"Get in gear, Sierra."

After finding a wounded, but alive, Mute inside the hive spire he went on to tell you how he got there: After jumping from the crashing gunship, he had landed a couple of meters away from where you landed with some clone troopers. However, before he could make contact with you, something ripped his helmet off and beat him across the back of his head.

"Initiate door breach, commando!"

He had awoken in mid-air, still light-headed after being beaten unconscious, and he felt himself being carried by four arms, two on each arm. When he tried to struggle, the arms immediately threw him forward, sending him through a large hole in a wall. He landed on his arm, dampening the fall somewhat, inside the large oval room Sierra Squad later found him in.

"Setting breach charge."

Light torture and mutilation awaited him as a geonosian elite serving Sanc Qun questioned him regarding his orders, where his squad's current location was, and what other objectives they had. Mute never figured out how Sanc Qun could of known about Sierra Squad. When he refused to speak, they shot him with Ion rounds, stunning him in electricity that surged through his body. After a couple of minutes a red light started to flash in the oval room and the geonosian elite immediately flew away from the commando and activated a small portable holo-projector of his own, showing a small image of Sanc Qun. They spoke in a tongue that Mute didn't understand, but he wasn't concerned about their conversation. He would use this opportunity to free himself and kill them all. 5 Battle droids and 4 geonosians plus the elite flying above him.

"Clear!"

The geonosians holding him down was focusing on the conversation between the elite and Sanc Qun, so Mute mustered his strength and forced himself up on one foot and used the momentum with the added strength from his right leg to push the bugs off of him. The elite cut the contact with his high general and barked out orders to his soldiers, both droids and bugs, to kill Mute. He had quickly leapt back towards one of the bugs that had held him down, pulling the DC-17 hand blaster from its belt and killed it with a thrust into its throat with his wrist-mounted vibro knife. What followed was a fierce fight of dodging, leaping behind cover, using just about every single round he had left in his blaster and getting slashed by a geonosian knife across his left eye, blinding it permantely.

"Enemy neutralized", you heard Mute behind after he executed the last breathing geonosian in the room. He had his helmet on again, but you won't ever forget how his ruined eye looked like. With your squad back at 100% strength and a Jedi on your side, you have systematically been fighting your way up the spire, room for room, killing dozens of bugs and destroying even more droids. When you finally cleared the last room on the fourth floor and linked up with Joker again, you heard the familiar voice of the Advisor in your ear.

"Four-Five!", his voice was sounded more static now than before, "Sanc Qun is on the move! He was spotted out on a platform on the fifth level where a small geonosian ship is docked! We won't be able to shoot him down in time before he escapes. Get to it, Sierra. Command wants him dead, today."

The nearby room has the console where the data is stored, but it'll take time to download it all and you haven't checked the room for hostile forces yet. The nearby stairs leads up the fifth floor where Sanc Qun is currently trying to escape.

"Copy that, Advisor. Four-Five, out.", the rest of the squad and the Jedi heard the urgency in Advisor's voice as well, "Joker, Mute. Retrieve the Data. The rest of Sierra Squad, form up on me!", and with that you make your way towards the stairs with Ones and Yna in tow. Before you ascend the stairs you hear Joker and Mute initiating a door breach with what explosives they have. Upon reaching the fifth floor, you stand face to face with four armoured insectoid creatures; geonosian elites, all of them armed to the teeth with knives and elite beam weapons that are powered by fluids. Behind them, you can see Sanc Qun on a platform jutting out from the spire, working on his ship and getting it ready for take-off.

"Ones", is the only thing you need to call out for the fellow commando to understand you. Yna launches herself into the fray while you shoot off a grenade from your pre-loaded grenade launcher attachment onto the two elites Yna isn't fighting. One of them explodes into pieces while the other evades it barely. This creates an opening that Ones immediately takes advantage off. He leaps through the hole in their defenses and starts sprinting out towards Sanc Qun. The elite that evaded the blast is about to fly after him before you start to rapidly fire rounds at him. The elite charges up his beam weapon and fires off an energy blast aimed for you. Luckily, you have extremely good reflexes and dodges the blast and with a couple of quick steps, you've closed the distance between you and the bug. After a thrust with your left hand, your wrist-mounted vibro blade finds itself firmly stuck in the filthy bugs throat. It coughs up green and yellow blood onto your helmet and it swipes at you with its weak arms before it dies.

Looking to your left after pulling your blade out and cleaned your visor, you see Yna Ti standing above two dead geonosian elites, both cut in half by her lightsaber. You catch a glimpse of Ones out in the platform right before he throws a grenade into the air that lands safely inside the seat of the small geonosian ship. Sanc Qun tries to get away from the ship in a state of pure panic. As the ship explodes, the shockwaves sends Sanc Qun flying forward, landing face first in front of Ones. The commando quickly takes a grip of the high general and forces him up on his knees as you approach him.

"Filthy clones.", Sanc Qun spits out with his geonosian accent, "Go ahead, kill me. My master will have all your heads before the end of this day."

"If you insist.", is the last thing High General Sanc Qun hears before you put a blaster shot in his head, ending his life. Ones releases the limp body and lets it fall off the bridge of the platform, down to the ground far below. "Advisor, do you copy? Subject is terminated.", you report back to Advisor, but you're only greeted by static at this point. You're in a dead zone from the looks of it. Time to make your way back down to check up on Joker and Mute. When you pass the dead elites or what's left of them, you hear Ones whistle into the comm, "Beautiful work, Sir.", he comments on the mess you made of your two elites. To your right you can see that Yna is about to ask Ones something, but refrains from it in the end. After making your way down the stairs the three of you pass the nearby corner and moves through the open door that Joker and Mute blew up.

The room you enter is larger than the other ones you've cleared in the spire. However, even from the entrance you can spot the large console where the data must have been stored and from here you can also see Joker and Mute. They're standing by the console with three destroyed BX droid commandos strewn about nearby. "Report, Sierra.", you order them upon approaching the console. Mute salutes you and Joker nods at you.

"Someone or something was downloaded the same data we were after, Sir.", Joker explains, his tone anything but his usual light-hearted one, "We eliminated their body guards, but the armed soldier or droid got away with half our data. We now have the other half, but without both parts it's incomplete and can't be viewed on our datapads, this console or any terminal. Same goes for the part the thief took as well."

Sanc Qun has ben eliminated, but an unidentified individual or droid stole half the data. Without both halves, the data is incomplete and useless to both us and them. Please advise." - You recieve the same silence as usual when Advisor is checking with Command.

"Forget the Data, Four-Five.", Advisor finally returns to the comm, "You've been retasked by Command. Get out of the spire and we will pick you up with our gunship. Echo Squad is nearby, and have lost two members of their team. They are under heavy fire and you're going to assist them."

"Looks like you'll be getting your ride to Command after all.", you nod at Yna before adressing your squad, "Sierra, form up on me! We're moving out." - And thus, your journey down the spire begins. You pass by all the rooms you filled with dead geonosians and destroyed droids on your way up. Not a single word is said. You've completed your mission, but the battle of Geonosis isn't over yet. You've got a job to do. The duty of a Commando, as Mute would put it. After only a few minutes of jogging and taking a couple of elevators, you finally find yourself on the ground floor of the spire. The sound of blaster fire and explosions can be heard in the distance when you exit the hive spire, but the more immediate sound is that of a landing gunship.

"Get on, Sierra Squad!", a clone shouts at you when the blast doors to the ship opens. You and your team complies and climbs onboard. The blast doors remain open the entire time as the ship lifts and flies off. Mute takes a seat and holds onto a strap hanging from the back-wall of the gunship's interior while the rest of you remain standing. "It's nice to see you face-to-face, Four-Five.", the clone standing in front of you comments, holding his free hand up, "I'm Advisor, your eyes in the sky and liaison."

"Thank you, Advisor.", the short handshake is broken as your hands part ways, "what's the current status of the battle?", you ask genuinely wondering while your gaze swipes across the battlefield in the distance. From up here it looks like ants are shooting lasers and firing bombs at each other. The thought would amuse you if you didn't know that the men down there are your brothers and while the clone army is making good grounds against the droids from what you can tell, they are still losing men.

"The geonosian arena has been taken and the Jedi inside of it have been secured. Delta Squad is infiltrating one of the main Core ships as we speak and the battle on the fields is pushing in our favor.", Advisor explains briefly.

"What about Echo squad? What's the sitrep for them?", you continue. "They were ambushed by a platoon of droids on their way to their main objective. Two of their members are confirmed KIA and the others are under heavy fire."

"Also, can you drop off her by Command?", motioning towards Yna, you catch her attention and Advisor looks over at her. "Will do. Stay safe out there, brothers.", Advisor adresses all of Sierra Squad. Ones grunt at him, Joker gives him a thumbs-up, and Mute silently nods at him. At least that hasn't changed. Before too long the gunship lowers itself closer to the ground and Sierra squad rappels down from it onto the hard sand in the middle of a small canyon twisting and turning towards something large in the distance. Yna stays onboard the ship as it takes off.

"Thank you, Four-Five!", you hear her in the comm before they fly off.

"Move out.", you order your men and they follow suit. You have Echo squad tagged on your HUD so finding them won't be a problem, but it looks like the canyon has filled up with more droids after Echo squad has been through here.

err... You came to the wrong side of the planet, madafakas?
>>
"Mark.", you call out to which your entire squad throws in an Ion grenade each into the enemy ranks that fill up this pocket of the canyon. Upon explosion, the droids shake as electricity surges through their metal bodies. They then either fall to the ground or remain standing, but their sensors and behaviour cores are all fried, so they're nothing but paperweight. Sierra squad advances onwards. "47 clankers now. What's your count, Ones?", Joker laughs through the comm.

"I'm sitting neatly at 48.", and to your surprise, Ones laughs as well. You haven't heard him laugh before. It's a kind of a weird laugh; sounds like he doesn't have his mouth open while he's laughing. In any case, the squad moves forward through the twisting canyon. There's not as many droids as you had anticipated, but you haven't reached Echo squad yet either. You put a round into a nearby battle droids head, sinking it to the ground. "Another one bites the dust!", Joker playfully cheer out when he and Mute kills off a Super Battle droid with their combined fire.

"Clear the comm", you order them when you round the corner of the nearby rocky wall. On the other side there's a firefight between a group of droids in front of you and what looks like one or two clones hiding behind a makeshift cover on the opposite side of where you and the droids are. You've reached Echo squad just in time. A perfect moment for an ambush. There are two Super Battle droids and seven battle droids standing in a somewhat scattered formation while firing upon what's left of Echo Squad. They haven't noticed you yet.

>How do you want to ambush them?

they double kicked Vong asses, they beated their warriors and they were "unpure" droids.

Sincerely SBDs can become a hard deal even to commandoes and ARCs if not dealt with quickly.

As a wise man once said, if bullets aren't enough, use more bullets. I assume plasma rounds are the same. If that doesn't work the old fashioned kill it with fire works too. As does nuking it from orbit or using a generous application of explodium to it.

Motioning with your fingers, you point at Ones and Joker and then mark the two Super Battle Droids. They nod and pull out an Ion grenade each. You shift your gaze over to Mute. he's waiting for your order with his disciplined finger on the trigger of his rifle, ready to squeeze it to fire. He knows what to do, so no need to tag the battle droids for him to understand what's about to happen. The firefight between the droids and Echo squad rages on while you count down from three with your hand and finger in the air. Once all fingers are down, you press your arm downwards, giving the sign for green light. Joker and Ones send out their grenades while you and Mute open fire at the battle droids, dropping one after the other with your precise barrage of shots. The SBDs each fall to the ground, both of their interiors fried from the grenades.

In silence, Sierra squad marches past the small platoon of destroyed droids until you reach Echo squad. Behind the makeshift cover you find the two last survivors of Echo squad, a Commando squad much like your own. The bodies of the two dead commandos lay in there with them as well. You immediately see what the real problem is though; One of them has a blaster wound in his chest and is constantly wheezing and coughing, trying to breathe. The other isn't exactly in a far better state himself; His legs and right arm are gone. From an explosion no doubt. It's a damn miracle that they've been able to fend off the droids for so long.

"Welcome, Four-Five.", the commander of Echo Squad greets you, "I would shake your hand, but you know?", he tries to laugh, but you can hear the pain in his voice. "We failed", he continues, "Six-Two here stepped on an enemy mine while we were making our way through the canyon and in the explosion, Seven-Three died and I lost some limbs.", he explains, motioning his blaster towards the two dead clones. His breath is ragged now. "It's over for us, Four-Five. Take my helmet and link up with its HUD; Finish our mission, brother."

And so you remove his helmet and link up with it. While the information surges through your HUD, the commando starts talking again, "Now shoot us."

"What!?", Joker exclaims in shock.

"You heard me. Shoot us. Fives over here is going to die and the Republic won't waste credits on three cybernetic limbs for a single commando. We're expensive, but not that expensive, and you know it, Four-Five. They'll patch me up and what then? I'll be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, doing paperwork for the Republic. That's not how a Commando should go out."

You stare him down in silence.

"Do it, brother!", he begs you.

The silence is heavy while your squad exchange looks and you stare down at the commander of Echo Squad, making your decision. You take a deep breath and drop the mans helmet to the ground before you press your chin down on the trigger, "Advisor, Echo squad is in a bad shape; One is dying of a blaster shot in his chest, possibly a burnt lung. He's having trouble breathing. The commander has lost his legs and his right arm. Requesting immediate medical assistance."

"Copy that, Four-Five. Sending a medical team over there now via a gunship. Command wants Echo Squads mission completed. Sierra Squad will take over if Echo Squad is compromised. Good luck out there, Four-Five." - and so ends the short briefing with Advisor. You look up at your squad standing nearby, "We've been assigned Echo Squads mission by Command. We're moving out.", and then your attention shifts back to the commander sitting in front of you, "I've called for medica--"

"Leave us.", he cuts you off, "You're no brother of mine.", his voice is poisonous and he spits at your boots in disgust. He checks the magazine for the blaster in his hand and lets out a loud sigh; It's empty.

CONT.
>>
>>37640905
Soon enough a gunship arrives and you order your squad to form up on you and move out. From the gunship you can almost make out the screams aimed at you from the commander. You catch "I hope you die!", from him. You don't look back. This was your decision and you are confident that you made the right choice. He is your brother and he will serve the Republic, one way or the other. It is the duty of all clones.

Your squad is equally quiet, the previous cheerful mood in Joker all but blown away. You re-check your HUD to remind you of your current mission; Make your way to an underground hangar where a scout at the start of the battle reported seeing seperatist droids and other shady figures. Sierra Squad are to make their way down there and report anything they find. It's a reconnaissance mission, of a sort. If it is what command thinks it is (a hangar for priority one seperatist profiles), you're job is to disable every ship in that hangar and eliminate any high profile target they can find.

Which objective will you make your main one?

This, just because a piece of equipment is all beaten up doesn't make it worthless. It can be salvaged or rebuilt, at worst it can be repurposed. Either way, shooting them just wastes our ammo and a significant amount of the republics investment.

Easy =/= cheap.
>>
>>37641081
They're pretty cheap actually, not to mention with Bacta/Kolto is already half done for them anyway. The one with the blaster shot to the chest would easily be able to get back up after 20 minutes of a Bacta injection.

Medication in star wars is really fucking advanced, and it doesn't seem like any quest ever realizes this.
>>
>>37641125
Yes, but I guarentee you the price of bacta is going through the roof as we speak, wartime efforts like this will be causing high draw on bacta production and the producers (I forget the origin off the top of my head), are definitely hardened capitalists. There was actually a war over it after the fall of the empire due to a pretty clever bioweapon being used (effectively a very severe flu that was cured with bacta, it was highly contagious and designed to waste bacta supplies to cause a shortage)
>>

Can I just say whiney mcbichtrooper is one little bitch? I mean damn if his entire worldview and ego was built on his warrior pride I'm amazed he even lived long enough to be saved. Hell the replacement cybernetics to get him back on his feet wont be shoddy either.

I felt guilty up until his little hissy fit. waste of genes if all he had to carry him was his attitude which was easily shattered. You'd expect a level of professionalism from a commando beyond that. Even the brutal ones like Mute have it. Dudes missing a fucking eye just about right now. All said and done though the squads morale took a hit there. When the squad's wiseguy isn't cracking jokes you know its bad. Might be worth keeping a pulse on their mental state, we're bred for war but it was probably jarring to see how badly things can go for a commando squad. I doubt they're even close to breaking point but I'd rather check.

Especially Joker, he took that deathwish request pretty seriously. And like I said, when the designated wiseass isn't being a wiseass its a sign of worry.

Sierra squad advances further into the canyon, not encountering any further droid or geonosian resistance. Upon reaching the outskirts of the tunnel, you notice that there aren't any guards or patrols outside of it. There's just a wide empty field between your squad and the tunnel's entrance. This doesn't feel right; If there's no guards the tunnel is either unimportant or the ones who want to protect it knows it's protected from something else than their military forces. A minefield is a big possibility, given how Echo squad got taken out and their hold-out was only a few clicks away from this location. It's either that or hidden turrets that activates when any unauthorized personnel or organic being comes close to them.

Whatever the case may be, a decision must be made. There's no way going around this field with only one entrance and you can't fly over it or detect mines with any of the equipment you have except trying to blow up mines in a single path or pattern, but that would draw too much attention.

Our purpose, our reason for being is to protect and serve the Republic, we can't simply give up when the going gets tough. That man will live to serve, perhaps not in combat, but he will serve. As will we all serve. Duty ends only in death, we are built to survive so we can do our duty for as long as we can and do it the best we can. He had a moment of weakness, that is all. He will learn from it and improve, as must all of us learn from mistakes. I'd expect the same from all of you in my moment of weakness, because I will have one someday. All of us will. What matters is that our brothers are there to keep us afloat, learn and better ourselves. We're in this together, and what these damn clankers haven't realized is that when you mess with one clone, you mess with all of his brothers. We will tear this planet apart and burn the Separatists from their hiding holes, win this war and have vengeance for everyone of us dead, wounded or broken. So let me ask you, are you with me?"

With stealth being crucial, you're not sure what to do in this situation. For every tactical decision you see flashing on your HUD or think of yourself, you can immediately name why it could end in disaster. Are you starting to question yourself? Maybe the sight of how Echo squad ended up affected you more than you thought it did. You realize that you're the commander of this squad, their leader. They follow your orders, but what happens if you give them the wrong order? Follow a poor plan? Don't react fast enough? They will die and so will you. In a way, you can't blame how Echo Squads commander felt. Even if you've only fought with these brothers for a hour or two now, they've grown on you.

"Any advice on how to cross this field, Commandos?", you ask, turning about to face your fellow clone soldiers. Mute takes a few steps forward towards the field and just stares at it. Ones thinks for a couple of second before responding, "I got nothing, chief." - when you turn to face Joker you notice that he's staring into the ground, "Joker?", you call out to him, catching his attention, "Yes, sir? Oh right, well, I...", he starts, but he isn't sure how to respond and you know it just as well as he does, "I don't know, Sir." and with those words, his gaze returns to the hard sand before him.

"Sniper attachment, Sir.", Mute suddenly says, "Optical sight. Check for mines."

>"Good plan, Mute."
>See if Joker is alright.

yeahhh its a bit much. If anything so far 45's been pretty punctual and doesn't mince words much. He's the type of man to rally a squad with a simple command and force of personality.

"Good plan, Mute. Get to it.", you order your commando and while he gets to work, you approach Joker who's standing a bit off the side. He's still staring into the sand, clutching onto his rifle. This isn't the Joker you grew up with nor the man that laughed about blowing up bridges, bragged about the count of clankers he has killed, or joked about scaling the wall of a tower filled with hostiles able to fly. No, this was a different side of Joker entirely. Is he the man Joker hides behind his smiles, jokes and laughter? Possibly.

"Joker, status report.", you start when you reach him, the words forming a question more than an order. He looks up at you. You can't see his face behind the helmet, but you get a feeling that he looks uncertain because that's what his words give away, "I'm not sure, sir; He-- he wanted you to shoot him. How could he just give up like that? How could things go so wrong so quickly?", Joker is upset, no doubt about it.

"It was just a mistake. Anyone co--", Ones cuts in, but Joker immediately loses it, "MISTAKE?! You know what? Fuck you, Ones! Not having a full magazine at all times is a mistake. Not checking in with command or your advisor when you need to is a mistake. Wanting to die, now that's a mistake. Stepping on a fucking mine? No, that's pure stupidity!", he doesn't scream, but he isn't exactly calm either, "Just, just leave me alone. With all due respect, sir. Fix this minefield, sir, and I'll get in gear."

>Press the issue with Ones.

Brothers in blood, brothers in war. I get his feelings though. Dudes just seen that even the impeccably trained commandos can fuck up if they let their guard down or get cocky.

He's right thought Echo Squad went down due to sheer fucking stupidity and bad luck. I fully get that but we're NOT Echo Squad and we're NOT a bunch of hotblooded idoits looking for glory.

I don't want to push him on it but we need to. Let him fester on this and he's going to rot inside. Have to figure out how to reach him.

He's not looking for reassurances right now. He's wanting to know why the best of the best in clone trooper standards fucked up so horrifcally. Echo Squad was lazy, unaware and above all took a COMPLETELY UNGUARDED location as a good thing and waltzed straight in. It was obviously a trap of the utmost worst kind and they blundered right into it.

I'm trying to think of how to. You have to take it the right way when they're in this sort of mindset. Trying to calm him down will piss him off, trying to reassure him about things will piss him off, hell just a word could right now.

We have to get it through his head that he ISNT Sierra Squad. And above all else we personally will NOT let him become that lazy and idoitic no matter how many bad jokes he makes and most importantly we won't break under pressure. Chief holds himself to a standard way above that blowhard's battle lust.

Gonna hamfist a writefaggot post shortly. standby and other anons pitch in. He's kind of delicate right now just keep that in mind.
>>
>>37643266
"I won't bother asking you calm down. We both know Sierra Squad not only failed but failed in the most basic of training. And what happened.

You. Are. Not. Sierra. Squad. You will not fail to understand the most basic of things and as if the force was making you get yourself or us killed.

Learn from it, even a commando dies if he forgets his training thinking he's a jedi swing archaic weapons around.

Now stop thinking about how they went wrong and get yourself together. I think I'll miss your jokes if you keep acting like this."

That might be the upper limits of Chiefs speaking though. I R HAMFIST WRITEFAGGOT.

Silence falls upon the squad once more, but you soon break it after putting your hand on Jokers shoulderpad. He looks up at you, not sure what his commander is going to do next; Order him to get his shit together? Lecture him that this is war and in war people die? Or was he going to do something else?

"You are not Echo Squad. WE are not Echo squad."

Joker's gaze is fixated on you now. You've caught his full attention. Good.

"Bad things happen in a war, we all know this. Fuck ups so large it makes a grand cruiser look small. But that didn't happen to us. It won't happen to us if we remember our training. WE are going to learn from what happened to them and improve. WE are going to complete the mission. But I need you, and Ones needs you, and Mute needs you. We conquer together or die alone."

Even Mute has started to listen to you now.

"If I or any of us ever have to face such a tragedy, we shall stand strong and vigil. What are we?"

"Brothers.", Mute instinctively says out loud.

"What are we?", you ask again, upon which both Mute and Ones respond, "Brothers."

"What are we?", and you place you other hand on Jokers left shoulderpad, looking straight at him now.

"Brothers.", Joker says, as proud as ever. You nod at him and step away from him. He reloads his rifle and salutes you, "I'm ready sir. To either get blown to pieces or follow you to hell and back!"

"Not necessary.", Mute cuts in, gaining the squad's attention, "Path. Through minefields. Found it."

"Good. Sierra, form up on me. Mute, lead the way."

And so, the four brothers in arms and blood make their way safely through the minefield and descends into the Seperatist Tunnel.

This is a wonderful SW quest. However it has an entirely different feel and play from Sith Apprentice Quest, which is what I think you're referring to, and as speaking as a follower of both, I love both yours and Brine's style of writing
I hope I don't sound as idiotic as I usually do
>>
>>37644279
Republic Commando was one of my favourite games, I always liked Clones and the CIS.

I was also listening to the soundtrack when I found the first quest thread.

Clearly the force wills it, and the number 8.
>>
>>37644355
Different tastes, I suppose. Good to have you aboard though!

>>37644385
Yeah, when I eventually did get around to start writing on this, I read through Sith Apprentice quest to try and get a different feeling.

Brine's quest is about building up power as far as I understand (I can be wrong of course), which can be awesome in itself, but instead of that I aimed for a quest where you're just trying to stay alive, keep your friends alive and win a war.

Clone wars seemed like a good pick for that idea.

I'm of the school of thought that sith and jedi are cults with way too much fucking power. They've literally manipulated most of star wars history or directly influenced it in their power struggle over the ages.
>>
>>37644619
Too fucking true.
>>
>>37644543
There is few jedi and sith that have no need for army
But they are closer to exceptions
>>
>>37644834
Well, yeah. But the Jedi at least work in service to the Republic and were highly regarded for their ability as mediators and diplomats. Part of Palpatine's overall plan was to force the Jedi to militarize and lose the peaceful members through attrition, destroying their public perception and making them the leadership of a slave army.
>>
>>37644993
Depends what bullshit powerlevel george wanted them to have at the time. You had fuckers like Mace Windu who kept being a total badass or nameless mook #15 who can't force jump for miles and gets surrounded.

Seriously its wacky how their strength levels vary so hard. You'd think with how mobile jedi/sith can be they'd have an easy time tearing through armies with superior mobility and force powers. Instead only you get to be awesome if you have a name on his script.
>>
>>37645069
Far as I could tell the jedi practically ran it via their mediations and diplomacy. hella easy when you literally mind warp people to your viewpoint. And the part where they rounded up every damn kid they could that had force sensitive to be raised in a damn cult. Pretty much brainwashing them.

The Sith weren't much better in most regards either. Hell they routinely killed each other until the advent of the master and the apprentice shit in the attempt to make a stupidly insane powerful sith lord/apprentice duo but I think that was EU madness and thus non valid in most senses. They ended up with the worse reputation since they kinda killed anyone who pissed them off or got in their way instead of brain raping them.
>>
>>37645073
I meant it as these guys that literally don't need armies for anything short of controlling whole galaxy
Guys like Luke or Nihilus
>>
wonder if sierra squad will meet any lore character in this quest?

talking with yoda would be cool.
>>
>>37645320
Well of course Luke was insanely strong he was a main character!

Trolljabs aside I guess fair point. movie logic still boggles my mind though. You got fuckers with insane powers to distort reality, and most of them can still get fucked up if the writer feels like it by some random trooper.

Eh. Its almost 40k tier plot armor in a sense I guess. maybe.
>>
what or who do you guys think we'll find down the in tunnel?

>captcha: AnyGo
>>
>>37645296
TCW(Canon) kept certain things like Darth Bane establishing the "only two" rule, though Palpatine's ambitions meant having a lot of "non-apprentice" dark force users all over the place, completely unaware of each other.

Historically, though, Sith rule only works through brutal oppression because it says that the only freedom possible is through taking it by force.
>>
>>37645443
Something to keep in mind with that last point is that the clones were intentionally made to be a weak point for the Jedi. They'd spend years leading them into battle, getting to know them and trust them with their lives, then BLAM! Blasters to your back.
>>
>>37646292
that's one of the reasons Palpatine wanted the clone wars to start; the jedi would be forced to become more militarized and work with the clones closely.
