Last time on fantastic civ quest.

An army was crushed, reinforcements arrived, a fortress came to life, secrets were revealed, and miracle went down.

After that plans were discussed for the future.

Overall a lot went down...and even more lies beyond the oncoming horizon.

Got out early due to exam so ere we go.

Anyway if you keep on bitching about the Memor and this civ well guess what?

Free tip you are close to a win condition.

Bonus You have already most of what the Memor have dreamed about. Or so claims the Prophet...who still hasn't revealed his actual name the bastard.

I liked most of the action near the end of last thread. I was thinking we build places for training, like schools, or a church for getting holy men for the undead and healing. Also I feel the commander would be better at finding Val, but I agree on we needing recruits.

Action 1
Evan, Richard, your battle was fierce and legend but an even great danger awaits us now more than ever. We need men, men who will defend the walls that we have built. And we need to find a lot of them.

Richard, you of all people know more than ever the need for loyal men, men we can trust, and where we might aquire them. Go and see to it that you [Identify] and Commander [Turn] them to you for loyalty till death and even beyond. Recruit only the most loyal men to replenish our numbers.

Recruit!

Action 2
Architect, Builders, Dwarves and clerics, we made it thru a this hard time and a lot was lost this day. We should design a place for us to morn the fallen and give people a place to worship.

{Design}

War Action
Clear the battlefield of any remaining Barbarians left behind and look for our missing troops and Valeria.

Have the Prophet look for them and Ted and Ashely ask the trees

----------

After the action we should send an envoy to see about giving info on the undead.
>>
>>38495907
Is it a secret win condition or a public win condition?

Also we're not very close to what the Memor dreamed about.

Market Garden was MUCH larger AND it invovled allying everyone in their map, killing off the others. Sure we have the north and south men, but the undead is an issue.

Also exactly expying market garden going to be damn near impossible since the land doesn't want peace.

As well, we still don't have an army of behemoths or anything like self replicating super spider tanks, but maybe we can get there soon.
>>
>>38496270

That's about as far as we went with Market Garden as Memor. Never did finish the second border.
>>

...anon do you have any IDEA how big that area is?

Its akin to the Memor zone.

Its seriously fuck off huge area.

Its a secret win condition as only public win conditions are those chosen by a player.

Usually it ends in death on their end which is precisely why LOSING IS FUN!

Calculations completed.

Hidden.

>>38496483

Just making sure, we lost the peddlers in that last fight? I ask because this list is what I have for troops after words.

By the way all your forces who were sent to attack led by the commander besides the undead and knights have all perished.

The only troops who survived the HQ falling are the following.

Runesmiths.
Clerics.
Dwarven Soldiers.
Levies.
Civilians.

The Fae and monsters were however eventually found.

Though they were admittedly worst to wear.

The reinforcements have also arrived.
Got Super Soilder

Okay, SA is gonna be back in a few hours. I was supposed to make planned Expy's for the Memor's final stage Infrastructure so we could match their industry and have less of their problems.

>>Infrastructure:
>Fast Breeder Reactor(online)
-Suggested Medieval Equivalent:
Fast Mana Reactor - Does the same thing except uses fissile mana material instead of radioactive subtsances

>Biofuel Emergency Generators
>Biofuel purifier
>Biofuel Production Facility+
This was the Memor's primary strength, both infinitely renewable due to their location and highly valuable. Capable of generating [High Quality] Biofuel

-Suggested Medieval Equivalent:
Coal/Wood Emergency Generator
Coal/Wood Purifier
Coal/Wood Production Facility+

We're going to use Coal mined from the earth and Charcoal both collected from Lumber to power our war machines. We'll need a purifier to enhance the potency of our fuels and a +tier production facility

>Barracks
>Private Quarters
>Storage labs(glowing flowers, finger biter fish, experimental fluids)
>Laboratory
>Workshop
>Armory
>Secure warehouse

Suprised we don't have these yet. We need them.

>Medbay
-Suggested Medieval Equivalent:
Hospital

>biology splicing chamber
>biotech research labs
>biostorage facility

We have no use for these

>Psionic research department
I suppose the Prophet can use it, so we should set up a [Psionic Meditation Room] for him

>A.I. Core
I'm not sure how we'll get that or an AI who is usually a hero. Perhaps a [Clockwork Logic Machine]?

>chemical warehouse
-Suggested Medieval Equivalent:
Alchemical Warehouse

>Holding cells
>Holding tanks
Hmm, useful if we plan to experiment on monsters. I don't know if we ever will.

>Offices
>Data Storage
Need that. Perhaps a [Library] as opposed to Data Storage.

>Super Computers
[Super Clockwork Logic Machine]

>Bionics lab
Clockwork Enhancement Lab - For metal prosthetics and stuff

>Cloning facility(occupied)
Not gonna have a use for this unless the Super Mutant or Prophet can make one.

>Nanite bed(busted)
Don't think we can do these or even have a use for them. . .

>Broodnest
>Lovenest+
DEFEINITELY need these. Instead of a Brood Nest, we'll have a [Pleasure Garden] where Ashley can sow the airs and pools with her Aroma and a [Lovenest]+

>Crystal Grove
>Swarm Vats
>Sac Nest
>Egg Garden+
No use for these here

>>Technology:
>Super Advanced biolabs
Don't think we'll be doing bio stuff anytime soon, unless the Super Mutant or Prophet has any knowledge of this.

>Complex A.I.
Complex Logic Machine

>flower research(complete)
Don't got glowy flowers

>spider tank conversion
Steam Tank conversion

>Hydra
Healing Potion

>Super Spider Tanks(Markus edition)
Super Steam Tanks

>serum mutant
>Mutagen Serum
Again, we don't have Clora Zel or a lab to make these yet. But maybe we can if we do the research in the Alchemical lab.

>Psi crystals
Eh, that is a LONG project.

>SpiderBorgs
My god do I wish we can replicate these, somehow, but we don't have richard.

Perhaps BioGolems instead? Capable of consuming biomass and scrap to self replicate?

>Psionic tech(crude)
The Prophet can work on this I guess. . .

Producing these should make us reach the end game Memor stage of technology

Super boon spending suggestion
Automated cannions lining the walls of the rock. Fully automated and dose not need amo. Can fire specialty rounds like holy for example.
Can auto target. Etc...
>>
>>38497508
That would be worth a boon+ at most, a MAJOR boon should be something far more reaching and valuable, such as alliances perhaps.

Gonna go reread the last thread and try to guage the political situation.
>>
>>38496536
Question Genie

In your words, the dwarves and elves made a "Pact" with the Holy Host.

This is the same pact/alliance type thing yes? That is to say, the Dwarves and Elves have aligned themselves with the Holy Host?
>>
>>38497547
*Super Boon should be far more wide reaching
>>
Rolled 42 (1d100)

>>38497579
Dwarfs are trading with them and offering expertise.
'
Elves are outright offering direct military support inexchange for it themselves in dealing with a certain target.

In other words their goals are aligned so for now they are working together.

>>38497145
If your willing to burn enough of em sure.
>>
>>38497655
But it's not an actual pact/alliance like we have with the men of the north and south is it. Also the Dwarves are still selling to the Barbarians yes?

Also I know who that certain target likely is. This is gonna get ugly.

How do the Holy Host feel? Do they think they are winning?

While I'm cool with waiting ... we've done that for a long time now. We have a fair idea of things we need to do, which is everything.

I know we are knowledgeable and can do things with out waiting for one person in the hopes of a perfect plan.

I respect all of you, but dam! We really need to stop acting like babies and act more. It's the flow from staying in motion that gets us good things. We can break and we can think about plans. Lets just not do 1 turn a day at best ... it's been killer for my hopes, for this game and later ones.

Spend a [Super Boon]

Action 1
We need, and I quote a "Metric Fuckton" of people to fully man the walls. So recruit a metric fuckton.

Didricksons and Commander, just as before, use [Stand Still] to get the masses to stop and listen to your words.

Unlike last time we're going to have picky parameters.

Use [Identify] to identify anyone who is working against us either by working with bandits or undead, especially in the case of Dwarves and Men. We know the Dwarves are supplying to the Barbarians, this cannot continue. Ashley use [Awestruck Aroma] to make the people more susceptible to our words. Use your [Persuasion] and [Turn] ALL the Dwarves who have or want to work with the Barbarians to our side, telling them of the madness they unleashed and how bad that is. Leave the barbarians no supplies, no help. Make such a rousing speech on both the Rock of Ages and how much of an AWESOME MOUNTAIN it can be to live in with your best poetry and charisma skills, I want all the dwarves you can get your hands on. ALL of them if can be.

After that, men and humans. We need more manpower, Heavies especially.

We also need
-Veteran Magi
-Dwarven Mechanics
-Veteran Civil Workers (they'll be able to tell us what is lacking in the civilian sector and help us improve it)
-Veteran Military Workers (they'll be able to tell us what is lacking in the military sector, logistics, troop disposition, etc.)
-Veteran Wisemen/Scientists (Smart people who are very learned)
-Veteran Officers
-Synergy Shamans (those learned how to harmonize different forces and make them work together more effectively)

Go out and find the Inventor Girl. That is a plotline I want to see with mine own eyes before the end of the civ, and we have an entire garden in our fort to protect. Convince her that the fall of the fort means the fall of her garden which is inside the fort, and all the golems. I want her and the Golems to join our side.

Whenever you turn anyone, make sure they are absolutely positively loyal to the point of death. Fanatically loyal even.

That means NO MORE SPIES, SABOTUERS, POTENTIAL TURNERS. PLOT ARMOR STAMPED AGAINST ANY TYPE OF INTERNAL ATTACK FROM OUR OWN PEOPLE

Last but not least, [Prophet] find Valeria, I don't care how long it takes but find her and convince her to [Teleport] home, sooth her troubled mind (FIX IT) of any ailments. We need her now more than ever.

Oh, also we don't recruit elves. We don't dislike them or anything, but we have no room for them in our society.

Action 2
Infastructural Development

OUR ROCK OF AGES IS EMPTY. WE NEED TO FILL IT WITH STUFF.

I DON'T WANT TO WASTE TIME INFRASTRUTURING, I WANT TO GET INTO WAR MODE

Accordingly, I can organize the things we need by [Primary] [Secondary] and [Tertriary

Primary: Involves the retrieval and production of raw materials, such as corn, coal, wood and iron. (A coal miner and a fisherman would be workers in the primary sector.)

Secondary: Involves the transformation of raw or intermediate materials into goods e.g. manufacturing steel into cars, or textiles into clothing. (A builder and a dressmaker would be workers in the secondary sector.)

Tertiary: Involves the supplying of services to consumers and businesses, such as baby-sitting, cinema and banking. (A shopkeeper and an accountant would be workers in the tertiary sector.)

Primary: Mines, Refineries, farming, fishing, construction, chemical manufacturing, miscellaneous manufacturing (glass, medicine, textiles, etc.)

Secondary: Smiths, Steam Workshop, Food processing, Distilleries/Breweries, Armorers, Fletchers, Golem crafters, Magical/Holy Practices, Alchemical and Rune workshops, Construction firms, anything else that puts out finished products for use.

Tertiary: Training Grounds for Soldiers, Academies for officers, Testing facilities for alchemists, magical/Holy learning and training facilities, libraries, universities, brothels, doctors/medical academies, anything else that trains people or doesn't deal in actual goods.

--Memor List:--

If this is gonna be our Memor Level of Power civ, we need Memor Tier infrastructure

Prophet, you coordinate with the Architect, Builders, Mort, and the Peddlers on the things we'll need

Mort, Peddlers, go out to that company, the one that sold us the key and said they could get us anything?

Coal/Wood/Compost Emergency Furance
Coal/Wood/Compost Purifier
Coal/Wood/Compost Production Facility+

The Prophet came from a time where peopled used liquid fuel. We don't use liquid fuel. Instead we burn fuel and heat steam, that means coal, charcoal from wood, and compost from waste and decomposition biomatter. RAISE THOSE SMOKESTACKS HIGH

I want [High Quality] tear fuels that we're going to be throwing into our engines

We also need a [Biostorage Facility] to hold all the trees, biomatter, etc. we gather so that it can be convertered into the above generators

Next, these things:
Hospital - To increase our health
Psionic Meditation Room - Sorry Prophet, we don't have sci-fi tech, but this is the next best thing! You can delve into the mind here and research psionic stuff

[Clockwork Logic Machine Core]
to house the Logic Machine. It ain't an A.I., but it's the next best thing in this time period

[Super Clockwork Logic Machines]
To boost the Logic Machine Core

[Clockwork Enhancement Lab] - For metal prosthetics and stuff

[Alchemical Warehouse] - To hold and protect all our chemicals

[Holding Cells] [Holding Tanks] - to hold stuff, dangerous stuff

[Library Data Storage] - To hold all our data in neat organized books and scrolls

Meanwhile in the shadows lurks a certain figure cursing about George. Formerly a 'royal' assassin who was SUPPOSE to kill the knight 'traitor' then...things happened after she caught up and stuck around ever since.

ahem before Valeria got well...Overed.

This image fits quiet well as a Pre Pic.

>>38500461
This works well for her young sister before she filled out as a pre knight.

-----
Prophet sent to track down one known as Valeria.

...undead hard to detect. Mutants...even with their changed minds were a challenge but to him easy. Not so much with undead...new challenge MUCH harder. Luckily she had brought along her living knights.

THIS made it so the Prophet could track her down. Which he did. Up to their meeting place where he bore witness to her gathered forces whom fled the battlefield.

Prophet was surprised to find her sister among them as well...especially considering it seemed TOO her sister also changed.

Now wearing...darker armor and odd new weapons.

Seems like Prophet might of been too late. Whatever got Valeria seemed to get her sister too.

Valeria...was easy to read before she got Over.

then...she changed.

A lot.

So much so as Prophet knew even her sister had a hard time recognizing her so Prophet didn't know he was alone on that.

Normally view is pretty skewed on that sorta thing.

Became VERY hard to read. Heavy resistance much improved which was hard to believe considering before she was no sap.

Then came the getting nuked...after that impossible to read.

Combined with her previous training...and changing the nuking made even the Prophet unable to divulge anything from her.

This scared Prophet.

Only time this had been previously true was with...SWH. Nearly got munched that time.

Even with Brood...was possible to detect something though granted good luck staying sane or figuring out what the hell its suppose to mean.

Undead kinda remind him of that but MUCH harder to detect.

Brood were...rather distinctive.

After Valeria got nuked...well even her sister was unable to reconginze her any longer.

Prophet knows this.

Also knows her sister's deepest anguish over what happened to her sister.

Also her increasing dislike over what happened.

Her sister though...never snapped.

Until now.

Probably same thing or similar to what happened to Valeria and her...forces.

Her powers are...extremely odd. Familiar yet not familiar.

Just enough to give Prophet the heebee jeebees. This is extremely impressive considering what Prophet is used to and dealt with in other world.

Yet here is PRophet it now and wait what is-

OH SHIT ITS HERE TO-...wait a second. That isn't she or it.

What is this?

For second there...back flashbacks for Prophet.

Very bad.

What is that to feel like it?

Wait and how does it know Valeria?

Clearly two know each other...

...hm.

Cannot detect.

Can't risk connect to it...and Valeria much too strong now. No other forces can break into...

Troublesome.

Will have to do it old fashion way...but don't want to get close.

last time Prophet get noticed...may not be so lucky this time.

Ah...knights and her sister are departing.

Undead and her though...along with thing. They are heading towards forest.

Hm...

Must retrieve Valeria...

Don't want to.

Too scary.

Bad.

Must try though.

Rather not pursue into wicked woods.

Reminds of swamp.
>>
Rolled 45 (1d100)

>>38502331
Also suppose to fix mind...and retrieve her.

Not sure can do that...

She too changed. If it is even still she.

Prophet not know that. Even sister was uncertain.

Time to pursue can at least try to talk...if not work so well can run very fast.

Might be short but psi too can be good for running like hell...

Shall get closer...closer oh shit thing notices me.

Fuck.

If only sneakier.

...is close enough. Play it cool...bring out calibrated crystal and other crystal.

Carefully crush other test crystal...inject psi and unleash dust.

People think of souls...souls is not Mind. Mind is person not soul. In this time they got things confused. Shall test it with Valeria.

Took awhile to get crystal and calibrate it properly now for test. Until result must talk.

"Oh greetings Valeria."

"What do you want monster? Trying to tinker with my mind again?"

With that Prophet smiles. "No not this time. I current test you are Valeria from keep yes who fled from it vey...secret unknown passage?"

Prophet knows answer it is true. Had gleaned from it from others. Only blank spot is her test to become Overlord...

Could not see that and ran into other...voices. They were not amused and were quite strong.

Ever since Prophet knew better.

Problem is until she had got necrotic nuke he noticed those same voices in her head.

Afterwards...he noticed no other voices in her head besides them.

Shall test if she is or was in there. once it reac-ah answer acquired. Hm seemed to have ignored her answer was confirmed did not lie.

"So...you are not Valeria. Who are you?"

Thing is suddenly now very interested.

Valeria reacts...poorly. "I AM me you waste of space mind master. I am aware of your...dealings."

"What dealings?"

"This is NOT your people yet you try to force them to be. Can you not get over their failure?"

"Hm?"

"Are you not aware you...are not only so called Prophet here? Are you aware that those dealings were not you?"

"You speak much for one who isn't Valeria

"Oh yeah and how do you know that?"

Prophet ponders...he may be no necromancer or know much about undead. But on the other hand he knows much of mind and brain.

So with that Prophet points to his head and then hers.

"Your not in there anymore." Prophet thought he could hear her voice among others...but that ended with necrotic nuke. Her voice if it was hers in the first place was silenced then. Others...not so much.

That was when she got angry.

"I AM Valeria you fucking waste of space. DON'T be forcing your whispered secrets of these tanks and advanced weapons along with your...changed garden upon the Commander! I WAS with him much longer then you!"

"...If that is so and you are much better in believing in him in particular had his best interests in mind...why did you not save him from 'that' incident."

Gotcha thought the Prophet.

HE knew the truth only besides her and HE knew everything. HE knew that she left him to that wretched fate with best betrayal he had ever seen.

She had the power to stop it and save him...but she didn't.

She could of prevented the whole thing...granted she got a haircut then and its 'why' she arrived too late.

She didn't have to she COULD of got there right in time.

And there WE go busted. With that she suddenly changed.

"You have no IDEA what happened that day or what I had to do? More importantly I AM Valeria."

With that the Prophet put the final nail through the coffin.

"You weren't Valeria since that day when you turned your back on him when everything turned against him. You of ALL people turned your back on him when he needed it the most." With this she completely changed.

"You were NOT the exception contrary to his belief. You hadn't been Valeria since that day have you?" Prophet knew the whole truth or at least most of it. It wasn't the whole Overlord incident or even the Necro that killed her.

Oh no it was before that.

Not knowing it had been over for her long ago.

"You do not know the choice I had to make."

"No Valeria that is where you have it wrong. I know everything."

"I know you 'died' that day with your betrayal. I know that you didn't experience your death until far later. I know you are no longer in there if the body is even still yours. I know also that you are no longer in there whatsoever."

"Your mind is dead and hence so what you were."

"...You do not know of that impossible decision I was forced to make that day."

"There you are wrong. I know you do not have his best interest in mind."

"Yeah but I KNOW that you are trapped in the past! IN past events and people warping and twisting to make a mockery here! YOU do NOT have the best interests in mind either?"

"What does in matter when I am still me when you are not? Unlike you I am still here."

ouch that got her.

And now she snapped.

Well good thing she could fight for shi-OH FUCK.

With that the Prophet unexpectedly found himself both having to throw himself out of the way AND throw up a shield.

...thats right. I forgot that wasn't her anymore.

Technically that is true with real Valeria. Though real Valeria was hell of a centaur riding archer.

This Valeria did not have that problem lobbing some series mojo...oh why do these backwards idiots have to believe in souls instead of minds.

Fuckers got shit turned around and now thanks to that Prophet is here desperately trying to not get blasted to hell.

...well that is certainly a big crater and she is now coming again.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"

"You know i would offer the same but its not possible to kill what is already dead and your not technically undead so that loophole doesn't work either." Oh noice retort there Prophet now she is even MORE pissed...must say though this is some freakish amount of rage.

...it is at times like these the Prophet wished he was a better fighter. Alas he was not.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9SJa2qhrNQ

So now it was indeed time to run or die.

"YOU do NOT know of the trials I had to face of the choices i was forced to make! You keep yourself locked in the past prophet! I know it must be due to your failures and dreams?"

"Why else are you so obsessed?"

"We all have to make our own choices Valeria and accept the consequences of them."

"YET YOU DO NOT EITHER! You THINK yourself soo good prophet but you know nothing NOTHING! You are lost in the past and trying to drag others down into it and the failures that go along with it!"

"I WONT LET THAT HAPPEN PROOOOPHHHEET!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9SJa2qhrNQ

and so she is after the Prophet quite har...wait a second why is the ground moving.

OH NOW THAT IS CHEATING...making the ground he is running across go back towards her.

FUCK.

With that Prophet lashed out with his psi...and hit nothing...damn did he hate this undead bullshit. This means he is gonna have to materialize it instead bah.

Psi lash it is then and throw back.

...and she blocks it by rock shield.

She is also still coming for Prophet's head.

...oh how prophet misses the days of others to fight in his place with awesome hiveminded armies.

Yet here she comes again walk-no running on air while causing the ground to recoil beneath Prophet's feet.

How rude...and just what kind of devilish powers does she now possess?

With that the prophet lifted himself up in the air using his psi and began to fly away.

Alas she too could fly...and now there was a fucking tornado coming for him up high.

Face off is still bit too risky though...

"COME FORTH MY COMRADES DO NOT LET HIM ESCAPE!"

There she goes roaring awa-wait does she have other friends?

Oh dear she does indeed...monsters...when the hell did she get monst-oh fuck THAT THING is with them.

"Do you really think your precious commander and friend from the academy days will welcome you back? Especially with what you have done...much less become?"

"It matters not anymore I know he now knows thanks to you! Even so I will NOT let you drag him and those who believe in him down with your twisted plans!"

with that the Prophet chuckled. Her hesitation and retort was exactly the amount of time he needed.

"You know Valeria it is already too late! The rock of ages lays completed, the infrastructure constructed, and the people just pouring in! Granted I DID have to make some changes and adjustments...but it is FINISHED!"

With that the Prophet activated it and disappeared. Though while teleporting and upon arrival he could of sworn he earned her howls ringing through it all.

Dammit she's still out there as perhaps our second most dangerous opponent.

She was curable but the Prophet isn't capable of it even with plot armor destruction and crit. Hence why it just bounced off and seemingly had no affect.

There was an intense background showdown between them that led to the Prophet's victory.

All thanks to you /tg/.

Valeria is actually er correction was the character with the HIGHEST possible fucking loyalty rating.

I have never once given out a hero with such an absurdly high loyalty rating to another hero.

Only other hero whose loyalty rating compared was Prophet towards the Memor. but technically that wasn't with another hero...

I hope your fucking happy.

She was loyal to the very fucking end despite everything she went through. This only ended when the Commander mistrust and issues 'chose' the Prophet over her. So she conceeded because despite it all she STILL fucking cares and bowed out.

>>38504303
Actually it has to do with the coalitions that were called.

>>38504336
Seriously though I wasn't kidding about her utterly absurd loyalty rating.

I ain't ever handed out a hero(or any other unit for that matter) with that tier loyalty considering all that it takes to make happen.

>>38504371
Not joking there wasn't any other unit or hero who would of gone through the abuse and challenges she did till the very end.

Especially including the after affects.

all because her first character trait I wrote down was Stupidly loyal.

And I sincerely meant that with her.

Despite her intelligence she really was stupidly loyal. Much to the misery of her sister.

So congrats anons.

Hope your fucking happy for throwing away such a thing.
>>
>>38504371
>>38504446
Hmph. If she wanted the Commander to listen to her, all she had to do was give advise.

A lot.

Really, there wasn't a single thing that came out of her mouth that we didn't follow to the T.

Now if only she just talked more.

Action 1
Engineers, Builders, Architects, Dwarven Mechanics

It's time we began

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbPUfm_iR2s

We shall get head first into our first and primary project, the Steam Tank. A mobile walking engine of steel driven by dwarven ingenuity and fire

Now, I understand this is a complicated project, so it will take some time. I've listed out the preliminary needs.

We shall need

Armor: [Steel plates]
Weapons: [Rifle] [Galting Rifle] [Cannon]
Technology: [Steam Engine] [Rotating Turret]

Use [Design] and get to work on the preeliminary needs for the projects, and get to work started on the first thing. We'll get the project done bit by bit, and the good thing about it is with each successive projess we also gain technology as aside.

We have everything you need, from the Steam Foundry, to the Laboratories, the Libraries where you can work and catalogue designs, the Smithies and Forges.

Let's get started gentlemen.

Action 2
Commander, Richard. The Golems have been our closest neighors for the longest time. They were the first other civilization we encountered, and it would not do to have them so unfriendly to us

I want you to go and improve our relations with them, however way you can. Bring gifts with you

Spend a [Normal Boon]

War Action 1
Military Training and Reorganization

We're getting an influx of new people, so I want our military to be reorganized.

Officers and Military Personell work on setting up proper military organization, squads, briagdes, divisions, corps, etc.

Set up a military heirarchy

Every citizen capable of bearing arms must be learned in some modicum of defense in a militia. Had the enemy breeched the last barrier in the last battle, I don't want our people to be lambs to the slaughter

All of us, down to the last man woman and child, shall defend the rock with our lives. NOT A STEP BACKWARD

This is WAR GUARD

This land wans WAR

If this is what the land wants, then we shall serve the land and fullfill its purpose.

In a deep dark forest in a cold rain two figures head towards a certainly citadel. There they knocked and once the door opened.

"ooh what are YOU doin-"

"Hello she good my Count."

"oh...my apolagies little lady...come in Valeria my adobe is yours for the this night."

Valeria stood and looked at herself in the mirror...her appearance reminded herself of what happened oh so long ago. Or felt like it anyway.

After she went to the Count's table.

"So...what happened my dear? I recall you were rather pleasant...unlike your 'leader'."

"He is no longer the man I knew."

"Hah bout time you figured that one out?"

"So what is your plan now?"

With that Valeria looked at him.

"I need passage through the forest North North East."

"Oh why is that?"

With that Valeria looked at her hands and thought about it before replying. "I...need to make an apology."

"hoh?"

"I made a promise and was unable to keep it. After that well...we'll see."

"Hm...very well then that can be easily granted especially considering you are no longer on his team."

"WAIT what is this!" broke in a certain Warlord. "The Val who was stupidly loyal is no more?"

"...hello there and no not anymore am I with he."

"...you your joking right," asked the Warlord in dead shock.

"no."

"...he he through away someone so loyal? What the hell I would never do such a thing so low or be so stupid!"

"I know and that only makes it worse. "

"So where are you heading?"

"Through the forest northwest."

"Hm...wait a second isn't that-"

"Yes it is."

"Oh...so its true those ones ARE alive afterall!"

"Indeed they are and i need to say I am sorry."

"For wha-oh...dear child."

"Shut up."

"hm...well all things considered I do believe I will go with!"

"Wha-no not needed."

"heh I wont be needed here anyway at least not anytime soon and I just HAVE to meet this lovely lady!"

"Hm well I have my suspicions."

Before that dark terrible rain walked Valeria alone...she walked and walked before sitting down in a battlefield between holy host and undead forces.

There she sat down and stared blankly ahead. Ignoring the lonely wagon and figuring hopping down attending to those who fell on both sides.

Eventually the figure took note and approached then sat down next to her. That was when she took note smiling and cheefully began to explain what as all happened to her.

The figure meanwhile sat there and listened silently...eventually she finished and started laughing at it all.

That was when the being finally spoke in soft voice.

"Its okay to be sad and cry."

And so she did.

So the being continued to speak. "Its always the most cheerful and seemingly happy among us who are actually hurt the most. Due to that very reason and encouragements they never are told or get the help they need."

She just cried even harder as the figure then grabbed her and gave her hug as she continued to break down weeping.

The figure merely sat there in silence and comforted.

After a long while she got over it before taking a proper look.

"Who are you?"

"..."

"Why were you attending both the living and the dead?"

"..."

"How did you know?"

"...I help."

"Help both the living and dead?"

"Everyone needs help lady and I do not judge despite you being an Overlady."

"wah how did you-"

"I have met others of your kind."

"How i could of sworn we were quite rare?"

"That you are."

"...then how."

"I guess I am just that lucky."

"That is fucking terrible luck."

"Like I said lucky didn't say whether it was good or bad."

"Wait why did you approach me?"

"Because clearly you needed someone right then."

"...You are a good person."

"no that i am not."

"How so?"

The figure in its mask looks at her and pointed.

Looking over Valeria smiled.

Stuff that would be immensely helpful and for once...she also decided to listen the voices whom she ignored for so long.

With that they told her things...

and more things...

and she listened.

She listened and then she smiled a wonderfully evil smile that made even the undead escorts around her shutter.

So she walked and listened while she was escorted through the forest.

She enjoyed the sights and the stuff that was explained to her.

She made plans...and enjoyed her new companions company.

Especially the Smiles Sam. She just couldn't help but enjoy his company and break out into a smile.

She swore it was contagious, but it was rather hard to hate the guy.

For some reason despite what she is he stuck around and helping her. Eventually they made it through the woods.

With that she was done with listening and started talking to the voices.

They responded.

Meanwhile they were getting closer to their goal.

Sam Smiles meanwhile was also teaching her a bit. His focus was astounding and his skills even more so. She asked him about what happened to him with Overladies and which he responded.

...She never asked him about it again.

Instead she took a detour.

Deep deep down...

There she met a certain being just as the voices predicted.

She thought about the conversation she had with Sam Smiles...about family and what she should do.

With the voices...she made her decision and she spoke to this being.

The being responded.

She spoke and it in shock made an offer.

She accepted and decided while some stuff was no more...at least there was still some stuff she could live up to.

Sam Smiles meanwhile looked on before departing. He had a mission after all.

Eventually Valeria accomplished it and continued on.

"Don't speak like that I know about the impossible decision you were forced to make and I am unbelievably thankful for it. More then you could ever know."

"what is it," begged Valeria.

"I need you to kill my husband and father to my children."

"I understand I was planning to do so anyway...just one question though."

"What?"

"Just HOW did you manage to get him to fuck you?"

"...you really don't want to know believe me."

Super boons are capable of breaking shit and overrides possible due to their strength but you still have to make it go through somehow.

Necrotic energy is one the nastiest types on top of that.

We really need to fix that then, and shift peoples loyalty to the Rock or something, the Commander is really an extreme liability and currently the cause of a majority of our problems, as is the Prophet.

Despite them also being our most useful and personally favorite characters.
>>
>>38510874
... The commander is fine, it's the dam voices in his head that are the problem.

Voices pushing for the past to be reawakened in a new form. The prophet helps facilitate it and the voices push for it more.

As more of the past comes back, our people will change. The more we grow, the more this land will fight us.

We lost her because the path we are now walking is not that of this world time.

Then with the offering of this pic and a super boon I summon thee gem forge!
The mighty forge draws on the vast amounts of necrotic energy of the land, with the rock it's self acting as an antenna for it the forge shall never run dry but will instead drain the immediate area of necrotic energy and continue to draw more and more. Draining a wider area. Until one day the land is cleansed of necrotic energy and corruption.

The way the forge gathers necrotic energy dose not cause any of said energy to interact with any one or anything around it (so we don't corrupt ourselves)

The gem forge draws the necrotic energy to make mana crystals at a rate genie will decide.

In time we will become the magic capital of the world!

Action 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkAsHdUrtso

Gears, cogs, guns, moving parts in the mind. Engineers, Mechanics, Dwarves, their thoughts cooperated as the Prophet gave them communication to each other, the Synergy Shamans assisting him.

From the mind to paper, drawings, blueprints, designs, numbers on ledgers for the number of parts, the weight, the needed materials, the supplies. The Libraries and Data storage filled with designs. The builders inputted and the Logic Machine calculated, numbers to the most precise detail. A plan on paper and pen. A [Design] by the architect.

From paper, to mouth and manufactors. A telepathic signal sent along with paper orders. In one part of the they made bolts and screws, in another they drilled rifles into barrels, in the fiery forges that forged steel plates from red metal, while the alchemists gathered saltpeter, sulfur, all the needed elements for the black powder gathered from Alchemical labs that worked into the night.

From the manufactors to warehouse. From the warehouse to the Workshop and Assembly. A great moving line on a machine fueled by the Furnaces. One man would screw a screw, and the construction would move down the line. Another would hammer a bolt, and then it would move down the line. Another would hammer a plate, someone install a boiler, treads for another, all moving, constant motion towards the finished product.

The Shamans, the Civil Workers, and the Prophet channeled the magic of industry throughout the runes that ran throughuot the rock. He had organized people to efficiency before, now he did it again The nation was like like cog on a music wheel being turned by crank, the song it sang was “Organize! Organize! Organize”.

The gear of industry turned.

Or we might just piss off every undead for a hundread leagues, as well as possibly the holy host.

There are just so many things to consider here.
>>
>>38514360
Why would we piss off the holy host? We are cleansing the land of the worst corrupting force there is. And turning it in to very useful mana crystals. They would be all for that.

And how would the undead know the gem forge exist? And if they come trying to attack the forge will suck them dry if the necrotic energy that keeps them alive.
>>
>>38514445
These are all assumptions in a perfect ideal scenario.

What if the Mana pings off to the holy host as necrotic energy and they get pissed off at us for collecting that stuff?

The undead would feel themselves being drained and get ANGRY and be able to pinpoint exactly where they are being drained.

And then its only a matter of time before some extremely powerful undead who is either resistant or just not affected by it or the sheer wave of pissed off undead overwhelm the forge and attack us.

I would be fine if we could spend some time optimizing it, planning it out, making sure it works as intended but just rushing into it right now. . .believe me we've had a dozen awesome schemes and devices we attempted that backfired.

Say for example Psionic Virus missiles designed to to burrow into Zombie Brains and give the hivemind control over them? With added failsafes to burn and destroy the brains if someone else tried to take control?

Another more powerful being used the opportunity to take control of the zombies, even after their brains where destroyed she used her powers to conjure into existence new brains for the zombies, and since we took down their mental barreirs she had complete control and power from them.

>The only freedom this land wants is chaos. ( Granted I could be wrong about the land's wants.)
No, you're exactly right.

The land believes that with eternal war comes eternal freedom. It won't allow any to conquer or subdue it in peace, it wants War.

That is fine. Why conquer the unconquerable?

Genie wants to test War Mode and War Mode is what we're gonna give. The Rock has said the land even supports those who support it.

Hmmm. My brain just hatched another crazy idea.

They want to put the Commander out of his misery, because they don't like his body walking around with voices in his head and the Prophet at him.

But, what if we could do that without killing the commander?

Here me out.

We use a super boon to create a freak ripple in time, resulting in two identical Commanders somehow showing up in the same place, but with a very clear distinction of which is the 'original'.

The original real one is cured and goes to Valeria and his wife to live out the rest of his days with them.

The other one is still under our control and is in everyway the same as the commander we have right now.

Valeria and the Commander's wife gets her husband back, and we get to keep our Commander.
>>
>>38514994
Or we could just study the lab the super mutant soldiers came from and grow a copy of the commanders body, kill it. Ruff it up to hide any missing detailed and give it over to them
>>
>>38515093
>>38514994
Also do the same with the prophet they want both dead so we make them think both are dead.
The general and prophet put on masks and armor to look different and let the world think the Dickinsons are in charge.
>>
>>38515093
They would probably see that right away, as well as our commander being alive and still leading.

Where as in this case, the commander would be alive and theirs, while being able to explain that ours is his Long Lost Brother, posing as him. Which is why he fell to the voices and why he seemed a different man.
>>
>>38515151
I think if the Commander is cured they shouldn't have too much of a grudge against the prophet. Only reason they want him dead is because of his stranglehold on the Commander.
>>
>>38514826
To her, probably the following of this unknown prophet. The building of things not of this world. Basically pushing for a civ long past.

We started this civ to test magic. We turned it into something else.

I'm sure other things we have done are there, but I'm tired and at work. I just remember bits and pieces at the moment.

I just know that us pushing for fantasy memor is what caused the change in Val. We had an unseen choice between the two and it seems we choose the past renewed over her. (I hope I am articulating this right. I'm kind of out of it today. I keep having weird moments of clarity mixed with drain.)
>>
>>38515241
>We started this civ to test magic.
Meh.

The only thing we have learned about Magic, just like the last two fantasy games, is that everyone is so much more better at it than us.

Even filthy barbarians are better at magic than us. AMAZINGLY better at it.

Magic hasn't been our friend since the Cultists.
>>
>>38515288
>>38515241
In any event the point is moot since we're going to be upgrading our technology with magic for some sweet Magiscience.
>>
>>38515158
>>38515174
That's why we hand over dead copy's of both.
We stage a fake cou de ta to make the world thing Richard is in charge, and to an extent he will be, we will scare the generals face so he can't be recognized
We do something to the prophet to make others think he is one of the tank born soldiers.

Boom. With out sacrificing any one we pacify our biggest threat.

We can make it even better by telling them the the generals last words where "Val I'm so sorry..."
>>
>>38515330
I'm not seeing how any of that is better than giving Valeria and company a cured Commander while we keep an identical version

The thing is you ARE sacrificing someone, where as the "Lost Identical Brother" plan doesn't.
>>
>>38515439
My plan dose not involve using a super boon.
I know I might be spend happy but I try to only get stuff that will improve us and provide good investments.

And with studying the lab we can build and figure out a lot of other things.

Like magic cyborg flesh golems
>>
>>38515751
Hmm, I see what you mean. Something like that is incredibly risky though otherwise. Especially since there is a clear plausibility that they'll find out its a fake.

We can still study the lab for biogolems but I wouldn't propose the idea to try and fool Valeria with a corpse.
>>
>>38515810
Not just any corps. A clone if the general and prophet, ones with copy's of there mind, in case of post death mind reading.
And killed and mangled and rotted to make it harder on them to detect anything wrong.

Besides I don't like the twin brother thing. They want the soul of the legendary general to be theres or to move on. And I don't like the idea if giving an all ready hostile force a brilliant general.
>>
>>38516026
They (at least Val and Wife) wouldn't be hostile, since their anger is entirely directed on the Commanders body being controlled by the voices. Take away that, and they have no other reason to be butthurt at us. Likewise, the Commander would also not try to harm the people he helped raise up.
>>
>>38516126
>>38516026
IN fact. Isn't Valeria EXTREMELY loyal to the Commander?

If we ensure the cured commander holds no ill will towards the people he used to lead, she would be loyal to him.
>>
>>38516126
>>38516168
They would want the rock. Who wouldn't. With an identical commander
They could easily infiltrate and replace ours.

Even if they don't they are still another faction we will only be making stronger and we have no hope of befriending them.

I'm not for this plan. Even if we can keep some level of twisted trait on the copy commander like twisted intentions or something. It still won't keep us safe

And at this point with what Val has done to herself and the promises she made. The only way to end this is with a corps. Hers or a copy general.
>>
Rolled 47 (1d100)

>>38516168

>>
>>38516287
Valeria hates the Rock. She thought it was a bad idea put forth by the Voices/Prophet.

I don't think she even really likes the undead.

She only cares for the Commander.

>They could easily infiltrate and replace ours.
AH, but here is the key difference.

The real commander has no name.

The other commander, WOULD have a name.

That alone is clear and distinct enough of such a major part of his character that there wouldn't be any dispute.

Valeria is our most dangerous opponent yet by the sheer loyalty she holds and her wits and knowledge as a determined commander. Even if we won't ever brefriend them, just not making her and her allies our enemies is enough.
>>
>>38516482
A name can be faked... I don't know. I'm not quite convinced yet... Could we have the lowest level of twisted on the commander we give them just so we can know what they are up to?
>>
>>38516730
>A name can be faked...
Not the commanders.

His has been destroyed. He can't have a name and never will.

> Could we have the lowest level of twisted on the commander we give them just so we can know what they are up to?
We could always just plot armor him to never go against us again, maybe make it so he finds redemption with his wife and children who don't even spend time with their father.

That way there's nothing Val can say about him still being under our control.
>>
>>38516835
Anyway, I don't really think this is the type of action our limited super boons should be used for, but it is just an idea I wanted to talk to someone in depth about.
>>
>>38516835

Continue with the Military Reorganization handled by our Commander in Chief as well as the Military Workers and Officers.

As well, turn to the Veteran Magi and Clerics.

As some of you know, our primary threat in the area is magic. The Southern Kingdoms, The Barbarians, even (and especially) the Undead.

We may often find ourselves outnumbered 5 to 1 in magical units, and their diversity is nothing to scoff at. They bring clerics and shamans, sorcerors and warlocks, and more often than not they have a Hero backing them.

You're going to need to train to beat the odds, how to do more than disrupt but also stop their magic. You're going to need to expect them to have multiple high ranking hero wizards AND to use synergy and the very land and spirits against us.

As ever our enemy outnumbers us. Each of you, must be an Army in your own right.

Forces are being split apart and organized.

Richard hasn't noticed anything particularly unusual among the waves. Mostly due to him being utterly incapable of going through so many at once...

Forces dispatched.

Military has been organized.

...your magic users are not particularly impressed with the request.

Most thoughts being along the line of 'we are going to fucking die'. While the holy types are more along the lines of 'our dieties test us and hopefully our bodies wont be taken'.

They do not however decide to leave but more along the lines of 'you have got to be fucking kidding me.'

The [Lovenest]+

Was part of the big infrastructure thing. An EXPY of Clora's Pleasure Palace, except instead of her pheremone serums in the air and water it's awestruck aroma.

That clarify things?

Could we make a psi enhanced collage?
The psi built into it make the teaching done faster and better.
So we can train a lot more magic troupes.

And for war actions we should search the lands in the rock to see if there is anything we don't want in there and then train the civilians for a few terns to shoot the same way this guy dose

Long ass time.

It takes YEARS to train up proper archers. Its why most ranged levies you'll encounter will likely be using crossbows if they got the money or slings if they don't.

>>38521347
It would be most difficult, but not impossible.

You have a Pleasure Palace instead due to bonuses a lot the stuff you wanted got upgraded.

---

The delegate spent several weeks conversing with the dwarves. Less conversing, more living with them. Eating with them, mining the earth with them, talking casually with them from anything from Dwarf Society to customs and traditions.

It was difficult work, having to learn over 20 different dialects, and read emotions on faces covered in bear and grit, but soon enough there was little else the dwarves could teach them.

Somtime later, a convoy carrying chests of wealth, samples fine items produced from every merchant and craftsmen in the rock, and lots and lots of ALE from the farms arrived. Gifts for the dwarves.

The delegate greeted them as was custom for a foreigner to greet a dwarf, and spoke.

"Greetings. We come bearing good will and wish to speak with you. Please, accept these gifts."
>>
>>38514524

No they been fucked over by dice plenty of times also most their actions are spent acquiring resources which is why its rare for them to really develop much.

As for whats going on they keep a few contacts and do make sure to do scouting.

and they do bite the dust on some occasions as well. Really though players are pretty op compared to most of them especially considering tech advancement and number of heroes you get.

[Medium] Quantities of Average Quality fuel per turn

and

[Small] Quantities of High Quality fuel per turn

>Secondary: Smiths, Steam Workshop, Food processing, Distilleries/Breweries, Armorers, Fletchers, Golem crafters, Magical/Holy Practices, Alchemical and Rune workshops, Construction firms, anything else that puts out finished products for use.
>Tertiary: Training Grounds for Soldiers, Academies for officers, Testing facilities for alchemists, magical/Holy learning and training facilities, libraries, universities, brothels, doctors/medical academies, anything else that trains people or doesn't deal in actual goods.

The hospitals and Alchemists should be making good amounts of medecine, and our miscelanous smithies and glassmakers and textile workers are making products there.

Action 1 - (2 Art Boons)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUmq1cpcglQ

The Endless Circle turned

with it, the Gear of Industry

And the wheel of Time itself, the Architect and Builders and Dwarves working round the clock.

As indefatigable as the industrial machines they worked with, as unconquerable as the war machines they designed, as cold and calculating as the Logic Machines that crunched their numbers, and with the same fiery passion as the Blast Furnaces and Steel Mill that poured rivers of hot sparking metal. Steam Locomotives on Iron Rails ferried beams and metal and scrap to and fro the fortress, as Dwarves and Men labored into the night and into the day and into night again. One shift left for hearth home and bed, the other rose up to take its place.

There were designers, there were builders, there were bullet-makers, there were mechanics, there was Industry, there was steel. All these and security were within.

The Star under the Fort from whence power flows, burned with the fire and smoke that lit up the night sky, day and night without stop.

And there was a music in the endless procession of progress. Not of flute or harp, but of War and Freedom.

The land itself felt what these people where working on. . .WAR. And like the little men in the fortress, it too felt the dreams, the desires, the visions of war machines that marched their way from the minds of men into reality.

The Endless Circle turned

The Wizard had been staring for many hours, as though in deep deep though, staring atop the tallest to somewhere far away only his grey eyes and wizened mind could see. Few bothered him, a few did but got no response, it would seem the only one who had any clue what he was doing was the Prophet, who simply said "don't bother a man when he's talking to friends."

He had been like this the whole day.

Just before the sun set, he pulled out something from his tunic. A Harmonica.

"What are you doing?" asked the Commander

"Calling them"

His tune was strange and eerie, you heard it as if it were both very near yet also very far away, an echo across a deep mountain.

As if on cue there was a boom, and a man on a broom stood floating in the air before him. Dozens more booms followed and the sky was filed with men and woman flying through the air, the Commander turned around to see flames burst from the ground, vines sprout up from the earth, clouds of mist and lightning bolts, men and women in all manner of fashiong stepping out of them. Shadows moved through the air, animals and birds flying and shifting into people, others just appeared. They carried wands, they carried staffs, they carried instruments and pets.

Hundreds, thousands appearing all over the city in the blink of an eye.

The Commander turned to the Veteran Magi, confused

"You told us we'd be outnumbered, that each of us had to be an army in our own right. I'm sorry to say I disagree. An army OF our own, is much better."

"How did you call them?"

"I called some old friends of ours. They called some old friends of theirs. Their friends called friends. . .

"You soldiers and you knights think you're the only one itching for glory, that battle belongs to you and you alone. There's a battle coming. Everyone can feel it. A big combat between good and evil.

And these Wizards want in. All these are as loyal as they could ever be commander. This battle is going to be bigger than any of us could imagine."

The army of Magi stood before the Commander as he stood directly on the center of the Great Rune that was the Rock, magic flowing toward him. They all stood facing him, and all at once they bowed.

"We pledge our loyalty to you, Commander."

He looked at the mass of those before him, and took in the sight. His hand reached for his side arm and his sword high into the air, and accepted their pledge of loyalty [Turn]-ing them to his side.

Only a super boon is possible of creating an army(due to the bullshit it entails).

So that would only net you additional magi forces.
>>
>>38527604
All we want is additional magi forces...I think.
>>
Rolled 97 (1d100)

>>38527677
oh alright all i am saying is that wont be enough to provide a full magi army is all I am saying.

There are precious few factions capable of deploying full blown magi armies.

Magi are notoriously expensive.
>>
>>38527677
Dat army though. . .this is gonna be our most magical civ ever, we pulled out the stops on the science, so why not go all out on the magic?

>>38527720
Hmm, well, let's see what happens behind the player curtain. Anyway, writing up the next war action.
>>
>>38527720
How would burning a Super Boon on that action to get us a Magi army backfire on us?

What would their upkeep be? (Keeping in mind COMPLETE LOYALTY and DESIRE FOR GLORY) Would it just be deducted directly from our Civ's economic output?
>>
>>38527720
Question. Can a Major Boon be enhanced to a Super Boon at cheaper cost? If we super boon the action can our income sustain them upkeep?

Also are we currently trading with the Dwarves and the Holy Host or do you still need a verification from us?
>>
Rolled 80 (1d100)

>>38528089
The upkeep would be ungodly.

As in you would NEVER be able to afford it even if you sat on a literal gold mine or gem mine(or several of each).

Magi are costly its why factions don't deploy more of them. That along with their rarity and time consuming training period.

>>38528092
Boons can stack but they don't really upgrade all that well.

Trade is good I don't think verification is needed unless its against. Which is when it becomes necessary.
>>
>>38528187
So we couldn't afford it even with the Super Boon then?

Err, can we even afford additional forces now?

How the heck do the Barbarians have so many mages then.
>>
>>38528187
Speaking of trade, how about the nearby cities and towns? The ones who had merc armies and hubs?
>>
Rolled 54 (1d100)

>>38528220
There is good reason for it believe me(I actually do attend to enemy logistics).

Yes you can afford additional forces just keep your distance from the real expensive ones.

>>38528238
They offer all manner of goods and to a lesser degree services.
>>
>>38528347
Can we initiate trade with them too? Presuming trade routes work as normal, enriching all involved.
>>
>>38528347
Grrr, but Genie there won't be a civ like this again, this may be our last chance to see the glory of a Magi Army. . .

Hrmph, well, gonna keep writing that war action.
>>
Rolled 95 (1d100)

>>38528410
Easily enough.

>>38528415
Who says there wont be?

Eh your probably right I seem to do a better job with post apoc for some reason...
>>
>>38528489
Could we afford the added magi forces burning a Major boon as described would net us?
>>
Rolled 47 (1d100)

>>38528489
He's right Genie, there won't be another chance like this again, who knows when we'll ever play fantasy again, and it's a super boon too. Surely you can let it slide this once?
>>
Rolled 45 (1d100)

>>38528531
For a time but you wouldn't be able to afford much else(that is an AWFUL lot magi).

>>38528600
It wasn't a super boon otherwise I would of let it slide.
>>
>>38528626
I think he means if we super boon it you wont fuck us over by having an army we cant pay for.
>>
>>38528626
So...a super boon would let us field an ARMY OF MAGI indefinitely?
>>
>>38528626
How combat effective would that be as compared to combined arms?
>>
Rolled 63 (1d100)

>>38528717
...indefinitely no.

For a time?

Yes.

>>38528765
Depends on their energy stores and power.

There is a reason why magi HATE not having escorts. They are far too fucking squishy on average and once their tapped out their toast if someone comes for them.

Its why magi always attach themselves to some other unit for that is where they shine the most.

Think about it.

Instead of radiomen you have a mages in your unit who specialize in comms.

Instead of medics you have magi.

Instead of artillarly you have bombardment focused magi.

In addition to magi who can weaken your enemies or buff your allies.

Magi are an invaluable asset only limited by their expense, training, and weaknesses.
>>
>>38528860
Oh we know how much of a pain in the butt they can be Genie, believe us.

Besides, some of them aren't even squishy at all, like the Cabal of mages who just vaporized 60 ton tanks and shrugged off .50 calibre bulllets.
>>
>>38528860
>Its why magi always attach themselves to some other unit for that is where they shine the most.
Also even while you say that, whenever the Barbarians attacked they mostly just kept their mages far in the back lines in a large group rather than spread out, combining their efforts and making it night impossible for us to even counter them.
>>
Thread is about to die and I want to keep these rolls. I'll just link them next thread okay. Also gonna be creating new thread.

New Thread >>38529139

Also Burning a Super Boon covers the army. What amount of boons will cover indefinite cost? Or at least make them want to be paid less. . .
>>
Rolled 97 (1d100)

>>38528979
That is because their energy reserves didn't run out and they weren't caught offguard so they were able to throw up some spells.

once it runs out magi are painfully aware just are vulnerable they are.

>>38529064
Actually that was only a portion of their spell casters were kept in reserve and they made sure to be near the elites/bosses for maximum protection.

Losing spell casters really REALLY sucks due to how hard they are to replace.

>>38529103
Don't game isn't until next tuesday anyway.
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>38529159
Its less a matter of pay and more a matter of general upkeep.
>>
>>38529201
I know, that's why I ask if we can major boon our upkeep to handle that sort of stuff indefinitely. Can it be done?
>>
>>38529201
>>38529234
Really really really desperate because this is our LAST CHANCE for this sort of thing.
>>
>>38529159
NO DO NOT USE SUPER BOON!
Wait until I get out trade stuff up to uber levels and we get cash poring in
>>
>>38529367
Just hypothetical here, not going thruogh with it.
