Sierra Squad freeze up when they're greeted by an empty bridge on-board the Separatist flagship. When Joker takes a step in to get a better view of the sidelines, an automated alarm kicks in. The room starts to blink red and a loud peeping sound echoes throughout the room. Ones is about to pull Joker back into the elevator when you stop him.

"We don't have time for this." You mutter, throwing in an unactivated grenade. It lands in the middle of the room and rolls underneath a nearby terminal. No booby trap as far as you're concerned. "Get inside everyone. Get to work, Joker. The rest of you, find me an alternative exit."

"Why, sir?" Eights call out after everyone has left the elevator. You proceed to shoot the small panel next to the elevator, locking its doors.

"Because we're not going out the way we came in."

While the rest of your squad start to work on the mission objectives, you pull agent Maenii off to the side after you've picked up your grenade and place her behind some cover, close to where Joker is working. "Stay down and don't come out from cover unless I tell you to." She nods at your instructions, holding the blaster you borrowed to her tightly in her hands. Whether or not she's able to pull the trigger will be up for debate once the battle droids get through the locked durasteel doors. You'd rather be done up here before then, but you doubt that's going to be the case, despite Joker's fast pace when it comes to hacking.

"How's it going, Joker?" The question lingers in the air for but a moment before the Commando looks back at you.

"I have accessed the manual controls of the ship, but I haven't broken through the firewalls protecting their database."

"Good enough. Eights!" You turn about, calling out for the one clone you know have had some live experience with piloting a ship. "Take control of this ship and steer it towards Hanka. Place it sideways and aim the automatic cannons towards the other Separatist ships."

"That only covers 35% of this ship's firepower."

"I know, just do it."

While Eights and Joker are busy with the ship, Mute and Ones are still looking for a way out from the bridge. By this point, you can hear the robotic voices of droids behind the locked elevator doors. It's just a matter of time before they start to cut through them. That's when Ones and Mute approach you.

"Not plausible." Mute replies to an unheard statement, but Ones raise his hand at his brother to silence him.

"We'll see what Chief has to say about it."

"About what?" You question your Commandos while Maenii is trying to gain your attention by poking at your shoulder lightly.

"We only found one way out of here that's not the elevator; if we break the windows and jump out, we can walk on the ship's exterior until we reach a hatchet that will probably take us down to the maintenance section. It's a 20-30 meter walk. There's only one problem though." Ones explain, pointing at the windows at the front of the bridge.

"And what's that?"

"Her." Mute points at agent Maenii. She isn't wearing a suit like Sierra squad is and walking out in space like that, even for 20-30 meters, will get her killed.

Which of our brothers is the best at defensive actions? Pick him to hold the fort while we work fast.

So far you haven't seen everyone's capabilities in that area. If you consider 'The best defense is a good offense' is ideal, then Mute has a track record for being the most lethal one of your Commandos.

"You two will break through the window, get down to the maintenance section and work your way back up here. Flank them from behind and pull the fire off of us." You order Ones and Mute, catching the attention of Eights and Joker as well in the process. "The rest of us will remain here and hold our ground until we can fight our way down the elevator again. It's the only way."

While your men start to get ready, the agent pokes at you again, trying her best to gain your attention. She's such a fragile thing, but you're uncertain whether or not this is her true nature, an act, or if she's just weak from her wounds. There's no point doubting her in the middle of a critical mission, so you remain confident in her words.

"They're coming." She points at the durasteel doors when you look at her. The doors are indeed being pried open by laser fire from the other side. Within moments, this room will fill up with battle droids. You look over at Mute and Ones, but they're already jogging towards the windows at the forefront of the bridge. In pure reflex, you grab onto Maenii and latch onto the cover. She holds onto your arm. Eights and Joker are also holding onto their terminals. Just as the elevator doors open up, Mute and Ones crush the windows and leap out before the open holes are automatically sealed. Several of the droids in the ambush party falls head first to the floor due to the sudden moment of sheer force from no gravity that quickly pass by.

Without an order, your Commandos launch themselves into nearby cover and return fire upon the battle droids pouring into the room. From a quick count, you can make out about 25 of them, but the elevator has already moved down to get more reinforcements. If you don't do anything soon, you'll be overrun in seconds.

You quickly pull out your Ion rifle attachment and from months of training and experience, you equip it with great ease and you're back in action in no time. Agent Maenii has even started to fire at the battle droids as well, but your squad are not dropping enough droids to make a dent in their numbers when another elevator filled with battle droids rise up behind the current group on the bridge. If you can't get out from here soon or thin down their numbers, it's all over.

Maenii suddenly surprise you when she pulls a thermal grenade from your belt and throws it into the midst of enemy ranks. The explosion sends a great deal of destroyed droid pieces flying all over the bridge. In the disarray, the agent moves away from you and leap into a cover closer to the droids and continues to rapidly fire the blaster in her hands. It's like watching a whole different person than whom she was before. Instead of the clumsy, weak, and fragile image you had of her in your head, she has proven to be quite the lethal killing machine with great reflexes.

However, despite the thermal grenade, the number of droids are still staggering in the bridge and the elevator has already moved down to pull up more droids.

"Where's Mute and Ones?!" Joker yells over the blaster fire.

The Ion rounds continue to pump out from your rifle, dropping droid after droid, but you're still far from making a dent in the enemy ranks. Suddenly you hear a stiffled scream and a grunt from behind. You drop down into cover again to figure out what just happened. Your eyes fall on Eights who have lost his shield and has been hit in his left shoulder. The blaster shot burned through his shoulder armor. He's down on one knee, but instead of sitting down to ease the pain, he straps the rifle onto his back and pulls out his hand blaster and drops two droids with his shots.

"This pain is nothing." He roars as he fires away at the enemy.

Where's Mute and Ones? What's holding them up? Has something happened to them? Joker is still firing away while Eights is dealing with the pain from his wound but continues to fight. Agent Maenii is moving about from cover to cover, exploiting the weakness points in the enemy ranks. You've terminated about 20 droids, but when the elevator comes up again, a new batch of battle droids emerge into the bridge.

"SBDs!" Joker shouts out at the sight of 3 Super Battle Droids who are joining the battle.

The SBDs have to be taken care of immediately or this stand will end sooner than you have anticipated. With a precise throw, your last Ion grenade drops between the three SBDs. The following explosion fries the system of all three SBDs and a whole chunk of nearby battle droids, rendering them all useless. The elevator leaves the bridge once more and the battle continues between the Commandos and the droids. You're starting to make some progress towards the elevator by this point, but you're still very much stuck in front of a horde of battle droids.

However, when the elevator arrives to the bridge once more, a pleasant surprise awaits you; the droids start to lose numbers from behind and it turns out to be the two missing commandos from your squad returning at long last. They must have fought one helluva fight downstairs to make it up to the bridge. Your Ion rounds eventually run out and you remove the attachment just as Mute finishes off the last droid with a kick in the back, and a shot in the head.

"Am I glad to see your ugly face, brother." Joker chuckles as he and Ones clasp their arms together in a brotherly handshake.

"Excellent work, Mute." Eights compliments Mute with a grunt. The quiet Commando merely nods at Eights before he starts to move towards the elevator, following you in tow. While Eights wound is concerning, it will have to wait until you're on-board your ship again.

"Are you done up here, Joker?" You ask once everyone is inside the elevator. He gives you a thumbs up and nods before the elevator starts to move down one level. With the Separatist flagship firing towards its own ships and placed too off course to fire back a the Republic ship any time soon, this small fleet is doomed. The Republic only has to clean up the sector and it'll be a great victory. Looking over at Maenii, she doesn't seem wounded at all despite not having any armor or shields to boot. Strange. She must be quite skilled to dodge all those shots aimed at her.

There will be time for questions later though, because right now your top priority is to get off this ship.

By the way, I've been wondering, do jedi use some form of mind reading in there predictive sense, do they use probability, or does it work some other way?

If its mind reading than we could kill a jedi by making a very well crafted foolproof assassination strategy, and then at the last second disregard the entire damn thing and improvise.

If its probability we can defeat it by doing something hilariously out of character, such as us randomly exposing ourselves.

If its something else I'm not so sure.
>>
>>39812183
No mind reading, but they can see glimpses of the future and sense stuff that is about to happen.

HK-47 said in the KoToR games that the best ways to kill a Jedi is either by using their companions against them or by not planning it at all and just act on the moment.

You guys do realize there is an alternative to killing the jedi and to joining the rebellion. What is the chance someone would give an order to assassinate every jedi ever conveniently when we are on the brink of a galactic victory, and what is the chance the high chancellor would do such a thing, it is probably an act of desperation by a failing enemy, and if it isn't I'm sure the emperor will have time to tell us directly to do it again, in a verifiable manner. In the mean time we should probably notify the jedi that there is a potential assassination order on his life that might be a droid attempt and as such he should avoid dying, unless it is valid in which case we'd like to politely ask that the jedi later report in for being murdered.

Pushing the Force Unleashed aside is alright. It's not canon. What is canon though, is Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka is part of the first bastions of the Rebel Alliance 15 years after the clone wars ended + the Main character and his teacher. The frantic journey down to the hangar proves to be a quicker one than the trip from it to the bridge earlier. However, this time the ship is filled with an alarm booming over the speakers and the majority of all the droids are running about in a state of pure panic while the team of Commandos and their agent are traversing through the ship in great haste. Upon reaching the hangar, you find the ship you came here with still intact. It's better than nothing, even if you might get blasted on your journey back to the Republic ship unless the Captain checks for a docking code before he decides to open fire. Luckily, he knows of your plan so it might not turn out so horribly. The realization of the scolding that awaits you from the General finally sinks in. It's not a pleasant thought, but at least you and your squad completed the mission without any casualties. That's always a victory in your books.

"Get on-board, on the double, Commandos." You order your men, standing by as each one of them rush onto the ship along with the agent in tow. You're the last one to get in before Eights takes off. He's grunting in pain, but continues to refuse Mute or Joker to take the controls from him. While everyone's busy up front in the ship, you silently make your way towards the secluded back of the ship.

"Command, this is Sierra 1. Do you copy?" You try to contact Command.

"Command-- Do you-- Reports-- 1?" The reply is sporadic at best, but it'll do.

"We've rescued an Republic agent named Maenii. Her serial number is 00307. Can you confirm?" The question is followed by silence. Before a response can be given, you hear footsteps behind you and a familiar voice calling out to you.

"What are you doing?" She asks suspiciously. The agent narrows her eyes at you, crossing her arms as she stares you down. "You don't trust me?" She's still holding onto your blaster in her hand.

"I trust you, Maenii, but as an intelligence agent you must understand my cautious nature. For a wounded person working in a profession that doesn't require combat capabilities, you displayed quite the skills with my blaster." You reply, your eyes wandering down to the blaster in her hand. You're certain that she won't shot you, but even if she proves to be a Separatist spy and this is all a scheme, she won't be fast enough to drop your shield before you've disarmed her.

"Identity confirmed-- MIA before the war-- Sierra 1. Over and out." Command reports back through your comm, which only relieves you a little bit, but your guard remains firm. She's been missing for quite a while and who knows how long she's been a prisoner? She could have turned into a traitor by now.

"Your identity has been confirmed by command." Maenii backs off and return to her previous timid nature, giving back your blaster.

"I might be many things, but a liar is not one of them."

"They told me you went MIA before the war. How long have you been a captive?" Your voice comes out riddled with pity, despite your best attempts to sound neutral. She only glance over at you with an undisturbed expression as she turns about to walk back to the others.

"For too long." You catch her whispering with a sad tone before she leaves you in the back of the ship. While you try to collect your thoughts, you feel the ship land and you catch a glimpse of your team leaving the spacecraft. However, before you can leave the dropship, you get the feeling someone's watching you from the shadows.

You know, our rampant paranoia is probably causing san loss and might be our way of being fucked up by the war, Eights took it as depression followed by fanatically idolizing us, Ones internalized it as rage, Mute is probably a serial killer, and Joker vents his built up stress vocally and has a lingering form of pessimism.

If you want, I can probably go into a few other fucked up characters, for example, the general (the jedi master) has gotten much more hostile with those he views as not fulfilling his moral code. He hates us not because he thinks we are incompetent, but because he thinks we wouldn't go out of our way to save civilians (note: he was not on the ground for that assault), that we are not good people or good soldiers.

We haven't seen Yna since she got fucked up, which is a red flag in and of itself, also she clung on to us as a superior to her due to us rescuing her on two occasions. If there is one thing you've come to trust above all else, even your own squad, from your time in this war, it's your instincts. With a hand clenched around your blaster and your wrist-mounted vibro blade out on your other hand, you move closer into the dark corners of the dropship. In the back of it you notice several empty metal crates, but as your search continues, you find nothing of importance or the source of your gut feeling. Shrugging it off as paranoia after a mission, you turn about and leave the dropship behind you, making sure to close it up.

You find your team waiting for you by the hangar's exit. However, before you can address them you hear the familiar voice of the Captain over your comm.

"Sierra 1, what did you do?" He asks. His voice has a mixed tone of surprise and happiness.

"What do you mean, sir?" You're clueless to what he's talking about. You told him about your plan, didn't you? Is he asking about agent Maenii?

"The Separatist flagship just crashed straight into the ship it hadn't destroyed with its cannons." His voice trails off. He's probably still too stunned for proper words. You don't respond, but your gaze falls on Joker, but he only shrugs at you. He didn't do anything he wasn't ordered to do. Then who did it? Wait a minute, Joker wasn't the one controlling the ship...

Amidst the confusion, Eights has taken off his helmet and a pained smile cross his features when he looks over at you.

"For the Republic." He spouts in a grunt, still resisting the pain coursing from his shoulder throughout his body.

>"I'm proud of you, Sierra 5."
>"You've come a long way since Geonosis, Commando. Good job"

"You've come a long way since Geonosis, Commando. Good job." You pat him on the back followed by your other squad members also congratulating Eights on a successful job. In this moment, despite what happened before this and how close you came to dying during this mission, you feel like everything you've put on the line so far has been worth it. Because right now, the morale of your squad is through the roof and this is something Sierra squad needs. While Joker and Ones start to argue with each other who killed the most clankers and Eights is bathing in the glory of his own personal victory and Mute is following you quietly as always, you find yourself beside Maenii as the team leaves the hangar. You quickly send off Eights and Maenii to the med-bay before the rest of the team follow you to the bridge.

As you walk through ship you start to notice that the other clones and aliens, be they soldiers or ship crew members, are cheering at you and applauding your decisive victory. How they could have heard about it already baffles you, but you don't have time to stop and ask any of them. You're needed on the bridge at once. The remaining journey continues to be filled with cheers and proud statements and shouts from passing clone troopers and engineers.

"Looks like your plan worked out after all." The captain greets you when you reach the bridge. He shakes your hand and nods at the rest of the team that are present.

"How does everyone know it was us?" Ones is the one asking the question on your mind. The captain pauses and looks towards Joker.

"You haven't told them yet?" And everyone's gaze falls on Joker this time.

"I figured it would only ruin the footage if I did." He replies, walking up to the oval holo-projector nearby. After a few clicks, five windows of PoV's appear on the 'screen'. They're all PoV's from all the members of Sierra Squad. Everything you've done today has been recorded.

"I was ordered to do this by the General for the Republic's Fist propaganda. By this time tomorrow, they will have edited this into a video and after that, the entire galaxy will know about the Republic's victory here today and about us." Joker explains himself at last, looking at you for approval.

>Nod at him in approval before contacting the General.

You nod at him, giving away your approval. He nods back, seemingly quite proud of his decision. You figure that there's no point stalling it any longer and proceed to contact the General through the Holo-projector. After only a few seconds, the image of Zen Malcov is displayed in blue on the Holo-projector. You and the rest of your team along with the Captain, salute him.

"At ease, soldiers." He replies to your salute with a neutral tone, "I suppose congratulations are in order for your decisive victory today, Commander."

"Thank you, sir. I couldn't have done it without my team." You reply and for the rest of the conversation, you're surprised that not for a single moment does the general stop to scold you or reply with snide comments. He formally explains your next mission and informs you about your squad's transfer from your current position before the conversation ends between you. He must have been pleased by your success after all.

(2/3 - Apparently)

The sound of echoing boots clatter to the floor as the five figures walk through the grand temple hallway in unison. As they pass by several figures with robes, the men nod respectfully to the five figures before the party moves on past them. In the distance you can hear the sound of laser striking laser and the loud noises of object either falling to the floor or being tossed into nearby walls. As the team of five pass by several open oval rooms filled with children and younglings, they all peer out on the armoured individuals.

"Wow!" One of the exclaims at the sight of the team.

"Isn't that them? From the broadcasts?" Another of the younglings ask a nearby alien girl as they both stare in awe at the five soldiers.

"Yeah, it is. Did you see their mission on Jun'gai? It was awesome. What are they doing here?"

"Must be something important." Another youngling comments, which pulls the attention of another human child.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because, the Republic's Fist is the elite of the elite. Everyone knows that, even the Jedi Order knows that by this point."

"Aren't jedi knights the elite of the elite?" The alien girl looks back at the boy talking about the soldiers.

"Yeah, okay." He chuckles before he returns to the instructor who's been calling for their attention for the past minute they've been staring at you and your squad as you passed them by. A month has passed since the first propaganda video was released and you've been on three other critical, high-stakes missions after that. You've truly earned yourself the title of the Republic's Fist by now.

As you round yet another corner, you see a figure leaving an oval room at the end of the hallway. She immediately notice you and waves at you cheerfully before she starts to jog down the many stairs, heading in your direction. Upon reaching you, both parties stop and just look at each other for a short moment before you raise your hand at her. She shakes your hand, a smile forming on her lips.

"Welcome back to the Team, Yna."

>>
>>39816840
Is she a counselor or guardian?

Or whatever the classes was from kotor
>>
>>39816840
Thanks for the run whiskey. It was great, as usual. Keep up with the good work man !
Slight criticism, I didn't feel a lot of liberty/importance of our decision in this one ; but maybe that's just me.

Anyways, you kept me awake longer than I intended to ;)
>>
>>39816840
thanks for running

now we must make jokes and ask her if we are to refer to here a "Master Jedi"
>>
>>39816840
So she heal up alright?
>>
>>39816893
Guardian - Great with a saber, jump good. Bit tanky

Sentinel - Stealth, immune to fear/paralysis etc, highly skilled.

Yeah, I can confess to that being something lackluster to this part as well. I suppose I'm still trying to get back into QMing. I'll be sure to make your decisions wage more next time!

Would the Commandos even care beyond identification?

Since they all look the same it seems they'd really only be concerned with what's on the inside.
>>
>>39816962
Well yeah, the guys aren't robots mang.
>>
>>39816948
Did we get agent Maenii holo number or equivalent ?

>>39816962
That's... an interesting point of view ; I've never considered how clones could see the others' appearance.

They all look the same, but they can tell each other apart outside the armor. Every one of them has developed their own habits. If anything, a clone would notice smaller details much easier than normal people.

Maybe that means we'll actually notice Yna's clinginess.

>Did we get agent Maenii holo number or equivalent ?
You'll work alongside her again in the future and have contact with her, yes. If that's what you're asking?
>>

He wants dem digits for a clone booty call, naw mean?

He want'n to get all up in dat Maeniii.

>Maybe that means we'll actually notice Yna's clinginess.
I'm not sure about it ; since we are breed for war in the sense that our education was much about human relations and psychology, and we are only 10 years old in real time due to accelerated growth, I guess a clone would notice those signs subconsciously and use them to identify people, but wouldn't be able to use them to interpret the state of mind of other persons. They kinda lack the social background.
