"Umm, do you do this all the time?" I ask, pointing to the game systems that are on the food court table in the middle of transferring data.
"No, this is just to move my saves and download stuff over," Gabrielle replies.
"I mean buying stuff that you already have," I say. "It just seems kind of, I dunno..."

Gabrielle rolls her eyes.

"You sound like Kevin," she says.

"I got this one," she points to the one that she pulled out of Shary's head, "because it was new and I wanted a new one. But this one," she points at the new one, "is the design that I wanted from the start but it wasn't gonna be out here until a few months after the initial release. And I still wanted to actually PLAY the thing in the meantime so I made do with this one until the one I wanted came out."

"So what do you do with the old ones after you buy a replacement?" I ask. "Sell them?"

After a few more minutes of messing with her game consoles, Gabrielle smiles triumphantly and moves the game cards from the old one to her new one.

"I take it that the data transfer worked?" I ask.
"Yup," Gabrielle nods while flashing a SUPER CUTE smile.

And then she slides her old one across the table to me.

"...huh?" I stare at it.
"You can have it," Gabrielle says. "Since it's not like I need two."

And with that, me and Gabrielle follow Kevin out of the mall and to the parking lot, walking REALLY far out past most of the other cars before we actually make it to his car. And though I don't really know anything about cars, I have to admit that his is pretty nice.

Allison must LOVE riding around town with him in this.

Kevin lifts up the passenger-side door for us and I get in first, setting my bags down in the small gap between my legs and the seat. Once I'm situated, Gabrielle comes in after me and plops right down onto my lap.

I'd forgotten just how heavy Shary is.
