Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you watched a friend make a fool of himself, went home with a filthy humie, and paralyzed a mugger.

It is currently the 8th of Svarthi, in the year 936 NH.

You extract a stoppered vial of ink from your cloak, pulling out the cork that seals its contents and using water magic to draw forth the ink. Whilst lovingly detailing a variety of dicks you've drawn on the mugger's face, you turn your attention to Annette, who watches the events unfolding with a mixture of amusement, confusion, and the vestiges of shock and adrenaline. “So, what do you want to do with the man? I could dispose of him cleanly, or we might haul him off to the guards. Might your father stand to gain from bringing charges against these...”

The name escapes you, but Annette provides it for you. “Van Wieren. If we could prove that this man was theirs, and judging based on his garb he must be, then we could bring charges against their family for the attempted assassination of a rival and seize their assets as compensation.” You can practically see the wheels turning in her head. In an instant she's rummaging through the would be assassin's pockets and the inside of his coat. It's from the later that she retrieves a letter.

The seal has already been broken, so she need only unfold it. She scans the page once, and then a second time. Your curiosity gets the better of you. “What's it say?”

She jumps, head snapping up to look at you. Clearing her throat, she speaks cautiously. “A letter detailing my address, a rather unflattering sketch of my face, and my general dress. It also describes the method by which I was to be... removed. It's written on Van Wieren letter head.” She glances from you to the paralyzed man on the ground. “I'm beginning to think this may all be too convenient. The patch, the letter... this all just seems too easy.”

You suppose that's fair. You're not wholly unfamiliar with the business of an assassin and it does seem odd to send a uniformed retainer wit ha distinctive facial scar and a letter written on your own letter head describing the target of said assassination with explicit directions to kill them. “What is it that your people say? Never check a guar's teeth or something of that nature? I would advise that you accept the gift you've been offered without looking into things too deeply. That said, it's still up to you what we do with the man.”

She nods her head slowly, staring at the man's face intently for a moment. “Tomorrow morning he will need to be delivered to me father's office near the market, and I will need to write a few letters. Tomorrow morning. Do you happen to have any rope?”

You do, and you spend some time maneuvering the assassin's arms and legs into position to bind them all together, leaving him tied up with his back twisted uncomfortably. You stuff a rag into his mouth to keep him silent, then you and Annette work together to carry him back to her home. Her home, incidentally, is a well constructed two story townhouse. It's made of pale granite, vines crawling across the front of the building. She unlocks the door with a key she kept in a coin purse, pausing to wipe sweat from her brow. “Would you mind coming inside? I don't know if I can maneuver this lout into the cellar without help.”

You bow low, flourishing one hand dramatically. “I would be honored, Annette.” You stand straight, grabbing the paralyzed assassin by his feet and lifting while Annette grabs his legs. The two of you manage to get the man through the doorway and, after some difficulty, toss him into the cellar. While straightening your clothes, you ask a question which has been bothering you. “What is your family name, incidentally?”

(2/5)
>>
Annette seems to be in the midst of pulling up her dress, which had shifted slightly in the process of throwing that guy down the cellar stairs. “De Sauveterre. My mother and father are Aleamondian by birth, though I've lived in Anthus my entire life.”

An uncomfortable silence descends on the room. You're so close, so close to getting this woman into bed. To be honest, you've never actually had to handle this part of the process. Your past experiences have been with prostitutes and there was no ambiguity involved there. Fortunately, Annette breaks the silence. “So, Mikhael. I quite appreciate what you've done for me. I'll be sure to put in a good word with my father, in my letters.”

You suppose that's good but it's not really what you're most interested in at the moment. “That's good to hear. Actually, I'll tell you what. My family is in the process of building a fleet. If your father has any contacts to secure lumber and other such materials, my father would pay him handsomely. Tell him to seek out the home of Emir Sankar in El-Amin.”

Silence. Gods above, you really feel like you're dropping the ball here. You can't really just ask her to have sex, that would be too crass, surely! You need to say something. “You know, I've never actually been inside a house in Anthus. I've been inside the academy, sure. Never an actual lived in house though. Would you mind giving me a tour?” You can't help but think that sounds like a flimsy excuse to get her into the bedroom, but fortunately it works.
(3/5)
>>
She leads you through the parlor, the dining room, and sitting area. You'd already seen the kitchen, where the cellar entrance lies. Then it's up the stairs, and immediately into the expansive master suite. It seems to dominate the second floor. You find that her bedroom is decorated with all number of strange and seemingly useless objects. Her bed is covered in stuffed, infantile depictions of what you presume are animals, though you've never seen most of them. Books seem to be crammed everywhere, they pile up in the corners like dust. You have to pick your way around them to get anywhere. Clothes lie discarded all over the floor. Simply put, it's a mess.

She clears her throat uncomfortably, standing next to you with one arm in yours. “I would have cleaned up had I known I would have a guest.”

Okay, you're starting to lose your patience with this nonsense. You're just going for it. Crouching, you scoop her up in your arms before ducking through the doorway. She's surprisingly light, actually. You're not even all that strong. She cries out in surprise and slaps your chest nervously, not quite sure what to make of the situation. “Stop it, Mikhael. This isn't appropriate.”

You drop her on her bed, beginning to unlace your vest. “Nonsense, this is perfectly natural. Besides that do you really want to give some old fat trader the honor? It's your last night as a free woman, live a little.”

She seems to weigh your proposal for a time. Ultimately, she starts to wriggle out of her dress. You find that she's wearing some sort of binding around her breast, hooked at the back. You had thought her bust small, but in truth she has rather ample breast. She bites her bottom lip as you run your hands along the pale skin of her abdomen, stopping grope her breast. To flick one of her rapidly stiffening nipples. You can't help but find the color odd. Pink, of all things. Why wouldn't they be pale like the rest of her? An oddity of humans, you suppose.

(4/5)
>>
Having momentarily satisfied your curiosity you help her the rest of the way out of her dress, then assist her in shedding her strange undergarments. Some sort of comically poofy short pant. With those out of the way the only thing keeping you from your prize are her crossed legs, she seems rather loathe to part them.

You take a moment to kick your boots across the room and shed your own shirt and pants. You weren't wearing anything beneath to begin with. Approaching her once more you grab hold of her knees, spreading apart her legs. At the sight of you, she turns a shade of red you didn't really think a human could turn. “By the Gods, there's no way...”

You wave a hand dismissively. “You'd be surprised what proper care and magic can accomplish.” You take the opportunity afforded to you by her momentary surprise to spread her legs wider, getting to your knees on the floor at the edge of the bed and pulling her towards you.

She squeaks nervously in surprise. “What are you doing? This isn't what I read about in my books!”

You don't bother to respond, instead merely pressing your face into her crotch. Her cries of protest quickly turn into cries of quite a different nature, and when the time comes you find that you're able to slide into her with surprising ease.

You awake the next morning with a foul headache, your stomach churning. You find yourself momentarily at a loss as to where you are, the bed you lie in as unfamiliar as the stuffed animal replicas which surround you. It's only when your companion nuzzles her head sleepily into your chest that you recall the events of the night before. Then the guilt strikes.

Dear Pani, forgive you. You've had relations with a human. What sort of degenerate filth have you become?

You take a few deep breaths, trying to calm yourself down. It's okay, it's not a big deal. It helped you secure a profitable business deal, after all. Not to mention it was fun. Even more so the second time around. This is fine. Your master has done it a number of times, and he's not some sort of filthy degenerate. You'll be fine. Besides, nobody is ever going to know. None of your people witnessed the act. Nobody can prove anything. Everything is fine.

You're starting to feel a little better about the events of the night previous by the time Annette stirs awake. She rolls herself off of you, staring up at ceiling of her bed frame for a moment. She seems to be in a state of shock similar to the one you found yourself in when you first woke up. After an indeterminate amount of time she pushers herself to a sitting position, turning herself to face you. “Where did you learn to do that thing with your tongue?”

You feel yourself once more on the cusp of tossing up whatever the contents of your stomach consist of, but fight back the urge. “Youthful misadventures, mostly.”

She nods her head slowly, sliding out from beneath the covers and picking her way across the cluttered floor of her room to a dresser. She bends over, affording you a view many would envy you for. When she stands straight she holds in her hands a silken nightgown, which she hurriedly pulls over her head and smooths down to cover herself.

You figure you ought to get dressed as well, sliding out from beneath the covers. Annette turns that same shade of red again, pointedly looking away while you pull on your pants and search the room for your shirt. Eventually she blurts out. “I'm going to go make coffee.” Before hurrying out of the room.

There was talk of a timeskip post pav'ala.

While we do a bit of studyin and gittin gud before we hit Elaudia. Also got the unbanishment and "buisness" to take care of when we get back.

Cause the Water dsalination plant should be up and running by then, so should Siege!

You dress yourself more comfortably, now that you don't have an audience. It takes you some time to find your various articles of discarded clothing but eventually you get everything collected, pull yourself into something resembling respectability, and head downstairs.

Annette is waiting for you with a cup of coffee clutched in her hands. “Do you want any?” She ask, holding up the cup by way of explanation.

Shaking your head, you decline. “No, that's fine. I should really be getting back to the Academy. I had a letter that I was expecting.” You glance past her, into the kitchen. The cellar door remains locked, and you can't hear anyone screaming from down below. “Will you need any help with our would be assassin?”

She shakes her head. “No, I'll send a message and have my father's men come pick him up. Once I've made myself presentable.”

You nod, and with that slip out the door. You suppose it's not much of a good bye but you really needed to get out of there. Even if you're starting to think what you did wasn't necessarily wrong, it's still really messing with your head. Fortunately the chill morning air sobers you, and for the moment at least you focus on the task at hand. You need to pick up your promissory note from the Academy of Anthus, exchange both it and the one you received from Demetrios for cash, and then set course for Khmedi.

You set your sights on the dome of the Academy. You can't be more than a few minutes walk away. By the time you reach the Academy gates, the events of this morning are more or less behind you. Banging a single human isn't worth stressing over, and besides that it's not likely you'll ever see her again. It might as well have never happened.

You're not bothered by the guards at the gate, evidently they recognize you. The grounds are unusually empty of students at this hour, save for a few scattered about either meditating or reading. You must have actually woken up fairly early, as the sun is only just now beginning to banish the morning fog as it rolls off the sea.

You have to throw your shoulder into the massive wooden door that serves as the entrance to the Academy foyer, but you manage it without utterly embarrassing yourself. Your footsteps echo loudly in the cavernous entry hall as you cross the room, focused on the information desk at the other end of the room where a young Elven man sits sorting through files, a smoking pipe hanging from between his lips.

He sets aside the documents as you approach, smiling to you warmly. “Here about the letter in the mail, Master Mikhael?” You simply nod, and the boy retrieves a sealed envelope from one of the various piles. “Here you are sir, will that be all?”

You break the seal and open the envelope, pulling out a promissory note to be paid to one Mikhael, Vatis for the sum of two hundred thirteen gold. That's a tidy sum, three thousand one hundred ninety five silver if your quick mental arithmetic is correct. You only made a few hundred more from your share of Siege! profits. Tucking the note back into the envelope, you drop both into your cloak and turn your attention back to the desk attendent.

“Actually, I was wondering about a student. You see, I rescued a certain Shahzadi Aqila El-Amin some time ago from a troupe of bandits and I was wondering how she's been doing since.”

The desk attendant pulls his pipe out of his mouth, pointing the bit at you. “As a staff member of the Academy of Anthus, I can't reveal information on a student to anyone without their express permission.” He waits a beat. “However, as a friend of Aqila's I can say I've heard a lot about you and she's doing fine. She's adjusting well to life in Anthus and has actually turned out to be something of a social butterfly. She's studying Nature magic, primarily.”

Huh, you hadn't really pegged her as the sort to study Nature magic but there you go. You figured her more for Water or Earth. “One more question, where is the Bank of Anthus?”

The desk attendant points towards the main doors. “You'll head out to the street and take a right, towards all the bars and shops and all that. You can't miss it. It will have a big 'A' on the front facade.”

You incline your head in thanks and, having gotten what you came for, make for the doors. It isn't long before you once more find yourself wandering the streets of the Upper District, looking forward to becoming roughly seven thousand silver richer in an instant.

You spot the Bank of Anthus just as the desk attendant said. It's a large building with the front facade shaped into a giant A. You find it a little tacky, to be honest. Impressive sure, but in bad taste. Regardless you walk through the wooden doors at the base of the A and find yourself in a marble coated waiting room, the only other soul here an ancient looking elf wearing what appears to be a fur trimmed coat and a night gown, his head rested against his desk.

Well with healing magic, useful anesthetics, and what not I imagine C-sections aren't unheard of in this world. Could even be a common thing amongst those with wealth and power.
>>
You wander across the marble room to the aged elf, reaching over the desk to press two fingers to his neck. He's still got a pulse, so he's not dead. You grab him by one shoulder and try gently shaking him, but that doesn't produce any noticeable results. You try it a little more insistently and only after some time does he finally startle awake. The old Elf nearly knocks over the chair in the process, his arms flailing out to help him catch his balance.

Whilst mumbling something in Elven, he dust off his fur trimmed coat. Finally in Rhynian he ask you. “What? What do you need? Can't you see I was resting my eyes?”

He was fast asleep, but you don't really care. You extract the two promissory notes from your cloak and slide them across the desk to the old man. He snatches them up, holding them close to his face so he can read them. After a time he once more squints at you. “You're Mikhael I take it? How do I know?”

You hadn't really thought about that, but an idea occurs to you. “One of the notes says I'm a Vatis, right?” You hold out one of your hands, generating a roiling sphere of flame where before there had been nothing. You snuff it out a moment later, but it seems to be enough to prove your point. The old man waves a hand at you in vague annoyance while pushing himself out of his chair and hobbling off to a door in the back of the bank.

You wait, and wait, and wait yet more. It seems to take an hour just for the old man to collect approximately four hundred and seventy gold. You're not a hundred percent certain of that number, you think you might end up getting some amount of silver back as well, but you can't be bothered to do that math in your head at the moment.

(1/2)
>>
Finally the old man returns holding a fat bag of jangling coins in both hands. He sets it down with a heavy thud on his desk, leaning his weight against its wooden surface and reaching a hand around to rub his back, forcing himself to stand up straight. There's a loud pop, presumably from his joints. “There you go, lad. Four hundred sixty eight gold and ten silver. Now let me return to my beauty rest.”

You get the feeling this man is far beyond the aid of beauty sleep. He looks older than your Master and he's probably half your Master's age. Regardless you heft the bag of coins and deposit it into your cloak, with some small help from Ricky. The old man doesn't seem to notice.

You wander out of the bank and, with a relieved sigh, turn yourself towards the distant gates. You'll need to pass through the Lower District, which is fine. You could probably buy a guar to ride to Khmedi. That would take perhaps three days? You could always walk it, of course. That would probably make it five or six, maybe seven. Then you might be able to rent a carriage or something, or hitch a ride.

You wander through town, towards the distant bridge which spans the narrow band of sea water which cuts off the city of Anthus from the mainland. Well, you suppose it would be more accurate to say it cuts off most of the city of Anthus from the mainland, though there do appear to be a number of buildings stretching along the coast. The guards don't give you any trouble as you pass through the gates, and you quickly come to learn that the Lower District is busy even at this hour. Carts rumble along the cobblestone streets and pedestrians rush past you at a seemingly constant rate. It's a bit difficult just to navigate the sidewalks.

Eventually you find yourself on what appears to be a main thoroughfare, the road widening to accommodate more carts and riders and the sidewalks growing less crowded. You continue heading towards the direction you think the bridge is in, but to be perfectly honest you're feeling just a touch lost. Fortunately your direction sense hasn't failed you, as you find yourself confronted by a pair of vast steel gates after only a half hour or so of walking.

The gates are flung wide open at this hour, a never ending flow of carts and carriages baring goods trundling through the great doorways to the city. You search the area, and it doesn't take you long to find a man selling mounts as well as livestock and the various tools one might need for the care of livestock. He's a portly Samjan, a greasy black goatee decorating his chin. He looks you over suspiciously as you approach, speaking tersely in your native tongue before you can get a word out. “Unless you've got coin I've no need of you, beggar!”

You decide to capitalize on the merchant's mistake. You hold out your hands pleadingly, adopting a pitiful tone. “Please sir, I have the money. I do. I just need a guar to get me to Khmedi is all.” You dig a hand into your cloak, withdrawing a pitiful handful of gold. “See? See? I have coin! I can pay!”

Just to really sell the act, you adopt a hunched over posture and use just a touch of fire magic to make yourself appear dirtier, your clothes more moth eaten and stained. You even make your cheeks appear sunken and your face more haggard. It's a subtle transition at first, to avoid being noticed, but the end result is really quite dramatic.

The merchant flinches away, shooing you. “Fine, fine! I'll take your coin you poor filth. Come, I show you the animals. What do you want? A weak old nag is probably all that a wretch like you can afford. From the goodness of my heart I offer you a better beast, you should be grateful that I am so kind.”

He motions for you to follow him into the stable, and you oblige. He shuts the fence behind you before wandering into the herd of guar only to return a few moments later with a large female. At least, you think it's female. If your recall what Chryssa told you about tail thickness and length the first time you bought a guar. Gods, that seems an age ago. You think this particular guar is probably older than most, though you can't really tell. Not without looking at its teeth, at least. It also seems to have a bit of a limp. He's trying to sell you a lame guar.

You ignore the man, hobbling past him to a particularly young, healthy female. Judging by the size of the tail she ought to be fairly strong to boot. “I'll take this one.” You state, voice frail and feeble.

The old merchant seems to grow enraged. “That one? You couldn't possibly afford her! I am being generous, you filthy beggar, yet you spurn me!”

You think he might be preparing to strike you, though he seems to think better of it at the last minute. You're not sure why. Regardless, you stand firm. “I'm taking her. How much do you want?”

The man throws a hand in the air. “Two hundred fifty silver, not a silver less!”

You fish eight gold out of your cloak, jangling them in your hand and counting them all carefully. Then you offer the coin to the merchant. “I'll give you eight gold. It's all I got in this world. Listen, my son. He's-”

The merchant snatches the gold greedily, counting it in his hand before dropping it into his coin purse. Honestly, you were low balling him there. You expected that he'd ask for more. “I care not for your sob story, bastard of a bastard. Remove yourself and the animal from my sight.”

You clear your throat. “Well, sir. I'll be needing a saddle too. If it's not too much trouble. I've been living hard labor for a long while now, my back won't-”

The merchant sighs. “Take one of the worn out saddles off a post on your way out, I care not. Pani's blessed tits you remind me of my father. Expecting me to give you everything!”

>>
>>39211207
She has wings and a halo.
>>
>>39211219
That doesn't mean she's not human.

Soma, if you ever end up writing full on smut in Banished, I expect to get this scene in a pastebin as an omake for New Years or something
>>
>>39211277
If he ever goes full on smut I want a scene between two 5-time GMs.

The way I saw it was we
>Could've saved some change
>Got a mount which requires almost no upkeep behind repairing
>Could've made it Stronger than a Guar
>Would've added at least another day to our journey to rest which we could've spent reading or looking for more books hell could've gotten one on Golems
>Even if we failed the roll we could've learned something

I personally could also appreciate an omake of Mik losing his virginity in te Brothel, then maybe his second time in a brothel as well, if t's the same one and ideally some of the same prostitutes.
>>
>>39211498
I'm still waiting for the omake where the whore miks brother is fucking is the same one that he banged, and she mentions how great a lay we were.
>>
Alright, so now that Mik has fully embraced being a degenerate, we can start the harem route with Mortia, Darzi, Chrys, Rajani, and maybe Vasude/Ghada, right?
The question is, how do we seduce Mormor and save her from our master?
>>
>>39211704
>implying our master isn't ball deep already
>>
>>39211704
I expect Mortia to be pregnant upon our return.

If we bump into this humie chick after the timeskip and she has a bastard son by Mik, I'm going to officially declare Mik a nigger.
>>
>>39211967
Our deadbeat dad game is growing more powerful by the day.
>>
>>39211967
>Big dick
>Constantly abandons son despite claiming to love him
>Violent tendencies
>Known to "chimp out"
>Couldn't resist fucking a white woman.
Mik is already a nigger.

I don't want this to be a harem romance quest anon. That shit is boring
>>

Goddamn, get here too late to suggest we tell him that although we've been down on our luck before, things are about to change and he should look into "Siege" as an investment opportunity. We should also have given him our first name and that we were an ex-aghati.

Then we could have him experience the delayed shock of realizing he was jewed by one of the richest Samjan in the land.
>>
>>39212030
Chrys will never accept polyamory.

Which is why she is worst girl.
>>

damn. this woman is trouble. the fun kind.

OOGA BOOGA WHERE THE WITE WOMIN AT
>>
>>39205840
It depends on where you are. In the shahdom the no crossbreeding rule is good and necessary. In other places, fucking humans and in theory also elves, but you have to draw a line somewhere is good, because it introduces superior samjan genes into the murky humam gene pool. In the long run it lifts the human race up.
>>
>>39212332
>giving that asshole business info, wanting to share siege money with more people
No
I'm okay with dropping the disguise and letting him hear the jingling of a thousand gold coins though
>>
>>39212332
It would've been much more effective to just pull out a stack of gold and count his fee before leaving, instead of coming up with retarded schemes.
>>
>>39212348
I think she can persuaded.

The first thing I want to talk about when it is time to have a chat with Chrys about these things is the fact that Mik is a samjan and he is going to be having multiple wives, and if she can not deal with that then there is no romantic future for the both of them.
