But Tianna is actually an artificial island, built around a First Age Titan: an almighty flying fortress built in an ancient, forgotten age, and although this is kept secret, two Deathlords are seeking to obtain it.
The Tyrant of the Doomsday Machine, ghost of your past incarnation, seeked it as a weapon to cut her ties to the Neverborn. But you have persuaded her to try and seek redemption in the eyes of the Sun in other ways, and count her as an unlikely ally.
But now the Silver Prince is coming, to punish her and claim the Titan for himself in the name of Oblivion. And this looks like a battle you won't be able to talk your way out of...

Well, if you use its parts to build other stuff... No.
You can dismantle it and keep the parts, but then... Why are you dismantling it if you're not using the parts?

If you mean that you want to dismantle it and reassemble it somewhere else: technically possible, but you'd need to do it with the reactor too. It needs its power source. It would also take longer than you have, because it's stupidly huge. You'd have to get access to the entire shaft, and half of it has the access corridors buried under thousands of tons of sand and soil.

Yeah, but I'm assuming that you ARE going to dismantle those because there's no real downside to doing that. It's not a choice if you have to choose between "a good thing with no real downsides" and "nothing", right?

It means you can't ever scrape the island off the Titan and just have the flying fortress and restore it to full functionality, demolishing the cities of Tianna and Pearl in the process (and supposedly evacuating the population to live inside the Titan as a flying city-fortress. Or leave them to die as they fall in the ocean if you want to go full insane first-age god-king, which is always an option.)

Not sure if we need a WMD (especially one which is only usable if you take our base of operations directly over the target), so possibly consider dismantling the Light of Judgement array to make more practical weapons.

Keep everything else intact, perhaps unearth areas when we have manpower to spare.

Also consider effecting repairs to areas that might restore Dancing Smoke's memory? With her knowledge of the titain's layout, we might be able to repair it more quickly or selectively excavate rooms full of useful stuff.

First, i don't want to kill DS, i merely accept the possible diminishing of DS from the god of a titan to a god of an island to be an unfortunate consequence of decommissioning the titan. I am reasonably sure the position of god of an island with a N/A Solar Manse on it is reasonable compensation.

Second, not trolling.

The titans were built to kill Primordials whom are world unto themselves. They were commissioned by a Solar deliberative which fully controlled a creation ten times larger and ten time more populated than now. They were built to defend an entire direction of that, long gone creation.

And they were complete overkill and mostly a dick waving measure even back then. Now, it's a relic of an age that will never come again. Arming, staffing, maintaining and operating it is an expense that we CANNOT afford. Nor is it necessary in the modern creation.

We don't need it and it's a danger more than it is an asset.

Well, that might be possible, but even if you do that Pearl's manse would stop functioning if you move it.
Spoiler: it's pretty obvious that Tianna's "Demesnes" are actually fluctuation in the Titan's power system that you can tap in. This is probably why it was so easy to plan a Solar Manse 5 on top of a Water Demesne 3.

It's that digging the lower part of the titan is much, much more manpower (or in this case demonpower) intensive than all the other jobs. It's the only one where available manpower becomes an issue, because it's a brute-force, work, rather than one that can accomplished by comparatively few well-directed demons (where the main issue is not manpower but the ability to direct it efficiently).

And yeah, the limit on demonpower is Amata's Essence. There's no hard cap on the number of demons she can control, but she can only summon so many per hour.

However the general consensus is to keep the Titan mostly intact, so you'll have manpower (demonpower) to spare.

"Let's not burn any bridges?" She suggests.

"The Light of Judgement worries me." You note. "If we disassembled it... I think that Tyrant would feel betrayed. She still considers it a backup plan."

"...so you don't trust her completely." She giggles.

"Trust goes both ways. I didn't persuade her to completely give up her plan... Just to try other things first. She'd take it badly."

"She might never find out that we dismantled it."

Amata shrugs her head, eyes locked onto the ceiling. "Not quickly or easily. It's a complex machine, full of small parts. Even if we don't melt down anything for materials, and keep every part we use intact, it's still going to be a massive work. Keeping track of everything would slow us a lot. Imagine, tagging each piece, writing down where it goes, in a machine a few kilometers tall. Some pieces are as small as the head of a needle."

Sounds like a nightmare. "...and what about Dancing Smoke? Could we heal her memory if we fixed the reactor?"

"Probably. Do we want to?"

You turn around, on your side, to face her. "What do you mean?"

"Will she like having her memory back? Will she like having her once-glorious body buried under earth and water? Being, essentially, a cripple? Not particularly. It doesn't change much. one day of training done before the Kiss is equivalent to one day of training done after. The only difference is that, after, it takes longer to reach the maximum.

Also, if anyone wonders, there's a Twilight 3 charm that works like Tiger Warrior for non-combat stuff. With both charms + Kiss of the Sun, you can train people up to 4 in all stats and skills.

But, keep also in mind that you can't train someone to have stats higher than your own. So even if you Kiss someone, and his maximum goes up to 4, you can't give him Dawn 4 if your Dawn is only 3.

Despite the groan, she doesn't sound too upset by the idea. Not at all, actually. She goes and fetch a tailor's tape measure and returns gingerly.
