After congratulating Salamence on his new form and calming down the guards and servants nearby, you get back to preparing for your departure. You’d already decided to head to a forest to the west to find Xerneas, possibly using your flute to summon Celebi as well.

As you’re making sure you have everything, Jenna walks up to you, “Ceil,” she starts, “I’m not sure how helpful I’ll be, but I’ve decided I want to come along with you and Lisa. I don’t think I could stand just sitting around waiting.”

“Great,” you smile, giving her a pat on the head, “I’m happy to have you along.”

With that settled, you all saddle up on the King’s Pidgeots. Lisa and Jenna opt to ride together on one, while you get another. Lucario and Frogadier are going to ride on a third, and Salamence should be able to fly along by himself.

With everything set, you take off shortly afterwards, the birds gracefully diving off the balcony and heading out of the city, while Salamence follows behind more lazily.

After you fly out of the city itself, the Pidgeot start to pick up the pace, flapping their wings to increase their speed. At the rate you were going, it wouldn't take too much time to get there, so you decide to guide your bird a bit more to the south, heading towards Camphrier town to make good on your promise to Thomas Shabboneau. The other birds follow suits, as does Salamence.

Watching Salamence for a bit, he seems to still be getting the hang of flying, though he still looks happier than you've ever seen him. He constantly tries to do loops and flips, with some success. Occasionally your group has to slow down to let him catch up, but even with that you're making good time.

Turning back to the others, you call out to ask if they're doing alright. Lisa gives you a thumbs up, while Lucario gives a nod. Frogadier seems to be busy sleeping, so you assume he's fine. You spot Jenna tightly hugging Lisa from behind, her eyes shut tight. Hopefully she was just nervous from the speed and nothing else.

It's late afternoon when you finally arrive, making the trip quite quickly. You guide your bird down towards the town, aiming to land outside the gates of the inner castle. Fortunately, there's a rather large courtyard outside, giving you plenty of space to land. Salamence seems a bit reluctant to do so, but sets himself down eventually.

Your sudden arrival comes as a bit of a surprise to those nearby, and by the time you all dismount news of your arrival seems to have already reached Thomas and Rachel, as they're at the edge of the courtyard waiting for you.

"Ceil?" he asks in surprise as you head over, "What are you doing here? And with a Salamence of all things?"

"Well, remember when you asked me to come back and show you if Jirachi ever woke up?"

"Yes, but what does-" he starts, pausing at the realization, "Wait? You don't mean?"

"Yep," you nod, gesturing over to Jenna, who's holding Jirachi in her arms, "Right there."

"Oh my goodness!" he shouts, running over to get a closer look, startling Jenna with his excitement, "Ceil! This has to be the greatest day of my life. How can I ever thank you."

"Well, I wish we had time to chat, but we have a problem," you reply, "Yveltal is on the loose, and we're on a mission from the king to go find a bunch of other legendary monsters to stop it. You want to come?"

"Do I?" he smiles, "This day keeps getting better and better!"

With his quick acceptance, you prepare to take to the skies once more. This time, you let Thomas ride your Pidgeot, opting to ride Salamence yourself.

"Try not to do too many loops this time, okay?" you tell the large dragon as you take off. He growls in annoyance, but soon relents.

With that, you take off once more, heading north-west towards your destination. This time the ride is even faster, as you're heading a much shorter distance. As you arrive at the forest, you consider how you want to try searching.

You instruct Salamence to land near the edge of the forest, and he eventually obliges. The others soon follow your decent, landing nearby. Hopping off Salamence, you head over to the others.

"Alright, now that we're here," you begin, "Can you find Xerneas for us Jirachi?"

"Yep!" the small creature smiles, floating up out of Jenna's arms, "Should still be sleeping, so hasn't moved."

"Oh, it can speak too!" Thomas grins wildly before regaining his composure.

Jirachi closes her eyes, gently starting to drift towards the forest. The rest of you follow, though you instruct Salamence to wait here and watch the Pidgeot.

Jirachi cuts a fairly straight path through the forest, weaving slowly around the occasional branch or tree. Eventually, you reach what appears to be a lake, though Jirachi stops short just at the edge.

"Hmm, that's funny," she murmurs, before reaching out her scarves towards the lake. With a bright flash and a sharp noise you see the image of the lake fade from view, replaced with a much shallower puddle. Glancing across it, you realize that you've been here before.

On the far side of the clearing under the branches of a white tree is a certain psychic monster you've met before, sleeping in a pile with her smaller counterparts. She wakes up with a start, glancing around in panic upon noticing her illusion has been ripped apart, though her panic fades as she notices you, lifting herself up and drifting across the pond towards your group.

Taking your hand in hers, she starts to bombard you with images and feelings of confusion, though slows once you ask her to calm down. Once she does, she simply communicates a feeling of confusion and curiosity, likely wondering what is going on.

Jirachi continues floating towards the tree as you start to explain the full situation. As you're communicating with your mind, it's rather easy to explain all the details, including how you suspect the tree in her grove to be Xerneas, as well as that Jirachi is a very powerful monster and that's how she got past the barrier.

Gardevoir seems to accept this flow of information readily, nodding and communicating a feeling of understanding as you finish, before guiding you by your hand over to the other side of the clearing, the rest of your friends following along after you.

Jirachi is currently floating about the tree, and gives a nod to you as you walk over, confirming that this is indeed Xerneas.

"Alright," you say, glad that your first task was so simple, "Now how are we supposed to wake him up?"

"If I recall correctly," Thomas says, "Awakening a dormant legendary such as this would normally take a large amount of energy, but with his counterpart already awake, it should take much less."

"Yep," Jirachi smiles, "I'll just try and wake him up now!"

With that, Jirachi presses her hands against the tree, giving off a soft glow once again. After a few moments, the tree itself starts to shine a silver color, the wood bending and starting to rise out of the ground, changing shape and color. Crystals of all colors sprout from the branches, flowers start blooming on the ground nearby, and the other trees begin to bud as well. With a final shake of its horns and a stamp of its pointed hooves, Xerneas raises its head up high, glancing down at you and your companions.

"Rise and shine!" Jirachi says, giggling before landing in the creature's horns.

"Greetings to you as well. Wishmaker," Xerneas replies with a deep melodic voice that seems to reverberate throughout the area, "Why is it you have awoken me, and who are these children here?"

"Yveltal has awoken and is about to start his rampage, we saw him and raced to find you," you interrupt, "Yveltal has been awoken, we're trying to stop him to protect our lands and homes."

"Hmm?" Xerneas mutters, craning his neck down to look at you more closely, pausing to stare for a moment, "I sense that you are not lying, and indeed you have a great deal of mastery over life force yourself. However, I shall not require your assistance in this matter, and I shall handle my brother alone."

"But if you try to fight him, it might result in a stalemate that could-" you begin, only for Xerneas to quickly rise up and slam a hoof down in front of you, making a loud thud but leaving the grass unharmed.

"Do not presume to lecture me," he scoffs, "We have fought in the past, though this time I shall defeat him easily."

On that note, Xerneas, begins striding towards the edge of the clearing, flowers blooming with each step.

Xerneas stands for a moment longer, considering your words, before turning away.

"You possess great wisdom for one so young," he replies, "If you truly wish to help, then so be it. I shall fight at your side. Continue whatever it was you were planning, and in the meantime, I shall move to delay him."

Before you can respond, Xerneas, takes a bounding leap, dashing away into the forest with incredible speed. The trees seem to sway out of his way as he does so, allowing him to pass through unimpeded.

"Two legends in one day," Thomas chuckles softly, "What's the plan next Ceil?"

"We're not done yet," you say, taking out your silver flute.

"Say isn't that the one you showed me before?" Thomas says, looking it over.

"Right, except know we know what it's for."

You bring the flute up to your lips, although you pause for a moment. While you had some practice playing one, you weren't really sure what song you should play. Then again, you don't know if there was a particular one you needed to. Shrugging your shoulders, you begin by blowing a few notes, slowly working into a rhythm. The flute's tone is cheerful and soothing, causing you to relax and close your eyes as you begin to play. Eventually, you settle into playing a rather simple melody from the past, a song you recall from your childhood. You've never been very good at the flute, though this particular performance seems to be almost flawless in spite of that. As you wind down and open your eyes, you turn to see a small green creature dancing on the tip of the flute, giggling as you spot it.

"Celebi?" you ask tentatively, careful to keep the flute still. The creature simply nods and giggles again, quickly darting around and circling you, flitting about your party before coming to Jirachi, who smiles at it, the two clasping hands. They then close their eyes and twirl about for a moment, before opening them and floating over to you once more.

"Celebi says she'll help!" Jirachi smiles, the somewhat smaller monster resting on her head.

"Great! We're glad to have your help Celebi," you say, the small pixie simply laughing once more.

"Don't take it personally," Jirachi explains, "Papa told her not to talk to strangers. Something about knowing the future or something."

"It's fine," you say before turning to the others, "Now, let's get going! We've still got to track down Keldeo!"

"The wishmaker, the lifebringer, the voice of the forest, and the sword of waters?" Thomas says, positively beaming, "It's like a dream come true!"

As if in response, Celebi flies over to him, touching a hand daintily to his nose, before fluttering away. Thomas is doing a fairly good job of keeping his composure despite all this though.

As you leave, Gardevoir takes your hand once more, expressing feelings of determination and togetherness, flashing back to some lines from your speech before.

"Are you asking to come with us?" you inquire, getting a nod in response, "Well, that's fine with me, but what about them?"

You gesture to the smaller monsters, and Gardevoir pauses. She then turns to Jirachi and Celebi, closing her eyes to communicate telepathically. The two of them nod afterwards, and a brief moment later and the illusory barrier seems to ripple into place once more. She turns back to you, flashing images of the two legends, and then feelings of strength and security. You guess they helped amplify her barrier somehow.

"In that case, let's get going!"

Your group heads back to the edge of the forest, where the Pidgeot are still patiently waiting. Salamence seems to have spent the free time practicing his flying once more, although he swoops down to land upon seeing you. Gardevoir opts to sit with Richard, shying away from Salamence.

"Celebi, do you want to ride with us, or with one of the others?" you ask the small creature. In response, it simply loops through the air and plops down onto your head. With that settled, you all take off, heading towards the south.

You decide to take a moment to focus and practice aura. You haven't done it lately and it might help calm your nerves.

As you do so, you feel yourself suddenly blinded by a brilliant green aura spiraling out from nearby, though as you focus away from it you realize it was simply Celebi sitting atop your head.

You instead focus onto your other monsters instead. Shelgon still has that same regal aura of superiority he always had, though it's much stronger now. However, you also notice something else, something breezy and lighthearted. It's similar to the one on the other birds, but you can't quite place the difference. Frogadier still has his bubbly aura, though it's a bit cooler and calmer now, a deeper blue overall. Lucario seems to have his changed the most. His aura is much brighter now, but in addition to that there's more aspects to it. It's much more stalwart and stubborn, though looking deeper you can still see his playful side under that shell.

With that done, you move on to looking at the surrounding air, finding yourself able to see that strange fuzz despite not using the incense. It's about as thin as it was in the desert, though you notice it seems to get more heavy as you look closer to Celebi. In fact, it's almost like it's aura is permeating through the air and spreading across the fuzz.

Blinking your eyes open, you decide to try talking to Celebi.

"So, you can do time travel stuff right?" you ask, "How does that work exactly? Like, what happens if you go meet yourself?" Celebi positions itself to look you in the eyes, then shakes it's head no.

"Come on, we're only strangers until we become friends," you chuckle, "What do you say?"

"Biii!" Celebi cries out before sticking its tongue out at you. Guess she's still not feeling very chatty, so you shrug your shoulders and turn to someone else.

"Never expected this when a kid asked to hold onto a Meteor, did you?" you call out to Thomas.

"Not at all!" he hollers back, "I was expecting you to wander back a few weeks later and offer to sell it to me, but I never expected this!"

"Well, I'm sure you'll have quite a few great talking points for your guests in the future!"

"Quite right! Maybe once this is over I can have some paintings made!"

You call out to Lisa and Jenna next, "So, are you two used to flying yet!?"

"I'm fine!" Lisa responds, "I think I prefer Pidgeotto at his current size though."

"I'm o-okay!" Jenna yells back, "It's just really fast!"

"Well, just hold on tight then," you say, "We'll be there soon!"

Jenna nods in response, though you suddenly hear Jirachi's voice in your head.

"I see him," Jirachi says, "He's just on top of that mountain."

You glance around, seeing a peak over on your left towards the east. You point it out to Salamence, who wheels in that direction, the other birds following behind. Glancing with your aura vision, you can see a bright blue emanating from the top, along with a few other smaller auras you can't make out.

You begin your decent a few moments later, landing on a flat part of the peak. Scattered about seem to be ruins and pillars from some sort of structure, and you spot your target standing between two of them atop some steps nearby.

"Yveltal has be released and we have awoken Xerneas which means a great battle for all life is about to begin. My friends and I have been traveling to find a way to end the destruction and protect those who would be caught in the crossfire. My friend Jirachi helped us find those that may help in this dire time, and I had hoped that you would honor us by fighting by our side Keldeo."

"Greetings Keldeo," you begin, "My name is Ciel. Several days ago Yveltal was awoken and is about to begin his rampage across the land. We happened to be traveling when he passed by and have been seeking help to end his destruction before it can begin. Along my travels I found Jirachi who offered to help us, next we found Xerneas and convinced him that together we could defend life than apart. After he agreed to slow Yveltal down we summoned Celebi before coming to find you."

"What, you too?" Keldeo asks, blinking in surprise.

"What?" you ask, unsure what he meant.

"I've already been working to try and stop Yveltal, as is my duty as a sword of justice," Keldeo explains, posing so as to appear more dramatic, "As such, I have also been seeking allies to aid me in this noble quest."

"That's great news!" you smile, "Who did you find?"

"Only the finest swords in all the land!" he grins smugly before giving a quick whistle. A few moments afterwards, a large green dragon with large axes like you saw in the tunnels emerges from behind a nearby rock, sniffing the air and glancing at you before moving over to Keldeo. After that, you hear the sound of blades slicing against each other, and turn to see a familiar looking metal bird land next to you, eying your food pouch before fluttering over to the other two. From behind a pillar you spot a red armored monster you've certainly seen before, as the blade on its gauntlet is chipped in the same way. He offers you a curt nod, though you also notice in his hand he's holding a sword that looks vaguely similar to your own. Finally, a sinister buzzing sound fills the air, and from a nearby tree lands a green insect with wicked blades, and as it lands you notice a scar on the back of its knee. As it looks to you, it's face seems to light up, though it quickly turns away from you with a huff, moving to the others.

I'm pretty sure the other Honedge will be involved in us getting Doublade.

"Impressed?" Keldeo boasts, "I'll admit they're not quite as good as my brothers, but I can recognize determination and potential in every one of them."

You're not quite sure how to respond at this point, though it does seem like Keldeo is willing to help.

>Inform him that you've fairly certain you've beaten or circumvented each monster he brought with him

i guess the logical thing would be to ask him if they got stronger

But be polite about it. Don't be a dick when we say it. Also say hi to Tsundere Scyther.

Pick him up and carry him because he's adorable.

Ask him if we could borrow the Honedge to go with the one we already have. Doublade anyone?

I'd like to express my pleasure with the current state of affairs. Thank you all for being swell.

I feel like Yveltal is going to be curb stomped pretty hard.

Yveltal is probably going to have an army backing him. I see us splitting into teams as well.

Yveltal kills everything, pretty sure no army would follow him when they'll just get caught in his death field

"I think we've already met," you grin sheepishly, nodding to each of them in turn, save for the other sword.

"What?" Keldeo cries, taken aback, turning towards Scyther and Bisharp, "You mean that both of your stories about losing to a super strong opponent were..."

Bisharp gives a slow nod, hanging his head, while Scyther just turns away grumbling.

"And he was that stranger who showed you kindness and convinced you to change your ways?" he asks the metal bird, who happily screeches in reply.

"And you..." he says turning to the dragon, "...is this the 'intruder' who you got so upset about getting away?"

"I'm fairly certain I managed to evade him in a tunnel once," you offer, "We didn't actually meet face to face."

Haxorous sniffs the air once more, growling while giving a slight nod.

"Have they gotten stronger since I met them last?" you decide to ask.

"Well, from what they've told me, they've been practicing as much as they can," Keldeo replies, "This one even managed to find a very rare sword. I don't expect you to know the details, but let me just tell you-"

"Actually," you interrupt, taking out your sword, "I have one very similar."

Keldeo's head slumps in defeat, clearly a bit distraught that his elite team has been upstaged by you. While he gathers his thoughts, the others move forward, Haxorous and Salamence sizing one another up, Scyther eying Lucario's new form, Bisharp moving up to salute you, and Skarmory watching from above.

You head over to Keldeo, wanting to console him, "Don't worry about it," you say, petting his mane, "You've picked out a great team, and we'll all need to work together to stop Yveltal."

"Um, right," Keldeo says, "But could you please stop petting me? It's embarrassing."

"Right, sorry..." you say, withdrawing your hand.

"Shall we get going then?" Keldeo shouts, hopping back up the stairs.

"Let's get going then," you agree, heading over to Salamence, "How will you be getting there though?"

"Don't worry about us," Keldeo grins, "I've got a little trick I picked up for just such an occasion."

"Alright, we'll see you there then," you reply.

With that you bid farewell to Keldeo's group and take off, heading east towards the ominous clouds in the distance. The seemed to have moved forward since you last saw them, now spilling over into the foothills below. You'd be able to get there rather quickly, though what to do upon arriving was a good question.

so assuming people are limited to 6 pokemon in this setting, which mon's do you think will end up staying with Ciel after all this?
>Honedge
to make a Doublade with our Honedge
>Scyther
maybe, tsun Murder bug is best murder bug
>Scarmory
I'd like him to stay
>Bisharp
could be fun to have a Dark type to spar with
>Gardevoir
I want to say yes, but she'll probably either go back to the forest with Xerneas or bond with Jenna
just noticed, but Ciel meets A LOT of Steel types
>>
>>39354430
>Try and find Xerneas, he could protect you from the death aura Yveltal was supposed to have
I think this is best handled with massive firepower applied for longer than necessary at maximum range.

Honestly, the only thing I know we're probably going to do is use Jirachi to wish back Jenna's parents. Or use Celebi to go back and save them.
>>
>>39354468
hmm. Scyther would be most likely.
>>
is it just me or did it irk anyone else that jenna triggered jirachi to awaken although she displayed selfishness before? I mean if purity can be attained by atoning for her mistakes there should be plenty of pure enough people to summon jirachi.
>>

>>Try and circle around it and sneak up from behind, Celebi and Jirachi should have enough power to let you get close
i don't think it was Jenna that woke Jirachi on her own, Ciel carried her around for a long time and he's pretty damn pure, I think it was her pure childlike wish that tipped the scale and brought her out of the meteor

You guide Salamence towards the front of the advancing cloud, towards the center where you can spot a bright pink beacon using your aura sight.

You'd done all you could to prepare, now it was time to put it to the test.

----------------

This is where I'm gonna call it for tonight. I want to have a full session for the next parts.

As always, thank you for playing. I'll be around a bit longer for any questions or comments.

hmm.. so purity isn't tied to a single person... Yeah I can get behind that explanation.

Will Celebi ever like us enough to talk?
Also would this heavy gathering of legends cause others to notice and investigate? We've got alot of fairy legends and a trio legendary here as well as Xerneas and Yveltal.

What would Rayquaza's reaction have been if we asked him?

Does Deoxys exist yet? What do other Legendaries think about him, seeing as he's not Arceus created. Is he a bro?
>>
>>39354613
thanks for running
so, will this be the final showdow or...?
>>
>>39354711
>Will Celebi ever like us enough to talk?

Possibly. It'd take a lot of convincing and even then it won't tell you about time stuff.

>Also would this heavy gathering of legends cause others to notice and investigate?
Legends typically keep to themselves. The most proactive ones are the swords of justice, but there's other places where they're needed. Unless it starts involving their domains more directly, then probably not.

>What would Rayquaza's reaction have been if we asked him?

Hyper beam, but that's how he solves all his problems.

>Does Deoxys exist yet?

Exist? Yes. Be awake or in the vicinity of earth? Probably not. Also probably wouldn't be very bro.

>>39354788
We're getting pretty close to a finale yes. I'm still not certain how it's going to work out afterwards.
>>
>>39354852
>Possibly. It'd take a lot of convincing and even then it won't tell you about time stuff.
I don't want it to tell me about time stuff. (Unless we go on crazy time travel adventures, then I might ask.) I just want it to talk and it can tell us stories about the past.

>Hyper beam
Kek. You so craycray, Rayray.

>Exist? Yes. Be awake or in the vicinity of earth? Probably not. Also probably wouldn't be very bro.
Aww. Oh well. Maybe one day we'll find another strange ass meteor.
