Finishing up your training for the day, you head inside to find that Lana has already made dinner. The meal passes by rather quickly, though you do inform everyone that you plan on leaving the next morning. Shannon seems a bit disappointed, but is understanding.

After the meal is finished, you decide to help with the dishes. Lana and Lisa lend a hand as well, while Jenna and Shannon head into the living room.

“Hey Ceil,” Lisa asks you after dinner, “I asked Lana about things in the forest I could use to make arrows, and she gave me a few ideas. I’m planning on doing a bit of hunting later tonight.”

You consider how to reply

"Want me to come with you and help you search?" you ask, a bit concerned.

"If you want to," Lisa replies, "I'm not even sure how much luck I'll have."

"Sure," you nod, "It might be fun."

You head upstairs to gather your gear before meeting Lisa outside.

"Lana mentioned a few of the monsters around here that might be useful," Lisa explains, "There should be some various trees and stumps in the forest that are actually ghosts, which I could use to make arrow shafts. There are also a few insects and other animals I could use the stingers and claws of to make arrowheads. Not sure how useful it will all be, but it can't hurt right?"

"Yeah, better safe than sorry," you smile.

The two of you head into the woods, Lisa explaining what to be on the lookout for. You went ahead and brought all your monsters with you as well. Riolu helps by using his aura sight to prevent you from getting lost as you look through the woods for your quarry.

You spend a few hours searching, without much luck. You mostly find a few of the insects that Lisa mentioned, as well as a couple of black hounds that try and attack you. All of them easily go down from coordinated attacks from your team however.

Soon, Lisa has a fairly substantial number of stingers, claws, and teeth, though you haven't found whatever else she was after.

"It's getting a bit late Ceil," Lisa says, "Do you think we should turn back?"

"Let's keep looking for a bit longer," you suggest, "We might be able to find something good."

"Alright, Lisa nods.

You take the lead as you head further into the woods. You don't feel like you're getting turned around, though the forest itself is rather eerie at this late hour.

Eventually, you come across something rather interesting. It seems to be another house, somewhat larger than Maggie's. You can see several lights on inside, illuminating an area around the house as well. It was rather late though, you wonder who would be up at this hour.

You decide to pause for a moment and focus your aura vision on the structure, examining it for anything strange.

Sure enough, while the basic frame of the house is there, you notice a few gaps in the walls and roof, filled in by the strange nothingness caused by ghosts. You don't spot anyone inside either, just a few more of the dark blotches.

You decide to get out of there. You really didn't like the looks of this place.

Heading back to the other house, you arrive close to the middle of the night. You and Lisa quietly sneak upstairs and into your room, taking off your gear before getting into bed.

"Thanks for helping out tonight, Ceil," Lisa yawns, a bit tired from the late night.

"Don't mention it," you reply, "It's just too bad that we didn't find anything really good."

"Yeah," she nods, "I'm glad we didn't come back empty handed though. Maybe we'll have more luck later on."

The two of you talk a while more before you find yourselves drifting off.

------------------

The next morning, you're awakened by Jenna pulling the sheets off of you and Lisa.

"C'mon Ceil! Wake up!" Jenna says cheerfully, "Breakfast is already you two!"

You stand up out of bed, Lisa rubbing her eyes as she rises after you.

"Good morning Jenna," Lisa mumbles before heading downstairs.

The two of you follow after her, discovering that Lana has already finished preparing breakfast. Maggie offers you both some tea, and you find it pleasantly refreshing. The meal itself helps wake you up from your late night as well.

"So I suppose you'll be leaving after this?" Maggie asks as the meal starts to wind down.

"That was the plan," you respond, "I wouldn't want to impose after all."

"You'll come back though right?" Shannon questions with a worried tone, Jenna's look mirroring her statements.

"Of course we will," you chuckle, "If you'll have us that is."

"It isn't much trouble," Lana sighs, "I don't see why you're still worrying about that."

Once breakfast is done, Lisa helps Lana with the dishes while you and Jenna start packing up all your gear for your departure. Soon, you have everything together and are all set to go.

"One last thing before we go," you remark, "Lisa and I found a strange house when we were wandering around last night. It looked like it had a lot of ghosts in it."

"Ah," Maggie says, "That must have been a haunted house. They're not too uncommon. Many abandoned structures and buildings attract ghosts in larger numbers, which then use their abilities to make them appear like someone is living there order to attract people to them."

"So long as you pay attention you'll be fine," Lana continues, "They don't usually strike out at anyone who doesn't fall for it."

"Alright," you nod, "Thanks."

After you finish talking, the three of you head outside to where Lisa, Jenna and Shannon were waiting.

"I'll miss you a bunch," Shannon says, "It was really fun having someone else to play with!"

"Yeah," Jenna smiles, "I'll make sure and ask Ceil if we can come back sometime!"

After you finish saying your farewells, your group starts heading further southeast through the woods.

The three of you have a quiet walk through the woods. Luckily, you don't get lost this time around. Nothing jumps out at you either, so your journey is relatively peaceful.

Soon, you spot the peaks of the mountains through the trees, and see them more fully as you near the edge of the forest. From what you've heard, this was the largest mountain in the Kalos region. There wasn't even a tunnel or pass through it, due to all the powerful monsters that lived there.

"Woah, it's so tall!" Jenna gasps, looking on in amazement.

"Yeah," Lisa smiles, "My dad told me stories about it, but seeing it in person is something else.

You head across the clearing before finding a spot to rest for lunch. Lisa excitingly tells you about all the different monsters that could be found in the peaks. Seems she's really excited for the hunting trip.

"So Ceil, how do we want to handle this?" Lisa asks, "I mean, it might be a bit dangerous to take Jenna up with us. We could set up a camp here so she'll have somewhere safe to stay."

"Aww..." Jenna frowns, "But I wanted to see the top of the mountain..."

"It's fine if she comes along. She's got her own monsters to help her," you say, "Plus I'm worried about leaving her alone."

"Yay!" Jenna cheers, hugging your leg.

"If you say so Ceil," Lisa shrugs.

After a finishing lunch, Lisa explains her plan. She wants to get up to the peak, hopefully snagging a few good kills along the way. It sounded simple enough, but you knew from the things she described earlier that it would be dangerous.

Once explaining the situation to the rest of your team and making sure you have everything in order, you proceed to the foot of the mountain, finding a path to begin your trek to the top.

The first stretch of your journey is slow an arduous due to the rough terrain. It's a steep climb in most places, and several times a few rock monsters try and barrel down the mountain at you. Shelgon marches at the front to bash most of the larger ones away, while Riolu and Frogadier turn aside the smaller ones. Eventually, you arrive at a flatter piece of terrain, and the entrance of what seems to be a cave. You take a break there to help catch your breath.

"I'm...so tired," Jenna moans, exhausted from the difficult climb.

"Just hang in there okay?" Lisa replies.

Jenna gives a slow nod, and the three of you head into the cave itself. It seems rather expansive, and you can spot various tunnels and passages leading in all sorts of directions. This cavern probably winds its way through the entire mountain.

Just as you begin to work your way through however, you find yourselves quickly surrounded by a large number of spider monsters. You quickly assume a defensive formation, save for Jenna, who shrieks.

"I-I hate spiders!" she cries, "I just wanted to see the top of the mountain! I wish I was there already!"

Jirachi, who was clutched tightly to her chest, perks up at this, closing his eyes and glowing softly. Then, Jenna suddenly vanishes in a bright flash of light. Did it just whisk her to the peak?

The spiders are still closing in, meaning you'll need to do something about them before you can start looking for Jenna.

You quickly circle closely together, ready to fight off the spiders as they approach. Their first attempt is to shoot webbing at you, though Shelgon's flames along with your sword handle that easily enough. Meanwhile, Lisa manages to take out a few using her arrows.

Once they sense that they can't win by keeping their distance, they begin to close in, fangs dripping with venom. It's a tough fight, with many harsh blows exchanged all around, but you manage to fight them off without too much trouble. Sentret in particular manages to take out one of the spiders all by itself. Eventually though, the bugs give up, feeling into the recesses of the cave away from your group.

>Riolu HP 20/25
>Shelgon HP 40/50

Once the battle ends, a bright flash of light comes from Sentret, and looking back you see he seems to have a new shape. Lisa gives him a bit of quick praise, but there isn't much time to celebrate.

"My dad told me that these tunnels led all the way to the top of the mountain," Lisa explains, "We should be able to make it to Jenna this way."

You notice that Riolu seems to have been poisoned in that last fight as well, once of the spiders managing to bite him. He tries to pretend he's fine, but you can tell he's hurting.

You hand Riolu one of the Pecha berries you'd purchased, and he happily eats it, and you can see the relief washing over him.

Then, you start working your way through the caves. Many of the smaller monsters flee at the sight of your large group, you a few more lash out before you turn them away.

As you work your way through the caves though, you eventually reach a larger cavern. As you move across it, you hear loud footfalls behind you, a large dragon appearing from behind a massive rock, eying you up.

You could try and stand your ground and fight, but you might be able to get away if you're fast enough.

You call your party to a stop to turn and face the large dragon, gripping your sword in hand.

Shelgon takes the front as Lisa starts pelting it with arrows, Riolu and Frogadier approaching from the sides. Sylveon attempts to close the distance as well, though the beast rears back and starts flapping its wings, causing a strong wind to push them away. Then, seizing the moment, it fires off a large beam that explodes as it carves through the nearby rock, blasting your monsters away further.

>Riolu HP 10/25

You quickly leap up onto Shelgon's back before jumping again, thrusting with your ghost sword to get onto the back of the other dragon, stabbing down as you do so.

It cries out in alarm, trying to swipe its claws at you and the others as they approach. However, Shelgon confidently charges in, breathing fire to shield himself from the claws. Then, he hits the creature in the leg with a full force tackle, causing it to topple over backwards. You manage to leap off in time, though the beast remains on its back, seemingly knocked out. Shelgon lets out a roar of victory at his defeated foe.

With that done, you congratulate Shelgon quickly before moving on through the tunnels in your search for Jenna.
