"A thirty-ship fleet heading towards Tianna." Phoenix explains, with a grave expression.

Great. The Silver Prince. The Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water, ruler of the Skullstone Archipelago. Even without considering the supernatural aspect of him being a powerful and estabilished Deathlord, Skullstone alone is one of the most powerful nations in the West.

"I should have expected that." Tyrant of the Doomsday Machine grumbles. "He knows I'm here, and he's trying to beat me to the Titan. We should hurry up and-"

"Actually, mistress." The Day caste interrupts her, "I believe he's coming for you. His flagship is flying the War Flag of Oblivion. He's on a mission from the Neverborn."

No doubts about the Deathlords' mission to kill Creation there. No rebellious attitude against the ghosts of the Primordials driving the forces of death and entropy. No opposition to the Voices that trouble the Tyrant so.

"Ah, yes. Ever the loyal lapdog. I never thought he'd move so soon." She turns to you. "My dear Maka, if you have the ability to call on miracles from the Unconquered Sun Himself, this would be about the time."

Didn't you already do that? Like just now? Isn't that the reason why you're peacefully speaking with a Deathlord? Hoping you can pull that off again is a bit too optimistic.

"...how long?" You dare ask Phoenix.

"Five days."

Your heart sinks.

"Rally the troops." Tyrant takes the lead. "March the companies back in the Dark Omen. Call the Doctor and tell him I want the ship in the air in six hours."

"...hold on, where are you going?!" You ask her, shaking out of your stupor.

"Somewhere I can fortify properly, in the plains of the western side of the island. Here we'd just get in Tianna City's crossfire."

So close to Pearl?

...If the entire island will be attacked, Pearl's construction site will be absolutely defenseless. It's only protected by a partial wood palisade. But the Prince's aim is probably as much the Titan as it is Tyrant... Or not? How much is he motivated by his "holy" mission, and how much by the desire to obtain the Titan?

Well on the bright side it's not happening RIGHT now.

If I remember right the only things of note on the western side are Silk's Wyld and Pearl, but those are almost directly on the coast, we could ask her to set up there but it's not the best place to defend from a naval attack.
>>
>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. She was in the western city of Tianna as a guest of queen Amata, an old friend. Abyssals are targeting the city for conquest, Lintha pirates have infiltrated it with spies and agents, and the Realm is probably planning to get rid of you.
But things are also looking up. You have gathered a lot of allies and friends, have a powerful Manse under construction, and are unifying Tianna in a great nation under your overwhelming charisma.
You just discovered the reason everyone seems to be so interested in Tianna: an enormous magical fortress lies buried underground, a relic of the First Age with enough firepower to destroy anything...

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Solar%20Quest

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability. Yes, this means that the more people are posting, the stronger Maka is, up to a limit of her attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

Is the pirate fortress our folks recently crushed a viable option? I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I'm not sure.

Also, You have a lot of XP that you set aside for Social 5, but last thread that option got quite a bit of flak so I put it off for a moment.

You should decide what your XP should be spent on, and, if it is Social 5, what to invest the 5 points of Backgrounds it gives you.

Also, a lot of art has been cashed in for a Zenith charm that would let Maka store several of her outfits (as long as they're not armor, or anythin that requires attunement) Elsewhere and swap them around for free. This charm would effectively cost you 2 xp, the other 6 xp coming from cashed-in art, and let you have an Elsewhere Wardrobe of Social x 5 outfits.

I worry about sending her north where the barbarians are, if they don't know she's on our side now they might attack her forces, if we do that we should have Tia go on ahead and tell them while we head back to Tianna instead

Get Amata to send a few messages with Tia's permission to them in preparation and they'll be fine with it.

Which one the lintha one or Freeport?

If you mean Freeport then Flow and the other have said they would help us out before. The only other sea god we've talk to was Ocean Father and he's pretty big time, we should go to his shrine in Tianna and ask if he could slow down or harry Prince's fleet to give us a bit more time.

"...Tia. Can you grab Regis and Millian and bring them to Tianna? Like, now?" You ask her. "And warn everyone."

"Horse and cart included?" She asks back. Good ol' Tia, confused by all the speaking up to now, seems to enjoy the idea of some genuine violence coming your way.
Sometimes you envy her so much.

As she darts out of the throne room, you turn back to Tyrant. "Our forces recently conquered a Lintha fortress. I was thinking that you could set up your forces there."

She gives you a long, cold, hard stare. "Are you kicking me out of Tianna?"

You look up to her. You're not sure how to respond to that right away.

"I get it now." She continues. "The Prince is after me, so now I'm unwelcome. You're all for denying me the weapon I need to defeat the Voices, but you don't really care what happens to me as long as it's far from your precious little island. A lot of talk about freeing myself, about how I was still born with a human heart, and how I can return to the Light. And that you're going to be with me. You breathe in heavily, tryng to stay calm.

"The problem is that Tianna, and especially Pearl, can't survive such an attack right now." You explain. "We need to keep the fight someplace else. The island is full of civilians, potential collateral casualties. And you should know better than me... With every death on the battlefield, a Deathlord's army grows stronger."

Social + Zenith = 8 6 3 6 10 4 1 4 10 = 5 successes

"...that's a reasonable objection, but you're wrong if you think me being off Tianna means the Prince will not attack it. At minimum, he will send a small detachment to at least scour the countryside to harvest materials, corpses and souls to reinforce his main force while it lays siege to this fortress you speak of."

"...Because that's what you would do in his place?" You ask, a knot forming in your stomach.

She nods.

"Remember, he's had spies in Tianna for a while." Phoenix reminds you. "He knows that Pearl is just a defenseless construction site. Even if he puts off the conquest of Tianna City and the Titan until after he has defeated us - and that's a best-case scenario for you - he has no reason to not go after the smaller prize of Pearl along the way."

Your mind races.
You could evacuate Pearl - get everyone back in Tianna, let them raze an empty construction site and minimize the damage. Or...

>you focus on getting to the Black Atoll and fortifying it.
>you get to Freeport, occupy and fortify it.
>you get to Pearl instead.

The Tyrant is probably only thinking tactically, we should ask her.
>>
Rolled 2 (1d10)

>>38419104
If Tyrant fortifies Pearl will that mess with the manse in anyway that we can't fix later?
>>
>>38419129
I'm not, this quest used to be about Maka and her adventures with Tia and friends, and it was awesome, now its just another 4x civ game styled after Exalted, where we don't get to have fun anymore and its just nothing but constant choices between absolute extremes for no reason.

>>38419149
You did that when we marched into the Wyld, you did that when we dealt with the Immaculates, you did that when we marched against the Lintha, there are several orders of magnitude between those situations and this.
>>
>>38418945
>Social + Zenith = 8 6 3 6 10 4 1 4 10 = 5 successes
Is there a reason to not have the roll in the begining of the post? It looked cleaner to me, instead of having the roll right in the middle of the scene.
>>
Rolled 4 (1d10)

>>38418945
>>you get to Pearl instead.
>I'll stay with you for now
A sort of selfish reason, but I really want Tyrant to stay on the island, if she moves I don't think a lot of our allies will be willing to go help her in Black Atoll, if we're all on the same island we can help each other out.

That also means there will be less fighting at Tianna and Freeport, due to the Prince's main forces being elsewhere

Important question: Didn't our cult have something that warded off undead ? I remember some talks about it ?

That 'rest of us' seems to be rapidly dwindling as of recent times and with the shift in the quests focus and gameplay thats not surprising.

If we can still pick them, make them Dryads and Bunnyboys and I will take whatever challenge you feel like throwing at us.

>>38419193
It's "dwindling" because of EF's inconsistent running schedule. That kills playerbases far more surely than whatever you're having a hissy fit over.
>>
>>38418945
>let's fortify the Lintha fortress

It's far enough that even the Prince's forces will have trouble doing serious damages to both it and Tianna in an effective manner. It'll give Tianna, Freeport and Pearl more time to prepare and less foes to fight
>>
>>38419116
That's an option.

It's the ending of a huge arc that has existed sincethe start of the quest. It's only expected it will get more and more dramatic and extreme.

>>38419217
Exactly how effective is BTD? I know that it only kills extras in the current scene. But what happens if we use it when leading an army against an undead army? The entire enemy army is in the scene.
>>
>>38419209
When was the last time we spent time with a follower, or a ally, or Tia or Amata or our family? When was the last time we partied and had fun? When was the last time we punched something in the face really hard? When was the last time we saw our followers and pets? When was the last time we took care of them?

All of those things are why I loved this quest when I stumbled into it early on, and its been so long since we've done any of those things that this just doesn't feel like the quest I signed up for and played for 60 threads.
>>
Rolled 3 (1d10)

>>38419217
>That's a reasonable assumption, actually.
So if we head to Black Atoll chances are at best we'll have, Us, Tia, and maybe Karas if we can convince him, taking away Tianna's absolute biggest hitters from there fight.
>>
>>38419228
Getting more dramatic and extreme does not mean it has to shift its focus and lose what made it great, hell it did that perfectly fine months ago, so what changed now and why?
>>
>>38419231
The entire enemy army dies.

Apart for leaders, commanders, non-extras.

If there are reserves or units that are out of sight or uninvolved in the fight, they will survive.

...at least that's what you FEEL is supposed to happen. You never tried it on something this large scale.
>>
>>38419217
I figured. This is mostly a style choice, you can put it where you think is better.
>>
>>38419241
All the more reason to keep the fight somewhere nearby yet distanced enough from the most vulnerable places.

If we can bring to bear the most amount of force in a defensible position that is close enough for those forces to get to, and to motivate them, while keeping as many innocents and as much of Tianna and Pearl safe as possible, then thats the best we can hope for without suddenly getting the titan up and running again, which would destroy the island and everyone on it unless by some miracle they could continue to exist on top of it peacefully...
>>
>>38419251
That sounds fun, let's try it sometime.

"...you know what, you've convinced me." You admit.

That's not something you've said often.

"There is a lot of space near Pearl, even without counting the city proper."

"...which you're building to become a Solar-aspected Manse." Phoenix informs you that they know, with a smirk. "You probably can imagine that, but... It's extremely uncomfortable for us."

"Good." You reply. ""That means it will be uncomfortable for them too."

Deathlord and Abyssal exchange glances.

...It's sound logic.

"It will take a while for us to move, but I imagine you must be in a hurry. I can provide transportation for you." Tyrant offers. "We have a few ornithopters. Though they require an Abyssal-aspected Exalted pilot."

You look at her, now that things have calmed down.

You see... Something different from the hard, cold, stone-faced monster that was facing you te moment you first walked into this room.

Was it your Charms? Your Anima? Did you just change her? Or was that odd, unexpected spark of life inside her already, and you simply did not notice it earlier? Or perhaps, some subtle enchanting she's woven on you?
The glow of her eyes seems less hateful, the arc of her brow less hostile, but there's... more.

She's a Deathlord. Why does she feel so... Like this? To you?

Those eyes...

"...Maka?" She asks, shaking you out of your train of thought.

You make an offhand motion to Phoenix.

He exchanges glances with Tyrant, then seems to get the hint. He lowers his eyes, and walks out of the rusty throne room.

The heavy clanking metal noise of the door slamming closed echoes in the vast corridors of the airship.

You lean closer to Tyrant, staring straight into her large, red, glowing eyes.

It's not easy. She's about twice as tall as you, so you have to stand on your tiptoes just to get closer - not something you're used to do.

"...are you trying to charm me, Tyrant?" You whisper.

"What if I am?" She replies.

You caught her in a moment of weakness before, or rather, you created one, that much is obvious. But those eyes full of confidence, that calm yet slightly proud smirk on her leeps, the relaxed posture.

Since you've Exalted, you've met plenty of people who were scared of you. Nervous of being in the presence of a being who could effortlessly maim or kill them, and maybe just as effortlessly charm them or brainwash or subvert them or manipulate them.

Now you're beginning to know how they must feel. The Deathlord has regained her composure. She is just radiating power and self-confidence.

And you WANT her.

You both stand so close, feeling your warmth bleeding into her cold, hard metallic body... And then she leans even a bit closer.

That's no good... You feel weak. Your knees tremble and are about to give in. She's so close... Her lips are-

You feel her icy hand caressing your thigh, and the chill travels up your spine, making you tremble. The moment it hits your brain, you feel like you're about to blank out...

[MAJESTIC RADIANT PRESENCE]
[ENEMY-CASTIGATING SOLAR JUDGEMENT]
[TALKING TO THE HEART]
[ESSENCE: 3/6]

Social + Zenith + MRP = 6 2 7 4 9 3 10 3 10 7 1 = 14 successes

...and a fire, from within your own heart, burns away that fragment of ice lodged into your brain.

You feel Tyrant's hand pull away from your leg, as if suddenly burned.

You give the metal giant a powerful shove with all your strength, that she must feel like a light tap, barely strong enough to make her lose balance for a moment, caught in the moment, and fall back into her black and rust-colored throne.

You gently climb atop her.

Her looks of surprise and amazement turns into a placid smile. "...you're really alive."

You have no idea what she means, but you know better than to ruin the mood by asking. You press your burning hot cheek against her, as you flood the room in light, and her body with warmth.

A tear streaks down her cheek, as her massive arms wrap around you, almost awkwardly with the difference in size you have.

Why is she crying?

You feel the thrill of being held in the arms of a creature who could rip you in two with casual ease. Is it weird that it turns you on, rather than horrify you?

Is it her charm, maybe? Or is it just you?

Neither of you actually cares, or even stops to consider that, as you spend the next hour making love atop a throne of death.

>Tyrant as Mentor
I'm not sure if that's better or worse than the UCS as a mentor. On the one hand, the Tyrant is a millennia-old former Exalt - our own First Age incarnation - who might be able to teach us secrets about our Solar essence and charms that she herself unraveled in the First Age.

On the other, the Unconquered Sun literally invented our particular exaltation, is the king of heaven itself, and could, through us, bring untold light to Creation.

Hmmm...

>>38419944
Hey, Exaltedfag? What's the actual benefit of a Mentor in your quest? In Exalted 2e, it allowed you to learn Martial Arts from your mentor, and gave you reduced training time, because training times were a thing.

In your quest, though, we train instantly, we're invested in Solar Hero instead of wanting to branch out into other Martial Arts, and couldn't afford the essence cost of additional Martial Arts charms anyway, becaucse that's an extremely limiting factor in your system.

So, what would having a Mentor actually give us? An experience point discount when it comes to things that could reasonably teach us? Maybe relevant charms/stats would count as in-caste for XP costs when trained by a Mentor, with our actual in-Caste stuff getting that advantage twice if appropriate?

I just want to know what Mentor would give us that we're not already getting through our visions or our tentative alliance.

[HEALTH: 4/5]

Time passes before either of you finds respite from your mutual passion.

It would be a dire lie to say that it wasn't some of the most pleasurable time you've ever spent.

And yet, it hurt.

Physically, because... well, either Tyrant is a biter, or there is some deeper meaning. But she drew blood from you, and now that blood, when you expected to find spilled everywhere on you and herself and on the throne, is nowhere to be seen.

But what really hurt was... the cold. The bitterness. The loneliness.

You never wondered how odd it must be to make love with someone you cannot feel the heartbeat of before. Now you know, and you wish you hadn't.

You know for a fact that tonight you will not sleep peacefully.

You stir weakly from your rest in the Deathlord's lap. You feel cold.

Deathly cold. A feeling you weren't used to anymore. But it's a special kind of cold, one that clothes and furs will not protect against.

Small, gentle hands help you back upright. You blink and adjust your sight, and see black-clad handmaidens and maids, smiling ghosts shuffling soundlessly around you.
You see two neatly folding and carrying away your clothes, which sport the faintest of blood sprays around the collar, as one carries other clothes to you and bows.

Tyrant stirs. "...I made you suffer through a nightmare I would not have wished to anyone."

She's not talking about right now, obviously. Now you've seen her heart, you understand what vision she's talking about.

>It wasn't me. I just inherited that vision. It's not me you should feel sorry about.
>You cannot change the past. Work on changing the future.
>Maybe that pain helped make me a better person.

I can absolutely swear that no background purchase is a waste of points. No system mastery bullshit: every option is worth the point you put in it.

But Mentor will not give you a mechanical advantage (more essence, xp discount, etc).

Basically, if you're after mechanical incentives, stay away from Mentor because you're not going to find any there. What you will find is an opportunity to have a personal, special relationship with the UCS that goes above and beyond being one of the (theorietically 50, in practice much less) Zeniths in Creation.

It marks you as a special Zenith even above and beyond the specialness of already being a Solar. Frankly, the kind who you'd expect to be able to do miraculous stuff like redeem a Deathlord, restore the Mandate of Heaven, or build a city-manse dedicated to him.

Also, to the guy who keeps saying that mentor UCS is a bad idea because it will attract everyone who will want to make him look weak (and you've been around a few threads):

1) and why do you suppose that these theoretical enemies are not already mad at you for being a Zenith?
2) how would they know of what the opinion the UCS has of you is?
3) backgrounds are bonuses, not flaws. Like I said, they're worth their points, and any disadvantage they might cause is always massive outweighted by its advantages.

Aided by the ghostly servants, you put on the dress they offered.

It's quite flattering, and fits you almost perfeclty - maybe a bit tight in places, but not too much.

The feel of black leather, cold steel, and bone, however, worries you a bit. Someday you should spend a few hours lecturing Tyrant on a proper, not-utterly-terrifying style.

A silver mirror a maidservant carries to you confirms your impression.

"It wasn't me. I just inherited that vision. It's not me you should feel sorry about." You reassure the Deathlord while you spin to inspect the dress and the way it fits on you. Which is well, but it makes you quite terrifying. Should you keep this?

"...it's been too long. It's hard to feel sorry for anyone, or anything." She replies, straightening a string you had trouble reaching, her huge clawed fingers closing delicately on it. "When pain becomes normal, it becomes also harder to recognize."

"You don't feel sorry for all you did." You ask. But it wasn't a question.

She shakes her head. "I recognize I should. Sometimes, I even WANT to. But nothing moves inside me. Very little manages to."

"Did I?" You smile.

She does not answer, but smiles back. Her lips are so red, the color of blood, the only sign of color that is not her eyes on her.

"...I'll go to Tianna."

"I have a ride arranged for you. Who'd you want to accompany you?"

"Speaker for the Dead. I think she's the best choice for coming along with me and explaining the situation properly after the panic that doubtlessly Tia will be carelessly sowing."

"I'll get her ready." She nods, seeing you in the new outfit her servants brought. She doesn't comment it, but she seems pleased.

"Once I'll have stuff in Tianna figured out - I don't know how long it might take yet - I plan on travelling to Pearl and figuring things there. How to handle defense, whether to abandon it or not, things like that. I've been away from there for a few days... I need to get back on top of things."

She nods as you remove the... hat? helmet? How do you even call this. "Something's wrong?" Tyrant asks

You take off your helmet, hand it to a servant, and relax for a moment.

You've already seen other Exalted do this trick sometimes, mostly in subtle ways. Calling things from hidden pockets, like it was something natural. You haven't paid much conscious attention to it, either, but it hasn't escaped your notice.

Lately, you've seen Tia take out Skullopener, her daiklave, and put it away, despite not really having a scabbard or anything like that. The weirdest thing is that you'd think you'd notice something the size of that blade disappearing or reappearing, but instead it just felt... normal, like someone pocketing a knife.

You didn't even think of asking her how she does that. You think you have a vague idea. And maybe you just need to try.

It's not even a matter of focusing, or doing any kind of straining mental effort. Even here, it just feels natural.

Well, some would say that getting into and out of clothes quickly has always been a skill of yours.

You feel the presence of that particular outfit, just not on you. You can't put it in words, not even to yourself. It's just... "sideways". Elsewhere.

"If I knew undressing you with my mind had this effect, I would have tried earlier." You hear Speaker's voice chirp from the sidelines, and turn around surprised. Yep, she's here.

The door is still closed. Did Tyrant just summon her in some way you haven't noticed, or has she always been in this room? Since when? Did she see everything you and Tyrant have done?

You glance at the Deathlord. She doesn't seem troubled by that thought, and more interested in what you're doing.

You call the outfit back on.

"...Is everything all right?" She asks, probably not realizing that this was your first attempt.

"Yes, sorry." You briefly try to "put on" other costumes you own, but nothing happens. Looks like you need to wear them normally first.

It's very subtle, but, if you wanted to show off, you could make it a bit flashier by also lighting up your Anima and calling the outfit one piece at a time. No sense trying this here and now.

The servants bring back your outfit, cleaned and still a bit damp, and you nod at Speaker. "Can you cake me to Tianna in one of those ornithopter things Tyrant mentioned?"

She grins and gestures for you to follow her.

Tyrant nods you goodbye. "We'll probably see each other tomorrow in Pearl, then."

You sigh deeply. "Please, really, try to not cause too much panic or destruction on your way there."

Tyrant nods, quite serious. "I'll work on it."

The fact that you're both having this conversation in an absolutely serious manner, without any hint of humor or irony, is really troubling, but you try not to think too much about it. Instead, you follow Speaker For The Dead, down the rust-covered corridors of the Dark Omen.

"...So, what's an ornithopter?"

"We capture the ghosts of great flying beasts of old and bind them inside pouches of human skin, sewn shut with nerves. Then, we assemble and bind together skeletons with bones of a dozen or so creatures, in imitation of their long-lost bodies. And we stuff the pouch inside the skull, in place of the missing brain. Finally, we cover them in skin."

You stop. "I hope you're joking."

She giggles. "No, but I AM exaggerating a bit."

You catch up with her.

"I mean, it's just Doc that builds them. I never helped. But I like stealing credit for it."

"..."

Finally, you arrive at the contraption in question. There's half a dozen of them, lying in wait in the dusty air of a wide metal room, brightly lit. Ghosts and other undead clamber about in work clothes and tools, tending to the monstrous constructs. You notice many of them nodding at Speaker, and she responds and greets all of them, calling them by name as you pass by until you reach the foot of one of the beasts.

They're way bigger than you thought. They smell of formaldehyde and a mix of pungent herbal aromas. The kind you'd use to mask worse smells.

You cough awkwardly.

"So... you ride them, or...?"

"Need a help to climb up?" She asks back at you.

She rolls her eyes. "Flirting is a loaded word. What you and Mistress did was Flirting. For a while. I just wanted to feel you up a bit."

She looks straight at you for five seconds, then starts giggling.

"...You're just mad at me." Groaning, you help yourself on top of the giant beast.

You're already quite used to flying around on Tia's back, so even the trip on this giant monster isn't much to write home about.

Maybe it says something about your life, the fact that flying around on the back of an undead monstrosity animated by the ghost of a long-extinct megabeast is not an especially exciting thing to you.

"By the way, I hope you have a plan for when we'll arrive in Tianna."

I'm not sure what to say myself, but at least make sure to thank her for that tip she gave us on Tyrant.

We could probably flare our Anima Banner when we get close to the walls, maybe even land away from them and wait for Tia to come flying at us.

"Can you..." You begin to feel preoccupied as you see the familiar contours of Tianna City in the distance. "Can you land this thing-"

"Ornithopter."

"Can you land this thing outside of the town? Just to be sure they don't shoot us down or something?"

"I'll try." She says, with a light tone that makes you think she isn't taking your remark all that seriously.

As the city approaches, a new question springs to mind.

"Say, Speaker."

"Yes?"

"Do all of you share the Tyrant's...feelings? Or are you just following her because she's the boss?"

She pauses and thinks about it, as the ugly, heavy beasts does a low pass grazing the roof of a barn and slams clumsily on the ground a hundred meters or so away from the city gates, startling half to death a few farmers, cows, and a small team of soldiers on patrol.

"I didn't put much thought in it up to now." She replies. "I'm just glad I'm still alive at this point."

You leap down, just as the small group of soldiers tries to rally their courage and do the only thing that's reasonable for them to do: leap out of cover, scatter and make a run for the castle walls before they're all dead.

You can't really blame them for that.

"Don't panic, boys. It's me, Maka." You tell them.

A few heads pop up from behind the corner of the barn building where they hid. "L-lady Maka?"

Oh, right. With a sigh, you dismiss your ridiculous outfit.

"It's Lady Maka!"

"Incidentally." You turn back to Speaker one last time before putting your old outfit back on. "Abyssal fashion is terrible."

She shrugs.

I hope they don't even bother with Alchemicals in 3e, because they really are just a waste of wordcount.

They will, of course, since the devs really like them, so that's a moot point.

So, my more realistic hope is that they have the Jadeborn secretly running Alchemical exaltation operations instead of it being some fucking enormous setting-shattering event like Autocthonia and Creation actually coming into contact with each other.

After all, if anyone's going to figure it out independent of Autocthonia itself, it'll either be the Jadeborn, a Twilight who got access to Autobot's workshop, or a Twilight with a crew of Jadeborn engineers who went on a massive Yu Shan heist to bust into Autobot's heavenly workshop and steal everything that wasn't nailed down.

I want Exalted to be a heist film.
