Alright, let's get started.

Looking through the cameras, we found images of the truck being used to steal the roller, and while the people involved were wearing sky masks, one of them was attacked and spilt some blood on the floor.

We found that blood, and identified it as the blood of the truck owner, who reported the truck as stolen.

'Hot showers are amazing' -Elliezabella was enjoying a morning shower with Cedric after their morning jog

She liked it slightly colder than Cedric, but he did not seem to mind. He was fine as long as it was warm, anyway.

As he hugged and kissed her under the warm water spray, she got to her tiptoes with a smile.

The modern world was amazing. It was cleaner, safer, and much friendlier than the savage sword & sorcery world she grew up in, with much more casual "dangers". In her opinion anyway.

"We have to hurry and go to work" -she whined softly as he kept kissing her.
"Ah, we can kiss a little more" -he said
"You made us late yesterday just like this!"
"We did a lot more yesterday, however. Would you like a reminder?" -he said as he gently spun her around to hug her from behind, cupping her soft breast as he kisses her neck
"Cedric! w-we are going to be late! tonight, alright?"
"Alright" -he gave her another kiss, and helped her out of the shower

A few minutes later, they were already wearing their uniforms as they rode his pickup to the station.

She was sitting with her seatbelt properly across on the elevated seat. Her window was just slightly open at the top, letting a sliver of cold air into the truck.

Well, she certainly seemed to be stronger against cold than he was.

A few hours later, they have helped a kid find his parents, calmed down an argument at a mall, and are having a break for coffee while Cedric thinks and looks at Ellie sipping her cappuccino while her ears wiggle softly with every drink.

She could tell he was deep in thought about something, so she quietly stared out the window while enjoying her beverage.

Indeed, it was warmer now. The sun came out beautifully behind the clouds, sometimes melting some of the snow but never quiet taking it all away before a fresh layer had time to fall again.

This world was fun to watch. Cedric complained from time to time about pedestrians throwing garbage on the floor, but the city streets were basically spotless compared to those of the small cities and towns she had seen before.

As he excused himself to go make a call, she nodded and started nibbling on her sandwich. White bread, so soft and spongy, with "chicken" and vegetables... the food was so nice, too. She did not like using condiments except pepper, but so far only a few food places had carried it.

It felt really luxurious, biting into such a meal.

A few of the patrons did a double take on her, but she knew they were the type that was just passing by. Cedric liked this place well enough that the staff and regular patrons had already gotten used to her.

She turns the radio on and calls to the station. It takes a bit, but since the animal is technically following all the rules and it is properly registered, its not really a problem unless it is causing a public disturbance.

The roller seems quite excited to sink its muzzle on what snow remains, as well as people's butts, but that doesn't seems too different from a regular, large dog.

After a few minutes, Ellie points out that it seems to be tracking something.

Approaching the owner, you hear that there is a missing elf child. The parents did not contact the police because they are used to being self reliant, and the dad is using the roller to look for it.

"Well, you should have called anyway.... Ellie, do we need a description? most children stay within the elven district, right?"
"Right" -she says nodding softly
"Still, please give us some basic information. Age, name, and such. When did the boy disappear?"

Once they have the child's data, they call the central and report it in.

The child does not appear that day, and the small city comes together to help search for it in the surrounding woodland.

Of course, the police is worried about kidnapping, or worse.

"The child can't be in town. We would have found it with these many trackers" -says Ellie

Its hard to know if she means all the people looking for it, or her tribe's actual hunters, but her tracking spell is also useless, despite the boy's mother having a bit of his hair to make it work.

The kid had gone to play in the park with his friends, but only they came back.

Elves seem to have excellent cold endurance so the parents werent specially worried about night time, but when he missed dinner, his father went out to search for him.

Of course, he already searched the park, and now with everyone's help, they have searched the surrounding lands.

The tracking spells show nothing, but it has a range of just a couple of miles, and thick enough walls can block it as well

After a while, one of the tracking spells has something, albeit only for a few moments.

If the boy is inside one of the buildings, we can find him after a thorough search, but if the sewers, flowing with melted snow, drag him away, we may never see him again, so we decide to go that way first.

As soon as we open the metal lid, all the tracker spells point at the manhole, so the firefighters and officers hurry down stairs.

Following Ellie's tracking spell, we quickly find the boy, barely alive, and unconscious. We quickly rescue him and rush him to the hospital, while everyone finally allows themselves to feel tired after the 36 hours-long search.

"Ah... I'm somehow happy it wasn't a kidnapping." -says Cedric as he sits back on the patrol's seat
"Does that happen much?" .asks Ellie
"Not on this town, but it happens"
"That is quite scary... Cedric?"
"Yes?"
"Give me a bit of your hair?"
"What for?"
"So I can find you if you get kidnapped" -she says, quite serious
