Running time:
>10:30 AM - 4:30 PM EST, 9:45 PM - 1:30 AM (break for work inbetween)

Quick synopsis:
>A Kamen Rider quest taking place in the world of Gaim, following Makoto Kinushima of Team Raid Wild. Has key differences between this quest and original Gaim, namely the inclusion of a few particular original characters, varieties of Lockseeds, and the presence of Beast Spirits - one of which was granted to Makoto, named the Dragon, and another, RA, granted to Ryoji.
>As such, the plot has varied from the original enough so that it can be considered its own timeline.

On the last episode, Erina, Makoto and Takatora finally meet up in the Helheim. Demanding an explanation, and having to knock some heads together to get attention, the fight is called off temporarily.

Takatora explains that there is a good chance the buildings and ruins that appeared here came from Earth itself, according to carbon dating, but that the structures seem to be dated to all sorts of time periods in Earth's history.

Knowing this, the outlook changes slightly, until Makoto reveals that Micchy - Takatora's younger brother - is in the Helheim along with the other Armored Riders, as well as a bunch of Shibata clan goons with their own mass produced drivers. Takatora runs off, and Makoto and Erina try to catch up with him.

Erina is propositioned by a spiritual entity, naming herself Izanami no Okami. She claims to have a plan for how to eliminate the forest once and for all, and allies herself in a contract with Erina - but tries to interfere with the older Kinushima interacting and telling the truth to Makoto.

And deeper into the forest, the rumblings of a mighty enemy begin to stir... and a mighty power for the taking.

You are Makoto Kinushima currently, and you're tired as fucking hell. Today was the first day you had managed to fight the Green Ri--

No, that's not the Green Rider anymore. That's Takatora. One of Mom's coworkers... the guy that was talking with Ryoji on the day he was let out. He managed to explain his point of view before running off in search of Micchy, but still... what the fuck, man. A lot of this could have been prevented if there was some form of communication between the two of you about this.

And what the hell was your mother doing, calling him "Taka-chan" like they were married?!

You run your fingers through your hair and huff, trying to figure out just what was going on. Why was MOM here in the first place!? Why did the Patissier bring back all those thugs?

Too much to parse through right now. You had friends in danger, especially those that have never been in Helheim before. The threat of Inves was most certainly a thing, and if your last trip here taught you anything, you've got a lot of unknown territory and Inves to deal with.

You're currently headed west, towards a more deciduous forest.
To the east, is the jungle.
To the north is more ruins, as far as you know.
South leads back to where you came in, but the Crack isn't going to stay open for too long, especially if it was that massive.

You know that Kaito ran off (or rather, arrogantly strode off) towards the north, but not much else. The sea of bodies was too much at the time.

You look over to Mom real quick, get her attention - once she's snapped out of whatever it is that made her look like she's seen a ghost.

"You okay?" you ask quietly, looking her over. It's still kind of strange seeing her fully armored and running alongside you without a cane anymore, but you're thankful for it.

"Mm, yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking," she says, a bit contemplatively. "What's up, hon?"

"I'm gonna head north, Kaito-san's probably in trouble knowing him and I can't really let my rival die this early. Can you do me a favor and..."

"Can you do me a favor and deal with the Shibata clan guys that came in with us?" you ask, giving her a serious look. She cants her head a bit, looking back.

"Are we talking, like, killing them, or leaving them to rot for the animals to finish them off or what?" There's a little bit of glee in her voice and posture that suggested she might like this idea a lot more than you anticipated.

"Use your best judgment, but they're still people," you respond, putting a hand up. "Plus, if you get a call from a kid named Yue, he'll probably say I sent him. He's one of those Shibata punks that knew better than to stick around after a fight. May be looking for a job or something."

"I don't think we're going to have service in the Forest, Mako-chi, but if I see or hear from him, I'll let you know. Did you beat him silly, or...?"

"Was no need to do so, he gave up. Kinda was envious of the Armored Riders, how they have the choice to choose their destiny instead of being beholden to a criminal life. Or something like that, I dunno if he was lying about it or not to get away from me. Beat most of his friends up real good, though."

"That's a good girl. Keep in touch, don't get yourself killed, hon."

With that, Mom sprints into the bush, towards the west, and disappears.

You start picking your way through the brush, the ferns and long grass as you make your way up north. Kaito might be kind of actually strong, but you had more experience in a sense. If he was in an actual fight, he wouldn't last too much longer. You had to move fast.

The grass and underbrush starts giving way to laid stones in the ground, coming together to form rudimentary roads and pathways. It's certainly easier than trailblazing yourself - in fact, with the layout of the stones, it reminds you of a well-made garden, if a bit overgrown--

<<KINUSHIMA.>>
"What? Dragon, what's up?"
<< BE ON YOUR GUARD. >>
"You're being vague, is this intentional or...?"

The Dragon remains silent as you start coming across actual organized buildings - solid roads, solid design of marble and concrete, almost like a small city block. Very weird, but given the mostly worn-off texts and carvings on the walls of the buildings are nigh unreadable, and in a script you're not familiar with, it's something you put aside for later.

Instead, you focus on the sounds of metal clashing against metal, a short distance away. Grunts of effort and force accompanying them, of course. Certainly sounds like Kaito, if anything, judging by the calls of Banana and Mango-related attacks. But the heavy breathing indicates that the fight may have been going for quite some time.

If Kaito was in a fight with another Armored Rider, though...

You slink through doorways and pick through empty buildings, destroyed rubble inside not betraying what exactly these could have been. Careful as a mouse, you scramble behind cover, finally coming face to face with what was going on...

And to no surprise, really, Kaito's getting his ass kicked like it was going out of style. Even though Kaito's wielding around a big two-handed mace... warhammer thing, trying his best to look like a strongman, the Patissier is currently making quick work of him. Guess all that training in the military paid off.

Kaito's staggering back, trying to keep on the defense, while the Patissier is turning into a human blender, nearly destroying the man in a match...

Before his eyes shoot directly to you, hiding behind a half-broken wall and staring at the combat. Quick, you need to do something!

Stealth... really has never been your strong suit. You've been spotted at this point, you might as well follow through.

You stand up from behind the broken wall, still untransformed, but striding with purpose. The Patissier's stopped, of course, giving you the respect that a person entering the battlefield deserves. Kaito tries to recollect himself, and send a wide, savage swing towards the back of the Patissier's head -- but with a lean to the side, the swing goes wide and throws the BARON leader off balance.

"Honestly, you two," you start, hands on your hips and belt. "Is this what happens when you two are left alone?"

"I can't help it," Oren protests, shrugging as casually as if he had just been caught throwing a snowball at a friend. "He makes it too easy to rile up. Might not be great at fighting, but it's a fun experience!"

"Hey--" he starts to protest, but a glare from the two Charmant workers silence him momentarily.

"I know you two have a fierce rivalry to deal with, but there's way more important shit that's going on right now. Can we put thiis aside for a bit, or will I have to knock heads together on you two?"

"Kinushima, this is not the time. We're in the middle of something." Kaito strides forward, trying his best to look as if he didn't just get the shit beaten out of him, and rests the point of the mace upon the ground. Heavily leaning into it, and out of breath.

"And that would be... what, exactly? Y'all want each other's Lockseeds or something?"

"I want to beat him!" the dancer exclaims, pointing at the Patissier. Once again, a nonchalant shrug.
"And I like fighting. Is that so wrong?"

"Yeah, it is, especially when we've got things from Earth that might be here. Not just people, but actual buildings and shit."

"..."
"...you're talking nonsense, what?"

"I mean, this Forest is hiding way more than we were imagining... and we might be in way more danger than we thought."

>Cntd.
>>
>>39650690

"Wait, I'm still hung up on something. You're saying that the Forest... has stuff from Earth? Like buildings and everything, these ruins, are from our home?"

"Yeah... well, not Zawame itself, maybe, but definitely not native to the area. Takatora Kureshima and his team had been investigating the buildings, and carbon dated some of them. Some go as far back as, like, ancient times, while others are like around the 1800s. He says they're not quite perfect, though - dating seems to vary immensely."

The Patissier puts his sawblades onto his back, setting them aside for a moment, as he thinks. Serious thought, espeically about grand implications, doesn't seem to cross his mind often. But you gotta admit, when it does, it's a sight. Kaito, on the other hand, is still nursing his wounds.

"So there's something else at work here," Kaito starts, sounding hurt, "and Yggdrasil's higher ups neglected to tell anyone about this? They're endangering all the Lockseed users and Armored Riders, for a--"

"We don't know anything for sure, Kaito-kun," you quickly cut him off. "Again, this is a theory, and for all I know he could have been lying to make it look like he knows what he's tlaking about, so that he can get some time to research. Jumping to conclusions now will only hurt people."

"So what should we do now?" Oren wonders.

"First order of business..."

"First order of business, we need to recall the troops. We don't know the forest well enough to continue this, and given now what could be true about the Forest, it's probably a good idea to spend as little time here as possible."

The patissier and Kaito both nod in agreement, Kaito looking more reluctant than anything. Well, at least they agreed.

Problem is, though, how were you supposed to keep in contact with the other Riders. Kouta, Jonouchi, Micchy, all were still lost in the forest. Not to mention the veritable horde of the Shibata Ryu that were still here, doing god knows what at this point.

And, of course, mom.

Doesn't help when you see trees to the east being knocked down, along with elephant-like roaring and (much quieter) screaming.

"Before I forget," you mutter, before unhooking the Rose Attacker and tossing it to Oren. He scrambles to catch it, looking it over, as you reach for Starfruit and clasp it tight. "Just hit the shackle and it should do the rest."

Oren nods, before you start up.

Cause if you're gonna transform as a Kinushima, you're gonna need to make it showy.

You shove the hand with the Lockseed to the sky, then drag it down slowly, hitting the pose of other ninja-based heroes.

"Henshin."
>CARAMBOLA!<

The starfruit armor synthesizes and coalesces above you as you quickly cycle through the rest of the pose. Smashing the Lockseed into the Driver, and hitting the lever before there's any time for the Driver to talk further.

>CARAMBOLA ARMS! KUNOICHI, REACH FOR STARS!<

The armor descends, unfolds, and even before it's done with the effects, you're off. You nearly fly through the streets, pinging off of buildings and parkouring over the rubble like there's nothing else you've ever known. You're almost one with the wind, going at the speed of sound it feels like.

You sprint out of the forest as quickly as your speedy form can take you, feet barely touching the ground. These were your firends that you needed to save, and if something that big is knocking down trees like it's nothing, it needed to be put down.

Those were the rules of engagement. Take no prisoners, destroy the enemy at all costs.

But as soon as you managed to catch up with the three remaining riders, you easily could see what the fuss was about. Both Kouta and Micchy were capable fighters in their own right, and Jonouchi wasn't too shabby either - more of a tactician than anything else, to be sure.

But even with their powers combined, the monster (cause Inves wasn't enough of a descriptor for this thing anymore) was just not having ANY of it. Kouta's sword made of an orange slice was already shattered, and the purple energy bullets from Micchy's gun were bouncing off.

THis was some real shit, and it's not happy at all.

"It's the Dragon all over again..." you whisper, skidding to a halt behind it. Motorcycle sounds behind you, as Kaito and Oren follow.

<<THIS... MIGHT NEED SOME MORE FIREPOWER...>>

You've never heard the Dragon hesitant before.

But you can't blame him, really.

>>
>>39652214
First Leatherback, now Otachi. At this rate I half expect one of the Overlords to show up riding Slattern. Damn.

Okay, forms past Dragonslayer. If I recall from earlier conversations, that's basically our Jinba Arms, being a form with a jacket that's our first major upgrade. So coming after that would be a Kachidoki equivalent, where we get our cool sword whose name I can't remember. Kachidoki is heavily armored, so maybe have our version be lightly armored? Very light chestplate and pauldrons, being more like a Super Sentai costume than a Kamen Rider one. Very mobile and fast. Then for its Kiwami equivalent it grows a new layer of armor in a scale pattern for the dragon look, giving a more even distribution over the body than the Arms Fruits provide. It'll be similar to how Kiwami Arms's design doesn't have the "unfolded fruit" modular look to it but is a completely new suit in its own right.

>>39652214
Funny, watched that movie a few nights ago.

For international Riders, a pistachio immediatly springs to mind for some reason. Maybe the user could use the Genesis Core attachment to mix it with other Nut Lockseeds,, or use a weapon like the Stake Driver from Bloodborne, to represent the edible part and the shell?
>>
>>39652461
Like the Birth Driver or Buster
>>
>>39652515
Possibly. The power of the Lockseed would come from the versatility of things in could mix with, even non Energy Lockseeds. Maybe the user would have to wear multiple Lockseed holders. So, basically the Birth Driver and Fourze's Switches put together.
>>
>>39652461
You could even add a layer of reason to why they only have nuts. Does seem right down Ryouma's alley to give inferior designs to others. Also considering what he did in Gaim Gaiden.
>>
>>39652736
You've seen them both, Peachy? Where does that come into play, Zangetsu's or Baron's?

Saw the raws when they got posted last week, and it comes to play in both parts. Essentially he isn't shy for giving out "subpar" products so by giving out just Nut based gear to the Internation Riders it would line up with this.

>Spoilers are for Gaim Gaiden.
He made both the Lock Seeds that are in the movie and they aren't exactly up to par with the normal ones. Dragonfruit Energy turned its user into an Inves and the Apple also did something to Touka, that I think was killing her.And the Apple also almost turned Kaito into an Inves.
>>
>>39653286
Interesting. While it wouldn't be odd for the Professor to do such a thing, maybe the user could have requested it. You know, wanting to test their skills by giving themselves a handicap.

That spoiler may give DJ more things to work with in terms of the plot too.
>>
>>39653514
Lockseed Limiter/Helheim Purification factor?

The stronger the lockseed the more it purifies potential helheim infection
>>
>>39653748
Someone wanting a crazy handicap seems more likely to me, kinda like how it took losing an arm for Jetstream Sam to get cyborg enhancements, and even before that he managed to keep up with cybrogs using just an armored bodysuit and sheer skill.

Then again, battle junkies like Sam are very rare indeed, so In the end, the most likely reason would be the main branch just deciding not to give out the rare/experimental lockseeds and instead gambling the enhancements the armor gives and the skill of the user would be enough of a boost for their enforcers.

Thinking on it, the portals appear to form naturally only over Zawame, so even low level lockseeds are rare in the other branches.
>>
>>39654106
Maybe even have a character whose suit is powered by one of the first generation Drivers that Yggdrasil's researchers use, as a prototype from back before Lockseed tech was perfected. And the user is just that good that they can get by with nothing more than a thin layer of armor and immunity to Helheim infection, making up for the rest on their own merits.
>>
>>39654178
Might be an interesting idea, but it sounds too much like a rehash of Jetstream Sam to me.

More likely, an special enforcer comes to the Zawame branch to oversee a shipment of MP Sengoku Drivers, Limited Production Genesis Driver and assorted Lockseeds to be delivered to the other branches. He's using a Prototype Driver, but only until he gets assigned his own Sengoku/Genesis Driver
>>
>>39654106
Here's the thing, a seed of Helheim fell specifically in Zawame if I remember correctly so that pretty much gives a good reason why there's so many crack's originating there.

However I'm thinking that the Helheim Corruption is slowly spreading all over the world sorta like how Jenova acts. Soon there's gonna be crack's popping up all over the damn place hence the appearance of the International Riders.
>>
>>39654969
I'd think the high amount of cracks most likely originated from the tree Yggdrasil kept within the tower. So if that's still there that would be why Zawame had so much activity. Then again we haven't heard much from the Overlords yet so there could be other reasons in play.

Speaking of, when are we teaming up with an Overlord to get our piece of the Golden Fruit and getting nothing but despair from the deal?
>>
>>39652214
>International Riders
Sagara, I've been meaning to talk to you about that: Interpol should seize a few belts for testing and get some Riders.

Also, for the American Rider, I feel like we should let the Mafia get involved. Have someone connected break into an American branch and steal a belt because he initially thought it would be good for the family.
>>
>>39655081
Who knows Peachy who knows?!

>>39655404 Ah bout that... I have something a bit more insidious. Someone from Inside pulls a revolver ocelot and uploads the blueprints for Artifical Crack opening technology and Lockseed/Driver tech onto the web.
>>

That could go along with the apparent leak in technology with the JP branch and how the cheapo-knock off drivers got into the Shibata clan's hands.

Yeah, pretty much this was what I was thinking.

Also, since we're going international, we're going to have a Warring Statesman, right? And someone from /m/ from a long time ago said we should do something with an Australian member/branch? I can't remember. But my votes are some Interpol agents, a mafioso, and the Australian come in to investigate.
>>
>>39655672
Those were both me, if you're talking about what I think you're talking about. Specifically Dr. Warren Statesman, Ryoma's counterpart, and the Bunya Energy Lockseed, the big brother of the Matsubokkuri Lockseed.
>>
>>39655839
Ah, I forgot about the lockseed suggestion, actually, heh. And I'm retarded, Warren Statesman. Whoops. But I remember someone, maybe it was someone I know that frequents /m/? Someone requested we do cool stuff with the Australian.
>>
>>39655672
Warren Statesman, the American Professor. Named after the translation choice for the Sengoku Driver before Ryouma existed and never got changed.

But we do know there's three branches, Australia, China and I think France. So there's at least those three in terms of Yggdrasill Internation Riders.
>>
>>39655920
Cecilia or whatever her name is was French, right? That takes care of one branch.

While we're still in OOC mode, I have a question. I've been thinking of getting a friend to watch Kamen Rider, but I'm not sure which one to show him. What do you guys think is the best Kamen Rider series for someone new to get into? Gaim is my personal favorite, but I'm not sure if it's good for a first series, mostly because (in my opinion) the first episode is pretty confusing, even knowing Kamen Rider. Any thoughts?

Oh god. I just had the most... amazing? Crazy? Stupid? Well, the most Something idea.

>The Veteran Armored Riders are gathered in a conference room inside the Yggdrasil building. They were all invited, but none have any idea why exactly they were called.
>Suddenly, the room's lighting dims and spotlights illuminate a stage that appeared out of nowhere. Footsteps can be heard, slowly ascending the steps to the top of the stage.
>It's the Chairwoman, looking upon the gathered Riders, the light illuminating her perfectly while everyhing else in the room is swallowed by darkness. She has a small smile on her lips.

"Greetings, Armored Riders. I have called you here for a very important reason.
The Sengoku Drivers you wear are innovations made within my branch of the Yggdrasil company. The nature of the dimensional gates that link Earth to the Helheim Forest make it so Lockseeds can only be harvested reliably within the confines of this city.

WE hold the tools to make Drivers, WE have the means to acquire and distribute them and the Lockseeds.
Normally, that would mean the Armored Riders such as yourselves may only appear and gain strenght and weapons within this city, under our watch. Regrettably, that is no longer the case ."

>There are brief murmurs among the Riders, but before they can start asking questions, a large screen appears behind the Chairwoman, showing pictures of Kurokage Troopers in places that are certainly NOT Zawame.

This took WAY too long to write.
>>
>>39656282
"As you can clearly see, the technology has been leaked. The blueprints of the Sengoku Drivers are available in various languages and many, many different organizations have managed to build their own.

Again, that would normally be nothing to worry about. For all its advanced technology, the Drivers are little more than fancy toys without Lockseeds, and indeed, this would be a minor concern, were the blueprints of the Dimensional Interference Engines of the Motorcycle Lockseeds we built not leaked as well."

>Her previously calm expression shifts into a grimace.

"Now, this obviously happened due to industrial espionage and rest assured, we are investigating the matter and will most certainly find the perpetrator and... Punish him... very, very harshly.
But of course, that doesn't change the fact that Armored Riders are now under employ of many criminal organisations around the globe. Too many, and some too powerful for our teams to handle."

>And here she GRINS

"THAT'S where you come in. We need experienced Riders to help us deal with the more problematic threats while we train our own forces, to stop the bandits and would-be Warlords before they entrench themselves further.
We are offering you the chance to travel the world, test your strenght and protect people from these superpowered maniacs.
You will all, of course, ve handsomely rewarded for your services, and we will do all in our considerable power to help whatever goals you have.

THAT is why we called you here, THAT is our offer. What do you say, Armored Riders? Will you join us?

Well. That's one way to clean up a mess. My only concern is that Kaito and maaaaybe Junouichi won't want to work together with the rest of us because of some amount of pride. But I suppose in the long run, even if it was every other Rider teamed up, it'd still be workable.

Also, and I'm not complaining, but that feels a bit more like Super Sentai, which I'm not sure if Sagara wants to bleed into or not. The nice things about Kamen Riders is they're all unique instead of being slightly differently colored uniforms that mostly have the same ambitions and goals.

Besides, this was a spur of the moment thing, where the idea appeared and kept hitting me untill I wrote it.
No, I'll just stay here, enjoying Sagara's amazing story wherever it takes me. Maybe I'll write a little snippet or two like this one and that one of the Master of Disguises Bat Inves, but nothing larger Than those.

Upon further inspection, this would be a great story either as a spinoff, or as a later arc. I'd probably have to tweak it a bit for a quest format, but given what I've seen with other World Warrior-styled quests, it could easily be viable. I keep getting a fighting game vibe, something like Bloody Roar, Tekken or the like with it.

Though I'd think that as the tech spreads, the Lockseeds would probably start varying from just being fruits and nuts to actual stuff, like the Kachidoki and the like. I don't imagine a crime lord in America using something that's necessarily fruit themed if he can help it.

One way I could see it working is to give us a couple missions with vaguely foreboding titles and have us follow along with one character until we finish it. I've seen a lot of quests do something like that.
You could also have each controllable character have a different mission with different "gameplay styles" for lack of a better word. Erina Missions would be stealth and assassination/capture based, since that's the focus of her Armor's power, while Makoto focuses on plain Hunt and Destroy missions, while the Patissier has to command a small squad of soldiers, since he has actual military training.
that kind of stuff.

Nope. It's just Knight of Spear and Fight of Hammer. He doesn't get any other Lockseeds until Lemon Energy.
>>
>>39658259
Alright, let's use our speed and ranged weapons to stay on the move harassing it. Intent should be to distract it and keep it from focusing on any one opponent. Whenever it turns to face a new one, we'll have already run behind it to attack from behind.
>>
>>39658259
I'm thinking one group assumes their most powerful forms (Apple, Mango, maybe try Kiwi), and faces the Inves head on. While it's distracted, the rest sneak around it looking for weakpoints or attacking it from behind.
>>
>>39658259
So... Run around at the speed of sound to get it's attention? And have Muh Powuh smack it with a hammer, while the Patissier tries out Kiwi in hopes it does impact damage?

We've seen that the sword Kouta had did fuck all and broke against it, so slashing probably won't work. Micchy's gun isn't doing anything, either.

Sagara, does Carambola actually let us go the speed of sound? Because if it does, we should Sonic Boom to disorient stuff.
>>
>>39658294
In original canon, definitely. But I was trying to remember if he got another Lockseed in the process of the quest.

As far as I can recall, the canon characters that got additional lockseeds were:
>Micchy with AlmonDao
>Ryoji
>Oren with Kiwi
and that was it.

>>39658362
It certainly felt like you were going that fast, and it's worth giving a shot.
>>
>>39658396
I don't think he got another one in the quest. Fairly certain he's been vanilla Kaito.

hoo boy, tempting fate. I'm gonna push for disorienting it with a Sonic Boom if we can, while everyone else uses their best/impact weapons to smash things. Might as well toss Apple over to Oren if Kiwi doesn't work.
>>
>>39658396
Oh, I see. No, I don't think he picked up any new Lockseeds in the quest. He's got a spare copy of Banana, but that's it for additional Lockseeds. At least, that we've seen, maybe he picked one up off-screen. But you haven't established him as having anything other than Banana and Mango, if that's what you're wondering.

An idea blossoms into your mind. Probably a veritably stupid one, but an idea nonetheless.

"Kaito, Oren! Hit him with your hardest weapons and keep it away from the others - preferably towards me!"

Without question - but with a semi-goofy salute from the Patissier - the two of them jump into action. Kaito, already in heavy hitter mode, goes for the easy target, being the Inves' surging tail. It almost looks like he's about to miss it as it swings, but with a quick adjustment and a MANGO AU LAIT, he manages to pin the tail on the Inves.

Naturally, as most animals with their movement severely hampered are wont to do, it thrashes about, in massive pain. Branches fall where its head fins strike them, tree trunks crack and give way. Soon enough, it knows better than to just flail about in pain, and turns to face the unknown assailant that gave it such a hard time.

Perfect.

"SONIIIIIIIIC..." you shout, summoning two shuriken about as big as your chest in diameter, and winding up like a big cymbal hit.

"BOOM!"

You crash the shuriken together, sending a pulse of energy that's faster than the human eye, directly towards the Inves' head. And like predicted, the Inves gets buffeted by a smack of sonic waves, sending it reeling.

However, Joey... doesn't seem to have that kind of luxury. Seeing as he's got no other alternative, he tries to slam his hammer into the knee of the Inves.

"No, I'm not going to risk the side-effects of integration with you when there are allies around. If we can't kill it, we'll just have to hurt it enough to make our retreat. Do we have enough power disable it, at least?"

You shake your head to the negative, trying to refocus on the battle... But the Dragon is persistent this time.

<< NOT AS YOU ARE NOW, MAKOTO. AND I AM NOT AS FOOLISH TO SUGGEST SUCH A THING AROUND PEERS ONCE MORE. CONTRARY TO POPULAR LOGIC, I /CAN/ LEARN. >>

A beat.

<< THE EXCHANGE WOULD BE OF LOCKSEEDS. TRADE ONE OF YOURS FOR ANOTHER. AN UPGRADE. MUCH LESS DRAINING ON YOU, MUCH LESS RISKY. STILL A WAY TO GRANT YOU MY POWER. AND ESPECIALLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST BEASTS LIKE THIS. WITH IT, YOU WILL HAVE THE STRENGTH TO KILL THIS. >>

You have little time to devote to this, though, as time seems to start resuming. You've gotta let this fly free as soon as possible - these shurikens are heavy!

Well, I'm fine with trading in Apple. We don't really use it against big honking enemies anyway, we wouldn't lose much.

Are we really okay with getting rid of Apple? I mean, I guess if we don't use it...

Excuse me, typo, I meant to say "EXCEPT against big honking enemies". Whoops.

Guys, I'm running low on steam right now. Mind if we hold this over until next week, and start off at the fight? We can resolve the upgrade next week. And maybe by then, we can get a definite art image of it.

Sounds good for everyone?

Also, I dunno if anyone has a Nicovideo account, but I found a guy by the name of Pegassa that does stop-motion animation with Rider shit.

And mixes it with LoveLive, something I'm not a huge fan of, but y'know what? It's Rider stop motion animation.
