You decide that it is only fitting that these bandits die knowing the fear they have brought to the people of Fueng. Valka rejoin you staying low and quiet as she can when you tell her your plan.

"I'm going to set fire to the farm house. They will flee and we will slaughter them as they do so."

Valka looks at you slightly impressed.

"Alright, how do you want to do this? There's still a chance they might notice us if we're not smart about how we do this."

She says looking to you for guidance.

>What do you say?

>I will sneak to the rear of the farm house and collect some quick kindling to start the fire, you wait by the entrance and stand ready.
>You sneak to the rear and start the fire, with my shield I will serve as a wall and they will not escape.
>We both sneak to the rear and start the fire, when they're fleeing and confused we pounce.
>Hell with it let's just go in and give them what for.

"You sneak to the rear and start the fire, with my shield I will serve as a wall and they will not escape. Once you're done rejoin me, I'll need the help."

You say with a cruel grin.

Valka nods and makes her way to the back of the farmhouse and quietly as an orc with a greataxe can reasonably manage. You can hear very faintly the sound of flint and tinder striking against one another and it is not long before you hear the faint crackling of flame. The farmhouse has two stories with the bottom floor having the door next to which you stand, and three windows, one flanking to the right of the door, and two on the western wall. You instruct Valka to stay close to the windows in case any of them try to jump out that way.

Minutes pass and the small fire has begun to envelop the northern wall at the back of the house and you can hear frantic cries in Lao Xian. A rush of half a dozen men storm down the stairs with one unspeakably large man with a massive hammer whose head is carved to resemble a boar rushing them from behind. When you see them you ready your shield and block the lone entrance. Several of the bandits shout in surprise.

The large man who you can only surmise is Po, gives a curt order then starts rushing you as he brings his hammer backward. It seems he means to break through the shield and you with his maul.

>What do you do?

>Stand fast. I am of the White Men, my limbs are as iron and my shield has stood against worse then this coward.
>Dive to the right, if I time it right his own momentum will be used against him and he might stumble to the ground
>Step forward and slam your shield against his face before he can swing, the idiot will fall before he can even attempt to strike
>Try to smash his swinging arm away with your shield and swing your axe for the killing blow at his exposed head

Your surge forward in a streak of motion and your shield slams against the massive man's face with a sickening crack. He falls backward letting go of the massive hammer and grasping at his face in pain. One of his underlings however has chosen to charge at you while your attention is diverted, bringing his blade to bare with a lunge. You hear the sound of glass shattering as some of the other bandits attempt to breath through the windows on the western wall.

With movements as fluid as the sea itself you pull your shield in with ease, the tip of the blade is caught in your shield and with a single deft swing you lash out with your axe against the bandit's neck. Steel parts flesh like soft butter and the bandit's head parts from his shoulders with a spurt of blood decorating your shield, armor and face. You let out a roar, the sound of a warrior who finds home in the battlefield and you turn to face your next victim.

Two bandits with spears glower at you, weapons at the ready. They seem to be defending Po as he recovers and trundles over to his hammer. You hear two screams cut short as they climb through the window to find Valka's axe waiting for them on the outside of the farmhouse.

>What do you do?

>Roar again and charge them, trying to catch the blades of the spears in your shield and drive them backward
>Run past them and swing your axe at Po, he cannot be allowed to recover, you may not be so lucky next time.
>Shout for Valka to come in through the window, you will do better if you can flank what is left of the bandits.
>Wait, you cannot afford to be the first to attack when you are outnumbered and calling to Valka may put her in danger

While you shout your words to Valka your attention is taken from your shield and it drops slightly. One of the bandits takes this opportunity to jab your shoulder with his spear and a slow hiss of pain escapes your lips. The other bandit is not so lucky and his spear is caught in the hard wood of your shield. With pain serving as a momentary steroid you shove your shield forward and send the second bandit stumbling backward as blood oozes from the wound in your right shoulder. The wound it not nearly so bad as it could have been, your chain mail caught the spear before it could truly impale your shoulder however the skin was broken and it aches terribly.

You are forced to turn and regard the bandit who wounded you as his success has emboldened him. He jabs at you with the spear aiming for you neck. You hear Valka shamble in through the window and she is immediately accosted by one of the bandits.

You raise your shield and swing outward, throwing the bandit's spear aside and leaving him open for your attack. Your steel sings as it leaves through the air and the bandit's neck is slashed open by the blade of your axe. He quickly and noisily chokes on his own blood, dropping to the ground. The bandit who you pushed aside has begun clamoring to his feet and you can now see that Po has his hammer back and looks furious. There are now two bandits remaining and Po who looks down at you with death in his eyes. Valka is clashing with the second bandit. The fire has begun to engulf the back wall of the farmhouse and you can hear the house groaning in resistance and gravity works upon it.

You rush toward the scrambling bandit and kick him back down to the ground. He screams but the noise is cut abruptly short and you slam your booted foot down onto the bandit's throat. His airway collapses and you hear his struggling for breath as you remove your foot. He struggles and thrashes quickly losing energy. You hear what you can only assume is loud swearing coming from Valka in Orcish as she finally finishes off the last of the bandits. Now the two of you stand in the building with Po and the groans of protest from the building have become louder.

With no apparent concern for his well being Po charges you with a loud snarl heaving his hammer upward for an overhead strike.

You quickly holster your axe and heft the massive maul up and onto your shoulder before turning tail and making a break for the door. You get outside, breathing heavily and a few minutes later the terrible groan of the house turns into a creaking tear as it is no longer able to support itself and collapses into a massive pile of firewood. You can hear Po's screams from within as fire engulfs the wood that has crushed him. This lasts for some time before he finally falls silent. Valka heaves a heavy sigh and looks up to you.

"Not too bad Blondie, not to bad. So, should we head back and claim our prize?"

She asks.

Though the terrain and the foliage may be different to hunt is to breathe for you, and in this strange land that remains a fact. You manage to track and hunt with ease a large male deer, with a single arrow ending the creature's life and painlessly as possible.

You and Valka heave the creature over near the smoldering ruins and she builds another more constructive fire as you go to work skinning and cutting the deer into edible sections. You cook the meat and eat a delicious meal until you are left with the better part of a carcass and the building is at last is seared shambles.

The two of you begin searching the ruins of the building.

So, since we have an orc travelling companion, it seems as good a time as any to ask and firm this up. For point of reference, what do our orcs look like in this world, if not Valka herself? Are we talking Warcraft orcs like this?

The two of you move charred lumber and roasted bodies in the search of treasures. You manage to find a collections of ten gold coins split among the bandits, however what truly catches your attention is a trap door that seems to have been covered by a small gaudy rug when you were initially inside the farmhouse. It is bolted with surprisingly well made locks, the metal of which appears surprisingly new. The key to the locks however is nowhere to be found. The wood of the trap door is weakened but not completely charred. It may be possible to break open the door with enough force, but it will be no easy task.

"Darn, I need to get my chest waxed again!"
"I feel very feminine, and I'll beat the crap out of ANYONE who disagrees!"
"What's estrogen? Can you eat it?"

>Her skin is forest green meaning she likely was born in Junta or Caelden.

From thread 2
>>
>>37846838
>>37846863

While the first Orcs had brown sandy skin since then they've moved around the world quite a lot, they're almost as common as humans. Their skin tone tends to vary depending on where they came from, but unlike humans their skin tones tend toward the natural colors of their environment. Valka's skin is actually forest green indicating that she's likely from Caelden or Junta. Though they are rare there are Orcs from the wastes who have pale white skin.

>>37846805
This is probably the closest approximation to a female Orc is Arvahn. They are very humanoid but their ears are long and sharper and they have tusks like WoW orcs. Valka is considered very attractive by Orc standards which you may come to see if you meet any other Orcs. I have a description of her typed out in the second thread.
>>
>>37847074
Scale of 10, an 11 by orc standards would be, what, 7-8 by human standards?
>>
>>37847074

She's dressed in simple armor, chain mail covered in furs and trinkets. Her hair is short, almost like a mans, but her sizeable bust and soft features make it obvious she is a woman. A massive battle axe hangs along her back, worn as your own weapons are from years of use yet ready at any moment to cleave a man in two. Her skin is forest green meaning she likely was born in Junta or Caelden.
>>
>>37847124
It's less 'orcs are just uglier' and more 'the two species find different things attractive'.

Orc culture in this world is centered around combat, they see it as art in a sense and because both women and male orcs are both equally fit for combat they find combat prowess more attractive than anything. Valka is built like a brick shit house, in the good sense. She's tall and muscular but naturally so not like a body builder. She doesn't have soft features like the common human woman but she does have a handsomeness to her.

But if you want the simple version she's be about a 6 or an 7 if you're not into that kind of thing, 8 or 9 if you are.
>>
>>37847197

This. Nivah in Sith Apprentice was a mousey wallflower who had to be propped up by Xanth to become better, and she became attached to him.
Valka here is built just as wide and as large as Eirik, believes in much the same tenets of honor as Eirik, and - quite frankly - could legitimately kick Eirik's ass given the opportunity. She is Eirik's equal, and she will be treated as such.

Spend money? We will woe this foreign and strange woman with PURE AND UNCONTROLLED MASCULINITY that will make them QUIVER IN THEIR KNEES! Also barbarian poetry about the beauty of the waste White World on a cloud free day with no wind as the Urfarthar grands us his blessing.

Yeah I know, which is why I got it up there with the dragon. First time we will meet a Elf/Fae I can imagine Eirik running away screaming like a little girl and feel no shame in doing so.

First line.

And means +

So when it states Woman = Time x Money
It's incorrect. It should say Woman = Time + Money.

"Check the crates, I'm going to take a look in this trunk over here."

You grumble. Valka nods and begins inspecting the crates while you kneel down and open the trunk. Within you see a large collection of items, most of them are papers and ledgers mostly written in Lao Xian or another language you cannot readily identify. You also find a small pouch which you quickly determine is filled with gold pieces, fifty total. Lastly you find a small medallion with an intricate carving upon it. The item seems to be carved of a dull green stone. You imagine that it would be worth a fair amount of money but you have a feeling that this item has it's own significance beyond monetary value. It reminds you of a symbol of status that a chieftain might wear from one of your tribes.

"Hm, we may have stumbled into something bigger then us Eirik. We've got weapons here. Lots of them. Plus rations, armor, all the works. With everything in here we're talking the kind of stuff that could equip a small army for battle."

Valka says as she sifts through the crates.

"Is it just me or do these crates remind you of someone?"

>What do you say?

>I'll withhold judgement for now, I'm sure there's more then one shady dealer in Lao Xia but we might want to bring this to someone's attention.
>Yea. These crates look like the ones Oz tried to have us deliver.
>Take a look at these papers. One of these languages is Lao Xian, but I can't recognize the other. Do you know what it is?
>Whatever is going on here it's not what we came for. Grab anything you want and let's go.

>With everything in here we're talking the kind of stuff that could equip a small army for battle

Time to start our own mercenary band.

(According to the pastebin that would actually net us a pretty good profit since we'd be able to operate out of the normal strictures of Lao Xian society).

But that's for another time. Let's grab the good stuff and bail, I'd rather not be stopped by someone in authority with treasonous letters on us or some such. We wouldn't get far as a foreigner with that flak on us.

>Whatever is going on here it's not what we came for. Grab anything you want and let's go.

as far as the people picking "it's not what we came for", revealing this stash is likely going to earn us some more business or at least a healthy bonus. I think it is in our best interest to tell someone about it.

We're a bunch of foreigners that don't speak the local language. I'm not against us making a bigger buck than just the bounty, but there is some risk in getting involved in something bigger than us. Especially if it has some sort of unofficial backing from the local powers.
>>
>>37848545
At the very least we need to hold onto a few things like that amulet and some of the papers. We can ask a few questions about the symbol on it and maybe the language on the paper before we get involved. Don't want to take too long though.

"Indeed, these crates look like the ones Oz tried to have us deliver. Take a look at these papers. One of these languages is Lao Xian, but I can't recognize the other. Do you know what it is?"

You ask offering it to Valka. She takes it and inspects it quickly before nodding.

"These are Karavashian letters. Every Orc is taught the basics of our mother tongue... but I'll admit I'm a bit rusty, it's usually the shamans who all know the language fluently. I can piece together some of it... It mentions preparations for something... a civil war? Hm. A lot of it is talking about specific locations and things I can't really understand, but it makes it pretty clear that they can't let the authorities know about this."

She says with a grunt as she hands the papers back to you.

>What do you say?

>I found this amulet, maybe it means something to someone.
>Let's take some of these papers and this ledger, it might reveal more information if we bring it to the right people.
>I think we should let the local authorities know about this, it could give us some good publicity
>Let's keep this between us, the last thing we need is to piss off the wrong people fresh off the boat

Let's try finding that old man again. He can read this stuff, and he knows enough about Oz and this place to help us piece together what this would mean for this city.

"Let's drop these papers and ledger off with the local constable anonymously. I want nothing to do with a civil war of those trying to instigate it."

And lets learn the Lao Xia word for "Uncle" we can call him that since he's helped us alot.

My guess is that this is done by the emperor of the heavens so he would rather kick us all out of the country anyway. Alerting some of the emperor of the seas people could net us a good job. Should still probably check out the symbol on the amulet though, just to make sure.

Abso-fucking-lutely. No way am I wanting to get caught up in backroom politics when us two foreigners are the perfect scapegoats for whatever shitstorm will inevitably follow.

Yeah, it's great and all. But we don't want to be in the eye of the storm when it hits the fan.

That and I reckon we should get some likely lads and found a mercenary company, more options open to us. Voting for Valka as our 2nd.
