You decide that the news that the Masters were also unable to locate Taral is a much more pressing concern than anything else. Several possibilities enter your mind, the most prominent two being that he had thought to hide of his own accord thinking that it would be better for your case if they could not question him or that your stalker may have abducted him, though whether that would be for good or for ill remains to be seen. The Academy itself is quite large and the wilderness outside of it is even larger, so you will need to focus your search if you are to have any hope of finding your companion.

>What do you do?

>Look on the roof, it's kind of obvious but many people might not think to look there.
>Search that abandoned classroom, it's a regular enough spot of yours that he might have thought to hide there so he could be found later.
>Search the caves in the desert around the Academy, it makes the most sense whether Taral was taken there or went of his own accord.
>Search your old training spot, Taral might have thought it would be logical as it would be the last place we would have taken the Masters.

You decide to search the caves just outside the Academy, realistically it makes the most sense as he would be able to stay out there as long as necessary if he chose to hide himself. Similarly if he was taken the chances of his captor being able to hide in the Academy are nominal. You begin to dedicate your time to searching the area for signs of Taral.

After about an hour of searching you find a cave that appears to have recent signs of activity, a mostly devoured carcass and what appear to be signs of a fire have been discarded along the inside of the cave. Unless Taral managed to create opposable thumbs for himself you doubt he is the one who started the fire which leads you to believe he is with someone. At least they've been providing him food. Other then that however you see no clear signs of where they might have gone.

>What do you do?

You focus and let the power of the Force run through you as you amplify your hearing.

"-but I can't tell you."

"It seems you can't tell me much of anything, especially not anything important like who you are, why you're here, or anything that's actually useful other then you've captured me to protect Xanth."

Taral mutters.

"I'm sorry... if I tell you I know you'll tell him, and if he knows anything about me he's going to ask a lot of questions and probably be really mad. I'm not even really supposed to be here. But if the Masters find you before Xanth does he'll be in a lot of trouble, so I have to keep you here until he finds us."

"You don't think he'll have questions and be really mad when he finds you've captured me?"

Taral snaps.

"W-well... I mean he will but those questions I can just keep quiet about, but if he knows... well he could ask those questions to other people and then the wrong people might notice. I'm just doing it to keep him safe."

The conversation seems to end there and they both fall silent.

Taral is a Tuk'Ata. If they are anything like terran canines, he'll have incredibly sharp senses of smell and hearing. He may have already picked up our scent and know we're here. MAybe heard us coming when we entered the cave 45 minutes ago (perhaps that's why he's kept her talking so far) So we just whisper slightly, let him hear us giving quiet instructions to keep her talking. To explain what questions it is she doesn't want to answer, who she is worried about us asking.

You stride into the cave with a slightly smug smile on your face and speak with a strange calm.

"Now how is it you're keeping me safe exactly? Was getting found part of your plan?"

The small robbed figure jumps up with a loud exclamation and backs up slightly.

"Y-You found us? Already? Wait crap my voice."

The figure says, her voice plainly feminine.

"I-I have no idea what you're talking about. Um I kept Taral safe for you... You can take him now and talk about the trial and stuff. Anyways I should be leaving."

The figure says with a nervous chuckle.

You say as you approach the figure.

"Nothing. The only thing I know is that she's the same person who has been following you and she still smells like you."

He says with a grumble.

"W-what!? I s-smell like you? O-oh gosh."

She says her voice trailing off.

"I don't have to tell you anything... you wouldn't hurt a little girl would you?"

You ask, your tone stern and commanding.

"What!? I'm not... I mean... I'm..."

She pauses, searching for an answer that will not come. She deflates then continues.

"I'm your half sister."

She mumbles.

I think it's pretty clear now that Languish is actually our mom, and Loric's and our sister's too, obviously.

I also think that, at this point, her modus operandi is to produce the toughest, strongest, etc., etc., sith warriors, which is why she kept Tharon being Loric's body guard a secret. If she tattled, then a superior specimen would have likely been put to death.
>>

It's kinda bs cheating that she had a bodyguard follow her son to the academy too, I wouldn't surprise she's keeping it quiet because she doesn't want to get bitched at for breaking a rule. She must have cared about Loric or else she wouldn't have had a bodyguard follow him in the first place.

Yeah, if she is a Padawan, she needs to go back to Jedi School. There's too much that can go wrong with her being here.

he didn't "happen to know" Tharon, Languish hired his ass. She must have picked out Tharon specifically to go with Loric, thinking Languish hired him for any other reason than to get shipped off to the academy with her son is dumb. And since she cared so much about Loric to break what is most certainly a big rule here in the academy, she must give a bit of a shit. And if she cared at all, she's gonna screw us if we trust her.

They were childhood friends or at least knew each other since childhood. She certainly sent him as a bodyguard but that seemed to be a happy coincidence more than anything. Plus it couldn't have been that much of a rule seeing as the only reason she didn't bring it up at the trial was because she thought he couldn't have been up to much if he got killed. She said it herself.

I'm just demonstrating healthy Sith paranoia. If she found out she had a Sith brother, she may well have felt compelled to make the trek. If she was Sith I'd expect her to be at least slightly more hardcore.

>>37804677
She was misleading us, lies are the bread and butter of the Dark Council. Or hell, she was telling us the truth about being interested in our progress, she's gonna watch us, and help us, and when we finally become a Darth she's gonna murder us. Tell us some cold shit like "That was for my son." when she does too. I'd do shit like that if I was an insane Sith Lord. I'd rather have nothing to do with her.
>>
>>37804719
>>37804683
Don't tempt Brine please?

Please?
>>
>>37804747
Or she was just telling the truth about everything because why bother lying to us? She could have carted us off right there and then to kill us in the most horrible ways she could imagine but she didn't. She probably could have stabbed us in front of everyone and said we made a go for her and she would have gotten away with it.
>>
>>37804829
Who are we to contemplate the motives of a dark god of the force? I don't know, it sure would feed her emotions if she allows herself to grow to care about us in order to gain more power from our brutal murder at her hands.
>>
>>37804877
Or maybe she wasn't too pushed because she is a crazy sith lady?
>>
THEORY: Loric, our sister, and I are all test-tube babies, each given different environments to grow in. Our sister was given to the Jedi, but is genetically engineered to basically betray them without her knowledge. She found out about this and is trying to stop it.
>>
>>37805196
Theory: Brine gave us the sister because we rolled for it and sperged like idiots and she has been shoe horned into the story.
>>
>>37805196
That's crazy, but I can imagine an insane Sith scientist doing it.

Trying to find the answer to the question "What lifestyle creates the most powerful Sith?".

If that's the case there's probably 500 of our siblings floating around, 2 for each scenario, both genders.

>>37805196

So which one of us got the dominant genes?
>>
>>37804677
>Doesn't being a sith mean do whatever the fuck you want and occasionally go fuck up jedi anyway?
No, the Sith here are part of a highly organized Empire. There is a heirarchy, and even if we don't try to advance we have a place in it...and our strong Force connection basically forces (tee hee) to get involved in the game.

>>37804545
>Do you guys actually intend on staying in the Sith order once we've finished our apprenticeship stage, or are you more or less wanting to keep the title while remaining a rogue element, doing your own thing on your own time?
I believe it bas already been confirmed that would be an excellent way to get hunted down and murdered. We need to be much stronger before we can get away with something like that.
>>
>>37805254
The character herself was present before the sister roll.
>>
>>37805254
Sounds about right.

Theory: People are going to try and waifu her immediately cause lolincest
>>
>>37805277
We won't say *no* to our superiors then, but we don't need to have the imperial insignia on our underwear.
>>
>>37805277
Isnt the game basically kill a few jedi and do whatever you want in the down time?
>>
>>37805354
>Implying this will be anything like the game.
We're not full Sith, after the academy we'd be apprenticed to a Sith, Sith Lord, or Darth. They'd be telling us what to do until we got full fledged.
>>
>>37805333
Oh, of course. I certainly don't give a fuck about the Empire. We do have a part to play though, at least for now.

>>37805354

>>
>>37805441

"Half? Explain. How did you find me? Why are you here? Do you know why the hell I was sold into slavery? And was the 'scary lady' you mentioned a certain Dark Council member or should I be expecting another visitor soon?"

Questions flood forth from your mouth in a torrent and the young woman shrinks away.

"It's... I..."

She grasps again but realizes the futility of her attempts.

"Okay... I should start from the beginning. My name is Allandra Worldbreaker. Like I said... I'm your younger half-sister. I'd only heard about you a few times before now... my... our father didn't like to talk about it and my mother would scold me if I asked. From what I know... my parents, our father and my mother married 'politically', it was good for both of them but they didn't love each other. Our father... he fell in love with another woman. I don't know anything about her, but they had a baby. That was you. Father tried to hide you but my mother found out... she had you sold into slavery so nobody could find out what happened. Our older sister is the one who told me about you... she might know more, but if she finds out that I'm here she'll be furious. One of my friends is here at the academy, she told me about this really strong apprentice and when I read your name I knew it had to be you. Um... I was mostly here just because I was curious... I managed to give my sister the slip in a space station and because of who our parents are I got onto a ship out here no problem, but I... stayed curious I guess, you were always in danger and I was worried you would die so I stayed. As for the scary lady I mentioned... that would be my... our sister. She's probably been searching everywhere for me and she'll find out I was headed here soon enough. She might already be on her way.... I'm sorry."

Do we give our lovely step-mother the Guts Grin now? Our father is apparently a weakling who can't control his wife and we had to suffer for it. Add +1000 to our rage meter we have a target for our anguish in the mine.

Somehow Worldbreaker and Skywalker are nearly synonomous with their meaning. Skywalker would imply of their ability to break away from the world that binds them by ascending into the sky and walk among the stars.
Worldbreaker would instead destroy the world in order to be free of their limitations.
It's eerily similar to the light and dark themes of the Force.
>Skywalker: Being free from your limitations peacefully
>Worldbreaker: Being free from your limitations violently.
>>
>>37806544
Worldbreaker is such an over the top name that she may very well be a Jedi badly pretending to be Sith.

Starkiller being the original last name for Luke.

Do you guys remember the timeline we're in in the Star Wars Universe? We are in the era of the Old Republic, where the Republic and Empire once were separate Political Beings that ruled their own half of the Galaxy. It's highly probable that this 'political' marriage was between that the republic and the empire.
In retrospect, this theory of mine is probably the most edgiest shadowrun thought out there.
>>
>>37806824
It's, cool. I'm just having a bit of fun. You are right though. My thinking that we might be related to a Jedi is almost definitely wrong.
>>
>>37806842
I doubt that, plenty of internal politics between the sith for two people to get married for.

Plus idk if a jedi would sell a kid into slavery.
>>
>>37806944
It is possible. Case in point: A Jedi decided on the basis of the Jedi code to kill Nivah's father which from the Jedi perspective is justifiable, Nivah's mother which broke the Jedi code of harming an innocent, and kidnapped Nivah which broke the code of respecting Nivah's life in the form of destroying her childhood and a prospect of a peaceful life with her family and a lovely childhood.
To reiterate the Jedi code:
>Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
>Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others.
>Jedi respect all life, in any form.
>Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy.
>Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
Nothing in the Jedi code supported the actions the Jedi who destroyed Nivah's childhood life. So Yes, the possibility of a Jedi selling a kid into slavery is possible if they are are zealous enough to blindly justify their actions with the Jedi Code.

Nivah's mom wasn't a Jedi, though, so the code doesn't really apply to her.

You ask, your tone less hostile then earlier.

"Um... I don't really know. Whenever I talked to father about it he seemed... distant. Sad. Our dad is a Darth... his name is Rollan... but he's known as Darth Pharos... he's kind of important, I don't know exactly what he does he won't tell us. Yes, her name is Lilus. She's twenty-four. You can't help but laugh when she comments that she'll get in trouble if it's found out that she's here. The idea is so 'normal' it's almost quaint to you. She seems a bit confused by the sudden burst of laughter that erupted from you.

"If 'trouble' was all I got at the mines it would have made me giddy. The idea is just... strange to me."

You explain. Allandra pulls down her hood for the first time and you get a good look at her. She skin is tanned like yours, apparently the tone is genetic and not just a factor of living under the sun for all your life. Her long hair is pulled back into a pony-tail and she looks up at you with forlorn eyes, she can't be older than fifteen years old.

"Y-you worked in a mine? Oh..."

It seems the full implications of your slavery had never really registered with the young girl.

"What do you plan to do now?"

You ask, changing the subject.

"Uh... I... I dunno actually. I guess I could try and go home avoiding my sister and blaming her for me getting lost or something... but I kinda want to stay... I hadn't thought much on what I would do next."

She mentions.

"Can you tell me anything about our Father's wife?"

You ask.

"Uh, her name is Maleev but she's known as Darth Vayne. I don't know much about what she does either, but I know her and father work together."

She says.

"Who is your friend at the Academy? I'll try not to kill whoever they are."

You ask.

"Oh, her name is Cael'la! We're penpals! Father said it would be good to try to make friends with political allies of the Sith so we started writing letters to each other!"

Immediately your eyes go wide.

>What do you say?

>Did Cael'la know who I was?

Master Vessa's Antagonism is gonna play out really interesting if we manage to get in correspondance with our father.

On the other hand becoming a bitch like Rodrick where we fall back on our daddy is gonna reflect badly on us in the eyes of Languish.

Of course we aren't going to be a bitch like Rodrik, we are NOT going to go high profile and flaunt our heritage because fuck heritages we were a slave despite our heritage. Keep your head strong and do what we usually do. Hell, lets ignore the fact that we have a heritage of being Darth Pharos's biological son. We make our own history and heritage, not rely on the history and heritage of our family since we are a bastard to them (our step-mother of course, our father not so much depending if he has the spine to admit he's happy for Xanth).
