Ask Languid anything: ask.fm/HellbornQM

Your name is Sierra Beckhoff. You are the coolest person you know, and with one notable exception, you are probably the most badass. Basically you’re the kind of person who takes care of business and gets the job done.

You have successfully navigated through your date with Wolfgang so far, who is pretty cool even if he smells like shoe polish a little bit, not that that’s a necessarily bad thing. You guess it’s about time to go home, probably.

--

Maybe you should make a move. You’ve got all kinds of moves you could make. But the fact you’re holding Wolfgang’s hand kind of impairs your ability to think about making moves.

Maybe you should let Wolfgang make the moves? Like. Well, you’ll be the one making the moves, but you just want to make sure that he’s into you making moves, first. You don’t want to seem desperate. Still, it’s not every night you can manipulate a hot demon guy into taking you out on the town.

You feel a kind of ambiguous feeling from your date. You’re not really good enough with feelings and stuff to get what it’s supposed to mean. What if he’s totally hating everything right now and you’ll never get another chance to grab his head and push your face into his face? (+2 Stress: 5)

Wolf points toward a pat that leads out of the darkened park. “Let’s start heading back before it gets too late,” he says.

“Right,” you reply immediately. “Don’t want it getting too late or anything like that.”

Ugh. Why did you even say that? It wasn’t even funny or smart or anything. Stupid. (+1 Stress: 6) At least you’ve still got Wolfgang’s hand as collateral. He’s not weaseling his way out of this one.
>>
>>39733479

You continue on in second guessing your every action until you come to a shadowed walkway that leads to the main road, and beyond, Wolfgang’s car.

You feel a confused jumble of emotions from somewhere in front of you, just as another late-night walker appears from behind a batch of shrubbery ahead. You and Wolfgang maneuver out of his way, but somehow still find yourselves on an intercept course.

You brace yourself for one of those awkward side-to-side shuffles you do when you run into people. But the guy, hoodie and baseball cap combo pulled low over his eyes, just stops in place. You and Wolf go to go around.

Suddenly, a surge of feeling erupts from the stranger, and he whips out a butterfly knife. He steps in your way, angling his blade toward Wolfgang. “Don’t do anything stupid. Just hand over your wallets,” he growls. The mugger points his knife at you next. “Put the necklace in the purse and hand it over too.”

Oh come on. Seriously?

>Pull your gun on him.
>Get your switchblade out and rob him back.
>Use your words.
>Feign helplessness. Bait Wolf into doing some fancy magic stuff.
>Let your secret service do its job.

She could rip him in half with her bare hands.

Hell she would probably enjoy eating him.

If I was Wolfgang after seeing her, So.. where'd she put it?
>>
>>39733700

He'd think that we were absolutely adopted by the Hallows.
>>
I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible for this guy to hurt us right now. Zelathis only does 2d4 (between 2 and 8) damage. A switchblade would be substantially less than a sword, probably a 1d4. It's dark out, so we have damage soaking of somewhere between 3-5 from shadow armor currently.

Wolfgang, on the other hand, is a squishy Hellion who only has 10hp and could get cut up real nice if this dude realizes that shanking the mage is the way it do.
>>
>>39733700
The gun is less threatening than anything sierra could do to him personally
>>
>>39733700
Compared to the other stuff Sierra can do, a gun is the least of Wolfgang's worries.
>>
>>39733492
Well, Wolfgang has spent a night with happy fun time Sierra. Now it's time for him to catch a glimpse bloodthirsty, violent, ticking timebomb Sierra.

>Utilize funky demon powers (?)
>>Conspire with Wolfgang to scare the shit out of him
>>
>>39733758
Probably her waist.
>>
>>39733700
He'd probably not be surprised at all. Compared to a lot of our natural abilities, a gun isn't even that much more deadly. Just more convenient. If anything, he'd commend us on wanting to be able to defend ourself without using obvious magic or demon powers since, as other anons said, people have been trying to kill us before.
>>
>>39733878
It's in her purse, guys.
>>
>>39733864
Oh that's gonna be fun.
That awkward moment where we talk with him and Moriah about being a blackout mass murderer
>>

>inb4 "it's really obvious magic!!"
Nah. It's dark out. He wouldn't even be able to see the visual effect. The screaming noise it makes would be written off as a car doing something weird. Or maybe bugs making noise.
>>
>>39733957

You casually reach into your bag, pull out your Ruger, and aim it at the guy’s chest. “It’s not a purse, it’s a satchel,” you tell him, automatically assuming a shooting stance.

The mugger immediately drops his knife, and backpedals. “Hey! Chill out!” he says. “I’m gone, alright?”

“You’re not going anywhere yet,” you say. “Fork over your wallet!”

“Is this really necessary?” Wolfgang asks, looking at you.

“He tried to mug us, that means he’s fair game,” you explain. You take a menacing step forward, and gesture toward the mugger’s waist. “Turn out your pockets! Now!”

Hastily, the guy complies, shaking out a few nickles and dimes, a key ring, and a canvass wallet.

“Now scram,” you say, waving your gun to the side. “You’ve got till the count of ten before I put a bullet in your back.” And with that, you start counting rapidly.

The guy flees as fast as humanly possible, falling over himself a couple of times on the way. Within a minute, though, he’s gone.

You put the safety back on, and stow the weapon in your purse – that is, satchel – along with the rest of your prizes. You keep your newly acquired butterfly knife out so you start spinning it around. It’s a lot fancier than your regular old switchblade. Maybe you should have been carrying one of these around instead?

“Sierra, you’re crushing my hand,” says Wolfgang.

You pull your mind back to the present. “Oh uh. Whoops.” You allow the hand in question some breathing room.

He looks amused.

“What’s so funny?” you ask, feeling self-conscious for some reason.

“Just you,” he says, smiling to himself. “You want to turn that wallet in to the police?”

“First let’s see how much he had on him,” you say, finally letting Wolfgang go so you can check out the wallet. Besides a driver’s license and stuff, you find thirty two bucks, in the form of a twenty, two fives, and two ones. You take the twenty and hand it over to Wolfgang.

“This for being your accomplice?” he asks.

“No, this is for that time I ripped you off at McDonalds,” you say.

He searches his memory. “I almost forgot about that,” he replies.

You throw the wallet back into your bag, and grab Wolfgang’s hand and start leading him off. “You know where a station is around here?”

“We’ll drop by on the ride home,” he says.

“Any chance I’m in trouble about all this?”

“Let me tell the story and you won’t be,” Wolfgang tells you.

A walk, a drive, a stop at the police station, and another drive and walk later, you’re approaching your house. Wolfgang pulls up at the curb and parks. “I’ll walk you up,” he offers.

You graciously accept, or whatever.

“I liked that,” he says on the way.

“That as in the date, or that as in the failed mugging?” you ask.

“It wasn’t failed, we made out like bandits,” Wolfgang answers, his tone wry.

“Technically, you came out with net zero dollars gain, since it was just money I ate earlier,” you say. You notice you’re at the doorstep. You thought the driveway was longer.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. With a capital thoroughly,” he says, leaning on the doorframe. “What are your opinions on second dates?”

>I don’t know. Tonight was fun. I’ll call you or something.

More hot dates? This isn’t even a question. “Yes,” you say, just to make sure you’re both on the same page.

Young Wolf gives you a dopey smile. Usually he’s super cool and composed and everything, but you don’t really mind the lapse. In fact, him being pleased at the mere idea of being around you more is kind of cool in its own way. A really cool, kind of magnetic kind of way that makes you look at his mouth for reasons.

But the date’s virtually over, and it’d be kind of weird to try to go do something else, except you still kind of did want to do something else, something involving less talking and more other kinds of stuff.

Before he has a chance to react, you grab the front of his fancy shirt, pull him forward, and kiss him a little bit. Or kind of not a little bit. But either way, it’s not for very long, because you don’t like the idea of people seeing you while you’re being all intimate or whatever.

But now you’re on the front doorstep, gripping Wolfgang’s shirt, and he’s got a kind of surprised kind of look. You let go and push open the door behind you, beating a hasty retreat. “I’ll see you later and stuff,” you say, backing into the house.

“I’ll call later,” he says, his façade of coolness returning. But you know the truth, now. His silly smile is stuck in your brain.

You close the door and retreat to your room at speed.

---

A while later, Rowan is suddenly in your room bothering you, despite the lateness of the hour. Or perhaps because of it? “How was it?” she asks.

“Pretty good,” you say.

Rowan settles down at the side of your bed, ready for a story.

“So, we totally mugged a guy. It was hilarious,” you say. At Rowan’s look of shock, you explain. “Not like that, it was more like a counter mugging. He mugged us first. Or at least acted with intent to mug,” you say.

“Somebody tried to mug you?” she asks.

“Tried being the operative word,” you say.

She looks concerned. “Did he get hurt?”

“Naw. I just pulled a gun on him, he booked it, I stole his wallet,” you say. “We dropped by the police, Wolfgang made up some story with pepper spray or whatever.”

“That’s... nice,” she says. “How was the concert?”

“Oh. That was cool too,” you say, almost forgetting everything before the knives came out. “Check it.” You pull out your newly acquired Misnomers CD and jam it into your laptop.

You answer Rowan’s other probing sisterly questions deep into the night, though you don’t mind. It’s nice to conspire with people every now and then.

--

For the first time in a while, your life actually manages to find a routine and settle in it. You don’t have to hide so much, you don’t have to run so much, and there’s nothing really looming over you. Like. There are things you guess that are looming, but they’re not important. Everybody just wants you to focus on being a person, and you are pretty good at doing the whole person thing.

Once in a routine, and a pretty good one that you’re very pleased with, you lose track of time. A week goes by without feeling any different than a day. You’ll be biking home from school with Rowan, and then it’ll be next month, and it’s like no time passed.

Maybe it’s something to do with having family people around you. Like, even though you’re busy with stuff, there’s a couple people who are actually legitimately worrying about the other stuff for you. That’s the newest thing, you think.

From a realistic standpoint, he is probably having a religious crisis and freaking the fuck out over life itself. Besides, seeing that the girl you like is literally the devil is kind of jarring. (Yes, I'm aware she isn't literally the devil, but Baron doesn't know that.)

People just want an excuse to hate the guy, really.
>>
>>39738250
We go to Halth as part of Waldrics diplomatic party so that we can meet people and make connections. We end up either a) setting up a support and information network among the people who want a return of the Imperiate, paving the way for pressure to be put on nobles from the ground up to cede to us when we come out as the heir.

b) Some noble hits on us either thinking we aren't important enough to refuse him, or knowing that we're the heir. Young Wolf tries to fight him for our honour, we end up shooting the dude in the face with a ridiculous amount of excessive power because we are a 2015 woman and we can and will fight our own battles. Also, we're the goddamn Imperatrix and we make the rules, not the men in our lives.

c) Beach episode. Swimsuits and fanservice. One every season.

d) Reeber gets pregnant and we find out "he" is actually a "she". Fun times with hellhound puppies. We give one to Baron as a consolation prize, he names it "Hellborn".

e) Ms. Hallow gets cancer. We have to find a wellspring to save her. We get back in contact with Roger to find out if he knows anything about doing that. We find out about his friend's Dragon . . . almost, before we're pulled away again.

f) We have to go to summer school. SoL for the next 15 threads.

>>
>>39738393
>People just want an excuse to hate the guy, really.
Welcome to all romantic interests in all quests ever. It's exactly the same as shipping in any other fandom.

It's sad because in most other media this doesn't actually damage the work in question. But quests are done cooperatively with the audience.
>>
>>39738482
I love that it bothers you. I'm also like 99% sure it's only me. IDK, you know what I mean anyways.
>>
>>39738488
>brownie points
What brownie points. He's a friend who offered to teach Sierra to swim right after saving her life. Sierra should be the one spending brownie points, not him.
>>
>>39738508
Baronfags just wanted their "Average guy gets magical fetish girlfriend" cliché self insert, completely ignoring how bad of an idea it would be to have him in our life like that.

Personally, I was actually hoping for Harvey, but at least Wolfgang has the power and knowledge to not get wrecked like a scrub little bitch. We can interact with him as an equal.

Baron would never reach the levels of Rock from Black Lagoon, for instance.
>>
>>39738488
>But yeah, this is why I was ALWAYS against Baron. Dude can't handle his shit. Never could, never would.

Well he is a normal person, normal people are weird like that.

>>39738508
I can't get why people can't just live and let live. I don't hate the guy. Sure he doesn't really do anything cool, but it's not like he deserves to be hated because of that.
>>
>>39738566
>bad of an idea
And what's wrong with bad ideas? Sierra is a kid who isn't exceptionally intelligent or perceptive, her making bad decisions is a pretty natural thing, and it would take the quest into narratively interesting places.

What I find worse is that, just because you think he doesn't make an optimal choice for Sierra's boyfriend (which is fine), you think this somehow translates into a need to hate any mention of him in the quest. It's just a character, anon, let it be a character.

>>39738661
>I can't get why people can't just live and let live. I don't hate the guy.
Pretty much. I'm just saying I've seen this countless times in quests and other forms of storytelling. Just because someone doesn't like some random romantic match up that happens (or just might happen potentially) they start spewing vitriol all over that character.
>>
Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of adorable how the waifu fags somehow think that because we decide to go on a date or decide to pursue/accept advances from some guy we're suddenly route locked into boning them for eternity? Not only is this not at all how relationships work in the 21st century, we're legitimately immortal. We can easily hook up with a regular dude and spend his life with him and then bloodrage when he dies and then go hook up with someone else.
>>
>>39738750

>>39738854
Most likely true but my original point still stands, that's not how relationships work.
>>
>>39738661
Do I hate the guy? No. But do I think it would be in character to show off how a guy SHOULD treat us?

You're the one who wants to pretend like getting rejected like that doesn't hurt, I guess? Or that Sierra's never been petty?

I don't hate Baron, I hate the people who were so focused on having him as a romantic interest that they ignored everything about how bad of an idea it was.

And then Sierra got burned when she came out, and now everybody wants to just pretend it didn't happen.

>>39738750

Whoa whoa, don't push that on me. I'm not pretending anything, IC I understand Sierra would be hurt, and OOC I don't care, I never pushed for romance for anyone, I just don't get why we, as people and not as Sierra, seem to think he is absolute scum fucking deserves to be anally raped by a spiked tire. It baffles me.

I'm not pretending it didn't happen, but in an OOC discussion what I am confused by is why the anons hate him like he pissed in their cheerios right after they got told they have cancer or some shit.

When it comes to defending him, eh, someone has to stick up for the little guy, bad habit of mine from middle school hanging out with the special ed. kids.
>>
I'm back.
>>
>>39739878
Yeah, see? People defend him because they want to hear his story, and for it to be a reflection of their own. This is Sierra's story.

I mean, seriously, are you going to date the girl who's fit and funny and in the same social/economic class as you, and is kind and sweet? Or are your going to date her chunky, awkward, not very active and kind of dumber sister out of pity, jerking yourself off the whole time about how great of a person you are?

I mean, I don't think Baron is really special ed. tier, and I went along with it for the date even, but it just doesn't make any sense unless Sierra was feeling super alienated from her humanity and trying to hold onto it. And given her gang-banging history and shitty foster homes growing up, and her happy memories of her demonic family, and the Hallows replacing that as a definite non-human family, and her demonic friends etc. it didn't really seem like a realistic motivation.

So when does Sierra stop dreaming about a wonderful life and realize she's still lying underneath a blue tarp with a broken leg as Issac lines up his shot?
>>
>>39741140
Please. She never even left her gang. The whole thing about being accepted by a demonbane family was ridiculous.
>>
>Season 2 starts off with a Tartaran seer having a vision of Sierra ruling Halth from a giant black spiky throne while the rivers run red with blood like they always do because Halth is a shithole.
>>
>>39741162
Well she's not even a demon. She's currently burning to death. I mean really? Shoot a Molotov out of the air?
She was never a member of the gang. That was just a fantasy. After all you've got to think of something while your being used as a crack whore.

But of course, even thats just an illusion, a mental construct representative of her surgery in the real world as the doctors lobotomize her, leaving her permanently tarded.

Or it could be an alternate timeline from when Sierra went to the past and became her own mom, but now it'll never happen because she didn't fuck Ranthix.

Seer shit is weird.

Anyway, with an actual real kind of stable home place you can go, that lets the other parts of your life get way complicated. With time on your claws, you’re in a good position to stop reacting to life and start setting the agenda. Like. Lots of agendas, all over the place in fact. You have the resources. You have the time. You have the talent.

You just have to get serious. You know. Sometimes.

Besides forcing yourself to graduate by actually achieving academically, Cass says you should keep your options open if you decide to college it up. And if you even hope to do college, you need to get some serious extra-curricular to make up for your anemic academic accomplishments.

One thing, though, is that Rowan’s angling to go to Stanford. And with her ridiculous grades and freaking secret society credits from being a deputy marshal, and with her varied skills and well-rounded stuff, you’re pretty much sure she’s going to get in.

But you were doing some plotting, and you think that if you could go to Stanford too, if you kind of cheated a little bit. Or a lot.

>You’re a fancy shmancy artistic person, and you like it, so do that. You can actually maybe do art school someplace.
>Take up b-ball. You’ll be swimming in scholarships to anywhere if you’re ace star player awesome number seven, even to Stanford.

Aside from boring high school stuff, you’re also poised to make a break through into the magic world. You’ve got a dozen teachers, so the world’s your oyster for getting a boot in the door, at least for the basics.

>Focus on pyromancy. You’re always on fire anyway, so maybe it’s the smart choice. More tricks and more control isn’t bad.
>Xanissil’s solid with blood magic, and she’s offered to teach you. Maybe there’s a reason your name’s the Heltic equivalent of Bloodette?
>>
>>39741216
>this is actually leagues less tumultuous and hellish than usual
>sierra goes down as the thousand year emperor, the kindest and most thoughtful ruler in the history of halth
>>
>>39741241
>sierra changes into a man and becomes her own father, this explains her weird gene combination
>ranthix is actually the imperiate, all that yelling about how the imperiate cant die was about himself

Focusing in on knowing how the hell you’re supposed to do real life magic tricks doesn’t mean you’re sequestered in a library someplace, though. Ranthix is pushing his whole training regimen harder than ever. You’re pretty sure full-mortal people would die if they did half of what he’s making you do, but that’s the burden of being future Imperiate whatever: being badass as hell.

Still, there’s some wiggle room in your super hardcore Thultal training, especially with Xath and Xan acting as co-coaches to Big Red. Ranthix knows a lot, but he’s not a master of every trade out there.

>Hone your ninja skills. You can’t out power everything out there, but that doesn’t matter if they don’t know you’re there, and can’t hit you when they do.
>Start building up your strength and endurance. You can’t dodge every hit or magical BS thing your foes throw at you, but that doesn’t matter if you can take a couple hits and still break their bones with your bare hands.

Ranthix isn’t the only one who wants you to be prepared. Even if you’re no longer a Deputy Marshal, you’re surrounded by people who go out and fight magic crime, and some of that kind of bleeds into being a part of the family. Whether you’re going to the gun range or sparring with the crime team, you’re picking up the tricks of the trade. You’re getting better at everything, of course, but some things just draw your attention more than others.

>Harvey knows his guns. You should also know your guns. Demons have been shooting each other for a thousand years, you need to live up to your heritage.
>There’s no use wielding magic blades if you can’t hold your own in sweet sword fights. Rowan knows everything there is to know. You must utilize resources.
>You’re pretty good on the killing people front, but you’re not so good at the not killing people when you don’t want to front. Cassandra still has stuff to teach you about mediation and stress management.

Though not being a Deputy Marshal means you can actually learn how things work around the fief. Waldric’s got a whole underground network of demons worked out, all about avoiding hunters and making tons of money and doing demon politics for his tiny city-state sized shadow-nation. The only question is what kind of role you have in the kingdom, as a member of the conclave.

>Politics and crap is all about knowing faces. Make friends, know people, that’s what it’s all about. The community’s not huge, you should be able to get on good terms with resident demons and demonettes.

>You should prove to Walrdic – and yourself – that you can be serious and subtle and stuff. You need to have real responsibility if you’re ever going to get respect from people.
>While you support a human-friendly Baron of the Bay Area, and you’re find doing secret ninja crap on the side when it’s necessary, the less people who know you exist, the better.

Part of doing conclave stuff involves running into demons, in one form or another, and it’s kind of embarrassing that, as the rightful heir to a fallen hellish empire, you don’t fluently speak the language. You have to get good. Like. Really good. As in, fluent. It won’t take too long, hopefully – you knew it when you were a kid, and it kind of comes back to you. You just need a sort of dedicated teacher person who knows their chops.

>Xathix and Xanissil have nothing better to do, and you can teach them real English while they teach you real Heltic. You can get back into gear with how regular commoner demons speak, all down to earth and stuff.
>Orias seems to appreciate language, what with his Shakespearean studies and all that crap while he was still in Halth. He was raised at court with nobility – he’ll make sure you know your Jane Austin protocols in the highest, most malicious realms of hellish society.

Being a landmaster in addition to everything else means setting aside some time just for you. Borislav might not know much about what landmasters can do, but he’s got an undemanding day job and wild enthusiasm for figuring it out along with you. You can’t guarantee too much time with the druid, so you have to budget your time with him carefully.

>Hugo’s summons were made of fire, water, and stone. They weren’t regular animal things. You can probably improve your summons if you thought about it hard enough.
>Roger said there were tons of tricks he didn’t even know about. Before you didn’t know to look, but you’re sure you can screw around until you figure out a couple more, especially with Borya giving sage advice and quoting Pushkin at you.
>There’s got to be another landwell somewhere nearby. Borislav’s got a good idea where these kinds of things might be, and with some exploring you’re sure to find something.

And while you’re studying, learning, and punching stuff in the face, you also kind of now have a boyfriend to punch in the face. Or not. It’s not too hard to establish boundaries so you can have fun and stuff. It’s fun having a college Wolf for yourself. But it doesn’t take long before going on a date here or there somehow transforms into the longest, most stable relationship you’ve ever been in.

That’s not really saying much, you know, but you have nothing to compare it to, so you resign yourself to ignorance. You think Wolfgang is hot, and he’s pretty sure you’re hot, you’re sure, but you have to play it right. Playing it right, though, just means whatever you feel like, you guess.

>Play hard to get. Keep him wanting more. You’re pretty sure that’s something people do, sometimes.
>Just be cool. Relationships are cool just being relationships, doing cool stuff, being cool people to each other and whatnot.
>Not macking out at every opportunity is a waste of a perfectly good hot college demon guy who is also your boyfriend, which makes it okay.

Through all this, your social life isn’t dead. You need time to yourself to goof off, and also help Moriah with goofing off. If anybody deserves assistance, it’s her. Vikrama’s going crazy about magic in the best way possible, Baron’s finally embracing the fantastic reality of maaaaagic, and Rowan is still the sister you felt like you’ve been missing for the past forever.

Basically, you have to make sure these sheltered private school kids get out and do all the crazy stuff seniors should do before high school ends and the world explodes.

>Goof off by means(?)

I'm curious about what blood will be. There are tons of Infernus powers that give insane bonuses for blood consumption, it's just that it's hard to get the blood out of their bodies.

Wouldn't it be insane if we manage to get an IN+VE mix power that let us consume blood with our shadow?

Or even just straight up Haemokinesis to siphon the blood out of wounds we inflict. That'd be baller.

>Hone your ninja skills. You can’t out power everything out there, but that doesn’t matter if they don’t know you’re there, and can’t hit you when they do.
>There’s no use wielding magic blades if you can’t hold your own in sweet sword fights. Rowan knows everything there is to know. You must utilize resources.
>Politics and crap is all about knowing faces. Make friends, know people, that’s what it’s all about. The community’s not huge, you should be able to get on good terms with resident demons and demonettes.
>Xathix and Xanissil have nothing better to do, and you can teach them real English while they teach you real Heltic. You can get back into gear with how regular commoner demons speak, all down to earth and stuff.
>Roger said there were tons of tricks he didn’t even know about. Before you didn’t know to look, but you’re sure you can screw around until you figure out a couple more, especially with Borya giving sage advice and quoting Pushkin at you.
>Just be cool. Relationships are cool just being relationships, doing cool stuff, being cool people to each other and whatnot.
>>
>>39741905
Well, it's not all the things I wanted to win, but I'm not going to call you on it. MOVING FORWARD!

>>39741916

I thought it would make it more clear that instead of counting I just copied my post. Hence the "trust me" at the end.
>>
>>39741803
On a similar note, maybe we could find out what happened to Alex?
Or visit Benjamen's grandmother?

Seriously we never do anything with Sierra's past.
>>
>We've consistently fucked up shooting things when we've needed to shoot them at any time that it mattered
>Our claws are better than our sword for almost everything that isn't shooting lightning
>People vote to learn how to swordsmanship better
Ok.
>>
Is it too late to vote? I was a bit busy.
>>
>>39742105
>Demons have magic swords
>We have fucking claws
What could go wrong if we fought claw against sword?
>>
>>39742106
yes
>>
>>39742105
I think we've actually succeeded in shooting more often than not

I think we've only failed at it like once.
>>
>>39742135
I'm voting anyway! J-Just you wait! I'll do it!
>>
>>39742133
Guns > Swords. It's just that we have a pretty sweet magic sword.

I'm more sad people didn't vote for better ninja skills so we could actually get close enough or not outnumbered enough to use the sword. Or gotten tanky, and used BIG FUCKING GUNS, OH YEAH.
>>
>>39742166
>I'm more sad people didn't vote for better ninja skills
That is the only one that disappointed me.
>>
>>39742166
Gun, sword, gunswo - no. No that is fucking retarded.

No.

Hell no.

I refu - NO.
>>
>>39742133
The only thing that Zelathis is better against than our claws in terms of melee is some sort of lightning elemental or electric critter. Other than that it's utility from the concussive blasts.

I guess it also makes deeper gouges in solid material when we apply SoS and start carving, but you don't really need swordsmanship to take chunks out of large stationary blocks of matter.
>>
>>39741961
Something seems wrong to me. By my count it's:

b-ball 7 artistic 22
pyromancy 8 blood magic 21

strenght 16 ninja 13

>>
>>39742203
Lightning blasts compensate for our severe lack of ranged skills.

I mean, guns would have solved that much better, but there you are.

Our claws are alright, too, but swords > range than claws, so they're better for combat. Range is fucking important in melee.
>>
>>39742225
So, no real change at all to the voting results?
>>
>>39742225
But aren't those the same results? The numbers are different but I think that's what won in the other post

And then there's this guy.
>>
I don't know if I'm overthinking things and learning off our cultured language master will make us appear to be arrogant/thinking we're better than the lower caste demons compared to learning how to speak like the average demon so we can find things to connect with.
>>
>>39742591
There's zero chance of that happening. Sierra is too... quirky let's say, for that.
>>
>>39742591
I'm sure Ranthix will either bark at us or smarm about how we're talking like a proper queen. So we'll know one way or the other.
>>
>>39742542
Strength won? Orias won? Just be cool won? All these safe options make me sick.
Why would anyone want to sound like Shakespeare anyway when they can sound like out of control demon solders.
>>
>>39742591
Nah man, we know all about being bros and keeping it real, we don't know shit about high society and etiquette.

Do you think Obama talks like a fucking street nigger? No? Gee, I wonder why.

Oh, we'll get our wings...

Probably after accidentally blowing up in the school and roasting our friends or something...

inb4 we kill Vik and Baron in a blind rage and come to weeks later with Ro pledged to slay us for the Greater Good.
>>
>>39742667
Seeing as how the votes for the last prompt were longer than most quests' updates are, I'd say there's a steaming load of posts coming right at ya.
>>
>>39742667
Languid didn't say he was going to bed, so I assume he's writing. Writing a fuckton, specifically.
>>
>>39742725
Specifically?
>>
>>39742622
We can sound out of control with zero training though.
>>
>>39742748

Specifically, the amount he is writing is a fuckton.
>>
>>39742770
A fuckton?
>>
>>39742777
A metric fuckton, to be precise.
>>
>>39742770
>the amount he is writing is a fuckton.
How much is that in Metric Assloads?
>>
>>39741961
Yo lawn dawg if it ain't too late for shenanigans votes, I wanna ask Orias about his dragon gun and make it as ambiguously dick jokey as possible.

Or just ask him about the thing without the innuendo. I'm curious about it. Like, is it even actually made for dragons or is that just a name?

I want to knit some horn-cozies. Or just get something that works as a pair. Shit would be so cash.
>>
>>39742893
Warriors set in Halth would be something.
We should have movie nights with Ranthix and X1 and X2, introduce them to some more earth culture.
Like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly because much of Halth basically just sounds like the Wild West with more fire.
>>
>>39742917
>horn coozies
>horn top hats

>horn candles

The possibilities are endless.

Oh god yes, that would be amazing!
We have got to get Sierra to give that speech to Monster, Tiger, Reeber, and Moriah.
Moriah would be there because she's the only one who can clap properly.
>>
>>39742978
Unfortunately making that speech is a death flag.

Man, this super skip won't be done before the thread ends.

We'll do it like this: tomorrow, at 6 MST, we'll have a Q&A summary thread bonanza. I'll post the mega post, get all the character sheet updated and such.

The thread after that will be the beginning of season 2.
