The Minotaurs and Humans have triumphed over the Eldritch armies of Guth and his stone Colossus. The traitor was slain by our great Ahdrag, who promptly passed to join the ancestors. The Age of Ahdrag is over, and so the Age of Brakla has begun! There is much to do. The Colossus must be looted, the gate repaired, and even more awaits!

The miners, seeing how a massive pile of rock just came crashing down on their doorstep, eagerly take to hammering away at the Colossus's corpse. Unfortunately, the stone is proving harder than normal to break with the picks, and little progress can be made.

>A2: Gate
>89: Great success!
Seeing the rather obvious problem with having a shattered gate leading right into the capital, Brakla orders the Geomancers to rebuild it. They do so quick as a flash, and a new, much stronger, gate house is soon erected.

>A3: Scouting
>56+10=66: Success!
Brakla, now king, turns his eyes to the horizon. >Surely there is land out there to explore and expand to?
With this thought in mind, he sends out a scouting party to find any remotely hospitable land in the wastes. They return a few days later, with everyone surprisingly alive! Speaking of vast stretches of water as far as the eye can see, with massive chunks of ice drifting endlessly, it appears they've found what Brakla was looking for.
>Coastline discovered!
>A4: Militia
>84: Great success!
Brakla, William, hell, everyone in the Militia saw what horrid monstrocities were ready to consume them and all they knew. The people, seeing how close they could have come to extinction, soon swarm to fill the ranks of the Militia.

>R2: Mining upgrade
>62: Success!
Frustrated by the lack of progress, the miners begin to think of unorthodox ways of breaking into the massive corpse outside. Soon enough, one gets the bright idea to tip his iron pick with a bit of Sleep. Striking the rock full force, it shatters the rock, leaving any ore inside completely exposed!

In the dead of night, a few woodsmen and Tauren head out to see what exactly wood can be used for, besides the obvious. Getting awfully close to the beach, they start chopping. Between swings, a voice is heard.

Nervous, they start hacking away violently, eventually causing the tree to topple over. One of the Tauren's sons followed him, and was watching from the beach. It landed square on him, splattering his body against the grainy surface. The father rushes over, wailing in desperation so as to try and bring his son back to life. The voice is heard again.
>Aaosif'asfuyewairu, austyiouyhretkj'dsafas
He looks up and sees a, thing, most certainly not human, nor Tauren, or even a Snow Elf. It starts to drag the mangled corpse into the sea. He grabs on, desperate to keep the memory of his son alive. His screams and wails are muffled as he is dragged under the unceasing waves.

Didn't intend to do that, sorry if I did Sleeper. I'll look up the translators for next thread.

>A1: Water Spirit
The people grow tired of being hunted like animals. Memories of the White Beings echo in the minds of the oldest among them, and calls for action soon roar through the town. The Water Spirit is called yet again, and that oh so familiar voice comes in.
>My children, I have done all I can. The Deep Ones see you as invading their home. You see this as your new home. I cannot change anything.
A loud voice is heard, slurred speech carrying over the heads of the tallest Tauren.
>"Look ye stuck up cunt, if ya don' tell yer lit'le babbies to stop killin' us, we'rre gon' have ta roast em!"
It appears Brakla and William have come to town to deal with this problem personally. Brakla, looking rather peeved at William, speaks up.
>"I believe what my friend is trying to say that if you cannot convince the Deep Ones to stop harming our people, there will be war."
His words hang in the air.
>Very well, I shall try. Though I doubt I will be able to change their minds.

anyways, i was kinda looking forward to boiling some seas. ah well :(

but hey, maybe we can all have one big happy community. we suck at fishing currently, so they can do what they did in innsmouth: drive fish towards our shores in exchange for something...

>Water Spirit success!
The next day, the sun is shining as the Pyromancers gather at the beach, hands already warmed up. Then a figure forms out of the water, feminine in appearance.
>"My children, I have done all I can. The Deep Ones have agreed to stop harming you. Hopefully this peace shall last."
With that, it disappears back into the ocean, barely making a splash.
>Peace achieved?
3 actions remain!
>R1: Spear fishing.
With the promise of peace, some of the braver Tauren and humans step onto the beach, sharpened sticks in hand. It takes some effort, but soon enough, a fish is impaled on a stick! Roasting it over the fire, it's taste fills one with happiness, as well as their stomach!

>A2: Relations
>53: Average!
Seeing as how you take food from the sea, people seem to be, anxious, about leaving enough for the Deep Ones. Small offerings of meat or vegetables are frequently thrown out to sea as a good luck charm. This doesn't cause any upsides when fishing, but nothing bad comes of it either.
>A3: Wood uses
>69: HOT DAMN LUCKY NUMBERS!
Happy that the tragedies of the past are now behind them, the woodsmen set to work on finding new ways to use wood. Soon, after a rather long day of cutting open wood and shaving it down to make crude planks, the wood dust/chips stand in a massive pile. Trying to light it, it's found that it burns as profusely as a full log!
>Carpentry invented!
>Wood Shaving invented!
>R2: Glass
>16: Complete failure!
After a few hours of playing with grains of sand, a Pyromancer attempts to see what would happen if he lit it on fire. He kills himself in the blaze and burns his house down.

>A1: Water Spirit
>99: Amazing success!
You contact the Water Spirit yet again, and she appears before Brakla and William.
>"You called for me my children?"
Before Brakla can reply respectfully, William speaks up, hungover.
>"Rright, look. We don' wan' tah roast the fish-faces anymorr'. We just wan' to talk to 'em, but all t'ey speak is gibberish!"
Brakla gives him a death stare, than returns his attention to the now, somewhat giggling, Water Spirit.
>"I will gladly help you learn the tongue of my other children. I'm so happy that you didn't try to kill one another!"
With that, she returns to the sea, though Brakla now feels like he could understand the Deep Ones, while William is too hungover to think straight.
>A2: Salted Fish
>72: Above average success!
The taste of salted fish must be shared! This is the cheer that the caravans say as they depart from the village, laden down with dozens of salted fish. They know not what the word salted means, but they think it just makes it taste better.
>Salted fish is now exported from Gorric!

The new carpenters see the sea as a gateway to explore, and try to fashion wood into a platform with which to float! The first result falls apart within seconds, the second accidentally lights on fire, and the third just plain sinks into the deep blue sea.

>A3: Deep Ones
>78: Above average success!
With Brakla's new found ability to speak with the Deep Ones, he spends many nights out on the beaches, hoping to speak with them. One night he gets lucky, as a dark figure emerges from the water, skin shining under the moon light.
>"Why do you come here?"
The voice is low and raspy.
>"We come seeking new land, and a new home."
Brakla replies.
>"This our home. Why do you invade our home?"
The figure has what would be a look of confusion on it's face.
>"We never meant to, we didn't even know this place was inhabited before we got here.
The figure stares at Brakla for a moment, then says,
>"Very well."
It slinks back into the sea.

>A4: Recipes!
>95: Amazing success!
With the advent of salted fish, the citizens of Gorric begin trying to think of new ways to eat the floppy fish. The idea of slicing them up and using them as an appetizer soon becomes prominent, and all throughout the town people are starting dinner with a healthy dose of fish!
>Appetizers invented!
>Diced fished invented!

With peace finally(?) achieved with the Deep Ones, the carpenters set to work on making better rafts. Soon, a rather large, but still somehow buoyant, raft is lowered into the water, and it floats!

>Boats invented!
>Though relying on oars, these boats travel much faster in the water than one would be one land!
