Rolled 34 (1d100)

Last time on fantastic civ a redo was commenced, reinforcements are on the way, and our HQ is still under assault my bandit forces.

Meanwhile there are deep suspicions floating around about our adviser Valeria possibly turning traitor or isn't who she says she is...

The Commander is heavily wounded and crippled on the battlefield outside our HQ.

One of the barbarian heroes died(dice didn't like that one). While the rest are still in play along with their forces.

So our forces try to hang on until help arrives...before its too late to.

Sadly there seems to troubles both within our own people and outside them. Both deep and on the surface.

What can be done? Will we survive?

That has yet to be determined for truth as yet more dangers hang beyond the horizon and while some are already on the way.

Now for some appropiate music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ846BmMzgk

You still haz many boons including art ones.

Also get an additional fate point due to problems on my end...the answer to which continues to elude me. So this should make amends for it as initially promised.

I believe that puts us at 3 fate points now.

3 units holy hand grenades.
3 units instant cash infusion.
5 units of cash next thread.
3 units of holy gas instant transmission.
5 units of holy gas next thread.

112 cash infusion tab. ( Think some cash was used to pay mercs.)
6 boons.
4 of them are survivor thread boons.
1 of the thread survivor boons is a boon+.
1 major boon.
1 pic boon(you have yet to earn an art boon).

Okay so those were counted, I was wondering why people keep acting like we had more boons. So that would make it no boons and the gain from the incoming art as our only boons.

Any ways while we are waiting we can talk plans.

We have it simple right now. We get the hero's group back in to heal and the rest defend. We got an enemy hero down and I think 3 more to go.

The should we tell the holy warriors all our info on the undead or should we hold out and hope we don't get killed by the banshees? We are probably on thin ice with the undead in the area because of our actions as of late.

I know a super boon can break plot armor, by can it break the power of dice? Could it make it so that other factions can't get positive dice combos more than 3 rolls long? And combo longer than that grants a negative effect on the faction.
How much dose a super boon cost?

Because one action would just be send envoy to them and the rest would be something I posted last thread. Shown below vvv, I just need to know if I should mod it or not. The Prophet held the cloth, as he polished the golden vessel in his hand.

>Quit it

>No

He continued to polish it over and over, seeing how it shone and shimmered in the candlelight

>Quit it!

>No,

He had been at this for hours now

"GRAAAAAH"

A burst of smoke appeared from the lamp with lights and sparks pouring forth, as the prophet merely watched with a smile. Above the smoke a woman appeared dressed in a middle astern belly dancer outfit, with gold and silk adorned on her body.

"I knew you'd give in. That's how you fooled everyone didn't you? They'd all rub three times, maybe ten, but you just had to hide and pretend you weren't there until they went away."

"How did you know!?"

"When I heard that Richard had a Djinn as an adviser, I knew right away he'd never give that up."

"Hmph, so you found me and dragged me outta my lamp. What do you want?"

"I want my wish of course!"

"Alright, what'll it be then? A pile of gold, a pretty woman to warm your bed, a pretty face to keep a pretty woman?"

"Information"

"You dragged me out of my sleep after I retired from advising for information? You're the mind reader."

"There are some things even beyond my sight, and the lack of my people's hivemind hasn't helped."

"Fine then. . .what do you want?"

"Alright, I can wish for absolutely anything right?"

"Yes, anything, as long as it's only one thing."

"And I can ask you in however way I want yes?"

"Yes. . .get on with it."

Suddenly the Prophet stared at the Spirit, and spoke to her with his mind. He didn't speak with words no, for words have their limit. He spoke in pure though and logic, in the most efficient manner as possible to translate an idea.

A single idea.

An idea that encompassed anything, and everything, into one nice little clause.

The genie Grimaced as she realized what he was asking for. . .everything.

"Oh no. . ."

Oh yes,"

A super boon may either be used to provide ALL the info on ONE threat(all their defenses to prevent espionage are instantly and overwhelming overridden)

OR give a list of threats according to their current danger level.

This is what i stated last time anyway.

>>
Rolled 53 (1d100)

>>38453124
Not to perfection no.

You have to be aware that the Super boon is the only tier capable of overrides. So no matter what you use they wont be able to ever quite compare to it in terms of affect.
>>
>>38453164
In that regard it would be best to completely ovveride the one with the most barriers and things to be ovveride.

Rolled 79 (1d100)

>>38453164
What if we use boons to add to the super boon to make an even greater one. Or combine all the boons we have to make another super boon and use both of them for a full and detailed list.

A super boon should give us a full list, the other boons are used to add more and more detail to the things listed. Only 2 supers can give a full and completely detailed list, but but super + other boons will give a full list with details according to the power of the other boons used.

The boons consumed over all affect will determine what happens. Doesn't matter what quality or how many you use they will act as they will.

You can combine boons but that will only work to do their own thing individually alone and then together.

The exception being if you burn them all on the same exact thing in which case they will gain a stacking bonus making possible or them to act as a stronger boon then they actually are.

Ashley and Ted dispatched.

They have activated their abilities.

The affect sure enough forces them towards the katonines with ease and they without a clue. They proceed to do battle with the monster unit in question.

Meanwhile heroes dispatched to take on the stalker. Unfortunately while they were able to locate and slow the hero down they have yet to manage to slay it.

Unfortunately our attempts to attack the war beasts and their masters were not as affetive. The beasts were either able to easily shrug off the attacks or dodge them. While we were able to nail a few beastmasters they were able to quickly adjust by using their critters to cover for them.

Our forces attempt to do battle with their mad magi and shamans...at first it goes well as seemingly the magi were being blocked. Unfortunately it turned out they were actually supporting their shaman allies to devastating effect.

Meanwhile on the battlefield an undead known as Wuz Vaerog notices something is deeply wrong.

"...we must retreat immidiately."

"What why dat?"

In response the very land itself begans to recoil as spirits starting errupting and appearing from everywhere.

"Oh shit...how the hell is dere wait this scene..."

"Aye its MAD Magic gone well for the enemy."

"Oh shit can we survive much less win Vaerog?"

"...maybe but it will be costly. On the plus side the enemy is cursed to temporary insanity."

"That isn't really all tha comforting."

"I know which is why we are withdrawing."

"About the General?"

"The reinforcements are heading right towards him. We will get slaughtered if we stay here."

"Why is that?"

"Spirit magic."

"...yeah there ARE an awful lot of spirits..."

"We are pulling back the knights as well hopefully we get get out of the mad wild landscape intact."

"That ain't looking to likely...everything is sorta going to hell in a handbasket."

"Aye i was expecting that to happen once the holy host and the undead really start go at it, but apparently it started early instead."

"What about the other forces Vaerog? They ain't got magic support unlike the HQ..."

With that Vaerog looks at the field of his allied forces entrenched with the enemy and getting blasted by the magic along with the spirits rising up among them.

"They are already dead. Unlike them we got a little bit of time if we can use it right we can make it out of here."

"THey wont though?"

"Living are extra squeshy they would of stood a chance if they had magic support among them...but even then that would only be but a chance however remote."

"We still got that remote chance so for now we run and hope."

So the undead and knights attempted to withdraw....trying to get past the maddened barbarians, summoned spirits, and the very land gone wild against them.

Meanwhile else where the reinforcements attempt to charge through this wild landscape while the maddened barbarians charged right back at them, along with the a sea of spirits heading right towards them.

There the allies clashed with the barbarian forces desperately trying to fight their way to HQ and commander.

Meanwhile the commander's forces on the ground were swiftly overwhelmed by the sea of spirits that flowed along with the twisting mad wild lands.

All were acting with an usual force and intensity...

Meanwhile in a tower overlooking the battlefield over the seemingly insane barbarians happily charging right back at an enemy that severely outmatched them while continueing their assualt.

It should of ended most badly for them...but was not so.

1 they were insane.
2 the very land worked for them.
3 a sea of spirits came with forward like a tide.

Valeria looked upon the landscape...and noted that there was but one island of calm sanity in that sea of madness and wild action. There that island was focused around the wounded and crippled commander.

Despite being disgustingly outmatched instead of trying to escape and dying a horrible death his remaining forces instead...
>>

Would the major boon be enuf to turn the barbarians madness agenst them? And make them attack themselves?
>>
Rolled 59 (1d100)

Well instead they fought to their last breath trying to protect him and buying time for aid to arrive.

Even as they fell their allies would slice about their former comrades to prevent them from arising as a foe all the while trying to hold off the tides of a sea of spirits.

Problem is that tide was flowing everywhere...even towards the HQ.

Valeria thought they MIGHT be able to hold out against them...until she noticed a massive explosions of magic and MUCH stronger spirits arose.

Worst yet the madness also seemed to be affecting the spirits as they spilled over everywhere as a tide.

The dead weren't even allowed to hit the ground before they rose up as possessed corpses.

Normally she figured that would be okay...except for the fact that these heroic spirits were not driven to madness unlike their lesser brethren. Instead they coolly looked at the battlefield examining before unleashing their power and prioritized what they were gonna do. With that the heroic spirits split up.

With that Valeria's started to run.

If the reinforcements were unable to breakthrough in time they would all be lost...even now 'her' own forces were withdrawing from the battle with all haste.

Wuz Vaerog certainly knew his shit...he figured it out even before she did and due to that he may very well getaway in time thanks to the time saved.

-----
In the wild landscape entrenched in madness...the reinforcements desperately fought on.

Alas it would seem they were not going to make it in time.

And so they hatched a plan reeking of desperation...desperately hoping they would make it in time.
>>
Rolled 83 (1d100)

>>38455246
On the other hand she might not be so lucky considering the massive pile up of spirits against the walls and the mad sparking of wards before they started exploding...and the spirits spilled over it howling in gleeful madness. Despite the massive cassualties they suffered from the pile up and forcefully overwhelming the wards despite the damage/pain they felt.

Due to their madness they simply didn't care.

----
Meanwhile in a battlefield two cousins were forced to fight back to back desperately trying to hold out.

"...Cousin I don't think we are gonna make it."

"Agreed cousin."

"You know...when I thought to die I was very sad over my failures but worse of all was me not being able to see my family again."

"..."

"So for that thank you cousin but I am sad that you will be going down with me."

"Well cousin Richard at least we wont be dying alone and we got to see family."

With that was his last words from his mouth as abruptly the spirits moved out of the way before a heroic spirit who despite their madness knew better to get in the way as it headed for them.

"...we cousin I guess this is the end."

"Indeed cousin I merely ashamed i couldn't continue my work."

"And I wish I could of given my report the Commander if he survives." They both glanced over and noticed a heroic spirit was also heading towards their crippled and severly wounded commander to finish the job.

"Report has critical info huh?"

"Indeed."

"So cousin why don't we take some sons of bitches with us and make sure it gets there?"

With that the two cousins charged their last at the heroic summoned spirit.

----
Some time later when the reinforcements make their way to a surprisingly clear area of corpses...there they noted the corpses of two men who managed not only managed to both slay countless barbarians and spirits but also dragged a heroic spirit with them.

Meanwhile in the Temporary island of order among the sea of madness...was broken. As a large titanic spirit forced its why through howling in a strange tongue at the commander as it approached.

"Normally dear commander such a summons would only incur one of us...but thanks to certain transgressions and privileges more then one of us has heeded this call."

"Your dream will die with you commander in your foolishness you and those who believed you shall suffer. You may be a living legacy but that wont protect you from what is coming."

With that the spirit swipes away the last of the Commander's bodyguards with a single blow there it looked down at the commander and prepared the final blow.

"You and yours will suffer for seeking to break the convent commander."

Just as it was about to land though the spirit abruptly stopped and shrieked in agony. As seemingly from nowhere the ground erupted...and things rose up from it.

One of those things had impaled the spirit with its fist before looking down and said.

"Greetings commander it is good that I am not too late. Do not worry under my care you shall be safe for this is precisely what I was made for," with that the super soldier prepared to hold of the tides themselves.

The spirit meanwhile while fading away shrieked "This isn't over General and you along with those follow your folly WILL suffer," with those last words the spirit was banished back to whence it came.

With that the Commander could merely groan and looked towards his HQ as it was being overwhelmed and groan.

------
Meanwhile the certain Fae and monsters couldn't help but enjoy the mess and chaos.

------
After some time the reinforcements managed to eventually fight their way to the Commander. There they found him atop a hill of corpses and decaying spirits. Standing near him protecting him was a peculiar super soldier...who looked around with sorrow filled eyes dawning with the realization that he...was the only one of his kind left.
>>
Rolled 79 (1d100)

>>38455859
After awhile the reinforcements DID manage to fight their way to the HQ...only to find a smouldering wreck covered in fields and corpses. Despite the seeming lack of hope they ventured on hoping to find some survivors...and that they did.

Despite finding many locations of last stands and going deeper and deeper. Eventually they managed to find one that successfully managed to hold out.

There in a deep part of a dungeon stood blinking runes, wary dwarfs, the remaining sorry excuses for guard, and behind them the huddles masses of civilians.

Here had been their final stand and here they successfully managed to hold out.

Despite the seeming evidence of no survivors consideing after their rampage inside the spirits and barbarians spilled back out to charge. Despite the slow going of the reinforcements they had actually made it just in the nick of time.

As for the barbarians?

In their madness and due to the priorities of the reinforcements with their splitting they were able to breakthrough their lines and disappear.

As for the other heroic spirits one who attacked the HQ got blown to hell by a genius plan involving a certain dwarf and architect which had other consequences besides.

The super soldiers and 'experiments' despite their exhaustion were picked off one by one. Despite being a favorite target they managed to hold the line despite the multiple heroics sent against them.

Sadly only one of their number managed to survive until the bitter end.

-----

During their march the reinforcements when striding through the last stand of the two cousins and their brutal remains...was abruptly grabbed by the foot.

Looking down in shock one of the cousins was despite his condition still alive albeit barely and with his last words.

"Give this to...mission critical...info...commander." With his last words the cousin drew his last breath as the soldier knelt down to grab the bloody yet miraculously intact dossier.
>>
>>38456085
I would be mad that the Barbarians got away, but thinking on it we were lucky just to have survived. There was no way to win this battle without the entirety of the north and south bearing down to help us.

We still got one of their heroes and lived, I'd call that a bargain.

Runesmiths.
Clerics.
Dwarven Soldiers.
Levies.
Civilians.

The Fae and monsters were however eventually found.

Though they were admittedly worst to wear.

The reinforcements have also arrived.

Your heroes of the following have deceased.

The Cousins.

>>38456183
It would of been worse if their heroes weren't also afflicted by mad which made it hard for them to use their powers.

also they couldn't recieve or take orders.

The only reason they broke through was due to the reinforcements having other priorities. If that wasn't so there wouldn't have been any survivors.

Those yet to be found are those who left the battlefield and Valeria.

They are still missing.

As for a certain dossier...and when the cousins rooms were searched some interesting stuff was discovered.

1 Richard apparently had been a busy little bee working internal affairs.
2 his cousin was working external affairs.

They despite their appearances have both been VERY busy.

Richard managed to ease relations between groups while rooting out trouble makers with someone known as 'lovely ass'. Its thanks to him and this 'lovely ass' that no trouble occured and more importantly no internal info was leaked.

ever. Not a single speck of info escaped and 'spies', assassins, and other 'troublemakers' had a bad habit of never making it through.

Apparently in his memoirs he makes assurances that even with him gone info shouldn't be leaked but expect some additional internal strain. Mostly due to him being the 'face' of the team while 'lovely ass' was the dagger.

With him gone things will be more lop sided and strained. however in the dossier it informs you that 'lovely ass' will keep up the work...and deeper in it offers a damning report from 'lovely ass'.

...the report contained 'acquired' info from those dealt by this codename 'lovely ass' and none of it was good.

>>38456301
Meanwhile the dossier besides detailed information including a report from codename 'lovely ass' there was some damning info from 'external affairs' cousin.

His info...was amazing. He not only mapped out the locations of major threats and 'interests' he even managed to track down a number of powerful forces and factions along with some info of them.

The info is the following:

Mountains: Dwarf holds, toughened mercs, and beyond them passes of kingdoms are neutral except for the problem of monsters in mountains.

Hills: overridden with barbarians best beware. They trade with the dwarfs in mountains for gear and raid happily. Detected monster masters among them.

Rolled 52 (1d100)

>>38456461
Mountains: noticed high elven concentrations, wasn't worried but also encountered dragons. Even worst found some countries deeper in. Here they ship out both mercs and raiders. Major source of troops from lake town and scary ass raiders commonly mistaken for barbarians. Beware those fucking 'bandits' from them.

>Hills
This place is ruled by savages. This would be the norm bu they got some good deals in the mountain and worst yet they are often used as a 'cover'. Normally wouldn't be too bad but I have confirmed the rumors of monster masters. They are real and the few passes in the mountains are only open thanks to the dwarfs.

Lakes: Good news is they got excellent trade, bad news is they are swimming in mercs and bandits. Even worst i have heard rumors from them...that there is another legendary legacy on the move from this part of the area. Sadly I was unable to confirm which one but I WAS able to confirm there is one besides the general who also woke up.

South: Typical warring kingdoms lots of undead lurking but not so much monsters due to them keeping em down. Not much to say besides the scary concentrations of them...and unlike up north these ones aren't sleepy.

West: ...no good news except for the one known as little lady is the only friend you got in this neck of the woods. An old friend of General is here and making a move soon. The vampires are angry and Banshee is pissed. In other words the undead here are the move.

Normally wouldn't be too bad except that i dug around among the monsters...a certain warlord is teaming up with the monsters and undead while bringing in outside help.

Don't know how but it would appear this warlord as it good with the undead and got himself a monster master.

besides the movment of other factions i have other critical info regarding major powers who aren't factions.

In the homeland around General the place was once active...but now that it isn't the undead here went to sleep.

Rolled 51 (1d100)

With the elves getting their ass kicked the monsters also calmed down and the bandits found better looting elsewhere.

That has all changed.

The undead have been woke up and warlord has already scouted out our forces. They plan to strike hard and fast.

From what I can understand this warlord is no slouch and an old enemy of general.

Normally it works like this in the cycle.

In 'civilzed' turf wars between kingdoms and undead awake.

In 'wild' lands you got savages and monsters with undead asleep.

bandits are active in both.

The things regularly cycle between those two.

NOw i did some flying and moving underground.

here is what I found.

In the skies you got flying monsters and the usual pretty empty up there as usual.

Problem is underground. There despite the countless ruins and underground monsters are the sleeping undead.

During the cycle when things change to shift the things that aren't active? They tend to actually be the strongest yet laziest.

Problem is when you wake them up. So all the undead there...have awoken and are more or kinda angry.

Even worst we called down a holy host on their ass so they are PISSED.

And these ones...they aren't weak. They are old, clever, and smart.

Undead don't get old without being strong and unlike their youngers they are calmer so wont be proven to typical mistakes.

This region WAS one that was being converted to wild lands but got interrupted. Hence all the ruins and relatively sleepy undead.

...its because they were starting to enter a deep slumber as the monsters and savages encroached.

We sorta fucked things up with all the large and loud booms. They are pissed because of Holy Hosts they wont be able to afford to sleep it off because now the Holy Hosts no their shit.

As for other powers besides the factions...these ones you need to watch out for.

In the North: Dragons, Monster Masters
East: Legendary Legacy, misc.
South: Monsters, Undead
West: Monsters, undead, and old 'friends'

I got asked by 'lovely ass' to investigate beyond the woods and check out relations.

So I did.

And here it is.

They remember and are still after him. Even worst they have spread word its why General had to settle in nowhere. Normally this wouldn't be a problem until stuff got settled but during my travels...

well here it is.

Agreements went down with the dwarfs and elves towards the Holy Host.

WHO by the way plans to commence a FUCK huge PURGE.

Due to your central location...they plan to set up here as they expect the heaviest fighting will be here.

They are 'mostly' right but this is only true once they get underground.

They are expecting a HARD ass fight and for good reason. They know the undead here are 'sleepy' and so they aren't hestitating to bring out the big guns.

Naturally the undead aren't either.

Their deal with the dwarfs is to strike up north and supply deal. The elves pact in exchange for their aide....they must help them with the forest to the west.

I asked Wuz Vaerog about what the undead will be up to....son of a bitch actually smiled at me(which he never does) before explaining the undead will do the following.

1 organize
2 prove
3 play

The undead are hooking up with each other and the older undead plan to have the younger undead 'prove' themselves. Then they 'play'. According to him the planning is already underway and messengers have been sent.

Shit is gonna hit the fan like you wouldn't belief the the OLD fuckers apparently see this entire affair as a game. The youngers however are the only ones worried...

Now this isn't exactly what Lovey Ass wanted but just wait I am getting there...it ties in with it something nasty.

According to my birdies tell me they will strike from the West and the East crushing your exhausted forces in the center.

All they have to do is wait for the holy hosts to do their job and pave the way...so they can mop us up once their dead.

Even more concerning though I heard something bad from from up north and i have suspicions regarding the monsters which i planned to investigate but didn't have the time.

now for other forces around you without factions...

These were the hardest but I dealt with most of them.

The exceptions being the following

Major monsters: Fuckers are up to something got the weaker ones though...

Bad Ass Bandits: they are GOOD at what they do.

That makes 1000 from me alone.
Warning. High roller mark 2 reached. 1 free supper boon acquired.

This is how it's going to go.
With my final donation and the high roller level 2 reached I get 5 super boons.
I get the day on how they are used.
1 brings back Richard, god tells him it's not yet his time and to get his shit together and give actually useful info when asked.
The other Dickinson can rot in hell. If others want him back then they donate for him.

1 is used to build the rock of ages. Completely. We all ready have all the tools and material to make it so I expect it not only finished and fully stocked, I want it covered top to bottom in magic ruins that give the rock magic wards, auto repair, boosts the healing of all inside it's walls. And anything else you can think to add.

That leaves me personally with 3 super boons. I'll wait to see what is needed.

You civ players better be fucking happy.

>>

It isn't JUST covered in magic runes!

The whole structure IS a giant magic rune! The tunnels comprise a giant rune, which forms the background for another giant rune on the wall, the towers and battlements themselves forming a rune! And upon every single brick a single rune too.

As above.

So below.

wtf anon that shit wasn't suppose to happen yet.

also...sorta in shock.

So give me break.

-----

With a sudden large BOOM a certain fortress began to wake up...and drag itself out of the ground. There it towered far above one could see...into the clouds themselves.

As it turned out most of it was buried since long ago...and the being looked around scratched its 'head' before noticing a mountains of materials and tools.

then a few specks were climbed before this 'being's eyes and showed it some papers...and so it started to move.

and the mountains of materials began to float and it guided into place. While occasionally spewing out some dwarfs for the detailed work.

If one looked carefully they would also note that some portals would appear...and vanish. Working along with them.

So the titan moved and built without rest. Following...some strange designs. After it was finished it stomped its way back before looking around and sitting down.

That was when it finally spoke.

"Rock of Ages is complete. Now the real show shall begin."

"What real show?"

"with that it looked down at the legendary legacy General and it spoke once more in a deep gravelly voice containing the ancient wisdom of ages and the honor of a long forgotten hero.

"Legendary Legacy you have broken the taboo and aim for a dream that isn't possible in these lands."

"For that it will resist and your fellows will come for your head. Already the spirits came for you yes?"

"..."

"That is because the convent is broken and you seek to do so."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you know why this land is forever cursed by war?"

"...no it has always been that way."

With that the giant being chuckled a deep laugh that shook the very ground and the Stone of Ages itself.

"Its because foolish mortal that was the price struck for a dream to be held true."

"What dream and what price?"

"Tell me what does this land reek of besides war?"

"..."

"Think about it. For that is the reason."

>Anon it can't magically make vanish everything under there without meeting resistance the big guy could only do the surface and what is close underneath.
But that was part of the design. A concentric ring of tunnel networks dug out by the dwarves to form lines upon lines of defenses from the below while the fortress itself defended from above.

We even used an Architect action on it.

Sure it doesn't have to go all the way to the earths core or anything, but that was part of the design.

We don't have enough men to man the walls.

If it took a super boon to build the walls, it might take another to man it.

Our next action is definitively going to be recruitment. But the real question is, who from?

That holy host who allied with the Elves and Dwarves for a common cause? With the undead from the west and undead from below coming for us, and with us already allied with men of the south and north, they seem a tempting target for a Super Boon.

Then again the undead are clearly the biggest threat in the region, and at any time we could switch to the darkside.

Bind the generals mind and soul to the rock. Bring it to life. The general can still live as he dose now and the rock will live even before the generals death. But when the general dies his soul is permanently made a part of the living rock.
For he is the rock and the rock is him.

And he loves those who call him home. And makes all those who dwell in him love him in return.
The living rock dose not need to feed but can feed off manny things. Fist the waist of those that dwell in his walls. Shit to fertilizer. Scrap to ammunition for the cannons. And rock for the golems.
Those that live in him will come to worship him. And he will grow in power. He will be able to feed off the army's that attack us. He will poses all the knowledge of the people and things he feeds on. He will be a god.
That is my plan. That is war mode.

From what I can guess, shit economy (no industry, no training grounds, etc.), too few troops to man the walls effectively...probably some other stuff too.

Basically, what is our civ deficient in for our size...RIGHT NOW.

Alright, so "everything." Fair enough, now I'd like to know what we were deficient in BEFORE the Rock got completed. What are we weak in/to?

Any advice on how to get more people/troops? Should we go around recruiting or should we try to boost our people's fertility and establish training facilities (and manufacturing capacity) to make our own soldiers?

I want an "ideally we'd have x, x, x, and x taken care of" list.

I think we should use super boon to make all who enter the rock loyal to the rock.
Hay holy host, you look tired. Come rest and eat.

And we should do a mega recruitment drive. All the heros working together telling how we fought off barbarians and of the safety of the rock.
We will get a pop of 100,000 in no time

I suppose.

But even Genie admits it'd kind of be hard to plan out for all this. We've already technically won our personal goal of getting the mountain, now we just need to kick our butts into war mode
>>
>>38481357
We haven't won.
Do we rule the land?
Then we haven't won
Do we rule the stares?
Then we haven won.
Do we rule the gods?
Then we haven't won!
>>
>>38481357
Yes, but what specifically do we need for war mode? We've got the idea of steam tanks, and golems, but those won't do us much good without mines or trade to supply them with metal.

We still have no skilled laborers and associated buildings...nor do we have any churches or training grounds for troops. Let alone breweries, taverns, and the like. Our medicine stat was still shit last i checked, so we're incredibly susceptible to the undead plague going on, or anyone smart enough to use biological warfare against us.

We should take care of our basics before we move on to the more advanced bits.
>>
>>38481468
I don't know exactly what to do, I just know that whatever we do needs to be done with care. Now isn't the time for brash action.

And keep in mind that our mines are still under siege by undead too.
>>
>>38481468
My plan is to make the rock give lots of passive effects like indoctrination of all inside it's walls to have almost zealot level devotion to the general.
And haveing the building and upkeep done mostly by golems.

And making the rock literally unable to fall.
>>
>>38481468

We have Boon upgraded builders and an Architect hero.

The action is for developing those associated buildings.

>>
>>38481909
Eh, just be careful. A steam foundry and furnace do us no good without basic smithies and the like. There's also magical efforts to consider...mundane troops are one thing, but we need magi and clerics too.
>>
>>38481941
I know, I really want to replenish our veteran mages, but for now we really need people to man the walls (which we can't). I want loyal people too who won't betray us since our heroes revealed we have spies in the midst.
>>
>>38481941
>>38481990
As well, we don't have to go too in depth with infrastructure, that slows the game down a lot.

Back in Memor days, all we really needed was Biofuel and our Engineer hero Marcus to build Super Spider Tanks, they usually took care of the infrastructure problems themselves.
>>
Rolled 53 (1d100)

>>38482030
Only reason that worked out is because Marcus fucking critted also you had to consume 'resources'.

Anyway on an unrelated note anyone know why there is no fucking media on MC's who wear armor?

Instead all you have are these bitch ass spell flingers or chuckle fucks who stick in light armor because it makes them more agile.

Where the fuck did all the bad ass knight protags go?

Now its all villain or second tier bullshit...

Damn it i want to see or read something that has the MC being a heavily armored badass...
>>
>>38481990
That can be solved with this.
We use a super boon to make the rock live. It will have automated defenses in the form of canons lining the entire wall.

And or

Use a super boon to make all who enter the rock indoctrinated to follow the general. Like a passive loyalty effect. Any as saison or spy in the rock will become loyal to us and make themselves know to us so we can use there skills to our advantage.
>>
>>38482030
Yeah, that was back in the day though. Things were nicer back then. You didn't have to spend $1000+ in order to get to awesome power levels.
>>
>>38482083
Oh good you're here.

Btw how many resources do we have right now? And you're fine with us not focusing to much on infastructure right?

It's what killed the quest a bit, we only have so much time before each raiding party we can hardly get any work done so we had to pay our way into the Rock of Ages otherwise it would have taken us half a years worth of in real threads.
>>
>>38482118
We are RIGHT there though. We are so close, we have the rock, we have the safe place, we have the people!

What, specific, infrastructure pieces are we lacking?

The Rock ought to have come with roads/transportation and water sources. We already had food NAILED THE FUCK DOWN. We had more housing than we needed too.

Okay, so popcap is irrelevant. That's good. Now how many people are required to make sure that the entire place is /reasonably/ inhabited. So there aren't any passages used so infrequently that undead or giant spiders or other horrors of the underground start to take up residence in them? How much military are we going to need to keep the outer defenses reasonably manned?

>All you need is to do the basic prereqs
Okay, tell us more about those. What do they entail and how do we get them covered most efficiently? Is it best to just say "Build up the infrastructure" or do we need to be more specific and say things like "build up our industrial, mercantile, holy, and magical infrastructures." Could we instead just say something like "work towards making this place a fully functioning, war-oriented city that has to deal with a fuckload of undead and provides for all our troops and special units to take full advantage of their abilities"?

You want a more detailed system, sure whatever. We have to relearn how to play by the new rules though, seeing as we've not had this level of power since they were instituted.
>>
>>38482393
There wasn't much work that needed to be done. We also had the actions to get any necessary work done in a reasonable number of turns before the next disaster hit...while still pursuing our cool shit.

The only time I remember worrying about basic needs with the Memor was when we had just boosted our pop by a shitton with recruiting...and then we got a shitton of feral ghouls under our control too.

And even then all we had to do was research the glowing flower from thread 1 and tell Claire to deal with this shit for a turn or two.

Let alone every battle that happens usually stretches out to half a month in real time, because we require a weeks worth of planning to come up with a semi decent essay of strategy for one turn and STILL get fucked in the ass, meaning we really do need to spend that much time.
