This week was the fifth anniversary of the very first Lego Quest episode! To celebrate the occasion, I've put together a very special surprise.
Previously, on Game of Electroswords...
"I don't care what the Queen wants! Either Genevieve dies, or you do!""You speak of treason!""It won't be treason when I rule!"
"Amperius, I swear on my honor I did not kill him!""Liar!"
[DRAMATIC MUSIC INTENSIFIES]

"Hmph," Solman grunts, and brings his huge axe to bear, but no sooner does he begin his toss-
Rolled 8 (1d12)>>38999274Tell him the story of our birth: how we were born in the forests of futuron, clawing our way out of our mother's womb!Truth being optional.

>>38999611Of course, THAT would be the 12 rolled...By the way, congrats on 5 years Lego Quest. Shit should be a TV show or something.
>>38998935Aw yiss, motherfucking LEGO Quest! Shame I'm travelling home soon, otherwise I would participate!
Fearlessly, Solman turns into the path of the gunfire unflinchingly and throws his axe skyward with all his might!
Before the other treeson can ready another volley, Solman turns and leaps into the air, his Futuron strength propelling him toward the hapless forestborn!
"Hmph," Solman snorts to himself as he alights from the treeson's perch and surveys his grim work.
"Eh?" he says, too late to realize the significance of the crack he hears.
"Rifles.""I don't hear anything!""You would if you didn't keep that squawking rat around. It's probably given you lice."
"Beatrice does not have lice! Besides, she might be able to help us out sometime!"
"I hear the buzzing of flies."

"Tara, what-""Sorry, kid - humf!"

"You are still young, boy. The Ice Men are as deadly as the weapons they forge, and must be handled with equal care. We travel to them as a show of respect, nothing more."
"My lord, look!""I see it..."

"Go and scout ahead for game. Perhaps we may find a suitable gift for our eventual hosts, even in this bleak place!""At once, my lord!"

This is pretty cool. I envy you so much.
"Hyaa!"Helman jumps from atop his steed and slaps the warhorse's rump, sending it bucking skyward and galloping at the monster-
- but even a mighty horse bred by the house of Futuron is no match for the titanic creature! The horse's neck crunches and splinters as blood gushes forth, wetting the air...
Rolled 11 (1d12)>>39002564Squire: Blame Helman for everything

"Come on, then, you brute!" Helman shouts in response, steely nerves holding him still even as the monster thunders closer, when suddenly-"Eh?"
"Fear not, my lord!"
"Ah-huh-" the squire gasps, reeling for air as he braces his hands upon his quaking knees."Well done, man of Futuron-"
"Surely would I have fallen to that beast, were it not for your fearless action," Helman intones. "No more will you walk as lesser men..."
"Ever from this day shall you be known as Soarman. This I declare, as lord of Everhold and guardian of the house of Futuron!"
"This place gives me the shivers, Burr. Why couldn't we cross over land instead?""You idiot, they're looking everywhere for us. Trust me, once we cross beyond Futuron lands, we'll never have to watch over our shoulders again."
>>39002564Now we just have to kill or mutilate a bard somewhere
"What if a mermaid finds us?""There's no such thing as mermaids. Besides, even if there were, they'd take one look at you and never come up to the surface again."
"I don't like it, Burr.""Shut your trap, Sten. I'm sick of listening to you- wait."
"What's that noise, Burr? Is it pirates?""Worse."
"What do you want from us, Seatron? We are just passing through!"
Rolled 11 (1d12)"'What do we want?'" the Seatron bellows a mocking laugh as his fellow savages join in, raising their gleaming barbed hunting tools. "Raaah!"Language is no more within his means, for so enraged is the M-Tron that as he tears their escape craft from the waves he can do naught but bellow a terrifying roar!
"Ayiiii!" cries the Seatron as the mighty impact sends him hurtling through the air toward the depths beyond the ship graveyard!
>>39003867>>39003891>>39003899Shit just got real!

Wow, that was a pretty fantastic evening! I hope everybody else had fun! Game of Electroswords should resume in about 10 hours, either in this thread or a new one.
Rolled 7 (1d12)>>39003943Amazing!
Rolled 4 (1d12)>>39003970That was great, Lego Quest! Will we see any of these characters again? Or will this episode just be a whole lot of loosely related shorts?
>>39003970It's almost as confusing as any random episode of GoT would be for anyone who hasn't watched all of it. Wonderful! We still need to kill a bard or minstrel though.
>>39003970Thank you, Master Builder! I'm glad that the dice gods were with us and that Sten could tap that inner rage.
Quite a number of Easter eggs in this episode. Firstly, Legonauts will probably recognize all the animals in the credits >>38999197The swordfish made its first appearance way back in Spaceman's Quest, when they planned on going to Oasis.
>>39001898This creature first appeared in Deep Shaft 8. I guess there's a surface-dwelling variant. Just like its subterranean cousin, the eye is the weak point.
>>39003312These minifigs have Aquanauts torsos, but "Seatron" is a prototype line that the designer of the iconic Lego Space factions (Futuron, M-Tron, etc) created as an water-planet space faction. The line was eventually scrapped before production, but a lot of the sets and concepts were reworked and released as the Aquanauts line. This pdf has a lot of interesting information about the development and ideas behind the Space lines.
>>39003982>Will we see any of these characters again? Or will this episode just be a whole lot of loosely related shorts?Every one of the still-living characters will hopefully show up again tomorrow.>>39003972>>39003990>>39003996Thanks, anons! I hope everybody had fun!
>>39003943Another Easter egg I forgot to mention: Chad Studswell is also the executive producer of Master Shreepsman Quest.http://legoquest.wikia.com/wiki/Chad_Studswell

Waking up to catch up on Lego Quest is always a great thing to do.Thanks for the fun as always, LQ.
OK, I'm back! Just need to build some sets and write some stuff and then we'll be ready to start up again!

"Am I looking for something?" Amperius asks mildly."Yes, I am looking for something. A man.""A man?" the long-haired rogue laughs. "I saw my own wife killed before me," mutters the other as he relaxes his draw upon the bow, raising a creak as it settles. "I am Loran Wildren, and this is Dartwick Chambler."
"Come," Loran says, swinging from melancholy to mirth as he claps a hand upon Amperius's back and leads him from the alley. "We will buy you a drink."

>>39018482I certainly did, the stop motion intro was a fantastic touch I really wasn't expectingHere's to 5 years of Lego Questing!
>>39018536>the stop motion intro was a fantastic touch I really wasn't expectingYeah, I was really happy with that. It's always great when I get an idea for a game and can see it all the way to fruition exactly as I envision it. When I first had the idea for Red's game, I wasn't even sure the superhero head would work, and it wasn't until the first episode was going on that I knew everything else would work out as I was picturing it.I've had the microscale cities sitting around for more than a month; I disassembled them on Friday night. The gif for Sandspur was actually more than 9 mb - I had to pare it down to under 8 mb before 4chan would allow me to post it. I didn't realize this until the game had started, so I was hastily deleting individual frames that weren't vital and resaving the gif until I got it below the cutoff (it ended up being 7.99 mb).
>>39018482I sure had fun. It took me a bit to realize it, but I love that your anniversary game is a fantasy adventure in a space setting. Definitely capitalizing on your audience there.Could you talk about set-up and miscellaneous behind-the-scenes stuff over at LEGO General?
