>Summary:
You are Heracor Nahive, techpriest working as an escort for the mighty Commissar Oihan Alzador and currently in the Death World of Plinia Vesus to mitigate the riots and disturbs that the thousands of prisoners destined there are creating and secretly to avoid the uprising of an ancient and incredibly powerful Khorne Bloodthirster.

Inside the small pilot cockpit a man bolted to its seat and with its eyes directly connected to the cameras in the front drived the mighty vehicle, behind him and equally fused to the machine two servitors whose bodies have been switched with data servers gathered several kinds of information from the exterior.

“Reaching maximum speed of 150 miles per hour. Expecting to reach the HQ in ETA minus two hours. Three of four power generators channelled to the engines. Exterior temperature of 115 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels of 5 percent.”

Was what he reported us. Even he, a man strapped to the seat and almost completely bionic had a hint of fear and stress on its voice.

Besides him there were the two commissars and their escorts in the engine room. Nicholo continued as stoic as before under his gasmask, Oihan seemed to be pumped and ready to fight anything that crossed her path. Fire in the Skin once again lost his childish spirit and became a serious doctor, his face looking somewhat grimm as he readied his medical tools. Kontarus connected himself with the main cogitator and spoke electronically to the pilot, helping as best as he could with his duty.

“Heracor let’s go to the first car and give a good speech, those soldiers need a moral boost. You will also try to repair anything that breaks understood?”

With a nod you walked behind her and entered in the crowded car train. Several guardsmen were sticking their lasguns out of the windows, unsure of what they would find. The rest were standing, already severely tired but unable to sit down and rest from the lack of space. A scent of blood, sweat and urine filled our nostrils but in that moment nobody felt like punishing the weak bowelled guardsmen. Before she started to speak you connected with the speaker system and activated your vox-caster to retransmit what she was going to say to all the cars.

“Micerian Guardsmen! I commissar Oihan Alzador will lead you all to victory. You all are survivors and will fight the enemies of the Imperium today! Survive and the glory of battle will accompany you in the rest of your lives and even after death as being a loyal guardsman who battles for the God Emperor gets a place along him on the afterlife.”

They all turned to her, even the ones who were aiming outside. A small sobbing was heard in the backside followed by a face breaking punch and then just silence.

“The enemy is weak! Our potent lasguns can pierce their feeble bodies and kill several with a single well aimed shoot. We are now heading to the main HeadQuarters were the rest of the platoons will join us and with all our strength we will push the enemy back to the lava pits were they deserve to be!”

A loud cheer filled the train and after it was done a combustion engine with a loud and exploding exhaust roared. On the sides various ramshackle APCs and transports appeared from caves and valleys. It seemed that the Magos Heretek’s speciality was genetics and biology but that he also had some construction knowledge, thus explaining those vehicles and weapons those clones and prisoners had access to.

The first vehicle attacked from the left and seemed to be a transport unit made from the chassis of a Chimera, it had its roof completely ripped out and carried with it several chains that carried the dead bodies of other clones and guardsmen behind.

On the other side several bikes followed the train; the leader was completely covered in thick scrap armor and carried a long pole that ended in what seemed a meltacharge. If he managed to attack the vehicle with his lance he and most of the guardsmen in there would die in an instant. The other bikers carried melee weapons and chains; they were trying to board the car.
>>
>>38628104
Without hesitating the soldiers started to shoot at them but due to several factors this was an almost impossible task. They were tired, the vibration of the train was increasing and the enemies were highly mobile. Very few laser blasts managed to reach the heretical vehicles but the ones who did greatly damaged the integrity of the weakly constructed machines.

The Heavy Bolter manage to pierce and destroy most of the crew of the Chimera due to its lack of roof and the guardsmen managed to focus the optics of their lasers in a single beam turning it into a pile of metallic slag that continued to advance while burning for a few feet before weakly moving away and exploding in the distance.
Two bikers moved in advance, one carried a long machete and the other a grappling hook.

The machete carrying female biker managed to cut the arms of a guardsman that screamed in pain and shortly after fell down from the shook, only to die shortly after from the blood loss. Its place was quickly taken by another guardsman but they didn't throw him out, there wasn't time to do that now.

With a loud joyful and deranged scream the grappling hook carrying man managed to attach himself to the roof and after jumping from his bike proceeded to climb. The soldier who was closest to him tried to grab and pull him down but to his surprise the biker managed to grip him with his legs and throw him out of the window. The guardsman managed to grab the biker too and the two were now hanging from the side of the speeding train. The machete carrying biker accelerated with her weapon raised and ready to cleave but Oihan intervened before.

Peering out of one of the windows she shoots the hook’s cable, sending both men to their deaths. The guardsman was the first one to die under the wheels of the train, the biker wasn’t so lucky; he was run over by the rest of his gang and he seemed to survived the impact; left to die slowly with all the bones broken under the baking sun.

Sorry if I misunderstand, but the vehicle car is designed in such a way as to allow the Russ a full range of movement, right?

As in, we could fire on the enemy vehicles without impediment?

Have a shitty quick drawing as a reference.

The tank can move its turret 360º and shoot but it cannot move as it is chained. To do so tho there should be at least a gunner.

Oihan or a Proxy servoskull could do the work.

How about ending the descriptions with a tactitcal post ? With a nice map, like you did during the megaprison battle. Decision making never required any prose.

In my opinion we shouldn't
>Use your proxy drone tool to create a servoskull from the dead guardsman and try to use it with the enemy vehicles
Just yet, and save it for a really desperate moment.

Maybe we can make the drone, but not attach it to the tank yet? just have it sit in a safe place.
>>
>>38628558
Why shouldn't he ? If I read the intro rights, the enemy has no ranged weapons, relies on suicide bombings and boarding hooks, and he's are more efficient at close combat than the average Guardsman. There's no point in hiding, let's snipe and cleave all that appear.

Ok, here is pretty much the current location. I'll upload it as the train advances more.

Enemies:
Right side of the Train
>Looted Chimera:
-Weak armor
-High Speed
-8 persons inside with boarding tools and crude weapons
-Vehicle has no weapons

Left side of the Train
>Bike squad
-No armor
-Very high speed
-Swords and grappling hooks, the leader has a spear with a meltabomb on its end
-Six persons in total ( 1 already deceased )
-Bikes have no weapons.
>>
>>38628657
I meant update instead of upload.

>>38628558
The servoskulls can wait indefinitely. If destroyed they will explode thought.
>>
>>38628626
Well, I was against using the drone tool just yet because it only lasts 5 minutes and it might take too much time to get another one if we get overwhelmed.

But I did vote for going on the roof.
>>
>>38628626
now that I look at it, my post kinda looks like I'm against getting on the roof, I'm not, I was saying we should delay taking control of the tank.
>>
>>38628682
>If destroyed they will explode though.
Yeah I wouldn't want to keep one on me.

>Craft a servoskull
>Get on the roof
>Snipe the bike leader down
>Send the skull on the looted chimera and try to crash it.

Can the first 2 actions be done before the bike leader reaches the train ?
>>
>>38628136
>Use your proxy drone tool to create a servoskull from the dead guardsman
>Use your mag boots to get on the roof and aid from above.

With the Chimera destroyed you decided to start the offensive and don't slack anymore.

Slowly you manage to drag the man away to an unoccupied space to work with a little bit more comfort, using your chainsword you crudely decapitate the man and then remove its helmet, then the proxy tool accepts the sample and unlocks its tools.

Its fingers become little knives and hooks and as they cut skin and muscle they pull it, leaving only white bone behind. From the palm of your cybernetic hand a hole opens and starts to suction, it removes the eyes, the tongue and after opening its cranium also takes away part of his brain.

Using the metal of the deceased person lasgun you manage to turn the skull into something truly admirable. On its base lies what once was the weapon's las focus, the several mechanism became spider like legs and the rest were transformed into and explosive device.

The skull was now blind, deaf and it's machine spirit became severely dumber and more primitive. It had now only one task, magnetically grab into any vehicle, use the miniature laser to pierce the hull and connect with the other spirit machine as a parasite.
>>
>>38629042
With it on your possession you stored it safely and proceeded to climb upwards towards the roof.

Once on it the high speed sends your hood down revealing your cybernetics and inhuman features. The Heavy Bolter tries to focus on the bikes but the small vehicles manage to avoid the explosive bolts with serpentine movements.

Getting on your knees you mag-lock yourself on the metallic roof, the wind hits hard against you but now you are as strong and fixed as a rock. Your target locks all the vehicles but you mainly focus on the leader. If he managed to pierce the train and explode the meltabomb it would destroy the entire left part of the car and kill most of the guardsmen inside.

He's on your lock, now all you have to do is pull the trigger.

Roll a 1d100. On 65 or more we headshot that fucker.

>>38628848

Those clones were more advanced that their pink proto counterparts, they had fully formed human bodies and intelligence enough to use weapons, vehicles and armor but deep in their minds they were still savage animals that didn't had common sense.

Any body with a minimum of self preservation would have tried to run away but that biker just laughed at Heracor when it saw him aiming its lasgun at its head.

In less than a second two red beams turned its head into a vaporized hole that emanated smoke and boiling blood. His spear fell down exploding hard and killing two of its minions, the stalling bike slowly aimed towards the train and both the mechanic horse and the headless corpse became trapped under the wheels creating a cascade of sparks and blood that sprayed over the surviving bikers and sent them into a frenzy. This didn't lasted long as the speed and great tonnage of the train soon crushed the crashed bike and the pilot into little more than scrap metal and burnt meat chunks.

>Go inside and let the guards finish the other three bikers. Deliberate with the other Skitarii and the Commissars how did they managed to get the vehicles.
>Analyze the remaining bikes with your lenses to discover any weak point and try to kill the other bikers yourself.

>>

We know how they managed to get vehicles, or we can have a pretty good guess: a Chaos heretek built them.
>>
>>38629287
>use the drone to study the others
Can you explain this please?
>>
>>38629401
While we're busy shooting at a bike, have the proxy study the other bike
>>
>>38629411
The drone can only control human vehicles and only if there isn't a pilot already controlling it. In xenos or chaos vehicles it can only stick and explode.

In both cases the drone cannot study the vehicle, that's why I was confused.
>>
>>38629411
I doubt it's able to do that.

>Analyze the remaining bikes with your lenses to discover any weak point and try to kill the other bikers yourself.

The X-ray lenses barely manages to scrap some thick parts of their surface but the components are simple. The bikes are sturdy and almost primitive combustion engine vehicles. Components like smoke level filters and noise dampeners are nonexistant, other more essential parts like a gear box are lacking. It can only accelerate and slow. If it weren't being driven by those men I would bet they were manufactured by some ogryn or even an ork.

Those bikes are so simple that they have no truly weak points besides the most usual ones like wheels and engine.

On your pal rested the servoskull that you recently created. That small piece of engineering was way more advanced than those two poor bikes. Tensing your human arm and you launched the skull at the most close one.

In the air the drone opened its spidery arms and stick into one of the pilots face. A small red light formed between the two and an instant later the driver was stunned and bleeding profusely from the laser blast that impacted the inner parts of its mouth. Then it jumped and stuck in the engine activating the laser once again and infecting the bike.

In your HUD some new indications appeared, the controls to accelerate or decelerate and steer the bike. On one corner there was a big red circle labeled ++END CONNECTION++

Somewhat clumsily you managed to slow the bike and steer it towards the other biker, the two crashed and then soon you mentally clicked the red circle...the two exploded and the following cheer that came from the interior became even louder than the own explosion.

You fell on your knees and relaxed, focusing more on the pleasant sensation of the hot wind against your hair and how beautiful the moving landscape was. On one side the massive Tartarus volcano, on the other an orange sea of lava.

It wasn't until the pilot started pressing the deep horn of its cabin that you saw that it wasn't over yet. Looking at the horizon you saw a group of naked men in front of the rails, you had to use your zoom to focus better on them and notice their details. They were surrounded by dead bodies and used their blood to draw strange symbols on their skin. As the train approached more and more their inhuman chant became more audible. The entire group opened its arms and stood in front of the train, some standing up, others lying on the rails but all of them in the train's path.

In the blink of and eye the massive engine crushed them all painting the silver looking vehicle with a coat of blood red.

When it was over you looked on the back side of the train to see the gory result of such pointless suicide and then you saw it...from the pile of dead bodies a daemon appeared. The first true daemon that Heracor saw, the others were humans that became imbued with the chaotic powers but in this occasion the enemy was a purely empyrean creature.

It ran behind the train and managed to crawl on the last train, the frightened plasma turret shooting aimlessly towards the red daemon and missing most shoots.

>Tell Konterus, Nicholo, Oihan and Fire in the skin to jump to fight the daemon.

>>38629789
Can we calm the machine spirit of the plasma turret? That can do some major damage if it connects
>>
>>38629789
I recall the last car was ammo. Enough for 100 guardsman or vehicle ammo. disengaging means we'll have enough ammo for our 100 guardsman but we'll be short for vehicles, maybe.
I'd otherwise vote to disengage and detonate the ammo pile underneath him, but in this case I'll choose

With a jump you descend towards the pilots cabin and hurriedly explain all the situation, your mechanic voice becoming mixed with the whimpering of the distressed driver for having killed so many people.

"Don't feel bad for them! Those were heretics and were doing a sacrifice!"

Both Commissars tensed, they knew how dangerous were those kind of rituals.

"There is now a Daemon on the last car!"

As your pronounced those words the sound of broken metal arose from the rear, the daemon was either attacking the turret or breaching into the interior.

Hurriedly everybody ascended and looked at the terrible sight. The turret gunner lied dead and its head missing from its body.

"For fuck sake not a Bloodletter!" Said Nicholo, it might be the first time I heard him talk at all.

The daemon classified as a Bloodletter was not using its blade to slash the roof and stab it at random. From time to time he managed to hit a poor soul that wasn't quick enough to avoid its blade, he also sometimes tried sticking its arm from the holes he created in the search of heads to rip and skulls to offer, this happened pretty few times as obviously every time this happened a barrage of laser fire was ready to hit him. Sadly when the guardsmen fired at its poking arm the missed shoots also pierced the other sides of the train car, damaging it further.

We all raised our weapons and aimed at him. Nicholo wielded a chainsword and a plasma pistol. Oihan carried her usual bolt pistol, Fire in the skin used an standard yet heavily decorated lasgun. I carried with me my chainsword and my special twin linked lasgun.

>Return inside and try to reach the last car, make as many proxies as you can with the deceased guardsmen and try to control the plasma turret with them.

Once again inside the guardsmen ask you about what's going on, you give the questioner a glare that would remove any kind of doubt of his mind. Before leaving you can hear another one whispering to him "You were lucky, I have seen people being executed for less..."

Crossing across the second car is harder as it is nothing but a floor and the tank. Luckily for you the mag boots help and after a little bit of struggle you manage to walk over it.

The two armored cars are easy to cross yet you were slowed, not because of debris or obstacles but to appreciate the many weapon ammunition stored inside, shells the size of your arm and explosives that you didn't believed they existed. After slapping yourself and focusing on your task you crossed both and walked into the Drill car.

In front of you there was the same drill that sent you to the heart of the planet and back. You were really catching affection towards that beautiful piece of machinery. In case you survived to this you hoped to be able to keep it for yourself. That drill was just another reason to stay alive and fight.

Reaching the last car downed your spirit. Of the fifty soldiers that were once alive barely twenty remained alive. They were all sticking to the wall, trying to stay as away from the ceiling as possible. The morning sun was filtering from the slash holes and the shadow of the daemon moving to pierce again was noticeable. On the floor there were dozens of bodes, most were slashed but some others had laser wounds a few of them were lacking their skulls.

From time to time the arm descended again, it was long and thick, totally muscular and covered in bony protuberances. It's clawed hand desperately searching for more heads to take.

In those times the guardsmen tried to shoot at the hand but doing so made them risk shoot themselves.

Without loosing any time you order those guardsmen of what's your plan and to drag their nearest non decapitated bodies towards him.

Focusing as best as you can you ignore the daemon who is barely a ten feet away from you and proceed to work. Like the others you clean their heads of any trace of meat or sinew and use their lasguns to create crude yet effective drones ( I call them drones instead of servoskulls because they cannot always hover like the true servoskulls )

After half an hour of work you have managed to create eighteen drones, in a desperate attempt to make them last longer you place their helmets back in their heads, making them be also more heavy.

"Heracor here! I have created eighteen drones that can control the turret. I need someone who can get on top of the drill and throw the drones to the turret!"

"I'll do it. I hate those fucking red fuckers." Said Nicholo.

After a few minutes were they traveled from one car to another. They weren't as caring as I was for the vehicles or the ammo and that's why they just jumped to the tank, skipped the two ammo cars by crossing the roof and walked over the drill.

"Fire in the Skin, you have always been a good medic, but now it's time for you to live up to your name, I gift you my plasma gun so you can apply its Fire on its Skin!"

This said Oihan and Fire proceeded to shoot their potent weapons towards the daemon who now became aware of them and even angrier. At the same time I grabbed the first drone and passed it towards Nicholo. He missed as he didn't calculated the train's own speed and it went way too far away. The next one managed to attach but the infatuation of the Bloodletter with skulls made it grab it instead and crush it as a offering for its god.

"Guardsmen, at my order shoot at the ceiling!!" Yelled the male commissar.

Once again I passed him the next skull, fifteen remaining.

"NOW!! SHOOT!!"

As the skull drone flew over the turret various lasers pierced the roof and hit the daemon. They weren't strong enough to truly damage him but they sure stunned him. Oihan's bolts and Fire's plasma balls hit the stunned Bloodletter and pierced its skin, finally managing to hurt it.

Luckily for me Nicholo managed to stick the skull in the turret, it searched the cogitator and then invaded it.

Soon on my HUD the controls appeared, I switched my eyes with the turret's own pict-camera and moved around a little bit until I saw it. The daemon stood in front of me swinging its blade aimlessly and trying to advance towards the two main attackers.

With an unnatural yell it rushed towards them, my adrenaline levels spiked as I saw the Daemon run towards my two friends. Charging the plasma cannon and shooting the back of the enemy.

The massive ball of blue plasma hit him by surprise and threw him down against the floor for some seconds. On its warped flesh a charred wound appeared, it's interior wasn't like anything you expected to find, not even in xenos creatures. Its guts weren't totally formed and were a varying mess that was hurting to look at.

It turned around and jumped, its sword became engulfed in fire, he was trying to destroy not only the turret but the entire car completely. I proceeded to shoot again but the weapon wasn't still totally cooled down and by the time he stabbed the turret the cannon was only charging again.

The damage of the sword against the cogitator created a chain event. The death of the machine spirit overcharged the drone's machine spirit, making it explode, the damage of the explosion destabilized the plasma cannon's and created an even bigger explosion.

I barely had time to jump to the drill's car and use the chainsword with Nicholo to cut the coupling. With a jump Oihan moved us away and using her power fist punched the car, stopping it on its tracks and making it stop following us by pure inertia.

A few seconds later we saw in the distance how the turret's explosion triggered also the remaining skull's explosives. Creating a big and fiery mushroom cloud as all the explosions fused into a big one and decimated everything on it, be it human or daemon.

Being all way too tired to do the way back we decided to enter the drill and let Fire treat us inside. We weren't damaged just exhausted. He gave us some thick and dark drink that made us feel fresher and had a mint flavor. It wasn't a panacea but would help us recover faster while we sat and rested on the vehicle's seats.

Not even ten minutes passed when the sound of turbines deafened us. We went out and saw a Thunderbolt heavy fighter flying above us.

Fire in the Skin waved the airship innocently but the rest of us continued tense and alert. The Heretek who did the vehicles was not skilled enough to create such a vehicle but after those situations you learn to not trust anything.

We were right, it descended and started shooting at us with its twin linked autocannons.

Wave three guys! You can do it!

"Heracor to Konterus. Where are you?!"

The skitarius didn't followed you back when you told about the daemon, unless he had a good reason to do so he will be undoubtedly judged for heresy.

"Konterus here." Answered him. His voice sounded different, way more mechanical. "The driver fell into a shock when he discovered that due to his driving he inadvertently helped with the invocation of a daemon. Thought we were all doomed and tried to accelerate the train to unsafe speeds to crash it once we reached the HQ and try to kill as many heretics as possible. I had to take him down and get in its seat. I am one with the train now."

You mumbled a curse but deeply knew that what he did was the best option for all of us. Oihan was also trying to contact someone, in her case she was trying to contact the pilot.

"Commissar Oihan speaking with Thunderbolt pilot! We are not heretics cease fire or be declared Traitoris!"

"Ohhh but little pointyhat...how could you execute me when I am up there and you are down there. Besides, declaring me a Traitor would be pointless...I am already one."

The plane ascended again and flew low shooting at us, if he continued like that for long the armor of the ammo cars would fail and risk all of us.

"This meatsack is a good body, full of blood used to great gravity forces, I could fly as fast as I wanted..."

"The pilot is possessed" Nicholo intervened. "Death is the only cure for that poor tortured soul."

"The train driver lost his mind and had to be executed, Konterus cannot help us in the fight." You added.

"He did well if the driver continued developing its madness he could have ended possessed sooner or later too." Comforted the masked Commissar trying to uplift our morale.

"Oihan to the guardsmen of the first train car, we need to take that plane down! Someone get on the turret and fill that Thunderbolt of lead!" Yelled Oihan across the vox-caster.

You decided to try to shoot it again, this time it would be way harder and would require more punching power to break its hull. Your lasgun had still two full power charges, they could be used in a single shoot that theoretically could pierce enough.

You removed your half empty power pack and placed a new one. Then softly pushed the switch towards “Full charge”. The weapon softly hummed and shook, maybe in fear, maybe in excitement.

The plane flew at high speed over your head, but it wasn't quick enough to escape your scanner. While it ascended to return and attack again you started sending all your power towards your cogitator brain, using all your processing capabilities and focusing all your Random Access Memories to the task of studying the vehicle and learning its attack patterns.

After some minutes were your brain burns and itches to the maddening point of wanting to scalp yourself to scrape your grey matter the results come. On your mind and your eyes thousands of routes and mathematical symbols appear and flash.

As the bomber gets closer you aim and shoot pretty confidently. The two beams become wide and fuse in mid-air creating a laser as thick as your arm. But even with the ample area of effect you miss. Not because of your calculations but because of the human nature, your reaction times and many other variables impossible to fully calculate. As the beam gets close to it the pilot get more aggressive and starts doing strange pirouettes in the day sky.

You start to become anxious, and you aren't the only one. The lasgun spits his power charge even before you had time to remove it. Both owner and weapon shaking lightly. Not only your biological parts were shaking but also the bionic ones, maybe you fused with their machine spirits in such a stressing moment, maybe it was the inverse and right now you were more human than ever.
>>
>>38632361
You fell on your knees, desperate and with your arms shaking more than ever, the gun weakly lied next to you, his lights dying as the last remnants of the power charge died and the machine spirit went to sleep.

Oihan roughly grabbed you with his power fist and pushed your weak body into the ammo car.

“We need you more than ever! Don’t fail the Emperor right now Skitarii!” Hearing that made me raise my lowered head and look at her eyes once again, it was the first time she called me a true Skitarii, a warrior. “I have seen men fight way harsher shit on a relaxed morning, this plane is being shoot down by a heavy bolter and various other weapons. This is nothing you hear?!”

She then punched me with her naked fist twice, once in the face, the other in the stomach.

“You still owe me many hours of work so get out there and help the others!”

Looking at the interior of the ammo car you noticed something, lots and lots of tank shells.

“Oihan, do you know how to shoot a tank?”

She looked at you funny and punched you again, this time on the organic shoulder.

“Of course.”

“There is ammo there, why don’t we use the Leman Russ to shoot the plane down?”

With a smile and a wink she grabbed two shells in each arm and kicked the door to advance towards the tank. As you weren't as strong as her you could only carry two at the same time. She was excited, even jogged the last feet onto the battle tank. She left two shells on the hull and hurriedly opened the upper entrance hatch. A minute later you two were inside the now closed vehicle.

"If the sacred tone of approval is given after the panel lights under your left hand, bless the key once with your lips, and insert into the sacred slot lit by holy lumen glow." So proclaimeth St. Geordi!

You raised your hand and continued with your litany.

“Anima Mechanica, exsuscitare, Blessed machine, a thousand pardons for my unworthy hands,
Deus in Machina,
For the Omnissiah!”

Slowly you ritually turned on the different lights and the engine. Soon the machine spirit was awake and roaring loud as smoke came from the exhausts, it was ready to fight the enemies of the Imperium.

The Commissar gets herself into the gunner’s seat and looks thru the visor, trying to locate the Thunderbolt. Once she does she aligns and fixes the aim towards her objective.

Meanwhile I pushed the first hard and heavy shell into the chamber, excited about being part of it.

“FIRE!” She yelled as the first tank round flew over the air, piercing the wind and breaking the sky towards the Heavy Fighter.

You looked over a small slit, trying to get on your knees to look higher and then you saw it. The plane’s left engine exploding in a million pieces, the pilot exploding from inside due to the pressure change and the heat. Even if he was defeated the Commissar wanted total and utter destruction of the machine!

“FIRE!”

The next shell wasn’t as accurate; it flew way too high and became lost on the horizon. None of the next shoots impacted the already destroyed plane as it descended but most of them went pretty close, it was admirable what a good aim she had with such and unpredictable aimless objective.

As it completely explodes on the floor you two yell in happiness and go out. The entire crew meets into the driver’s cockpit; Kontarus is now totally fused with the machines, thousands of cables connected to his nape and his spine.
>>
>>38633374
We relaxed for about thirty minutes, until our last thread appeared in front of us. Kontarus was the first one to see it due to its new augmented senses but he wasn't the first one in that place that saw the enemy we were about to encounter.

“Something is on the tracks, something big!”

“Run over it, this thing could obliterate anything on its path.”

“The auspex cannot read it completely. It is returning NULL or unknown parameters. It is impossible.”

Kontarus was the only one who didn't encounter any daemon and didn't knew to full extent what they could do. We all turned serious and climbed once again to look outside…and there he was. Noctum was in front of us ready to stop the train with his bare demonically fueled strength.

The giant daemon prince without skin and a mask made from different parts of the human body opens its arms, readying to embrace and grab the engine by brute force.

It somehow survives the impact, even managing to slow the engine a little bit. The sacred machine manages to maintain a high speed and push it back. As the Daemon Prince is blown he breaks countless rockrete sleepers and sends railway spikes violently flying in all directions, some of them even managing to pierce the hull of the engine.

A titanic battle between the train and the daemon started, Konterus became distressed of having to push the machine so hard, his mind being endlessly bombarded by the intrusive and alarming status messages that the two servitors sent at unceasingly.

Then the impossible happened, something that caught everybody by surprise. Clawing the engine and using its powerful back Noctum managed to lift the train in the air, the powerful plasmatic engines now totally useless.

With a twist and a powerful punch he sent the engine and the first car out of the rails. The violence of the impact was even worse for the Guardsmen as some died from the impact against the windows or became trapped under the weight of the car.

You slowly moved out, feeling weak but unarmed, Oihan came out too and shortly after Fire in the Skin joined. Konterus and Nicholo never exited the cockpit....

From the flipped car only a few guardsmen manage to stand up and raise its weapons towards the Daemon.

"Fire! Attend the survivors!" You yelled standing up. "Use this as an emergency defibrillator!" With a quick mind link you connected into your servoskull Morti and ordered it to follow the tribal medic in its aid.

Oihan acted immediately and rallied the survivors around her.

"We fought this enemy once and we will do it again and again until its small mind learns that nobody can beat the Imperium!" She yelled. Luckily for her the tank was still with the key on and they didn't needed to start the engine. I meanwhile ran over my beloved drill while trying to contact the HQ.

Fucking HQ. We gotta bail out of here as soon as possible. Though I'd like Fire to check for sure if Konterus and Nicholo are dead and not simply seriously injured and couldn't get out.

There were now some bombers incoming and ready to deploy their missiles or whatever they were equipped with to carpet bomb and erase any trace of the bomb and anything that was in its path. The Omnissiah is a truly neutral entity. Its weapons make no distinctions and will slay anything on their way, as that is their true nature.

Thinking about the nature of the machine spirit weapons got you thinking. The other daemon was killed by the plasma overload of the turret; the engine has a way more powerful yet similarly functioning mechanism…maybe you could just the drill to push the Daemon against the engine and let the tank shell it, making both vehicles explode in a massive plasmatic overcharge. But that would be a suicide and Heresy. You had no better ideas anyway. All you could do now was inform Oihan of the incoming bombing.

“Commisar, I managed to contact with the HQ, they are sending bombers to our position to clean everything on their path. The transmission cut before they could tell when they would come.”

Silence was her answer, and tanks shell against the Daemon her first action.

>Start working on a tunnel so the remaining guardsmen, Fire, Oihan and you can take shelter when the bombardment comes.
>Try to use the drill as a weapon once more, get in the midst of the battle.
>Go to the Ammo cars and get new power packs, try to headshot him again as you did the last time.
>Free action.

>Start working on a tunnel so the remaining guardsmen, Fire, Oihan and you can take shelter when the bombardment comes.
>Get a guardsman to grab ammo.

You yelled at an small yet fast looking guardswoman to get ammo for you and also the rest of her squad. She kinda reminded you of the small and petite recruit that you meet on your homeworld...what was her name?

Focusing again you grabbed the ammo she gave you and started on your mission to drill downwards, to create a tunnel deep enough to protect against the bombs but not tilted to become a hole, and possibly a mass grave.

Your methodical mind immediately told you that a 45 degree inclination was the best option, it was in the middle between the vertical and horizontal dimensions after all.

The melta once again made the work easier, it turned the ground into a slag that was easy to push back and became a crystaline surface once frozen. But even with the power of the Imperial melta technology the drill was being slow for the situation advancing at only 20 miles per hour.

Once you were completely underground you started hearing the explosions and death yells more and more deafened, even if it was a cowardly thought you were glad of being down there instead of facing the Daemon, again.

When the drill was already at 300 feet you advanced horizontally for another 100 feet and slowly ascended. In that tunnel there should be enough space for everybody and to breathe, it should also be dense enough to endure the bombs. Once outside you appeared pretty far away from the battle but it seemed that they were still fighting hard.

On the distance the silhouettes of the Marauder Bombers appeared, they were a squadron of five ships in a triangle setup , they slowly started extending and getting on a horizontal line, ready to open their hatch and deploy the Emperor's fury against the Daemon Noctum.

Your eyes zoomed onto the battle, most guardsmen were horribly dead now, Noctum had lost and arm and limped.

"OIHAAAAAAN!!" You yelled "GET INTO THE HOLE!!!"

She looked at you an instant and nodded, launched, started advancing backwards towards the hole and shooting every time she could, the recoil of the big cannon giving her small bursts of acceleration every time she fired.

Her men went first, descending into the dark hole sliding as if it were a dark and scary playground.

The noise and lights of the first explosions shaking and blinding you. When the first wave of explosions were over all you could see was the tank taking over the hole and sealing it from the rage of the Daemon that then proceeded to destroy the mighty battle vehicle...and possibly Oihan with her.

Filled with sorrow you descended into the hole backwards, so the survivors in the interior aren't greeted by your drills and can instead enter from behind to ascend easier.

You would have cried if you could...but you couldn't, and that made you even more sorrowful, not for the fact of crying itself but for being unable to truly express how you felt.

After totally descending a metallic knocking called at the back door. You opened it sad and slowly and there she was alive and only a little bit wounded.

"Don't even dare"

She cut after noticing how you wanted to hug her. Fire in the skin was in there too, attending the other wounded and encircled by a group of guardsmen that illuminated him with their lux-casters.

The bombarding continued for over two hours, when there finally passed half an hour with no more signal of bombs we decided to go up. Only four guardsmen survived from the original 100. Some of the most wounded ones would later receive the tripe skull medal for their wounds and big loses yet survival.

We escaped from a hell and now we were about to enter into a worse one.

Oihan told me that she had to use her power fist to keep the pedal pressed and that she barely made it into the hole, that the own tank almost crushed her in two. Unable to hug her in a true fashion the best thing you could do and did was placing one of your dendrites on her shoulder, she didn't seemed to mind it. After an hour of slow and arduous walking and carrying the wounded we reached our destination.

The headquarters were now a ruinous shell of their former glory. Death was present in every corner, some rooms weren't abandoned or with dead bodies hanging around but also desecrated with blood written symbols, skull mounds and disfigured bodies contorted in impossible ways.

Most of the dead bodies lying around belonged to the barbaric enemy but it was still a hard to look at scenario, those cadavers might be clones but they weren't the weak and pink weaklings of before, those men and women have surely ate the meat and drank the blood of thousands of people, both clones and other true humans. Maybe that didn't only gave them more strength and intelligence but also added small parts of their DNA, their soul in them, making every one end adopting first a gender and later a unique appearance and gender. Was Lanky more pure because she ate loyalists? You don't know, you are just a Skitarii, a servant of the Adeptus Mechanicus and such spiritual things were completely out of your grasp.

The important facts were the enemy now wore armor and knew how to use weapons and even tactics while still keeping the numbers in their advantage. Winning was just plain impossible.

We apparently reached and abandoned part of the HQ. Most people had already abandoned the planet and were discussing what action to take in orbit, there were small clusters of battling in some areas but we were safe for now. The guards started to dig tombs for the Commissariat and High ranked members that lied dead around them.

“It’s over.” You said to Oihan and Fire.

“I know.” answered her. “This planet isn't worthy anyway. Exterminatus is the best option.”

The three nodded.

“I wonder why it hasn't be done yet. The Inquisitor located there sure did hate this place and its people.” You asked.

“The Navy captains have power to order and Exterminatus too. I bet they think that it isn't as bad as we report, those navymen barely leave their ships and don’t truly know the crudity of ground war”

An awkward silence formed, it was weird to hear Oihan talking about it being hard instead of delivering motivational speeches.

“Maybe because he is important and hasn't appeared in the star veil yet?” Said the innocent Fire.

Even if that theory came from the mind of an intelligent yet simplistic tribal it was a pretty good one. We have to find the Inquisitor.

We decided to go only us three, it would attract less the attention of the possibly remnant of enemy soldiers.

As I was getting ready, and eating something a hole in reality appeared in front of me, it looked like a purple vertical whirling of fire, from it a bulky and imposing figure of obvious xeno origin appeared, with his lithe hands grabbed me and before anybody could hear or see me pulled me into the same hole it came from.

The reason why they took us so we would use our tech priest talents to bypass the security placed around the prison!

As we are their only major human asset here who is not ONLY a tech priest but ALSO a blank.

As for why...they are either planning to reinforce the prison or deal with the cultists there who are trying to break it.

Suddenly I found myself in a black hill, behind me in the distance there was the HQ, looking around I was even be able to find the two holes I made and the aftermath of the bombing.

On my sides there were some other humans that looked scared and surprised, surrounding us there was a group of Eldar soldiers clad in a soft and curved black and white armor and in front of all of us a familiar face. Elyadien stood in full xeno armor, by the level of detail and jewelry it seemed that she was a member of some power among them, maybe their corrupted version of a Commissar.

“Humans that know of the true nature of this world. The arch-nemesis is winning. My visions are not becoming true and that is because of your foolishness, your kin rely on ignorance to fight chaos and that is why your simple minds cannot grasp what kind of danger we are going to meet. Hekatonkhiros is a daemon older than your puny Imperium, older than your weak species. It comes from an age of pure hatred and violence that nobody should know about.”

She grabbed a jewel and carefully placed it on the ground. From it a holographic image of a clarity and quality that I didn't thought that were possible appeared in front of me. It depicted some kind of ovoid covered in carved alien runes, decorated with the same kind of jewels that they wore on their armor and with some kind of floating light made symbols that were equally alien to me. Covering the ovoid was a chain that extended to the ground.

“This is the Ohte. The prison where the daemon is sealed. It was created by the combined forces of the Eldar gods Vaal and Isha and the strength of Khaine was needed to completely get the bloodthirster inside.”

“There is only one god! THE GOD-EMPEROR OF MANKIND!” Yelled one man, seemly tired of being the xeno’s puppet. It was given a quick death with a swift piercing in the heart. The rebellious spirit of the other human "agents" died with him in that moment.
>>
>>38636593
Man we are gonna have a hell of a time explaining this...

First got a bunch of magos tier heresy directly uploaded into our brain and now we got kidnapped by xenos.
>>
>>38636593
"The Ohte" She continued "It's filled with a divine substance created by Isha, a mix made from amniotic liquid and stem cells. We discovered that this substance acts as a really potent paralyzer with some daemonic entities, specially the ones the ones created by this daemon's God."

The image now showed the interior of the egg looking cell, it had a pink liquid and inside there was a tall and somewhat lanky looking muscular figure with red feathery wings.

"With the sacrifice of countless Eldar warriors and the help of the war god Khaine we managed to push it into the Ohte and seal it until now. It is located in what your kin as called Anomalous High Energy Area B-7600"

I nodded and remembered to see that zone in the maps.

"The Ohte is strong yet delicate, any disturbance could break it and reawaken the daemon inside."

You took the initiative and made a statement, even the most lowly soldier seemed surprised for not being as submissive as the others while not being an idiot.

"There are some meltaguns under the volcano, in case they were used they would activate and make the volcano explode."

Elyadien smiled as if she were waiting you to say that, turned around and gave you the same spider like helmet that the sniper Skitarii Three-Ess wore when you were down there.

"I know." She said with a hint of superiority.

"Try to slow down or completely stop the Exterminatus." Was their final order as they all except you were sent back.

"I have something else for you." She handled you a small black disk, smaller than your palm, made from the same bonelike material that they used on their armor, in the center of the there was a white button.

"This is a distress beacon. After this is over, be it with Hekathonkiros sealed or awakened we will leave again. Before we do you can push this button and a warp spider will take you with us. You aren't like the rest of the Mon'keigh Heracor and we would be grateful of having a mind like yours with us, of course we would even exchange some of our knowledge with you."

The object was smooth and easy to hide if it was needed.

"Albeit our patience isn't as long as our lifespans, we cannot take with us doubtful minds, if you take too long we will move away and sail the stars without you."

This said I was once again returned to the HQ. Oihan appeared soon after.

"Where were you?" She asked somewhat mad.

"I...got lost"

It was really hard to believe, someone like me, grown up in a labyrinth like a forge world was impossible to get lost but her ignorance on those topics apparently made her believe me.

"We found them..." Said Fire apparently ignorant of the tension of the moment.

"Them?" You asked.

The duo took you to a subterranean basement the same one were the prisoners were all the interrogations took place. The two guards were now dead, apparently shoot each other in a double suicide, oddly they were holding hands.

Inside all but the Cell of the space marine became breached, on the floor against a wall lied completely bloodied the inquistor Rodan, clutched to him there was his psyker daughter, she wasn't hurt.

"With his last forces and his own blood he wrote a message..." Said Fire.

*Protect her until she comes, PLEASE*

"Who is he referring too?" You ask.

The little girl hearing finally a voice that she recognizes looks up and answers.

"M-mommy..."

She wasn't the only one who recognized your voice, the sound of heavy shackles and a rage induced agitation came from the Purgatory cell...you then remembered it, you promised the marine that you would take him out to fight the chaos that might have formed among the other Astartes of the island.
