These are the closing days of the 41st millennium, and they are dark days indeed.

Abbadon's 13th Black Crusade has struck a major blow against the fortress world of Cadia, the stronghold barring the heretics and warp-spawn of the Eye of Terror from the rest of the galaxy; the Necrons continue to reawaken across the galaxy, spreading death and fear wherever they appear; the Tyranid Hive Fleets are slowly, but surely, closing in on Holy Terra; the Tau Empire continues to expand, propelled onwards by the pursuit of their 'Greater Good'; the Orks have begun to band together in preparation for a united, galaxy-wide WAAGH!; and the Eldar grow more and more desperate as their numbers dwindle and their empire crumbles.

For more than a hundred centuries, the God-Emperor has sat, unmoving, upon the Golden Throne of Holy Terra, His deathless state maintained by the daily sacrifice of a thousand souls. Even in His eternal undeath, however, the Emperor's Will is made manifest in the form of the Astronomicon, which lights the way for Imperial ships as they travel through the hellish immaterium known by many as the Warp.

But the God-Emperor, it seems, is dying. The Golden Throne that sustains Him is constantly degrading, creeping ever nearer to failure, and the guiding light of His Astronomicon has begun to flicker.

System is D100 (best of three), roll-under, with highly simplistic modifiers and skill-levels. The dice won't be used an awful lot. Except for when they will be, which is, y'know, combat.

Natural 1 = Critical Success.
Natural 100= Critical Failure.
Crits override non-crits.
Critical Failures negate Critical Successes and vice versa; Critical Failures negate five Degrees of Success; Critical Successes mitigate five Degrees of Failure.

To succeed on an average, unremarkable, completely neutral-in-terms-of-everything skill test, you have to roll UNDER 40.
That is, 39 or lower.

(This system is subject to change if it turns out to be terrible)

YOU are Bellatrix Curis, Battle-Sister-in-training, and if there's anything you'd say about your time spent on Limbus IV thus far... it'd probably be something along the lines of, “It's been interesting.”

You're in a bit of a pickle at the moment, though, so such reflection is the last thing on your mind.

There's a huge greenskin in what you can only surmise is a set of makeshift 'power' armor, slathered in red paint and equipped with a several-barreled gun and a 'power klaw'.

The latter weapon has already taken your left arm, and is currently midway through the backswing of its second deadly stroke.
Its wielder, perhaps the ugliest greenskin you've encountered thus far, bellows with what you assume to be incoherent rage, showing you far too much of what must pass for dental hygiene in ork culture.

Your Multi-melta lays on the ground at your feet, having just tripped you- indirectly causing you to lose an arm.
>>
Behind you (or... is it 'above' you?), you can hear the sounds of Alirye fighting off a greenskin herself. The resounding clash of metal on wraithbone, those cute little grunts she makes when she swings her weapon, the stupid orky noises greenskins make when you're trying to appreciate how cute Alirye's grunts and things are, and the tell-tale humming (err, singing) of her 'Singing Spear'.

Inside of this structure- you suppose you'd call it a 'dome', were it not made of hastily-welded-together scrap and trash- there's not much else to hear besides the sounds of two irksome greenskins and one cute eldar. Outside, though, you can hear the roar of Aila's Chimera, the screeching PEW-PEW-PEW of its Multilaser rapidly exciting air molecules (and putting lots of little holes in things), the rattling of stubbers and bolters, and the war-cries of the remaining greenskins.

More importantly, though, you're still alive.
This greenskin wants to change that.

So you'll just have to... dissuade it.

>Sweep its leg before it can strike!
>Dodge its attack and try to get on its armor!
>Dive under its 'klaw' and go for the Multi-melta!
>Try to catch its 'klaw' mid-swipe!

You do your best to give the Ork a sultry smile.

However, as Ork-kun is an asexual berserker and you're attracted to pretty girls, your smile fails to charm him.

On the bright side, if he manages to survive, he'll spread the good word about dental hygiene to all ork-kind.

...

Too bad that'd involve you being horribly killed.

Your thoughts flash back to your CQC training at the Schola. Drill Abbot Kreese's mantra, words instilled into every cadet (and cadette? You were never sure if that was a thing or not) from day one of Kreese's training, ring forth in your mind.

'Strike first. Strike hard. No mercy for the guilty, the heretic or the apostate.'

That's right.

This greenskin is guilty. It is a heretic who hides away from the Emperor's light.

And it is your duty to drag this beast into His light, whether it likes it or not.

The ork takes a step forward as it brings its klaw down, putting its entire body-weight behind the blow, and you take the opportunity to attack. You act faster than you thought you could, and, before you realize what's happening, you're lunging forwards, somersaulting between its massive legs.

You reach the end of your roll between its massive metal feet and lash out with your left leg, delivering a bone-shattering roundhouse kick to what you think is probably the calf of the leg the beast's weight is resting on.

The shoddy craftsmanship of the greenskin's suit is made painfully obvious as the metal crumples underneath your blow. The force of the impact is sufficient to knock the beast's leg out from under its body, and you dive out of the way as the thing topples over onto its back with a cry of “WUT DA ZOG?!”

The ork's suit sends a slight tremor though the ground as gravity pulls the two into contact with violent gusto, and, as you get back to your feet, you realize you have several options.

>Finish off the Ork with your pistol.
>Finish it off with your bare hands- err, hand.

Damn work getting in the way of playing this awesomeness, I'll be reading along with my phone but won't be able to post.

Just posting here as a reminder from last thread, when we rescue elfbutt we should have her put our arm in a stasis field to preserve it so Aila can reattach it later when we get out of this mess. Maybe we can even get a badass tattoo where it was severed when it gets put back on and healed.

You glance over at the Multi-melta, which, in what you suppose might be some form of irony, is now lying at the feet of the ork.

A part of you wishes you could've chopped one of its arms off, too- turnabout is fair play, after all.

… The Multi-melta could take an arm off, certainly... but...
When you consider that it was malfunctioning earlier... perhaps its machine spirit just plain doesn't like you?
Maybe it misses being used by whoever used it last. After all, it was probably one of the Mechanicus- and who knows better how to pamper a machine spirit than a techpriest?

No, you can't waste time screwing around. Leaving a dangerous enemy to its own devices for any amount of time, even if it seems like it won't be able to retaliate anytime soon, is foolish in the extreme.

You quickly make your way around to its unarmored head, which is bellowing and thrashing about as furiously as ever, and an idea pops into your head.

You take a phosphor grenade from a pouch on your belt (a pouch that you had a remarkably easy time opening one-handed, to your pleasant surprise), bash the greenskin over the head with it until he loses consciousness, and shove the incendiary grenade into the ork's open maw.

You move away from the creature and its gargantuan suit of armor until you're sure you're not in the grenade's blast radius, then, in one smooth motion, you turn, draw your boltpistol, and put a single round into the ork's cheek.

The phosphor grenade detonates as intended, engulfing the ork's head- and a good portion of the stuff around it- in a white-hot conflagration awesome enough to make you offer thanks to the Emperor.

You hear a heavy THUMP, followed by a second, louder THUMP, and look over to see that Alirye has cleanly decapitated her opponent.

She makes her way over to you, stopping only to crouch down and pick up your left arm on the way. She seems concerned, and, as she hands you your arm and takes notice of your... handiwork, she asks, “What happened?”

You accept your arm gratefully, then smirk at the flaming corpse of your former foe.

“He ate something he probably shouldn't have.”

Alirye rolls her eyes. “... At least I know you're alright, then.”

The two of you head outside through the front 'door,' having decided that the lack of gunfire-sounds and ork-sounds means that it's safe.

Sure enough, the Chimera's parked right outside, and Aila's sitting atop it, swinging her legs back and forth and, it seems, daydreaming.

You and Alirye exchange glances. Neither of you makes a sound.

You clear your throat, and the cat-eared, dark-skinned techpriestess flinches and whirls around to face you, apparently startled by the sudden noise, “I, uh, I could use a hand, here.” You ignore Alirye's groan, because you're on a roll, here!

After a moment, Aila's mechadendrites start to look less like they're about to stab you and more like something that undulates far less threateningly. Like seaweed, or a kitten's tail.

She tilts her head and looks you over. “... I see. Would you like me to assist you?”

You give her a 'what the frak do you think?' sort of look, and, surprisingly enough, she seems to get it, as she hops down from the hull of the Chimera and approaches you.

She holds out a hand and asks, “May I see your arm?”

You hand her your arm, and she gives it a once-over. “... Hmm. It seems to be in good condition,” she notes, turning it over in her hands, “and it's a surprisingly clean cut, especially considering that it was an ork that did it...” She glances over at Alirye. “... It /was/ an ork that did this, wasn't it?”

“Yep. A big one, with a huge suit of armor and a 'power klaw'.”

Aila nods. “I see...” She looks your arm over once again, then clears her throat. “May I also see your... um... stump?”

“Sure,” you say, angling yourself so that what's left of your arm is facing the red-robed cat-lady.

“Thank you. Now, hold very still... this will either be painless, or excruciating.”

[1/2]
>>
“... What is it that you're doing, exactly?” You ask.

The response is... less than reassuring. “Trust me,” Aila says, “I'm a Magos Biologis for a reason, y'know.”

Alirye takes this as a cue to hold your hand, which, while comforting, also carries the worry that you might accidentally crush her dainty hand.

>“Okay, I'm ready. Do your thing.”
>“Alright. Do it, before I change my mind!”
>“... Maybe we should wait until we're back before we do anything...? I mean, it's only a flesh wound, really...”

“... Okay,” you say, “Do it. I'm ready.” You set your jaw, squeeze your eyes shut, and ask the Emperor for strength.

“Right, then,” Aila says. “Here goes nothing.”

For a moment, you wonder what you were expecting- all you feel is the relatively minor pain of your severed limb being pressed against the tender flesh it was separated from so abruptly.

That moment, unfortunately, passes.

The next few moments seem like an eternity and the blink of an eye at the same time.

The pain begins as the bone in your arm fuses back into a single, cohesive whole. You wince at this, but nothing more.

The pain worsens significantly as your muscles begin reconnecting with their own severed fibres, knitting themselves together once more- twitching and writing and crawling in your skin all the while.

“Fascinating,” Aila breathes.

Alirye makes gagging noises, then throwing-up noises.

As your skin begins to grow back together, the pain level increases exponentially, and, after a brief glimpse of the worst pain you've ever felt, your consciousness has the decency to leave you.

When you come to, you find yourself in the room you were assigned. Your head is pillowed in Alirye's lap, and she's running her fingers through your hair...

You're a bit disoriented, but your arm doesn't hurt anymore... just what the frak was that...?

You sit up, roll your shoulders, and bring your left hand up in front of your face. Looking your arm as a whole over, all that seems out of place is a slightly discolored ring around your arm, just below your shoulder, where your arm was separated from itself not so long ago.

You wiggle your fingers, clench and unclench your fist, prod your palm with the fingers of your right hand, trace the tendons in the back of your hand, check that your wrist is properly connected, bend and unbend your elbow, and test your range of motion...

Ah.

You can't lift your arm above your shoulder, it seems.

Alirye clears her throat. “... Bella? Are you alright?”

“... Kinda? I'm just a bit stiff-”

Alirye, it seems, doesn't need any further prompting, as her fingers begin dancing across your shoulder, expertly rubbing and prodding the knots out of your muscles.

After a few moments, you realize that your shoulder's probably just partially dislocated- no big deal, this happened all the time back at the Schola- you gently brush Alirye's hands aside, then take hold of your shoulder and, applying a bit of force, pop your arm back into place.

Alirye cringes, then begins rubbing at your shoulder once more, easing away aches and pains you never realized you had.

“You poor thing,” she mutters, “how can you walk around like this?”

It's around this time that you realize you're wearing little more than a pair of shorts and a sleeveless shirt... which means someone undressed and re-dressed you.

Alirye moves on from your shoulder to your neck, and you let out a contented sigh.

You briefly allow yourself to melt under Alirye's tender machinations, and you attempt to compliment her several times (though whether or not your half-sigh speech is understandable is debatable) as she begins working her way down your spine.

She finishes after awhile, then hugs you from behind, draping her arms over your shoulders and kinda half-way wrapping them around your neck.

“How's that?” She asks, “Better?”

“I feel glorious,” you say, “stronger than ever.”

“... Really?”

You grin. “Yep. Here, I'll show you.” You flex for her, showing off the lean muscle you've built over the course of your life at the schola, and she runs her hands all over... pretty much everything, to be honest.

At some point, your shirt came off, because now your breasts are only covered by a bra... and Alirye's face.

She seems to be enjoying herself quite a lot, though. “So soft...”

You're kinda irritated, if you're honest. You've got a frakking six-pack.

You aren't quite sure what kind of revenge it is, but, hey- it feels at least as satisfying as you assume normal revenge would.

So... maybe rubbing her ears isn't revenge.

But it's so satisfying...

You pinch her ears with a thumb and a forefinger each, and, relishing the surprised gasp Alirye lets out, begin rubbing them.

She moans throatily, then extracts her face from your bosom, crawls up so that the two of you are face to face, applies one hand to each of your mammies, and kisses you.

You can feel your face heating up as you do your best to defeat Alirye in a round of tongue-boxing, and, though you are a master of tongue-manship, she's almost making up the difference with her eagerness.

It's only when she's halfway through removing your shorts that the door opens.

>Keep going. You don't even care at this point.
>Stop, but don't act as if anything strange was happening It was just almost-lewd stuff, after all.
>Pause, at least long enough to see who it is, but don't disengage from Alirye. Just in case it's a minor interruption.

Yeah, I don't believe that. Six-packs aren't just from building muscle. They're from cutting fat, the same fat that makes women soft.

Different people burn fat in different areas of the body, anon.
Or are all people who do the same exercise exactly the same, build-wise?

Bella has some interesting genetics, and boobs are hardly the strangest result of that.

Also, you have to consider that this is the opinion of a stick fig- err, an Eldar.

And the super-strength thing has something to do with it, too. She was always toned, but now she's more noticeably muscular.

You stop what you're doing, but you don't make any sort of move to disentangle yourself from Alirye.

A familiar cat-eared head pokes into the room. “I-if I'm interrupting anything, I can come back-”

“Oh, believe me,” Alirye says icily, “whether or not you're interrupting is no longer a question. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether or not your interruption is worthwhile or not.”

You press your forehead to hers. “Hey. Don't be mean. How's she supposed to know what we're doing?”

She frowns. “It should be obvious-”

You pull her close and whisper-explain to your Eldar lover that Techpriests aren't exactly renowned for their social skills, and that they generally don't understand a wide range of social cues.

“... So you're saying she doesn't realize what she's interrupting?”

You suddenly get the feeling that you shouldn't answer this question. But you answer nonetheless. How could you not answer it? It's an honest question. “... Probably, yeah.”

Alirye pulls back a little ways, looks Aila in the eye, and explains, in detail, how to tell if two people in a room are having sex. She also explains how to tell if you're interrupting two people who are trying to do the deed, how to tell if they want you to leave, and what sorts of things it's okay to interrupt lovemaking for.

Aila blinks. “... I see. I will take this into account in the future.” She bows. “Thank you for your contribution to the Quest for Knowledge. I will share this information with my colleagues, and the Mechanicus' relations with the rest of humanity will improve because of it.”

You... you don't know what to think right now.

Alirye nods. “I certainly hope so. You and your colleagues make it nigh impossible to make love.” She clears her throat. “Now, what was it you came here for?”

“We have finished repairs on Sister Curis' armor and would like to brief you on your next assignment tomorrow at 1300 hours.”

“Is that all?”

Aila tilts her head. “You are displaying signs of frustration. Is this because I am still present, thus preventing you from having intercourse?”

“Yes. That's exactly why.”

“I see.”

You watch as Aila stands there, apparently puzzling over something.

>“Is something wrong?”
>“... Aila? You alright?”
>“... We're not to the sex part just yet, Aila.”
>“... Something on your mind?”

You and Alirye exchange glances. “... Aila? You alright?”

“I am... well.”

Alirye sighs. “What's on your mind?”

“... I am having difficulty understanding some things.”

“We'll help you as best as we can,” you say, “just tell us- what is it that's bothering you?”

“... At what stage in the intercourse are you, currently?”

Alirye tugs on your shorts, which are still around your knees. “We're not having sex just yet. We're working towards it. In fact, we're just about there. Hence my removing Bella's pants.”

Aila scratches her chin. “... So you are... pre-intercourse?”

You nod. “Yep.”

“Precisely,” Alirye says. “Some refer to this stage as 'foreplay'.”

“Foreplay... I understand.” Aila frowns. “I do not understand how two females can perform intercourse.” She tilts her head. “... Do Eldar females have penises?”

“... I'm sure your people have some fascinating depictions of all sorts of sexual acts,” Alirye says, “but describing the methods of love-making is a very good way to ruin the mood.”

“... I see. I will perform research, then...”

[1/2]
>>
Seeing that she's still standing there, you ask, “Is there anything else?”

“... What is a 'masturbation', exactly?”

You offer a prayer (or seven) to the Emperor.
It's like dealing with a curious child... only the curious child is a grown woman with a large vocabulary.

“Masturbation is essentially any method of having sex with yourself,” Alirye explains, and, not for the first time, you see that the Emperor has blessed her with His light.

“... I see. That is... intriguing.” Aila frowns after a moment. “Does the moisture that has been accumulating in my undergarments have anything to do with intercourse?”

“... If it occurs again during your research on homosexual intercourse between females,” Alirye begins, “it indicates that you yourself are a homosexual.”

“... I see...” She tilts her head. “If I find that I am a homosexual, will you provide me guidance on that subject?”

You and Alirye exchange glances.

>“... Uh... Sure, I guess.”
>“... What sort of guidance are we talking about, here?”
>“... I don't think you'll need it? You're probably the most attractive Techpriest I've ever met.”
>“... Um... Maybe? I think that'll have to be decided on a case-by-case basis.”

“... Um... Maybe?” You and Alirye exchange glances. “I think that'll have to be decided on a case-by-case basis.”

Alirye nods. “It'll depend largely on the sort of 'guidance' you're looking for.”

“I understand.”

Aila turns to leave, and you add, “Be sure to change your underwear, by the way.”

“I will. Thank you for your assistance.” She pauses. “I will leave so that you two may resume sexing one another.” And, on that note, she leaves. The door shuts behind her with that tell-tale WHOOSH, and Alirye sighs and buries her face in your cleavage.

“I've never been so exhausted by a conversation in my life,” she says, and you pat her on the head.

“... Yeah, that kinda killed the mood, huh?”

“I think 'killed' is a bit too gentle a term. That was a massacre. An atrocity. An affront to moods everywhere.”

“... We can try again later,” you offer. “After a nap, maybe?”

Alirye peeks up at you from your bosom. “... I like you more and more every time you speak.”

“Aww. Thanks.” Your cheeks heat up, and, after a few moments, you ask, “... Can you pull my shorts back up?”

“Not a chance,” she mutters, even as she reaches down and pulls your last non-underwear article of clothing off of you, “Just be grateful that I don't mind the brassiere.”

“That's lewd.”

“It was meant to be lewd, Bella.”

“No, I mean the word 'brassiere'. It sounds way sexier than 'bra,' doesn't it?”

“... Get some sleep. We should be well-rested for our first time.”

You blink. “... Wait, do you mean that you've never-”

“Not a single time. And neither have you. So this is extra-special for the both of us.”

It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep on your chest... and, as you drift off to sleep, you wonder for the first time- just how old is this Eldar?
