>So, got a thing for Summer?

You stretch, before settling into a relaxed pace, “So, got a thing for Summer?”

Out of the corner of your eye you can see John frown, “I would expect that from Beth, maybe, but you?” he shakes his head, slowly, with a sad smile.

“Nothing wrong with that,” you say before trying again, “Really though, I’ve got her number, yeah?”

“Come on man, you’re doing that thing people do when they start dating,” John sounds somewhere between amused and annoyed.

“That thing?” You say, glances to Kat as she stops humming; her ears are perked up as she listens in. Likely curious as well.

“Where they go about trying to get all their single friends in a relationship, it’s like dater’s guilt or some shit,” John sighs, “If I was worried about it, I’d do something about it.”

>Yo’ I’ve not got dater’s guilt.
>So me following up on your staring’s no good?
>Nah man, just was trying to help.
>Write in

Thread took a while because I swear I must have pissed off some god in my past life time. Got two important phone calls and seem to be catching a stomach virus thats been circulating in my family.

Trip may be different, tried to guess what it was before but last it with hard drive failure.

>Nah man, just was trying to help.

“Nah man, just was trying to help,” you wave his concerns off, “You know, being a wingman… wingwoman..?” you play with the sound of the word before shrugging, “Whatever, you get my point.”

“Eh, alright maybe, but really if its going to be a constant thing…” he trails off with a shrug.

“I suppose that depends on how often you check someone out, yeah?” You say with a grin, as you speed up and turn around to face John and Kat as you talk; taking advantage of the empty sidewalks.

John has the decency to looks mildly ashamed, “Yo’ you would do the same in my shoes, yeah? It’s hard not to look at something eye catching.”

Kat nods in agreement, and adds timidly, “S-Summer seems to thrive on it too.”

You suppress a laugh down into a chuckle, remembering when you first met Summer, “Well something like that… anyways do you want the number or not?”

It’s painfully obvious how John’s gears are grinding against one and another, something you watch with amusement. Finally with a defeated sigh, and a decent amount of reluctance, “Yeah, alright, hand it over.”

“You’d think I was asking you for a couple hundred dollars or something with that attitude,” you laugh, and pull out your phone, “You sure?”

“Yeah I’m fucking sure,” John snaps at you, only lending to your amusement.

After you tell him the number, he idly comments, “Man this first phone call’ll be awkward as shit.”

Your pet nods with understanding; she opens her mouth to say something a few times before settling for staying quiet.

“Yo’ I’ve done my part,” you shrug, and realize you’re walking past his house, “It’s on you now.”

“No shit,” John sighs, as you all come to a stop. He glances towards his house, “That doesn’t help in the slightest.”

“Make up your mind,” you chuckle, “One moment you want me to back off; next you want me to help.”

John shrugs, “Obviously there’s a middle ground somewhere.”

“Yeah, yeah, alright,” you say, almost patronizingly, “Look just take a page out of my book and do it. Don’t over think it, it’ll work out.”

“Heh, I should have see that one coming,” he sighs, “It’s probably for the best.”

It’s silent as John digests everything. A minute or two later he finally speaks up, “I’m going to head inside man, its hotter than the devils asscrack out here and I’m hungry... “ he pauses again, “I’d say come on in but I really don’t want to try and explain two girls coming over for dinner.”

I haven't had land lines (or even known people who do) in the last four maybe five years? So my impression is 'No.'

But that's even a moot point as I doubt someone would give home phone and cell phone number out.

As unsexy as this is going to be, we need her parents to understand that they can't just cut Beth off. We managed without her today, but next time we might not be so lucky to only have a half assed idiot gunning for our friends, or us. Or Beth. We aren't saying that they can't parent her, just that we need to be able to contact her for emergencies and she needs to be able to contact us for the same.

>No worries man, you’re room’s wrecked anyways.

“No worries man, you’re room’s wrecked anyways,” you say offhandedly, “Won’t be much of anything to do save for that.”

John grimaces, “Was it fucked?”

You give him a so-so gesture, “Kinda… Well, no it was pretty bad. It’ll take a while.”

“Awesome, thats just great,” John gives a defeated sigh, “Thanks for saving me… even if I don’t remember getting into trouble.”

“Anytime,” you say, before frowning at your poor choice of words, “No not really, get into trouble less.”

“Yo, my bad. I forgot I had strapped bait to myself,” John says sarcastically.

You say nothing until he’s unlocking the front door, “Hey, uh. Just reminding you that you’re parents may be a bit weird for a day or so. It should pass.”

John glances back, and nods before heading into his home and closing the door.

Kat visibly relaxes once he’s gone, “He seems stressed…”

You watch his house for a moment, before heading back towards the park and by extension your home, “Yeah, not surprising there. He got dragged into something he can do nothing about.”

She nods having nothing really to say to that. As the two of you walk she grabs your hand, and leans into your arm.

Despite the heat, you let her; she’s got a happy smile on her face by the time you make it to the park. As you pass where Summer parked, it dawns on you that you haven’t heard anything from Shadow Alex or Amy since then… Or at least you don’t think so.

‘Alex, if you’re going to have someone stay the night… you should at least ask first,’ you think to her.

Shadow Alex makes some sleepy sounding noises, followed by shortly after a yelp; you grimace as your side suddenly starts aching, ”Owww,” the complaint clear in her voice, ”Amy, you greedy ass, you can’t take over someone elses bed.”

Amy lets out a groan that turns into a cry of pain and startlement, “Why would you wake someone up like that!?”

”You did worse, kicking me out of the best bed,” Shadow Alex says defensively, and you get the feeling she’s crossed her arms over her chest.

“Thats… not even a fair tradeoff,” Amy’s voice sounds pained, “Seriously, even a bucket of water would be better.”

You frown as you listen, ‘How exactly did you wake her up..?’

”I gave her a solid charley horse, and increase pressure till she woke up,” Shadow Alex explains, not the slightest bit guilty.

You grimace at that, picturing the feeling in your leg before shaking it off. A quick glance around tells you that you’re almost home and it shouldn’t be but another five minutes.

Kat has taken up humming that same tune as before, she’s pulled away from you some in favor for ease of walking.

If you’re going to let Amy out before your house, here would be ideal for her.

>Yo Amy, mind calling in your favor tomorrow or something?

Well, if it is what I think it is it tends to vary in names between languages but you know that thing where you knee someone in that one part of the thigh where if you apply the right amount of pressure, it becomes completely unusable for a while just from the pain? I assume it's that.
>>
its basically when your muscle doesn't get enough oxygen and you start to cramp up, only more so. With pain.
>>
>>38451146
I was actually afraid that wouldn't translate well, usually I do a bit of research on if its just a local term or not before I use it.

Its where you grab the thigh of someone in a way that's halfway ticklish halfway painful until more pressure is applied then its more painful.

Missed the cutoff for this, but I second the talking with Beth's family thing. Chill Alex can probably convince them to be a little more lenient with her, especially if they know Alex has her back, and has an interest in continuing to do so. If they don't know they're dating by that point, I doubt it'll hurt too much to spill the beans.
Meet the parents, I say!

On a different note. I'm considering compiling a list of questions for various characters we only talk to intermittently. Tenka, Mom, Dad, Kat and the like. So next time we get a question and answer period with them we can be ready with question on hand. Stuff like to Tenka "What's the conversion rate on cores to cash?"

>Invite Amy for dinner, least you can do.

“Hey, Amy. You want to stay for dinner?” you both say and think. You feel more so than see Kat start a bit at the sudden question, interrupting her tune as she does so.

“Yeah, sounds great; I’m pretty hungry after all that,” her voice still sounds strained, and you take a bit a of pity on her. Those really suck.

“Awesome,” you say as you feel Shadow Alex almost gloat, with a smug feeling.

Kat stops humming to ask, “She’s staying then?”

“Well, no not staying, just eating dinner,” You frown at Kat’s choice of words as you try to place the tune once more. It’s just on the tip of your tongue and you get the feeling you’ll know it as soon as she mentions it.

You give to the need, “What are you humming anyways?”

She frowns, “I tried to hum the carnival music, but it came out as a mix between that and another song… then it got stuck it my head and I can’t remember how either was supposed to be.”

“Ahhh, that explains why it sounded familiar but not quite,” you say feeling relief from that, at least until she starts humming it again and it gets stuck in your head as well.

By the time you make it to your house you’ve taken up humming it with Kat, much to the chagrin of Amy who is complaining about it. You tried to stop humming it but apparently it didn’t help at all.

Kat pulls out her key, still humming happily, as she rushes to open up the door. She holds it open for you and excitedly says, “Welcome home!” her tail is twitching happily behind her.

>>
>>38453160

“The same goes to you Kat,” you scratch behind her ears, “Welcome home.”

Her smile only widens as she says, “I’m home!” and latches onto you with a tight hug, one you return easily. It’s short though, the hug, as you’re letting the cooled air of the house out in the awful heat.

When you close the door palpable relief hits you, you had been sweating a for a while, not too much, but enough to make you feel like you need to at least rinse off. That said you are pretty hungry and another protest from Amy reminds you that you’ll need to cook for another and that you probably should let her out.

You wonder how you’re going to go about this, or even you’ll even bother rinsing off.

>Let Amy out
>Go rinse off

‘Yo, Alex let Amy out, will you?’ you think to her, not entirely sure how you could do that yourself or if you need to rely on Shadow Alex.

”Sure,” Shadow Alex says all too happily.

Amy appears out of a wave of darkness, she nearly falls over from the sudden motion but looks all too glad to be free; she’s fully dressed in her usual concealing clothes. Something that makes you realize you still have yet to untransform.

You bite your lip idly, before stopping yourself, “So, I’m going to go dry some of this sweat off, maybe take a quick shower before cooking. You can watch TV or something in the mean time I suppose?”

Amy’s eyes follow your body downwards, before she shrugs, “Yeah alright I guess, it’ll give me some more time to catch up with Kat.”

“... There’s not much else to catch up on?” Kat downplays Amy’s hopes as they head for the living room.

“Well whatever, its not like talking with me’ll hurt you any, I don’t bite despite my looks,” Amy teases.

Their voices trail off, and the TV drowns out the rest as you head for the bathroom. You look down at yourself and the accumulated darkness, its quite a large amount. It might just be best to towel off and un-transform later, or you could hope for the best and just let it happen now.

As you’re deciding, you realize the motes flow a bit differently. A couple are fast, with jagged movements that seem to try and force their way through before failing and looking for another spot, where as the majority are slow and methodical, testing places carefully before moving on. The last sort just spreads itself thing trying to wrap around you, slowly flowing and failing.

You almost forget why you’re here as you watch, at least until you manage to pry your attention away from it.

....what does rolling high or low on this scale mean again?
>>
>>38455346
Bueno
>>
>>38455379
Above 50 means it's a physical change, the lower number it is the harder it is to hide and the more annoying it might turn out to be. I think that's more or less how it works anyway...
>>
>>38455379
51-100 is physical where, 51 is impossible to hide 100 is impossible to notice (from the outside) 1-50 is mental. Similar scaling.

I realized the flaw of this on the roll (namely best of three results in usually physical) and need to figure out a different method for this.
>>
>>38455480
o we got a double hit of something physical thats going to be real hard to hide.
>>
>>38455480
separate rolls? 1 for type, 1 for severity?
>>

>>
>>38455480
Why not just roll dice to determine WHICH of the three is chosen? For example, three guys roll, and you roll a 1d3 to pick which one you use?

Or, I guess, just roll it yourself.
>>
>>38455504
I thing severity (duration) is dependent on how much darkness we've managed to accumulate for the change.
>>
>>38455480
Yeah, just get 1 person to roll or do >>38455507

Keep the double for this go, I want to see that.
>>
>>38455480
How about you roll for the change attribute (mental/physical) and we roll for the specific effect?
>>
>>38455507
This would work. Just roll the die when you post you're going to start writing and check the number.

>De-transform, rinse off.

You’d rather not have to clean dried sweat off of yourself later, and while you’re thinking about it, you’re sort of curious what this looks like when you drop form. You step away from the counter looking at yourself in the mirror as you let the magic fade.

It explodes off of you, sending mirror fragments out that get pulled back in by strands of darkness, leaving you in your yellow Sundress.

The actual darkness motes were pushed back by the fragmented costume before they come rushing back in. They hit your body in various places and you get a strong sense of vertigo and have to grip the countertop to hold you up right. Your vision swims, and becomes impossible to actually make sense of anything as you feel countless cuts across your body open up.

It takes you maybe ten minutes of standing there holding onto the counter for you to actually start making sense of what you’re seeing. You’ve got quite a few extra sets of eyes, and not just on your face; your head starts to hurt a bit as you process the near omnidirectional vision you have save for a section of it being blocked by a wall of darkish yellow… Or rather your now orange Sundress?

Outside of that you look mostly the same, every one of your new set of eyes sharing your original pairs color pallet.

You frown as you consider just how exactly you’re suppose to rinse yourself like that, stopping only to note your Sundress has turned a green color.

>Go cook, rinsing off seems almost dangerous now.

You take another look at yourself in the mirror, more than a couple eyes turning to focus on yourself, you barely resist shivering and your dress changes colors back to orange.

With a shake of your head you exit the bathroom, rinsing off seems almost dangerous, or at the very least like a challenge you don’t want to deal with.

”These shouldn’t last too long… probably’ll be gone by next morning?” Shadow Alex reassures you as best she can.

‘Yeah, alright,’ you’re a bit grateful for once, and you head into the living room.

Kat looks concerned as she spots you, and stands up before hesitating, “A-are you alright?”

“Yeah,” you say as Amy shivers a bit, “What do you want to eat? Either of you,” you resolve to get some headache meds from the kitchen before you start.

“Whatever’s fine really,” Amy with a pitying look.

You almost feel angry at that up until, you let out a deep sigh, letting out tension you didn’t realize you had. Your dress moves to a blue, “Go a head and pick something, as long as its not crazy we should have the ingredients.”

Amy shakes her head, “No way, you pick what’s easy to make for you… as long as its not a salad I’m down.”

Kat nods in agreement, “Do you want me to help..?”

You could give us powers that cost SCs to use but are super good or let us spend them to recall/suppress the changes we get.
>>
>>38458692
Damn, missed the vote to wear less clothes.

>>38461839
>let us spend them to recall/suppress the changes we get.
I don't know why "spending SC that changes us to make/suppress changes" is a good idea. Because it's more a very quick path to getting even more changes for no benefit. Still, better than a wish to remove/add changes at will.
>>
>>38461839
Why would we need those powers?
A more fitting approach would be, if we could use SC to access powers of a kind we do not have.
Some ideas:
A technique to buff our allies/debuff enemies (AoE cloud of darkness or something)
A technique to despell stuff? (magic Traps, etc)
A technique to grab things from afar (Like a long darkness tentacle)
A technique to induce a state of constant arousal in others

We would be using SC trying to get those new powers.
Like we did when trying to summon SA. That was pretty much the only time we used a lot of SC.
>>
>>38462564
Actually, that's a good idea, using SC to gain new powers or buff currently existing ones. Of course, it would require a reworking of the current rules to make it a bit more challenging, but that shouldn't be TOO much of a problem.
>>
>>38460754
Maybe you were abducted by aliens.
>>
>>38462564
We can make new spells just by trying to though, can't we? Like how we got the SA clone one.
Granted, we used a good deal of SC on getting that because the dice gods disliked us.

Perhaps using a lot of SC to increase a stat? Like, more than we would've typically used by fighting level appropriate enemies. A shortcut to more power, but at a greater cost.

Or some minor self heal with a steep SC cost, but doesn't require an action like our healing spell. SA casts the spell from inside on herself or something?
>>
>>38464030
I meant it like the way we got the SA clone spell.
Only that the rolling challenge is so high we needed a good roll + SC to reach it.
>>
I am awake, once the medicine kicks in (so maybe 30 minutes?) I'll start writing again.

>>38464030
I was thinking of allowing SC's to do finishing type moves, 1~3 depending on damage scale and what people were trying to accomplish.

>>38460834
I wouldn't have done it drunk, I sleep like a rock after drinking. Plus I drank all my alcohol last toorops stream and haven't gotten more.

>>38462610
I think the biggest thing is I need to find a way to work in a non clash system into it. I've been thinking taking something like 10+1/2 Total stats and using that for defense or something like that.
>>
>>38464666
>I think the biggest thing is I need to find a way to work in a non clash system into it. I've been thinking taking something like 10+1/2 Total stats and using that for defense or something like that.
That might make things too tough. Why not defense determined by an opposing stat, like Heart attacks are opposed by Magic or something?

>>38465024
A drawfag, streams occasionally. Mostly NSFW stuff.
>>
>>38464965
Then it becomes either a guessing game or a means to limit your actions possible during a given round. Either that or glorified rock paper scissors.
>>
>>38465071
I prefer to think of it as "strategic" , but sure: I like doing things that make hyper focus in stats useful but risky.
Hm... I guess doing all stats divided by half plus ten isn't bad: if one girl with all fives went up against another girl with the same then she'd need a minimum of twelve to succeed, which is made easier by sixes exploding.
>>
>Yeah, actually that’d be great.
>Sandwiches
>Leave clothes on

“Yeah, actually that’d be great,” you say after a moment nodding slightly. You decide if you nod or shake your head at all you will need to close your eyes as your stomach churns from that one.

“I’ll be here then,” Amy informs you with a wave and cautious smile.

“Shouldn’t be too long, just going to make some sandwiches, don’t want to try anything else like this,” you shrug as you head for the kitchen Kat following after.

Her face is twisted in worry with her ears flat to her head; she’s having all sorts of problems finding where to look as her gaze always finds one of your eyes.

You put it out of mind and get to work, asking Kat to take some basics out of the fridge: roast beef, lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayo. While she does that you reach into the medicine cabinet and pull out some headache medicine, you take a couple and move to rub your brow but stop before you poke yourself on one of the new eyes.

The meal doesn’t take long to prep easily five minutes with two sandwiches per each of you and you bring the mustard and mayo out to the table with the plates letting each of you apply which ever as needed. You call Amy into the dining room, your dress now a blue-green as your headaches fading away; its not so bad once you get used to it.

As Amy sits down both her and Kat seem to still be on eggshells so to speak, Kat more worried than anything, where Amy seems to be trying to not say anything that might reference sight. The first couple bites are spent in awkward silence.

You note idly through this that it doesn’t actually hurt to sit down despite the fact you’re positive you have eyes on the back of your legs.

You sigh, and your dress becomes yellow, “You’re both making this out to be worse than it is,” you point out setting down your sandwich for a moment, only to notice the other is gone, you frown at that.

”It looked good, so I took one,” Shadow Alex explains your missing sandwich.

‘Ah I was going to say I didn’t think I’d eaten that much,’ you think before continuing aloud, “I mean look at the bright side of all this yeah?”

Amy grimaces at your pun, “What’s the bright side of this?” she gestures at you with her sandwich.

Your grin betrays your intent before you speak, “We don’t have to keep an eye on that tsukaima any more.”

Kat barely resists choking on her food, while Amy just groans.

“Do you have a thing for bad puns or something?” she asks, while Kat is drinking water to wash the food down.

“Well maybe a little,” You admit, “But really I just was trying to break that awkward feeling, it worked more or less.”

“Could have done it other ways,” she shakes her head before finishing off her first sandwich.

“Could have done a lot of things other ways,” you shrug, “Anyways, when do you want to take that demon out?”

“I’d… like to help as well,” Kat says with a touch of hesitation, “I mean if its strong more of us is better right?”

Amy frowns, and finishes chewing before saying, “Well yeah, but if you help your doing just that. The core is mine.”

“Thats fine,” Kat says without hesitation, “I expected as much.”

“Good, since we’re agreed on that… I guess whenever you feel up to it? I’d go tonight if you felt up to it,” Amy says looking you over, your dress now a blue color, “Though getting you there might be a fun task in itself…”

You take the last few bites of your sandwich while you think about it, “Hmm, Let’s wait till this has worn off.”

“Yeah that’s what I thought, give me a call when you’re good,” Amy says before finishing off her glass of water.

“Sure,” you nod, and regret it once more, “Honestly never thought I’d have eyes in the back of my head, but uh, I can say with certainty that’s its not at all as great as people make it out to be.”

Kat has a small smile on her face as she asks, “You’re going to be doing that all night aren’t you?”

You shrug, “We’ll have to wait and see, but probably,” your dress has become a dark blue, almost purple color.

Amy shakes her head, “Right, not to eat and run, but since we’re doing it tomorrow and you keep making bad puns… well I’m going to clear out,” she reluctantly stands up, stretching as she does so.

“Well hold on,” you stop her and she looks at you with a raised eyebrow, “Look, all I know about this demon is its supposedly strong and been there for a month. You know anything else about it?”

She shakes her head, “Not really, just that it feels pretty strong. Enough that I wouldn’t go in alone, or even without knowing I was going to get the core.”

“And you thought the two of us would be enough?” You ask a bit skeptical, your dress becoming a green color.

“Well, yeah. The shit you do should make it reasonable… hopefully anyways,” Amy shakes her head, before saying “Watching your dress change colors all the time is really distracting.”

“Look, theres nothing I can do about that,” you shrug, as you think on what she said about the demon.

“... if its really that strong shouldn’t we get more people to help just in case?” Kat tail is twitching nervously under the table.

“And then I either have to help people do their own shit, or risk not getting the core,” Amy waves the suggestion off, “Besides you’ll be the more people.”

“Well, it should be fine,” you say after a moment, “I’ll probably head over to Beth’s in the morning and bring her along.”

Amy frowns at you, so you add, “If she wants anything, it’ll be on me not you. It’s kind of something I promised her I’d do, so there’s that.”

“I can’t complain then,” Amy shrugs, “Any idea what time you’ll be good?”

“Uhh,” you think before shrugging, “Maybe noon? No promises though I kind of play things by ear. So it’s quite possible that it’ll be much later.”

“So no not really,” Amy nods, as an excited smile comes over her face, “Ah I can’t wait.”

“Just putting it out there that we’ll be running if its too much,” you remind her, and you see Kat look a little less worried.

“Yeah, but it won’t be,” Amy says confidently, “I’m going to clear out, thanks for the food and the help tomorrow.”

“Same to you, today would have been a lot shittier without your help,” you stand up and follow her to the door, Kat mimicking your action.

“We should hang out more,” Kat says to Amy, “Since it was kinda my fault we stopped hanging out.”

“That’s fine, it’ll be easier to come find you now that you’re living here,” Amy grins, “Before that was basically impossible.”

Kat flushes from embarrassment as she takes a step to half hide behind you, “An-anyways I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Amy chuckles, “Yeah, sounds good,” and opens up the door to leave.

“Ah, also, thanks for entertaining my shadow self earlier... “ your grin betrays your intent and Amy cuts you off.

“You get that grin everytime you’re about to say an awful pun, I’ve seen it enough today to catch on,” she shakes her head and makes her retreat, much to your disappointment.

”Yo, I wouldn’t really call that entertainment. It was more like getting wrecked and then finding out you are okay with it,” Shadow Alex comments, ”Plus her bed manners are awful you’d need like a double king for that woman,” she sounds a bit indignant.

‘You’re just mad she knocked you out of your own bed,’ you think as Amy walks off, almost completely covered.

Shadow Alex huffs, ”And?” you just shrug in response.

It only takes a moment to decide against doing something similar and going to see Beth for a moment before deciding that you’d cook a live in this heat. Plus you’ll be heading over tomorrow morning anyways to jail break her.

You shut the door and stretch a bit, Kat’s smiling as she asks, “What were you going to say?”

“Something about it being a but overwhelming, it’s effect is lost now though,” you shrug, and ruffle her hair, “Thanks for asking though.”

Kat leans into the ruffling, and reaches up to hold your hand affectionately, “You’re welcome,” she giggles before continuing, “It’s a good thing my hair doesn’t tangle easily.”

“It’s the small things that are nice isn’t it?” you say realizing you don’t really brush your hair either, even since you got the brush.

She nods before asking, “So… what do you want to do?”

“Honestly, its too hot outside and I’d rather just relax and play games,” you say heading to your room, “It’ll be a nice end to this stressful day. Come on, I’ll show you.”
“.. I won’t be any good,” Kat protests as she follows after, “I’m fine with just watching.”

“How else will you learn? I mean if you really don’t want to thats fine,” you reassure her, “but if its just because you’re worried about being bad… well don’t,” you smile before realizing you aren’t actually facing her, something thats a bit disorienting.

“Kay,” she says as you sit down at your computer, you don’t have too many local cooperative games on it but the few you do are fairly easy to pick up.

You hand her the gamepad you have for such situations, and pick out a side scrolling brawler. After explaining the controls, you start playing.

She’s a bit frustrated at first even getting confused with which character is hers, but she starts to get into it with a focus frown on her face. At first you thought she might not be having fun but her tail leads you to think otherwise with happy twitches when you compliment her on getting something down.

You find yourself doing better than you normally would have as you can focus on multiple things at once easily, it makes explaining things to Kat a lot easier as you can actually look away from the screen without issue.

This all happens over three hours or so, before Kat says, “My hands are starting to cramp,” she’s paused the game and is rubbing the palm of her hand with a frown.

Thanks to your extra eyes its easy to see that its 10:30PM, and as your parents mention earlier they’re still not home. You decide it means they’ll be out till tomorrow.

We never rinsed off due to the eye thing, so enlist her in gently wiping us off with a wet towel and helping wash and brush our hair. We can give her a massage and brush her thoroughly.

“My bad,” you say with a smile exiting out of the game as you do, “I forgot that was a thing. Got used to it ages ago.”

Kat hands you the pad, “It was fun though,” she goes back to working the cramp out of her hand, “Especially when I got used to it.”

“I’m glad, I was kind of worried you wouldn’t like it. Brawlers aren’t exactly everyones thing,” you say as you shutdown the computer.

“I could see that,” she frowns before sheepishly saying, “If you hadn’t explained things I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it…”

You nod in understanding, your dress a solid dark blue, “Yeah I can understand, some games have really high learning curves,” you turn of the lights and take your Sundress off only to note that your panties are a solid dark blue as well.

Kat smiles at that, as she strips down to her’s as well climbing under the covers, “Thats really fun to watch.”

“It’s really kind of odd to have a wall of clothes obscuring like half of your vision, I’m just glad I wore a dress today instead of pants as I think I would have felt blind,” you say, as you climb in after Kat.

“... how well can you see out of them anyways?” she asks hesitant in cuddling up to you.

“Perfectly, though it kind of gave me a headache at first,” you close your eyes and get comfortable.

Kat wraps her arms around you and relaxes against you with a sigh, “Good night Alex.”

“Night Kat,” you pull her closer, and get more comfortable before drifting off to sleep.

You open your eyes and feel like you only slept but a second, though the sun shining through your window tells you a different story; a glance at the clock shows its nine in the morning.

Kat is in her usual place, using your chest as a pillow and sleeping soundly.

I'm really not certain why that update took so long, but it was really, really difficult to write.

I had most of it done within like 10 minutes just the last bit refused to happen.

I think I have lost the mindset to write. I keep trying to put words down even to just call the vote and its taking me a lot of effort to make sense.

Calling the thread here, next one Saturday-Sunday.

In the mean time the usual:

I think for this upcoming demon fight I will test out a reworked combat system. I also am going to fuck with the changes, and how they are rolled. I saw a couple suggestions that might work so I'll toy with a couple things and see what happens.

Terribly sorry for this awkward as hell thread, and thanks for playing.
