>LAST TIME ON GEASS QUEST: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/37904799/

>Thread times and updates posted here: https://twitter.com/Crosswire

>Quest is usually ran on Saturday starting at 3:30PM

Your name is Shirley Fenette and for once you've woken up to something that isn’t confusing, terrifying, or war related.

You wake up to find panties in your lap.

Blinking several times you realize that you can see! Unlike the day before where all you could see was whiteness and silhouettes, you find that you can now see color and the general shape of things. However as you squint your eyes you realize your vision is horribly blurry and you can’t make out any real details even as you put your hand in front of your face.

"I guess my vision is getting better like that doctor said. Makes me wonder if that lunatic Pailsen was telling the truth when he said I could regenerate..."

Your thoughts drift briefly back to your kidnapping and Pailsens talk about 'Immortal Cells' but you shake those thoughts away and instead turn your attention to the panties in your lap. Picking then up you find them to be soft, frilly, and a bit small for you to wear. With your vision still damaged you decide to use all of your senses and stick the panties under your nose to smell them...

"Ah! What are you doing with my panties?"

The yell causes you to jolt up in your seat and smack your head off the car ceiling, falling back onto the seat clutching your head.

You look up to see a small, girlish looking figure sitting in the front seat. Her face and features are blurry just like everything else, but you can confirm that she's definitely young (or very short) and has long blond hair.

"Er I was just..."

"Hahaha, I was just kidding." Nemo says with a mischievous laugh. "I put those panties in your lap to see what you'd do, I never expected you to smell them."

"Well I'm trying to compensate for my crappy vision at the moment..." You say, sitting up and doing your best to hide your reddened face.

“Oh...so your vision hasn't gotten any better?” Nemo says, her jovial tone dropping into one of quiet distress.

“No, no. It’s gotten better, but everything is still really blurry. I can’t even see your face.” You explain and you hear Nemo sigh in relief.

“That’s good, I was worried you’d be blind for good. Anyway, I have a lot to do today, but I wanted to ask what you planned on doing. I may have my own goals, but seeing as your still blind I want to help you anyway I can..."

You sit and think for a moment, considering your options...

As tempting as it is to just stay with Nemo and wait till your vision fully returns, you realize that the longer you wait the more time Zero has to spin his nefarious web and plot his filthy little schemes. Made only worse by the fact that Pailsen and Mr. Statdfeld are now your enemies as well and both of them deserve to suffer just as much as Zero…

“Nemo, is there anyway you can get me back to Britannian territory? There’s people that are probably worrying about me and I have some rather important things that I need to do…”

“Are you sure you don’t want to wait until your eyes are all better? It’ll be dangerous getting you home safely with your vision still messed up.” Nemo asks and you just shake your head

“No, I need to get back to Britannia as soon as I can. If it’s not too much trouble I’d like your help getter back.”

“It’ll be no problem at all, but it definitely won’t be easy. Ever since the Japanese peo, er I mean ‘Elevens’ took over Area Eleven flights and ships directly to Britannia across the pacific have been prohibited. I'm sure I can work out a way to get you to the Britannian homeland, but it'll be difficult. However I think it'd be easier to get you into Euro Britannia given it's proximity to the Federation." Nemo says and starts up the car, rousing the sleeping Rai from his slumber.

"What's happening? What's going on?" He asks with a yawn.

"We're taking the girl home." Nemo states.

"Oh, helping the little blind snake find it's way back to it's nest? How like you Nemo..." Rai's laugh sends a chill down your spine but Nemo just sighs.

"Anyway, where do you wish to go? The homeland or Euro Britannia?"

Okay, so Euro Britannia it is.
But let's just not go straight to the authorities, okay? Considering our value and the fact that we were able to get into the military only due to Pailsen's 'help', I bet some fuckers will be on lookout for any news concerning one Xinlu Kuu.

“Euro Britannia sounds like the best option. I’ve honestly never been there myself, but it should be easy for them to identify me once I get there even without my identification on hand.” You say as you remember that your phone and identification (along with all your other personal belongings) were taken from you when you were put into this straight-jacket like suit.

“Alright, that should be easy. All we need to do is drive to the border and get you passed it, which should be pretty easy for me.” Nemo says and as you squint you can almost see her grinning.

"Are you sure that's wise Nemo?" Rai asks, the sound of his hands running over the slithering and scaly form of the snake that had crawled down into your suit the day before filling the car as he speaks. "It's a few hundred miles to the border and don't you have something rather important and time sensitive to do today?"

"I..." You hear Nemo hesitate and grow still for a brief instant, as if fighting herself over helping you and doing something else. "No. What I need to do can wait. Helping this girl comes first!"

"Alright, alright. Just don't blame me if things don't go as planned." Rai says with a huff and leans back to his seat.

"It'll take too long to drive to the border, we can make better time if we catch a train instead. I'm not too attached to this car and I can get us a replacement very easily once we get off. Is there anything you want to do before we leave for the border?" Nemo asks as she begins to drive slowly down the road.

>No, you'd just like to talk with Nemo and enjoy the ride.

“Well I could use some breakfast right about now and...hey Nemo, do you have a phone I can borrow?” You ask, remembering that you have most of your friends cell phone numbers.

“I do...but it’s a ‘business’ phone of sorts that I try to avoid using unless I have too. However I can pick you up a cellphone, they sell those cheap disposable ones here.” Nemo suggests and you nod your head, realizing you can avoid giving out the number of your friends to strangers.

After a brief drive and Nemo leaving the car for a few minutes, she returns with some chinese pancakes (which remind you more of pizza then of the pancakes you’re used to having) and a rugged green cellphone for you to use.

“Do you need help dialing?” Nemo asks as you flip open the phone and look at the blurry buttons.

“No. I remember where the numbers on the pad are…” You lie and fumble with the phone a bit before taking a bit out of your pancake as you consider who to call.

“You have pretty eyes…” Nemo comments.

“Thank you.”

“I’ve never seen anyone with yellow eyes before…”

“Yellow?”

“Well, I guess they’re something of a green color. It’s hard to tell really. Regardless they’re rather pretty.”

Nemo’s voice is sweet and sincere, but something about her comment unnerves you. Your eyes, what color were your eyes again? They were green, but people always told you they had something of a yellow tint to them. It’s probably nothing...

Who do you wish to call?

Ah if you're talking about Personality. I get it.

I actually like the physical changes because it signals the cells and the horror etc.

Personality isn't genetic. I don't think Shirley will ever be 100% C.C. nor do I strive for that.. but with the introduction of those cells I wouldn't be surprised if she could be mistaken for C.C.'s sister at some point and or not immediately recognized as Shirley.

The horror aspect is the great part of it. She's going to have a crisis. Am I me? Who am I? Kuu? Shirley? C.C.?

She'll never be C.C. but she could easily forget who she is.

You decide to call Cecile, seeing as you have her number and she's always been someone you could turn to for help. As the phone begins to ring and Nemo drives the car down the road towards the nearest train station, you look into the rear view mirror seeing nothing but a blurry have of color staring back.

In that haze of color you see two yellow orbs were your eyes should be...

"Hello?" A familiar voice over the phone speaks out and derails your train of thought.

"Cecile, is that you?" You ask.

"Yes it's me. Where are you, Kuu? What's happened? You were taken away by Dr. Pailsen after you were attacked for treatment and then we couldn't get in contact with him or you..."

"It's a long story, the short version is that Dr. Pailsen kidnapped me and I'm in the Chinese Federation. My vision is damaged and I'm pretty sure there are people after me."

"Oh goodness. Please tell me where you are Kuu, maybe I can do something to help..."

"I don't know where I am at the moment, but some new friends of mine are driving me to the border of Euro Britannia. It'll take a while but it'll be quicker then trying to get to the Homeland." You explain, wincing as Nemo hits a bump in the road.

"Alright. I'll get in contact with the border guard and inform them you're coming. Is there anything else you can tell me?"

"No that's it."

"Alright, I'll see you when you get back Kuu. I love you..."

"Huh, wait a second..." The line goes dead before you can say anything else and when you try to redial you can't seem to connect.

"Who was that?" Nemo asks.

"Just a friend of mine." You say, stuffing your phone down your shirt as you realize you don't have any pockets on your straight jacket suit.

"Well I hope your friends are trustworthy. I can get you across the border as long as nothing goes wrong, but if Knightmares show up then we'll be in trouble." Nemo admits and you frown.

"I'm sure I can trust them, they've never let me down before..."

After another couple minutes of driving you arrive at the train station and after being left in the car for a bit Nemo comes back and brings you and Rai to a train docked at the station. You board and she leads you back to a small car at the rear of the train, completely empty of anyone else but yourselves.

"I managed to get us a private car. I didn't want to risk our conversations being eavesdropped by any unsavory people given how you said someone's after you..." Nemo explains and leads you to a comfortable seat.

"Nemo, as much as I appreciate everything you've done, can you tell me why you're helping me?" You ask as Nemo and Rai sits down across from you.

"Well...to be honest it's more then just helping someone down on their luck. You remind me of myself and of someone I think I used to know..." Nemo's says.

"Someone you think you used to know?" You ask.

"I have some memory issues myself. I can't remember a lot about my past or who my family is, but I can recall bits and pieces. For some reason you seem familiar, like a friend or maybe even a sister..."

"Well I can say for a fact that I didn't have a sister growing up. But I had plenty of friends back home, though even with my eyesight I'm sure I would have recognized you by now If I'd know you." You explain, feeling a little sad having to tell the sweet girl in front of you that you honestly don't know her.

"It's alright." Nemo says with a shrug. "If anyone cared about me they'd have come looking for me by now. That just means I have to take cared of myself and those who do care about me. All the more reason for me to help you and serve my Master Rai."

“My name is Shirley. Shirley Fenette.” You state as you lean back into your seat and sink into it’s soft cushions.

“Is that your real name or just what you want me to call you?” Nemo asks.

“That’s my real name. Enough people know it that it doesn’t matter if I tell you or not, you’re bound to find out eventually. Besides I’d rather be the one to tell you then someone else.”

“I see. Thank you for being so honest with me Shirley. I’ll be honest with you and tell you that Nemo isn’t my real name, the problem is I don’t know what my real name is. Like I said before I have issues with my memory, I don’t remember who my family is or was, where I came from, or what my old name was. Master Rai had to give me a new name when I contracted myself with him and even he doesn’t know my old one…”

“To be fair I’m terrible with names. Even if I did know her old one I probably would have forgotten it.” The hissing of Rai's snake is drowned out by the shaking of the train car and the high pitched whistle that rings out as it begins to move down the track.

You look out the window and find that the scenery is moving by in a complete and total blur though weather it's from the speed of the train or your damaged vision is hard to tell. Nemo thanks you for being so trusting of her and you're left wondering what to do for the 5 hour train ride...

>>38069197
wait, it was invented in the series?

>>
>>38069309
Yes, they made it in the series, and after it's used on the battle field for the first time she freaks the fuck out. even though she knew it was going to be used that way, and knew the amount of damage it could do. Realizing it’s been quite a while since you’ve gone to the bathroom you ask Nemo to lead you to the train’s bathroom so you can do your business.

“This private train car has it’s own bathroom, take as long as you need.” Nemo explains as she takes you to the bathroom and shuts the door behind you.

After locking the bathroom door you check over the suit and realize that you have to take it off completely to use the bathroom. You undo some of the straps and buckles and manage to worm your way out of the suit, exposing your naked body to the cool air of the bathroom.

You take care of some rather essential biological functions regards waste excretion and begin to wash your hands when you catch yourself in the mirror. It’s been ages since you last looked at yourself in the mirror and now you almost don't recognize yourself...

Yellow eyes stare back out of the mirror at you and as you lean forward to examine them you notice that the roots of your hair are starting to change color, from orange to...green.

Looking down you begin to feel up your body, looking for any other changes. You don't see any scars or marks but you can swear that your bust and rear have gotten a but bigger and that you didn't have these curves before. Biting your lip you pull on the straight jacket suit and tighten it up.

"Was-was Pailsen telling the truth? Am I really changing? Changing into who? Into WHAT?" It's hard to stay calm and you find yourself bracing your arms against the walls of the tiny bathroom to prevent yourself from falling over.

You stay in the bathroom, standing with your arms braced against the wall, your heart pounding in your chest, and your eyes avoiding so much as looking at the mirror. Eventually there's a knock on the door that makes you jump.

"Shirley? Are you OK in there?" Nemo asks from the other side of the door.

"Yes, yes I'm fine. I'll be out in a minute..."

It's like the Oni, where the big twist was the main character has what amounts to a super-cancer that overwrites any dead cells and regrows them with a much stronger version, effectively making her stronger the more of her old body is hurt and removed. This culminates with the character willingly taking an acid bath to give her superpowers.

After splashing some water in your face you leave the bathroom and sit back down in your previous seat. For a whole hour of the train ride you just sit and stew, conquering up all sorts of wicked, awful things to do to Zero, Pailsen, and that bastard Stadtfeld.

As entertaining as plotting to torture your enemies is you soon become bored and your attention is drawn back to Nemo and Rai.

"So, what do you intend to do after you help me?"

"Well Master Rai just wanted to see the sights and try to catch a glimpse or two of the fighting going on here. I intend to talk to some people around China in the hopes of calming things down and maybe ending the fighting, though given how stubborn the government forces are I don't think that's going to happen..." Nemo explains.

"That makes sense given what you've said before. What about you Rai? Nemo can't remember who she is or where she's from, what about you?"

"Me? Why it's been ages since anyone asked about me..." Rai admits with what you think is a smile. "I come from Britannia, I'd say where but they've probably changed the name of it. I was a member of nobility but my family disowned me for being...naughty when I was younger. I've been cooped up for quite a long time and I only recently got out to see the world. I gave Nemo here a contract because I needed some assistance taking me places and I believed she would make things...interesting."

"Interesting?" You ask.

"Yes, interesting." Rai says as he leans forward "I believe that for all the terrible and wondrous people and things in the world, one should always do their best to keep things interesting. For when the world becomes boring it has no reason left to exist..."

"I never really understood my Master's obsession with keeping himself entertained, but as you can see he's rather adamant about it." Nemo adds.

"It's because it's true. Don't you agree?" Rai looks to you and you...

Too little and you start getting restless knowing you could be doing something, anything to better yourself, others, the world and then the world starts to feel hollow. You speak your mind on the subject and Rai just grins like a child being offered candy.

"My, my you're more interesting that I thought. I think the world could use a few more people like you..."

"No...no I don't think it does..." You say with a frown.

"Well we can agree to disagree. How about that?" Rai says and lets the Blind Snake from the other day wriggled in and out of his fingers.

The rest of the train ride is quiet and uneventful, however when the train comes to your stop you notice an awful lot of Chinese soldiers standing out on the platform and walking patrols.

"They're probably looking for potential rebels. Wait here..." Nemo leaves the train and comes back minutes later, ushering you from the safety of the car and leading you down the platform. None of the soldiers so much give you, Rai, or Nemo a glance as you proceed to a parked compact car waiting outside the train station gates.

Climbing into the back seat you manage to buckle yourself up as Nemo starts to drive towards the border.

"Alright, it'll only be a minute or two before we get there. Now when we get there I'm going to need you to plug your ears and..." Nemo stops speaking and hits the breaks so hard you're nearly given whiplash.

"Nemo, what's going on? What do you see?"

"Smoke, it's coming from the border crossing..."

You lean forward and look out the front windshield and while the details escape you, you do indeed see pillars of black smoke rising up in the distance.

"It couldn't have been an EU attack, maybe it was the rebels? But that wouldn't make sense ether. Who could it have..."

"Are you really willing to put your life on the line for someone you've only just met?" You ask and Nemo just nods.

"I'm more willing to risk my life for you then to just leave you here to die."

"Alright then, turn this rust bucket around and get us into the city! I doubt we can outrun them but we can at least lead them into the Chinese troops to get them off our backs."

Tightening your seat belt Nemo slams her foot onto the gas and spins the car around, taking off down the road as the Sutherlands speed up in pursuit. Coilgun rounds pepper the asphalt behind the car and wiz past, turning passing cars into scrap piles and punching holes into nearby buildings.

You can hear the panicked screams of Chinese civilians as they begin to flee for their lives at the sight of the approaching Knightmares. Nemo seems to be doing a good job driving, but you can't help but notice a lot of her mistakes. You're not exactly a great driver yourself all things considered (you learned to drive a Knightmare before you did a car after all) but you'd still feel more comfortable in the driver's seat.

Then again you're still half blind so maybes it's best that you're not the one driving.

Ahead you spot the traffic becoming congested with cars and people practically forming a small wall between the car and a stretch of open road. Looking around you spot a small, very tight alley that the car MIGHT be able to fit down to get onto another road.

Nunnally seems to recognize the problems ahead of her and speeds up, looking to you briefly for what to do as the Sutherlands begin to gain on the car...

We want to make the world a better place. Removing Zero is part of that. Kallen's dad is also part of that. So is Pailsen. We need to take care of them all. As for the order we'll see. Shirley is pragmatic enough to chill her tits for a few months to get what she would consider the best end. Of course once Kallen's dad is dead we are going to rip Zero limb from limb unless something changes drastically.

“Go down the alley! This car couldn't crash through a picket fence without killing us!” You direct Nemo away from the wall of cars and she complies, spinning the steering wheel and filling the air with the screeching of rubber on asphalt. The car turns sharply and shoots into the alleyway, shaking violently as it’s doors begin to scrape and grind against the walls of the alley itself.

Sparks are thrown as the doors grind up against the stone walls of the alley, throwing off sparks and pieces of glass as the side windows begin to crack and shatter. The whole car shakes from the grinding and the numerous piles of garbage that are sucked up under the tires as the car speeds down the alley.

You do your best to look upwards and spy the Black Sutherlands in hot pursuit, rolling across the rooftops as fast as their landspinners will carry them. The car beats the Sutherlands to the end of the alleway and the car veers back onto the road, it's paintless, mangled back doors just falling off as soon as the supportive walls of the alley drop away.

As the car turns a corner you spot a number of clunky, almost lizard like Knightmares with guns for arms standing in a loose line at the end of the street. One of the pilots shouts something in Chinese but is cut off as the three black Sutherlands come screaming around the corner mere feet behind you, spraying their Coilguns down the road at the Chinese troops.

"What should I do? Go through the Gun-Ru's or try to slip down another alley?" Nemo asks, shouting over the gunfight that erupts between the two groups of Knightmares.

>Drive between the legs of the Gun-Ru's, the Plutons will have to fight their way through if they want to keep chasing you.

“Just drive through their legs! They don’t have arms and it’s not like they walk, we’ll be fine!” You shout as coilgun rounds fly mere inches past the car. Nemo grits her teeth and buries her foot into the accelerator, sending the compact screaming down the road and through the legs of a chinese Gun-Ru who sprays it’s machineguns at the incoming Sutherlands.

You turn and watch with a grimace as four of the six Gun-Ru’s standing guard at the road are blasted to pieces, however you’re jerked to the side as Nemo swerved to avoid eight more Gun-Ru’s rushing down the road to reinforce their comrades. Even as the Black Sutherlands swerve and press forward, Gun-Ru’s come up from behind and surround them.

The Chinese Knightmares, while obviously inferior to the Sutherlands, dump their combined munitions into the superior machines and blast them to pieces, making their superior maneuverability moot with a wall of machine gun and cannon fire. Only one of the Black Machines survives long enough to swerve to the side of the road and eject it’s cockpit before it too is destroyed.

Nemo doesn't stop though and continues to speed through the streets, going a good five miles before sliding into an alley and ushering you out of the car.

"We did it, we got away!" You say, almost breathless from the whole affair.

"Yeah, but the military is going to be on high alert after that mess. I don't think we'll be able to cross the border now, at least through normal means. Would you like to wait a day or two till things cool off or do you want me to try something else?"

You consider your options as Nemo leads you and her Master away from the mercilessly beat up compact.

>Decide to wait a day or two to try again. You don't want to risk getting attacked again, at least with your eyes still screwed up.
>Ask Nemo to try again, maybe she can smuggle you across the border if need be.

"I think waiting a day or two might be best. Once my vision is better I think I'll be ready to try again." You say as you follow Nemo out of the alley and across the street, trying to act casually as a patrol of soldiers comes by.

"Alright I'll find us a place to stay for a few days, probably a hotel. I'll make sure it's off the records so no one can find us, or rather you. Any idea how they knew you were going to be at the bordering crossing?" Nemo asks as you take out your phone and look at it.

"Yeah I have an idea or two..." You mutter and then you stop.

"What's wrong?" Nemo asks.

"That last Sutherland ejected it's cockpit. If the pilot's still alive and somewhere here in the city, he'll come looking for me. We should try and find his cockpit to make sure he's ether dead or at the very least in military custody." You explain and Nemo frowns.

"It's dangerous...but I have to agree with you. I'll get us a car, wait here..."

Nemo leaves and returns with a car, this time it's a sturdy van and you begin to drive in the direction you say the cockpit eject...

You drive for only a couple minutes in search of the cockpit when you spy a number of rooftops with whole stretches of shingles scraped from their tops. Telling Nemo to stop you hop out of the van to investigate and after climbing your way up the side of a building you find a Knightmare cockpit lodged into the side of a what appears to be an old abandoned brothel.

Inching your way over to the cockpit, you mess with the external controls and manage to open it. Your raise your fists, ready to fight whatever deadly, brutish assassin who was sent to end your existence...only to find a boy sitting in the cockpit. Being so young yourself it's not surprising to see another young individual in a hellish profession but even you can't help but wonder if this is actually one of the assassins.

Even dressed in military gear and carrying a number of deadly tools, the unconscious boy with bits if glass sticking out of his face looks unusually peaceful.

"Did you find someone?" Nemo shouts up to you.

"Yeah I did! Get a ladder and some rope, I want to bring this kid back with us."

"What!?"

"I want to see if I can get some answers out of him..."

Gritting your teeth you strip the young boy naked, check him for any hidden weapons, lower him to the ground with some rope provided by Nemo after a brief absence, and tie and bound him before throwing him into the back of the panel van and driving off.

To anyone else the scene was disturbing and mad, a girl in a loosened straight jacket throwing a naked boy tied and gagged into the back of a van driven by an even younger girl and her snake holding master.

But to you this was just the beginning...

Shirley deserves some kind words and a hug or two after all the shit she had to go through during these 20 threads which, by the way, equals to what, two weeks of in-game time? holy shit, how can one remain sane when the world throws so much shit at you

Rage, Hate, Madness, Regeneration and Hope. Lots of each combined with as trong desire for vengeance and to make the world a better place. Fighting and wining against a Geass probably help our willpower as well. I do agree Shirley need a few days to wind down though.

Is madness a bad thing?
Is it even madness if we can swim in it?

Madness is usually a bad thing but it's kept Shirely alive. We need to keep it in its box though, lest it consume us. How would we swim in out madness?
