It's Go Time Edition

Your name is Kazuya Narukami, and you are the best friend of a standard harem MC. A month ago, your party of thirteen defeated the Dark Lord Azazel and restored peace to the world.
Your ordinary lives have resumed, so your objective is now twofold. That is, resolving your bro's harem and supporting him to the very end!

Last time we...
>discussed resolving the harem with our bro.
>decided to convince our childhood friend Hatoko first
>told a white lie to Ayase the assassin
>attended Home Economics and used mushrooms
>met Tail Red, who is actually a guy.

The time is nearing two o’clock in the afternoon, and it’s the beginning of the afternoon classes. The midday period and lunch have both passed. When you and your bro headed down from the rooftop to the classroom, you swore you heard the familiar sound of rumors brewing. Honestly, what the hell was wrong with the female population of this academy? Did all of them have their yaoi goggles switched on all the time? You and your bro weren’t gay, no matter what the fangirls on Mumblr said. The latter had a bloody harem, for god’s sake. You’d think that would instantly quash the rumors of the fujoshis like a mighty hammer crushing a fragile apple, but no.

Okay, so maybe you got into hot springs with your bro, occasionally cooked for him, slept next to him on camping trips and just plain spent lots of time with him, but it was more brotherly affection, really. And nothing else. You liked girls. Girls whose most prominent features are…actually, you probably should be thinking about something else. Such as how Laura and Sachiko gave you suspicious glares the moment you entered the classroom. Those two were more alike than they cared to admit.

At least lunch went on without much incident. Everyone ate together, sitting underneath a tree in the courtyard. It was an average meal together, which of course meant the four girls tried their hardest to feed your bro. You’ve long since lost track of the number of times they’ve done that.

The period has been allocated for Computer Class. You, your bro and the four girls are packed in the computer labs of the academy, a room consisting row after row of bleeping, unfeeling desktop machines. Perhaps ‘class’ is the entirely wrong description for the situation you are currently in. Whether it be in the middle of a demonic invasion or a regular day in Megiddo City, Computer Classes are inherently gigantic wastes of time. This was good though, because it meant you had some time to relax before you got into the real meat of your day: dealing with Hatoko.

You decide to contact another member of the party…again. You seem to be doing that a lot these days. Not without good reason, of course. Girls are said to be dark and powerful creatures, whose inner workings are as mysterious as the backside of the moon. Or rather, that’s what the party hacker had said when the guy drunk himself silly and became severely unhinged. It was probably best not to think too hard about it.

Nevertheless, the remaining three aren’t virgins, and should therefore have some experience with women. Hopefully. You log onto a message client, trying to be noticed and hit the contacts menu. Who will you call?

You decide to hit up the party’s Not-So-Spoony Bard. And by Bard you mean a mullet-wearing, sitar-playing man in a black cloak. And by Not-So-Spoony, you mean a hedonist that could make the demon Belphegor seem outgoing and motivated by comparison.

The screen flickers to life as the voice chat goes through. You take a nearby set of headphones, borrowed straight from the classroom supplies, and plug them in. A nasally, slightly whiny voice assaults your eardrums. The bard is present, and he is talking to you.

“Kazuya?” the man says, yawning loudly. The visage of a standard Japanese apartment is behind him. You catch the glimpse of empty soda bottles and a hastily thrown aside quilt. Looks like the guy had been sleeping.

“Geez man, why’d you have to wake me up so early…” the man moans, rubbing his eyes. “I just got a chance for a good nap, too…”

You are talking to Myde, your party bard and the seventh member to join. Even after mastering water magic, assisting in defeating the final boss and potentially becoming one of the most famous people on Earth, he still acted like he always did: lazy and prone to bumming around the house. Guy had once been part of an elite mercenary unit called Organization XII, and had been stuck as the eternal butt monkey of the group. He had been sent to destroy your party back in the day, when you and your bro had been much weaker and inexperienced. Fortunately, Myde had also been rather inexperienced and got his ass kicked twice in a row.

As for the third time…Myde decided to finally get serious and use his full power against your party. Turns out he had been holding back the entire time, a trait that he would keep for the rest of the journey together. It was a harrowing and challenging battle that forced you and your bro to come up with strategies you would never have considered otherwise. But afterwards, Myde found himself defeated once again, and ultimately chose to tag along. This was partly because your bro had generously outstretched a hand a time, and partly because Organization XII would’ve executed Myde for the third failure running.

“Eh, sorry Myde.” You say, leaning closer a bit. “I just wanted to ask you about something.”

“Mm? Well, I suppose this thing wouldn’t be about songwriting or sitar-playing, would it?” Myde replies, almost hopefully.

“No.” You say bluntly.

“So much for that, then.” Myde shrugs his shoulders. “Meh, I’m not busy anyway. Ask away.”

“It’s about…women.” You answer, with utter seriousness.

“Women?” Myde raises an eyebrow. “That’s a weird thing for you to ask, Kazuya. But if it’s about that, I…guess I could answer your questions. Ask away.”

NAME: Myde
ROLE: Bard/Water Mage

[STATS]
Strength: C
Endurance: B
Agility: B
Magic Potential: A+
Luck: D-
Noble Phantasm: A

[ABILITIES]
Water Manipulation (A+): Myde is capable of manipulating water to his favour. He frequently uses to create large pillars of water to bash his foes. He is also capable of drowning opponents.
Bass Buffing (B): Myde pulls out his sitar and plays songs to increase the stats of his allies. Casting four times will raise said stats by two sub-ranks. He can increase strength, agility, endurance or magic potential.
Swimming (A): Myde is incapable of drowning. At all. He can hold his breath underwater for an unlimited amount of time.
Negotiation (B): Myde is surprisingly good at diplomacy and can talk his way out of a great deal of situations. It comes naturally to him, since he is a bard.

[NOBLE PHANTASM]
Melodious Nocturne: Myde summons a number of water clones, the maximum number of which is three hundred. A timer of precociously low duration then starts, and Myde’s opponents must defeat all clones within the time limit. If the timer runs out, the opponents will receive massive damage relative to the number of clones still alive. Secondly, during the countdown, Myde is capable of controlling individual water molecules in the world around him. This includes the water inside blood and flesh.

[FACTS]
-Considered to be the least terrifying member of the party. The truth is, in the final battle he had this really awesome confrontation against one of Azazel’s generals. But since Myde’s power is to manipulate water, all cameras in the vicinity got shorted out and most footage was lost…

You opt to cut straight to the point. Time is of essence here, and you need to utilize it well.

“Myde, bro and I have decided to start resolving his harem. We want all of them to share bro. Our first choice is our childhood friend Hatoko. Both of us have decided to go at her together, but I think we could use some advice. What should we do?”

Myde doesn’t say anything at first. “My first thought, about damn time.” He eventually speaks. “My second thought, are the two of you completely insane? We just got back from defeating the literal spawn of Satan and now you want to go ahead and try to accomplish something even crazier?” He takes a swig from a nearby glass, and you can see trickles of water dribbling into his open mouth. That was another trait of Myde; the dude was constantly thirsty. Walking through the desert had been hell for him. “Christ, I think I need to down one right this instant…”

“I was actually thinking that last night.” You reply. “But then I thought: if I could tame the madness inside Gray Soul, then I should be able to convince five clingy girls with superhuman powers. And, uh, could you not get drunk when we’re talking?”

“You may have a point there, Kazuya.” Myde gives a small grin pointing a finger towards you from his end. “Though I would argue that the five girls are way worse than any demented sword we came across. Still…why Hatoko first? I would’ve gotten Ayase out the way. Take out the hardest one first, and it’s a downhill slope from there…”

You laugh awkwardly. “Myde, I don’t think either of us would appreciate having our bottom halves sliced off.”

“Hm, true that. I suppose there is merit in doing the easy one at the start too.” Myde claps his hands and both of you sit up a little straighter. “Alright, I’ll see what I can do. First question. Have you talked to anyone else about this?”
>>
>>39035313
>Negotiation (B): Myde is surprisingly good at diplomacy and can talk his way out of a great deal of situations. It comes naturally to him, since he is a bard.

“Yeah, bro and I chatted to Souji at lunchtime.” You reply. “Souji said that we should find a way to let Hatoko down gently. We agree with him. Neither of us want to make her cry.”

“He’s right about that.” Myde considers, tapping his chin lightly. “However, I think you gotta be prepared for a worst case scenario. Girls don't usually consider sharing a man. What if Hatoko hates polygamy and explodes in your face? What if she runs off and hides and the two of you can't find her? What will you do then?”

You blink. That was something you hadn’t thought about. Before you could continue this train of logic, Myde keeps speaking.

“Also, have you thought about where to take her?”

“What do you mean?” You ask.

“The negotiation location can decide the difference between a success and a failure. Me point is that you should take Hatoko where she feels calm and relaxed. It might make convincing her a little easier.”

Damn, you forgot how skilled your bard was. He’s right. You haven’t decided on a location yet. Where should the three of you go?

“How about the park where the three of us met for the first time?” You suggest, grinning. “Hatoko will feel more relaxed there, right?”

“That’s place has got sentimental value, if I remember correctly?” Myde asks. He thinks for a bit, the diplomatic cogs into his head spinning like the wheels in a network of mice-driven treadmills. “Yeah, yeah, I see where you’re coming at. If it’s familiar, then she’ll feel at ease. Even so…you and Tatsuya should be careful. You don’t want to fuck up and leave a terrible impression on her. You definitely do not want Hatoko to associate the park with memories of her own sorrow.”

That’s another good point. But, you weren’t stupid. Besides, your bro was going to be with you. The two of you could let Hatoko down and open her eyes to your bro’s perspective. It wasn’t impossible. It could be done. You were going to have a nice talk with your childhood friend, make her see your point of view and then everything would be sunshine and flowers forever.

You heart nudges you to keep telling yourself that.

“That’s some good advice.” You say. “Thanks, Myde. We’ll take this into account.”

“Ya, whatever.” Myde dismisses the notion with a wave of his hand. “I would say good luck, but my luck is complete dogshite. Instead, just try not to get killed, okay?”

With that, he logs off.

Time ticks downward, like death steadily creeping towards a group gathered around a bomb. You are growing more and more nervous. A group of caterpillars have gathered in your stomach, and are well on their way to entering their cocoons and eventually metamorphosing into full-fledged butterflies. You spent the rest of Computer Class browsing the Internet and playing stupid flash games online. Then it’s time for the period after that, and then the final class of the day. Your focus wanes. You drum your fingers on the tabletop, fiddle with your pens and barely listen to the words of your teachers.

The last time you felt like this was before the fight against Azazel, his general and his children, when you and the rest of the party weren’t sure if you would all succeed or wind up horribly murdered. In some ways, the consequences of losing this fight would be much more severe than death.

The final bell rings. Students rush out of their classrooms. Your bro grabs you, makes some bullshit excuse to your friends about having to go to the library for research, and drags you to an empty part of the schoolyard.

“You feeling okay?” He gasps.

“What about you?” You counter, not really wanting to answer his question.

“Tense. Nervous. Lots of other stuff. You, then?”

You take a deep breath. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. It’s a calming effect apparently, but right now it doesn’t seem to be doing much.

“I think I might be freaking out over here.” You reply, staring at your bro dead in the eyes. His expression is one of tension and uneasiness—though, it’s probably a lot worse for him. If you screw up, you lose one of your greatest friends. That’s terrible. But if your bro screws up, he loses a women he loves. You straighten up. “Still, we’ve got no choice eh? No point in putting this off any longer. It’s time to face the music.”

Your bro nods. “Yeah, I get you Kazuya. I don’t want to delay this for any longer. I’m just trying not to think about the consequences of failure. What happens if Hatoko gets mad and starts crying? What if she severs our bonds forever?”

You clap him on the shoulder, for both him and you. “It’ll be cool. Hatoko is a good girl. She’ll understand us. She always has, remember?”

Your bro sighs. “I guess so. Even so…”

With your hearts heavy, the two of you head slowly towards the front gate. Both of you hide behind the side of a building, and survey the area. Hatoko is standing at the gate, waiting for the two of you. Kurumi, Laura and Sachiko are all mysteriously absent. It appears that they’ve taken your bait and have headed home by themselves. The three of them have extracurricular stuff to do, after all. To make sure, both of you wait for a while, but they do not show up. Seems like the coast is clear.

Occasionally, a student comes up to Hatoko to gush about how accomplished and awesome she is, but other than that she is left to her own devices.

How will you approach her?

Nerves bristling, the two of you walk up to her. She notices the two of you instantly, and seems happy, yet surprised.

“Ta-kun? Kazuya?” She says, smiling. “You two are early. Did you get everything done at the library already?”

“Ah yeah…about that…” Your bro says nervously, rubbing the back of his head. “We actually found out that we didn’t need to go to the library after all. Turns out Kazuya remembered that he had a copy of the book at home. Funny, huh?” He laughs, trying to ease off the tension. It doesn’t seem to be working.

“That’s no good, Ta-kun! You can’t do something like that.” Hatoko cries, wagging a finger in front of your best friend’s face. “Just because we saved the world, doesn’t mean we can be irresponsible. We have to study well, too, just like everyone else.”

“Well yeah, I know that…” Your bro says bashfully, looking faintly embarrassed. “Um, sorry Hatoko…”

Hatoko pouts instead. “Mou…you should’ve called me. I could’ve helped you with whatever work you needed…”

“Eh, I don’t think that’s going to be necessary.” You pipe in. “Say Hatoko, you mind if we go somewhere together, the three of us?”

“Together?” Hatoko queries. “Umm…I don’t mind. But how come?”

“It’s just been a while.” You say, and that isn’t technically false. “How about we go to the old park? You know, the one we visited as kids? We can chat and talk about stuff there.”

Hatoko thinks about this for a moment, and then she gives you a radiant smile. “Okay! Let’s go!”

WHY DO THIS
SHE WILL REFUSE
THE PARK LOST TO US FOREVER
>>
It is at that moment you feel terrible. You are withholding the truth from her, refusing to tell her the full picture. In a sense, it is like lying directly to her face. Hatoko is happy and content, like she usually is. At this moment in time, she is naiive. Years and years of hanging out with her have made their mark, and you can tell what she’s thinking. And you have full knowledge that what you and your bro are about to unleash upon her is absolutely nothing like her thoughts.

The three of you exit the school gate and head down the path towards the Arisato Park—the area where you all played together as kids. Hatoko doesn’t appear to have noticed the hard lump residing in your belly, nor the way your bro is acting like he is faced with a bowl of Tokisaki’s finest cuisine. You three pass by streetlights, pedestrians and cars. The post-school streets are chock full of people as always.

You decide to lighten the mood. Depending on what you say, this could either be a good way to introduce Hatoko to the minutes of shock and sudden revelations you were about to unleash on her, like a tidal wave. Or it would be lifting her up for a bone-shattering fall later on. Nevertheless, you go through with your words.

“Say, where do you guys see yourself in five years time?” You begin.

Neither of your friends are expecting this. But it is a question you asked yourself a lot, when you had been in hospital and unable to move around much. Without a world to save, what was a party of thirteen heroes to do? Well, you went back to school for starters, but that was only a short-term event. How could your immense strength and sword-fighting skills be used in an ordinary, modern world?

It is something you could have to consider when you grew up.

“I have no idea?” Your bro admits, shrugging his shoulders. “I mean, everyone calls me a world-saving hero. I don’t they could imagine me getting a degree and working a nine to five office job or anything.”

“I don’t really know either…” Hatoko says. “Everyone’s been so busy after the war, we haven’t gotten a chance to sit down and think. Still…I would like to teach magic one day.”

“Hey, that’s not a bad idea.” You say. Hatoko did possess a wide range of elemental powers, and wasn’t as snobby or arrogant as other organizations. Plus, she had the motherly and gentle disposition suited for a teacher. “I think you would do good, Hatoko.”

“Really?” Hatoko gives you another smile. “Aw, thanks Kazuya-kun.”

“And if worst comes to worst.” Your bro chimes. “We could always sell out. Still, let’s work our hardest so that we never reach that point.”

You and Hatoko nod with vigor. You’ve seen the Koshimizu Corporation’s associates, and you fear that talking to them for more than five seconds would cause you to contract a disease. A disease that increases your greed and sucks all the life out of you, leaving you as an emotionless husk subsisting on money.

You arrive at the park with your friends. It hasn’t changed much. The swing set is still there, along with the climbing frame and the see saw. It is deserted. Nostalgia instantly floods your mind. The three of you spent many happy days here, running and jumping and plain mucking around until the sun went down. Your bro would lead, and you and Hatoko would follow with vigor. Games had been played here, simple ones such as tag or hide and seek. Occasionally Ayase would come to visit, and the three of you would drag her here.

Hopefully today would still be a happy day, and not one filled with a gut-wrenching punches of despair.

You and your bro look at each other. It’s go time. What will you do?

“Come on,” You say, “Let’s walk for a bit.”

And that’s what the three of you do. You tread cobblestones as you move around the main park sidewalk, past rows of trees and patches of freshly cut grass. Despite it being in the middle of a busy city, the Arisato Park still smelled as good as ever. Such examples were part of history, you remember. When magic resurfaced in the world, the governments of various countries suddenly found they had to respect the environment a lot more, as it was a major source of various supernatural powers. Around the early stages of the twentieth century, magicians rose into the sky to cleanse the toxins from the air. The world was a lot better for it.

What would the Earth be like without magic? Probably a terrible place. You wouldn’t know, either way.

“Ta-kun, Kazuya-kun, do you mind if we stop for a moment?” Hatoko says. “I want to enjoy this view for a bit longer.”

“Pardon?” You glance at her, a bit confused. Then you noticed her gaze shifting towards a flower garden. “Oh, uh, sure. Go ahead.”

The three of you take a seat on a nearby park bench. A cool breeze blows, billowing against Hatoko’s single braid. You gulp, and look at your bro. He’s looking down at the ground, his hands clasped, and seems to be preparing for something.

Silence. A moment passes, then another.

You and your bro glance at each other again, and then nod. Soon Hatoko will probably want to go home, and then she’ll be lost for the day.

It seems the time of decision has come.

What will you say?

>“Hey Hatoko, what do you feel about bro?”

This is it. Make or break time. Either the plan works, or a friendship is lost forever. You pat your stomach to quell the maelstrom of raging butterflies inside. You gulp once, twice and let out a deep breath. Your muscles are tensing up, tight as iron hands.

You turn to Hatoko, serious.

“Hatoko…we need to talk.” You say.

“Talk?” Your friend replies, still smiling. It makes you grit your teeth a little. “Did something happen, Kazuya-kun?”

“Well, yeah,” Your bro continues. “It’s what Kazuya and I talked about in the library. It’s something important.”

“Something important?” Hatoko repeats. She tilts her head, trying to find out what it could be. “Is it about homework?”

“Uh, not really.” You say.

“Is it about all the contracts those men in suits tried to get us to sign?” Hatoko keeps guessing. You could see how that would be considered to be important, but that’s not it.

“No Hatoko.” Your bro says, shaking his head. “That’s not what we’re talking about here.”

“Oh, I know!” Hatoko suddenly jumps up, grinning brightly. “Is it about trying to find—”

“Hatoko, I don’t know what you’re about to say but it probably isn’t what we’re trying to tell you.” You say, your voice higher. Hatoko slumps down, dejected. “Look, just listen alright? Calm down and listen.”

“Bro has something important to tell you. It’s kinda private, and he’s only talked about it with me.” You continue, gesturing with your hands. “It also concerns you as well. Look, can you hear him out, and promise not to get mad?”

Hatoko looks simply confused. “Uh, I guess so? I can’t imagine what it would be, though.” She looks at your bro. “Ta-kun, is there something you’re keeping a secret? You can tell me though! I’ll definitely listen.”

“Okay, that’s good.” You stand up from the bench. “Listen guys, I’m going to, uh, get some drinks for the both of us. There’s a vending machine nearby, right? I’ll be right back.”

Before either of them can say anything else, you leave, heading towards the east. It’s true that you’re getting drinks for your friends. But that’s not the only reason you’ve stood up. Another important detail has just crossed your mind. You need to check if any of the other harem members are watching. You assumed everything was fine back at school, but you wouldn’t put it past them to come looking for your bro.

Ayase, in particular. The girl had A-ranked Presence Concealment and the tendency to hide herself in large crowds. If she made herself hidden, there was no way you would be able to find her.

You head over to a row of vending machines near a lamppost, and select the drinks you want. Orange, lemon-line and raspberry all fall down from the metal interior. You pick up the cans and shove them into your schoolbag. Then you focus your senses and look around.

The area is devoid of people. A flock of birds chirp and fly sky high. The wind whistles. You cannot see anybody, but that doesn’t mean anything. Kurumi, Laura and Ayase are all skilled at stealth. They could be lurking anywhere. Sachiko, not so much. She would be the type to barge in with all the subtlety of a charging bull.

Maybe you’re being paranoid. But you can’t help it. This is important. Very important. You have to make sure this endeavour succeeds!
You decide to look for a hiding place, where you can check on your bro and Hatoko. So, where is it?

Quietly, you tread onto the grass. It’s a good thing Gray Soul isn’t out at the moment, or this would get ten times more awkward and difficult. A tree overlooks the spot where your bro and Hatoko are talking. That is your target. You creep over there and wrap your muscular arms around the trunk. Then you use your strength to shimmy yourself up to its outstretched branches.

There is probably a sexual innuendo that could be applied here, and you don’t want to know what it is.

You are now perched among the leaves, looking downwards. From here, you have a prime bird’s eye view over the whole situation. Your bro seems to be in the middle of beginning his speech. He’s fidgeting a lot. This is a guy who slayed a Dark Lord, and is now having trouble telling news to a girl he loves. Though ultimately, you can sympathize with him.

You look closer, and now you see your bro working up the courage.

“Hatoko, I’ve got something I need to tell you.” He says. “Look, I’ve come to realize this. You know how you, Kurumi, Laura, Sachiko and Ayase keep fighting over me for reasons I don’t understand?”

“Yes, what about it? Um, Ta-kun, do you realize why we keep fighting over you?” Hatoko questions. You know that she’s preparing for another let down. Where your bro makes a dumb comment that deflects the whole situation away.

“Actually, I do.” Your bro says, quietly. “Last week, when I had that fight with Kazuya…we talked about a lot of things. I mean, part of it was about my mom and dad, but it was also about you guys.”

“Us?” Hatoko asks, “Ta-kun, what do you mean?”

“You and the other girls in the party. Hatoko, please understand. Please don’t get mad at me for what I’m about to tell you. I’m saying this with the sincerity of my heart.” Your bro takes a deep breath. “Hatoko. I’ve come to realize that I have a harem. And I think it would be best for you and the other four girls to share with me.”

Hatoko doesn’t say anything. You can’t see their facial expressions from here. Is she shocked? Or accepting? Or angry? You have no way of knowing. What your bro said might’ve been too strong for the start, but there may be merit in cutting directly to the point.

You continue to watch, and look out for any signs of trouble. Nothing at the moment.

Your bro keeps on speaking. “Sorry, it’s probably a big shock for you. I mean, you and the others have been fighting over me for a pretty long time. I’ve been aware about it, but I’ve just haven’t had a good chance to come out with the truth.”

Hatoko still remains silent.

“But I’m kinda glad that you’re here, Hatoko. I wanted to talk to you first because you’re really kind and considerate, and I think you’ll—”

And that is when Hatoko speaks. Her voice is sharp as a knife, and twice as deadly.

“Ta-kun, what are you saying?”

Hatoko’s voice rises. “What do you mean, sharing between the other girls? What is that supposed to mean?” she cries.

“Well, I mean that since all of you like me equally, I think that you should all—”

“I don’t understand you, Ta-kun!” Hatoko shrieks. “You say you’ve known about our feelings all this time? Why didn’t you tell us about it? We’ve fought tooth and nail for your affections, and now you’re telling me you’ve knew the entire time? Did you enjoy keeping us all in the dark? Why?”

“Hatoko, that’s not what I’m saying at all!” Your bro shouts. “Look, please listen to me. I really do—”

“And this sharing! That’s…that’s…that’s not I want at all! That’s not what any of us wanted. We wanted to be with you, but now you’re suggesting that we all share you together. It doesn’t make sense for you to say that! I don’t understand, Ta-kun! I don’t understand!”

Fuck, fuck. This is NOT going well.

You need to get down there NOW. Turning around, you prepare yourself to climb down the tree. Hatoko is crying, and you can hear it. It’s painful, like a dozen of Ayase’s daggers striking through your heart at once. She’s jumping to conclusions, your friend is. But can you really blame her? You’ve known how long Hatoko’s crush lasted. Ever since middle school, when she had been thirteen years old. You’ve sense her feelings across the journey with the party. You understand why she’s reacting this way. For your bro to suddenly mention the notion of sharing to her pining heart…no doubt she would explode in such a manner.

But that’s why you’re here. To give your bro support. If you can reach her in time and tell her what exactly went down in Ouroboros Soul, she’ll possibly calm down.

And that’s when everything goes to shit.

A mighty gale erupts in the vicinity, originating directly from Hatoko’s body. She is well and truly angry now. You, not expecting it, are thrown back with a terrible force, and slam your back against a brick wall. It doesn’t hurt, physically. But you are now a good distance away from Hatoko, and she’s still crying.

“Ta-kun, just what were we to you? What am I to you?”

Your bro is trying to push against the wind. It isn’t working. The green aura surrounds Hatoko, her sobbing face visible from within the miniature typhoon.

“I pursued you for years! I gave my all in trying to make you love me. And now, now you’re saying I should give up and surrender to the others?”

“Hatoko, listen to me!” Your bro shouts, his voice muffled against the winds.

“Am I…am I just a toy for you to play with? For you to caress and pretend to love, then chucked aside when I am no longer of use? Is that what I am to you, Tatsuya Aragaki?” Hatoko screams your bro’s name, and the wind grows stronger than ever.

“That isn’t what I’m getting to at all!” Your bro roars. “Stop it, Hatoko! Calm down and let me explain!”

“I…I…” Hatoko sniffles and sobs. “Why do you want Kurumi and the others do share with me? Do you want them more? Do you think that they’re superior to me? Did you include me as an afterthought? That’s why you came after me first, right? So you could get the boring girl out of the way?”

Purple fire covers your bro’s limbs. He grits his teeth. “LISTEN TO ME, HATOKO!” He charges into the maelstrom of wind, lunging for Hatoko.

He grasps her hand. She shrieks and snaps it back, knocking him aside.

“Don’t touch me!” she screams.

The wind, no—the tornado explodes outwards like a miniature bomb. A mass of air displacement slams into you and your bro, sending you flying across the park landscape like bricks in an exploding warehouse. You land in a bush, and your bro slams against a lamp. This time, it hurts. Hatoko’s power is on display here, the terrifying might of her wind elemental magic.

But what hurts the most is your heart.

When the air grows still, you groggily climb to your feet. The park has been ruined. Miniature walls have been torn down, vending machines have been strewn across the place and trees have been uprooted. Leaves are scattered across the broken pavement, the lake has had its water flung around and a lampposts have been struck clean through trees.

And Hatoko is gone.

You have failed.

Was there a way it could've worked out? Or were we doomed from the start?

TT, your selection of Hotline Miami tracks concerns me.

Do any of the girls genuinely enjoy hurting other people??

Obviously Courier Six aka best girl
>>
Honnestly, that didn't go badly, as far as anime confessions go

Her pride got a pretty heavy blow. Now what is needed to do is to go after her, find her (on a rooftop or somethin) and then help her realize that the bro loves her. Probably during a dramatic fight in the rain

Kurumi seems like a sadist. Maybe Laura. DEFINITELY Ayase.

Holy shit this thread ain't dead. Okay then, it's time to answer some questions!

That the anons of $chan have no idea who Syoko should hook up with.

>>39041305
Because they can't.

>>39041545
Nah.

>>39041972
That's...not what I had in mind when I wrote those $chan logs. I will take it into consideration though. Although, considering a future plot point I have in mind, it doesn't really make sense for Ayase to hate all demons.

You can only load a save if Kazuya dies. Otherwise, you will have to live with the consequences of your decisions. This is still kinda liquid, though.

Through leadership and guts.

Kurumi and Ayase: yes. Laura will kill, but she will do so with cold efficiency.
Also Run is fucking awesome what are you talking about.

Any more?

>>39044068

>>
>>39044085
I'm guessing there's Spirals in his eyes.
>>
>>39044085
So what are Kazuya interests?

Where do Tail Red and Courier Six place in the most terrifying party members poll?

Can't say it went smoothly. Where is the power of Friendship when you need it ?
