You are Kusajishi Riku, and in your defense Okita quite literally asked for this.

“Fine,” you reply. “I'll go all-out. But don't complain to me if I mess up your pretty hair.”

Okita bows slightly. “I look forward to seeing your sincere self.”

You take the lead, your unusually heavy-feeling new body doing little to hold you back as you swing your shinai. Okita parries your sword, but is surprised as you land a single body blow against him. He grunts a little, and very nearly hits you with his own blade as you step around and past his left side. Then he takes a step back, matched with an overhanded strike from the top right that you easily parry... only to have him set up for a flat thrust that you see coming.

“Not gonna work!” you declare as you sidestep the thrust and catch the “back” of Okita's shinai in your hand, pulling it past you. This pulls the Shinsengumi off balance so that a quick strike from your leg brings him crashing to the floor... but your right arm refuses to strike him with your weapon to end the match.

Over your shoulder you spot Matsubara, who's taken the cord off his uniform that each Shinsengumi seems to wear to keep their sleeves reigned in. He's used it to wrap up the wrist of your sword-arm: this is hojōjutsu, an entire body of technique that focuses on restraining someone with a cord.

Despite the match suddenly being two on one, you can't help but grin. “Never seen that before!”

Matsubara smirks. “Never said it was gonna be one on one, did we?”

>Try to overpower Matsubara and free yourself?
>”Finish” Okita first, then deal with Matsubara?

>>
>>39391969
Well, if they want to fight you two on one you'll just have to beat them both at the same time. Simple enough, really.

“Two at once?” you muse playfully. “That's dirty, but I'm FLATTERED!”

With that shout of exertion you rotate your shinai, wrapping it up even further in Matsubara's cords and pulling him towards you. A strike from your right elbow arrives before he gets the chance to hit you with his own shinai, and as he's briefly stunned you grab him by the collar of his uniform and throw him over your shoulder.

One Shinsengumi tumbles through the air, crashing headlong into the other even as the unsuspecting man tries to get to his feet. Matsubara releases his grip on the cord around your wrist, and you release your hold on Okita's sword to remove it. Damn... that's a good knot he put in it.

“My, my,” Okita laughs as he rises to his feet. “How embarrassing! Sorry, Commander Hijikata, I do believe she got us!”

From his corner, Saitō treats you to a mad round of laughter. “You look like a lovestruck teen, Sōji! Don't tell me this woman tamed you so easily!”

Okita rubs his head where Matsubara crashed into it, but he's still grinning. “I got careless, I'll admit it. I was expecting her to hit... well, like a girl. You know.”

“No offense,” he tells you hastily. None taken, really. If it weren't for this stupid gigai you could probably have killed him with a flick to the nose, but he doesn't need to know that.

“So, you mind if I ask you all something?” you ask, finally sensing their initial distrust abating somewhat.

Saitō's eyes somehow manage to narrow even further than usual. “You may ask, but don't expect an answer.”

“Why are you all fighting, anyway? To protect the Shogunate with your lives?”

“It's not just that,” the man named Hijikata replies. “The shishi, who seek to tear down the Shogunate, would plunge the nation into chaos and kill innocents to advance their goals. The shape their betrayal takes is as important as the betrayal itself.”

Okita nods solemnly. “It's as Mister Hijikata says. The revolutionaries were in the wrong the moment they raised their swords, and it's our duty to stop them.”

Well... that's not actually that unreasonable. They may be killers, but the Shinsengumi seem to have their reasons for being killers. However, you're willing to bet the shishi have their own reasons as well that may be just as valid.

“Are you all this good?” you ask with a small laugh.

Hijikata shrugs. “No, but we have our standards. Part of what separates us from the common rabble and ronin.”

"Can I come back some time?" you ask.

Hijikata nods thoughtfully. "Your attacks are unrefined, and brutal. It will be good training for some of us who were taught under more controlled conditions."

"He means yes," Okita translates, whispering at you behind his hand. "Nod and smile, it's what we do."

Along the way back to your base of operations, you're treated to your first murder: a swordsman with a round black knot of hair and a stern face cuts down a man in broad daylight, with a single stroke that cleaves him nearly in two. There are several witnesses, but the assailant doesn't seem to care as he stops to deposit a slip of paper which reads "Divine Retribution".

So that's what Kyoto's like these days.

The reports seem to confirm it as they roll in throughout the evening: there are several factions of shishi revolutionaries operating out of a number of inns in the area. At night they cross swords with Shogunate loyalists, including the Shinsengumi, bleeding each other away three or four members at a time. Such is the current state of affairs, though one of your spies also brought vague word of a larger plot in the works from the faction at an inn called Ikeda-ya.

“So, how're things going?” Shiba Kaoru asks you.

You blink a few times, shaking yourself awake again. That's right, she's here as part of the Kidō Corps' mission to deliver messages to the deployed Shinigami. Hard to believe that much time has gone by already: it'll be a year next month since you saw Yoruichi face to face. “Sorry. Fine, just fine. We've got spies watching the major groups fighting for the Shogunate and Imperialist factions, and I'm learning a lot from the swordsmen here.”

“Any of them handsome?” Kaoru teases, elbowing you in the ribs.

Really, you rarely notice that sort of thing. The assassin Kawakami's appearances have mostly left you watching his sword style, which is amazingly quick and refined in its movements. Among the shishi you're always more concerned with their long-term plans, and among the Shinsengumi you're trying not to get brained by a practice sword. You haven't told any of them that you're observing all parties involved in the ongoing street war, naturally. Not your place to do so.

“Eh,” you grunt, making sure the lamp in your room has enough oil in it to last the evening. “Even the nicest of them's a killer through and through.”

Kaoru's eyes glimmer ever so slightly. “That's not what I was asking...”

“There's one who's cute, I guess. Why, you in the market? Kai's gonna get jealous.”

“Shut up,” she shoots back, smacking your shoulder. “I'll have you know I was just curious. You never show any interest in stuff like that.”

“SO,” you interrupt loudly, “how's my Captain doing? And that new student of hers?”

“Her shadow, you mean?” Kaoru asks, thankfully following your abrupt change of topic. “They're inseparable, I hear, and the young one's getting pretty strong. Also, your Captain wanted me to tell you something for her.”

You give her a moment before following up. “Yes? And?”

“Just that she misses her Lieutenant,” Kaoru replies playfully. “And she's looking forward to seeing you back. That's all.”

That's nice. “I was starting to wonder if she'd forgotten I was out here, or gotten buried under the pile of paperwork I'm NOT doing for her.”

“If you're worried about her, I could have the paperwork sent here?" your friend teases.

"Two words: hell. No."

"Commander!" one of your spies runs in, interrupting your conversation. "A thousand apologies, but you told me to get you if anything happened!"

"And?" you press impatiently. "What is it?"

"The shishi at Ikedaya are meeting to plot an attack! They want to burn Kyoto during the height of the festival!"

No... would they really do that? That's not Katsura's moderate Chōshū camp, nor is it their typical sort of behavior... it must be the radical faction. But still, that seems totally excessive, and it's gonna attract a LOT of Hollows if it actually happens.

"Who's responding?" you demand. "Is it the Wolves?"

The Onmitsu nods. "Yes, ma'am. The Shinsengumi are already deploying."

"How didn't we catch this sooner!?" you shout. "Stay on high alert. Kaoru, can you go back to the Seireitei and tell Yoruichi about this?"

Your friend nods immediately, overlooking your minor breach of decorum in using your Captain's given name. "Will do, Riku."

Maybe because in general, having the dead command the living is kind of messed up?

You don't take a gigai at all: there's no time. If the raid on Ikedaya is already in progress, it could be a matter of minutes before a Hollow decides to check it out. So you race towards the inn in your Shinigami form, the darkened streets of Kyoto a blur as you pass arcades and shops that are closed for the night.

The sound of battle and the smell of blood greet you as you arrive at the Ikedaya, where patriots and loyalists alike are tangled in a frantic melee of swords, flashing in the moonlight. A few of them have even taken to the roof to try and get themselves enough space so they don't trip over each other in the dark. Then, you feel it: a powerful Hollow has come through into the living world, just as you'd feared. You follow your senses to a side alley near the inn, where a little bridge crosses a small creek that's been built-in over the years. It's been here just seconds and it's already cut a man to death, a shishi swordsman by the look of him, but on the ground...

“What IS THIS!” Okita shouts, before coughing up a glob of blood as the Hollow turns in your direction with a roar. “MONSTER!”

Wait... can Okita see the Hollow? Either that means he's spiritually aware, or more likely that he's one foot in the grave already.

>Hirenkyaku, sword. There's a chance the thing could counterattack, but you don't care.

With a shout, you deliver a massively powerful kick right to the center of the Hollow's mask... you think it was an Adjuchas, but the strike shatters its mask beyond recognition and sends its body flying into a nearby wall.

Okita looks up at you in shock: yeah, he can definitely see you. “Miss Riku? What is...”

“Never mention this,” you tell him before you feel a sharp impact in your left shoulder. The Adjuchas just recovered from a shot like that? That's not possible... but sure enough the monstrous Hollow's mask has bubbled and begun to reform as it gives a loud cry of rage.

Damn, you hate the loud ones. “Hadō 54: Haien!” you roar, and much to your satisfaction the spell tears away a massive chunk of the regenerating Hollow's face. It roars back at you in fury and pain as it writhes on the ground, the fires of Haien preventing it from regenerating until it's burned beyond recovery. Its corpse disappears into the void, like all Hollows you purify do.

From around a corner, Saitō comes running: hell's bells, how'd his sword get that messed up?

“Are you alive, Okita?” he quips.

The younger Shinsengumi manages to get back to his feet. “I am indeed, Mister Hajime. Somehow.”

“Are your lungs...”

“I'm fine, I swear!” Okita insists, looking around himself: seems he can't see you anymore. “Just a little... complication, that's all.”

As the two Shinsengumi leave the scene, one of your subordinates manages to find you. “Ma'am, you're wounded! Do you need...”

“Just a love tap,” you spit into the dirt. “I got careless. Secure the scene.”

“Of course, Commander.”

I guess they're supposed to do that? Surely someone would have checked to make sure our Zanpakuto is functioning as advertised.
>>
>>39394215
He made it when he was first researching hollowfication and locked it up immediately upon realizing how dangerous it is. He's probably not far off from making it I think. It's after he becomes a captain, before Aizen starts making hollows in soul society.
>>
>>39394265
Yes all hollows do
Except for the ones that go to hell....
>>
>>39394265
We didn't even draw our Zanpakuto. That's just what hollows do when killed in the mortal world so yes it's normal.

Time continues to flow after the incident at Ikedaya. The fighting has moved out of your area of operations, and with it most of the strong fighters. The Kiheitai, a peasant militia spawned by the rebels, the Shinsengumi, Katsura's faction, the other shishi... they've all moved to the north, towards Hokkaido. You hear there's gonna be a major confrontation between the nascent Meiji government and the last holdouts of Tokugawa loyalists.

That comes too late for a lot of swordsmen. Three of the four famous assassins of Kyoto are dead now. Many of the Shinsengumi captains are dead, including their leader Isame. Hijikata dies as well, attempting to capture an ironclad warship from the Imperialists. Harada, the loudmouth who once showed you the place where he tried to commit ritual suicide just to prove he could do it properly (and failed, as you pointed out) is gone. You're not sure where he is, or if he's alive.

Saitō is missing as well, probably still off fighting. He's too stubborn to die, you figure. The others are mostly dead, or have surrendered. Even Okita has returned to Tokyo, his health failing after the Ikedaya raid.

But right now, you're pressed into a more urgent matter: after nearly five years in the field, people will be expecting souvenirs.

Over the next few days you're careful to select nice gifts for the people closest to you in the Seireitei: a nice sword-cleaning kit for Kai and a classy hairpin for Kaoru, along with special items for Yoruichi, her “shadow”, and Kisuke. Man, you really outdid yourself this time, Riku.

Finally, there comes the moment you've been dreading for a while: you want to at least see Okita one last time, before you leave for good. From what you've heard, his state isn't exactly hopeful. In fact it was bad enough he had to leave the Shinsengumi under direct orders, returning to his family home in Tokyo. It turns out to be a classy estate, where a servant happens to have left a window open for you.

You were forced to hand over your gigai when you returned to the Seireitei, and to use the Kuchiki's Senkaimon with Lieutenant Kuchiki's permission. So unfortunately, you're in your Shinigami form.

“Miss Kusajishi,” the warrior greets you as cordially as ever as you enter his bedroom from the garden, much to your surprise. “I must apologize for my sorry state.”

If he can see you like this in your Shinigami form... you realize that this time, he's not going to recover. His gaze narrows over your shoulder, having spotted something behind you.

“Have you been keeping well?” he asks, coughing a little at the end of the sentence.

You nod. “I have. I'll be going home now, so I wanted to say goodbye.”

A painful smile. “There's a lot of that... going... around...” he struggles in between hacking up blood from his ruined lungs. God, this is hard to watch.

He's still looking at whatever it is over your shoulder. “I could come again a bit later?”

“Look at it,” Okita mutters bitterly. “Bastard.”

You turn to see a familiar black cat sitting on a wall out in the garden, which peers down sadly at the scene unfolding in front of it. You figure she was wondering what you insisted on traveling to Tokyo for, so she followed you here in that form.

Okita, however, doesn't see your Captain's arrival for what it is, instead seeing an intruder onto his property that should be chased off. He tries to stand, propping himself up with his sheathed sword, but falls back in a heavy coughing fit. His sheets are stained by the blood that manages to seep through his fingers, and frustrated tears stream freely down his face.

“I'm a swordsman of the Shinsengumi!” Okita cries out, his usual air of casual confidence blown away like fog in the wind, “but I can't... even cut... a damn cat... so how... can I help... comrades...”

After a life that revolved wholly around his skill and strength as a swordsman, Okita's body has betrayed him. He still has the will to fight for what he believes in, but with his body in this state he doesn't even have the strength to use his sword on a stray cat let alone against the Ishin Shishi. All he had left of his pride and dignity has evaporated in what are likely to be his final hours, perhaps even minutes of life.

"Do you think death is the end Okita? Even the dead have comrades to protect, battles to fight and swords they can wield."
>>
>>39394788
You wait, until it seems like Okita's body and soul have started to separate a little, his soul still lingering in his desperation to feel useful to his fellow Shinsengumi... to be able to lift his sword again... to do anything at all. But you can tell that his body is already dead, his soul being the only thing keeping up the illusion of life.

“Will it work now?” you ask the cat, who nods silently.

With a deep sigh you kneel next to the former Shinsengumi captain, gently pushing him back down into bed. Just a nudge is all it takes: a stiff breeze could have done it in your place. “That's enough, Sōji. There's nothing more for you to do here, so I think it's time for you to let go and have faith in Saitō and the others.”

“Wouldn't you agree?”

Okita looks at you with tears still in his eyes, as if suddenly realizing something, before laughing softly to himself. “I see... death was always so close to us all, for such a long time. At last, I can... greet her... like an old... friend...”

Raising Tenkotsuki's hilt above the forehead of the man you knew as Okita Sōji, you bring it down slowly to meet his forehead. His last breath is peaceful, neither ravaged by his disease nor drowned in sorrow. At least you were able grant him that, in the end.

“Give me a moment, Yoruichi,” you tell the cat, who bows her head in quiet understanding. Even Tenkotsuki feels like she's weeping. “I won't be long.”

Later that day, a stunned attendant would find the former Shinsengumi dead, with a single flower laid across his chest. His pale blue uniform jacket, which once struck fear in the hearts of the Kyoto shishi, was also “misplaced” some time around his death: which happened to be when you first replaced your old white sash with the pale blue one that you would later make famous.

"Good to be back," you reply, putting an arm around her. "You could have waited until you were dressed, at least."

"Shut up."

“You need pants,” you observe calmly. “I can give you mine, or...”

Yoruichi laughs before shaking her head. “Much as I wouldn't mind, that'd just mean you'd need pants.”

Your Captain takes a moment to put on some of her own clothes before grabbing Kisuke and Suí Fēng for you, who meet you in her quarters. You explain to them that you've brought each of them a present from Kyoto.

“For mister Bankai here,” you begin, pulling out a small box from a bag your brought from the living world, “I brought back a copy of Nöel Chomel's scientific encyclopedia, translated into Japanese by Utagawa”

Kisuke flips through the tome, his eyes practically gleaming as he pours over page after page of technical discussion of optical lenses, magnets, thermometers, and various other gadgets that have barely begun to catch on in Japan. He looks like a boy who's been handed the keys to a candy shop and been told to 'be good'. He doesn't even bother to ask who told you he had completed his Bankai training while you were gone.

Next you turn to Suí Fēng: she looks older now than she did, but her short crop of black hair and her eyes are easily recognizable. “We've only met once, a long time ago,” you tell her, “but I wanted to get you something. Consider it a thank you gift for looking after my Captain all this time... I know she can be a handful.”

You hand her a small hairbrush, finely crafted of lacquered hardwood in the Aizu style featuring a gilded inlaid dragonfly. She thanks you quietly, as if trying not to look impressed or overly grateful, but you think she likes it.

“And now, for Yoruichi,” you announce, producing the small gift you brought back for your captain. She's been trying to keep a cool facade, but she can't help smiling as she sees it.

Well yeah, even if you have lots of ghost magic, you still need to know how to fight. But I'm saying that I don't think being the best warrior in life means you'll be able to produce reishi/need to eat when you're dead.

Suí Fēng shakes her head in apparent disbelief. “A jar, Lieutenant? Don't you think the Shihōin Cla...”

“It's finely crafted,” Yoruichi interrupts as she takes the incense burner from you, looking it over. The open metalwork in azure shibuichi and silver rolls like wild ocean waves between heavy framing of iron, making for a rather striking display. “I like it.”

You smirk. “You'll like what's inside it better.”

“It's wood?” Suí Fēng mutters as the lid comes off. “Why?”

“Not just wood... agarwood!” Yoruichi exclaims, eyes widening ever so slightly in excitement. She prods the piece of wood with her fingers, testing the oil content before wafting a bit of air towards her nose. “So much oil, and it's got a good scent! Where'd you get this, Riku?”

Shrugging, you simply turn to Kisuke. “You think you can replicate it?”

“Do it,” Yoruichi demands, tossing the wood at her friend. “Kyara like this is perfect for kōdō.”

“What?” Suí Fēng asks loudly. “I don't understand, what did she get you, Executive?”

Yoruichi walks over to a small drawer, and pulls out a piece of aromatic wood to heat in the new burner you brought back for her, waving it at her bodyguard before it goes in. “Kadō, chadō, and kōdō: flower arrangement, tea ceremony, and incense ceremony. They're the three “arts of refinement”, little bee. Of the three, the lattermost is the hardest to do.”

“Wood with oil of that quality and quantity,” you continue, pointing to your gift, “is really rare. Cost me twice its weight in gold, but Hijikata suggested a vendor with that quality of wood.”

Your Captain lights her incense and takes her seat again, and the room fills with a heavenly scent. “If Kisuke can reproduce that, I can make some top notch incense. You'll have helped make a LOT of officers and nobles very happy, Riku: myself among them. Good work.”

“Remind me to get my kōbako out for you some evening. I'll show you how it's done,” Yoruichi smiles.

Good lord, the worst part about that was you're not even sure if it was intentional or not. Even Kisuke seems a bit taken aback... a kōbako, of course, being a box used to store incense in as well as a double entendre. Amazingly, Suí Fēng doesn't seem to get it at all... such a sheltered girl.

“Do you even... nevermind,” he mutters. “Of course you do.”

The rest of the evening is spent in relative comfort: Kisuke tells you about his Bankai training, you recount the lighter events of the five years of Bakumatsu, and share some of Harada's jokes. Yoruichi tells an embarrassing story about Suí Fēng, then to even things out tells one about you and Kisuke. But eventually you begin to run out of energy, the weight of the years and the emotional drain of watching so many people go to their deaths crashing down on you.

“I have to get some shuteye,” you excuse yourself with a massive yawn. “If I'm not up on time, someone come in and get me.”

“I understand, Lieutenant,” Yoruichi nods gently, seeing you to the door before leaning in to whisper something in your ear.

“Tomorrow, where we always train. There's one last technique I can give you as your master... and I think you're finally ready for it.”

"Rest well. You'll need it."

You got her a piece of rare wood that's well suited to making the very finest, most expensive incense from: which is one of Yoruichi's hobbies as a noblewoman (one of the few highbrow things about her).

Kisuke plans to try and recreate the combination of oils and grain that made it such a high-quailty specimen so that Yoruichi can have enough fine incense to share with influential Shinigami.

So that's all for this morning's session. Glad you stuck with it! The archive is up on sup/tg/, and expect an updated character sheet in a minute or two.

It's one of several slang terms for "vagina" in Japanese. Originally it mean "little box", and can still be used to refer to small, box-like things.

It's rarely used to describe incense anymore, since it's a largely dying art due to good agarwood costing $300 an ounce or more.

u fokken wot?

Sorry, but the Old Man is the epitome of badass all-rounder, and the only one who is really an all rounder. (Aizen doesn't count, he cheats with that damn orb)

The other badasses have extreme focuses.

Aizen was a bad ass all rounder before he even got the orb. Urahara is a bad ass all rounder too. Kyorakku and Ukitake are both well rounded as well. The only ones that are narrowly mono focused I can think of are Zaraki, Ichigo, Gin and maybe Yoruichi. Every other monofocused character I can think of routinely get their shit wrecked.
>>
>>39396329
I thought Gin was pretty good at kidou and sword in addition to fast? It's just that he spends 90% of his appearances in the series just leering at people.
>>
>>39396329
The problem is that ALL of the captains save a few are actually specialized.

They all have a functional understanding on all subjects for their rank (a captain is obviously going to be better overall than their lieutenants, after all [unless it's their replacement coming up!]) so it seems like they are all rounders.

Zaraki is the MOST specialized of all the characters being melee and tank ONLY, not even any ranged sword attacks.

Ichigo is next.

Urahara is a badass all rounder because he is smart and utilizes all his tools

Aizen was good, but I bet without the orb swelling his strength Urahara would actually be better than him

Youruichi is decent all around, but has a melee focus with speed emphasized heavily, she can do kido and knows it well enough, but that is becase she is experienced and a captain

Soi Fon is similar, but I would say overall far less experienced

Byakuya is massive speed focus with a secondary in Kido

The two old guys are overall decent because, again, the old and smart ones are the ones to watch out for.

Toshiro is mainly a glass canon focused around his bankai, everything else of his is honestly rather mediocre compared to his counterparts.

Mayuri fights by not fighting, he's the true misdirection type, kills without raising a finger if he can

Just because they -can- do everything doesn't mean they are good all rounders.
>>
>>39396370
Yeah, he was a prodigy so I woudln't be surprised if he was good at Kido. I just don't remember him using any or any unarmed techniques. Other than leering at people I only remember him using his lightning fast extendo sword.
>>
>>39396413
That's the thing. He's so good all he has to do is leer. De-buffing the whole cast. Man has scary face down to an art.
>>
>>39396412
Komamura is pretty good at strong, but his real talent lies in soaking obscene amounts of damage.

...Which is barely a talent at all really.
>>
>>39396490
Kenny still damage soaked better! And dealt damage better.

And had better hair.

And clothes/style.

Cooler sword...

Man, the only thing Koma had was his face.
>>
>>39396412
I don't classify all the captains into the bad ass category personally. They usually all had their moments but hell Toshiro and Komamura were both pretty unimpressive and Ukitake and Unohana rarely do anything. Tosen seemed a bit mediocre outside of his bankai.

Byakuya is also pretty decent at swordsmanship from what we've seen of him. The only area he never really demonstrated proficiency was Hakuda.

Mayuri is kind of an outlier, since he relies on ghost science instead of anything else, kind of like a science kenpachi really.

>>39396490
Yeah he was pretty solidly the weakest captain.
>>
>>39396507
Dammit Yachiru you're too young to be on the internet! Don't you have a shoulder to warm?
>>
Just got off work, working my way through the old thread so I'm not sure if it's been said yet, but...
HOLY SHIT OUR BANKAI COULD POSSIBLY NEGATE AIZEN'S ILLUSIONHAX!
>>
>>39396575
Our shikai can as well if we know he's using it.
>>
>>39396539
I only think a couple of them were badass.

And Byakuya would have functioning knowledge of Hakuda, he's a captain, he just never uses it because lol!infinite-swords.

The way to measure if someone is an all rounder is to watch how they fight.

The Old Man doesn't hesitate to use any of his techniques that he needs to.

Urahara actively fights using kido, his zanpakto, and his brain, and having hung out around Yoruichi for so long you know he is more than likely highly skilled in Hakuda.

Most captains all end up defaulting to

>Bankai, kill guy

and pretty much every bankai takes out traditional fighting methods which is annoying.
>>
>>39396575
Probably, but unless Yamamoto is nearby, we'd still lose.
>>
>>39396594
Also Urahara's position as warden of the Maggot's Nest necessitated him being a master of Hakuda, since no zanpakutos allowed within the premises.
>>
>>39396573
It's funny, cause she is probably older than all of us here.
>>
>>39396606
Forgot about that.

You know, I bet if you supercharged Urahara he would be up to snuff with Old Man Genocide.

Until the cranky bastard decided to show off how he got his nickname.
>>
>>39396575
Okay, it has been addressed. Also lets us shut down Quincy archery pretty hard.
>>
>>39396622
Let's put it this way, if Aizen had decided on a different life path Urahara would be 2nd or 3rd in strength amongst the captains around the start of bleach, with the old man being above him and maybe Unohana being above him. He's definitely above both Kyoraku and Ukitake since Aizen couldn't cut him down even with the orb supercharging him.

If he was supercharged he could probably stand a chance against Yamamoto yeah.

Speaking of does anyone else figure Riku secretly hates being weaker than Kiske or even Yoruichi?
>>
>>39396587
