>Summary:
You are Heracor Nahive, techpriest working as an escort for the mighty Commissar Oihan Alzador and currently in the Death World of Plinia Vesus to mitigate the riots and disturbs that the thousands of prisoners destined there are creating. Chaos cults have formed on the prison cities around the surface what once was just a simple mitigation has now become a full war.
>>
The travel towards the Headquarter felt long and anxious. You were pretty much the only one who was on the train besides the pilot and the servitors who took care of the rails and the vehicle. Your servoskull Morti floated next to you with his electrical prods creating arcs of blue electricity and humming in a soft and relaxing tone.

From your window you could see the giant Tartarus volcano ascending towards the sky and scraping the atmosphere while spewing smoke and ash, apparently it used to have a massive caldera inside but it freeze and became solid rock before imperial colonization, now just a few small bodies and rivers of lava cross it. You wondered if the Daemon was imprisoned there. With the battling and the warfare you haven’t started theorizing where it could be a sudden worrying sensation overcomes you.

After six hours of travel you reach your destination. The headquarter building is big and tall, decorated by gifted imperial artisans and sculptors but also surrounded by thick defensive walls and weapon batteries. Next to it a luminous and long spaceport awaited, there some ships where being analysed and refuelled before they went up towards the Cruisers up in orbit. Escaping with one of them crossed your mind, with your weapons you could try to hijack one and if anything failed you could always try to repair it. You pressed both hands in an attempt to avoid those coward thoughts, only when pain came from your shaking and still biological fist you stopped doing so.

After questioning some guardsmen and looking at the arrows painted in the walls you reached the Infirmarium, it was pretty crowded, seemed like the other regiments also attacked the other prisons, several field medics were here and there but no Sister Hospitalier was in your sight.

“You are not going to move from this spot Sister Ellenis!” You heard a cold and dull voice speaking loudly in an intimidating yet neutral tone in the distance.

“But Inquisitor there is other people who need my services, guardsmen who fought for the Imperium and are true humans…and not this Thing.” Her voice was sweet but it showed hatred and disgust when pronouncing the last word.

You walked towards the arguing and saw Lanky in a terrible state. Her entire body was strapped and tied in a painful looking way. Several parts were cut and forcefully opened with forceps. Her torso was totally open leaving her intestines exposed, parts of her thigh and bicep muscles were showing in the same manner, her skull had been opened with a saw, her bloody brain pulsating hard the moment you reached it. She was somehow still alive, luckily for you due to her restraints she couldn't see you.

Next to her were two persons, one was a tall and lanky man who only wore white, his hair was white, his skin was pale, his entire clothing was snow-like…even his jewels and imperial symbols were made of platinum, he seemed more a ghost than a real person. Next to him was a chubby and stacked Sister Hospitalier who dressed in a blood stained and full covering nurse outfit.

The pale man unholstered two finely crafted and detailed lasguns, one pointed at the Sister the other pointed at me, the two weapons aimed directly at our foreheads.

“You are part of my retinue Sister, I am sure those medics can take care of their patients…” He then looked at me with his icy blue eyes “And who are you?”

Welcome back heracor. I'm just glad this is my day off and nothing but free time for a change.

All gots open right now is you and CM running. getting mah purge on.
>>
>>37815410

>Be honest, tell them about her being a clone and what happened on MegaPrison 03’s destruction.
She clung to the emperor the entire time. It was commendable and the information she provided was very helpful in the fight. She also was rightfully terrified of whatever that...... thing was.
>>
>>37815410
>Be honest.

As much as I feel for lanky its obvious if she survied THIS much she's warpspawn and tainted. This is begging for Noctum's return/possession to finish his task in Khornes name if we dont end her suffering.

Hell I felt for lanky when I assumed she was human. We learned otherwise. Plus it might be best to properly introduce ourselves to the Inquisitor and explain what has transpired. He'd only become enraged if we lied to him now and discovered later we DID lie.

You don't fuck with the big =][= and expect to live long unless you plan on going full heresy. We ain't doing that. Not unless we're literally backed into a corner.

>Be honest, tell them about her being a clone and what happened on MegaPrison 03’s destruction.

You shuddered in fear. Tales and legends about the powerful inquisitors were heard even if backwater planets like the one where you were spawned.

"M-Mr.Inquisitor please let me introduce myself. I am Heracor Nahive, techpriest from the planet Telematha and now working as a escort for Commissar Oihan Alzador. This...subject here was found after a scouting mission towards the now purged MegaPrison 03. After a brief interrogation she gave us information in exchange of protection. We sent her towards Outpost Delta and after a brief examination we dictated that the Sister Hospitalier here, would be the best option to threat her terrible wounds. "

You quickly glared at her, she looked back scowling, she was full of hatred for being assigned a nonhuman patient.

"After the scouting mission the Commissars decided that pacification was non-viable and a cleansing would be needed. We sent troops and attacked the Prison, after managing to kill it's leader all the convicts committed a ritual suicide and from their corpses a Dae-"

A hard and incredibly painful strike hit you, it didn't hurt in your body but your mind, massive migraines storming your delicate brain. The Inquisitor hit you with what seemed like a torture instrument, he quickly kept it inside his clothing once again and then spoke softly.

"Go on..."

After standing up and feeling dizzy for some minutes you managed to continue, albeit stuttering from time to time.

"After the attack we started exploring the place and found more..." You hid your mouth with your hands and spoke softly while looking at both sides "heresy. We also discovered vats were clones were being formed, they were weak and soft but after being killed they ate their dead and that made them even stronger"

>OFF: Those pics aren't the Inquisitor but are a reference for how he looks.
>>
>>37815454
But her surviving and joining the Imperium even though she was born to be a pawn of Khorne will piss Khorne off to no end.
>>
>>37815629
I'd agree if we didn't possibly have the spirit of a would be deamon prince on the loose looking for a new meat puppet to host itself. Lanky is the last possible option after our actions at Megaprison 03.

I'd rather not have to sink HQ into the magma sea to kill the thing twice. We won that by virtue of insanely unstable terrain. Emperor blessed us.
>>
>>37815708
Simple fix, we war he off. If he keeps after her he can't try anyone else.
>>
>>37815717
ward her off* And maybe fill her chamber with explosives.
>>
>>37815708
I had it in mind. If her spirit is successfully reinforced (like the hospitaliers were SUPPOSED to do) she could resist possession. And then Khorne hits the nearest daemon in rage do to being foiled in such an unbloody way.
>>
>>37815734
>>37815717
Thats if the inquisitor here just doesn't kill her. Which I won't stop because I'm not dumb enough to piss him off. He seems pretty hardcore so far. he could be a radical that'd like her for study however...
>>
>>37815608
"I am fully aware of that" He answered, then grabbed a immaculate napkin and dragged it across the most fresh blood of the Sister's outfit, the napkin then went towards her nose so the rusty smell of the blood punched into her sense.

"NNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!" She screamed in response, heartbeat going crazy fast and being audible even with your ears not activated.

No matter how much she tried, she was unable to move at all.

"The effect is even more potent if applied directly onto the stomach."

With a simple glare directed towards the Hospitalier she understood and gave him a syringe full of blood. He didn't hesitate to stab her stomach and pump the sanguine liquid inside.

Lanky’s body went into a rage and cellular frenzy. Her muscles became bigger and it was visible how her wounds started closing, even breaking the forceps as they did.

“It will be the third time now we have to make a Y incision on her…” She muttered under her breath, clearly nauseated from her patient."

"This abomination should be thankful for being let alive for so long. You did the Emperor's work by eliminating those mutant clones. Are you there to finish your job?"

"Well..." You muttered.

>"I was hoping to talk with her personally. She has to know what her true nature is."
>"Indeed. My duty was to finish with all the population of MegaPrison03 and until she's not dead I won't have served my Commissar and our Emperor."
>"I have another mission Sir. I want to study this subject and learn more about it."
>Free action.
>>
>>37815766
On the other hand, maybe killing her is also the wrong answer in that it gives Noctum a spark of life, which then allows to heal himself.
>>
>>37815802
>"Indeed. My duty was to finish with all the population of MegaPrison03 and until she's not dead I won't have served my Commissar and our Emperor."

That pretty much settled it for me. Eventually Lanky would go chaos if this is how it works. and then becomes perfect host for Noctum.

Maybe say a farewell but its better killed and whatever soul she had saved instead of being noctums meatpuppet/cocksleeve. I refuse to let her suffer that fate. No amount of holy waters gonna stop it coming either.

I don't like it but this is the kind of stuff you don't fuck around with and make hard choices on.
>>
>>37815802
>"I have another mission Sir. I want to study this subject and learn more about it."

There was a wrongness that seemed to shift when the island was assaulted. The..... monster.... gained strength from bloodshed. Given the mutancy in sight 4 and the planetwise rebellion I am afraid, this is symptomatic of something......... worse. I wish to make sure that whatever this is does not further escalate. However I will defer to your authority Inquisitor.

Same poster. To clarify, I'm not for killing Lanky, maybe. that was a lie (maybe) to have him think he has no more business here.
>>
>>37816004
We're going to have to deal with him. we literally saw it first hand. I'm really against trying to bull shit him.

He'll probably leave us be after this encoutner all the same. He has his duty and we have ours. Once he's done questioning us here he'll likely move on to question Oihan and our strike team that went to the prison.
>>
I wonder if we could replace Lanky's stomach a la mechanicus bionics?
>>
>>37816054
Wasted effort unless
A. She's loyal (shaky after them treating her like this)
B. She survives the trials of this world. (very unlikely given her current state.)
>>
>>37816072
A is possible, just loyal to us rather than the Imperium.
>>
>>37816090
She'd still be a bloodthirsty clone then, not a good idea.
>>
>>37816111
Still, I actually wonder what effect removing and replacing her stomach would have. Would she be unable to trigger the blood power-up like the other clones? Would it be harder for Noctum to use her as host?
>>
>>37816154
That's a question best left to the inquisition doing such experiments ourselves would...look rather bad. Hell probably even suggesting them given how this guys been so far.
>>
>>37816154
Still satisfying curiousity is a waste for augmetics. Especially if she isn't loyal.
>>
>>37816182
That might not have been a problem if it wasn't for the inquisitor showing up with other plans. Starting to think we should have taken her under our wing instead, then we'd have full authority over her and how to experiment. Leave it to the Imperium to make one question their faith in the competences/trustworthiness of their co-workers.

You spit.

"Well the elimination of all those mutants is now part of my project of bringing light into this shinning yet dark planet. I am thankful of you dealing with the Heresies that happened on that place but we cannot discard the fact that you could be one of them or be also tainted...Ellenis, take care of the subject and make her be alive at all cost. I will take my guest here and ask him a few questions"

She looked worried, not for having to deal with Lanky but worried for your well being.

"Yes sir" She muttered with a sight.

After another quick glare two guards came and grabbed you by the arms. They needed to do some effort to break the magnetic hug of your soles with the metallic floor but after that they quickly handcuffed and dragged you around. Those men had to be partially bionic like too. No non-augmented human could be able to raise and move so easily after all the weight that your metal formed components added to your frame.

They guards had a plasma pistol in their free hands, they pressed it against the sides of your head, the heat and intense buzz surrounded you, on your nape another cannon, the Inquisitor was pressing one of his laser guns against the back of your head. There was nothing you could do.

After relaxing your body and stopping offering resistance a heavy shock hit you as one of them used the butt of his pistol to knock you out.

>>

>>
>>37816245
You couldn't remember much more during the rest of the trip. After a indeterminate amount of time you woke up with a rusty and sharp edged chain firmly tied around you and thousands of cables entering in all your sockets and insertion plugs, your body was tied against a chair and there was nothing but darkness all around you.

"//What's your name?//" Said a voice from a unknown origin.

"W-wha?" Before you could ponder a potent energy shock traveled from the cables towards your spine and flesh. It burned your electronics, your weak flesh and your mind, your chest had spasm in response and the chain started scratching and damaging both your skin and your metallic covering.

"//What's your name?//" Asked the voice again.

"Heracor Nahive!" You yelled. There wasn't any pain this time.

//"Where do you come from?"

If you tried to use your ear bionics you were punished with a long and high pitched screech. There was no way you could locate the voice now.

"Forge world Telematha. It's in the Aethaius Sector!"

"//What kind of relationship do you have with subject MC-MG03-000001?//"

"Who?" You asked desperate.

Another hard shock, smoke started appearing from your joints and connections, your lenses failed for a second leaving you blind.

"//What kind of relationship do you have with subject M//C-MG03-000001?//"

It could only be Lanky.

"I rescued her and then discovered she is a clone!"

"//What do you know, about Daemons and Chaos?//"

You doubted, they killed Haxmas for knowing too much and you were sure he wasn't the only one.

>Free action. Choose well your words.

There was a long silence after your long and uninterrupted speech. Some steps could be heard and then and gaunt and young girl of about eight years appeared from the dark and stepped in front of you. She wore a strange looking helmet that covered her eyes and forehead, her lips were bit and she seemed to still have most of her milk tooth on herself.

With some struggling she managed to climb onto your legs and then placed her tiny fingers on you forehead. Warm started coming from her palms and you felt a curious tingling on your brain.

Out of nowhere a psychic explosion blasted between you and she, just like what happened when Elyadien tried to blast your mind too. You fell on your back and the chains started cutting and digging into your back and naked skin but she suffered a worse fate.

Her petite frame flew backwards and hit her neck on the cold and hard ground when impacting. No blood started pouring from her but the sound of broken bones and her twitching body indicated that she was now paraplegic.

The lights suddenly went on and both the Sister and Inquisitor next to his goons entered in the room in a hurried manner.

"My daughter!" Cried the hypocrite puritan Inquisitor looking at the young psyker knocked out. "Can you save her!?" He screamed towards the Sister.

"UNLESS WHAT??" Rodan yelled at her.

"Unless we get help of the Mechanicus to build her a bionic substitute."

He looked at you with anger, his eyes were all watery and red. They looked like two orbs of fire and pure rage in contrast with all her white attire, then he simply nodded.

One of the two guards used his chainsword to cut the chain sending a loud and bright shower of sparks as he did.

>"You better save her blank techpriest..."

We're a fucking BLANK? I should of realized back at the mega prison! The psyker himself said there was a mist enhancing aggressive thoughts and we never suffered a single one...

Maybe once we're doing saving her we explain we have no idea what the hell a blank is. and apologize profusely for nearly accidentally killing someone with our apparently magic brain.

Blank.
Sure, that's why.
We're a blank, yessiree. No other reason this happened.

>>
>>37816914
You mean antimagic brain? I wonder if this is because of the chip or not. Natural blanks have a sort of disturbing aura that makes people uncomfortable around them. Psykers especially.

Of course such an aura might not be noticed next to the robotic psudoautisim that we usually exhibit.

Which is possibly why we've never realized it. but even our biochip wouldn't ward off the warp entirely. we should of felt somekind of bloodlust at the prision if it was only the biochip.

That...is a pretty good reason for all the mysterious shit around us. We're either a natural blank that fluked into techpriest, valuable asset. Or the ad mech used us as an experiment to try and create an artificial blank. And maybe pulled it off.

All I got right now.

>Gather all the Medics and Biologis techpriests to study and build a suitable bionic substitute.

Carefully you transport her upwards with the help of the Sister and the guide of the guards, the Inquisitor stood in the same basement he locked you upon sobbing softly.

As the group ascended you started messaging every Magos and Techpriest Biologis, explaining the situation, then a second row of comms directed towards the medics.

On the upper floors the rumble of buzzing cogitators receiving the message and feet starting to run towards the operation room became more and more audible as they got closer to the Chirurgi rooms.

The destined location was a big room as white and sterile as the interrogator was, it had an operation stretcher and around it a sacred and complex machine with remotely controlled dendrites that had all sort of medicae utensils.

After placing the small girl they removed the helmet only to discover that she lacked eyeballs, everybody there professionally ignored this and carefully turned her to make the mind reading kid lie on her flat stomach.
Her spine was curved and bent in a disgusting way. The last thing you saw before moving away and working on the bionic placement was how they stripped her from any clothing to work more freely.

Since you lacked the vast knowledge of those biologis and medics you became part of a smaller group who received feed from the patient and decided what the best option for her broken body was.

There wasn’t any time to lose; you needed to work fast and efficiently. With their help you managed to create a good yet sturdy substitute that gave her vertebrae a correct posture and acted as a repeater with her weak electrical brain connections, making the communication between her brain and her legs possible if clumsy.
>>
>>37817038
HAHAHAHAHAHA
>>
>>37817298
The spine is not perfect but it was the best that could be created in such an emergency. She would need to twist the screws installed on her spine so it could expand a little bit and let her grow. Otherwise she would end having adult head and libs but her torso would be as big as it is now. She would look deformed; maybe her father wouldn’t be so patient and shoot her this time.

It took five long hours to operate her. The Inquisitor didn’t appear in that neither time nor he would do it the rest of the day.

After that they sedated her and everybody went to sleep, it was about four AM. You suddenly found yourself in a place were the only company that you could somewhat trust was the one of a Xenos…

Sorry for taking so long. I've had some stomach pains and needed to make myself some tea to soothe myself.

Thanks! I gotta tell you thought that the first threads are worse in my opinion. English isn't my first language so I made some typos and confusing sentences. I now use Thesaurus and some guides so it isn't so shitty.

I've noticed. you've made alot more attempt at since your readers showed you what a real description of a deamon prince is like! English and its millions of descriptive words eh?

You're coming along fine since those early ones.

>Try to do your mission, go and talk with the Skitarius.

The last time you went and saw the Skitariis they were training at late hours of the night, you hopped this time they did the same.

As you walked you noticed that the corridors were pretty empty with the exception of some half asleep stationary guards who did their routes in a almost subconscious manner due to the repetitive and monotonous nature of the task they were assigned.

The Eldar would have no trouble to sneak past them even if she weren't disguised. You wondered what kind of actions she has done around there...Maybe she could become a exchange coin with the Inquisitor to gain his trust.

Entering into the Skitarii training grounds was slowly becoming something you were starting to get used to. So far you entered into the grounds of your homeplanet, the Cruiser and this planet. All of those three areas were different but they all gave you the same sensation.

You felt stronger and empowered by the powerful guns and armor that the strong warriors of the Omnissiah wore.

This time the place was a cube filled with holes on the floor, walls and ceiling. There was a control room next to it with two panels, one with 600 numbered buttons that corresponded with the holes and the other with different colored buttons that you didn't knew what they did.

Since the place was open and empty you decided to tinker for a little bit. Ending training there wasn't so out of place and knowing what to expect was always a good advantage.

You pressed the blue button and it started glowing but nothing else happened, after that you pressed the red one but the only thing that changed was that now the red button was the one that glowed instead of the blue one. You decided to see what would happen if you pressed one of the numerical switchs.
>>
>>37817605

Do not worry on my account, english is not my first language either
>>
>>37817859
A conical projectile flew from the selected hole and exploded in a shower of rock before reaching the other side of the room.

You then pressed the blue one back and selected the same number, this time a bullseye appeared.

It was easy. The colors were the type of object that would appear, the numbers where it would appear from. After some testing you discovered it went like this:

>Blue
Bullseye

>Red
Rock projectile

>Green
Fire

>Yellow
Weak powered taser

After some time having fun and looking at the different combinations you heard a mechanical and deep voice on your back.

"Are you done having fun and misusing this machine spirit?"

It was a short yet intimidating looking warrior whose armor and bionics were so thick and strong that her robe was barely able to cover her.

After your stunned silence she spoke again.

"Seems like you understand the controls and that the machine spirit has responded well to your commands. Tell me, do you dare to enter and let me train you or you prefer to test me?"

>Let her get in the controls and enter in the Training Cube

>Let her get in the controls and enter in the Training Cube

You better let her control it, she’s more veteran and adept after all. This is not a combat training but agility and dodging one, you leave your weapons outside and enter wearing nothing but your armor.

After you go in the mechanism closes the cube, around you there is nothing but thin holes able to shoot different things from six different directions. First she sends to you differently located bullseyes, with the help of your magnetic boots and some jumping you manage to cut them using your hidden sword, it’s been even ten minutes and you are already sweating.

“Not bad, let’s now start the real training.”

Suddenly the room fills with electrical whips from all directions, sometimes at the same time. You cannot always avoid them as they are attracted towards your metallic parts and curve in their direction.

Your legs start to fail, your lenses fail once more, training after being tortured and working for hours wasn’t the best idea…

After that she activates the fire cones, you weakly roll on your side, part of your red coat gets on fire, you end putting out the fire with your strong feet but the moment you distract to do it she shoots two rock bolts at your chest.

One breaks, the other gets painfully lodged on your fleshy shoulder.

As you fall down she ejects one last bullseye that impacts you on the face, knocking you down.

You wake up the next morning with a small performance diagram and how many time you lasted inside. The diagram was pretty poor and it stated that you only lasted twenty minutes. There is also a scolding comment about how being knocked down by the only non-hazardous element was something kind of shameful…oddly there was a smiley face next to the comment.

You look at your surroundings and notice that you aren’t in the same Infirmarium where Lanky was destined, this place had Mechanicum symbols and architecture style, and it was obviously the recuperation room for the members who needed to rest after training or being modified and grafted new bionics.

“Good Morning”

The greeting came from a skinny skitarii whose coat was open and had various holsters and pistols all across his chest. Three rows of pistols were hanging from his harness; the first one had two pairs of plasma pistols, the second one auto pistols and the last one laser pistols. All his guns were unique and decorated, his belt and free spaces were filled with ammo pouches.

It face was remarkable too, it wore a crystal mask that covered all his face and part of his head and reflected light and images, his headgear seemed to generate its own light but after a better look one could notice that it wasn’t the case, it’s surface was so polished that it reflected all the dim lights of the room and focused them all into such a small surface.

“Name’s Konterus. I’m the Grand Skitarii of this place. What does a little chum like you do there?”

>Tell him the truth and your mission.

"I am..." You say with pain still in your stiffen body "Heracor Nahive, techpriest and escort of Commissar Oihan Alzador, destined now to the Outpost Delta."

"Nice to mettya Heracor. You aren't a Skitarii right? Yet you have some nice toys in there~" Konterus laughs and gives you your weapons.

"Well, no. Technically I am not a Skitarii.."

"You are not weakling either, feel free to ask for a challenge to become a true Skitarii at any time. Any techpriest knows that this planet means danger and the only way of overcoming danger is becoming more dangerous and powerful than your foes. Anyone there can inscribe for the trials."

"How are those trials?"

"We dump you with a compass in some part of the planet, you simply need to return, two servoskulls will accompany you, one to check your health and the other to monitor your movements."

"Y-you did that trial?"

"Hell yeah. The Machine Spirit of my compass abandoned me after a ionic storm and I just wandered until I found the train tracks, following them only led me to a Prison...It's funny I cannot remember its number now. Anyway I wouldn't survive the way back so I adventured inside. I somehow managed to sneak into some shadow and water sources to recover myself. I ended being discovered and that's when everything turned dead fast and violent. I started shooting convicts left and right PEW PEW!! but they kept coming, after a hour of skirmish I had no more ammo but a Chimera just came to rescue me..."

He grabbed two of his guns and quickly upholstered them, did some fancy tricks before getting them back into their sheaths.
>>
>>37818994
"I promised myself I wouldn't get without ammo no more, and loot at me. Now I have become a one man army!"

After some seconds of silence he continued speaking

"Well after becoming the Grand Skitarii and focusing my combat abilities into gunslinging I didn't did much besides training the new recruits"

His voice seemed kind of dull, like if he were bored of that.

"I might have something for you Konterus. A mission"

It seemed then that its eyes shined even more than his helmet.

"Do tell."

"There was a laboratory under the AdMech cathedral on MegaPrison03 that created heretical machines and weapons. It seems that it might not be the only one." You suddenly remembered the blueprints you saw in there.

"Holy warpamole."

"I'm trying to build a team to explore and destroy those labs. Are you with me?"

"You betcha kiddo!"

"Get me your ten best Skitarius. I will say were will we start."

He seemed dumbfounded "Waitwaitwait. You are not going to be the leader, I will."

"Commissar Oihan has granted me permission to leader this team."

"Commissar Oihan is part of the Imperial Guard, I am not a member of the Imperial Guard. There are two way of solving this...We can contact the Administratum and wait for fifty years to solve this or we might duel and let the winner be the leader...do you have a time limit to accomplish your mission?"

"I think not, albeit doing it in the shorter time is advisable."

"I will give you one week. You will have full access to these grounds and the weapon and bionic crafting stations, after one week we will duel and the winner will be leader. Do you accept?"

>Yes.

Konterus will need some time to gather its team, inform them and also manage to get the necessary vehicles, weapon and ammo. About 38 hours.

You won't have enough to do all that so prioritize your time.
>>
>>37819247
Upgrade our sword and see that Lanky won't be a problem, either secured and working towards actual spirit strengthening or dead. We can check on the eldar when we get back I suppose.
>>
Man I get caught up getting my smite on in that Chapter Master game and you guys get pegged in the face by a techpriest dangerroom, maybe accidentally get a secret admirer AND finally get our mission underway.

Given our current state (beat da fuck up) We might want to rest and just train afterwards. we barely know how to use our current bionic wargear. That and our conditioning is pathetic if that training room showed us ANYTHING.

So I dunno. a rest to recover a bit, followed by letting everyone laught at us as we do a wonderful rendition of "Geek trying to exercise"?

Plus I think our sword already counts as a powersword. And if I remember my fluff... force weapons demand a little psionic ability. I'm gonna doublecheck that via lexicanum but if I'm right and Heracor IS a blank he probably can't use such a thing.

One moment while I see if I'm a moron or not!
>>
>>37819352
Annnnd I'm wrong about that seems like. Basic power weapons use technology. We could totes do that. maybe. depends on how long such an upgrade to our bionics would demand.

>No, he seems like a good leader, you will be good under his command.

"No, that's way too much time. You seem like a good leader. Please accept me at your command."

He simply nodded and stood up.

"I'll need some time to gather the rest of the team, no time for introductions, you will meet them once we are on our way"

After the chat and resting for some time you felt good enough to walk, the bandages fell short after and in the impact hole there was not a circular scar and a purple bruise. Moving that arm was painful but nothing he couldn't endure.

"As I said feel free to use our machines" Said Konterus as a farewell.

The Admech ward of the HQ was formed by six different parts:
>Cathedral
>Garage/Workshop
>Crafting forges
>Training grounds
>Infirmary
>Dorms

You were now on the Infirmary. Urmo would probably be on the Dorms or the Cathedral, maybe you could visit her. On the Garage/Workshop you could improve and repair your gear and learn about vehicles. The Crafting forges had cogitator databases and sacred servoarms that could construct anything on stored in their memories. On the infirmary you could rest and be grafted new bionics.

Its all good. we kinda need ot hammer out a plan to use this downtime on.

Okay so the mission parameter was to take a task force of skitarri and explore the crystalline underdark in search of rogue techpriests selling wargear to the rioters.

Expected conditions are cramped underground indoor fighting and possibly a few larger factory areas unless we stumble into something massive. Also rogue techpriests and whatever shit they're cooking up. they made the cloning vats so they have a biologis magos with them or something like that.

So ideally prep for close combat encounters. all this talk of a power sword is probably a great idea. the real question is. do we manufacture one to hold in our hand or upgrade our holdout? Meltagun as part of the kit wouldn't hurt either.

After that rest and maybe some physical training. We really need to work on Heracor's stamina if he only lasted 20 minutes in the danger room.

Ah nuts. well I'm just brainstorming here for now.

Don't worry about getting better gear. My intention is giving the chance of getting new toys and bionics at the end of each "arc". For example in Novice Heretek 7 all the thread was about him getting upgraded before the boss fight.
>>
>>37819702
>Improve and repair your gear/learn about vehicles

What kind of utility does a powerful weapon if you don't know how it works and how to handle it? You need to follow the true path that you were taught. The people of the Dark Age of Technology handled way too powerful tech and it backfired leading to incredibly big losses. Step by step is the good way.

You head towards the Garage and see many vehicles there. Some are purely part of the Mechanicum but others are from regiments of the guard who have been way too damaged for them to repair themselves. In the hull of a Leman Russ there were thick clawing marks that crossed the vehicle from side to side and were deep enough to reach and cut the crew inside...

Something similar was on the Workshop, there was some kind of funerary ritual were dozens of cut and pierced lasgun lied surrounded by sacred oils and incense. Their wounds were similar to the ones of the tank...

There were empty tables with all the necessary tools and servitors and servoskulls lying around to help any techpriest in anything it could need.

The rest of the members worked hard and ignored you, they seemed to be pretty busy after the battle that clawed all those vehicles and weapons. The familiar sound of sawing, welding and pistons overwhelming you with joy. The darkness illuminated only by the red hot metal and the forges. The smell of oil and sweat. For the first time in a long time you feel at home.

What would you do:

>Vehicles:
-Learn how to pilot a Leman Russ
-Learn how to pilot a Chimera
-Learn how to pilot a Omega Drill (ALREADY DONE)

>Crafting:
-Try to create the power sword.
-Try to improve your weapons with the spare pieces and components.
-Try to improve your armor with the spare pieces and components.
-Try to improve your bionics with the spare pieces and components.

>Others:
-Ask about what happened with the tanks and lasguns.
-Help the most busy techpriestrs
-Free action.

>>
>>37820272
Okay thinking on it I'll take
>Try to create the power sword.
And
>Try to Improve your armor

Those are going to be the most useful considering we're riding the tunnel network most likely in omega drills. Our current guns are pretty damn good and I'm not sure if we can do something extensive as upgrade the bionic armblade by ourselves here.

>Try to create the power sword.
>Try to improve your weapons with the spare pieces and components.

You quickly access the blueprints on your mind and cheek the instructions to create the sword, you might also try to apply those to your current armblade instead of creating another sword. The Blueprint goes like this:

//||\\ Crude power swords //||\\
+Handle
+4 power packs
+Grip
+Magnetic blade
+Cables
+Catalyst

You'll have to work quietly and not stand out a lot, even if these blueprints are pretty technical they could be considered heresy by some members, being a outsider didn't help either...

The first material is a handle. After searching for some time you found it under a box labelled as "To be melt", you were sure they wouldn't miss it. It looked like a bike handle, it had a nice silicon grip and a brake that would work as a handguard. You checked both handle and grip from your mental list.

Getting the power packs was pretty easy, you just stole them from the people who were working with lasguns and weren't looking at the time. You didn't stole more than one power pack from the same guy so their punishment didn't became way too harsh. Power Packs, check.

You already had a blade, sheathing it off revealed it was bolted, after standing for half a hour and finally asking a servitor to unbolt it you discovered that it wasn't magnetic. Not wanting to waste more time searching for a magnet powerful enough to magnetize the blade you just sat down and raised your legs, placing the blade between the soles of your feet while applying the magnetic powers that they had. It was a pretty awkward posture and even the emotionless servitors looked at your weirdly but you didn't cared much. Magnetic Blade, done.

Cables were lying here and there. You were kinda in a hurried state so your hands just grabbed a bunch. Better have way too many than to be short. Cables, checked.

Catalyst...What kind of catalyst? At your reach you had one from a lasgun. Will do.
>>
>>37820804
You started working on the sword and after a hour or so managed to create it. Then you had to broke it down because you discovered that the handle and grip weren't necessary, that your arm already had the necessary cables.

Somewhat angry at yourself for wasting time you ended installing the blade with its new catalyst and modifications. If all went good It would get the properties of both the electrical sword and the power one.

>Roll 1d100
0-25: The sword doesn't fuses well and while it has both properties both are very weakened. You have crippled two machine spirits, feel bad. (( Loses the energy steal ability ))
26-50: The machine spirit of the electrosword overpowers the power sword one. He regains his original electrical powers and slightly the power ones.
51-75: The new machine spirit overpowers the ancient one. The sword becomes a true power sword but also has some electrical properties. (( Loses the energy steal ability ))
75-100: Both machine spirits synergy perfectly. The sword gets both power and electricity on its blade. It now deals really powerful slashes that might stun or paralyses the enemy.

You installed the blade and feel it vibrate. From time to time it expelled force and/or electrical arcs. If you sheathed it now it would surely make your entire arm explode.

At first there was only pure and crude power on the blade, then the electricity started kicking back, after the fist five minutes of switching force and electrical surges they started coming at the same time, they at first clashed and sent my arm swinging violently, I even felt like it was going to fly straight and rip out of my shoulder. Finally both spirits ended understanding that they were equally powerful and that fighting together was better than against each other.

It turned into a blueish color and started crackling in energy like the power fist of Oihan did. This blade seemed to be more tame and less powerful thought. After it was done it sheathed itself and refused to obey your commands, any intent of communicating with them was denied, all you could feel from them as a heavy and wild compenetrate sensation.

0-25: The Armor doesn't loses efficacy but becomes even more movement restricting, also loses the ability to generate energy.
26-50: You just clean and maintain it. No improvement nor loss.

75-100: All the pieces and tools around you have a perfect use for your armor. You make it a little bit more lightweight and less movement restricting while keeping its defense rates. You also improve its connections and mechanisms. ( +5 energy generation )

Finally both spirits ended understanding that they were equally powerful and that fighting together was better than against each other.

You've been blessed by intelligent players who work with each other instead of hating each other Heracor enjoy it. Its hellaciously refreshing to have a playergroup that can agree on something.

It could be worse alright. hell I just poked into orc warlord quest the place is a borderline shitstorm right now. And the stuff they argue about is....gah I don't even. Not sure I want to even. ever.
>>
>>37821713
Want a real shitstorm try Sith apprentice quest during the trial, or False Dendrite quest. Though we have been blessed with moderate numbers of reasonably intelligent players. The larger the playerbase the greater the chance for discord over the smallest things. Thank goodness Fiddlekins made that aug spread sheet when we were upgrading. That let us sidestep any arguments fairly quickly.

I just sorta went. "Huh. Okay, machine spirit shenanigans" and didn't even realize it was basically digisex.

Hah. okay. thats just kinda funny.
>>
>>37821523
You analyzed the armor and detected some small design flaws on it. Mostly bolts that could be substituted by epoxy and weld fusing and also some parts that were thick yet didn't offered any protection.

By changing those into more efficient versions you were able to wield it more comfortably. It still slowed you down and made some complex postures and movements hard but it was a pretty big improvement.

Looking at it with more detail you started studying its energy capacitors and sacred circuitry maps. They were beautiful in their own way but still far from perfect. Carefully you burned and grafted new electrical paths on it and made it glow more intense than ever, the machine spirit felt kinda anxious inside its own space and with the newly grafted map you gave it more space to work and expand itself.

After equipping it again you felt how it improved, you could even jump to some degree with it!

After doing it some techpriest looked at you but with how happy you were you didn't cared much and blamed a nearby servitor from being clumsy.

I think I already know what cause those great rents in the tanks... it starts with a D and ends with a HERESY-*BLAM*

I think its time to move on. we should consult our eldar for advice on whats going on. And maybe watch out for the inquisitor's goons following us. We're probably on his shitlist despite helping save his kids life. Or at the least he's having us monitored.

>Help the most busy techpriests
>Ask about what happened with the tanks and lasguns

After making such a show when creating and syncing the power weapon most techpriests tried to avoid you but some of them desperate for help didn't cared at all.

A tall and gaunt techpriest of indeterminate gender asked your help with counting all the bolts, screws and small pieces that were on its table. The poor techpriests hands were a shaking mess and it wasn't able to do its job without throwing some of the components and having to start again. It seemed shaky and nervous, maybe it has information about what happened to those vehicles.

"Are you alright?"

To my surprise that person had a very particular way of communicating, the end of each of its fingers was ended in a small light emitting diode. It moved it's shaky hands quickly and from the blurry mess the letters O and K appeared.

You looked at its back and saw a neural port like yours. Your socket connected with its plug and your minds became able to communicate instant and privately.

>//What happened to the tanks?//<

>//MaDMeN, HaLF MaCHiNe aND HaLF BeaST//<

It suddenly looked even more shaky than usual.

>//Don't worry, you are safe nowl//<

>//MeN WiTHouT aRMS NoR LiMBS, THeiR BoNeS SuBSTiTuTeD WiTH aDaMaMTiuM//<

>>
>>37822909

>//Where did all this happen?//<

>//MeGaPRiSoN ZeRo oNe//<

A loud laser blast ended the communication shortly after. The head of the techpriest blew to pieces as the potent projectile impacted against his fragile skull. The sudden cutting of the channel sent a painful screech directly at your eardrums. You quickly turned away with the connection cable still hanging from your neck, at the end of the cable there was still a part of his brain.

In front of you stood the Inquisitor with his laser pistol and his daughter on the other arm.

"The man was thinking bad things right dear?"

The now blood covered little girl nodded twice.

"Well well...you and me again blank."
>>
>>37822932

This will be the last post of today. It's midnight for me already and tomorrow I have class. I don't know if I will be able to write this Thursday or the next week because I'm gonna have lots of exams and I'm already stressed out.

Sorry if the last posts have worse quality but it's just that checking the translator or thesaurus every few sentences can be pretty tiring.

Thanks to everybody who played.
As always I'll leave some time for questions, critics and suggestions before I head to bed.

And your daughter sir. I see the surgery was successful even if she will need to relearn how to walk.

>>37822984
yeah, he a dick. 10 bucks says when the Bloodthirster breaks out it'll possess him if it can't take a material form.

>>37823016
Thanks for running Heracor. So how much does the Inquisitor dislike us? Is the daughter permanently blinded or is the blindfold an affectation? Will our mates and Oihan be purged by asshat the inquisitor?
>>
>>37822932
Holy christ I get he's a puritan but damn thats excessive...

At least we learned something more. the magos working here is obviously got some bioknow and ain't afraid to use it. clone cannibals, cyborgs warmachines, what next? Even more its all meant to make war.

We need to find this nut and shut him down. With or without the inquisitor's help we're dealing with a fullblown lunatic here. And most likely the unseen hand trying to engineer a khorne deamons release.
>>
>>37823065
>daughter permanently blinded
SHE HAS NO EYES
>>
>>37822932
>laser blast
>potent projectile

>>37823016
Just nitpicking. Anyway, thanks for running. I'm a little unclear, are we soon to head out again or do we have a week of rest?
>>
>>37823065
I think she was blind before hand it was partly his own damn fault using his own daughter as a walking heresy detector. Actually wait. they're stupidly hard on the ad mech with all this. and we're looking at a clear cut case of tech heresy bleeding into flat out chaos heresy..

They think it could be inside the local admech elements. Thats why he put us over the coals so abruptly. Why they're happily shooting any techpriest talking too loudly or being affected by it. They don't want even MORE tech heresy happening.
>>
>>37823158
I missed that part ok?

>>37823201
Still he keep killing techpreists he's going to run out of tech support. Then all loyalists are well and truly fucked.
>>
>>37823065
>So how much does the Inquisitor dislike us?
I imagine him wearing only white because he feels pure and thinks that anything that deviates pure white is a invitation to chaos. He sees himself as a paragon of justice, only the Emperor is above him. He is the kind of jerk who makes abhumans say tank you and beg him pardon before sending them to a suicide mission.

>Is the daughter permanently blinded or is the blindfold an affectation?
She sees with her mind, her eyes were nothing but a distraction. His father granted permission to remove them before she could miss them. She has no memories of having vision.

>>37823191
>laser blast
>potent projectile

Yeah I noticed it after It was sent, I'll try to be more careful.

>Will our mates and Oihan be purged by asshat the inquisitor?
That only depends on you Player!

>>37823119
>Holy christ I get he's a puritan but damn that's excessive...
He hates Heracor because of what he did to his daughter, because he believes hes a mutant blank, and because he thinks he tried to interfere on his holy duty. He had proof of the other techpriest thinking heresy and wanted to piss the PC so...
>>
>>37823292
We should probably not show him our newly cobbled together power sword. How long do we have to rest before heading out by the way?
>>
>>37823230
You try telling him that. I'm sure he'll take your complaint with full rational thought and logic!

>>37823292
Nice to know he's a hypocrite of the worst kind then. I think other puritan faction inquisitors would shoot him if does this sort of crap wasting every asset he can.

I won't feel guilty if we have a chance to leave him to die and take it. The Imperium deserves better quality in the ranks of the Inquisition. Not this nut who happily kills everything based on the say so of his child. What happens if she lies to him?

Or if the warp gets in her head
>>
>>37823292
>>laser blast
>>potent projectile
>Yeah I noticed it after It was sent, I'll try to be more careful.

I just auto corrected that to a bolt pistol for proper blamming action.
>>
>>37823292
Are we a true blank and have a warp dampening aura? If so how large is it? If not do we have any ideas on how to make a simulacrum of one?

Oihan and her men in any danger?
>>
>>37823292

Doesn't a blank aura stop psykers from reading the minds of people near us?
>>
>>37823501
>Are we a true blank and have a warp dampening aura?
Still unknown.

>If so how large is it?
The "effect" its pretty small yet devastating when striking back, I guess it only applies its brain.

>If not do we have any ideas on how to make a simulacrum of one?
Heracor is basically a jack of all trades so far. He knows some combat, driving, shooting, crafting and medicae but he doesn't excel at anything in particular. My bet is that he wouldn't be able to simulate it.

>Oihan and her men in any danger?
Always.
>>
>>37823557
Any other prisons besides 03 and 01 have issues with biotech heresy? is 01 cleansed now?
>>
>>37823576
I'm guessing they all do to a degree. each lab seems to be dedicated to studying certain aspects of biology and adding a lovely dash of heresy to the mix. I think the only one that didn't was the irradiated one. They probably just studied the DNA mutations there.
>>
>>37823615
Which is why I was asking, though you make good points.

Anyone else thinking it's a good idea to flood the underdark with lava? odd are our enemy heretek is hiding there.
>>
>>37823576
>Any other prisons besides 03 and 01 have issues with biotech heresy?
You will need to go to those places to discover it by yourself. Violence can take many forms and so do cultures. Each prison developed its own culture centered around violence. 03 was all about cannibalism and fighting for domination, 01 apparently seems to be about auto mutilation and "the flesh is weak" mentality.

>is 01 cleansed now?
03 was cleansed thanks to sheer luck, most people died suffocated under the tent or after the ritualistic suicide. The rest might require longer and more detrimental fights.
