>Summary:
You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone, after escaping your homeworld you somehow got yourself into the Inquisitorial Cruiser “Speculum Animæ”.

>Main Mission:
- Become stronger and fight the Magus that installed the chip on your brain.
>>Secondary Missions:
- None
>>Optional Missions:
- Try to destroy the heretical information stored on your brain.
>>
You are Heracor Nahive, 38 years old. Member of the Adeptus Mechanicus, originative from the Forge World of Telematha and now you are also the legal guardian of a small girl.

Alaria…what’s her surname? You could always check on the database but now that matters not, from now on she will be Alaria Nahive you guess. With the death of her genetic parent’s she had also lost her heraldry and family tree. She’s now the broken branch of an impossibly huge genealogy filled with many dead ends and broken paths like her

In the last months you had put yourself in danger more than once and even if you were scared of dying you knew that it wouldn't carry much effect to the great scale that it is the Imperium of Man. Your death would be pretty much meaninglessness and insignificant…but that changed now. Right now you had her under your protection, if you died she would be alone once again and filled with despair and doubts about her loyalty and the teachings of the Omnissiah.
>>
>>39728293
It was your duty to stay alive, at least until she was strong and mentally cultured and indoctrinated enough to stay loyal no matter what and not stray away from the true paths. You had seen what the chaos and its many tentacles could do.

Nonsensical violence and bizarre infections were what you witnessed so far but who knows how many different forms this enemy can take. Chaos was an enemy not only of the Imperium but also the fabric of reality itself. Even the vile Xenos race known as the Eldar fights and considers it a common enemy.

You sighted as you oversaw your Skitarii temple working and training hard. The “Skitarii Æterna” was now part of you, both a tool and a weapon to use as you saw fit.

>Examine the vehicles and other parts of the Temple that you didn't saw yet.

You descended towards the darkest vaults where they kept the sacred vehicles away from the pry looks of the curious and unworthy and safe from any saboteurs. According to the Inventory in the Database there weren't many vehicles but keeping in mind that this ship was an Inquisitorial one and that the Mechanicus here is little more than guests it was a pleasant surprise to see that there was at least some.

If you recall correctly there were five Ironstride Engines, ten Taurox and two Chimeras. Besides the Chimeras that you saw in action in the past the other designations were unknown for you. After about five minutes of descent in a slow yet safe caged elevator you reached the garage.

It looked like that level was a shared space for all the vehicles and that there were areas where the Inquisitress kept her own ones. Our temple was lent the Garages 13 to 17 and inside there were the aforementioned vehicles and some other ones that were used for work instead of war and thus didn't appeared in the Skitarii database.

The Taurox was an armored personal carrier that could keep inside about ten soldiers inside and could be equipped with autocannons and maybe other kind of heavy weaponry if modified by expert hands. It's quad tracks didn't convinced you and honestly you thought that wells would work better but you weren't a military engineer, the privileged mind that designed it surely had a good reason to do so.
>>
>>39728649

On one corner lied the five Ironstride Engines placed in a straight line. They looked like two gaunt and long legs that could stride the battlefield and reach the enemy fast. There was a terminal connected next to them with a shiny screen that called you with its bright colors. Once on it you saw that it asked for an identification and after doing so it explained that those engines were baseline ones, that they could be turned into Ballistarius by equipping them with Gyroscopic balances and long ranged weapons or into Sydonian Dragoons by adding perpetual motion engines.

Finally, the Chimeras were on the backside, lying as intimidating and strong as you remembered them.

All the vehicles still had the old color scheme and heraldry but the work order to redecorate them was at least issued and listed on the cogitator.

You looked at them all and even turned them on to check if they functioned, they all worked perfectly. Happy with the results you ascended to meet the Generals one by one.

>Go and meet the Generals.
You once again office a meetup with the generals, this time to know each other better and relieve tensions. It is a small talk since everybody has in mind the imminent reaching of our destination and the sudden changes of the Temple. From the short encounter you learned the following things from your generals.

>Braxgar Jo.
He is a good leader that gets along with the rest of the army and tries to be nice yet disciplined with everybody regardless of their rank. He thinks that every machine was important no matter how small or weak it is and thus every Skitarii must be treated equally, from the lowliest one to the highest ranked General.

He fights with an Melta Pistol and a Transonic Blade. Transonic blades emit a low, insistent buzz that makes stomachs turn and eyes vibrate in their sockets. When they strike armour, these weapons will adjust their hostile sonic field to match its resonant frequency, quickly slicing right through it. He was an efficient yet somewhat violent foe that loved to mix the heat of his Pistol with the deadly effects of his blade. He is considered a great assassin and his squads are usually specialized in hunting high ranked members of enemy armies.

>Fregorek T’or
A trapmaster; he has an abhorrent hate for the xenos machinery and has all kinds of weaponry focused on disabling or destroying it. He is filled with many Servoskull ended dendrites that can send EMP and other wave explosions that fry and deactivate machines and vehicles, during emergencies those servoskulls can be detached and used to bombard and sabotage, without the skulls from the end of the dendrites long blades appear becoming thus deadly weapons. Besides of the use of his dendrites he battles with a sniper rifle with modified penetrator rounds that were blessed over twenty times to make them impact the joints and other sensible and exposed points of the enemy machinery.
>>
>>39729224

>Svartan Snotten
A woman so modified that she pretty much lost any trace of femininity and humanity on her form. She dons a Gigas Mechanica Frame and equipped herself with the newly acquired laser transferring arms. With some other modifications she has been able to make her fists spit fire like a heavy flamer and become red hot without suffering damage. Svartan prefers to be on the first line and as a vanguard encounter the enemy directly, ripping it to pieces and turning xenos machines into little more than molten slag.

>Erbayri Alp:
Another member of the XX chromosome. She prefers to be a jack of all trades warrior, somewhat like you. She loves to modify her body and the only untouched part of herself is her face. She doesn't has changing her face forbidden but she wanted to keep that original because it was the only way most people had to recognize her due to her frequent changes. Right now she installed the same bionics that you have just to understand more how you work.

>Feles “Genocidecles” Andaxignis:
He’s a man that prefers to use servitors and warriors and supervise the battle as if it were a theater. While it is true that he will be present on the war he uses a large array of vox comm transmitters to send orders to all his soldiers. He dons a special helmet that it is able to connect with any of the Skitarii he is above of to supervise their movements and surroundings. He’s the weakest of all and uses a chainsword and laser pistol to defend himself.

Feles knows this but due to his mentality he believes that if he has let the enemy reach him then he hasn't done a good job commandeering his soldiers and thus he deserves death.

Know that you know them all maybe you could callenge one of them to a fight, If you win that would make all the warriors and generals trust and follow you more.

>Praise their good work and train on your own.

You thank them all their precious time and then ask them how they think that they can improve our forces for the upcoming mission.

To your surprise they answer you that they usually don't know of what the Inquissitress Karelia is up to and that she sometimes asks for their help to defeat a foe and in exchange she helps and offers her influences and military strength when a forge world or an important asset of interest for the Mechanicus is in danger.

"Karelia is shrouded under a veil of mystery, she just says fragments of her true intentions and keeps all the important intel of herself. We are puppets under her strings." Says Fregorek.

You sigh under your breath and silently agree with his statements, then ask everybody but Erbayri and Braxgar to return to their duties.

Having Erbayri in front of you was weird, the only difference between you and her was the face and some details that she didn't managed or bothered to reproduce like your plasma rifle, she just donned a regular one, or the purity seals that you proudly wore.

She was like a doppelganger, you for one side were pretty glad that she took the time and effort to imitate you but on the other side you thought that it didn't quite fit with your mentality whereas everybody should be unique on their own way.

"Do tell Erbayri. What do you think of our loadout and how could it be improved?"

She seemed surprised but thankful of you coming to her, as she while not as experienced with weaponry like the rest she had tried the most weapons of them all.
>>
"The plasma rifle is a strong weapon with a temperamental machine spirit, it can become angered at any time and explode, rendering the weapon useless and possibly damaging you. If that happened and you were lucky enough to avoid the explosion then you would found yourself with no other ranged attack other than the flamer dendrites. Those dendrites are useful yes but lack distance. In my opinion you should get a secondary ranged weapon, something trusty like a laspistol maybe."

You nodded and considered her suggestion. Braxgar then spoke and lend you his Melta Pistol.

"My weapon is not what your require as while strong and trusty is also lacks distance."

You grabbed the pistol and felt it on your hand, it was easy to wield and carry and while delicate it looked sturdy enough to be able to be used as a blunt weapon if nothing else was available. Maybe you should check the armory to get another weapon on your holster.

>>
>>39729880
After parting ways with the two generals you head towards the main armory. Due to the different factions that cohabit this Cruiser and the different weapons and permits that they have for their weapons the armory was updated by the Mechanicus and mechanized.

The armory is now a thick adamantium wall with an entry terminal were you log in and it shows what weapons and armor you have access to. This total exchange was really expensive and took a lot of time but the Cult assured the Inquisitor that it was for the best and would avoid lots of problems. Honestly it was true, thanks to their system people could only arm themselves with the weaponry that they should.

The guard crewsmen could only ask for riot shotguns in case of mutiny while the Skitarii and Inquisitor retinue had access to their specialized equipment respectively. Since you were a member of both factions your possibility to choose was one of the highest and with the exception of the Astartes weaponry that was stored and can only be retrieved by Juliannus you had pretty much no restriction.

Next to the terminal there was a hatch and a heavy sealed door. Behind the door there lied the weapons themselves and a series of rails were the servoskulls would go a find the desired weapon and servitors fitted with special arms would travel and pick them up.
>>
>>39730487
Even if the wall and the door were thick you could hear behind the sound of the screeching wheels and brainless groaning of the servitors as they moved across the sky-rails and ascended and descended. You didn't saw it with your own eyes but you were able to hearsay a tale about how the servitors got sick from the quick movements and ended puking all the floors and weapons and how after a heavy reprimand by both the Magos and Inquisitress they had to remove all the stomach from their bodies. They still get sick but now they just cannot vomit at all.

After a while the login accepted you and you were able to enter into the small arms section.

>Look at the description of one of those weapons
>Phosphor Blast Pistol:
One of the most horrific substances of ancient Mars was Phosphex. Its method of manufacture lost thousands of years ago, this highly-corrosive toxin burned with an intense flame that could not be extinguished, short of placing it in a vacuum. Though the crawling horror of phosphex weaponry is all but forgotten in the Imperium, the blinding white fire of phosphor weaponry is still utilised by the Skitarii to mark out high priority targets amongst the battlefield murk. The phosphor weapons fielded by the Skitarii are all that remain of this lost knowledge, a sanctioned replacement for one of the Machine God's creations. They may no longer be able to reduce a world to ash, but they still cover the enemy in luminous particles, making them easy targets for other Skitarii. If those struck by the burning spheres fired by these weapons are not killed by the initial trauma, they are soon felled by the light-guided volleys that follow.

>Flechette Blaster:
The Flechette Blaster is lightweight but lethal, a favoured tool of the Sicarian Infiltrator. It fires hundreds of tiny darts, each of which bears a dormant cerebral cell awakened in the gun's chamber. Where one dart hits home it emits a bioelectric pulse that attracts others, resulting in a series of
impacts that burrow through bone.

>Arc Pistol:
Arc Weapons are powered by bulky permacapacitors shipped from Mars' Great Repositorium. Some of these zinc-plated blocks store energy from the days when the Imperium was young. They discharge with a loud crack, firing bolts of blue-white electricity that can fry a man’s brain or overload a war machine's datacortex in a second

>Crossbow:
A crossbow is a more advanced primitive weapon which, when combined with modern materials and techniques, can be comparable to modern weapons in terms of damage infliction. They are not very common in war, but are sometimes seen with rebellious street gangs or irregular troops. Often they are developed with an automatic draw mechanism which allows for much faster reload, but it is impossible to move and reload at the same time, making it a cumbersome weapon

>Stake Crossbow:
A Stake Crossbow is a specialized weapon used by the Ordo Hereticus. When the Crossbow fires, it fires a silver stake engraved with sigils that destabilize a psyker's connection to the Warp. The impact of the stake against a psyker will not only cause a major wound, but it will cause his powers to go out of control, destroying the psyker in a storm of psychic energy. The Stake Crossbow might be attached to a bolter to form a Combi-weapon - the Condemnor Boltgun.

>Purgatus Crossbow:
More advanced Crossbows are also utilized by the Inquisitions Ordo Hereticus, and have become a symbol of their order. Known as the Purgatus Crossbow, it is a fusion of a Boltgun and a standard crossbow and is able to fire with more force than a Shotgun blast. However, it is its ammunition that is the true marvel; heavy wood and silver stakes inscribed with wards and runes designed to disrupt a creature's contact with the Warp, making it an excellent weapon to hunt Psykers.

>Phosphor Blast Pistol:
I want it.

>>39730882
>Radium Pistol:
As dangerous as they are to their wielders, radium weapons are far more deadly to the enemy. Armour may repel the solid rounds, but only the most heavily-reinforced battle plate can protect the target from the baleful energy given off by the hyper-irradiated bullets. As more and more shots are fired, the area becomes increasingly saturated with radiation until a localised rad-storm occurs, striking down the enemy with radiation sickness and leaving the ground beneath their feet saturated and lifeless. Radium weapons are so volatile that they eventually kill their wielders. The war plate worn by the Skitarii Vanguard, combined with their rad-leeching robes and augmetic limbs, goes some way to protecting them from the harmful feedback generated by these weapons, though inevitably some still seeps through. The Vanguard welcome this, for they are the Omnissiah's holy warriors and even the lethal touch of radiation is a sign of his blessing. Over time their bodies become so saturated with radiation they become weapons themselves, their mere presence enough to leave an enemy soldier reeling with nausea and a hacking cough laced with bloody phlegm. Death follows soon after.

Yup. Only 3 weapons every 30 days. After those days you can return one of those weapons and get a new one.

This limitation is done so the crewsmen don't hoard weapons and try to sell them on the black market when they arrive to some space port.

You end selecting the Arc Pistol and the Phosphor Blast Pistol. After some mechanical grinding and screeching the two weapons appear on the hatch that opens with a steam whistle.

With them come their ammunition magazines and even some synth-leather gun holsters that can be placed on your hips or under your armpits.

Both weapons are bulky and emit a lot of light but you manage to place them under your robes and hid them from plain sight, such marvelous weapons can only be wielded by worthy Skitarius and if anybody else saw them the envy would attack their weak minds.

>Galvanic Rifle:
One of the first weapons used by Martian settlers, the Galvanic Rifle was modeled after the hunting flintlocks of Mars' past. The Mk IV Arkhan galvanic rifle is a precision tool in the hands of a Skitarii Ranger. Though these wooden and burnished brass guns appear to be primitive antiques, with its polished wooden stock and curlicues that echo the sandy seas of Mars' desert, the projectiles they fire are not. Each galvanic servitor-bullet has a minute servitor built into it so it can subtly manipulate its own trajectory. The bullet also houses a galvanic cell that causes all the potential energy of the target to burn out in a blast of electrical force. These bullets could, theoretically, be fired through a more modern weapon, but that would be against the holy teachings.

>Transuranic Arquebus
The precision and inhuman efficiency that typify the Skitarii Legions are epitomized by these long-barreled heavy weapons. Firing a shell of depleted transuranium, the arquebus can puncture a tank from one side to the other, the resultant pressure wave also pulping any biological creatures that may be sheltering inside. This weapon's high-caliber rounds leaves a trail of radioactive devastation in their wake. The effect on the enemy is threefold. The initial death-toll is horrific, thinning the enemy's ranks. The radioactive fallout that follows leaves the survivors weak and ill. The terror this spreads among the enemy's ranks is invaluable to the Skitarii and the Tech-Priests' Quest for Knowledge.

>Plasma Calivier
As volatile as it is deadly, the Plasma Caliver exchanges range for a truly terrifying rate of fire. A squad of Skitarii armed with several plasma cavilers lights up the night with each volley. To say they risk life and limb in the process is a grave understatement, yet to their Tech-Priest masters, such collateral damage matters not at all.

>ARMOR
>Sicarian Battle Armour :
Agility is of paramount importance to the long-limbed killers of the Sicarian brotherhood. To this end they go to war clad in multi-layered alloy that, though thin and flexible, provides admirable physical protection. This alloy, informally known as aegium, acts as a capacitor that harnesses the energy of incoming attacks and disperses it harmlessly across the wearer's bionic frame. ( Pic related )

>Infiltration Suit:
Equipped with a Camaleonine cloak and mate materials this black suit doesn't reflects light and in conjunction with the cloak becomes nigh invisible when still. Very popular among sniper or spy units. It offers a lot of agility to movements yet little to no protection.

>MELEE WEAPONS:
>Cognis Manipulator:
Similar in design to servo-arms, the hydraulic pincers jutting from many Skitarii vehicles have been adapted to channel their host's machine spirit in times of adversity. Such appendages can effect field repairs on damaged hulls and weapon systems even in the heat of battle.

>Prehensile Dataspike:
Usually mounted on a tail-like mechadendrite, the dataspikes favoured by the agents of the Adeptus Mechanicus can stab into the cortex of enemy machines and steal their secrets within a couple of heartbeats.
>>
>>39732483
>>39732483

>OTHER GEAR
>Refractor Field ( INQUISITION ):
A refractor field generator is a small device which projects a protective energy field around the user. Its effect is to disperse the energy of an incoming shot or blow over the total area of the field. The field, although less reliable than that of a rosarius, can stop even the powerful projectiles such as lascannon and plasma hits.
Refractor fields are uncommon, and within the Imperial Guard, are used only by officers and Enginseers.

>Refractor Field ( SKITARII ):
A common sight in the ranks of the Skitarii Legions, the refractor field distorts the image of the wearer with a shimmering cloak of energy. Incoming attacks that strike the field will be refracted into multi-spectrum bursts that dissipate into harmlessness.

>Inquisitorial Mandate
The Inquisitorial Mandate lists all of the punishments for those who fail to do their duty to the Emperor and is carried by Inquisitors. Anyone who sees this book is likely to be so fearful of the punishments listed therein that they will double their efforts to prove their devotion.

>Aura-scrye:
The Aura-scrye is a type of scanning technology that has been developed by the Inquisition. Serving as a special variant of the Auspex and working under the similar guidelines as a psi-tracker, these devices work by detecting the psychic emanations which all mortal as well as Daemonic beings exude. An image of the target is than displayed through the use of an optical aid, allowing its user to determine its findings. It is a useful detection tool once it has been engaged in an active scan.
( cont )
>>
>>39732503
>Hexagrammic Wards:
Hexagrammic Wards are sometimes worn by Inquisitors when they know they will encounter psykers. They protect the Inquisitor using powerful charms and canticles of faith to psychically unnerve nearby psykers.

>Enhanced Data-Tether:
Seen as the mouthpieces of the Tech-Priests, who in turn are the prophets of the Machine God himself, those honored with bearing enhanced data-tethers are obeyed without hesitation by their reverent Skitarii comrades.

>Infoslave Skull:
The dextrous skull-and-digit adjutants that accompany senior Skitarii record hard data at a prolific rate. To know their findings are recorded and reported back is a great boon to the Skitarii, who draw courage and strength from the fact their sacrifices will not be in vain.

>>39732360
I know. I explained myself poorly. I meant to say that Heracor could try to find those bugs and if he doesn't finds them he could try to work safe from her watchful eyes but to do so he would need an air supply and a spacesuit.

>ARMOR
>Skitarii War Plate :
Skitarii warriors are protected by armoured plates designed to be worn for several years at a time. Secreted under a superdermal layer of ceramite alloy are recombinant cells that harness moisture from the wearer and recycle it. This liquid is transmuted into a gelatinous unguent that coats the inside of the suit, preventing the slow abrasion of the wearer’s body whilst affording a measure of protection from the harmful emanations of their weaponry.

>OTHER
>Omnispex:
The omnispex carries a raptor-class machine spirit that can read heat emissions, data signatures, and biological waveforms even at extreme range. Should it be kept focused for an extended period of time, it will determine the weak points of those it scrutinizes and pass them on to its master.

Hoenstly the only ones we need to change out are biologis and Cerebrus. The exploratory is a sensor for finding shit, lexmechanicus is basically a thought buffer, only other non full combat one is Psykana, which we should keep just in case.

It is a possibility. So, what should we do; return one pistol and take the Dataspike or keep both weapons?

And what happens when we need them and don't have them? the Skiitari are warriors they'll skimp or detection gear. Additionally we don't have priority when it come to specialized sensing pople(if anyone is going to get them it'd be Karelia or Julianus) If said people are still alive. The bulk of the reason why we didn't use them is because we forgot, or were running from things that were going to kill us.
>>

After selecting the Omnispex the process repeats and shortly after the sacred scanner appears, it is somewhat big and sturdy but you feel how powerful and how many possibilities it carries the moment you take it with your hands. It has a pistol grip and a pict-screen that shows whatever you are aiming at.

You try it with the other side of the wall and after some seconds its invisible eyes manage to surpass the thick door and see the cold yet alive servitors on the other side. Turning around you point to the wall that leads to the main corridor and since this one isn't so armored it manages to reveal it faster; soon the silhouettes of everybody that passes by are shown.

On one side of the scree there is a small port that you can use to connect with it and download the information it has captured or link your eyes with it and turn the Omnispex into your eyes.

There is a slacker on on the other side of the wall, apparently he's smoking some Lho-Stick and resting. Since that worker isn't going to move at all you try its weakness detecting properties with him. After a minute or so his jugular, his heart and his brain appear on it, as an extra it also shows a badly healed knee that can be used in advantage in close combat.

You ignore him and continue minding your own business, the next half hour passes quickly as you examine the weapons you recently acquired. When going out you see the man still outside with many cigar butts between his feet.
>>
>>39733767
>The bulk of the reason why we didn't use them is because we forgot, or were running from things that were going to kill us.
And we wont forget in the future? Its not even good at whats it supposed to do, all it does is glow brighter or blink. It even says in the description that its very hard to understand what it means.

The guy is about fifty years old and looks hunched and hardened by a life of work and pressures but still even if he is not a member of the Cult and his life isn't as rigid as yours he needs to be punished. Heresy comes from Idleness.

Your warpmask covers your already frightening skeletal face. Your dendrites hiss and curve over you looking like a giant claw and making you look even bigger. Opening your robes you reveal your light spewing and strange weapons and also how decorated your armor and body is.

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING!?"

From your augmented mechanical vox caster a roar like growling voice forms that makes the man empty his bladder and return to work limping from his bad knee. You might have been cruel yes but he had been filling an enclosed corridor with toxic smoke. His leaf smoke was also placed next to the armory and if it had reached any of the detectors it could have been detected as a false positive and turned the entire area into a lockdown. A fire on an armory is serious business, it couldn't only leave dozens of deaths but worst of all, it would leave them defenseless.

Considering we are working for the ordo hereticus I think it would just be easier to assume everything we fight will be chaos related and get another gun or something to help deal with it.
>>
>>39733918
It's already midnight for me so I'll let end it soon.

I'll go with "Go check on Alaria and the girls" because I have planned adding a crapton of new bionics soon, the plan is that when the ship reaches it's destination it will be able to access and communicate with its space station's internal database and thus new possibilities will be added.

My plan is to make the Cruiser and the Frigate refuel for two days or so were Heracor could augment himself or make Alaria get new bionics.
>>
>>39734257
Assumptions will bite us in the ass anon.

>>39734284
Ok cool. Alaria should probably skip bionics til she's fully grown. Otherwise they'd need to be replaced which would be inefficient.
>>
>>39734257
'Assume everything is chaos' is more Ordo Malleus really. Heretics is 'everything is a traitor for various reasons, chaos corruption being one possibility'.
>>
>>39734326

Seconding this guy. Wait 'till she's a big girl to give her bionics. She should still train though.
>>
>>39734326
Not assuming everything we fight is chaos could bit us in the ass as well. What difference does it make anyway? How does it help us? By the time we would know with it it would be too late anyway. Plus we got it on a random guard ship the inquisition probably has way better versions. Or we could just stick it to a servo skull.
>>
>>39734374
Of course she should train, both her mind and body.

It depends. Having even a little warning may save our asses.
>Plus we got it on a random guard ship the inquisition probably has way better versions. Or we could just stick it to a servo skull.
We didn't see batter versions when we switched stuff out, and the servo skull has a taser already.

>Go check on Alaria and the girls.

By the time you return to the room it has become pretty late. You find the three girls asleep together. The eldest one Liwet is in the center and tucked under each of her arms sleep one of the girls.

You don't know if Alaria has woken up during any of this time but oddly her face is now...covered in makeup. Your knowledge on this subject is pretty small specially because pretty much nobody uses them among the cult. The closest a techpriest can get to makeup is the chemical processing of the pigmentation that they may use to create a lipstick or so.

They are all tucked and covered in broken pillows, metallic bits like screws and teddy bears and plush toys of the sisters.

There is no way you can move them without waking them up, specially with your cold and somewhat noisy metallic arms. Lowering your head in defeat you sigh and think of the possibilities.

You could always sleep in the bathtub, most vat-growns that end living on their own find themselves unable to sleep on a bed and spend their night inside the bathrooms. Other possibility was your office in your temple, there was a comfy ergonomic chair with many holes from were you could insert your dendrite so their didn't bothered you...a chair was no place to sleep thought and with the background noise of forgeries and weapons firing you surely wouldn't be unable to sleep unless you disabled your hearing.

Warp dammit. There were only a few days until you reached your destination and now pretty much everything stressed you, even thinking of sleeping was something maddening.
>>
>>39734677

You even considered self injuring yourself to pass the last days on the medicae bay bed not bothered by anyone at all. It was really sad that this options was the most attractive one to you.

At the end reason hit your mind and you decided to lock the door and sleep on the bathtub. It was the least comfy option yes but also the most responsible one, you had to take care of the girls after all.

The contact of the metal with the ceramic surface of the tub was screeching and irritant even for a desensitized person like you. You tried making it slow and carefully to not wake up them and that only stressed you even more. At the end you managed to lie on the tub and rest.

It was surprisingly more comfy than you thought. Maybe you were vat-grown? You didn't know. You were able to remember your first years of life pretty much perfectly but any mention of parent or so was unheard of...

At the end you ended thinking about your origins until you tired yourself to sleep. A day less until exiting the warp...
>>
I'll end it for today. It's past midning for me already.

You all have as always 30 minutes for questions, archive descriptions, critics and suggestions.

Thank you all for playing!

Thanks for running! How many servoskulls can Heracor comfortably operate without impeding himself?
>>
>>39734732

>>
>>39734762
You guys can use a spacesuit. That's not armored and is more of a work tool. To have both armor and void capabilities you guys would need a sealed power armor of some sort. Hard to get, but not impossible.

>>39734783
>>39734794

Servoskulls can work on their own to some degree but their range of work is pretty small. I would say that he could take with himself about five and control them one by one or all of them by using turns, keep in mind that while controlling a servoskull he stays quiet and vulnerable. Also controlling five skulls and changing between them constantly so none of them goes stray is really mentally stressing so while not lethal it could damage him.

>>
>>39735055
Of course. Do it in a day like the pre-available equipment that was listed and manage the temple? That's probably more a timeskip passion project.
>>
>>39734872
>Also I'm a little confused - the girls are sleeping in our bed?

Faust and Eugen, the Skitarii duo that worked with us became a couple while we were knocked out and are now expecting a child. They thought that we were loners even by techpriest standards and thought that taking care of someone would help us, they ignored the fact that we had been taking care of Liwet for a long time because they simply didn't knew of her existence.

We are suddenly the step-father of Alaria. A techpriestess of seven years of age that lost her parents in the purge of the Frigate. Heracor didn't knew if she was truly what she seemed or just a trick to tackle him from his position of power so he questioned her about AdMech stuff. She became so fucking nervous that passed out.

Since we had shit to do we called the two sisters ( Liwet and Mellizune ) to take care of her while we were out. Their mother has pretty much sealed herself on her office so they don't mind spending time with her.

After hours of work he returns and finds the three all asleep. Any doubt about some of this?

>>39734940
The following is a preprogrammed routine, there isn't the need to control them to do that. The warpy stuff could be anything thought and the skull could bleep with many false positives, besides if we are sneaking around daemons and the skull starts bleeping like crazy it would reveal his position. I'll give the option of a warpdetecting skull thought.

>>39734937
He was tired and I was tired. I didn't thought of the idea.

>>39735001
A long-las is a sniper rifle. Why do you want a double barreled sniper rifle? About the aimbot thing. Keep in mind that the further the objects are the more time it will need to aim at them, its just basic mathematics.

It is technically possible to make what you ask.

>>39735055
Making a sealed armor isn't easy. Since the system we are heading into is a spacer one I'm sure that the people know lots of tricks to make one but that might be tech-heresy.
>>
>>39735125
>The warpy stuff could be anything thought and the skull could bleep with many false positives
That would be a problem with the sensor anyway, better to have on a skull and have an extra weapon.
>besides if we are sneaking around daemons and the skull starts bleeping like crazy it would reveal his position.
In that situation we should probably set it to dont beep mode.
>>
>>39735125
A double barreled sniper rifle would be stupid since each barrel would have different ballistics and together have fuck huge recoil. Las guns have no recoil and ballistics with them is point and shoot. So it'd be much more practical and workable. I figured the scope would decrease the work necessary to bullseye someone. Can we finetune aimbot by the way?

>I supose that finding them all asleep was cute as heck tho.
Agreed, no complaints here.

Regarding bionicing her - I'm thinking either keep her bionics light, save for perhaps some dendrites so she can grow up with them to maximise her ability to use them freely, or go GitS makoto and give her a full cyborg body.
