You are Sir Adlrich Brickvelt, Knight and Crusader. You have ventured far from your English homeland to help reclaim the Holy Land and drive out the vile heathens and pagans.

Until you died. There you where, fighting in Acre, cutting down heathens left and right and then BAM! a bright flash in green light sends you flying.
You're not sure what killed you, but you are sure you have died, for you see the light of Heaven in the distance, and a divine cacophony faintly in the distance. You are sure you will be greeted warmly by your forefathers and fallen comrades in the halls of the Lord, but when you open your eyes, Heaven doesn't look anything like what you thought it would...

Before we begin let's roll for stats

The four values are Strength, Intellect, Dexterity, and Luck

Strength determines how strong and healthy Sir Brickvelt is.

Intellect is a measure of intelligence, wisdom, perception and general mental flexibility. The greater Sir Brickvelt's Intellect the smarter he is and he can adapt and learn easier

Dexterity is the value that determines our Knight's speed and nimbleness.

Luck is simply how lucky or unlucky Aldrich is.

The dice are four d20's. I'll use the average outcomes of the first four rolls.

Int:19

So ten is the average Stat line, so Sir Brickvelt is above average strength, a practical genius, only slightly faster and more dexterous than most, and only slightly less lucky than ussually (not enough to effect anything).

Tesla gets sent back in time via tesla techno magic, finds arthur as a orphan, uses him to gather materials necessary for basic combustion engine, lamps, simple mechanical items, gains reputation as powerful wizard, preaches prophecy about boy, local ruler adopts him as son, delusionally believing him to be the chosen one. Local ruler mysteriously dies, Arthur and TeslaMerlin ascend to power, carve out vast empire using early 1800's and even further tech because Tesla would have has infinite access to englands natural resources and probably lands abroad as right hand of the ruler of the land.

(Bonus points, gold is extremely rare and valuable because the crown hordes it for teslas machinations. )

Sorry lads, too late. But don't worry, if things go well you'll be a walking armoury in no time.

The sounds of war stir you from you from your moment of rest. You jolt upright, the thunderous headache fading slightly, your Mace readied and your shield raised.

You do not find yourself on any battlefield however, nor do you find yourself amoungst the heavenly host, or the legions of hell for that matter, at least not that you can tell. Instead you find yourself in an alien landscape of light and clashing sound. Spires affixed with glowing banners and flashing walls stretch infinitely towards the sky while..things...speed about on black rings, gouting bright beams of light and roaring like savage beasts. These things would imply a realm of Satan if not for the melodies that hung in the air, disjointed and ill mixed but still divinely beautiful and strange. Stranger still are the folken surrounding you in a ring, with garish clothing and hair, colours and styles impossible to the earthly realm, their skin every shade and hue, and their faces contorted in worry, amusement, and fear.

"Pardon me Sire, but can you enlighten me as to which celestial realm in which in stand?" You ask in french.

Good question. We know nothing about what happened only that there was a green flash that sent him flying. Could have easily been a hearty blow to the head. There are rumors of dervish wizards and Saracen warlocks but as a smarter guy, Brickvelt dismisses these assumptions. Perhaps he will reevaluate his position.

"What do you mean?", you inquire. She bites her lip again, a curious habit, "I was looking right at a random spot on the street, and then you just blinked into existence in front of me. I couldn't believe it, I thought I imagined it but other people started noticing and I knew you where real. Let's just hope word doesn't spread..."

The news is deeply unsettling but perhaps...perhaps this IS Heaven but no one knows it but you? No, that's ridiculous...maybe this is limbo? You where forgiven of your sins in the crusades, but what of those before hand? You can't be sure, this is all conjecture..."M'lady, I know not of this place. Whether you think me mad or not is of no import, but I truly have no knowledge of this land, of this eldritch architecture, these foreign peoples. What can you tell me of this place?" She nods, "No, I don't think your crazy, I think I'm crazy. I think everything's crazy right now. But...if things..if things are what they seem? Sir...you're in the future..."

You stop on the stone path thay borders the ebony road. That...that is impossible...the very idea...but somehow...it makes sense. Deep in your bones you know that this may very well be the truth. But how? Why? What in God's holy name happened in Acre? And what smells of urine? "F-fine. Aye...that's...yes...Where are we going now?",You ask hesitantly.

"A place where we can make sense of all this. A place where I can hide you until we figure out what's going on." She assures you.

"Very well then, I suppose.", you say, still shaken by the revelation that you may be hundreds of years from your home. "S-so, this is the future of the world? Truly what wonders it has wrought." She nods and smiles, "You're taking all of this quite well, I must admit Sir Knight."

You laugh, "It's all I CAN do, m'lady. So is this what the Future of Acre holds? We wiped out the Muslims, yes?" She looks shocked at this, then laughs sheepishly, "N-no, not really..." You scoff, "Like plague rats they are! Damned things won't quit!" She shushes you, "We really need to talk about political correctness of you want to survive here!"

You pass by many places, shoppes and taverns and inns from what you manage to read and what Lisa has time to explain. Despite the amazing wizardry at work in the city, the signs of urban squalor litter the streets, as do beggars and madmen. It's good to see that some things never change.

The pair of you carry on your way in relative peace until you pass by another tavern. Then you get hit. It is glass, you know this because it shatters upon your plate, and was filled with alcohol because it's seeping into your God Damned armour. You turn and you see a man, obviously inebriated, laughing "Wooo! Yeah! Thash cool man! Thatsh real fuckin' cool!"

Lisa gasps, "Please, I don't know how you'd normally act but the man is drunk and no one cares if you're a lord! We need to just keep moving!"

CRUSADER, THE LORD OF THE REALM

You are drenched in ale and furious but you manage to not cave in the drunkard's skull. "Your land's law are strange and your people crass, but this gong farmer gets live his miserable life for a little longer. No doubt someone with less patience than I will end him for me." You growl as you turn you back. Wet and sticky you are no longer able to enjoy the sweeping architecture and strange buildings as much as you had, and what is apparently not a terribly long walk at all becomes an endless march. You pass through a sizeable cultivated wood before arriving at your destination. The building touches you in a way that the others had not, combining the classical Roman and greek architecture with that of this new era, creating a truly unique building. "What is this before me?" You ask. She smiles, apparently pleased at your amazement, "This is my place of work and study, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or the MET. It's where we can get some answers, and you, some rest." You smile, and nod, "After you, M'lady."

You both walk toward the museum hopefully answers and fresh trousers.
