Previously: You, Balzdeap, Demon warlord supreme have been summoned to a human world and drained of most of your powers. Tasked with overthrowing the entirety of human civilization by the Unspeakable lord of Hell himself, you began by murdering a cat, taking several souls, and saving a suicidal girl from an eternity of nothingness with the offer of an eternity of servitude. Good luck, asshole!

You go to your summoner's closet and look around. As expected of a special snowflake tryhard summoning demons in his room, it's all in black. You shrug and don a hoodie with the logo for some band called "Titanium Wench" on it, huh. You begin exploring the streets with the hood pulled totally over your head, looking for information on the metropolis that you've been launched in to. It seems that this particularly city is owned by an interstellar trading corporation. It's political makeup is similar to that of old merchant republics from the pregenitor civilization in that many merchant families live under the republic and pay taxes to it in exchange for it's many resources. The head of each family will also campaign for election as the Princeps of the Republic upon the death of the former Princeps. The current Princeps is rather old right now and campaigns are in full gear, this could be a gateway to the top of the hierarchy of this nation if you exploit it once you're strong enough, interesting. The standard of living in the city is fairly high, with the obvious exceptions being the slum buildings such as the one you were summoned in to.
You return to your hideout, thinking over the possibilities of what you could exploit in this easily corruptible government system.

You sense a mind who's sanity is slipping several floors above you, it seems to be one which yearns... yearns for knowledge. Perfect! A gullible idiot in all likelihood, wanting to learn all that he can, he should be easy to take a piece out of. You concentrate for a few second and then teleport into the man's room in a spattering of blood. It takes you a few moments to catch your bearings, as every surface of the room seems to be covered in paper. Each piece has mad scrawlings of histories or of theories or of mathematical equations on them.
"Human!" you thunder, in your perfectly average (if rather non-threatening) voice.
"I have come to sate your lust for knowledge, accept my fee and you will know more than any man before you!" you chuckle inwardly, this one always gets them.
Levelling your eyes on the source of the yearning, you realize you made a mistake, this isn't just one man who's wanting knowledge, it's three. Well, the more the merrier you suppose, all three are completely in awe of you at this point.
"What is your price, demon?" the better looking of the trio asks.
"Merely your soul, you will be allowed to keep such knowledge for as long as you wish, or until the end of your natural lifespan." Heh, with what you're gonna tell them odds are it'll be the former. The three look at each other and, unwilling to look like a pansy in front of their friends, they all accept. What fucking ridiculous creatures, social acceptance comes before survival for them.
>>
>>37593317
You shake each of their hands, and prepare to tell them the knowledge that will fill their puny little minds with horror. Suddenly, a thought occurs to you, if you wanted you could twist the knowledge you're about to tell them in such a way to make it seem that the only logical thing for them to do is follow you with utter and complete obidience, sure you wouldn't necessarily get their souls immediately, but thinking, reasoning, hopefully-less-gullible-after-you-trick-them servants could be an extremely useful addition. In fact, that would be the start of a cult!
>Take all their souls, you can start a cult some other day
>Take two of their souls, leaving you with one cultist and two thralls, two souls is all you need for your next evolution in form
>Leave them all alive, but turn them into ever-loyal cultists, they will provide an easy link to new parts of the slums

You decide to leave them alive for now, as much as they are gullible little fucks they do seem to be well-learned, and you were planning to start a cult anyway. You begin whispering in a thousand voices the eternal knowledge of a Hellscape beyond human imagining, and promptly say that the only way they could potentially save themselves from that abysmal fate is submitting to your will. They fall over themselves bowing and prostrating in front of you, you say to them,
"I've decided to let you fuckers keep your souls for now, so tell me, who the hell are you?"
As it turns out they're university students, two are engineering/construction/physics students and the third is a chemistry student. You tell them to clean up their room and prepare for it to be used as a research lab. As soon as you get more rooms in this complex you'll turn them into something more cult-y, but for now having three learned men as your slaves will do.

You decide to go to the lowest, deepest parts of slums, past even the gang territories to where the hobos have set up a tent city. You wander around for a while until you a hobo laying against a wall who seems fairly heavily muscled. Probably not as smart as you'd like but after those three wimps you've got upstairs some muscle would be nice. You tap him on the shoulder, and then he turns around.
"HOLY SHIT!" The dude's gotta be at least 60 or 70, what the fuck?
"Well howdy there kiddo! I'm one-ball Sally!"
And with that you leave.

He actually managed to break a couple of your ribs with that, what a strong human! You have to end this quickly, circling each other, each of you have your eyes locked, looking for an opening. Suddenly in the apartment behind you, a kettle starts to whistle. That's all the distraction you need, lunging forward, you plunge your knife into his throat. Coughing blood, the lawyer staggers backwards, clutching at his wound. You plunge your knife into his body again and again and again, covering his surprisingly nicely furnished apartment with his own, steaming blood. Finally, with the smell of shit and piss, he goes limp. That was fucking ridiculous. You heal yourself with his life essence, then take his soul, which as it turns out, is rather powerful.
(+2 Souls)

You feel your body start to twist and bubble, the blood beneath your flesh boiling with power as your body reshapes itself. You are know the height of a tall man at 6'3", your skin is much more durable, you're 10x stronger than an average man, and your magic is of a normal demonic potency. You could easily take on any unarmed or lightly armed human at this point.
As you examine your new body, you realize you still have enough energy left in you to grow a personalized appendage, what do you choose?

You decide to relax and let the energy flow to wherever it wants on your body. Surprisingly, it immediately begins streaming into your back. Tiny nubs appear around each shoulderblade, and they grow and grow until you find yourself with a pair of large, leathery wings, easily capable of supporting your weight.
"Oh, unholy fuck, this is badass!" You spend some time exulting in your newfound pair of flappers, but soon enough you realize the downside. Even if you wanted to, you have nowhere to fly outside, if anyone saw you (and believe me, with those flying cars, they would) your presence would immediately be revealed and you'd have a thousand demon binders on your ass. Welp, if nothing else it's good for shock and awe factor, and perhaps in a fight as well. Maybe one day the time will come when you'll be able to use these.
Gained Wings. Bonus: ???
