Hey guys. Sorry for the delay between threads but life has been busy with family stuff and lots of summer cleaning/fixing, other than that we’re probably going to have a timeskip soon, maybe a couple months or so, we’ll see. Other than that, I hope you all enjoy the thread.
>Fate Point:1
>Money: $25
>Equipment: Tier 2 Assault Rifle. Tier 2 Armor (+4 wounds). Tier 1 Pistol. Standard Ammo: 1. Tier 1 Knife. Tier 1 Bandolier. (Carry Capacity, 1 Ammo, 1 Misc) Tier 1 Rucksack. (Carry Capacity 4.) Quality Lighter. Tier 1 Med-kit. Tier 2 Med-kit. Tier 1 Toolkit.

Your name is William, aka Billy and as the last of the women who had been held captive in the strange locked corridor are escorted away by the ladies that Mars brought with them, Morrigan gathers everyone up again.

“Let’s get out of here,” she says, to which everyone nods, following her downstairs. You think that everyone is still concerned about something, but you aren’t sure what. As you make it down the last flight of stairs and head towards the main entrance, you encounter Koko and her squad once more.

“Morrigan!” calls out Koko, almost jumping on top of her, “You’re back! I see that you’re all still alive and healthy as well.”

“Yeah, don’t sound so surprised,” says Morrigan as she pulls out one of her cigarettes, patting her pockets to find her lighter.

“I was just concerned for my best customers,” says Koko, her people packing up and heading towards their wagons, “I would hate to see you hurt.”

“Only cause our money would go to Doc Smith instead of you,” replies Morrigan, lighting her cigarette.

“Maybe,” says Koko with that fake grin of hers, “But I would still miss you.”

“Yeah, I’m sure,” says Morrigan, “When’re we leaving?”

“Tomorrow morning,” says Koko, suddenly switching over to business, “Mars says they’re still securing the area and there are still plenty of places to look around. We might even sell some things to our employers. See you then!” Koko then runs off with her troops.

“Well fuck,” says Morrigan, turning back to the rest of you“Looks like we’re going to be here overnight folks.”

“So what now?” asks Nem.

“I don’t know,” says Morrigan, “Plenty to do around here, see the sights, meet some people…”

“Loot,” says Nem.
“Loot,” says Morrigan with a grin and a nod.

“I’ll…I’ll be where they’re keeping the civilians,” says Sarah, to which Cath nods.

“Alright,” says Morrigan, glancing at Bell, “What’re you going to do?”

“I don’t know,” says Bell, “I’ll find something to do.”

“Don’t get in trouble,” says Morrigan, before turning to you, “What about you Billy?”

“I’ll go with you,” you say to Morrigan, who then grins at you around her cigarette.

“We’ll make a proper Merc out of you yet Billy,” she says, before turning back to everyone else, “I dunno where we’re going to sleep tonight, but don’t get into any trouble and meet back by the wagons by dawn tomorrow, Koko likes to leave early and I want to get back to Doc’s if at all possible.”

“Right,” says Sarah, Bell and Cath both nodding before they head off, Sarah and Cath headed off towards where you remember the high school being and Bell wandering off towards the center of town.

“Nem, Billy,” says Morrigan, “Let’s go find us some loot.”

“My favorite part of the job!” says Nem, nearly skipping on her feet as Morrigan leads both of you to the corner of the hospital, near where Koko and her people are already trying to engage some of the Mars soldiers into buying from them. “But where do we check? This is a big town.”

“Hmm…” says Morrigan, looking around, “Well there was that armory we scouted.”

“Mars probably went through it already,” notes Nem.

“Highschool?”

“Same.”

“There are plenty of houses around.”

“Most of them are going to be empty or not have anything good.”

“Hospital?”

“We were just there, didn’t see anything.”

“We weren’t looking very hard either.”

“True, but Mars and Koko were in there too.”

Morrigan sighs, running her hand through her hair.

“Well where do you think we should go then?” she asks Nem.

“You’re the leader,” says the small girl with a grin, “I just like the looting part.

Morrigan shoots her an aggravated look and then turns to you.

“What about you Billy?” she asks, “You have an opinion?”

“High School,” you say to them.

“The high school?” asks Morrigan, frowning a little bit, “Enh what the hell, we didn’t get to see the inside of it and there’s plenty of places for a paranoid bunch like this to hide shit in them.”

Heading south-east, through the city you can see Nem nearly skipping about, apparently very eager to get to the looting part of the mission.
>>
>>39942969
being clueless is never not the option.

“Geez Nem,” says Morrigan as you walk, “You look like a kid going to her first day of Kindergarten.”

“Hey,” says Nem, now somehow managing to skip backwards, “This is the best part! We already got paid for the job and now we get to take the stuff of the people we were paid to take out. Besides, stealing everything from a high school was every kids dream when growing up right?”

“Not really,” says Morrigan with a smirk, “There were a few kids I may have wanted to scare with my dad’s rifle, but I can’t say there was too much in my high school that I wanted to take home with me.”

“Not even a boy?” says Nem in a singsong voice, clearly teasing Morrigan.

“Of course not,” says Morrigan with a sigh, “I was a tomboy even then and you know it, nobody wanted to touch me with a ten foot pole.”

“Probably because of your winning personality!” says Nem.

“Says the flat midget with sticky fingers,” replies Morrigan with a grin of her own.

“Hey!” says Nem, not really all that offended sounding but more acting, “I’ll have you know that I’ve had plenty of guys come after me.”

“The police don’t count Nem,” says Morrigan.

“It’s my womanly charms!” says Nem, suddenly turning to you, “I’ve got plenty, right Billy?”
>>
>>39943626
“Uh…” you say, not sure what they’re talking about.

“Don’t bring Billy into this Nem,” says Morrigan, “He doesn’t even know what high school is.”

“What is high school?” you ask.

Morrigan pauses, then shrugs.

“High school is a miserable pile of confused people being forced into rooms with a bunch of other people they don’t necessarily like and then forced to learn a bunch of useless shit that nobody actually needs to know for life and then finally mixed with a bunch of hormones.”

“…Hormones?” you ask her.

“Nevermind,” says Morrigan, even as Nem laughs a bit, “We’re here though.”

You stop in front of the high school, you remember it from the scouting mission. The large sprawling and multi-story building doesn’t look as bad as Morrigan made it seem, but you can still see a few of the Mars guys out front and a few more wandering around by the field you were at before.

“Do we just walk in?” asks Nem.

“Do you have another suggestion?” asks Morrigan.

“Climb in the windows?” says Nem.

“That sounds like a dumb idea,” says Morrigan, “we could try the back instead.”

“I still say the windows are a good idea.”

“If we’re going to try that we should try something else first…”

You decide that you want to see the inside of the horrible place Morrigan described; it doesn’t look like that bad of a place. Leaving Nem and Morrigan to discuss which way you should go in, you approach the front door of the place, where a few Mars guys are standing, presumably guarding it. As you approach however, they turn towards you, their hands moving down towards their weapons.

“Halt,” says one, raising his hand towards you, his face hard and frowning, “This place is off limits to anyone except Mars personnel. What are you doing here?”

“Uh…” you say, “I wanted to see inside.”

“What,” says the man, “Why did you want to see the inside, what’s your business?”

“I just…never saw a high school…” you say.

Thankfully by the time the man starts to speak to you, Morrigan and Nem have arrived, though they look a little frazzled.

“Is there a problem here gentlemen?” Morrigan asks, a funny tone to her voice even as she places a hand on your shoulder.

“Yes,” he says, the other three at the door now with their hands on their weapons but not quite pointed in your direction, “You aren’t supposed to be here, this area is Mars personnel only, you need to leave.”

“Well fuck then let us in,” says Morrigan, taking her hand off of you and taking a step towards the guy and his friends.

“What do you mean let us in lady, I’ve never seen you before in my life,” says the man, his posture still aggravated, “You sure as hell aren’t wearing Mars colors either.”

“That’s cause I’m not,” says Morrigan, fishing around in her ammo pouches for a second before pulling out a piece of paper, “This says I am though.”

“What’s that?” says the man, frowning at it like it’s going to explode.

Morrigan unfolds the paper and begins reading in a slightly dramatic fashion, “The holder of this document and those under her employ as agreed to by the aforementioned sections yadda yadda legalese shit, shall be treated as a members of Mars Incorporated for the duration of the search and destroy mission on Salina Kansas etc. etc ad naseum.” Morrigan pauses and gives him a grin, “Signed by me and your boss two days ago.” She holds the document out to the man, who frowns some more but takes it and looks it over.

After a minute and some mumbling to his friends he hands it back to Morrigan, still a little unhappy about it but apparently satisfied.

“Alright you can go in,” he says, “Just don’t expect much, we trashed the place pretty good, they didn’t want to give this place up.”

“Thanks man,” says Morrigan, giving them a bit of a wave and leading you and Nem inside. As you do so, Morrigan grabs your arm and whispers into your ear, “Billy, don’t you ever wander off like that on me again, you could’ve got us all shot.”

You nod, chastised at her statement.
>>

Apparently satisfied for the moment, Morrigan lets you go and you look around. There’s lots of faded colors around, as well as a decent number of bullet holes and a few blood spatters as well.

“Alright…” says Morrigan, looking down three different hallways, “Where the hell should we start looking, this is a big place.”

“Hey over here,” says Nem, pointing at a slightly blood spattered picture on the wall, “Looks like a map.”

You and Morrigan move over to where Nem is, the two of them looking at the map.

“What do you think, top floor?” asks Morrigan, “There’s three of them and I bet there’s some good stuff up there.”

“No too high,” says Nem, “I bet anything heavy they didn’t want to carry up more than one set of stairs.”

“We don’t want too much heavy stuff,” says Morrigan, “we don’t have trucks remember.”

“Well what about this,” says Nem, pointing to a place near the middle of the map, “Looks like some kind of boiler room or basement, they might’ve put something good there.”

“Hmm…” says Morrigan, “Let’s check out the basement, they might’ve missed it when they searched.”

“Sounds like a plan,” says Nem, putting her finger on the various parts of the map, most likely to figure out how to get there, “Let’s go!”

“Right, right,” says Morrigan, even as Nem leads the way down the hall.

It takes you a few minutes and Nem has to backtrack once, but eventually you find yourself headed down a flight of stairs and standing next to a rather solid looing metal door. Morrigan tries the door, only to find it locked.

“Nem, unlock that will you?” she asks, raising her rifle and pointing it at the door, to which you follow, “There might be something inside.”

“Roger,” says Nem, pulling out her little kit from before and working on the lock. It takes her longer this time, accompanied by a few swear before there’s a loud clunk from the lock and Nem nods. Packing up her kit she takes a hold of the door and her shotgun.

“Ready?” she asks.

“Ready,” says Morrigan with a nod.

Nem opens the door as quickly as she can, the door opening surprisingly quietly on its hinges. You and Morrigan go in one after the other and check the area. There doesn’t seem to be anyone around and as Nem follows you through, into the basement, Morrigan eventually calls “Clear,” and you do the same.

Looking around, the basement is mostly dark, only dimly lit by the occasional window in the upper part of the wall. There’s some machinery in the corner, most of it old and rusted looking. You have no idea what it’s for of course, but something else draws your attention or rather, several something else’s.

“Shrines…” says Morrigan, “To that creepy whack job of a leader they had.”

“Yeah…that’s not weird at all,” says Nem, her shotgun still held at the ready.

“Fucking hell,” says Morrigan, leaning down to look at one of them, “There’s blood down here too.”

“Shit…” says Nem, “Anything good down here?”

“No I don’t…wait what’s that?” says Morrigan, pointing to a crate in the middle of the shrines.

“Dunno…” says Nem, approaching it slowly before opening the top.

“What’s in it?” asks Morrigan, to which Nem starts laughing.

“Booze!” she calls out, “They’ve fucking got booze down here for when they worship their creepy ass leader.”

“Wait really?” says Morrigan, letting her rifle slide to her side, “Sweet, how much?”

“Looks like a few bottles for each of us,” says Nem, handing out the stash, handing three bottle to both you and Morrigan.

>Three bottles of moonshine acquired.

“Well not what I was hoping for,” says Morrigan, “But not bad.”

“Could’ve found jack shit,” says Nem, “So I agree, still a creepy looking place though.”

“Yeah,” says Morrigan, looking off into the dim light where you haven’t gone yet, “Creepy.”

Do you not understand how aerodynamics works?

If it leaves out it's gear, and operates the flaps that much while going at jet powered speeds, it will start to break itself up.

The gear will tear off, the flaps will break.

If it puts that shit away, yes, it will go fast, don't be an idiot and assume others are as stupid as you.

Try flying a jet at over 600 km/h with its gear down, I dare you.

IF IT WANT FLY WITH PARTS OUT IT BE SLOW.

Nothing to do with the status of landing or takeoff as it is about trying to fly full speed with gears and such out

IT NO MATTER IF LAND OR GO. IF TRY GO FAST IT NO WORK LIKE THAT.

Morrigan stares down the dimly lit basement for a bit more before she raises her rifle again, pointing it down where you haven’t gone yet.

“Come on,” she says, taking a step forwards, “I’ve got a feeling that there’s something else down here.”

“Like what, zombies?” asks Nem, who nonetheless follows Morrigan with her shotgun up. You follow after them, turning backwards and covering the rear since it’s still dark and somebody could come up behind you.

“No,” says Morrigan, “Just something.”

“Well whatever it is I hope it doesn’t try to eat our brains,” says Nem.

The basement is quite long, apparently running most of the length of the school. You see some more machinery scattered about and you think you hear a rat skittering around in the dark but you don’t see it. Eventually you hear Morrigan stop so you do as well.

“What’s that door?” asks Morrigan.
“Dunno,” says Nem, “You wanna check it out?”

“Yeah,” says Morrigan, tapping your shoulder for you to turn around, “Billy, get the door.”

You nod, turning around so that you can see the slightly worn door in front of you.

“On three,” says Morrigan and you count down, on three pulling the door open.

Morrigan and Nem rush in, you follow. Inside appears to be an office of some kind. Morrigan lowers her rifle and looks down at the desk, pulling something off of it.

“Anything?” asks Nem, who lowers her shotgun.

“Yeah,” says Morrigan, frowning, “Listen to this. “Build your forces, make sure they are loyal. If you can, destroy the base of the fallen nation and expand your power. We will make sure you have enough weapons and ammo to continue your conquests if you are not wasteful. The first strike is coming soon. Stay faithful and you will be rewarded.”” Morrigan looks down at the letter in her hand and then back up to Nem, “What do you think of that?”

“Sounds like a bunch of crazy bullshit if you ask me,” says Nem, “Like something a weirdo would write up and then tell his followers he had some higher backing.”

“Yeah,” says Morrigan, “It does.”

“What’re you going to do with it?” asks Nem, gesturing to the letter and the small pile of other things on the desk.

1's and 20's count for the quality roll yes. You've gotten 1's on it before.
>>
Rolled 2, 12, 7, 2, 17, 7, 18, 9, 15, 10 = 99 (10d20)

>>39946790
How though?
>>
>>39946820
but we didn't roll any 1's on the first roll, do they count for what the loot is or is that the table aspect of it?

I'm just not sure what rolls are being used and taken for this

> You've gotten 1's on it before.
we've gotten 1's on EVERYTHING before
>>
>>39946790
But isn't that bogus? Can you provide an example of that happening?? Also by influencing, does having the name field filled up tip the 'scale' of tg dice??

like what I'm doing
>>
>>39946845
Roll d20's for quality.

Roll d#'s for random table.
>>
>>39946833
not like that
>>
>>39946820
why would 1's count on a 1d14? also you can't get a 20 on a 1d14...

I am confused.

>>39946833
no idea on the specifics

>>39946855
like 5 years ago anons did statistical analysis of several QM's trips and names and their rolls and found some interesting and not random at all results, was in one of /tg/s many math threads long ago and the code hasn't changed since

“I’m going to keep it,” says Morrigan, scooping up the assorted papers and books and putting them into her rucksack, “It may be something, may be nothing but just leaving it here won’t do us any good and I’m not going to let Mars get their hands on anything that might be useful to us.”

“Yeah well what good’s that going to do us?” asks Nem.

“I dunno,” says Morrigan, putting he rucksack back on and slinging her rifle, “At the very least I’ll give it to the army and see if I can collect an intel bounty.”

“Fine,” says Nem, as she looks out at the dark basement, “Can we go now?”

“I thought you liked indoor spaces,” says Morrigan with a grin as you head back towards the door you came from.

“I do,” says Nem, “I just don’t like creepy basements filled with shrines that look like they came out of a bad horror game.”

“You sound like a big baby right now Nem,” says Morrigan with a laugh.

“Shut it,” says Nem as you ascend the steps into the main floor once more, “Let’s just see if there’s anything else they haven’t found.”

After that you go through the school as best you can. Most of what you find is worthless, broken weapons, items destroyed in the fight and lots more blood stains, bullet holes and casings. However you manage to find two weapons, though they are both lower quality than what you’re carrying at the moment.

>Tier 1 Assault Rifle, Tier 1 SMG obtained.

Morrigan also finds some ammo, but seeing as how she expended enough to need more, she keeps it this time. Nem can’t seem to find anything and gripes about it when you leave the school.

“Damnit,” she says as you walk back to where Koko is still selling her wears to a small crowd of what looks like Mars men and some civilians, “So much good stuff around and I can’t find shit.”

“Hey,” says Morrigan, “You find more stuff regularly, Will just got lucky this time.”

“Yeah yeah,” says Nem as you arrive back at your horses, “Anyway, wanna have a drink of that booze we found?”

“Sure,” says Morrigan, “But just a few, we have to ride tomorrow.”

“I know,” says Nem with a sigh.

“Billy,” says Morrigan, “If you wanna keep those put them on your horse, but you could sell them to Koko right now if you wanted, make some money.”

You nod to her.

“Anyway, whatever you do, you’re welcome to drink with me and Nem or do whatever you feel like.”

Two choices.
A.
>Sell guns now. $110
>Keep guns.
B.
>Stay with Morrigan and Nem.
>Go find Sarah and Cath.
>Go find Bell.

You nod to Morrigan. “I’ll sell them,” you say to her, “And go find Sarah and Cath.”

“Alright,” says Morrigan with a return nod, “Be careful then and don’t try to go anywhere that the guards say you can’t alright?”

You nod once more.

“Good, now Nem and I are going to go drink, see you later.”

You turn and head the short distance to where Koko and her group seem to be doing a small but steady amount of business. Koko herelf comes over to see you as you approach.

“Oh, Will,” she says with a smile, Come to buy anything from me today?”

You shake your hed no and put the two guns you found on the table before her.

“Tch,” she says, bending down to look at them, “Selling huh? These look to be in decent shape, nothing my people would ever use of course, but good for those who decide that they need a weapon. Done.”

She takes the guns off of the table and hands them to one of her assistants and then counts you out some money.

>$110 received. Total $135.

“Come back again!” she says to you cheerfully, to which you nod and tuck the money in your pocket, going over to where you think Sarah and Cath are. It’s not hard to find the general area where the civilians are being kept, which is in a large park like area to the east, but it takes you a while to find Cath and Sarah themselves.

Eventually you do find them, Sarah talking to somebody you don’t know as Cath stands nearby.

“…so if you keep everyone together in family or familiar groups, that should make sure you all get the food you need,” says Sarah to the woman, who nods and then turns away towards a small waiting crowd.

“Will!” says Sarah as you approach, seemingly surprised to see you, “I thought you were with Nem and Morrigan.”

“I was,” you reply, “We’re done now.”

“Well, I think we’re mostly done here too,” says Sarah, glancing at Cath who nods back, “So I’m not sure what you can help with.”

“Food?” you ask suddenly as you feel your stomach grumble.

That gets a return grumble from Sarah, who seems to be surprised by that as well.

“Oops,” she says, looking down and then back at you anxiously, “I guess we haven’t eaten either.”

Cath shakes her head no as well, her body language shifting as food is mentioned.

“Come on then,” says Sarah with a small smile, “Let’s go get some food, we’ll figure out what we’re doing afterwards.

You nod, fallin along after Sarah as she leads you and Cath towards the smell of food.

Alright guys, calling it here.

Sorry for the weak ending but I almost nodded off on that last post.

Hope you enjoyed the thread, hopefully I can get some sort of regular schedule again but no promises, starting to work again.

We'll continue our time with Sarah and Cath next thread.

I'll do normal Q and A for as long as I stay awake.
