

BACON!
>>
>Damn it, why is bacon so good smelling.

You lay there for a moment, debating with yourself despite knowing exactly what's about to happen. It’s the sound of plates being pulled out that finally makes you decide it’s time to get up, not that you were going to last much longer with bacon smelling better than it has any right to.

“Hey, Beth,” you gently shake her to no effect, you remember Beth’s ungodly alarm clock with a sigh.

You take Beth with you as you sit up, her grip tightens around you and she mumbles something or another thats far too quiet to understand. Half tempted to just go get some bacon and hold it under her nose, you instead settle on taking her to the bacon.

It takes little effort for you to pick her up, carrying her before you, careful to not knock her on anything as you head to the dining room table. You kick a chair out and somewhat awkwardly set her down, as your mother watches with an amused smile.

“Morning,” you start to head for a plate when you realize Beth is still attached to you… you glance between the plates and Beth before turning back to your mother, “I uh, can’t get food.”

Your mother’s already eating a piece of bacon, “I can see that, its actually pretty amusing.”

“Will you help?” you sit down next to Beth, who’s kind of only still upright due to her surprisingly tenacious hold on you.

>>37481401

“Hmm I suppose I should, but you know?” Your mother grins evilly, “Your father woke me up in the middle of the night last night bawling about his precious daughter already being rebellious.”

You frown as you start to realize where this is going.

“So I don’t think I will, hopefully you can wake her up… or someone partial to your cause comes along,” she glances back towards your room, “Morning dear, would you like some bacon?”

You look back to see Kat rubbing her eyes, ears flat against her head as she mumbles, “Mornin’” already heading straight for the source of the smell.

Glancing between Beth, your mother and Kat, you are starting to worry about your odds of getting warm bacon.

>Kat surely will help… once shes more awake right?

>Beth might wake up with a kiss? It worked in a story.
>Mom please, forgive me for my transgressions.

You turn back to Beth, cupping her chin and tilting her head to meet yours as you lean down to kiss her, it starts out mostly chaste in the off chance she’d wake up from that… but as expected she remain’s sleeping.

Hesitantly, you start escalating the kiss, biting gently on her lip and pulling, kissing her neck, biting gently on her collarbone, that last one gets a reaction as she moves one of her hands to the back of your head. You make your way back up planting gentle kisses along her neck to find that her eyes are half open, she kisses you back her tongue dancing with your until you hear the sound of a plate being place before both of you.

You pull away, much to Beth’s disappointment, and see that your mother has placed breakfast and bacon before you, “The table is for food, not making foreplay, Desk’s are for that.”

Beth’s eyes go wide as she flushes, she notices the plate, and the smell and uses that as a convenient excuse to not speak.

Frowning up at your mother, “Yo, tables can be just as useful for that. Food and foreplay’s totally a thing you know.”

Beth freezes mid bite of a slice of bacon, you can see the figurative wheels turn as she pictures that.

“It’s not as great as it looks, apparently,” your mother shrugs, “A friend I had in high school complained about being sticky for days.”

You frown and eat the bacon, nevermind the rest of the meal, as you consider that, “Sticky from what?”

“She wouldn’t say,” she’s got an amused smile.

Kat hasn’t even come to the table, instead standing in the kitchen munching on bacon slices as she pleases.

“I’m… no never mind,” you shake your head, while you eat your Bacon with a side of breakfast, you wonder who you should ask.

Your mother’s certainly got more experience, but at the same time its been a long time since she last did this stuff… Kat or Beth would be solid, Kat’s got a little more experience, you think, or at least she told you a little more about everything. That said, Beth probably’ll be a bit more straight with you, direct and to the point.

Whoever you end up picking you think it might be best to pull them aside, your success rate of conversations and dinner tables has been rather low lately.

The table falls into a silence as you enjoy the bacon eggs and hashbrowns. By the end of it Beth’s finally managed to stop being red, your mother finishes first and takes her plate into the kitchen tossing it the sink before heading into the living room.

You glance down at your plate and shrug, its basically cleaned off and follow after her, “Hey, I need to talk with mom for a bit,” you say to Beth, “It shouldn’t take long.”

Beth frowns around her bacon, “Should… I leave?”

It’s with a smile that you reassure her, “Nah it’s not going to be like last time… plus I learned it’s why I’m giving you a heads up.”

She nods, glancing down at her plate still half filled for emphasis.

“Thanks,” you drop your plate of in the kitchen to find Kat’s still munching on the bacon, “Yo’ you should at least grab a plate and keep Beth company,” you ruffle her hair and scratch behind her ears.

Kat stretches, looking at the rest of what your mother made, “Yeah, okay too much bacon’ll make me fat anyways.”

“Well, I wasn’t going to say that…” you trail off, “but yeah, its so terrible and so good. Completely unfair.”

She nods as she makes a plate, “I’ll be talking with mom in the living room so give me like ten minutes?”

Kat glances up at you, chews up her lip a bit, “Kay.”

“Thanks,” you smile and head to find your mother watching Tv on the couch, you take a seat next to her, and wonder how exactly you should go about this.

>>
>There’s this thing and its weird.
>Mistakes may have been made.

“Mistake may have been made,” you start out with.

“I swear Alex if you tell me you’re some how pregnant already,” your mother replies turning up the volume of the tv to cover the conversation.

You feel yourself going red, and you stutter in your rush to reply, “I- wh-what!? No! Mom!”

She’s smiling, she totally just did that to fuck with you, “Well, you never know. Stranger things have happened,” she’s barely holding back laughter, “I’d put money on a black hair’d grankid though.”

If your face got any warmer, you’d think it’d catch fire, “I’m not pregnant nor do I plan to be! That’s not what this is about, at all.”

Your mother pulls you into a hug, one that you indignantly resist, “I know, I know, so what mistakes were maybe made?”

“There’s this thing, and its kind of weird, right?” you say trying to regain your composure, continuing on before your mother can run with that too, “I started feeling funky after I gave Shadow Alex a core… or she noticed some funky things. Whatever, no big deal like a magic cold, no sweat leave it be and it’ll go away, right?”

Your mother nods as she listens, “So we ignored it for a while, then I ate a couple more cores and the core of that fallen god right? Well then things were really funky, not bad nor good just off kilter,” you pause biting your lower lip, “Then yesterday went hunting and felt for the funk to force a transformation without words, and this thing happened.”

“What sort of thing?” Your mother asks, taking this seriously.

“Well, it was like a second heart almost? Or like an engine roaring to life desperate to give me all the power I wanted,” you frown, “That’s not really the concerning part, it’s that it hasn’t gone away… is that normal..?”

>>
>>37488187

She hums as she thinks, rubbing your shoulder, “Well, if you’re asking if its normal to hear that after forcing the change like that… then no, no that should cause it.”

“So then.. its normal in other situations?” you prompt your mother, starting to feel a pit form in your stomach.

She sighs, “It’s not like I haven’t heard of it, but its been a while and I’ll need to talk to some old friends. For now… well don’t worry about it too much and if you need anything just let me know, okay?”

>Well, we need some form of noise cancellation.

>My own theory is that Alex's body/magical powers just needs time to properly adapt to the sudden power spike from the godcore.

Mine is that Alex is becoming a God-like being. Her magic is inordinately effective, she commands two elements and she has what is best described as a magical reactor stuck in her soul.
By themselves, these things don't meam much, but all of them put together mean Alex is slowly becoming a super-magical girl, on her way to Godhood.
>>
>>37488367
...

No. Just no.
>>
>>37488432
Well, it's not completely outside the bounds of possibility. I mean, it'd be bad, story wise, if Alex was able to access this power insanely quickly, but the idea of Alex having a magical reactor hidden and growing in her for years to come, slowly warping her and such, is kind of interesting.

And we've only really been in a handful of fights. If we spent a month doing nothing but fighting demons and eating cores, I wager we'd become one of the premier MGs, in terms of power.

We still need some kind of education about all this shit, though. Too much happening that nobody knows about. I get the feeling that wizards made MGs as "fire and forget" anti-demon weapons and don't particularly care if they survive.

I'm pretty sure that when you start heading towards the upper tiers, like, the top ten percent, the power drastically increases and Alex's rise to the top will grind to a crawl.

That would paint an uncanny picture of high tier MGs
They do get few to no wishes because they use all the cores to get more powerful, perhaps hunting each other is more common there as well. also these individuals clearly split from normal magical girls in that they either enjoy the hunt or the power too much, you know with most MGs wishng away he changes and something else before they quit

Kat is looking like she’s filled with regret, holding the last bite up but debating whether or not to take it, while Beth is watching with amusement egging her on.

“You know you want it, the food was really good and it’d be a shame to waste it,” Beth teases, “It’s only a little more discomfort… and its not like a little fat will hurt you.”

It’s with a groan and a glare that she eats the last bite, “I won’t get fat, I run too much for that.”

“I don’t know, I’ve seen runners that have a little cushion on them,” Beth draws it out with a skeptical tone, “and with how much bacon you ate?”

But they aren't fresh and their lowest stat is higher than your lowest.

Which actually brings us to the point of why you managed to break into middle ground quickly as people tend to try and spread out afraid to be weak in anything.

I've not thought about it before, but the answer is likely yes, or at the very least weaker cores stop providing upgrades forcing you to harder fights to level.

Not sure which yet, we'll come to that when it happens.

Unless the DC's 17 and we have a +9 modifier, in which case low rolls still pass. Plus I don't think the plan is to rack up enough darkness for a change right now. Maybe latter but we have a running session with the gang to handle first (can't let Beth and Kat get fat).

“Here I thought you don’t mention fat to girls,” you say raising an eyebrow at this.

Beth leans back in her chair as you sit next to her, “It’s different when its friends… well sort of? If a guy mentioned it to me I’d probably be pissed.”

You sit at the table, next to Beth, as Kat frowns, “It’s still not good to tease someone about it, even if you are friends,” she doesn’t seem nearly as offput as just a moment ago, even smiling at the corners of her mouth.

“Yeah but friends are kind of assholes to each other in that weird good way,” Beth says smiling as well, “Like checks and balances.”

“Except for a few, like John who’s kind of just an ass,” you comment.

“John’s not that bad, you just get the back end of it all because you suck at cellphones,” Beth shakes her head, “Honestly, if you were better at it he wouldn’t get frustrated with you.”

“Hmmm, well I don’t know about that,” you say before returning to the previous subject, “Anyways Kat a little cushion is fine,” you had to force yourself to not add the second half.

Kat grumbles, half heartedly, “I’m not going to get fat, I’ll just go run sprints later or something.”

Beth hums, “So you are worried then? Do you even know how much bacon you ate?”

Kat opens her mouth to protest then frowns and starts to look worried, “N-not that much?”

“Are you sure?” Beth’s got a sadistic smile.

You cut in before Beth can make Kat panic, “So for everyones sake, lets move on yeah?”

Kat’s still got a worried look to her but looks relieved, whereas Beth hums and innocent tune, “Sure, what do you have in mind?”

“Honestly? Showers,” you say running a hand through your hair.

“Ahh, that sounds good,” Beth agrees, “But how do you want to do them?”

Those two options are actually mutually exclusive by wording alone, further by 4 girls in a standard sized bathtub trying to shower?

Cramped to say the least.
>>
Did we ever find out what temp change Kat got from our last fight? Has Beth already gotten over her rebellious phase? Its hard to tell with her teasing Kat.
>>
>>37490960
I don't know, it's hard not to tease Kat. It might just a natural thing.
>>
>>37490958
Clearly we need to feed SA more cores so she can install a large sextub.

... Bathtub. Yes.
>>
>>37490958
We should wish for a jacuzzi
>>
>>37490960
I think she managed to dodge a temp change just barely.
>>
>>37490960
>>37491024
No, there's one, it's just on the hard to notice side of things.
>>
>>37490958
We really need to save up enough cores to wish ourselves our own private(ish) suite. Private entrance, full bath with a large enough shower to fit 8 or 9 people, massive bed, home theater... Sell it to mom as increasing her home equity even if it means the property taxes go up.
>>
>>37491054
So probably not physical then. Unless its a rough kat toung or something.
>>
>>37491078
We could just fill up SA's place with stuff. It'd be pretty easy to steal the shit we want when we can just make it disappear into hammerspace
>>
>>37491102
Maybe try asking her?
>>
>>37491113
Whoa man, stealing is most certainly not Chill.
>>
>>37491144
It is pretty "meh", though
>>
>>37491113
Stealing aside, you know we can't bring that many people into the shadow zone at once, right?
>>
>>37491176
If that's the case we just need to upgrade the shadow realm until we can bring that many people in.
>>
>>37491176
It'll take time, but eventually The Shadow Zone could become the hottest club for magical girls to ever exist
>>
>>37491168
There is a huge difference between chill and meh. Besides I don't want to bring people in there until we fix the noise problem.
>>
>>37491168
It's totally unnecessary. We have a closet that repairs stuff by magic. We can just head to a junk yard and grab anything semi intact or buy some cheap stuff on the second hand market. Heck, I wouldn't be too surprised if SA figured out how to modify furniture after she actually gets some.
>>
>>37491207
You know that made me think, if you guys actually try for teleporting and then refine it into long distance.

You could be the magical girl club that is on a different beach every hour and make money that way.

Just a silly idea, that I might have to write a side story on.
>>
>>37491294
We'd have Blackjack and orgies and all the booze and weed we'd ever need. It'd be awesome.
>>
>>37491294
How would that make us money?
>>
>>37491367
Wait.
I'm dumb.
I missed the word "club"
>>
>>37491345
This is almost as good as the food truck idea.
>>
>>37491504
It's a thousand times better than the food truck, simply because of the booze and orgies
>>
>>37491560
Also, we don't need to waste a wish on it.
>>
>>37491294
Is Alex really that much of a slut, having so many people inside of her?
>>
>>37491504
Why pick? We can sell food at the party. Ok so we don't get to seek out monsters but see >>37491577
>>
>>37491294
Someone has to have done this before. Hell, there's probably a syndicate of magical girl run businesses and protection rackets that aggressively defend their market share against new comers and independent agents.
>>
Since MG powers will likely start degrading after an eventual first wish, we should wish for SA to be a real person first, and not just an aspect hidden away inside.
>>
>>37491577
We'd spend so many cores on making us be able to fit some many in us at once that it might as well be a wish.

Not that I'm against the plan, I'm just arguing semantics.
>>
>>37491577
We might need to use a wish so we aren't looked at like a freak for all of this happening INSIDE of us, and with our shadow walking about too.
Beth was almost going to do something rash when we pulled shadow Alex out, how would less understanding magical girls react (to an arguably more terrifying situation)?
>>
>>37491596
She'd be just like the whores of Baltimore
>>
>>37491660
>MG powers degrade after the first wish

Pretty sure it doesn't happen that way and if it does we can always get a new contract.
>>
>>37491667
Anybody who would be going to our club wouldn't give a fuck.
>>
>>37491660
...no? People make multiple wishes. Unless you wish to not be a magic girl you'll stay a magic girl.
>>
>>37491722
Given how few people that would be I don't see this business succeeding. Now the beach hoping idea, that has potential.
>>
>>37491660
>MG powers degrade after the first wish
Incorrect, it was 'Magical girl powers eventually degrade after the first wish If You Stop Using Them For Long Enough'
>>
>You go first, I need to summon Shadow Alex.

“Hmm, you two go first, I need to summon Shadow Alex,” Beth’s already frowning by the time you finish saying this.

”I can already taste freedom,” Shadow Alex sounds relieved, ”This is why you are the best, always thinking about me.”

‘Well, I don’t know about best, that sounds a bit narcissistic, but it’d drive me crazy if I was there so yeah,’ you think to Shadow Alex before Beth responds.

“Why exactly?” Beth asks with a frown.

You hum not really wanting to lie, but not really wanting to explain it again either, “Well, I thought I’d give her a break for a little while… and I can only do it so often so now’s a good time?”

Beth shrugs, accepting it at that, “Well alright,” she glances over at Kat, “You want to go first? or do you mind if I do?”

Kat shakes her head, “I’m okay, go ahead and take yours first… I might wait till after I go running.”

Beth hums gratefully, “Sweet thanks, I was starting to feel really uncomfortable,” she’s made it halfway to the bathroom before she calls back, “Hey Alex I’m going to need a change of clothes… you mind if I borrow some of your old ones?”

You shake your head, “Nah go for it, you know where the towels are right?”

She nods, “Yeah, thanks. I’ll try and save you some hot water.”

You watch her go, before heading outback, Kat follows after and sits on the patio, chewing on her lip, “So what does she need a break from?”

Kat is either sharp, or just being curious, you smile at that one, “Well…” you trail off, you could just tell her, but then you’ll still need to explain it to Beth later. It’s not like you’re hiding you just don’t want to repeat yourself so soon.

>I’ll tell you, and Beth later.
>A summary’ll do.
Also, how do you want to transform

>I’ll tell you, and Beth later.
>Normal way is fine.

“You know, I’ll tell you and Beth later, I just explained it to my mother, and don’t want to repeat it all just yet,” you move out into the yard, just incase anything has changed.

Kat looks worried, “You’d tell us if it was something serious… sooner right?”

“Yeah, of course,” you say immediately, “It’s not like I’m going to keel over dead or something.”

She nods, relaxing some, “Kay, try to make it sooner than later?”

“Yeah, I’ll do what I can,” you smile before turning away from her and saying your normal lines.

“Shield of glass, spear of light; Break now, Mirror, Aid my fight!” your closed crack, and break into countless pieces, each of which has grown dark even subtracting from the light around them as they float around you conveniently always one shard keeping your chastity from whoever’s looking.

After a couple orbits around you they start landing on you becoming clothes once more, your blouse is the first thing to come back fitting you comfortably as it wraps around your neck, follow by your yellow thong, cargo pants, and finally your boots.

The remaining shards group together as you instinctively hold out your hand creating a book of mirrors that when opened seems to trap light within and yet still reflect an image.

That feeling of a core, a willing engine waiting for you to just ask it comes back, the dull roar just a little louder than when you weren’t transformed. It’s still not quite as loud as the last time you did this, which is reassuring… you think.
1/2
>>
>>37492818

“Well that’s a little different,” you note before reaching into your book and pulling forth a mirror, pulling on the magic around you and throw the mirror before you. With a smile you realize you pulled just enough to do this, with taking excess darkness, before you is Shadow Alex wearing your same smile.

As always, you can’t help yourselves as both of you rear back for a cross counter and punch each other in the face. You and Shadow Alex end up on your rear, both of you rubbing your jaw and smiling like some couple too happy to see each other again.

Shadow Alex manages to get to her feet first only to knock you back down as she gives you a forceful hug, “Easily the best,” she whispers to you.

Hmm, you know something I wonder about every thread is the unique voter count.

I either have a rotating reader base, someone who posts from a mobile ip/changing ip, or a lot of people that miss votes.

Either way it's mostly just an idle amusement, and curiosity.

>>37493081
You didn't get a change, you ended up with an elemental flare focused on darkness. It's not noticeable too much as in broad daylight it really only makes shadows around you darker.

At night people expect it to be dark, it's actually why you didn't have to roll for hide when that guard passed by because of darker night around you.

As for Kat's change she still has it, it's related to her putting off the shower.
