They find one brave (or stupid) enough to do so and they find that if it is smelted down by a skilled blacksmith over the course of a day, then the Sleep can become a material similar to the Iron Wool, but acting as a conduit of sorts for innate Tauren magic powers.

The blacksmiths, hearing of Ahdrag's heroic feats during the battle at the Children of the Sky Fire's Temple, come together to create a sword worthy of him. Unfortunately, they rush the job when adding in the Sleep to make the sword blaze, and cause it to instead become a, well, you're not quite sure what it is. But it most certainly isn't a sword.

One of the captains in the Militia tries to get a Fighter's Guild going to train the recruits.
