So this is it, huh? Moot finally giving us the boot?
I guess we had a good run, without his upkeep of the website and his staunch defense of it from a legal standpoint I don't know how much longer we'll stick around, at least as an 'anonymous' imageboard.

So let's reminisce:

When did you first come to 4chan?
What first brought you to /tg/?
Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Where will you be going now?
>>
>>37528278
U a faget and don't understand things.
>>
>>37528293
What exactly was there to miss?
Moot's leaving, something he's been trying to do since Canv.as bombed.
I'm just worried without him around, who or what is going to ward off the next media/legal frenzy like those leaked photos on /b/?
It just feels like our days are numbered.
>>
>>37528449
He always was a faggot and in the recent past he was the bad kind of stupid faggot.
Everything has to change once. Even 4chan.
>>
>>37528449
Don't forget how the mods and jannies are supposed to work for free.

And how they're legally responsible for anything posted.
So if you leak something? The mods get the axe.

>When did you first come to 4chan?
Winter of 2010. Heard about it, wanted to check it out for myself.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
Needed a new hobby, you guys looked like fun. Haven't regretted it one bit.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Good friends from college. I knew they were also on 4chan, and I'd been lurking /tg/ for months before I asked if I could join them on their ongoing Dark Heresy campaign. Haven't regretted it one bit.

After I googled "Matt Ward" and 1d4chan came up.

Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
I don't know, probaply not.
Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Yes, I GMed and fucked it all up. Poor guys, I've not tried GMing since then.

I heard about /b/ as some sort of Internet bogeyman and spent a week there back in 2005. Quickly left but came back for some reason in 2007 and I've spent the last 8-ish years dicking around and wasting time here.

Came to /tg/ in 2011 because some faggot on /b/ told me to take my faggy little Civ games here and the mods/janitors started to delete the threads as soon as I put them up.

Actually got into the hobby and stuck around for bullshitting and game finder threads.

I've played in a bunch of online games but never met someone who browsed /tg/ in meatspace.

My favorite moment was probably Chapter Master's release. Shit was magical.

I'll stick around until things really start to go to hell.
>>
>When did you first come to 4chan?

>What first brought you to /tg/?
I was told it was the appropriate place to discuss children's card games. Haven't left since.

Dear god I hope not, I hear those teegiers are unwashed neckbeards.

Still GMing one to this day.

Early 2008, holy shit that was 7 years ago.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
I got invited to a friend's online game of D&D 4e on Maptools, and slowly worked up the courage to post here.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Just my friends IRL
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Just my friends, though I occasionally browse Gamefinder threads to see if there's anything that catches my eye.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Probably the first Worldbuilding thread I participated in, I remember it fondly.
If it's a particular thread or something, than definitely the 80+ part Shadowrun Storytime.
>Where will you be going now?
I've browsed other chans for years, though only recently have I had to really branch out after IP Range bans. If things go to shit I'll have 8/Krautchan.
>>
He's not just handing it over to some random guy. He's handing it to a committee of trusted people who've been involved with 4chan for longer than most people in this thread have been using the site. Besides, he still owns the site. He's just stepping down as administrator. He could reclaim that position at any time though.

I don't remember.

Tabletop games.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?

Often do, generally every weekend.

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?

I dunno, its been nice overall except for the occasional times of autism.

>Where will you be going now?

Nowhere. Fuck moot, and if this site finally goes beyond redeemable parameters, fuck 4chan as well. The site is irrelevant, the people that are on it that matters, and I have them already.

Good riddance to moot and if the worst comes to pass as everyone was warned it would, there is no-one to blame but ourselves, but even now it hasn't come to that. Yet.

The tale of the industrious rogue, the Martian ghost story, skeleton threads, the list goes on.

>>
>When did you first come to 4chan?
2005. I had heard of the site through it's infamous reputation but I thought /b/ was the whole thing and its rapid movement put me off. Took several months for me to adapt.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
The only thing I used /b/ for was to talk about Warhammer. One day I made a thread complaining about how I couldn't get into the DnD universe despite loving Warhammer, and while a few other anons said "me too" this one guy said I should take it to /tg/. Hadn't even heard of it, but looked in the links at the top. Blew my mind that it was here.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
No
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
I've GM'd for two campaigns, played in two others that didn't last long, signed up for a few more that didn't even get off the ground.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Probably the constant Warhammer leaks, helps me to stay in the loop and plan purchases. But it could also be file hosting threads so I can build my reference library, terrain inspiration threads, epic campaign recounts, story times. So much.
>Where will you be going now?
I already split my time between here and Hotwheel's 'chan, that probably won't change. Once the latter is up to a population and content level closer to the former I'll probably leave here. On Hotwheel's 'chan /tg/ quest threads are punishable by death, so the board is much healthier, more enjoyable.

Oh, small correction. I found /b/ in 2005, didn't use it again for years, not months, and started again in early 2009. I know this because when I came to /tg/ it was after a while of browsing /b/, and I landed here about one month after Ruby Quest ended, when the board was still entranced by it. So that would be... April 2009.

If quests count. I still play on rolld20, so maybe I played with someone by chance.

Well, I like those threads when some faggot posts an anime girl with an intention to start fetish thread, but then owlbear stats get posted, and some anon calls the other a faggot with Motoko Kusanagi's picture in his post, and it all leads to a great discussion about cyberpunk, GitS and other stuff. It's not that rare, really.

>Where will you be going now?
Nowhere. There's no reason for panic, people who cared and/or deleted your shitty posts are still here, just like the community. I don't think that CIA would just close 4chan after Moot's resignation.

Come on, name anything. At this point 4chan hardly has a monopoly on English imageboards, so the worse that could happen is people migrate. No tier of moderation, no introduction of up/downvotes, no linking to facebook, no requiring accounts, no newfag/summer culture, can change that.

And many people have already half-migrated. So what could possibly happen that does any more than push them the rest of the way? 4chan's staff have no reach beyond 4chan.

I think the late parts of 2000 were fantastic for /tg/, an endless surge of comedy and content. It seems to ebb and flow now, but back then it was a literal big bang of energy and creativity.

Where will you be going now?
Nowhere really. Other chans just seem to be circlejerks or slathered in furfaggotry drama, while forums proper have all their own cliques. That's what made 4chan magical, that it was low key and anonymous where anything goes and the only rule was the mutual hatred of pedos. What really dented 4chan was when mods became a thing and when it became popular. As soon as every ween babby knew of the 'internet hate machine' and the 'sekret club XD' then it was over.

Still, it's far from over though, I guess the site is just changing. Idiot babbies have no attention span, so they'll eventually flock to the Next Big Thing(tm) while those who really enjoy what the boards have to offer will remain. I'm pretty happy for the future.

Haha, first, no way, they'd be run into the ground (more) before deleted. But second, like I said, at this point, all they can do is cause more people to migrate.

/tg/ being deleted would actually be a good thing, because it would force the community to find greener pastures. Even better if it's recreated a year later, so those who prefer it on 4chan head back and don't muddy the new field.

>When did you first come to 4chan?
Sometime in 2008.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
I saw screencaps from HFY threads and decided to check out what was up.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Yes, I've got a couple buddies who frequent /tg/
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Yes
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
The same thing I originally came to this board for- HFY threads are great. I love everyone's ideas on how humans would be treated or thought of in the far flung future or a fantasy setting.
>Where will you be going now?
Honestly? I have no idea. After Cracked.com went under with all of their preachy articles and clickbait, I only had 4chan to go to in terms of online communities. If this place sinks too, I don't know if I'll even really spend much time on the internet anymore.

Clicking on the letters thinking they stood for something else. Before that, I was on /b/ (we all start there) and /x/ (before it was killed).
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
No, but a meatspace friend turned out to also browse it.
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Yes, all of my games for the last few years.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Just one? Can't say. It was a while ago, though, when freeform creativity wasn't met with bans, deletions and shitsages. At this point I'm sifting through an ever-growing rough hoping there's a few remaining diamonds.

The three threads in which I created the Major Tom character with the help of all of the other guys. He was a blast to create, but the campaign fell apart shortly after it's initiation. I'll remember Major Tom forever though.

>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Nope, I don't dig online games, tried it a couple times.

Shadowrun Storytime, or anytime /tg/ gets shit done. From creating Adeptus Evangelion, rap battles, and the Pokemon TTRPG, to figuring out how many spiders fit in a drow vagina (around 1.1 liters), this has been my favorite board

>Where will you be going now?
I don't know. I've tried reddit, but they're too fucking stupid, and the kind of stuff I listed above would never make it on any of their gaming boards. I'll just keep lurking here and see what happens.

>When did you first come to 4chan?
Was introduced by a college room mate way back in 2005. I had known about from a meme spewing friend all throughout high school but didn't really start browsing myself until my second year of university.

>What first brought you to /tg/?
I had been browsing /v/ for a while before I realized I didn't care about video games and tabletop has always been my true passion. It didn't take long to discover that this also happens to be the best board around.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Not that I know of but I wouldn't be surprised to have met a few without ever recognizing one another.

>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Sadly no, other than the occasional collaborative game on-board..

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Well, the majority of my enjoyment comes from /tg/ just being /tg/ and discussing things to a gross extent building a beautiful simulated reality just from a collection of poster's ideas or rationalizing seemingly impossible concepts within a sci-fi or fantasy narrative structure.

There's been way too many specific events to recall fully but I remember a goodly portion of the classics when they first happened.

Some threads I remember the most fondly were some of the ones that I started and just watching them go completely off rails into something even far more amazing, as /tg/ is want to do. You guys even stood by me through my own Quest Thread when I hosted one that I had almost no confidence in it ever taking off and not just brought it to life but gave it a great reception and an enduring place in my heart.

>Where will you be going now?
Probably hang around here until it dies. The community is more interesting than reddit and I only browse very occasionally now anyways.

Yes, once or twice. D&D 3.x online with Maptool.

I've seen things you newfags wouldn't believe. Attack raids on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched Warpuppets glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments in time will be lost, like tears in the rain.

2010
>What first brought you to /tg/?
Warhammer 40k memes. I sought out their source, and it was always 4chan.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
No, but I'm flying to France next year and meeting up with a guy I met here.
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Yeah, some of the best. Also, some of the worst.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
The time I writefagged. I wrote a long ass story about how after humanity left Earth, they uplifted a bunch of animals. The dogs they uplifted fought a giant war of conquest to try and signal the humans to come back.
>Where will you be going now?
I'm staying here forever.

2011. I wanted to know what this song my friend had linked me meant:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOospcm5CXk
>tfw most people here are probably newer than me (seriously, it's moot you fucking newfags)

>What first brought you to /tg/?
Because most of the other boards suck.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Nope

>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Once, but it was too weird to continue (no, it wasn't a whizzard game)

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Being in a couple of the threads where the magic happened. When someone tells a story about a great game they had or when someone artistically comes up with a cool concept for something I might want to see in a game.

>Where will you be going now?
Probably still just lurk /tg/ and /sci/

>When hast thou arrived?
Summer of 2013. It was a good year, and /tg/ was the one place where I wasn't called a summerfag before someone actually read my post.
>For what purpose did you serve?
I didn't know anyone else who liked RPGs, and I wanted to know more about TTRPGs in general.
>Hast thou encountered a fa/tg/uy?
Yea, once, but he is far across the kingdom now.
>Hast thou playest a game with thy fellow fa/tg/uys?
I found a party through a gamefinder thread that was really great, but it's since split apart because brad's a chad and pretentiousness. Also just general falling apart I guess.
>Thy favorite moment?
skeleton and lich threads are pretty great.
>What path dost thou travel?
I'll be switching between here and the 8ch board. Both have their merits, both have their jokes and their communities. 8ch has a bit more irregulars and weirdos like me though, so I'll probably end up playing games I find through their Gamefinder more.
>>
So, /tg/, if it really is the end, where are you guys migrating to for your TTG discussions?
>>
>>37535295
There is literally nowhere else to go, and /tg/ isn't going anywhere.
>>

>What first brought you to /tg/?
My roommate told me it was pretty cool, so I decided to check it out
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Aside from the roommate who introduced me to it? No.
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Aforementioned roommate
>Where will you be going now?
Fuck, guess I'll hang around until shit really goes to pot, then I don't know.
>best single moment
Hard to tell. I actually found out the results of the Presidential election on /b/. I was in /co/ for some pretty fantastic threads, like "If Aaron Diaz wrote JoJo" and "The Butlering". My /tg/ stuff has been pretty quiet in comparison, but I've had lots of fun swapping tabletop stories here. I was here for the Tyrannids Codex release, that was some fun shit.
>>
>>37534784
Quest threads are not /tg/, they don't belong in /tg/, and forcing them to be here instead of on their own separate board kills actually /tg/-related content.

Some people disagree with this, obviously, and those people can stay the hell out of Hotwheel's /tg/ and stick to their own board on there.
>>
>>37535515
I was asking as to why it was healthier, like, how does the absence of quests help the board?
>>
>>37535515
Does Warhammer (40k or otherwise) have it's own containment board for the same reasons?

>When did you first come to 4chan?
Way back in 2006 I stumbled upon a link on albinoblacksheep about the Habbo Hotel raids. Stayed for the porn for the longest time.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
In 2010 the old forum group I frequented drifted apart and I was checking over other forums of related interests of mine but social media and calcified cliques did a fine job of making them unbearable. In 2011 I felt sort of lost on the internet and drifted here.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
No, but hell why not. I've dealt with actual autists the 4chan variety can't be any worse.
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
If you count a one shot quest then yes.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
When people really cut loose and be anonymous, some uninhibited honestly human interaction occurs. This isn't just on /tg/ but many of the boards.
>Where will you be going now?
I'll be staying, the internet I knew back in 2010 and before is gone and this site is the only tenuous link to it.

It was a thing of beauty.
>I have no fucking idea and that makes me sad

Probably some small one given how many boards there are, but just like on 4chan, /tg/ serves as the main containment board for 40k. 4chan /tg/ was set up as a containment board specifically for 40k, it belongs here, and the same is true for the new chan

I used to play D&D. I've always liked the tha/tg/uy threads or the d&d stories for DM ideas. And filename/comic threads

nope. I don't admit to anyone that I go on 4chan

Without quest threads the whole front page of the board is available. Without quest threads 30% of the catalog isn't allocated to a tangent. Discussion is able to flourish instead of being shunted to the side. And we have to face it, there are groups on both sides of the debate that are very vocal about quests being a good or bad thing, whether they belong on /tg/, etc. Separating the two groups reduces animosity
>>
>>37535759
I think quests would be better if they were on the board their subject matter related to. The pokemon quest would be on /vp/, those anime quests of which there are so many on /a/, and ones that actually relate to /tg/ material could stay.
>>
>>37535759
Is the front page really that important?

Why do you care about the front page? If you're not bad you'd be using the catalog. Also you can just filter out stuff you don't like to see anyway (keywords).
It's like you want to see them or something
>>
>>37535869
homestarrunner had an update this halloween.
>>
>>37535742
the kobold accordion was the most glorious piece of /tg/ I witnessed first hand
basically you could have just one kobold that weighed hundreds of tons shit out all his colleagues in a line, they all turned to face the other way, and concealed themselves inside the next kobolds cloaca (russian dolls style as i said)
>>
>>37535831
Obviously some people believe it is.

>>37535827
There are those who believe the same as you do, but their voice did not carry on the new chan.

>>37535902
The problem with filtering is that keywords can be misused. You'd think "quest" would keep them out, but some people don't use the word, others catagorize them differently, and worst of all, non-quest content can actually be filtered. That super spooky Mars horror session the guy related four years ago? He titled the followup 'Mars horror quest" because he didn't know any better, and as a result almost nobody noticed

Regardless, "new chan" (ugh wordfilters) still doesn't have the number of users or amount of content required to match this /tg/, so until that happens I'll keep coming here, taking the best stuff to port it over, and taking what's good there and bringing it here. 4chan has been good to me for most of the time I've been here, and I promised in repeated WHFB threads that the next time I GM a game of WHFRP I would recruit from here, so I intend to do just so.

There was a Conan vs Driz'zt thread once. I wrote a blurb about Conan slaying Driz'zt and was told I was good at emulating Howard's style. I was on a big pulp kick at the time so it really made me feel good.

That and I posted a WIP RPG I wrote and it was used by people and is still posted in request threads.

I was going to, but meatspace things got in the way.

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?

Some discussion about freeform that ended up in creating some IRC channel - dicked around on that, and we even had a game of Everybody Is John. Fun times. Other than that, probably the Night Shift threads and that social justice warrior dystopia Quest that never went anywhere but was funny as hell.

>Where will you be going now?

Probably will sit right here until the old plane crashes.

>When did you first come to 4chan?
2007, someone told me about /b/ and I wanted to see it for myself. I looked at it and saw no reason to stick around.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
Someone told me they came to 4chan (which I thought was all like /b/ at the time) regularly to talk about games, back in 2009 or so. I asked them if it was any good/why go there over say RPG_net. I started coming here periodically. Much more frequently in the past two years.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?

No, but most of the gamers I know from meatspace come here.

>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Technically no, see above.

>Where will you go if 4chan goes down?
I will likely look for another chan for /tg/ discussion.

So, if 4chan DOES collapse/get taken down, Where will others go from there? 4+3chan/tg/? 4+4chan/tg? another chan/tg/? Back to Forums?

I desperately wanted stories about great tales in DnD. Basically what gets posted in the best of /tg/ threads that pop up. I think I came into here in 2009 or 2010.

I'm fairly sure it was the peasant railgun. That, the Necromputer, and other tales of mirth and glory fro those who choose to share their time with us all here. I pretty much only went through the sup/tg/ archive for lulz until relatively recently, and i haven't been an active poster, mostly because i don't play many games as such you might like.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Not that I know of. I did know one guy in high school who was about as much of a meme-loving fuck as i was, and i know he browsed 4chan because he was ~edgy~.

I've been on 4chan since I was underage banned in 2005-6. I first visited /b/, but that lasted only a month or so before I discovered /tg/. That was my main board for easily two or so years until I became more interested in /co/, even more so when nazi-mod raped /tg/ nearly to death.

These days, I have ascended being stuck to just one board, so I visit mostly /co/, /vr/, /tg/, /g/, and select threads on /vg/.

4chan has had a profound effect on my life, mostly in ways I perceive things happening on the internet or with certain other aspects. It definitely affected me, though I'm well adjusted enough to be able to live without it or not use it as some support group. That being said, I would be supremely sad to see 4chan disappear somehow. Its about the only place on the internet I feel truly comfortable at, since I can be totally open.

My favorite /tg/ moment was probably necro-computer or skeleton copter. Haggar is on top with the feels, though.
>>
>When did you first come to 4chan?
05 or 06 I remember seeing a news report, from fox i think, and going "Oh hey it's 4chan" before they mentioned it by name. Then i stopped in some kind of horror/fascination as I remembered i'd never actually been to the site, so i had to investigate further. Been here ever since.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
The fact that it was the only place where I could talk about my hobbies without having to deal with 'politics'. To this day it remains one of the best places to actually fucking talk about games.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?

Nigga i've been here almost daily since the times before Nazi mod. Cultist Chan, how many spiders can a drow fit in her vagina, THULSA DOOM, watching with glee the first time some faggot bitched about having to create a 40k general instead of filling half the board with Space Marines, Storytime with Storytiem, Wafflehousemillionaire, MR RAGE, Golden Neckbeard...fuck it's all coming back.

>When did you first come to 4chan?
About 2007-2008. Heard about the site from other sites and some of things going on. I was still a tryhard edgy person back then so that was part of the appeal. I went to /b/ and /v/ a few times but did not find anything that I could not find at another website. So I left.

>What first brought you to /tg/?
I think I revisited 4chan around 2010. I was into D&D and finally found a group of people that I didn't have to teach and weren't (for the most part) neckbeards associated with the gaming club. It was giantitp and TVtropes posting some content from /tg/ that got me interested. Also not being tied to an account and being able to ask questions or say whatever I was thinking kept me here.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace.
Yes, one person from my aforementioned D&D group. We ran into each other and chatted about crazy things in D&D and I brought up the 'DC 80 escape artist check' and he knew exactly what I was talking about.

>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
Had the aforementioned person as a party member. More interested by what you could do with the rules and in the game as opposed to making a character but he improved.

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Assholia was entertaining, numerous threads on culture and religions were informative. The various fantasy and sci-fi threads for world-building and setting creation are great since /tg/ is pretty much the only place I care to contribute and get a reaction besides "yep, that's nice". /tg/ also got to look at D&D 4e and realize I don't need to stick with 3.5 for all my RPG needs. I lurked for the first few years and even then don't post that often. Have to look through the archives and see if there are any specifics.

>Where will you be going now?
Hopefully /tg/ will be unaffected. Note sure where else a bunch of things somewhat related to /tg/ can be talked about on one board.

I don't exactly remember. I think it was sometime in 2006-2008, and mostly browsed /co/ initially.

>What first brought you to /tg/?
I was getting a little bored just reading one board, and I decided to branch out and see if there were any others that matched my interests. I saw /tg/, decided to give it a spin, and it's been my main board since. Real shame about the nazi mod, though.

I still check /m/, /vr/, some /vg/ threads, and /co/ whenever I'm looking for something to read.

>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Probably not.

/d/ brought me to 4chan. After a while, I started going to /h/ as well. It always sorta felt depressing that I just came here for porn. But after seeing some d&d stories (specifically that one where the luchador suplexes the dragon), I wanted to find the place where it came from, to see if there was more. Came to 4chan for porn, stayed for traditional games.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
I haven’t met anyone who really knows about 4chan in general, but there’s this autistic kid who’s obsessed with Hitler at my school, so he’s probably from /pol/
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
I live in a tiny as fuck town, so there isn’t a /tg/ sort of crowd there, but I’ve always to get a campaign going. I read the 3.5 manuals for years as a kid (checking them out from the library whenever I could.) thinking that it was the hottest shit ever. I wrote up campaigns and shit, tried to organize friends to play, but we never got past the character creation.
After making some characters myself, I finally got enough people together to play a butchered game of d&d. The whole thing could have gone better, but it was an all right time. One of the players almost died from a critical from an armless skeleton dubbed Bonerfart, and then almost died again from a critical from a baby dragon.
Other than wistful dreams of someday finally organizing a game of d&d, I played Friday Night magic at the flgs in the next city over until my favorite deck became non-legal.

>What have you done to contribute to /tg/?
Ran a quest or two about the D&D Binder class, created at least three well-known /tg/ original settings collaboratively (probably many more with minor contributions but we all accumulate those if we're here long enough), worked out the crunch in a thread full of fluff guys for a Lovecraft-themed side splat for a certain existing white wolf game created collaboratively, wrote most of a pdf for a standalone mtg rpg individually. Helped develop half the population of the Tiji sector on 1d4 chan. Actually, was the one who actually entered a great deal of settings and such onto 1d4 chan for that matter. Generally give critiques of almost any character concepts, setting ideas, and card game and wargame lists I see, was the host of the Sonic's Connect the Dots thread, and post both feel-good and sad encounters threads on /tg/ every once in a while. I also writefag a lot for everything from WH40k fan fics (especially Iron hands) to the Hopeless warforged story to HFY stories and sci-fi Ai conversations and wow i just realized what a hard on I have for writing about robots...

Anyways I'm sure there's more but that's all that comes to mind immediately. It's enough that I feel like a moderate contributor to the board despite my infrequent visitation..

I was one of the guys doing crunch when Uberstadt was a thing, and I posted up my group's houserules for Dawn of Worlds that I'm pretty sure no one else used.

Recently ripped the entire Savage Tide adventure path from Dungeon and Dragon and condensed everything into a complete adventure pdf and a pdf of player options, but I think no one noticed that one either.

I don't like this idea that /tg/, any /tg/, is for 40k first and foremost and anything else, D&D, cards, roleplay, LARP, whatever, is secondary. If people want a board that/s just for 40k, then ask whoever moot's replacement is for a /40k/ board. The alternative is telling everybody else on /tg/ that they're only guests, and I don't think anybody reasonably believes that.

We were all people who signed on to defend some Empire city from a Chaos invasion. Long story short, the city got fucked and the PCs were some of the only survivors. Demons in the streets, big portal over the city, the whole deal. I played a barber-surgeon who ended up as some sort of avatar of Morr once everything was said and done. At one point I had to perform emergency brain surgery on the party Halfling. I botched the roll and he spent the rest of the campaign thinking he was a druid.

2006. I was just a stupid kid looking for stuff to do. I caught the very end of that magical genesis era, and was hooked.
>What first brought you to /tg/?
I'd always been interested in Warhammer and DnD, but was never social or rich enough to get into either. I lived vicariously through /tg/ until I built up the courage to join a few games.
>Have you ever met anyone from /tg/ in meatspace?
Nope.
>Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?
A few. Can't say they were great, but they were the only games I had, and I made some life-long friends through them.
>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Honestly, this'll sound faggy, but there was something about the Rubyquest threads that really captivated me.
>Where will you be going now?
I don't know...this place is kind of my home. I hate being social, but I want to communicate with people. Shitty paradox, huh? I've toyed with the idea of joining other sites but they're not the same. The big posters have all the clout, and if you step out of line you're gone. I'm always a late latcher-on to things, anyway, so even if I decided to go somewhere it'd be on its way out already.

I'm a latecomer to this thread already, it's almost at its limit. I guess I'll ride this train to the end, though.

If you're leaving, it's been real. If you're staying, I hope there's something to look forward to. I love you guys.

>>muh porno
>>muh I don't even need other boards anymore

Basically he made the board a little more on topic.
>>
>>37540250

The gist of it is that the Nazi Mod had a very narrow definition of what was /tg/ related and thus was not ban-worthy. While it did technically make the board more on-topic, many writefags and drawfags were driven off, and only certain types of 40k threads were allowed.

The LARP story is real, dammit. It's real, and the OP just got greedy and made up a part 2 because he knew he couldn't ever have a life experience as cool as part 1 again.

>>37537693
I heard he died of exposure
>>
>>37540250
at first he cut down on shit posting. Then he started killing fluff threads on sight and anything not WHFB or 40k related and anything not crunch related. Also he did his best to curb all fapfiction and porn dumps.

now the porn dumps are defensible, but he IP banned a lot of the smut writers. Now I've written a lot of fluff for various /tg/ related, I also write a fuck ton of smut. So on top of killing all fluff related discussion he also did his level best to get rid of all the fluff writers because he disapproved of our non fluff writing activities. Not to mention all the shenanigans drawfags get up to. He drove off all the OC writers and artists until the remaining /tg/ers drove him off.
>>
>>37540396
Which LARP story?
>>
>>37540409
This. He pretty much murdered the board's ability to generate OC for a long while.

I don't care about the porn, that did need to go. It was everything else that he took down with it that really fucked the board up.

Any good story gets me going, really. Hype for new releases, sometimes.

Where will you be going now?

There's nowhere else to go, this is home. These people on /tg/, whom I've never met, have been entertainers, provocateurs, councilors, mentors, and most importantly, friends. We often harp on about how /tg/ is dying or 4chan is shit but this is a community unlike any other, one free of cliques, divas, and power abusing moderators. What ever happens, we make the most of what we have, because it is we, the community, the fa/tg/uys, the elegen/tg/entlemen who make this board what it is, not moot, absentee admins, or zealous SJWs who make this board what it is and give it culture.

Let's hope for another good few years, guys. Here's to you.

Early 2006? It is all a bit fuzzy at this point. I was in my weeaboo phase at the time, so I spent about .5 seconds on /b/ before moving onto /a/ where I stayed a couple years.

Being on /tg/ helped me keep up my drawfaggotry skills. It was always fun trying to capture the spirit of an awesome scene in a story. >Have you ever played a game with anyone from /tg/?

>What's your favorite moment you've experienced on /tg/?
Its continued existence. This may sound cheese but this place is what 4chan as a whole was like pre 2008 - people being a bit baity with their humor but has enough empathy to actually recognize a good joke and praise it for its contribution. If there's shit, the initial response to counter throw or sidestep direct insults, and while there's a consistent amount of bitchfests, the greater part of this board is intact
>Where will you be going now?
Sticking around. 4chan died twice pre 2006 simply because moot was sick of this shit before. Absolute respect for the man that saw this baby become what it is, but I don't blame him for stepping down. The internet is completely different place these days than when this place was founded and conduct is a lot more cynical, blunt, and unforgiving with 4chan as whole being one of the perceived mast heads of said cultural shifts. How he's kept his head after all the cultural changes is a damn miracle, watching the shift of him being perceived as on everyone's side to being this hated face in recent years, just seeing that as an anon looking in is tough shit. Respect to where its due, fuck the haters, there were always alternatives and you're still here.

I dabbled in Warhammer when it was founded, but I swiftly found that Warhammer couldn't hold my interest. I returned in mid-2010 during a rash of high-quality writefaggotry.
