Peter Parker Quest Issue #69>Sins of the Father>My twitter: https://twitter.com/QuestOpCosgrove>Archives: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Peter%20Parker%20Quest >PPQ Character sheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PLPPUC3bT1bL6nPRdrvD-LWjuKo0JqUNtpGDNVZj8ak/edit?usp=sharing>PPQ rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F4k8_BJkQ8rLwPmZZNR0DrEFCnSwpLmKBDDQPXGD9m8/edit?usp=sharing You find yourself staring at the webs of conspiracies projected onto the wall in front of you. You've spent your free time plotting out what you know, what you've managed to gather from your father's files and what you've speculated.Staring at the Mark for Oscorp, you look at your notes, connecting it from Hydra, to the Hobgoblin (which leads to Phil Urich), to the project Venom (which leads to your father and Eddie's father, as well as Norman Osborn and his wife) and to the Green Goblin. You stop yourself from linking anything to the Green Goblin name that isn't already there. There's no proof.>1/???
>>38505729Ultimately, Everything at some point leads back to HYDRA. And what information you can grab from the old Captain America museum, which recently had the star costume stolen, and serials, HYDRA seems to be a splinter of the old Nazi army ran by the infamous 'Red Skull.' They were stopped and dismantled by Captain America, but not before the hero sacrificed his life to save the world.Or so the serials go. Turning on the Television, you see that the story is reporting on Tony Stark's refusal to hand over the Iron Man armor or technology to the government and all the nonsense that entails. Partially, you consider the idea that if HYDRA managed to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D. Then considering their interest in powerful weapons, it wouldn't be surprising if this was a plan to get a hold of a new one. You flip through the channels all reporting on the same news, barring a minor report on the still missing Doctor Connors, before turning off the television. You try to focus on something you can do. Or rather, what SHOULD you do?To get any more information, you'd either have to get inside Oscorp and dig deep for any leads, try to find eddie to see if his father left anything behind, or try to deal with SHIELD and find proof or leads to HYDRA...and the Winter Soldier. You set the destroyed universal remote in your hand into the trash. As far as the world is concerned, all you have is conspiracy theories if you were to try to say anything. Focusing on anything other than the one issue that you are NOT dealing with right now, you recall what everyone's been up to. The Fantastic Four have been dealing with- nope, not thinking about it. No. NEVER. Gwen's been apparently been working on something, maybe for the Stark Expo? Flash has been... absent. Entirely absent. >2/3
>>38505747Felicia's set up a new identity and you've managed to have a total of... one ruined date. Mary Jane is not talking about the subject either, but is still talking to you. Harry's continuing to be a tool and possibly something you should investigate. The Ghost Rider's continuing to not be caught and has been putting the fear of god into criminals. There's been a band of 'heroes' that have shown up lately for hire that have been under as much legal problems as Stark. Doctor Spyral's been working on ideas whenever you show up. Venom's still active out there, if now independent of you. DOOM's not been in the area or returning your messages. Oh, and costumed criminals are now popping up, too. Getting creative while they're at it. Oh, and the Green Goblin's been quiet. Too Quiet. You don't have any real leads to go off of and to pursue anything might mean that you might do something that can't be undone.>[ ]Involve yourself in Stark's business, see if there's not any leads to HYDRA (risky, could lead to confrontation with Stark, HYDRA, SHIELD and possible reveal of identity)>[ ]Look into Oscorp more heavily (Risks: HYDRA confrontation, possible conflicts with Oscorp employees or Green Goblin, other factors)>[ ]Try to track down Eddie Brock for possible information on father for further leads (risks: Eddie is smart and a reporter)>[ ]Investigate Harry Osborn more directly (Risks: Worst fears confirmed, Confrontation with Osborn that might lead to HYDRA)>[ ]Work on something to bait possible HYDRA government agents under guise of Stark Expo project. >>38505773>>[ ]Work on something to bait possible HYDRA government agents under guise of Stark Expo project. (Risks: Confrontation with Stark, HYDRA, US Government)
>>38505773>Try to track down Eddie Brock for possible information on father for further leads (risks: Eddie is smart and a reporter)
>>38505773So what's the deal with Sable? Also did we already ask Felicia how Kingpin knows about HYDRA and why she isn't a lot more cautious since they know who she is and probably also know she's Black Cat? Furthermore, what made her ditch her house in general? The whole thing seems really unclear.
>>38505773SPECTACULAR SPECTACULAR SPIDER-THREADand>Try to track down Eddie Brock
>>38505773>[ ]Work on something to bait possible HYDRA government agents under guise of Stark Expo project. (Risks: Confrontation with Stark, HYDRA, US Government)
>>38505773>[ ]Involve yourself in Stark's business, see if there's not any leads to HYDRA (risky, could lead to confrontation with Stark, HYDRA, SHIELD and possible reveal of identity)We can guess that Stark hasn't exactly been keeping the best track of our blood that had a sample of the Suit in it. If we tug on that string, we might get answers.
>>38505773>[ ]Work on something to bait possible HYDRA government agents under guise of Stark Expo project. (Risks: Confrontation with Stark, HYDRA, US Government)If you want to bust something this big out in the open, best do it in an event with maximum media coverage....Actually, maybe there's a chance for Eddie to get into this too as he's a reporter.
>>38505773>bait S.H.I E.L.D.if it's worth doing its worth overdoing!
>>38505773>[ ]Investigate Harry Osborn more directly (Risks: Worst fears confirmed, Confrontation with Osborn that might lead to HYDRA)I feel like he's something that would both be making a difference and is relatively easy, and more importantly WILL get worse the more we leave it alone.
>>38505773Let's try and take down the Green Goblin, maybe brainstorm ways to do that. I don't like the idea of him being able to plan things.
>>38505867She's sitting in her cell. felicia isn't sure how to deal with her and she's too dangerous to let loose. As for Kingpin, he was a member of the organization. He kept tabs on elements in the city that HYDRA wanted an eye on, passed messages, and set up meetings as well as gave them a control over the criminal elements of New York as well as other influential elements. He also kept them abreast of if certain assets should be called in if there was a threat that needed to be dealt with. Fisk also knew about SHIELD and HYDRA's presence there, but not to the details of how much presence they have. While he had circumstantial evidence of the organization's existence enough to make Fisk think he was untouchable, he had nothing on any of the ringleaders, so he was still considered more valuable alive than dead to them. A useful, but ultimately replaceable pawn if needed as they probably have mroe than enough ability to make themselves a new 'Kingpin'That's the theory she has.
>>38505773>[ ]Try to track down Eddie Brock for possible information on father for further leads (risks: Eddie is smart and a reporter)See, on the one hand, I think the version of Eddie in this quest is pretty neat, and I'm kind of sad that we never really developed much of a social link.On the other hand, it seems like we already know pretty much everything about how our parents died and the Suit, the only thing we don't quite know yet is that the Suit was derived from the Symbiote.
>>38506028So this was William Fisk, Wilson Fisk's connections are currently unknown?
>>38506073Correct. Furthermore, Felicia's created a new identity, styled her hair slightly different and does not go near midtown high. As for why she destroyed her own identity, well she was after the killer of her father and perhaps made poor judgements she was willing to admit.
>>38506028Have we told Gwen and the FF about HYDRA yet, or is that currently between us and Felicia? Also have we talked to Ghost Rider since we unrepressed those memories?
>>38506120Eh, considering that HYDRA and Fisk knew Felicia's father better than she did, it seems like it just happened to work out for her. Shame about totally ditching her house though.
>>38505773>[ ]Look into Oscorp more heavily (Risks: HYDRA confrontation, possible conflicts with Oscorp employees or Green Goblin, other factors)I'd like to try and figure out what was even the deal with Hobgoblin, see if that gets us leads on the Green Goblin. Also how much Smythe has pieced together, as well as whatever happened to Miles Warren?
>Stolen Cap UniformHappening intensifies
So guys, odds of Spyral being HYDRA?
>>38505944>>38505906>>38505835I guess I don't really see the logic in doing this. It seems like the least proactive thing we could do, and means a lot of people are going to be paying way more attention to us than we want.
>So, seems like the winning tie is between making a project to bait HYDRA government agents and looking for Eddie. >writing
>>38506213I doubt it. If she were HYDRA. we'd already have the Winter Soldier on our ass since Spyral knows we're Peter Parker.
>>38506261I kind of wish that there wasn't a vote to pretty much decide what the next and possibly final arc would be when the thread is mostly dead.
>>38506197I forget, isn't his shield still stuck in the ice?
We should ask Felicia if there are black market therapists just like there are underworld doctors like Elias Wirtham. Speaking of, has Felicia told him she's alive, or did she think it was too risky. Dude seemed worried about her.
>>38506028So are we doing okay, in terms of priorities,1. family-wise, like May and Ben are happy/healthy can make end meets2. academically3. professionally
>>38505773>The Ghost Rider's continuing to not be caught and has been putting the fear of god into criminalsWe really should ask her to stop by the Baxter Building or just Spyral's lab for some tests. I'm still not sure if the Suit that she used to make her body is still functional and just sated by her magic, or if her infernal flames pretty much fried the Suit's cells so now it's just intert inky ectoplasm.
>>38506366If we're lucky, we could meet Doc Samson. if not, we could get Moonstone. There are no other mental health practicioners in Marvel.
You lean back and consider your options for what you should do. The two ideas that seem to really appeal to your is work on something to bait out HYDRA government agents under the guise of working on something for the Expo. The other idea is to look for Eddie Brock and hope he either has some information of his father's in storage somewhere that might give you a new lead or something. He's a reporter, so there might be something,Those two are your lead options for the moment, bu it doesn't mean you can't do anything else in the meantime. The only problems are finding Eddie and coming up with a project interesting enough to create interest as the expo. Especially since Eddie's phone seems to have been disconnected. All you know is that he worked at the Daily Bugle for J Jonah Jameson.>Current Major project/mission: Deisgn something to bait HYDRA>Current Major investigation: Find Eddie BrockAs it is, you can only think that if you pursue Eddie's information, you'll need to go as yourself and hope his employer will give it to you, sneak in and take it yourself, or find a way to hack into their databases unnoticed.Meanwhile, you'd need something really interesting to get the attention of HYDRA, but if they're after Iron Man, it'd need to be something more interesting than a conventional project or had large potential to be developed into a weapon. >any project Ideas?>[ ]Investigate Eddie Brock as Peter Parker at Daily Bugle>[ ]Sneak into Daily Bugle after hours to find information>[ ]Hack Daily Bugle>[ ]Ask Felicia to grab the information for you as she has the most suited information for this>Main project/Mission and investigation can be changed at points where peter feels he's reached a dead end or has something more important he needs to do/look into.>>385064631. They're doing fine.2.Peter doesn't even need effort to be a star straight A-student at this point3.Peter can use his lab for working or helping Spyral with her work, so not so much
>>38506274Why assassinate us when we can do HYDRA's work unwittingly? The reason I think she isn't HYDRA is because she seemed fairly disgraced when we first met her, and it seems like HYDRA scientists would have more oportunities to do their villainous works. Wouldn't be surprised if her future self wound up working for HYDRA though, and warned her past self off from doing such a thing.
>>38506492That's a possiblity, but for certain reasons Peter's avoided Baxter Building lately.>>38506366>>38506528Its something that could be looked into
>>38506535>any project Ideas? Some sort of energy shield. It's something an evil organization would want, but is also not itself likely to kill millions of people.>>[ ]Investigate Eddie Brock as Peter Parker at Daily Bugle
>>38506535>[ ]Ask Felicia to grab the information for you as she has the most suited information for thisI don't know, is it rude to do this or is it acknowledging her strengths?
>>38506535>Ask Felicia to grab the information for you as she has the most suited information for this
>>38506535I have an idea for a project. We've already designed the railgun, might as well.
>>38506535>The only problems are finding Eddie and coming up with a project interesting enough to create interest as the expo. Especially since Eddie's phone seems to have been disconnected. All you know is that he worked at the Daily Bugle for J Jonah Jameson.Obviously, we should bait Eddie at the same time we bait HYDRA.If we give Jameson a scoop, he'll send Eddie to cover the event.>[X]Ask Felicia to grab the information for you as she has the most suited information for thisShe's better than us at this sort of thing.
>>38506535If we want to bait HYDRA I feel like the easiest thing we could do would be to make a really watered down version of the Suit. Simplified to be mostly harmless, but still recognizable to those who'd know what to look for.
>>38506535>[ ]Ask Felicia to grab the information for you as she has the most suited information for thisBeam RifleRailgunDidn't we have some sort of invention list we had, when we discovered how to make Tony Stark's power source?
>>38506535You know, though this wouldn't really get HYDRA's interest, my original idea of the Stark Expo would be an expansion off our bio-battery invention.Essentially it would be a jumpsuit/tracksuit kind of thing lined with electrodes to stimulate muscle growth, and is powered by exercise. Thorugh the power of comic book pseudo-science, this would allow for a possibly exponential increase in an increase in muscles, or in other words, you could get gains from doing cardio. And the best part is, no one would suspect we already had superhuman physical attributes if we invented such a thing.
>>38506701http://pastebin.com/PCecsN5youtdated, but yes.
>>38506605>>38506701I don't know, I'm PRETTY SURE Tony Stark would object to just blatantly making weapons for his tech expo. You know, because it fundamentally goes against the whole point? You gotta be more subtle than that.
>>38506701Stark won't accept those at the expo. They don't want to go back to the image of being a weapons manufacturer.
>>38506785He let Hammer do it.But then again, he doesn't respect hammer, and he might have some respect for peter's abilities so might not be an option?
>>38506535I have an idea. How about we try and take a close look at what lets us stick to stuff, and try and make an artificial copy of that?
>>38506535>http://pastebin.com/PCecsN5yEnergy shieldBis electric hearing aidsMore efficient tasers durable lightweigh cloth (inspired by spider webbing)
>>38506861Honestly I'm not sure if any of those would really stand out that much.I think being a pretty well adjusted guy means Peter doesn't really have the right mindset with his inventions that would be of interest to HYDRA.
>>38506731HYDRA cannon fodder grunts need some love too. This idea would have some merit on that front at least. It seems like a very watered down version of a super soldier formula to me.
>So, some ideas that are being bandied about are making a powerful weapon of some kind, making a giant robot that can be militarized, a suit that makes you get in shape, and trying to manufacture something that can mimic your clinging ability.>not progressing projects yet until there's a clear majority to an option>writing on the Daily Bugle business.>>38506785>>38506788The thing about the Stark expo is that it is a big convention where inventors come and pool their ideas to get investors, the ideas will not be owned by Stark if they present there.
>>38506911I feel like it needs to be a balance between something HYDRA would be interested in, vs something that won't make the world a worse place in the long run.Making METAL GEAR seems like the latter.
>>38506911We could try spitballing things with Felicia and maybe even Spyral. Don't wanna get cooped up in the lab and never consult anyone about what you're doing. That's how Ultron happens.
>>38506911>a big convention where inventors come and pool their ideasWith the fact that Dr. Connors seem to be missing, I dread the idea of Aldrich Killian teaming up with him and both working on making super regenerating, fire-breathing lizardmen.
>>38506731I like this idea. If the gains were extreme enough, I can see them getting interested. Maybe with an added something that could let you do more strenuous activity longer would help get their attention?
You end up asking Felicia's help for this one. Her expertise is much better than yours at the sneaking in and out undiscovered as you explain why you're trying to find Eddie to her. Flattered, she kisses you on the cheek before smiling cattishly and murmuring in your ear about how it brings back memories.Pressing against you suggestively, she pulls away with a cheshire grin and heads off, assuring you that she'll have something for you within the week. She needs to lay out some surveillance first, after all. With that settled, and thanking the cold for once as you went home, you try to think of something to come up with but can't think of anything that you can make that won't alienate Stark and make him furious with you by creating a weapon and can;t think of anything that would definitely draw HYDRA attention without being easily weaponized or designed as one.Making an Iron Man knockoff would sure to get you blacklisted everywhere for life and there's no way in hell you'd think about using the suit as bait. It's too dangerous.>Current main project: Stalled>[ ]Go see if there's anyone else you could work with to get some ideas for such a project (Gwen, Spyral)>[ ]Switch main project mission for now (to what?)>[ ]project ideas?>[ ]Skip to end of week>>38507072ahahahahahahahahahahha
Guys, let's not do the giant robot thing. We are not Bolivar Trask. We should not start building Sentinels.
>>38507096>>[ ]Go see if there's anyone else you could work with to get some ideas for such a project (Gwen, Spyral)
>>38507096How about we get in contact with Ghost Rider, ask her if she'd be comfortable with us, well, studying her, a bit? If she is, maybe we can derive something?I think we're still avoiding the Baxter Building, but we have our own equipment, especially if we maybe pool our resources with Spyral?
>>38507096>[ ]project ideas?Well, we already made the spider tracers. Maybe we can work that into some kind of, Bio sensor?Or, if we wanted to pull from the movies, we could try to program something based on our spider sense into some kind of threat detection/ danger profiling computer?
>>38507096>[X]Go see if there's anyone else you could work with to get some ideas for such a project>GwenWe should hang with her. Also, it seems Tony likes her. She should be able to cook something up with us.
>>38507201Eh, she's dong her own thing though, and might not want to be caught up in our war againt the secret nazi shadow government.
>>38507096>[ ]Go see if there's anyone else you could work with to get some ideas for such a project (Gwen, Spyral)>[ ]project ideas?Life Model Decoys. A perfect tool to use when one head is cut off, and two more can take its place.Would've gone with clones to facilitate this idea, but considering the last thread and Pete's track record in dealing with clones...
>>38507240How is that something we can build though? Like that doesn't seem within our wheelhouse.
You end up visiting Gwen when she's less busy. As she lets you into her house, you see a note on a post-it board just inside the door that Captain Stacy will be out late tonight. She lets you into her room as you see there's several dry erase boards attached to the walls with scribblings on them- you don't examine them too closely out of respect for what she's working on. You also notice a while sleeve with red and blue webbing- more like a sky blue and maybe a magenta?- patterns on it but it seems like it was quickly kicked under her bed when she noticed your eyeing of it.Looking around her room otherwise, it seems pretty normal. Offwhite walls with a desk and a bed with a few stuffed animals. Gesturing for you to sit at the chair from the desk, she sits across from you on her bed.She looks at you, pauses with a melancholy look and slaps her cheeks with both palms before smiling cheerfully at you. “So, what did you need help with Peter?”>[ ]Tell her your plan and why you need help with ideas>[ ]skirt the issue of the nazi shadow government you are plannnig to bait and explain roughly the idea without putting her in danger by also knowing of HYDRA's extent and reach.>[ ]Ask for help with any ideas, completely avoiding any motives or design plans and their purpose and act like you've just hit a wall and don't have any ideas
>>38507096Problem: I'd kind of like to switch main project mission to something else, but I feel like Felicia would be better suited to any of them. Like we're a scientist/pugilist, not a detective/spy.
>>38507326Skirt the issue for now, but try and focus on if she's doing alright? She was our partner when this all started, and it's kind of sad to think about what's happened since then.
>>38507326>>[ ]Tell her your plan and why you need help with ideas
>>38507326If we tell her, I feel like we shouldn't really be unyielding in the idea that we're going to do this, like be open to being persuaded that it's a bad idea.
>>38507326>>[ ]skirt the issue of the nazi shadow government you are plannnig to bait and explain roughly the idea without putting her in danger by also knowing of HYDRA's extent and reach.
>>38507391>>38507424If we do do this, we need to also decide what kind of tone we're going for. Like how do we want to say it.Becuase otherwise Cosgrove will do that for us.
>>38507391>>38507424These. It will allow her to decide herself if she wants to get involved or not.>>38507462True. We should kind of just tell her roughly what's happening and what could happen as a result. To minimize danger to civilians, we'll need to set up some preparations for when HYDRA crashes the party.
>>38507506I meant more how sure are we that this is the only way, or even a good idea in the first place? And why would we think that this isn't retarded?
>>38507542Because Gwen is one of our most trusted friends, and she owes us the benefit of the doubt?
>>38507568That's not what I'm saying. I'm asking how set are we in this course of action, and why. What do we expect to happen if we do find the right invention to get attention from people, what the fuck is the point of this, really.
>>38507542Oh, you mean to ask her her opinion of the plan. Well, yes. We should do that, but remember we're baiting a Nazi shadow organization here. They're not likely to fuck up, but they won't expect Spider-Man to be there to stop them. They'll prepare a way to shut down Tony's suit before they even think of stealing any of his tech, so we need to be ready for that.
>going with a kind of 'fill gwen in and ask for ideas for what you should be doing more than asking for invention vibe' that I'm getting
>>38507594How? How are we hoping to bait them? Like are we thinking they'll send a top executive down, or someone who isn't disposable? Are you thinking they'll even tell us that they're HYDRA and what that means right off the bat, and won't act through proxies within proxies? I legitimately do not get what we want to do.
>>38507629Sounds good. Didn't she ask us in the past to pretty much run things by her before we did anything stupid on our own? I mean, she didn't do the same for us, but if anything that really just proves the importance of talking to people.
>>38507326>>[ ]Tell her your plan and why you need help with ideas>>38507506How about a material that is bullet proof and yet skin-thick at same time. This way we would get (if designs where stolen) Hydra agents hat are protected from bullets but not from our fists
>>38507632Whoever they send is going to be taken back to the Fantastic Four for top security imprisonment. We don't know how cultish HYDRA is yet, but we'll guess they have a suicide pill like Sable had, so we'll take precaution. All we need is proof that HYDRA has infiltrated the government.>>38507658That'd be nice for our costume too. Fucking Punisher.
>>38507668You're missing the fundamental point of my question. How do you expect to know which person interested in our invention is working for HYDRA? And why do you think that kidnapping one of their agents won't provoke an immediate summons of the Winter Soldier?
>>38507700We think we can defeat the Winter Soldier. We have Precognition, so he won't be able to snipe us.
>>38507729Even so, it's pretty much just forcing a confrontation without any way of preparing for it.
>>38507753That. Is why. We're talking.To Gwen.
>>38507729>>38507729Silver Sable was able to messed with Peter before by using poisons and Green Gobin was able to do same with just gas grenade.>>38507756we really should make more super friends hopefully x-men are not part of hydra
>>38507783Well then maybe we should investigate the Heroes for Hire, since that seems like something we can do as Spider-Man. We don't seem to need the money, but more allies could come in handy.
I think what we need is to figure out what are things only Peter Parker can do, or at least is best at doing, and act along those vectors to accomplish our goals. The problem is that within the quest itself, I feel like we're acceptable but not that impressive at super science, barely passable at combat (I'm not even sure if we've won 50% of the fights we've been in), and have a negligible ability to inspire people.
You look at Gwen and begin to fill her in on your situation. HYDRA. OSCORP. Your parents and a loss of idea of what you should be doing. You tell her your problems and you don't know how long you've been talking, but you found that you can't. You end with your current plan as you shrug helplessly.Gwen closes her eyes in thought and she remains quiet for a while. A good long while. As she lifts her head and looks at you, a tear trickles down her face before she wipes it away. “Its not fair. I...”She swallows and shakes her head. “It isn't fair, but you have to decide what you want to do with your life, but that's why your have people you can trust to help you. I can't tell you what to do and how to do it flawlessly. If I knew how to perfectly do everything, I'd have... Anyway! The point of the matter is that you have two enemies you need to deal with. One of them you might be able to deal with yourself, but the other one's something you can't just hope to defeat yourself, Peter. ...And I don't want you to go on a mad quest for revenge for you parents and I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but I don't think they'd want you to do that either. “Leaning forward, she grabs one of your hands and squeezes it. “Mark Twain once said that 'Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.' I don't want you to pursue revenge to the point you destroy yourself, but I'm not saying you shouldn't try to bring their killers to justice. But you can't do it alone, not when you're dealing with a conspiracy as widespread as you'd suggest.”>1/2

But you can't do it alone, not when you're dealing with a conspiracy as widespread as you'd suggest.”Crap, we should have made it clear that we understood that much already. We did didn't we? Like we weren't planning on taking down HYDRA solo, right?
>>38507884You feel her her thumb rub across your palm idly as she stares you in the eyes. “If you're determined to do things this way, to bait them out and hope for the best, I'll help you. But I don't have an answer of what you need to do to beat them. But if I had a suggestion, I'd talk to the person that supports Tony Stark, Miss Potts, privately. Explain things to her and explain the danger Mister Stark is in and that you're trying to help. That's what I'd suggest, but I won't make you do anything. I won't go behind your back and do it if you're against it. Letting go of your hand, she stands up and picks up a dry erase marker and looks over at you. “I'm in this to the bitter end. So, what's the plan, Peter?”>[ ]Work on the bait idea>[ ]Go with her idea>[ ]Wait until you get Eddie's address and look into what he might know before doing anything else.>[ ]other?

>>38507879>I'm not even sure if we've won 50% of the fights we've been inIm sure we won more than, except we always got help with these fights (Hobgoblin with Gwen, Future Carnage with Venom, Silver Sable and Frank)>>38507910>wow its freaking nothing.jpgThanks Gwen.>[ ]Go with her ideaLike above, we can't win alone so lets get everybody we can on this.>[ ]other? You know what I thought, what if we ask Doom to borrow some of his (super?) spies?
>>38507910>[X]other?Ask her about how she's doing, and if there's anything we can do to help her. Like she's right in that there's no way we can beat HYDRA alone, but that means that everyone with us needs to be strong and united. Also the general lack of reciprocity in our relationship is really disheartening, and even if it's too little too late, I'd like to at least try to recfify that.
>>38507910>>[ ]Go with her idea
>>38507910>>[ ]other?Get connection with anybody who can be useful and go full Avengers Assemble on Hydra ass.
>>38507910>OtherAsk for her assistance in taking down the Green Goblin once and for all. A: Because he would be, in theory, much much easier to defeat than HYDRA, and B: He seems like the kind of guy who's going to be more of a problem the longer he's around, like he has our blood and he's making monster men while building cred in the criminal underworld. I don't like the idea of him learning new tricks.
>>38507964That reminds me, what's the deal with Agent Frank? Is he still living in our neighborhood?Did he see the clone?
>>38507964>You know what I thought, what if we ask Doom to borrow some of his (super?) spies? He's not responding to our attempts to reach him.
>>38507910Damnit, I feel like we should actually have some dialogue here, but I'm way too tired to think of any good write-ins. Like one thing I'd like to say is something like "Despite what everyone seems to think, I really have no intention of becoming a martyr, but the fact remains... they can't get -away- with this." But no idea how to work that into a larger conversation.
>>38507910>[ ]Go with her ideaSeems legit. Pepper did give us the go signal for the bio-battery, so if the matter concerns Stark's life and safety she'd be receptive of it.Regarding Eddie though, I think having him onboard as part of the Stark Expo media coverage team would be the best Peter can do without tipping him off early and make him go digging deeper on HYDRA before the event launches. We're pretty much just gathering everyone with a grudge against HYDRA and having each play a part in this, aren't we?
>>38507910So wait, do we tell her as Peter Parker or as Spider-Man and what exactly do we tell her? That the remnants of a Nazi splinter group want Tony's stuff? Because I'm pretty sure everyone wants Tony's stuff. Like what specifically would we be warning her and Stark about?
>>38507910>[ ]Go with her idea"The plan, for the moment, is to listen to some awesome and sound advice."
>>38508111Play a part in what though? We still have no actual plan to do what must be done, which is drag HYDRA kicking and screaming into the light of day without any SHIELDS to hide behind or holes to slither into, so that it doesn't matter how many heads it grows because the whole organization has been uprooted. That's beyond our abilities for the forseeable future.Remember when we thought Osborn killed our parents and we promised Felicia/Gwen we'd be willing to work for years to bring him down? If anything, HYDRA will take more time than that.
>>38508097How about "Gwen I know that in past months you been kicked shooted at and almost bleed out because of...well all this crazy going on around. What Im asking for is pretty much opposite of any teenager conform zone BUT we can't let these people...these monsters do whatever they pleased, I may be a traumatised orphan that is filled with rage but now I know I not the only one and I know the people who did this to me /and/ I know these kind of people will never stop unless someone special like you and me stand in they way. So Im asking you not only to help me all these that where or will be putt on the line because some nazi jackass want to play a big brother with the entire world"
>>38508180...Not what I was going for.
>>38508195Sorry, Im too tired to make something more creative.
>>38508142Eh, I feel like it's better than our old plan, but not by much. But then again, I also feel like starting out with HYDRA doesn't seem like a good idea, I'd rather get everything we can feasibly take care of get done first, becuase every loose end we tie up is one less tentacle for HYDRA to muster.
“I think I should give your idea a shot. I think working on some ideas as bait is still a good idea, but we do need allies and it might work better than dealing with Tony Stark himself. Well, I mean he probably wouldn't listen without help.”Looking at your phone, you see that its getting late- the sun's already long set, but it is getting decently late. Gwen shows you towards the door. As you head out the door, you hear Gwen call your name. Turning back, she leans forward and gives you a chaste kiss. Pulling back from you, she pulls off her glasses.“I should have done that years ago, but I was too afraid of everything changing. You've every right to be upset with me, but I'm tired of running away from what I want to say. I've liked you since we were children, I don't like your girlfriend, and if I didn't do this, I would never be able to try to move on.”Retreating into her house, she eaves good night as you stare at her closed door. Unsure how to respond, you shove your hands into your pockets and march on home, a number of uncertain feelings swirling in your gut with equal parts guilt and wistfulness and regret as you walk away into the dark. Heading home, you step into the house to see your Aunt and Uncle sitting on the couch. You see you Aunt almost jump up as she approaches you. “Peter! You won't believe it!”Scratching the back of his neck, you uncle looks chagrined. “It's not that big of a deal and its still a ways off anyway, May.”Shelving your thoughts you focus on what's making your Aunt and Uncle so happy. “What's up Uncle Ben?”He raises up a piece of paper. “I was approved to have a good retirement package and my date for retirement's been set for May, isn't that great?”Pulled in by your Aunt, the three of you spend the evening together, enjoying the time with your family.>Peter Parker Quest Issue #69 End>Interlude coming shortly.
>>38508251...I see... It seems that Gwen Stacy and Ben Parker have entered into a Death-Flag-off.
>>38508223That's true. Oscorp seems to be easier to handle, but we can't let HYDRA proceed unchecked. If we can throw a wrench in their plans, even for a little bit, it could give us some breathing room.>>38508251Being Gwen Stacy is suffering.
>>38508277I'm kind of worried that she might be mildly suicidal. I'd get an intervention for her but she has no friends.
>>38508298Fucking hell, I wish we could just have them both.
>she leans forward and gives you a chaste kissDarn it Gwen, this is how a bad kind of catfights starts, you don't have time for antagonizing yourself in eyes of Felicia.>>38508298We should get her and MJ to hangout more, maybe they would bond friendship with theirs hobby of having a lady-boner towards Peter.
>>38508312Peter can't handle that, anon.Besides, then MJ and Zarathos would demand to be included.
>>38508312I wanted to investigate when Gwen was avoiding us, from passing notes to showing up at her house. But people wouldn't go for it, and Gwen wouldn't reach out on her own.
>>38508334... who said they couldn't be?>>38508332You think MJ and Gwen will connect?
“Look, everything worked out fine, Janet. The invention worked!”She stares at him as he smiles at her with a thumbs up. “We were the size of ants for weeks, Hank. Weeks. I have not properly bathed or... ANYTHING for weeks because of that glitch. We were hounded by countless insects trying to KILL US! ...or worse...”He nods as he writes out something on a piece of paper. “Yeah, but now we know the helmet works and so do the suits and all the, heh, bugs got worked out. Think of how much we've come to understand about the universe at this very moment, Janet! The world is our toybox and we've figured out how to play with the legos!”He pauses and looks at the outfits- one in red with a helmet that resembles an Ant's head, the other gold slightly reminiscent of a wasp. “...Besides, it was cool, wasn't it?”A sigh.“Yeah, it was pretty cool.”
>>38508332Eh, I kind of doubt anyone but us wants to hang with MJ. And even with us it's kind of blah. Especially since we've apparently been avoiding her with the whole clone thing.
>>38508369Something nice happening? Yay! Wonder how he's going to convince Janet to augment herself with wings and bio-blasts.
>>38508251>retirementuhhh, am I only one that see this mighty be a foreshadowing for May and Ben being able to finding Peter's equipment by accident due to having more time on hanging out inside the house
>>38508369I wish we could have at least said... SOMETHING to Gwen after she kissed us. Something that could make her feel better. You're probably sleepy thoug, Cos. I can understand that. Thanks for running!
>>38508369Anyway, have to call it a night here. Hope you all had fun and I'll see you all next time.
>>38508399What I really want is for her to stop pining over us so goddamn much and remember that she's at minimum our equal phsyically as well as mentally and morally, and she can achieve happiness outside herself. Like sacrificng herself becuase she failed to become our love interest isn't sad, it's kind of embarassing.
>>38508359>You think MJ and Gwen will connect?Well, both of them have some geeky/tomboy qualities, Gwen dress up in baggy and unattractive clothes because she wants to stay in background and MJ just doesn't really give a damn . Also I think Gwen would enjoy to just talk to someone and maybe even enjoy a few coop games.
>>38508453Unfortunately we have no grounds to say that to her, and the only one who could might be her dad.
>>38508458Right, that sure worked out well when we tried to hook her up with Harry. Oh wait.>>38508453I think she just isn't as accepting of all this as Peter is. She obviously loves us and worries about us, and trying to think of us as a friend didn't help at all. Now that she's being honest with herself, we can at least make some progress and get her back on a stable emotional level.
>>38508484I hope so. I just fine it kind of annoying how much she revolves around us. Like there has to be some middle ground between only helping us with our problems and completely avoiding us to try and deal with their problems and failing more often than not.
>>38508422Go away Marvel Editorial, no one likes you.>>38508453I want to agree with you but at same time it would meant that we may throw away one of our closes friend and allies. If anything it would be nice to work on her from "there is also bright side in life" angle to get her out of this depressive stage (set up a meeting with Susan Storm? and Im sure Jonny would love to have a second sparing partner).>>38508484>Right, that sure worked out well when we tried to hook her up with Harry. Oh wait.Harry was a huge cunt and was already hating on Peter. Hell, pretty sure the only reason why he was friend with Peter in first place so he could just look at his sad life and think "heh, at least Im not this looser". Also we don't need to be sneaky about it just need to say "This isn't ideal situation but both of you could use a gal-pal"
>>38508579Uh... we're the main character. Of course everything revolves around us.>>38508584We could always just try to convince MJ to hang with Gwen. She looks up to us when you get right down to it, so she'll try her best... even though her best isn't all that good.
>>38508584you could say his wife is a dead horse
Guys, regardless of what project we proceed with, what do you think of storing the schematics of it on a hard drive and planting a bug in it?If the HYDRA operative that takes an interest in our project plugs it on their mainframe (hopefully), it'll then start combing for data and expose their secrets to the world. That's pretty much the rough outline of how we can connect the bait project to exposing HYDRA. I'm game if there are any better ideas.
>>38508838I don't know, I feel like the only reason they got found out in Winter Soldier is because they were inches from victory and got a little sloppy. If they've been in hiding for sixty years, they're probably not going to make any amateur mistakes.
