Previous Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/38068246/
Our Current Stats: http://pastebin.com/iahm4JSj (Please have a look at them, but don't feel obligated to read it all in one sitting- use it as a guideline if you're drawing a blank or need some contextual information as I've essentially compiled every piece of information that's relevant to our civilization.)
Our Current Bestiary: http://pastebin.com/TWY0QfWA (Please have a look, but don't feel obligated to read it in one sitting- it's VERY extensive and currently in "alpha" since I'd like to make an illustrated pdf.) *updated*

The Great Progenitor has arisen from the darkest, deepest, depths of the primordial ocean as he can no longer ignore your presence. This is not like other sessions: Your survival is not "guaranteed". If you are not capable of either repelling or killing The Great Progenitor: he will consume your empire, he will be the extinction of your people, you will lose the game, and this quest will be over.

The Great Progenitor has arisen from the darkest, deepest, depths of the primordial ocean and this entails many environmental and societal developments simply through his presence:

>Environmental Development: A World of darkness.
>The Great Progenitor is incomprehensible massive and his body alone eclipses and blocks out the sun; from morning 'till noon you will experience partial shade until the sun reaches high enough in the sky for it to shine onto your islands. This effect has obvious psychological effects on your people, but it is also incredibly stressful for fish, plants, and animals- it also makes farming more difficult. This presence only extends to your islands and the tip of the mainland.
(2nd post inc- please be patient.)
>>
>Political Development: Elderitch Embargo
>The Great Progenitor is incomprehensible massive and his body alone disturbs the wake of the tide and misaligns the movement and current of the ocean. The Great Progenitor is actively preventing you from contacting the southern continent: he, himself, will stop any boats, canoes, or any manned vessels he sees with his wall of eyes- he is even willing to adjust the ebb and flow of the tide if he has to.
(2nd post inc- please be patient.)

>Public Health Development: The Stress of another's gaze
>The Great Progenitor is incomprehensible massive and when night falls; his body appears to distort, he expands and becomes fluid, the reality of his form becomes subjective and he becomes the night sky. A great un-blinking, perpetually staring wall of eyes and blackness is all that awaits for your people each night The Great Progenitor is awake. This effect causes great distress and psychological pressure on your people- to such a degree that would not be seen until modern day times. This effect is ON PURPOSE and is particularly hard for those who practice magic or theology; The Great Progenitor however is not strong enough to block out the Moon.

>Public Health Development: Psychic intrusion.
>The Great Progenitor's mind is unlike what you've experienced in gods, animals, or people; his is of alien origins, his is a mind that only knows the nightmares of ancient creation. The Great Progenitor is psychic; psychic is not magic, psychic ability is something that only permeates the minds of thinking people- it ticks away at the mind, especially in dreams, and plants dark, brooding, hideous suggestions. The Great Progenitor's thoughts will subtle corrupt the actions and ideas of your people. Stupid people and most animals are resistance/immune from this effect.

You have until the end of this session. You may now Roll: 2 Actions(d20), 1 Idea (d100).
>>

>Complete and terrible failure.

The mer-people have been dwelling within the relative safety of the shallow reefs that make up the waters within your neighboring islands: they are cramped, but they are safe and the reefs- especially the ones south, provide relief from the gaze and mental stress of The Great Progenitor.

He however forbades you from assisting what he has designated as "his": His thoughts succeed against your actions and even the tide itself seems to subtly dissuade any contact or assistance.

>You cannot save them.
>They are already mine.

>Study lightning as well, that bright flash that happens during storms and destroys where it lands.
>Roll 89/100
>Progenitor's roll 74/100
>Success +Rolling with the sun, +Theology, +Mana Aversion

The Golden Lightning bolt is something of an anomaly on your home island; the Great Progenitor's thoughts cannot permeate those who dwell in the dull glow that the Golden figure dimly shines and the delicious golden flow of Mana that constantly and gently pours from it alleviates stress and seems to have a positive -if short term- effect on those who leave it's presence. Even the night sky itself seems to be just a little bit clearer when watching it within the presence of the Golden Lightning bolt. This effect carries on even if the Mana is not produced by the Golden Bolt itself: the kind Solar priests make appears to be just as effective and the Mana that flows from Mycea's deceased structure works as well.
You're not 100% sure, but it appears -whatever Mana is- It seems to be created equally without impurity.

>Construct magical implements such as trinkets, baubels, dream catchers, and other charms in an effort to combat Psychic influences.
>Roll 82/100
>Success -Psychic is not Magic.

Your Sages, Druids, Arcanists- really, anyone who can do any amount of magic makes an effort to create some baubel, some sort of dream purifier or SOMETHING that can block out the nightmares and the constant insideous voice of The Great Progenitor- but it is of no use. Nothing works: Small monoliths, chanting, charms, nothing.

>You cannot ignore me, foolish children; my presence is beyond that of the soul.
>>
If you love us, why will you not let us be happy Proginetor?

Love means many things- the love of a mother and child is different then those between lovers, or the love of great friends- but it always means looking to put the happiness of your loved one before your own.

Great progenitor, though you profess love for us as children, you refuse to be let us grow, to seek happiness in our own ways.

You claim that you own us, and that we do not know. No one may own another. And no love is born between a master and slave, owner and object.

Great progenitor, if you truly love us and your children, then talk to us. Treat us as we are equals, as others like you do, to let us make our own decisions. We promise that we will love you back, but in our way.

We will always remember the sea, even if we no longer call it home.

>Progenitor's Roll 11/20
>Sun's Roll 5/20
>Moon's Roll 15/20
>Star's Roll 11/20
>Success, with divine intent from the Moon.

Upon the great and unfettering night sky of a million unblinking eyes; you begin a desperate and rushed hymn to the Moon. The moon has been distinct in that the Great Progenitor's presence has been unable to block it out and your people have noticed it; that shining, pale, blue-hued orb that is the only familiar comfort in a darkened abyss of horror and alien intent. When your council sings, the Moon's alights, a focused lunar spotlight cuts through the nightmare and a brief pause of relief and divine contact is achieved.

The Moon's hymn is one of deliberation and duty- The Great Progenitor's thoughts becomes silenced and muffled by the calming tones of the Moon's presence.

>"My connection to your lands are tedious; he blankets the night sky over you and he fuddles the minds of your people- dampening your souls and making it difficult for me to follow your songs... I will do something; I will do something inconvenient to myself and undeserved of it's target- but through deliberation it will become clear through time.

The Light fades and the clouds of nightmare gently brush back in on a wind of madness.

>Personal Development: Akalade's "Soul" has been re-tuned.
>Akalade is an elf; a species non-native to your planet.. the moon however has "re-tuned" his soul and he is now sensitive to the distinct harmonics and symphonies of your world. He is probably not taking this very well; babies only cry after all because they are aware and hear with great clarity every song sung by every living soul before they eventually grow accustomed and these hymns becoming the background noise of life Adults ignore.

Alright... its time for the big question... How Big is the Progenitor. Big enough to be a noticable BUMP on the horizon, big enough to block out the sun for the better part of the morning.

But that isn't nearly as big as the things we've seen.

He ain't nearly Zizz sized. Zizz covers the whole sky, with its wings. when Zizz flies overhead.

Zizz, is Bigger. We Know This.
>>
>>38226606
I don't think he's quite as big as the home island but definitely about the size of one of the larger nearby ones.
>>
>>38226606
I wouldn't put all our eggs in one basket though.

The last time the Zizz got NEAR the islands it ended up nearly destroying them in a hurricane

and as far as we know it neither knows nor cares about us one way or the other
>>
>>38226674

>Consult the Weeping Scrolls written by the Blind Sages in ancient times.
>Roll 19/20
>Success, +Akalade, +Occultism

The weeping Scrolls are something that have persisted since almost the dawn of your civilization: no one knows whether or not the scrolls themselves persist through time, a cultist following constantly re-writes them, or perhaps the scrolls themselves are innately magical and possess a persistent soul that cannot be silenced by the ravages of time.

Whatever the case may be: They still remain and they are being feverishly read by any Magic-literate Cyclopes who thinks they can put an end to this potential apocalypse. Most immediately spasm and avert their gaze as soon as they've layed eye upon it- disturbed by it's writings and quickly going off to drink or wash away their problems.

A handful; just a handful though have managed to bare reading the compiled scrolls- just a few portions at a time. Some of them are moon-touched, as to be expected, but some are perfectly normal cyclopes.. and a few are even true-born Gorgons.. The most distinct reader though is Akalade.

Akalade is reading the scrolls, he is not in his suit and he is reading the scrolls. Akalade is not wearing his suit.
Akalade is visibly flushed, his hair is messy, his nose is running and he looks emotionally disturbed- his Ears constantly move and flick like that of a disturbed horse and he seems to be trying to ignore some invisible force by investing himself in complex literature.
>>
I wrote a song for Akelade and the Hydra mother, about their immortality and their relation to cyclopean people. I know now is not a good time for something as frivolous as poetry and music, but would anyone still be interested if i posted it anyway?

The Hymn of Flowers to the gardners: A cyclopean song to be sung by at least three people, with optional accompaniment instruments

The day is fast and fleeting/ And the sun sinks low in the sky

But though this ends our meeting/ we will ask you not to cry

The warmth of day may have fade/ but the moon is rising now

Our petals grow old and grayed/ but we see the weight on your brow

We love you both so dearly/so let us heal your hearts

See what we see more clearly/ In the time before we part

Chorus:

Time flies like an arrow across the evening sky
Listen to our song before we say goodbye

You've brought us joy and laughter / and we have always turned to you

Were we go you can't go after/ but our seeds belong to you

We just ask you sow them wisely/ and remember our short song

They may grow slow and shyly/ but will always play along

Chorus

>Check up on Akalade
Akalade is.. doing.. Okay(?) Akalade is being a little weird. Akalade is not all together upset, he's tired. Akalade is Tired.
>"I can.. hear everything. Everything. I can hear absolutely everything: that bug over there, the fish in the ravines, the grass, even the tiny whispers of bacteria creeping around on my skin. My equipment. I can hear my Equipment. I could handle everything else, but not what my Equipment had to say.. It.. Doesn't like me. My Equipment hates me. My Suit, everything.
>Akalade is also unwilling to admit it, but he has begun to develop an awareness of the presence of Magic and is becoming more familiar with it's application and practice. This is significant as for hundreds of years he has denied it's existance on a subjective level.

The "real" good news though is the Nightmares have stopped and Akalade seems to have slowly become more "Naturalized": He's taken a great liking to local fashion and a fondness for wearing sandals and flowing silken gowns of blue or purple, his teal hair is often tied up and stylized with flowers or coral pieces and he has been more active within his community.

It is perhaps a little bittersweet, but Akalade has finally flourished into a beautiful young man -at maybe an inopportune and depressing time- but he is at least content; a small and minuscule victory in these trying and ominous times.

Our ultimate goal is: SURVIVE

The following should be how to do so

Right now the proginetor is a major risk to us- it claims us as its own and tries to drag us back into the sea. Whatever intention it has is ill.

It has PSYCHIC POWERS that our magic seems unable to interfere with, but the might of the sun, stars, moon and Mycea seem to be able to hurt or at least hinder the creature

>Experiment with the consumption and application of Mana.
>Roll 14/20
>Success, +Progenitor cannot interfere.

Mana is a dimly glowing, bright, golden fluid- it resembles honey in a way, but it's origins are far from it: this fluid seems to flow from any great and substantial source of natural magics. It is delicious, it is nutritious, but it's chemical properties and origins are steeped in mystery and obscurity.

Your Sages though have noticed the Great Progenitor's aversion to the Fluid and this has inspired them to start actively experimenting with the substance:
>Pro-longed Consumption: Daily and constant Consumption has already been experimented and documented as it was already something both the Solar priesthood and the Cult of the weeping Sage already did on a regular basis.. And.. It doesn't appear to have any miraculous or super-natural effects beyond Clear skin, healthy and beautiful hair, and an enthralling, optimistic, charismatic mood that can't be denied.
>Moon-touched Cyclopes Exposure: They've been stuffed on Mana Biscuits and wined on Mana until no spaces remained in their stomachs before bathed in Mana for good measure. They report nothing but EXQUISITE bowel movements and uncharacteristic energy... as well as a craving for nuts.
>Expose Washed up pieces of The Great Progenitor: occasionally writhing, disgusting, black and purplish pieces of the great progenitor wash up on shore; still too healthy and aggressive for anything to take root in it. Your sages decide to pour Mana all over them; they then flee as the Masses of flesh spasm, wiggle, fume, before they burn- The smell of the mana burned flesh is disturbingly delicious and would have been impossible to resist if not for the fact that animals did not hesitate to consume it- The stain itself left behind beginning to encourage the growth of plants and shellfish.

>Roll 11/20
>Progenitor's roll 10/20
>Not success, but not necessarily failure. +Sun saw an opportunity.

You do it while it's warm, while it's sunny, and just after the depressing shadow of the morning has crept away and before the overwhelming darkness of night washes away the sky: Your people call out for Lightning, they call out and enchant their songs and hymns for a desperate cry for THUNDER- let the sky break open, let the sun extend it's cosmic hand to channel forks of radiant light, like veins pumping life giving blood.

Your people can can hear it- off in the distance, very far in the distance; you can SEE it better than you can hear it, but it's there. Dim flickers of light and a small almost cartoonish-like halo of light hovering over the tippy toppiest "head" of The Great Progenitor.
Faint glimpses of the Great Progenitor's horror are also shown and made more apparent by the crackling and calling of lightning and thunder- crashing waves against a tall, endless, figure of disturbing horror and selfish flesh.

The Great Progenitor does not "seem" phased.

>Tiny Embers- wafting on the breeze of a distance fire.

>The Hydra Mother's Favor.
>Roll 10/20
>Success.

Orochidina: Mother of Gorgons, Demi-goddess of Fertility and misconduct, & Matriarch to her people- Has been alive long enough that her true name can now be remembered and spoken and her physical reincarnation is complete.
Orochidina is a massive mother of a Hydra; possessing a small crowd of 20-30 maidens in place of heads, she is the definition of "endowed"; every last of her maidens if busty and an exaggerated of fertility and pride as she adorns her forms in the finest golden jewelries, piercings, precious gems, and tattoos that accentuate and draw attention to her buxom maidens.
She remembers her Favor, she is aware of your current "situation" and she comes immediately when summoned; slithering into your city on the mainland with grace and jiggling divine dignity that is almost surprisingly given her massive body.
She presents herself before the local Sages council; forward, seductive, clinging to the members and embracing them in her serpentine coils and heaving Gorgon cleavage.

"Listen Babies, I wasn't going to get involved. I was going to lay low; like a snake under a rock, one might say and just let this whole thing breeze over until Mycea's infection took it's course.. but I remember your Favor.." She rolls her eyes, "Aaaand..I suppose I could help. You little darlings might not know it, but back in the day I was quite an accomplished archer, until I got old and another calling found me.." Her maidens motion towards their over-burdened and full-fleshed breasts, "so I will do this: I will release an Arrow, an Arrow poisoned with Mana and aimed upon That wiggling mass spelling doom upon your door-step... The Mana as you know will exacerbate and worsen his condition, but it will not kill him. This I will do for you, darlings."

Hybridization (either cyclopean gorgons, or equal likelihood of Cyclopean/gorgon birth from Gorgon Mothers)

Or is that something she's got covered.

Is this going to use up our favor to her?

If it does, it means we lose the chance for gorgons to be able to bear eggs that will hatch into things other than other gorgons... not hybrids persay so much as whatever the father's species is?

Would really really not want to lose that opportunity.

But it's stupid to not use a favor if we'll die before we get to use it. So if there's no other way (propose the plan afterwards by the way).

>Accepted, with some slight hesitation.

>Is going to do it right now.

"Sorry, Darlings- you know how your silly little mortal heads can get when you're under pressure; I'm just gonna, go ahead and take some initiative here.." The Hydra Mother slithers off with deliberation and determination. She's slithers into the ocean and a few days later is found making her way onto the shores of your home island where she quickly moves up into the Arcanum- making a way for herself and politely excusing the Cyclopean civilians. At the Top of the Arcanum she can see The Great Progenitor clear in the distance, "My my, he's even uglier in person- good lord, look at all that wiggling and those eyes.. Bluech, positively unbecoming. Right, Anyway, Arrowhead." She quickly extends her maidens throughout the Arcanum to collect every single scrap of lay-about gold that her "Heads" can find.

She stops when she finds the Lightning Bolt- her eyes becoming wide like saucers. "Oh. My. God- You STILL have this? You've just been letting it sit in here in the fucking Aquaducts..YOU'VE JUST BEEN DRINKING IT, WHAT?! Babies, oh my- babies you're so silly. I can't believe how silly you are sometimes." Her initial shock wears off her necks and maidens begin aligning, coiling around one another, and forming a giant hand to grab the bolt. "I'm sorry darlings, but I'm confiscating this- you'll thank me later." Her form heaves and her Maidens forming the palm and fingers of a hand that firmly grasps and 'plucks' the lightning bolt to be carried off.

Full blown hybridization like half-cyclops half-gorgons (gorgons with one eye for example) has been explicitly stated to be a BAD IDEA with body horror implications. I think possibly because we've got cthulhu genetics going on and they don't.

Instead I say we go for the whole 'chance to be born from either the father or the mother's race in all cases with gorgon eggs.' Keeps the races distinct.

Orochidina's next action takes place at night; she plays off a choir of her maidens that beckon forth an ancient ray of light that pierces the Elderitch over-cast darkness in the form of a Bow. The Bow coils around in mid-air lined and reminiscent of the form of the Cosmic snake; it's bow-string a line of radiant stars. The next scene is explicitly graphic; her maidens begin tearing themselves apart; ripping and rending flesh with nail and tooth before falling over and regenerate back into fully-fledged twins of one another.
The Hydra mother continues to do this until she's grown and accumulated into a quite frankly horrifying, writhing, hissing, crowd of hundreds of hydra Maidens; they then conjoin and reform into the final body of an utterly Titanic version of herself.... And she has not sparred spending mass on doing her breasts justice.

Her form grabs the Cosmic snake Bow and the Golden Lightning bolt is drawn forth- revealed to have been molded by divine magic into a grossly incandescent arrowhead that drips and bleeds porous with viscous droplets of glowing Mana. As she Draws the Arrow back; a shaft of bone is formed, flecked scales and reptilian psuedo-feathers making up the tailing- all of her own flesh. She Takes position, coiled over the Arcanum like an all-encompassing world snake.

"Alright my darlings, cover your precious little ears- Mommies going to maim a God for you." She adjust herself (having, perhaps, spent a little "too" much mass on her breasts), she begins slowly pulling back the string on the other worldly bow, her body tightens, and Astral Maidens start to materialize to gently lay their ethereal hands upon the ears of locals.

Or at least an explanation. If she uses it to kill or weaken the elder god enough for the Zizz to take it to pieces, then I'm good, but if she reclaims it, takes it away, then we either need a DAMN good explanation for why she's taking something given to us by OUR FUCKING PATRON GOD, or she needs to owe us another favor of equal value.

Apparently in the earlier threads. I wasn't there for it. But from what I gathered, we asked the gods and they said full stop that full hybrids was a baaaad fucking idea.

If it was just the moon and sun? I'd be skeptical. Given the stars are in on it too and they're our ancestors? yeah...

Orochidina considers saying something clever or poetic- she actually wastes time, milling it over, with the draw-string pulled back and making everyone sick with anticipation. "Sorry sweeties, couldn't think of anything. Mommy is bad under pressure as well it seems." Aimed with precision, she finally releases it.

The Sheer force of the bow-string being released causes a kick-back that it sends The Hyda mother toppling over and for her to slowly revert back into her normal form through sheer shock. The Arrow itself cuts a clear path through the darkness, revealing the night sky, and letting out such a crackling, booming, deafening cry of thunder that it can be heard across the ocean. What she neglected however to remember was the light- the absolutely blinding light of the Golden Arrow being fired temporarily dazes everyone and everything for miles.

For just moment- people can almost make out the brief opening of a psychic message, "Wh-" before it's silenced.... it is then followed by the very REAL image of beam of light that connects the heavens and the earth and sends out crooked paths of lighting all across the sky that flicker with golden specks and horrendous booming after-shocks that boom and sweep over the islands; winding trees, knocking over people, and sweeping everything like a fat, heavy, breeze.

The Hydra mother has returned to normal- albeit a little disheveled as she adjusts herself, "Well, that was pretty 'neat'." She is quickly cut off "O-oh no babies."
>>
>>38231460

>>
>>38231890
my assumption was this, the Progenitor was dead but in the process of rebirthing himself a-la the Hydra Mother, he would've grown under the sea if left unchecked.

Her plan was to poison him/destroy his corpse so he couldn't come back, by poisoning him with her spores (life trumps anti-life, which really is what the progenitor is).

He's woken up pre-emptively, he is dying, but he's gonna wanna take one big swipe at us before he goes.
>>
>>38231907
Maybe. At any right he probably doesn't have anyone else to fuck up when he gets here so this could be the bad end no matter what.

And I'm the one that asked for him to come...

>>38231700

"Promise you won't be mad, but it looks like Mommy got him in the Shoulder instead of the Heart- oopsie poopsie, babies." The Hydra Mother sing-songy tone is belayed by her very concerned look. "I...think that will be good enough. I 'think' that should be good enough." She seems more inclined to slowly excuse herself than to properly elaborate on the current situation.

She slowly and nervously begins back-pedaling and slithering off to sea to swim back to the mainland, "Don't worry sweeties- He is at least maimed.. He should start feeling it in a bit there and at any rate he's a big boy; it'll still take him a couple months to get to you."

Although what she's saying doesn't install confidence; the Nightmares have stopped, his mind no longer penetrates the thoughts of your people, and the night sky is no longer polluted by his presence.

Instead he is now physically on the move and the ocean cries out with every step he takes as he brings forth a disturbing and rushed force of consumption and reclamation to take back what he has deemed as stolen from him.

So, here's the deal: The Great Progenitor is coming. There is VERY little you can do at this point and even less you can roll for.. that will come into effect in time as he is essentially "booking it".

The Zizz is not fast enough- he is simply too big.

It is at this point in time that everything seems the bleakest: The Great Progenitor is on his way and he will take back what is his and there is very little anyone can do to stop him. He is not a force of nature, he is a force that is beyond life, beyond creation, and that which pre-dates existence and the Gods themselves.
The Great Progenitor is not a god; he is a force beyond divinity.
The Great Progenitor is not alive; he is a force beyond the soul.
The Great Progenitor is a mind; he is a figment, he is an unhappy, angry, depressed thought from a bygone time where reality was the imagination of an ancient and all-encompassing being.

In these short few Months; people don't flee, they don't rung, they do not hunker, nore do they bunker. They drink, they love, the feast, and life goes about as it does and how it always has gone; casually, nonchalantly, with that Cyclopean easy-going island life.

The Waves beating down on your island homes start coming up darker, deeper, blacker, and every proceeding day they brush in farther onto land and with them bringing forth clumps and massess of fallen flesh from The Great Progenitor as it advances closer and closer towards your Civilization.

He will be here soon, he will be here soon and each day he comes a little closer the darkness lasts a little longer and hope becomes a little more sparse; his eyes ever present and watching over with greed and disgust at a world that has taken everything from him and continues to threaten his very existence.
The Great Progenitor will not be denied.
He will have his happy ending: Creation will cease, he will begin with you, your people, your plants, your livestock, your produce; everything. He will take back creation, he will put an end to his constant suffering and you will no longer know the nightmare that has been his reality- that has twisted his dreamscape into one of horrific flesh and constant anguish.

Everything living thing in the world has a song to sing and you sing yours with deliberation and dedication; to hope, to home, to love, as a testament to life and to suffering in equal share. Your people all across their Homes, Lands, Farms, Beaches, Jungles, and Hills- they Sing, they sing of everything they've ever known, have ever loved, and ever will.. and they do so unabashedly in the presence of unrelenting and overwhelming alien force.

The Great Progenitor stops- he can't seem to support his own weight. He falls to his knees and if ever a nightmarish horror could perceive regret and sadness- a longing not for forgiveness, but for a second chance. He will not save this world. He will not save anyone. Suffering will persist, the nightmare will never end and he is a failure and he knows it- He cries out once last time; a horrible, pained, and debilitating psychic yell of resentment and frustration.

no. trying to consume all life in existance is not a forgivable thing, and none of his behavior is applicable to mortal beings, so we can't learn anything from it.

I'll remember him as something I'm glad doesn't exist anymore, and that's that.

The Wall of eyes slowly begin to close one after another as if the stars in the sky were being dimmed and blinded one after another. His body creaks, it writhes, he begins slowly slumping over- bracing himself on masses of flesh to form arms as the waves come crashing down on your islands through the sheer mass of his forms weight.

The Sea itself slowly begins to recede and seemingly loses it's fear of The Great Progenitor; Birds begin clouding him, an algae bloom is present, swarms of fish start encircling and over-taking the immersed portions of him while the blackness of the depths is slowly replaced by green life-rich ember waves of fertility and growth.

His body trembles, he no longer functions, but something deep within himself begins to shuffle- to move and cause a disturbance from the confines and inner-workings of his flesh before the "top" of his head finally swells and bursts open to send forth a rich, vividly, colouful cloud of spores that obscure the horizon in a inseminating technicolour fog of life. Through the fog, while the sun slowly rises over the carcass being eaten away by all venues of life- the shadow of a Titanic Female.

Long unnaturally thick locks of hair, tearing at flesh with long nails, rending meat with tooth- She climbs and claws her way out of the body all the while clutching something in her off arm. Her form is steaming, wafting, gifting off a tremendous amount of heat that boils the water and dissuades further creatures from feeding and obscuring the sight of her. She then hunches over; ravenous and greedily tearing apart the body with her free hand and starts shoveling the flesh into her mouth- pulling and ripping, Gnashing, gasping, chewing, lip-smacking, and teeth clacking against one another- huddled and squatting over the carcass like an animal as she greedily and graphically consumes the flesh.

High-Fives everyone, Mycea is back (I hope)
>>
>>38233921
This is going to end... Well I hope. She's not exactly ever shown her brutal side, maybe she was more approving of the manticores than we thought?
>>
>>38234156

>>
>>38234156
She is a goddess of Death And Life.
I'm not sure Rebirth qualifies.

What if we aren't so much dealing with Mycea reincarnated...
But her progeny.

Mycea Jr. Rather than Mycea again
>>
>>38233921
I hope she returns the lightning bolt arrow.
>>
>>38234208
These are gods we're talking about. Part of her divine essence will be there regardless of whether its a direct reincarnation or not, and thus a part of her more than that of a parent in a child,
>>
>>38234208

then we take care of her to the best of our ability, like Mycea knew we would. let's face it: friendship has been our most powerful weapon so far.
>>
>>38234208
Well she said she was coming back. I assume it's actually her. Or a soon to be upgraded version of her.
>>
>>38233973
>>38233999
>>38234021

She feels your eyes upon her and overwhelming embarrassment and shame awash over her- but she cannot help who she is and cannot stop in what she does. There is a brief moment that feels like forever to her as she looks back from the ocean with a visibly flushed face and bright glowing divine eyes through the fog of steam and spores- before shaking her head and ruffling her hair to thicken the cloud of obscuring spores in an effort to provide some venue of shame and retain her dignity.

She lurches back down to resume her feeding; all the while it becomes more explicit the juxtaposed care and tenderness she's investing in the vague form she's clutching closely to her heart and bosom.
The Scraps start washing up on shore; great large chunks of meat that steam and visibly waft- that must be eaten quickly before they're scrounged up almost immediately by anything alive.

Even The Hydra Mother herself cannot resist the carcass and she soon unapologetically returns; devoid of manner and grace as her body aggressivly churns the waves in an effort to arrive at the kill "on-time". Nothing is spoken, there's just a partial glance as Mycea jerks her head over almost out of instinct and the two acknowledge over another before they both practically burry themselves into the carcass.

Things eventually start to calm down- The Great Progenitor apparently not having many bones beyond a spine, some ribs, and a beak that protrude from the ocean akin to the familiar geographic land marks you've come to notice in your travels.

The Two Gods quietly discuss things over, the warm morning sun at their backs, the shallow green tide washing the blood off them. Mycea seems to pass over the unidentifiable "lump" she had been guarding so carefully and The Hydra mother immediately clutches onto it with Maternal care and dedication- the lump splitting into three visibly figures that she's quick to begin nursing dutifully.

They both slowly make their way back to the Shore and everything eventually becomes clear.

The Crisis has been adverted.
The Great Progenitor has been EATEN.
Mycea: Mother & Father of Fungi, Demi-god of harvest, & physical expression of the moon. Has successfully Reincarnated- although at this moment she is willingly to admit her form is a little.. unorthodox and unbecoming of a dainty and refined lady such as herself. She finds it uncouth to be stomping across the world in her Avatar form; she is too self conscious that she will step on someone or something and she cannot bare the thought.
The Hydra Mother, Aka: Orochidina: Mother of Gorgons, Demi-goddess of Fertility and misconduct, & Matriarch to her people... isn't honestly too eager to sit around and loiter and with a quick "hello, good bye, thanks for the meal." She excuses herself and the offspring she seems to be keeping secluded and obscured.

Mycea is currently just sort of hanging out on the Shores of your Home island; she is just sort of in the after glow of current events and is just sort of "chilling out" before she walks back home and things return to normalcy.

We've also hit the bump limit and there's not much else to do or say unless you want to talk to anyone.
So, I'm gonna go archive the thread now.
I hope everybody had a great time and my story telling was on par with everyone's expectation-

>Demand Hugs from Gods.
>18x2/20
>Success. +Twin Rolls. +Mycea Wants hugs.

Your people thankfully have no fear of gods and very little personally boundaries when it comes to physical affection; The Hydra Mother is stopped in her snake tracks by hundreds of Giant Cyclopes men, women, children and elderly latching onto her for Hugs and affection. Mycea cannot help but let out a soft and familiar laugh that you've been longing to hear; that contagious giggle that comes from the stomach and ends in a sigh as she opens her arms and is immediately filled with Cyclopes before their bursting from her lap.

The Cuddles are quite divine, Mycea demands The Hydra mother stay, "Come on- Get back her Ecchi, why do we do these things, if not for our friends and family? I know you want to go BROODY, but it can wait. We've already got plenty of babies right here- come on, come on! Show them the new Babies!!" Mycea is almost giddy at this point, the Hydra mother drawing visibly annoyance from being called "Ecchi" as her maiden's roll their eyes and she slowly slithers back- dozens of Cyclopes riding ontop of her snake form.

>Ask About the Babies.
>Mycea starts to wiggle and squirm with excitement, "Oooohhh- I was so happy, I couldn't believe I was able to pull them out of the carcass when I did; okay, okay. This Orange one with the white hair- Ecchi, turn him around, yes,- He's got one eye; he's a marine demi-god of Coral! The pink one with the tail-fin is a Patron demi-god of the Merpeople." There's a brief pause, the third baby the Hydra mother does NOT want to show him- she cradles him tightly "The other little boy- The grumpy little dark blue baby with the bright eyes and the teal Tendrils; we.. haven't figured out what he is, but we love him anyway."

>The Zizz
>"Oh, well..That's going to be Awkward." You've killed Mycea's baby buzz.

>Consuming Mana?
>The Hydra mother- as she gently pushes away and slaps the hands of intrepid and grabby paternal and maternal Cyclopes; is the one to answer this. "Mana is a concentrated form of.. I supposed you'd refer to it as-" Mycea seems to be giving The Hydra mother the stink eye. Apparently she wasn't supposed to say anything about Mana and you've put her in an awkward position. "I just think it's silly that they were eat-" Mycea gives a slight 'tisk' and slowly brushes the fungal tendrils from her face.

>Custody of Babies.
>The Hydra Mother immediately begins coiling around herself and Mycea slowly shrugs her shoulders- giving little pets to the Cyclopes hovering around her. "That.. is out of my authority. Despite her behavior; Mistress Orochidina is the most qualified for the position of Mother. I have my utmost faith in her ability and I hope you will too" There's a long drawn out sigh and Mycea motions to her chest, "I'm just a mushroom my loves, this tap has been running dry for quite sometime."

The Merpeople slowly start coming forward- Your people are visibly shocked, but they start awkwardly and sheepishly crawling forward before The Hydra Mother of all people chimes in, "Yes- yes, we have your kid too- come on, if we're letting the clam apes look at theirs we may as well get you lot in the action as well." Mycea becomes flustered, "MANNERS, woman!" The Hydra Mother's confidence seems to be growing and she beckons out, "Wait, wait- lets get Akalade. Akalade should be here as well- Someone get Akalade."

inb4 the Sun just shot his load onto the planet and we're all just gobbling up his jizz

Speaking of gorgon half breeds... Would the goddesses be willing to help us out on this too?

Not an actual fused race, but like what's been said before. Father's race hatched from a gorgon's egg.

Mycea seems... a little hesitant, but she agrees that Akalade should be here and that it would probably be good for him to not keep him away from such an important local event: The Hydra mother is more than pleased to put Mycea in an awkward position and almost immediately sent out a Head to pluck Akalade from what he was doing and bring him over.

Akalade is.. a little flustered; he isn't entirely aware of what's going on and is mostly just assuming this is in fact just a really weird baby shower- Your people do have a tendancy to get excited about things coming out of you just as much as coming into them after all... That is until he notices someone he recognizes.

It isn't Mycea- Mycea is actually relieved that Akalade doesn't recognize her; if anything Mycea is actually very curious about the physical changes and the tones and distinct atmosphere Akalade's presence is giving off- he doesn't feel like an "elf" anymore. His scent is pleasant, there's a certain vibrant and alluring colour to his complexion and markings and he's.. "nice". He nice. Mycea likes him- He gets a hug.

Akalade recognizes the Dark Blue Baby. The Grumpy, cranky looking one with the Teal Tendrils for hair.
He doesn't know where, but it looks familiar to him- He can't help but look at it.. He feels as though he's seen the baby or something resembling it before. The Baby seems to recognize Akalade- Reaching his giant, pudgy, fat, demi-god baby hand and giving Akalade's little Elven hand a squeeze of acknowledgement.

Akalade is Happy. Baby hype is contagious.
Mycea is Thrilled.
The Hydra mother wants to go home and wants all these unwashed, dirty, mortals to stop touching her babies.

This is perfect- he's an orangy/pinkish/creamsicle kind of colour scheme.

The Merpeople have the tails on their HEADS- Think of like.. I guess a Zora from the legend of Zelda? Except.. like Dolphin texture as opposed to Fish texture- if that makes any sense.
I'm tired.
She is pink though.

Well they're just babies- they won't become more unusual and epic looking until they're older/I've had time to plan out their design.

Ecchi is a pet name Mycea gave to the Hydra mother.

>>38236723

The Blue Baby and our Coral baby are both boys.
>>
>>38236729
Oh whoops. I guess I misunderstood that converation.

I guess we could mess around with names for our newborn demigods' names then if that is the case.

Should we brainstorm that now that the thread is pretty much concluded... or do you have something in mind noble OP.
>>
Is there a unique quality to a cyclop's singing voice? Are they all good singers?
>>
Alp.
>>
>>38236801
Are people don't name themselves. Why would we try and name the newborns? If they want to have names they will name themselves.
>>
>>38236820
More like constant practice and it's hard to sound bad singing in a group. Humans for example harmonize their voices when singing together, though it takes training and practice to make it perfect... Cyclops get lots of training.
>>
>>38236848
True this. But gods have names! They're special!
>>
>>38236848
A good point. The Hydra Mother will probably pick out names for them anyway.
>>

OP?
>>
>>38236888
No. Just somebody who spends way too much fucking time reading Wikipedia and informational articles.
>>
>>38236881
>>38236876
Both of these are true. I hope they're cute... or wait... Noble? CUte?

Crap I have no idea what to name these newly birthed collective ideas given manifest in flesh form.

Wheo, means coral. We could go with Sango and Izumo to keep an -o theme going with their names. Again that is unless OP has ideas.

or we could keep the Maori theme going and name the other two, Ika and Puru Pouri. Seems suitably Islandy.
>>
>>38236926
We could let them choose their own names? Or ask what their names were before the progenitor got them? It's not like they're entirely new entities, they've been reborn.
>>
>>38236922
I was asking because of how ingrained singing and the Hymns are in the Cyclopean people. I wonder if it gives them a sort of ethereal quality to their voices or anything.
>>
>>38236964
Oh! Pretty much core to our culture. Almost 100% of our worship, Arcanistry, and magic uses hymns.
>>
>>38236944
I thought they were.
Entirely new entities that is. The Gods of this world were first born from the corpses of the terrors before. What we're dealing with is a Chronos Moment. we peeled entirely new God beings from the Godhead of The Progenitor. Or at least that is what I'm assuming.

He didn't eat these three to take them from us... These three, are the last representations of Himself, divided to be like us.

such as we are of the progenitor's flesh, these demigods, are the last true smallest divisible fragments, of the progenitor.
>>
>>38236980
Wait sorry, I misread. Hen, I guess it could? But I wouldn't know. Do they need to be supernaturally good? That much practice would make most cyclops God-tier singers.
>>
>>38236988
Then why is the tentacle one attracted to the elf? Whose race he convinced apparently to purge itself of living natural substances... If that were the case there should be no special attraction except to the changelings?
>>
>>38237027
They don't /need/ to be. I just think it'd be cool if nobody could sing quite as well as a cyclops. To sort of add a layer to their mystique. Something like their songs being so beautiful it'd almost be considered a privilege to hear them.

That's the mystery.
Maybe in lieu of Changlings being there he went for the only one who's shape was changing (Akalade).

Maybe Bluebaby isn't a Changling patron, he seems kind of... Moist, for a race of Clay shapeshifters that reside in a desert.

Maybe Bluebaby, is closer to the progenitor than we'd like to admit? Maybe he is a spiritual bottle of Progenitor essence... Our Sweet P.
>>
>>38237192
or maybe he is a patron of an as of yet, unseen, race.
>>

"Stop.

I have learned much from you.

Thank you, my teachers.

And now for your education.

Before there was time, before there was anything, there was nothing.

>>
>>38237227
>Before there was time, before there was anything, there was nothing.
>And before there was nothing, there were monsters.

That really is way more accurate to our cosmology than it has any right to be.

Its kind of worrying.

Is anyone else re-reading the Progenitor's Dialogue and putting Ron Perlman's voice to it? Or is that just me?
>>
>>38237227
>>38237299

consider this:

if before there was anything, there were monsters, before there could be anything, the Lich had to kill everything.

Mycea is, in this scenario, the Lich. if anyone has Perlman's voice, it's her.

That seems like a bit of a stretch.
>>
>>38237374

life literally oozes out of the Progenitor's corpse. plants, wildlife and Demigods alike are all compelled to consume it. not to mention that we know the merfolk come from the Progenitor, and we come from the merfolk.

it's not as much of a stretch as I'd like it to be.

>>
>>38237299
That face when the Lich's best lines could've easily been the Progenitors

"You are alone, child.

There is only darkness for you, and only death for your people.

These ancients are just the beginning.

I will command a great and terrible army, and we will sail to a billion worlds.

We will sail until every light has been extinguished.

You are strong, child, but I am beyond strength.

I am the end, and I have come for you"
>>
>>38237429
>life literally oozes out of the Progenitor's corpse. plants, wildlife and Demigods alike are all compelled to consume it.

The way I view it is that the Progenitor is straight up Anti-Life. Not Death, because to die you need to be alive in the first place. The Progenitor is a sentient void of being. If he is nothiness, if he is the anti-life, the extinction of hope and the end and non-beginning of all things, the existance of life must've forced him to EXIST, to feel, and I must assume he hated that.

Why yes I do frequent /co/ and i do quite enjoy weird meta monsters like Mandrakk or Darkseid or Nekron.

>>38237549
I guess i can see that, but still seems kind of but that isn't exactly living either. Its existing. He is mere Existence then. We are life, and life that lives feels and experiences, rather than simply existing.

I dunno i think i'm talking out my own ass at this point.

Does make me wonder what the redworld could be... A world where a progenitor like entity won, and has free reign and feeds freely off the creatures that feed off its body?
