We got ourselves a brand new ship, and she's a beaut. With a giant cannon and now all we need is a crew and to set out on patrol on our first day on the job.

Damn, I wish you had gotten the pirate ship.

Fits into our hard and fast tactics, allows us to use our elite combine crew to maximal effect, and lets us easily finance upgrades to our ship or even acquire more ships.

Scrap left over after a fuckhuge cannon blasts our enemies to smithereens is a lot less valuable than an intact ship.

Indeed. Doesn't help you got a bombardment tier cannon and batteries. Meaning that you give up a bit of raw power in exchange for being able to use different kinds of munitions.

Capturing ships is VERY useful especially as ships ain't cheap. Especially for the Combine has they like splurge unlike the Republic.

Thought I was gonna wait till Tuesday so here we go next job is a patrol mission.

You have a mostly human crew except for a unit of cyber monsters, some combine elite squads(two), and a sin soldier.

Your forces are MOSTLY students. The only true regulars you have onboard are the monsters. Who are Sirens by the way who are especially gifted for ship to ship combat from way back.

Their song if it doesn't kill you is noted for its paralyzing properties followed by a slowing effect. Rather its a question of how long you live before you die.

They are a monstrous female only species so their noted for there parasitic and predatory nature along with monstrous beauty.

-----
Eventually once you get your shipped properly crewed you head out with a few other student ships to the meeting point...

lets see if everything goes according to plan.
>>
Rolled 92 (1d100)

>>39425129
So it does. They were a little late but they eventually arrived. You could see the Combine patrol was equipped with a carrier, a few cruisers, couple destroyers, decent number of frigates, and lots of corvettes.

There you and others were swapped out for corvettes. Where you were assigned to a squadron of other corvettes. Most of whom were veterans but you and few others were students. The position they made you take was clearly for your protection as they set out for a jump.

That was when you got your first order. This wasn't gonna be a long patrol so you wouldn't be equipped with a supply ship instead its a moderate patrol lap through Combine neutral space and company. You are expected to help out to any calls of alarms, crush pirates, and fight anyone else who dares enter Combine or member space who isn't an ally.

If a member requests aid you are to answer it unless its infighting. If its an outsider though permission automatically granted to engage. Otherwise you may just watch.

Once the patrol is partially done they'll hand you cadets along with a few other Combine ships to member patrols within their own turf. This is mostly to serve as a source of aid and wiping out anything troublesome.

This is so that way with the home patrols its their homeground so they'll know their shit even with lack of equipment.

So after that you set out on patrol. Which as you found out was extremely boring and quite the let down.

Gonna need some rolls for scans.

Of course it is

But here's the thing

Capturing a ship means we didn't blow our enemies to smithereens and kingdom come.

And that's where the fun is at.

Something like that yes. Be aware that it tends to compromise the ship design unless its specially made for it.

It also takes up a LOT of slots and space.

Corvettes are a thing because their stupid cheap and easy to produce. Frigates are a middle ground while the most expensive/largest option is a cruiser.

They sorta serve as a catch all generalist vessel that is commonly made and modified to serve different tasks.

Unlike the first part of the journey...the second more than made up for trouble. As suddenly you got hit with a barrage of requests for aid. If that hadn't been bad enough this region of space is ridden with pirates and you found yourselves under attack when you jumped in.

The carrier started to unleash its drones while the cruisers took up formation around it. The destroyers meanwhile with frigate escorts zoomed out to the enemy.

You however got orders to withdrawal to serve in aid requests. Which is where all the corvettes and frigates were ordered to attend to. Apparently the rest of the Combine forces believe they have it in hand and are keeping the enemy occupied.

Which group do you wish to attend?

Scans indicate Combine World is under assault.

It would appear its getting hit rather heavily with some third party faction who brought quite the fleet to attack it.

Already the space station has been lost as and the orbital defenses are being blown away...

Their member fleets or whats left of them are hard pressed despite having called in reinforcements.

Force Composition

Allies
>Damaged Carrier
>2 wounded Juggernauts
>2 Wounded Dreadnoughts
>6 battered heavy cruisers

all their other ships been lost leaving a burning wreckage and flotsam throughout the system...

It would appear when the enemies jumped in they sent out a fleet to deal with them but lost. So the battle carried on over to the world in question with reinforcements being called in.

...currently it would appear you are first responders of de facto Combine forces. With you here to aid and send out your own distress signals more Combine forces aught to appear eventually.

Currently the battle is raging over the world and the enemy has forces scattered around picking through the carcasses.

You jumped in on 'top' of the system while the other half jumped in on the bottom.

Your force composition is 20 corvettes with 8 frigates.

The enemy forces are divided where initial battle took place contains 2 destroyers and 4 frigates who are raiding through the remains.

During the retreat there is 1 light cruiser with 4 corvettes.

Over the world the enemy has deployed their heaviest forces of 2 heavy cruisers, 6 destroyers, 12 frigates, and 25 corvettes.

Your orders are to sweep in from at the planned retreat location. A portion of your forces and your other half will go after the wrecked fleet while the rest prepare to screen you depending on the enemy response.

What are your orders?

>Charge
>hang back
>Blast from Afar
>Aid distressed vessels
>other?
>>
>>39428566
I'm guessing we didn't find any other alternative targets to convince the pirates to raid and that the combine would raid with them huh?

>sadface

Rolled 53 (1d100)

>>39428566
The enemy has a number of support vessels scattered throughout mostly being a motly mixture of transports, haulers, a supply ship, scavengers, and boarding/invading vessels.

They are scattered and under the protection of a few escorts mostly being corvettes and frigates with the odd light cruiser. Most of them have descended upon the our allied forces or their remains to take what they can.

>>39428622
You could try. Your sensors actually picked up a seperate fleet of enemy vessels who appear to be largely noncombatants and support ships. Your forces only knows of a few of them drifting around in system instead of the ones hanging out of the system a safe ways.

By some strange miracle your ship picked up on them.

>Your orders are to sweep in from at the planned retreat location.

Just trying to make sense of this is all.

By 'retreat location' do you mean we are attacking from the direction some of our injured allies are retreating yes?

And we only have to concern ourself with our ship correct?

We also can choose which 'portion' we join in (the on going after the wrecked fleet, or the one going to be screened)

Correct me if I'm missing anything
>>
Rolled 62 (1d100)

>>39429688
If we only have to concern ourselves with OUR ship and nobody elses, that becomes significantly easier.

My vote is that we use our ship as it is intended.

We are a slightly armored corvette with a frigate, making us something of a mobile tank destroyer with some shrapnell capability. While we aren't meant for head to head combat with ships of equal size or fast hit and runs, we have the armor to shrug off light shots and the firepower to target the heavier things so we should use it to best use.

Thus
>other?
>Attach ourselves to a unit of small fast vessels who can protect us at the same time we provide them with our heavier firepower to tackle the big things they can't
>Aid distressed vessels

Like a TD/Artillery piece it is absolutely vital we provide ourselves with friendly support and cover. We will use our allies as our cover and help them with our firepower where its needed.

Rolled 19 (1d100)

You attach yourself to a few corvettes who didn't have a frigate to back them and you head out. Problem came with the damned light cruiser though as it packed big enough weapons to blow away in a single hit while covering for the 4 corvettes. So battle was nasty with you seeing an entire corvette get lit up and destroyed with a single hit. Meanwhile another corvette got blasted injuring its ability to move and the light cruiser took aim. You could hear the panicked cries of the students onboard when a Combine Corvette slammed it out the way perishing in its stead.

Now however the battle was down to the Light Cruiser and two corvettes. You meanwhile fired some pot shots while the frigates tried to bring down the much larger cruiser. The rest of the ships you were with meanwhile did their best to aid allied vessels.

Still you managed to put down enough firepower that kept the cruiser discouraged long enough for the wounded corvette to limp out of the way.

Now however...

What do?

>Keep firing
>Try to flank the cruiser
>Shoot at one of its corvettes
>Disengage
>Other?

Currently you already lost a some corvettes and have a wounded frigate.
>>
Rolled 26 (1d100)

>>39430920
Okay, we need to take out that Light Cruiser but we can't do that until we can approach it without being molested by its escorts.

Here's a risky idea, but it's worth a shot.

>Continue to fire upon the Cruiser, trying to suppress it from firing back
>Have the others take out its corvette escort

Once that is done, all that should be left is our forces and the Crusier.

Then comes the tricky part.

>Have the Corvettes make fast hit and runs from different angles, distracting its firepower and suppressing its guns
>Use our enhanced mobility to flank the cruiser to where its less armed, moving while firing to provie us cover with smoke/flak shell munitions if we have any
>Fire off a single, AP shot into the part of the hull that's less armed/armored
>Swoop in an out of the hole in the hull and drop some bombs
>Get the hell out of dodge while the bombs detonate

Now you have lost additional corvettes and two badly wounded frigates.

The light cruiser though is starting to take a beating but the damned escorts keep on getting in the way.

dat roll.

You decide to focus your attention away from the cruiser for the time being and fire upon escorts. You felt a oddly familiar sensation as you were about to fire again at the cruiser when a certain memory came up in regards to sniping and piloting.

"When you continually shoot a certain target it tends to lure those around it into a false sense of security. There is a way to exploit this false sense of belief."

Yes...you remember that lesson. She managed to wipe out an amazing amount of craft before the simulation caught on.

So you waited until an escort got particularly close and that was when you adjusted your aim at the last possible moment. Sending out the blast and blasting the escort sending it veering of course badly. In rapid succession you swung the cannon out and fired upon the other escort. Blasting it as it was caught off guard thereby wiping them both at once enough to easily be finished up.

That was when the frigates were able to finally get into position and opened fired upon the cruiser bringing it down.

It was then you were hailed by the Commander who congratulated you on your smart thinking and quick reflexes to quickly take down both escorts creating the much needed opening.

And so you were able to take that area of space when you looked around you could see the battle was heated and continued waging in both locations.

It wasn't really looking too good until some Combine ships warped into space and started moving out. This patrol apparently according their comms was based from a nearby Combine facility when they got the duel requests.

According to them the base is rallying its big guns to come to the aid.

Gained reinforcements

>1 Combine Carrier
>2 Light Cruisers
>4 Frigates
>8 Corvettes

That was when you got orders.

Apparently both sides of your forces weren't doing so well as they both had to dive into places where there were many more enemies...there were apparently even student losses despite best efforts.

Meanwhile the battle over the world was still raging with our sides having taken heavy losses the enemy meanwhile only less so.

They lost their carrier and both the dreadnoughts along with 2 of their heavy cruisers.

Meanwhile that was when you heard a strange blaring alarm you never heard before...

"Oh shit."

The students meanwhile weren't sure what to do as suddenly the Combine vessels started to jet away asap fleeing from the small craft that they CLEARLY outsized.

This kept on wiggling a part of your mind but you couldn't quite place it until you asked the AI.

"Hm...this is a Republic Stealthed Deep Strike force."

"What?"

"You noticed that they had a caravan and were meant for long ranged operations yes?"

"Yeah I figured it was just a Clan or some shit."

"Not exactly...you are aware how most conflict between the big powers are at the border regions yes?"

"Well obviously."

"And how they rarely deep strike each other due to the war problems so use 'other' parties."

"So...oh."

"Yes there is a operation done by Republic of when they employ these third parties...OR make themselves look like one of them."

"Wait then you can't mean..."

The machines they unleashed are perfect for this sorta thing and any attempts to create cohesion are met with a fateful death even behind our lines.

Even the personal forces Lillian lended to you are worried as well as the Elite Combine Squads put under your care.

They suggest you retreat and the Lillian's force agree. Best to evac because guess who is gonna be their number 1 target?

Also suggest calling for help but they are doubtful how successful that will be considering the situation.

What do?

Fine then! They want us so badly eh?

Close all bulkhead doors, and do whatever we can to buy time for our forces to get to the escape pods. If need be, sacrifice whatever grunts or bots we have to holding them back at all costs.

Evac the rest of our forces and ourselves to the nearby captains ship.

As an emergency precaution, prep the ships weapons and explosives against sabotage. . .if they absolutely attempt to hack into the ship and control it, we'll need to prepare to detonate it.

See if we can't rearange the explosives to cause maximum damage without destroying the ship entirely. She's been rebuilt before and we can rebuild her again. So prepare a Trap.

Request immediate backup and inform them we have Republic Spec Ops on our ship. If we can contain them here, activate explosives, and flood the ship with grunts we can capture them then and here.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d100)

>>39435908
Actually, no WAIT.

They'll be expecting us to go to the escape pods.

Prep the explosives there.

Request a nearby corvette or anything at all to move by and take us from where we are, attach and pull us out of the bridge directly if we must.

Bulkhead doors closing...WARNING hacks detected.

Forces committing a fighting retreat towards head of ship.

Escape pods trapped.

Systems prepped but its hard considering they are already being hacked into.

Request sent...request granted by Combine forces who are sending in relieving forces. Damn that excellent roll.

Meanwhile your batshit insane request went silently unanswered on the comms...you were right about to give up hope when a voice answered.

"What is nobody gonna answer the pretty lady?"

"She is fucking INSANE!"

"Yeah its not possible!"

That was when the voice responds. "PSht just because you guys suck so hard you consider it 'impossible' doesn't mean its not possible. OI CAPTAIN TURN DIS SHIP AROUNDS!"

"...no."

"I has engine key."

"...You can't be serious?"

"Captain I is capable of this."

"Well convince me. IF your right I will move this ship to save our comrades."

"Heh all you had to say is say just that. You see that dere Darling is an old ship that has suffered many a nasty scrap and countless repairs roight? Which just so happens to leave certain weaknesses and messes with the intergrity. So all I haz to do is track these irregularities and take advantage of the weakpoints ripping er out."

"...Is that even possible?"

"I gots da plans roight ere captain oh captain!"

"...Fuck it fine."

"WOOPOEEE OI let me get me camera!"

"...why do you need a camera?" Speaks up a confused voice.

"Well duh because dis shit is gonna be AWESOME and I am SO READY FOR DIS!"

"Who the fuck is that guy?"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fmwMXEUW0I song related.

and so the corvette got in position and you could see some teams jump over and strange machinery brought out...also some BIG ass fucking hooks and chains.

"HEY GIRLY AFFTER DIS YOU IS GONNA OWE ME A DRINK FOR YOUR DARLING! Seriously though this poor fucking ship.."

You could the ship shake and quiver as the work was done for the utterly insane plan...you could also feel a LOT of stares. Meanwhile over the comms inbetween the guy shouting out orders you could hear him singing.

-----

Meanwhile in certain parts of the ship.

"Got the explosives laid out?"

"Yep detected motion over the escape pods. Likely the officers are trying to escape along with whoever goons can make it too."

"Alright good that we have some guys over there. Lets just finish up here and finish the job."

"Yes sir."

----

That was when you felt a large tremor as the booby trap at the escape pod went off...and then some much larger explosives and REALLY loud alarms were set off indicating the ammo dumps are exploding...which means your fucked.

SHIP SECRET ACTIVATED!

>Darling's Denial

Son of a bitch I didn't think this would activate so soon.

That is until you heard this ungodly loud tearing sound and the corvette's engines flare up. Suddenly the tearing and shaking was gone...and many alarms went down. That was when you noticed that you were in fact moving. Looking back though...you could of sworn you saw a ghostly looking human Combine Captain waving at you before taking his hat off and bowing just as he got consumed in the inferno...

You could of sworn you heard a voice speak to you in your head which said "A captain must always go down with their ship, so this time I shall be here in your stead..."

"FUCK YEESSS I HAS IT ALL ON CAMERA! EVEN DA EXPLOSIONS WHICH MADE IT SOMehow even MOAR awesome! HAHAH I IS GENIUS!"

"No, you're fucking madman," interrupts someone over comms.

"So hey girly captain how about dat dere date eh," the guy asks without missing a beat and completely ignoring the guy making fun of his sanity.

And so you were taken away...as a chunk of scrap with questionable life support and gravity, but hey at least your still alive.

Shame about the ship though.

The battle continued waging and finally ended once enough Combine forces arrived that tipped the scales enough to force the enemy to withdrawal.

The morale of your...crew I mean they are still your crew right? Was rather low all things considered though they were thankful to still be alive.

Eventually the battle ended...though it took some serious work trying to figure out how the hell they were gonna get you out. Thankfully the one who originally came up with the mad scheme had yet another solution available to him so you were able to all get out and taken to another ship.

However now you are wondering what is next and much more importantly how the hell are you gonna explain this...

You decide to to make a prayer before contacting the officer pair...you are fairly certain your gonna need it. Also you like totally aren't delaying contacting Lillian. No siree.

So you sent out the message before going to sleep...its been a long few days. When you awoke you found yourself with two messages in your inbox.

One is from the pair saying they'll see you soon and how could you lose their ship?

The other was from Combine Command saying they found a solution and that you were gonna be transferred over to member patrol to continue your duty...but you wont have your own ship.

When you were getting up however you found that a number of Lillians lended elites...were waiting for you. They than dragged you to a strange room where a few of them had set up a strange device.

When they activated it you could see the look of a fairly annoyed Lillian with a withering gaze.

"So let me get this straight not ONLY did you lose MY ship on your first outing you ALSO fucked up your DUTIES!"

You could feel everyone tremble in the room yourself included...you are painfully well aware just how bad Lillian's wrath could be.

"Not only that I had to find out that the PERSON you were supposed to take care of ACTUALLY saved your sorry asses because you panicked like a bunch of little pansies when you got invaded by Republic Spec Ops? HOW you had HOMEGROUND for fucks sake!"

"Well...they had boarding bots and we had mere students," You try to explain.

"Why the fuck did you think I lent you some of my Commandos then?"

That was when the others in the room spoke up in your stead.

"Multiple deteriorated breach points and their spec ops infiltrated easily thanks to their hacking of which we had little means of defense. So we tried to escape by pod..."

"but?"

"They already had that locked down which Abigail noted and arranged for different extraction means."

"So...let me get this straight," Lillian began as she looked increasingly livid.

"I read the reports." These she shook before you by hologram. Despite being in pajama bottoms and wearing an open bathroom she looked horrifyingly scary. That was when she looked at you.

"You lost me a ship and failed mission objectives on your FIRST RUN! That though...that isn't the worst part. That part belongs to the fact that you lost dearly treasured gift. That part however I cannot punish you for as that privilege no...pleasure will belong to those two."

That was when she shifted her gaze the rest of those in the room. There was a long period of silence as she spread her icing gaze over each and every one examining them coldly.

That was the worst part about her rages. It wasn't when she was livid it was when she turned icy. For that meant she was gonna do something about it...so she calms down so hard that her coolness turns to icy.

"You not only failed in mission objectives you also failed in your other duties. I gave you the job of protecting and guiding my Abigail...of which you both failed. Not only that SHE had to save your asses and right your wrongs. You were gonna lead them into a trap...you panicked. You failed. You who were suppose to be my best."

You could actually see them sweating so hard it dripped from their armor.

"You failed every possible objective I AND the Combine had...the punishments that await you oh you are going to WISH they were out of this world. So your dismissed for now."

"Now as for yourself Abigail you did good covering for your elder sisters who were SUPPOSE to protect, care, and guide their younger. Of which they all failed spectacularly. So while you did lose a ship and failed the Combine you did good taking your enemies with you along with excellent skills of that aiming with your ship. Reminds of me a certain someone cunt decided to go enlist to escape my claws...ah that just makes me like em even more. Anyway you did good saving your forces and yourself."

"However that doesn't mean I wont be taking the loss of that ship and dishonor out of your hide. While the Combine may forgive you for the failures due to your student nature...I wont. Hell they might even reward you for taking down those spec ops!"

That was when she leaned closer and you could see the tip of nipples as she stared into your very soul with that icy gaze. You started to sweat uncontrollably and shook visibly...something you always took pride in was avoiding the shaking. You were never able to manage that with Lillian.

"I also heard you decided to turn down my offer for clan membership...and not only that you joined the CRIME CLANS of all Clans!" that last part she practically roared...until you realized it was in fact a whisper.

"I had thought of you as worthy of joining my clan with such heavy recommendation from others as well you saw it too...and we had even sought you as sister. Yet you threw that away in our faces even mine...you thought that due to my softness. That my caring that in regards to yourself that I was weak..."

Fuck softness really? I mean she was really weird around you and she certainly treated you less harshly...which isn't saying all that much but still. That was however when you realized you saw some tears in the corners of her eyes.

"..I knew I was weak, but for some god forsook reason I couldn't help it. Even when I FINALLY thought that when you broached that issue and challenge oh so long ago...I couldn't see it as i should. Instead I saw as to how I could help you as I could not have helped her during her time of gravest need. I tend to get that a lot it would seem."

"So for you in particular...now that I know your answer I can no longer bring myself to treat you as i had before!" While her smile showed how overjoyed she was over this...her eyes told a very different story.

"For now I know it, the false hopes and dead dreams..are now no more. So congrats Abigail you will soon be forever free from me!"
>>
>>39438595
"Weakness? No.

You were and still are the strongest person I've ever met in my life.

Deciding which clan to join was the hardest decision of my life.

But. . .I have friends."

Abigail takes out a picture out of her pocket, torn and dirty just like the letter. A bunch of street rats, posing in front of a kindly old geezer but with a stern look on his aged face.

This picture she kept with her since before she even arrived.

"Friends who I never forgotten. Who took care of me and I took care of them when I was a nobody.

Who I made a PROMISE to reach the very top and one day come back and bring them with me.

And I'm gonna keep that promise to my last breath.

If you want to cut that bond because I want to keep mine, fine. But know I'll never cut my end.

You will always be that one person I look up to. I was always the big sister to my friends.

You are big sister I never had."

She stood there in silence as she listened before glancing away and down to the side. After a little while you could see her chest shutter before she spoke.

"You remind me way of her too goddamn much. ..and yes everyone does indeed need a big sis. Just like your brother by blood."

Wait how does she know about your brother? You never talked about that to anyone once.

"Well unlike with her...I do not have to fail you. So I will assure you of this I WILL return your blood brother."

"As for us being sister..." that was when her face grimaced in pain before the transmission ended.

You were in complete and utter shock...you had been there when it happened. You had seen your brother get taken by the monsters...despite having kept him safe for all that time on the final fucking stretch to being home free...that was when it just HAD to happen.

To see those hope and happy eyes turn to such despair and the loss of that cheerful relieved smile...yet somehow he was maybe just maybe still alive and out there?

Just...without his big sis there. That left a nasty gnawing in your belly as a weight descended there crushing your brief moment of happiness.

After all you had seen what they do to people...and that is just the ones they kill. For those they take much less keep alive...

-----

Meanwhile on the other side of the ended message tears ran down her face as she slammed her fist into the bulkhead.

"Damn it...DAMN IT! How can we be sisters when with that...well at least I can do that much for her."

With that she cleaned up and headed out. After all she had some strong leads and there was still time.

Now you just need to give Jakob a chance.
>>
>>39449178
I have reasons to shy away from Jakob

My ideas about motivation or character for him are hard to see fulfilled considering recent developments.

I had envisioned his motivation to reach the top and achieve as to fulfill familial expectations, because he was a [Insert Last Name Here] and as a member of his illustrious family it was expected of him to become an admiral or a general or something else.

Though, not him per say. As the youngest and weakest they were content if he just became vice admiral or something and could just put out of their minds.

Considering that, always being overshadowed by his older siblings, he wanted to prove his name against them. To beat them and succeed over them.

And more than that to his name among his siblings but among his ancestors as the best [Insert Last Name Here] that ever was.

I just view getting lobotomized in an extremely dim light, as well that his parents are "probably dead and he never knew them". Can't exactly prove yourself to mom and pop if you don't give a shit about them.
>>
Rolled 50 (1d100)

>>39449134
Who do you think it is?

>>39450668
He knew his parents and his family was aiming to be more prestigious as it was already filthy rich. As he got older and figured out his sister she came up with excuses to take him in and they humored her a bit.

Then the infighting happened for control. LOTS of family died during it and its vast fortunes also took a hit.

The one who came out on top was his sister and she wasn't done yet though with the killing...so she purged and kept purging. After all she wanted complete power and didn't want any potential rebellions or fighting to take power from her.

It ended with her being a tyrant ruling with an iron fist and...there not being really any surviving resistance or even potential resist when she finished. After that consolidated of power she worked on rebuilding the fortunes and the prestige.

Right now the family has been utterly purged and she is busy rebuilding.
>>
>>39450668
You're not thinking enough like a mastermind. I'll explain later when i'm not stuck on my phone.
>>
>>39450993
See, thats why her sister is so much more a better mastermind. I'd kinda want to play her instead

Still maybe this is useful though.

It gives us a goal to reach at least.

Perhaps as a life-path goal before we graduate, we set ourselves to awakening our inner mastermind and beating her, proving ourselves a true mastermind.

That would actually be a good motivation.

You meanwhile in total shock headed out to eat at the celebration meal. However due to how...gloomy you and company you they tried to avoid you understandably and you being a spoil sport at the moment sat with the gloomy crowd.

Sitting there in shock eventually one of the Elites looked up at you and spoke.

"Sorry about what happened...we sorta knew she wasn't gonna take you joining the Crime Clans real well."

"Yeah sorta last straw...and she always did take it easy on you until then."

"Shame about what will be done for you...we ain't so sure you'll be able to handle what she does."

That was when you finally spoke.

"...She said my brother is still alive and that'll she find him. Didn't say anything about that."

"Huh?"

"So your still tight? How the hell when you turned down the..."

"Hah your good...fuck we so screwed."

So you ate in shocked while the others were most not looking forward to meeting Lillian in person.

After awhile you managed to shake it off sorta right in time for the drink with the crazy mofo who actually managed to pull of that stunt. Weird enough fellow, good sense of humor and so skilled. He was great to drink with and even understood the stuff you had with the bandit tech and even the stunt pulled with teh AI!(so maybe you had a few too many) but he actually complimented you on the ability of taking the AI much to Nixy's misery when stated 'don't encourage her' which just made the guy laugh.

First person you met since you left the slums that understood the beauty in da tek. You were half tempted to take the guy to bed with you but then you remembered you drunk a little too much and best to sober up first so instead you arranged for another date.

>>39451180

>>
Rolled 38 (1d100)

>>39451289
His expression when he first saw though you still makes you giggle and he actually managed to handle it very well. Claimed you would get along GREAT with some people he knew.

The AI Nixy however was most certainly not amused with the whole affair. Especially once you cracked his suite open as to show the madtek you used to loot him in the first place.

...so yeah definitely a bit too much to drink but in your defense you had taken quite a series of blow in rather quick succession. Still though you slept it off and got lectured by an Divine Ooze over it.

After that eventually you made sure when the next date was gonna be...apparently once you get back.

Pity you knew he was good with his hands and you were wandering about certain toolset of his. Still it wasn't too long before you got taken the meeting point where you and others were handed over to someone who were 'kind' enough to volunteer to take you in so the trip wouldn't be a complete waste.

That was when you saw the monstrosity of a ship as you were prepped to be handed off. It...was very weird ship it looked like it was meant to be a big gunner but...its boarding apparels and excessive engines sorta gave it away. That it clearly wasn't...it was almost as if two very different people built a ship without giving a shit what the other was up to.

the ship as you found out was called Dearest Forever Regards . It was a classified as a Light Cruiser...but it looked rather heavily augmented so you asked about that.

"Hm that ship eh? Its said to be a cursed ship one made from two broken hulks in a forsaken space graveyard. Its said there were two mad engineers who survived...but went insane and attempted to build against each other on the same craft."

"That sounds like a bad horror story."

"Hm well its where your going."

"Wait what? I thought I was gonna see some fresh faced officers who been in a few years."

"Yeah the Captain of that there ship did time in a academy and directly enlisted."
>>
Rolled 62 (1d100)

>>39451620
"There is no way in three years time she went from lowly pilot to Captain of a light cruiser."

"The captain just got out."

"Hah? That is even MORE unbelievable! She 'just got out' and managed to get THAT!"

"I thought at best they would be on a frigate or destroyer..."

"Who the hell you talking about?"

So you told the human officer who nodded in understanding and showed up the report on the 3d screen.

Sure enough their names were on it as being formerly enlisted and then getting out...before somehow getting that ship. Apparently the ship you lost was the first ship they were put on together as previously they were restricted to ground ops before getting into space.

Amazing enough the male officer actually 'volunteered' for the Space Marines. Despite the field being notoriously bloody and short lived.

He got out with honors and an examplary record.

You...were astounded to see this and just kept on reading.

Apparently they were both stuck on that ship until one day they managed to capture not one but TWO frigates and wiped out a number of other vessels. Survived more then a few battles including one ridiculous one where due to their ship being compromised they just 'happened' to take, capture, and use a destroyer to keep on fighting without missing a beat!

After that they were put on a destroyer as they BOTH denied getting their own frigates. Instead taking assault ship and destroyer combo where they caused a whole lot of pain until their required enlistment ended. Their initial corvette meanwhile was put into drydocks until they requested a transfer and it to be shipped to you.

They were even invited to join Combine forces in such a short amount of time they record was so out there. Instead however the two seemingly vanished...until that is they were revealed to be in the possession of this ship.

That was when they got a hold of the Combine and convinced them to lend you out for some purpose or another...which honestly sorta scared you.

That was when you put the pieces together, the mission, its orders, and their purpose. Turned out they are 'hired help' for a patrol force who kindly took you in as you were meant to also be a sort of help.

Their job was apparently to commit to different missions offered by different sources. Apparently the pair was now a bunch of mercs...but that STILL doesn't explain the goddamn light cruiser.

So you and your former crewed were handed off to the light cruiser before shipping out on the patrol.

WARNING

>You have entered a Cursed Vessel!

You and the former crew were escorted to some temporary barracks which were gonna house you while the job was done. At first it was pretty boring with the ship following the patrol...then it peeled off and went its own way.

That was also when you were taken to stand before the Captain.

The captain as you were relieved to find out was in fact the same female officer for whom you stayed with for a year until you got your own place...however you could not see her partner in crime.

The cute, short, and boyish fellow...was no where in sight. You remember the time when you got back from your trip to the religious world and found him a mess due to the simulation that he hadn't known was fake. The reunion between those two and the rather long conversation they had after that. As it served to really point some stuff out, shook them both up, and made them slowly come to terms with stuff.

Including the first time they fucked...god you remember that night. You were so fucking turned on it wasn't even funny. It was downright hell. Especially once she tried to slip back into bed and realized the sheets were soaked...thought it was urine but it didn't smell like it.

That was interesting bit of fun but it led to an agreement...you think Nixy still hasn't forgiven you for that.

"So...where's your boyfriend I thought you two were still together!"

"He is right here with us."

"Wait where?" You look around the entire place but you cannot for the life of you see him.

"Right here," that was when she rested her hand on one of the biggest, meanest mofos you have ever seen! Which is saying something considering your days in the Combine and super slums.

"No, seriously where is he?"

"That is actually me."

"Huh oh so you two broke up well shit I thought you two were tight!"

"...No we are still together."

"No matter how I look at that guy there is no way that is actually him."

"How could you say that just LOOK at that cute face!"

...Okay maybe she clearly went crazy. No matter how you look at it that face is one only his mother could love and she always had the BEST goddamn tastes when it came to cuteness. I mean you wouldn't think it but she really did. Taught you so much about the cuties and turned out you had very similar tastes.

Much to the misery of her boyfri-no correction 'friend with benefits'. It was great finally meeting someone who had such similarities. Though you heard they 'officially' got together when they enlisted properly.

So he looked at the 'guy' who simply put his hand up and made the crazy in the head expression while she wasn't looking.

...shit she really did go crazy.

"So wait are you really him?"

"Yeah. Lets just say puberty hit me like a train and the missions changed me."

"...That is a real goddamn shame. You used to be so cute..."

"What do you mean he is STILL cute hell even cuter!"

You decide to ignore that claim and look at the greatly changed 'friend with benefit' and current boyfriend.

"I mean damn you changed a ton since I last seen you....her less so."

"Yeah I know the feeling." he claimed while examining you up and down. "You yourself changed quite a bit. Still lacking in the tits though I see.

Oh that fucking asshole hitting you in your ONLY weak spot.

"Hey now that isn't tru-well okay yeah I see your point sweetie."

Oh COME ON its not THAT bad! Your ass MORE Then makes up for it...

"So I heard you lost the ship we given to you."

"I uh...yeah sorry about that girl it was just sorta happened."

"We had that ship for the majority of our career and it served us very well."

"Yeah about that I could of sworn I saw this ghostly captain on the ship so what was with that?"

That was when the two of them glanced at each other as if they exactly knew what was going on.

"Hm...well it was an old ship and they tend to build up character over time. As for who the Captain was...I no we had our ideas but weren't exactly able to confirm it."

"So?"

"Do you know the nickname of that ship when it served with the Combine?"

That you didn't as the records were largely sealed.

"It was nicknamed a zombie ship due to a certain trait that appeared after a certain incident."

Which could totally be done. You just have to use double-blind plans and have the resources to cast nets that are wide enough to catch someone you can't technically plan against.

And if you're a mastermind you know exactly how to craft those nets such that they coincide on the person you can't plan against.

And then one of their worst enemies happens to wander in on them while they're entangled, because of other coinciding nets you tossed that gave them an idea to go looking for her.

"The ship was known as Zombie for this reason once it took a direct blow to its command center...but remained serviceable. Somehow after that point when it lost the captain it became nigh impossible to make sure its dead."

"The ship has outlived all its captain's and some considered the ship cursed."

"...So wait you mean it can still be fixed?"

"Maybe but considering you saw the ghost captain."

"Yeah about that what was with that dealio?"

"Its said the captain and ship fell in love...which should of been impossible considering it wasn't equipped with a smart AI."

"Strange I could of sworn that ship had some personality."

"Doubtful we'll ever know either way that there ship survived countless times and saved both our asses a number of times. Ship should died many times over with just us alone. Funny part is that after that incident the ship never once lost another Captain."

"Anyway the mission here is basically to suppress hostiles and help out whoever happens to be paying us."

"So what are you doing then?"

"We are going pirate hunting."

"About this ship...I heard stories that this is a cursed MADtek ship is that true?"

"It is."

Well shit. Guess this is indeed their punishment...to not only be on a CURSED ship but a MAD one too? Fuck talk about payback.

"Suppose that is how you got a hold of this ship so easily then huh?"

"Actually when we got it it was a frigate...or two firgates to be technical."

"How does two frigates equal a light cruiser?"

"The engineers behind it also cannibalized other ships its just the two frigates were primary."

"I...so wait what IS the story of this ship and you guys getting a hold of it?"
>>
Rolled 33 (1d100)

>>39455696
"This ship is the result of two engineers who survived a fleet battle creating massive amount of wreckage. These two engineers however went mad and had a grudge match due to philosophical differences."

"The difference as you can see is these here ship."

"SO how did you get a hold of it?"

"We heard stories of an infamously cursed mad ship that was held together by the grudges of its creators. So we investigated..."

"And?"

That was when they both looked at each other before sighing. "We were the only ones who were able to successfully tame this ship. Despite its madness, the ingenuity, and its cursed nature along with infamous location we acquired it."

"Once we took it in we thing sat out to get a job."

"With no crew?"

"You know how we said this ship was cursed right?"

"Yeah so?"

"Look more closely at the crew."

So you did...and even activated your abilities. What you saw shocked you. As you had mistakenly assumed this crew were alive if heavily augmented as you caught traces of their spirit.

Turned out they weren't.

When you activated your powers the glamour effect was removed and you saw the truth of the matter. They were skeletal abominations of madtech and angry spirits that are common in certain locales...

"HOLY SHITS!"

It didn't help that once they realized they got caught they looked at you balefully with the raging fires of hatred only one of the damned undead can possess...and it was all concentrated on yourself.

"So...yeah don't tell your crew members. They are unlikely to handle it well and well...one of the so called curses is what they do to those who know what they really are. You however are powerful enough that they wont go after you due to your protections from your gods."

"...which just pisses them off even more," muttered the male officer.

"So wait how the HELL haven't these sons of bitches torn into you?"

"Because," states your friend as she looms closer. "We dealt with the two mad engineers and conquered the curse."

"You see us dealing with the engineers, us being able to use the ship without suffering the backlash, and finally dealing with the curses. We did ALL of this proving ourselves worthy of its service and those trapped on the ship."

"Basically what she is trying to say is others have tried to use this ship some more successfully then others but all have failed in the end...until us anyway."

"So wait just how many curses are in this ship," you found yourself asking.

They responded in unison.

"A lot."

"First there is the curse of madness, the curse of death, the curse of undeath, the curse of lashback, the curse of-"

"Alright I get it...by the Goddess Queen that sounds insane."

"Yeah you know what the best part was?"

"What?"

"Those mad engineers weren't dead and they never stopped their work."

"So...they are still on this ship aren't they?"

"Yup," comments the Captain petting her boyfriend. "Couldn't bring ourselves to get rid of them."

"Or the crew..." mutters the boyfriend under his breath.

"Oh come on they aren't THAT bad."

"How are a bunch of pissed off cursed undead and mad bots aren't bad?"

"Well...they really are nice people."

"They drag people SCREAMING to become one of them! What do you think happened to the last LIVING crews!"

"Well they failed and so they were punished."

"You really need to deal with those stars in your eyes..."

"And you need to shut up and fuck me already," she ordered as she started smacking on.

And that is your que to leave. Sadly though the undead didn't leave you alone where previously they had completely ignored you.

You could feel their stares and them following you whispering.

"You...living."

"Kill."

"Join..."

"Holy horrooor."

So you did your best to ignore them...and found out they had in fact guided you to some place...a place you REALLY wished you hadn't seen.

At first it just to be some desolate section of the ship that fell into disrepair, then your powers kicked in.

>Psi Pressure detected
>Magic Memory detected
>Divine Dimension activated

Suddenly you found yourself...back somewhere. You could see the screams of crew as they were dragged by augmented possessed skeletons to workshop...where work was done on them.

Turning them into one of them...you could see living crew working side by side with the undead crew entirely ignorant of what surrounded them.

You could see the ship dying...and the undead crew collapsing or hiding themselves away...until living came forth.

Sometimes they got dragged to join other times the undead worked with them.

You could see a cackling hooded figure constructing the stations, dragging back bodies before breathing the mockery of life into them, catching spirits with strange devices, and plugging them in.

You could even see ghosts try to flee from them only to be captured and taken.

You could see the cackling haunch figure cracking open parts of the ship and working on them...all the while escorted by machines that started off normal enough...only to be 'improved upon'. Eventually there weren't only machines that followed and obeyed.

You could see battles through the decks...such vicious bloody goddamn fights inch by wretched inch.

You...got lost in the seperate times for how long...you don't know. Only that it for some reason the crew got quiet once it took hold...almost as if they were remembering or being respectful.

Once you could feel yourself breathing again. You looked around and saw the same dusty hallways and rusted rooms...except this time the crew were to be no where to be found.

That someone had tapped you on the shoulder which managed to drag you free and than realized you hadn't been breathing considering the sharp intake of breath.

"...Shouldn't have come here. Wont come back if you do that...seen plenty of others specials get dragged down.

"What...what just happened I-I thought I was safe," you asked gasping for air.

The figure responded by looking around...as it they were seeing a very different sight some time ago.

"You were only safe from the crew...the ship is a different story. Especially those like yourself...though I must say its quite rare to see someone like yourself especially one who doesn't get dragged down. Guess you can thank your gods for that."

"...what was that?"

"The ship responding to you. Depending on where your at the effects would be different...normally not NEARLY so powerful. Alas you were strong enough for it to drag you back and shuffle you around."

"So...all that happened?"

"Yes...and it will keep happening. You know why the crew avoid this area?"

"Because they were made here?"

"Close. The actual reason is this place reminds them of what they lost."

You decided to go closer those rusted rooms when the figure grabbed you.

"Don't."

"Why not?"

"You are intact and strong. Those devices are not meant for treating such."

"...you built this place didn't you?"

"With another yes."

"So your the mad engineers behind this place?"

"Hah mad they say? Well I suppose they do have a point...strange stuff happens though when your left alone in the void left for dead in the carcass of a ship in a haunted battlefield. Somehow though...I didn't die."

"Wouldn't that have been better?"

"Tell me you saw those ghosts right?"

"Yeah."

"That is what happens if I had died. I preferred a life of madness over their wretched fate."

"Then why take them?"

"Need workers ran out of bots. Plenty of corpses and ghosts though so I made it work."

The nonchalance over the horror...it made you shudder.

"Come come away from this place. Its not ESPECIALLY not meant for your kind. If you get dragged back by the ship...chances are you may not be coming back."

"So that is what happens to those with gifts?"

"no normals too are affected."
>>
Rolled 30 (1d100)

>>39456550
"Just with them though...not nearly so bad. To them its like seeing a shadow of a shadow. Creepy damaging yes but lethal alone? No."

"You best stick close to the crew."

"Why? Don't they hate me?"

"They know what to avoid they avoid same things that are quite bad for you."

"Then why guide me here?"

"...Crew is touched in head."

"Well obviously being dead, cursed, and twisted would do that to someone."

"Heh that is true, but not truth."

"So this ship is alive?"

"In a matter of speaking yes. Problem is it also hates itself and being in the void useless...surrounded by such and worked on. Drove it insane as well."

"Why stay in this ship?"

"Have a point to prove also didn't want to die."

"So what happens if you die on this ship?"

"You don't...you'll wish you did though."

"What do you mean?"

"There are fates worse then death dying on this ship is one of them."

"...why did those two take this ship."

"Because they could see through and make it work...i no we could not."

"What?"

"The great curse doesn't affect them and the madness of the ship is assuaged with them both. Together they were able to make it work."

"Could any other?"

"Possibly but they too would have to be very similar to them in certain aspects otherwise you'll end up a failure just like all the others who tried to claim this ship."

"So it willing serves them?"

"It does so happily to finally have such worthy Captain and Commander."

"About the living on this ship..."

"The crew wont go after them unless their busted as you see they like to 'pretend' to still be alive. When someone breaks that illusion they get pissed. Also so long as you don't fail then you'll be safe."

"But about the dying..."

"As long as your not truly dead you can be saved."

"That doesn't make me feel any better"

"And it shouldn't. This ship while happy for now may not stay that way. Best you get moving soon we'll be upon some pirates."

"How do you-"with that an alarm sounded and the figure was gone.

You try to find some crew and after walking a ways you find some. There you could see them rallying to battle positions.

So you followed along...this particular bunch of crew appeared to be wandering around aimlessly. You were about to give up when they suddenly stopped at a door and entered it. When you followed you saw they had arrived at a weapon's battery of some kind which they started attending to and firing. Unleashing...strange zaps of ghostly green energy that zapped out blue lightning laser beams.

You weren't entirely sure what to do when you heard a loud and rude 'MOVE' behind before being shoved away. What came in were crew hauling strange batteries whirling with odd energies.

Outside you could see the ship appeared to be heading towards some speedy corvettes...which should of outrunned you but for some reason you were gaining on them. Meanwhile a frigate tried to draw attention away but the ship mostly ignored it in front of the much smaller prey.

What do?

You decide to stick around and considering how they had stuff in hand you decided to use some of your power.

In particular long range telekinesis and throwing punches. Now if you had any idea how or why this would of gone so wrong you wouldn't have done it.

Alas you did not know.

It also turned out that sticking around was a fucking TERRIBLE idea! Go figure listening to the madman isn't a good idea.

>>39458531
Totally gonna be there not like it will be a problem considering how obnoxiously long his name will be.

So what happened in no short order was you 'accidently' pulling enemy ships to you.

Drawing attention to yourself oh and throwing a fist that was SO good it blew a huge chunk of the ship you were in.

You WOULD of been spaced if it weren't for the timing of a boarding cruiser deciding to take advantage.

----

Meanwhile at a certain captain's place.

"What the FUCK just happened?"

"We are missing a chunk of the ship...madam."

"Yeah I can understand that but WHERE the FUCK did that light cruiser come from?"

"Came charging shot our ship with frigate support. This mission originally where we had two corvettes and frigate now we have six, two frigates, and a light cruiser. We only have a light cruiser."

"...Well SHIT."

"Captain we are currently be boarded!"

"Fuck I know that is why the Commander is deploying. Bah. Not like it could be any worse...oh fuck what is it now?"

"Also boarded by two frigates."

"FCUK. let me guess our mobility is shot ain't it?"

"...yes. Corvettes are firing on us if not preparing for boarding."

"Well FUCK...get the Engineers on the horn. Wake up the bad bots and oh whatever else there is."

"Else?"

"Everything else. I am SURE they have something nasty lurking around here somewhere and we sure as shit are gonna need them."

"Understood captain."

Well good news is your not dead.

Bad news is you are so behind enemy lines its not even funny, also she is SO gonna kill you for blowing that hole in her ship.

You are not entirely sure what do as you look upon the chaos of the crew desperately trying to hold of the tide of invaders...to add insult to injury you can feel the presence of other ships boarding or firing upon the crippled ship.

Stay away from Post Apoc or faction fantasy. Shit gets real intense and lethal. Adventure mode fantasy would also be pretty good just without the sci fi and less resulting aliens. Fantasy one is pretty crazy though as I been working on that one lot longer.
>>
>>39459408
But Post Apoc is where it's the most FUN. The world is destroyed but fresh, the players can actually make a difference because no one is /too/ entrenched and we can gain incredible advantages from either developing them ourselves or finding relics of the Old World.

Post Apocalyptic world is best world.
>>
>>39459449
Problem is getting those advantages and making that difference, otherwise we're no different than the other scrap.

It's FUN when it's AWESOME

Without the awesome stuff? Eh. . .
>>
Rolled 77 (1d100)

>>39459449
Yeah but post apoc is also the HARDEST setting difficulty wise. I can understand how that can be refreshing but considering the bitching about the difficulty its like eh? Fantasy is also pretty harsh but that is mostly due to everything that wants to kill you.

Its a long list and meant I didn't even have to bother coming up with bullshit ruins about lost civilizations and ruins!

Seriously though I didn't shit practically fixed itself. Which while hilarious is also terrifying.

Sci Fi the entrenchment is mostly along the lines of the Two Super Powers but they are too busy fucking with each other to ever actually do anything and the space is largely unexplored/unclaimed.

They aren't even very good super powers because they can't really afford crushing lesser parties as it creates an opening yet they ALSO can't afford to commit full blown war against each other.

Its a goddamn mess.

>>39459580
Male MC is short cute and very young looking. Is considered boyish because of it and despite his best efforts. He had sisters who often found it hilarious to make him cross dress because he could pull it off. He still can and hence its still a sore spot. He never really got very manly much to his horror.

Has big brown eyes and naturally curly platinum hair that he often dyes to other colors. Dresses VERY well even when getting his hands dirty(doesn't care what happens as he can just easily get a new one and wash up).

Female MC is big, tatted, and scarred. She has Gang markings, Clan markings, and Military markings. When you throw the scars on top of that she is very...savage looking. Markings wise think strange paints, neon tattoos, and the cyberpunk works really.

Is a pale redhead but tans easily turning into a rich mocha. Eye Color is green and would of clean smooth skin if it weren't for the scars or markings.

She refuses to get rid of said markings and often adds onto them accordingly. Its noted that if she weren't so heavily marked or scarred she would be a real beauty. She still has it but it is a bit buried.

As for why she never removes her scars its to remind herself how she got them so she wont make the same mistake twice. Due to her harsh lifestyle she has added a few and will likely include more especially once she becomes active military.

Has long legs and rich ass but is lacking in the tits. She still has them but they aren't really big. Body wise think very fit chick who doesn't roid out.

She is unsurprisingly very intimidating and strong looking which she would appear to take great pride in(actually a sensitive spot as she never really got to look or feel very girly like ever but she doesn't seem to mind it much instead preferring to take advantage of her savage appearance/nature).

Would easily be mistaken for a gangster if it weren't for the Military tats.
>>
Rolled 86 (1d100)

>>39459822
As is though she REEKS of Clanner, but thanks to the heavy tutelage/lifestyle can thankfully can at least make herself appear like a military brat or personnel easily enough.

She would however be a fish out of water in any social thing that isn't criminal, military, or Clan in origin.

Clan origin wise with a bit of sniffing it becomes clear she mostly aligns with the Amazons and Crimes. Which can tell you a lot if you know your clans.

Military wise she would appear to be human brat and or Combine.

The boy meanwhile is an exact opposite. Thanks to his physique he can easily disguise himself and still be good looking(only reason why he didn't get himself modified was due to the disguising being too goddamn useful a trait). He will also fit into whatever group or scenario if given a bit of time to watch/study before moving in he'll become impossible to know he actually wasn't. Especially if he had a chance to don a disguise before hand.

Anything else?
>>
>>39459822
>So...my stuff isn't any good without awesome?
Your awesome stuff is why I fell in love with your games, Genie. Its what makes you special.

Like I said, if your players wanted to only survive or just settle for 'good' you can sum up every civ as:

>'and so the meddlesome players never bothered the civ and they survived like they always did and lived in static isolation averagely ever after'

Greatness is the goal of every civ, and the value of a civ is measured in those who achieve it.

You zoom over then realize that you weren't entirely sure how to board with this ship solo and at the required location. Then you remembered your abilities so you just parked it and popped yourself over...to a seen of utter carnage.

There was a long hallway just FULL of mountains of corpses and you could see they managed to eventually take the door...and sounds like there was still fighting going on.

When you started moving over you suddenly heard a VERY loud bellow and a certain familiar fellow charging in over the mountains of corpses. Dodging bullets, returning grenades, and generally killing everything that got in his way.

So you naturally followed...into a scene that you REALLY regret seeing. Your 95% positive you just got scarred for life..I mean fuck you just turned right around and headed back down the corridor in a daze.

When you finally got to the other side to bore witness to a battlefield and a number of crewmen who were posted there who just looked over at you.

And nodded in complete understanding before one came up padded you on the back.

"First timer eh?"

"I...uh yeah. Do...do they do that a lot?" I mean seeing THAT in middle of a scene of carnage was just too much...you really took some sanity damage.

"Eh ah yeah kinda."

"but but that and that in such a place..."

----
Short time later the 'Commander' ends up coming out and looking around.

"Report."

"We are being overrun Commander."

"Where?"

"Everywhere."

"Hm fine lets just kick some ass."

"Oh hey and sweetie!"

"WHAT now woman?"

"Remember to take it easy!

"Oh for FUCKS SAKE WOMAN-"

"Exactly," with that she disappeared back around the corner and left the Commander grabbing his helmeted skull as he strode away with the crewmen following.

"You know commander?"

"What?"

"We sorta used to miss fucking then we had to bear witness to certain couples..."

"Yup."

"Suddenly I didn't miss is so much anymore."

"Yup."

Hmm.

I wonder what the Syn Soldier is up to, this is his sort of thing.

I also wonder what Slima the Divine Slime is doing. Probably murdering the fuck out of stuff trying to find and protect us.

Switch confirmed!

----

You are currently attending a prestigious university and word came from a certain elder aide for whom you are still amazed is still alive considering the purging. He knew the guy for a long LONG time...then well you found out that he was the one who carried the keys to removing the limiters on you. He turned out off the one against being able to plan against your family but kept the one on in regards to your sister.

You used to miss the old fart now you sorta hate him and no matter how hard you try to convince him he REFUSES to remove it. Alas you are currently lounging around waiting for a certain someone to arrive...someone whom you had thought was long dead.

That is until that hateful retainer came to you and told you otherwise, also that she was going to visit you.

Your twin sister...whom you thought was killed early on. She was the only one who ended up believing you about Sister and that was due to her taking you away many a time.

She didn't believe it until then...but unlike everyone else she did end up believing. So obviously you thought she had died...yet she was alive the whole time and is now coming to see you.

You still aren't sure how to handle this even as you felt yourself being lifted up in the air and crushed by hug with a loud "BROTHER" added in for good mixture.

Gods be damned you couldn't even outgrow your twin sister...and your SUPPOSE to be the elder. That was when you felt wetness falling on top of your head and felt as well as heard the sobbing.

"I-I...*hick* thought you were dead."

You weren't sure how to respond as she set you down and you suddenly felt very good about choosing such a tucked away location for the privacy involved.

Once your sister got done crying over the fact you were still alive and here before her in the flesh you found out how she managed to stay alive.

"When you were gone...and stuff started dividing once the Head died. I first person I went to was sister who took you away. I thought that maybe if I stuck close and considering what you had figured out...maybe just maybe she wouldn't kill me."

"Turned out I was the very first one come for her and she kept me close as things got bad. Real bad. She just waited and waited though...until she made her move. It was bad. So very bad...I was in the middle of it all. I being the first to come forward kept me around testing me."

"I got hope when elder brother started winning...but unlike many of the others I stuck with her. I knew she just had to be planning something. Even up to the very end when all seemed lost. That was when she started laughing. We all thought she went mad and this was the end."

"But...she just kept on laughing. She laughed so hard she cried, she laughed so hard there was nothing but silent shaking. That was when we saw it go down."

"Brother and all the other traitors. That was when we all knew she had it all planned. Make it look like she was losing until the very end. Shake out those who weren't loyal enough...but I stuck to her in the end."

"Because of that she kept me alive despite me knowing the truth. She knew I knew so she tested me in the thick of things. Even until the very end...I didn't go even with precious brother."

"Now...now she likes to talk about how I am the smartest and loyalist sister she still has...which doesn't take much considering she killed most the others."

"I thought the killing had ended with brother and her taking Head...but it didn't. As it turned out she STILL wasn't done with the killing. So when you came...and you failed the test I thought I lost you forever." That was when she broke down again despite doing a rather good previous job despite the hicks.

"Why...why did you lie and why didn't she kill you?"

>Response?

Hmm. Let me think here

"I hadn't expected a response as extreme as she inflicted upon me. Of course I wouldn't get away unscathed, but pulling out a MAD psychosurgeon was...unexpected.

She kept me alive seemingly because she actually did have a soft spot for me. Thus when I lied it prompted her extra harsh response but it also spared me my life. She also seems to have plans for me even despite my 'betrayal' (really all I did was not mention a goddamn letter, that psycho bitch)."

OOC: Don't trust her all the way, guys. Tell her enough that it seems like we trust her all the way, but keep the, most essential details to ourselves. This can be blamed on not wanting to incriminate her in a pinch.

"...You're lying even to me of all people. I can't belief she had a point after all," with that she started to walk away once she scrubbed her face. "The worst part is I don't even blame you anymore...all this trickery, fighting, and powerplays. I just miss the old days back when none of that mattered no matter how briefly." With that she walked away and left you alone...again.

As if he was waiting for the old retainer showed up again and snorted.

"Can't say I didn't see that coming and worst part is she still forgives you for it. Goddamn."

"...Shut up. She is in her inner circle no way she ain't compromised."

"Hm still not gonna forgive even after you left her behind? All she ever did was try to survive kid. Ain't ever right to fault someone for that."

"Not the point."

"No it is the point. Its the exact goddamn point. One of which you just can't seem to figure out despite your so called intelligence."

What do?

Okay so.

Yeah, that totally sucked, but we had to do it to keep her safe.

I think she knows as well.

We know her better than anyone, trust in our heart for this.

I-thats not a fair choice anon.

But muh crit synergy.

Really though, if we know our sister that well we should at least know how to respond to this type of thing.

Personally, I think she knows we only want to protect her, and just because we can't always tell her everything

doesn't mean we don't care, and aren't still her brother.

We should hug her again.

We just found each other after thinking each other dead for so long. For all we know we might not see each other again, so that's no way to leave.
