You are Cenric, Germanic noble of the Bearcaster clan. You have successfully engaged and slain a force of Chausci soldiers, the tribe who has attacked and burnt your city to the ground. Through interrogation, you have found that they were not the ones who kidnapped your Queen or your people. One step closer, 2 steps further away.-------------------------------------The inside of your family house is completely unchanged from when you last left it. Odd, you think, soldiers are normally allowed to loot their fill when razing a city..You go to your room while Ema washes Berengar and Oskar goes to pick up his armor. Inside is a chest containing your personal armor and your personal weapon, made the day you officially became a man. You smile when you remember how much Roza teased you about how you were "finally growing up" a year after she underwent the coming of age ceremony. You shake your head and go to take out of the chest:> Type of armor> Light armor> Heavy armor> Write in > (Feel free to find a picture of the armor you want Cenric to battle in!)> Type of weapon (Feel free to come up with a name!)> Sword (Information in later post)> Axe > Hammer > Other> If you like, you may have a ranged weapon as well!> Throwing knives> Throwing spears> Bow (Long or short)> OtherKit yourself out!
>Ambush Anon made some good points last thread, I'm reposting his post for posterity's sake.----------------------------------Alright I've got some> Type of armor> Write in Celtic chainmail, a lot of germans used celtic or roman armor and weapons due to the lack of iron in the area. Since we are a diplomat to Rome, we probably have a roman auxilia helmet given to us as a gift or something. We would have a celtic cloak for the weather and status.> Type of weapon (Feel free to come up with a name!)> Sword (Great, long, short, etc.)Since iron is relatively rare, we would have a seax. Its within reason to have a gladius or spatha depending on how important we are or how much we deal with the romans.> If you like, you may have a ranged weapon as well!> OtherSpears, throwing spears. The backbone of the germanic people of the time is the spear.>shields? Probably a germanic hide shield in the pic, with a boss for bashing. Don't wanna ruin the priestess's shield now

>>38247303You are free to use her shield if you want. Regardless, it will be in your possession unless you choose to stash it somewhere.Ema is her handmaiden, so if you do not use it you could give it to her. Options are abound.
Writing now, I think it's been long enough.
You take out the armor crafted for you by your late father. It is reinforced leather covered with a mail. You change into the armor, finding that the craftmanship is of fine enough quality to make movement all but silent. You put on the auxilia helmet gifted to you for your assistence with one of Rome's recent slave rebellions near the border. You attach your sheath holding your gladius, the sword Rome gave to your grandfather during the first treaty agreement between your peoples. There is a reinforced shield, similar in quality to Rozalina's shield, that has an ornate bearpaw painted on its face. Finally you take out a quiver of throwing spears, five in total, as well as two throwing knives you strap in particular hiding places throughout your armor. You always were taught to be prepared, after all.You look at the diplomat robes you returned home with. They are covered in ash and blood, but the sash is still in presentable shape.> Do you keep the sash? If so, do you wear it now or just have it in your inventory? You pick up Rozalina's shield and walk back out to the common room. Oskar seems to have moved to his bedroom while Ema is still washing Berengar.>What shall you do?> Talk with Oskar> Talk with Ema> Place the shield where Ema will find it and go to sleep.> Other

>>38248320Hmm I'll go talk to Oskar then
>>38248190> Talk with Oskar
Anything in particular you want to talk with Oskar about? Future plans, potential allies, and speculation on just what is going on are all viable options.
>>38248670For now let's try to gauge his attitude about the current situation them move into plans and allies
You walk into Oskar's room to find him mostly undressed. His travelling outfit is in a heap next to his bed, and he is in the process of strapping on his Roman plate armor. He turns to you when you walk in and breaks out into a grin."There you are brother!" He approaches and pulls you into a fierce hug. "We sure did show those bastards what it means to be a true German!"You smile. "Traitors will never stand a chance against the Bearcaster clan."Oskar responds with a booming laugh. "Come, celebrate with me Cenric." He motions to the vase and pile of mugs on his table. "That's the last of Father's ale, and I'm sure he would have wanted us to finish it off after the battle we had!""Before we do that, Oskar, I think we need to talk."Oskar's jovial manner quickly shifts to match your seriousness. "You wish to discuss the situation we have found ourselves in."You nod. "I want to know what you think.""Hm." Oskar walks over and sits on his bed, taking a moment to think. You wait patiently."There is a lot I do not know. All of that political nonsense was always your focus, but I can't help but think we are going to have to be careful. However much I want to take my axe and cleave the bastards who did this to the Brisgavi tribe.." Oskar slams his fist into the wall next to him. Dust falls from the ceiling. "We need to gather an army, is what I think. Politicians may have pretty words, but 5,000 blades can easily cut through their honeysweet lies!"".. We will need more than that."Oskar refocuses at you. "What do you mean?""Gunther of the Chausci tribe is said to have 25,000 Germans under his command, and a direct attack on them is likely to pit us against Rome. Hermann is still among the Roman ranks the last I heard, and he is one of the High Generals of the Chausci.""Then we will gather together a bigger army! One true German is worth 30 of those traitors."You and Oskar share a fierce grin.> [Choices next]
>>38249663> What do?> Ask about potential allies. You have a few factions in mind, but you would like to hear Oskar's take..> Talk of alliances can wait until tomorrow when you are with Ema, tonight we drink!> Ask him about something else (Write In)> Leave him, talk with Ema> Other

>>38249887>>38250091Alright, writing.I am a little worried about the small size of the player base. I can't help but think that there's something going wrong with the quest itself, my writing style, etc.Hopefully it'll continue to grow as I continue to write, eh? Thanks for playing along, by the way.
"Who do you think we should turn to to recruit this army, Oskar?""First we need to find where the rest of our tribe went, I am sure the survivors will be more than willing to fight.""That's a given, but I have no idea where they've gone.""The Chausci took them, isn't that obvious? They stole Rozalina and ran off with our clan!"You shake your head. "No, they said when they came here the city was deserted. At least, Gunther's army isn't responsible.""Are you going to honestly trust those traitors, Cenric?"You pause. He does raise a good point. Perhaps you should investigate?"Regardless of the truth of the matter, we do not have the resources or the manpower to take such a risk."Oskar grumbles. "I don't like it, but I guess you're right. If we need soldiers fast, we can always turn to one of the mercenary bands.""We would need gold for that.""Not if you promise them all the loot they can carry and sway them with your speeches.""I may be good, but mercenaries are rarely prone to listening to politician talk. You forget, there is the Chatti tribe to our south. King Theodoricus has always been a devout supporter of the Priestess and a close ally to the Brisgavi."Oskar's face turns sour. "That old fool? He's always ranting about the evil of Rome, but he goes and takes on a Roman name? There isn't something right in his head, I tell ya.""We don't need him, we need his men."You both pause for a moment."... What if we used slaves?"You glare at Oskar. "If you are suggesting we dishonor German law, I will-""Wait wait, here me out. We can sneak into Chausci and start a rebellion there! It would weaken them from within, like you always talked about."He does have a point. "We could we use the.. slaves," You can't help but spit in disgust. "But I am sure there are honorable Germans who are resistant to Chausci's traitorous ways.""Not only that Oskar, we could also go to Rome for help. We've been allies for nearly a decade now."> [Cont.]
>>38250835"Eh... I don't feel right about going to those smooth talking Italians, they always leave a bitter taste in my mouth when you talk to them."It looks like you have multiple directions you can go, and some are better than others. You are leaning towards..> Finding your tribe first, that is the most important.> Chatti, the King will definitely hear your tale.> Chausci, while slave uprisings are despicable, they have merit. > Mercenary band. While they are uncouth at best, they are fierce fighters.> Rome. They are the most powerful ally you can get in the area, but Italians can be slimey> Don't decide now, you need to talk with Ema first.> You do not have to decide immediately, and you can pick multiple allies in the long run. "I think we should approach Theodoricus, and in doing we can use his information to help our search for the rest of our tribe."Oskar nods. "Now, we've done enough talking. Let us drink!" You shake your head. "Sorry Oskar, maybe later. I'm going to go check on Ema."Oskar waves you out and goes to pour a mug of ale. You can probably join him later, if you wish. You walk across the house and enter the indoor stable area. There you see Berengar, who is sitting and perfectly clean, and Ema, who is holding the wolf tightly and burying her face into his fur. Her shoulders are shaking. Before you can leave her alone, she turns and faces you. She wipes her eyes and sniffs repeatedly as she disengages from Berengar. He nuzzles up to her side and Ema smiles as she pets him."If you want to talk about what happened Cen.. I'm not ready for that yet."You shake you head. "Take your time, I understand."You turn to leave. "Cen, we need to find Eburwin. We have to find the bastards who took him!"Ema is holding back her tears in determination.> What do/say?
>>38251570She was screaming his name when you found her kicking the Chausci soldier in the first thread. You know multiple Eburwins in the city. It seems that he's important to her in some way, based on how her voice is cracking as she says his name.
>>38251445>>38251633Okay "Ema don't worry I promise you I'll find our tribe, I'll never stop looking for them in this world or the next. I'll devote my entire being towards it. The bastards who did this will pay."It may be best to ask for specifics later
"Ema don't worry. I promise you I'll find our tribe, I'll never stop looking for them in this world or the next. I'll devote my entire being towards it. The bastards who did this will pay."You notice that your right hand is clenched into a fist by the end.Ema's troubled face relaxes a little at your words, determination shining through. She gives you a curt nod. "I'll do my best to help you, Cen.""Get some sleep tonight Ema. We will be leaving this city tomorrow and heading towards Chatti lands.""Ah, right, about that." She pauses as you cock an inquisitive eyebrow at her. "Do you think we can make a stop along the way? "Of course, Ema." She smiles, letting the tension in her shoulders loosen."Thank you Cen." She stands up. "I think I am going to bed soon."You both walk out of the stable area and Ema enters one of the guest rooms with Berengar close behind. You enter Oskar's room and he silently offers you a mug full of ale. You accept it and sit beside him. You both begin to drink mug after mug in brotherly silence, a tradition you both started after your Father died. Each downed drink is a prayer to the ancestors. After 6 mugs of ale, Oskar speaks. "I mish him, ya'know? That wiley bashtard."The last time either of you talked about your father was last winter, and it turned your brotherly drinking into a heated brawl. The roles were reversed then, with you being the one admitting you missed him."I think I hated him until after he died. Why? I 'unno, mom died and he jusht turned into a bashtard."You down another mug of ale. It seems that Oskar wants to ramble about your father for the first time.> Let him talk. He loved you an'... He never paid no mind to me."You can't help but chuckle at that. "Oskar, that's surprising. I always thought the old bastard hated me!"Your brother turns to you. "Whatcha mean?""I mean, he always acted like a right asshole to me and talked about how I needed to be strong like you.""He alwaysh tol' me that I needed to be shmart like you.""You know what I think, Oskar?""Wha'?""Fathers will always be bastards."A beat passes.Oskar then roars with laughter, swinging to clap you on the shoulder. He misses, tumbles out of the chair he was sitting, and slammed into the floor. You burst out laughing as well, leaning backwards in your chair until you lose balance as well. The both of you, battle-hardened soldiers, were laughing like young lads. You both laugh until you fall asleep.-------------------------------------The next day you are hiking towards Chatti territory. You were not able to find any horses after looking around the city that morning, so what would normally be a 3 hour ride looks like it will take most of the day.> [Cont.]
>>38253887Your bear cloak billows out from behind you as you walk. The snow from the previous day did not stick to the ground, and this morning it had stopped. The wind through the trees sounds to be swirling. It sounds like the world is prepared for your journey, so you take it as a good omen for things to come. You reach the woods and find a spear in the ground, blade pointed to the heavens. Ema points at it excitedly."There! Lady Rozalina said that we had to follow these to find Dag'ny."You cock an eyebrow at her. "Did she leave instructions? Because I doubt this Dag'ny fellow will be of any use if he is with the Gods."Ema blushes for a moment and looks away from you. "Well, I mean.. wait, let me think..." You all stand there for a moment. "She said we had to come from our town and head towards Chatti lands, and.." After a couple of minutes, she blows out her cheeks in frustration. "She said something about letting the shield guide you?" She holds up Rozalina's shield. Rolled 55 (1d100)Looks like we're letting Ema figure it all out?Just rollin' a die, whatevs.
Ema looks at the shield, the spear, back and forth for a couple of minutes. Oskar rubs his temple, his hangover getting the best of him."I think.. We should go left!" Ema marches triumphantly with Berengar beside her. You and Oskar share a look and follow her. After an hour of walking, you find yourself in a small clearing with a tiny hut in the center.Ema beams as she skips up the its door. "See, I told you it was this way!" She knocks on the door.A beat passes. She knocks on the door again, frowning.Berengar growls."It looks like no one is ho-" The upper half of the door swings inward and out dives a stark naked man. He tackles Ema to the ground, causing her to scream and Berengar to dive onto him. The man rolls under the wolf's flight, laughing. "I see, I see! A peep, two pops, and a woof came for a looksie!" He springs up and you see that he has a gray beard matted with all manner of sticks, dead plants, and feathers. "Hey geezer, what in the gods name is wrong with you?" Oskar takes out his axe and approaches the man."Ooo! OOOO! The pops came to say boo!"It seems that the situation is escalating.> What would Cenric like to do?

"Oskar, Berengar, stand down." Both stop their advance on the old man. Ema sits up, still dazed."There's a speaker in the lead pop! He's got words, words, and they be spinning my head like a top! Should I dance and plead, or scream and squee? Or perhaps I should buzz around like a fun little bee!" The man begins to do cartwheels around Ema, causing her to sputter and blush at his nakedness."Dag'ny, is that your name? We were told by Queen Rozalina to find you." Your voice is cold."Serious! How serious! If you keep that up everything you love will be precarious!" He stops his cartwheeling, turns to you and bows. "Tis me, Dag'ny of morals and scruples! What do you need, oh great fool of the world's ripples?""I, what?" You blink. This man is absolutely mad, why was Roza associating with him? "Confusion, are ye? I know you are here because you need me! I shall attend to your journey and keep the demons away. Do as I say, or the Gods shall lead you astray!"He dives into his hut once more. The three of you share a look. Berengar sits down and cocks his head to the side, tongue lolling out.Ema is the first to speak. "Is this guy for re-" Dag'ny rolls out of his hut once more. He dressed in mismatched furs, pieces of clothing, and even a plate of armor around his left leg. He carries with him a gnarled branch taller then he is and a leather bag filled to the brim."Let us go and be free, bretheren of truth! We shall find those enemies of Roza the Lover and make them go poof!"He marches off towards the direction of Chatti territory."Aye, Gods, what has the Queen given us?" You can't help but sigh.Ema stands up. "I guess.. I mean, should we follow him?"Oskar sheaths his axe and grumbles as he follows Dag'ny. "You mean he didn't know how to swim?""Yes, yes you understand now! Roza had led you both outside of the city late one full moon to the lake for the first time. She giggled and smiled all the way there, saying she had a fun surprise for you. You arrived and she dove into the water. She told you to join her and you froze, terrified. She tried to splash the water at you and you ran.During the next full moon, she took you out to the lake again. This time she held your hand as you both walked into the water. Your fear was gone with her presence, and every full moon after you both would swim in the lake. The next day, your Father yelled at you for leaving the pig pen open. You ran around all day, desperately searching for them and succeeding to find all but one. Father's prize sow.Berengar nuzzled the side of your leg, casting the memory from your thoughts."Hello there white wolf, you have been performing brilliantly." I can't seem to get a handle on him."Berengar was about to give you a small bark before he swings his head to the side, freezes, and growls. The rest of your party stops as well, getting into cover. You follow Berengar's gaze and see a line of Germans wearing shoddy armor and clothing in a somewhat distant clearing. They have a line of women tied together in a rope chain and they are roughly pulling them along.Ema quietly gasps beside you. "I know those women, they're from Brisgavi!"> What is the plan of action, gentlemen?

Quick Tactical update:The bandits are moving in the same direction you are, just from a different angle. You are currently in front of them, but not directly so.You have evergreen trees for cover, but this area of the forest is empty of most undergrowth. The trees are not extremely dense, but you could disappear into the treeline for hit and run tactics. It seems that they are gathering women, and you have a rather attractive one at your disposal.Dag'ny does not seem to have any combat capabilities except for his staff. You have your gladius, your shield, 5 throwing spears, and 2 throwing knives.Oskar has his two-handed axe and his backup gladius.Ema has her sling, the dagger you gave her, and Roza's shield.

So to confirm:Dag'ny is kept in reserve as Cenric and Oskar get set up in an ambush position.Ema runs out, baits some of the guards, and runs back to the ambush location where she engages in melee with the first guy that arrives. The brother send a volley of spears before also engaging in melee.(I assume Berengar enters into the melee at this point at well? Or would you like him to engage those staying with the women?)After eliminating the targets, you move as a group to engage the remainders around the women.Do I got the gist of it?

At least he knows to be quiet during combat.Ema flanks around the bandit line while you and Oskar ready your spears and hide. You see her dash out infront of the slavers and freeze. They freeze as well."Oh no, I am a lost and confused Brisgavi woman! Whatever will I do, I am helpless! Please don't capture me and make me a slave! Ema turns and runs like a dazed 4 year old, stumbling over invisible roots and looking behind her every few steps. The nine men charge after her through the trees, leaving the last one cursing and tying the rope to the nearby tree.As she gets to the clearing before you and Oskar, she looks backwards one more time and trips, throwing her arms into the air and screaming before collapsing onto the ground. "Oh no! Now the baddies will catch me! Whatever will I do?"At this the bandits roar a battle cry of pure desire. The fastest of the slavers bounds up to her with a hungry look. "Hi thar swee' thang, I'ma do ya real goo' before da res' of me brudda's catch up!""Really now?" Ema springs up and stabs her dagger into him repeatedly as she gets to her feet. Twice in the genitals, once in the gut, three times in the chest, and a final one into his left eye.The man moaned in pain before toppling over. Ema bent down to pick up his weapon, a handaxe, and calls out, "Who else wants a piece of me? Who thinks they're a big enough boy for me?"A rabid howl echoes through the forest as the next wave of slavers sprints through the forest. You and Oskar ready your spears..> Roll 1d100, I will take the best of the first 3
Rolled 64 (1d100)>>38257502Trying againI may be the only anon left btw
Rolled 48 (1d100)>>38257502>>38257735There's at least one other

>>38257735>>38257753>>38257799Pretty average.Writing now.
>>38257835>Cen: 64>Oskar: 25
Oskar throws his spear far too hard and ends up hitting a tree branch 4 feet above the incoming slavers. Your spear flies into one of the slaver's thigh, causing him to collapse. One down, but not out."For Brisgavi!" Oskar roars as he unsheaths his axe, counter charging one of the bandits. You draw your gladius and follow Oskar's lead. Berengar flanks around the side.Oskar collides with one of the men in the charge and both stumble back away from each other. Ema blocks a slashing blow with her shield, which she responds with a punch in the man's gut.You lock shields with your target, grinding his charge to a halt. The rest of the slavers stop their dead sprint. "'Ey, we got fighters here!" "Let's git 'em!"> Roll 1d100 for combat. Feel free to specify what you would like Cenric to do.>Would you like for Cenric to enter RAGE mode next round? (Will post explanation in a moment.)
>>38258014RAGE Mode:When in combat, Cenric can enter RAGE mode. Think RAGE mode as going into a berserker state, only because of his personality it would be a COLD RAGE rather than Oskar's HOT RAGE.This will make Cenric go into a berserker state that can best be described as sadistic, calculating, and cruel.I will ask for 5 rolls, and any rolls that are in the range of 1-10 or 90-100 or doubles are "CRITS."The number of CRITS are how many rounds Cenric is in the berserker state, where combat is the sole focus. Pain, wounds, and other inconveniences are ignored until RAGE mode is complete. In order to end RAGE mode early, you will have to roll 1d20 and make a Will save. The DC for this save will decrease by 2 from 18 with each round until RAGE mode is finished. If the Will save fails, the DC will not decrease for that round.
Rolled 99 (1d100)>>38258069Yes to rage modeLet's quickl kill the downed guy, then do as much damage we can as quickly as possible
>>38258163You are currently locking shields with a slaver. The downed guy is out of the fight, you fucked up his leg real good.Nice roll, by the way.Once RAGE mode is confirmed, then I will call for another round of rolls. I will need 5, so feel free to roll as many as you want.
>>38258014Shield Bash his shit then knock him out we need a captive >>38258163>99
>>38258213Well we're vastly outnumbered and it's not like we have a Germanic Shaman out there in the forest or anythingSo I'll back the RAGE Cen probably roight and propa pissed now
Rolled 8 (1d100)>>38258213Then let's shieldbash the guy we're Locked with, cut him open, then captain America shield throw whoever is closest to Oskar, and continue the fightIs it bad to be in rage mode when we aren't fighting?
Rolled 84, 17, 20 = 121 (3d100)> Note to self: ask for actions before asking for rolls.> Ignore my dice, just rollin'

Rolled 84 (1d100)>>38258213
>>38258294RAGE mode implies you are overflowing with righteous fury. In Cenric's case, his sadistic side comes out and he takes pleasure in ending the lives of his enemies. If you were to activate RAGE mode outside of a combat situation...The streets will run red with blood.>>38258294>>38258329>>38258366I'm sorry to do this to you guys, but you are going to have to reroll.> 5d100 for RAGE Mode must be linked to THIS post. >>38258539> Let's kill some fucking scum.
Rolled 99, 48, 30 = 177 (3d100)These bastards are taking your women. These bastards are ACTUALLY TAKING YOUR WOMEN.These fucking dogs are RIGHT NOW TAKING BRISGAVI WOMEN FROM YOUR LANDS.They die. Its as simple as that. The simpleton in front of you, a wee lad you notice, he dies later. You slam your shield into his. You hear the bones in his upper arm snap as you twirl your Gladius around. You uppercut him with the hilt of your sword and you watch as his eyes loll into the back of his head.To your left you see one of them getting the better of Ema. She is down to one knee, blocking wild strikes from the poor fool's axe. He doesn't even see you as you grab his long hair from behind. You pull his head back and down into your waiting knee. As his head bounces back up, you thrust your gladius underneath his collarbone and deep into his chest. You stare into his eyes as his head rests on your knee and blood gurgles up from his throat. You cock your head to the side as you see the realization of what happened shine through the filthy dog's confusion.A beat passes. You scream an inarticulate roar directly into his face. He tries to scream back, succeeding in only splurting blood against your cheeks and making a gasping moan. You pull the blade out of his chest and drop your knee, causing the scum to fall onto the ground.YOu then proceed to stomp his on his face repeatedly. You begin to cackle and grin as more blood flies out."You stole them! You stole them from my home! I will find your home and burn IT to the ground and steal YOUR women!"You hear a visceral crunch and decide to stop your stomping. You scan your eyes around the rest of the battlefield.Oskar has his axe lodged in the bandit's shoulder, blood spraying freely in the air.Ema is up beside you, blocking you with her shield.> [Cont.]Ignore the rolls.
Rolled 35, 9, 72 = 116 (3d100)>>38259083You watch Berengar try and attack one of the soldiers from the side. The bandit sees him just in time and lands a vicious kick against his torso, sending him back into the forest. You hear his whimpers. He hurt your wolf. You point to him. "You die next, criminal scum!">How does he die?>There are 6 men remaining, including the poor fool with the spear in his leg.
>>38259083Holy shit, what is even English?

>>38259312Thanks for coming out!Writing now.
As you call out to him, the slaver turns towards you.You respond by hurling the axe at your feet into his chest. He stumbles back, shocked, and you're already on him. You kick the head of the axe deeper into his chest. The handle shatters under your foot and the slaver is propelled onto his back. You are on top him with a handful of dirt. "Hey there!" Your voice is cheery and your smile is wide. Blood runs down his chest, oh the beautiful blood..."I bet you're worn out from escorting all those fine ladies, right? I assume that someone from such a noble birth as yours was nothing but the utmost proper in your conduct with them. You must be hungry!" You rest a finger on your chin and look up. Our of the corner of your eye, you see Ema engaging with a nearby bandit. Looks like she's protecting you. In the distance you hear Oskar's roar and see a spray of blood arch through the air. "Ahh, so beautiful!"You look back down at your next victim. The terror in his eyes is just so delicious!"To thank you for protecting those pure and untouched Brisgavi women, I am going to feed you my special recipe!"You drop your shield and hold open his jaw. You then plunge the dirt in your hand down his gullet. His eyes widen in panic as you stuff more dirt down. "Now, isn't that good? A meal fit for the Emperor, if I say so myself!"The man begins to sputter and cough violently. You stop feeding him and your expression turns sad. "... You.. You don't like it? But that was my grandmama's family recipe.."You suppress a sniffle, grabbing the broken handle at your side. "It looks like I will have to give you your dessert, then." You stab the handle into the dirt pile in his mouth. You pull, slowly wrenching his jaw off of his skull. He silently screams. You only look heartbroken. "You didn't like my meal. You are mean. Mean people deserve to be punished."> [Cont.]
>>38259731You pull one final time and you watch as his cheeks tear and his jaw becomes unhinged. Blood oozes around and into the dirt, pouring down the sides of his face. The man's eyes roll back into his head as he grows silent from the pain. You stand up, leaving him to bleed to death.> Four bandits leftYou see the big guy from earlier run into the fray. He seems to be wielding dual shields.> Five bandits left> [To be continued...]Thank you so much for coming out!The thread is now open for Q/A, where you can air any criticisms you have, questions you want to ask, and anything else you want to say!
>>38259731>>38259771Lel, we dun lost our mindsIt's been fun, QM. Know of the next time you'll have the thread up?
>>38259771I enjoyed the thread and surprised at the small number of respondersAs a reader of Caesars 'commentaries on the Gallic war' I find your setting very interesting and exciting.Next thread when? D'you have a twitter?
>>38259831>>38259834Twitter and other information is at the top of the thread. Here's the little bird anyway: @AD7QGermaniahttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Save%20the%20Princess This thread is archived here, feel free to vote up the threads if you enjoyed!Check the twitter for definite thread times, but I'm thinking Tuesday at 6-7 EST. I think there are an average amount of total players. I got a namefag last thread, which was exciting. I just hope that the playerbase will continue to grow, and we can all enjoy slaughtering traitors and scum together. We've been fighting the lowliest of the scrubs lately. While RAGE mode is awesome, if used irresponsibly it can seriously fuck you over.
I feel the combat is fun. Do you feel the combat is fun? I hope so.You know what else I think is going to be fun? PLOTS, SCHEMES, AND INTRIQUE
>>38260144*intrigueWhy need shemes when you can just rage and rip their jaws offIt is pretty fun, I like the combat.
>>38260180*schemesThank you, by the way. My spelling is the worst when I'm tired. You are one man. One of the main antagonists has an army of 25,000 at his disposal. To save your friends lives while killing the enemy, sometimes you have to dabble in politics. Not every problem can be fixed with a boot to the face, sadly.Or can they?Quick question: Do you feel the conversing at the beginning of the thread was done well? I think it might have ran a little long, but I'm unsure.
>>38260262Felt fine to me, but I like character development. If combat is a larger part of the quest than character development, do that, or whatever other system you think is pivotal. But a little dialogue is always good.Keep in mind I've never ran a quest, just going with how I'd run things.
>>38260334Good to hear. Dialogue is going to contain a ton of different things on top of character development. Pay attention to what people say is my advice. There's also the maybe-totally-not-critical information to be found in Ema's recounting of events. Trauma's a bitch though.
>>38260429I shall remember that, maybe.I'll be catching up in the archive by the next thread, so I'll get a little more of a feel for the characters. So far I have to say Berengar is my favorite, because he puts up with our shit, but Ema's snark is close second. It's been a really fun thread, but I think I'll be off to bed now. Seeya next time, QM.
