Of course you can't catch a break.

Visiting your newest and unlikeliest ally, the Deathlord Tyrant of the Doomsday Machine, you learned that the Skullstone fleet heading for the island of Tianna to capture her and drag her in chains back to the Neverborn's lair (and, probably, also to seize control of the Titan buried deep under the island) carries none other than the Silver Prince himself, the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water, absolute ruler of Skullstone.

And you have no idea how to kill a Deathlord, or even if it's possible at all.

The news, delivered by the Tyrant in her usual phlegmatic manner, doesn't seem to impress her much. Maybe she was already expecting, suspecting, or fearing that this would happen.

"Is this information sure?" You ask back, desperately looking for a way out of this.

"My men confirmed it independently." Is her calm reply.

Which probably means "they tortured different ghosts in different ways and always got the same answer", all things considered. You really don't want to know right now.

"I... Wasn't expecting this. I thought you said that ghosts stuck in Creation are cut off from their Essence supply in the Underworld."

"There are ways around it." She says, caressing her massive iron throne with a gauntleted hand, producing a light yet strident noise of metal on metal in the process. "The Underworld has its own Manses, and the Essence carried by its Hearthstones can reach even in Creation."

For the first time, you notice that two large sockets radiating red, baleful light, set into her massive thrones, actually contain glowing two crimson gems, identical, reminding you of clots of crystallized blood, or giant rubies cut by a professional serial killer taking jewelry as a part-time hobby.

"Do those work?" You ask.

"For now." She nods. "I suspect my own holdings in the Underworld will be attacked soon as well, now that the Neverborn know of my rebellion."

She lets that sink in for a bit.

"And then, there's blood." She adds.

"Blood?"

"Blood is life. And life is Essence. Therefore, blood is Essence. By drinking blood, I can replenish my spent Essence. I'm sure it's the same for the Prince, too."

"And I guess animal blood is no good." You reply, sarcastic.

The sarcasm is lost upon the soulless murderghost, unfortunately. She simply nods in response. "Human blood is the only one potent enough to matter."

"...Still, why is he coming? You're here in Creation because you're a refugee, but him? He's walking into an extremely disadvantageous terrain for him. Why not just send his forces and stay at home?"

She seems to stare in the distance, her eyes unfocused. "Because he believes."

You wait for her explanation. For someone appearing so ancient and emotionless, she sure likes to be overly dramatic.
...No, actually, you can't blame her for that.

"We Deathlords are very different from each other. Some of us seek to inflict pain upon Creation to fill the emptiness inside our hearts, others are fixated on their own petty grudges, dating back from when we were still living. No matter how long dead and gone the originally intended victims are. Some of us are aimless, or spend their time squabbling with other Deathlords and denizens of the Underworld, and a few others either twist the words of the Neverborn to suit our own ends, or reject it and fight for conquest, rather than destruction."

She takes another long pause, and her glowing red stare pierces into your eyes. "But the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water is one of the few who believes."

"Believes? In the Neverborn?"

"In the Neverborn's words. In the Dark Gospel. In the Order of Annihilation. In the Truth of Oblivion."

"The complete destruction of Creation." It sounds so insane that you have trouble parsing it.

"The murder of all that lives, the breaking of all that is." She repeats. She sounds like she's actually quoting some "holy" book.

If it's from an actual book written by someone, then you definitely don't want to read it.

"He believes, and I am, in his eyes, a traitor and a blasphemer of the black faith. He is coming here in person because this is a holy war to him."

And if someone like that took the trouble of peacefully taking over a nation in Creation, giving it laws, order, and a new culture, and setting himself up as a legitimate and wise ruler in the eyes of so many...

"The Prince is really playing the long game, is he?"

"Yes." She nods. "But that gives you an advantage."

"Oh?"

"The pace things happened is one he is... unused to. Our actions have forced his hand. And he needs to act now, or Tianna might grow too powerful. Or unearth or make public the Titan. Or, his greatest fear... dispel his lies."

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. Queen of Gem, now ruling the western island of Tianna. You have gathered a lot of allies and friends, and have a powerful Manse under construction.
But Tianna is actually an artificial island, built around a First Age Titan: an almighty flying fortress built in an ancient, forgotten age, and although this is kept secret, two Deathlords are seeking to obtain it.
The Tyrant of the Doomsday Machine, ghost of your past incarnation, seeked it as a weapon to cut her ties to the Neverborn. But you have persuaded her to try and seek redemption in the eyes of the Sun in other ways, and count her as an unlikely ally.
But now the Silver Prince is coming, to punish her and claim the Titan for himself in the name of Oblivion. And this looks like a battle you won't be able to talk your way out of...

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability. Yes, this means that the more people are posting, the stronger Maka is, up to a limit of her attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

If she doesn't want to tell us then can she at least just say if she can kill him?

I assume his lies are the propaganda of his nation, that his end goal is what he says it is and that it'll be okay for everyone in the end.

She needs to start contentiously asking herself the question "What is the relative value of personally inconveniencing myself versus helping/refraining from harming others"
Then basically "fake it until she makes it," possibly with magical help to reverse what the deathlords did to her.

"What lies are you talking about?"

You already heard Karas mention something to that effect, but... You can't imagine someone who'd know more about this than her. Except maybe the culprit itself."

"Skullstone, of course." She replies.

"Skullstone is a lie?"

"The people of Skullstone believe that the Silver Prince is a chosen ruler, foretold by legend, who will lead them to a new way of life. And, to outward appearance, he has delivered on that. The people of Skullstone live a better, more comfortable life than most in Creation. Mindless undead take care of menial tasks, and leave them ample free time to enjoy their lives. And, of course, Skullstone offers them the finest in luxury and entertainment, as well as the promise that, after their mortal lives, they will be able to live on as ghosts for much longer before reincarnation. Provided they are loyal to the state, of course."

"I'm not an expert in soul metaphysics, but I remember my parents telling me, when I was a little kid, that ghosts come from people who die with remorse or regret, and that people who live cheerful, happy and fulfilling lives return to the cycle of life once more." You point out.

"A simplified, but not altogether incorrect explanation." She admits with a light nod. "Of course, Skullstone is woven with curses that ensure that all who die within its borders are trapped out of the cycle of reincarnation, their ghosts unable to move on. But really, basic mathematics should reveal to you the truth."

You think about it. "How long has Skullstone's state of affairs been going on?"

"I do not know for sure. I do not know whether this effect is something he caused, or a natural phenomenon he merely took advantage of. But he appeared in Skullstone as a preacher in RY 87, foretelling his new order, and then reappeared as the Silver Prince in RY 243, and has been ruling as such ever since."

"That's... more than five hundred years' worth of ghosts."

(cont.)
>>
"The Silver Prince claims that only few of the dead remain as ghosts for long, while most others return to the Great Cycle. That is a lie. Everyone who dies remains as a ghost. That, of course, means that the dead should outnumber the quick by an astonishing number."

"He forges them." You didn't want to believe it.

"He does. The magical metal his navy is made from comes from the souls of his very citizens."

"Why doesn't anyone freak out about this? How can they not know?"

"The Bodhisattva is a skilled liar and manipulator. Concealing the truth is his specialty. And so, the folk of Skullstone adore their own murderer like a savior."

Man, you feel like punching something right now.

Hang on.

87-243. That's 156 years.

Or do RY's stand for something else?
>>
>>40110517
my assumption is that it's now 743 RY
>>
>>40110517
It's not the year 243 currently, RY is the start of the Second Age, when the Scarlet Empress established the Realm, that was almost 800 years before the Solars were released from the Jade Prison and the current date. It's like 768 if EF goes by Core.
>>
>>40110517
Current year is RY 768. That makes 525 years of the Silver Prince ruling Skullstone. RY stands for Realm Year. Counted from the foundation of the Realm.

You slap your fist in your palm. "How do we kill that bastard?"

"We do not." She replies, patiently. "He is already dead, and kept alive by a force beyond you or me. The will of the Neverborn sustains him, and should he perish in battle and be utterly destroyed, he would simply reappear, one year and one day later, in the depths of the Labyrinth, in front of the Neverborn's tombs."

You take a deep breach, trying to control yourself. "Is there no way to defeat a Deathlord?"

"Defeat, yes. We are ancient and powerful ghosts, but there is nothing that prevents us from suffering setbacks, or seeing our plans ruined. But destruction? I do not know if it is possible, or how."

"...Wait." You just realized. "If a Deathlord dies, it reforms... in front of the Neverborn?"

She nods, slowly. "I would like to avoid that fate. The Neverborn must be rather upset with me."

That sounded like the understatement of the Age.

"How do we defeat him, then? What is he going to hit us with, and how do we hit him back?" Let's get practical.

"Expect overwhelming firepower and mobility." She replies. "Expect misdirection and trickery on a grand scale. Expect secret weapons we both know nothing about. Expect fanatically loyal troops, expertly drilled, superbly equipped, and ready to die for him. Expect astonishing cruelty and disregard for life. Expect infiltration, espionage and betrayal."

"In short, the unexpected?"

"Precisely." Tyrant slowly, ponderously stands up from her throne. "I can try and guess what his strategy will be, but the Bodhisattva will not feel obliged to prove me right."

"Anything can help." You sigh.

Argh this situation is looking more and more fucked by the second.

Like, okay, hope and justice prevails and all that, but it seems like we are so outclassed at this point it isn't even funny. Even if we win, there might not even be an island left to call home, given that it is going to be an Exalt vs Exalt brawl to the death out there. Stranger things have happened than such an event sinking an island.

Right, with the pessimism out of the way, I'm wondering how many of his troops can be converted by Maka's social-fu. I don't think the Silver Prince is as good as Maka at persuasion, so we have that. There's also Pearl's manse, which I'm hoping will mean some big-ass Solar Mojo on our side, but I don't know what that even means. Like, what is it actually going to do?
>>
>>40110739
We need to persuade their Dawn. He is the key and most likely to listen to Maka. Converting him should bring a lot of troops to our side.

Also, every social charm activated at once, let Karas and Tia do the fighting.
>>
>>40110739
We got to at least aim for his big guys, Moray, his Abyssals if we can, any God-blooded, Sorcerers, and however many not crazy mortals we can.
>>
>>40110644
>But destruction? I do not know if it is possible, or how.
I think we need a second opinion from a certain Mentor of ours.
>>
>>40110771
Pretty much, yeah. Have Tia and Karas flank Maka and act as bodyguards while she preaches love and justice, and hope to all shit we don't fuck the roll up.
>>
>>40110739
There's also the advantage of our Manse preventing their Abyssals and ghosts from regenerating Essence. Not sure what the radius would be, though.
>>
"He will have a limited amount of undead troops with him, because he knows that your powers will work especially well against them. He will probably try to keep them away from you personally, or use them as a bait to lure you around." She explains, pacing around slowly and heavily, her footsteps resounding throughout the room with the hollow echo of metal on metal.

"I see. He'll use mostly human soldiers?"

"Mostly. Expect the very best, in terms of training, equipment and motivation. They will be on par with the best Tiger Warriors you can train if not above."

The idea of an army of Regis does frighten you. Though Regis DOES also have Awakened Essence and Ashigaru Armor on top of that, on the other hand, he's just one kid, and with no experience in actual warfare, so the comparison doesn't hold water.

"Of course, they will be led by his own Exalted, and supported by ghosts capable of infiltrating, phasing through walls, possessing bodies, and generally wrecking any fighting corps' morale. As well as necromantic siege engines. If I were him I'd bring at least one Spine Chain."

"Spine Chain?"

"Take several human skeletons and fuse them one atop another." She succinctly explains. "It's an undead war machine which is also a siege ladder with clawed hands and teeth, essentially."

"A floor wax AND a dessert topping." You groan.

"I'm sorry?"

"Nevermind. What about the ships?"

"The ships will unload their forces as fast as possible once they hit the beach. Before and after, their own Essence artillery will be used in full force, I imagine."

"Of course. How about sorcery, or necromancy?"

"His Exalted might employ some. I think only in the direst of situation the Prince himself will dare to do that. It could completely change the fate of the battle, but, unlike the human Exalted, he only has a very limited ability to replenish his Essence. On top of that, the Aspect of your Manse is actively hostile to them."

>"Mostly. Expect the very best, in terms of training, equipment and motivation. They will be on par with the best Tiger Warriors you can train if not above."

Shit.
>>
"Same with him fighting in person, I imagine."

"Perhaps. He could easily wade through mortal troops without having to expend Essence, but if challenged by fighters sufficiently powerful, he could end up burning through his resources faster than his Hearthstones can let him recover." She does a thoughtful pause. "My worry is that you will be too soft."

"What do you mean?" You ask with a frown.

"You dislike inflicting pain and destruction upon others. That's a critical weakness. I fear you will hesitate in combat. Not sacrifice your mortal troops if needed. Attempt to minimize casualties, even among the enemy forces." She sits back down on the throne, fixating her eyes on you once more. Her eyes are filled with suspicion. Whether or not we declared we wanted to use them in time is up to EF. We'll see which or both we managed to activate. Hopefully both.

But it really is true that ECSJ is 100% the absolute best charm, period, ever, to use while talking to or attacking a CoD. MRP is the icing on the cake, not the other way around.

(When you want to activate a charm that has both an instant and a scenelong form, unless you specifically ask for the scenelong version, I'll assume you want the instant.)

[MAJESTIC RADIANT PRESENCE]
[ENEMY-CASTIGATING SOLAR JUDGEMENT]
[BURN ESSENCE 5/8] [COMMIT ESSENCE 7/8]

[Soc + Zen = 2 10 9 6 8 9 9 2 8 8 8 7 7 = 11 -> 22 successes]

You smile confidently. "You're wrong. Kindness isn't weakness. It's true strength."

"Why is that?" She challenges you.

In response, you simply point at her. "Because we're here, in the same room, after all."

At first she frowns, confused, but, as the meaning of your words begins to make its way through her mind, you see her expression change. She frowns, displeased. Then she opens her mouth, about to say something in protest. Then she stops, gives you a second glance, like she's suddenly surprised of actually seeing you in the same room as her. Her eyes widen in realization, and her mouth closes without forming a response.

"Ruthlessness might vanquish enemies, but kindness makes friends." You add, with one last smirk, as your Castemark glints, filling the dark iron cave with the lightest of lights.

She lets out a long sigh, relaxing and slouching in her throne, defeated.

"...You're right, of course." She admits. "Your ways have let you gather, in such little time, such an impressive following of Exalted and powerful gods and heroes, after all. That's your true edge against the Bodhisattva, thinking about it. As far as Exalted go, you utterly outnumber him."

"And we're fighting to protect our loved ones." You add. "Love is a power stronger than any army or sorcery."

She looks up to you, a strange light in her eyes. "Maka."

"Yes?"

"I don't want you to die."

>Does anyone actually have a plan for redeeming her?

The reason why people do moral things is because they feel good when doing so, and bad when they don't, due to empathy, sympathy and being conditioned during education.

ToD doesn't have sympathy, mostly, so the feelings of others basically means nothing to her.

We need to show her that it's not a bad thing to feel good because others feel good and feel bad because others feel bad.

Ghost-Eating Technique. It's a mandatory charm for perma-killing ghosts, elementals, gods, powerful demons, and so forth. They're immortal, even if you defeat them in battle, otherwise. We should have had it 50 threads ago; without it, we literally cannot meaningfully threaten spirits.

The next charm, on the way to GET, is Spirit-Cutting Attack, which lets us physically attack dematerialized spirits, instead of them being immune to physical violence.

It goes Spirit-Discerning Glance to Spirit-Cutting Attack to Ghost-Eating Technique. We want all three of them. SDG and SCA are both useful, but our primary intention is taking them as prerequisites.

You let that soak in a bit.

"...Tyrant?"

"Yes?" She asks, but her voice sounds heavier now, like it comes from within a deep well.

"We have... We've stripped the ships we captured of their Soulsteel. Can you do anything about it?"

She stares at you for a few seconds, without understanding your point. "I can call the Doctor in Red and Steel. He'd be happy to use it, I imagine."

"I, uh. I meant if there's any way to free the souls trapped within?" You ask back.

"No. Not to the best of my knowledge." And here she dashes your hopes. "It might be destroyed but that would not free the souls therein, merely condemn them to eternal Oblivion."

Well, there goes that idea. "...Can it still be put to good use?"

She nods towards the chamber's door. "Ask him. You will find him in his rooms, I imagine. One of my servants will accompany you."

Right, her servants. At first you hadn't noticed them, but you you can see them. You recognize them, even. They're the ghostly maids attending to her, and you met a few of them the first time you visited. You can see one of them bow to the Tyrant, and step towards you, transitioning to material with a sudden flash of color. But, you could see her even before she manifested.

Bit by bit, maybe, after all that exposure to demons and ghosts, your body is learning to read Essence to see immaterial and unmanifested beings, you reason.

The dainty ghost bows to you and motions you to follow her, and you do so, along a trail snaking through the bowels of the mechanical ship, until you reach a heavy metal door at the end or a corridor. A sign with "DO NOT DISTURB" hangs in front of it.

(Maybe she just likes when Maka does it.)

Without a moment of hesitation, you slam the door open.

The room beyond is completely filled. Libraries full of books, tables full of alchemical vials and magitech components, walls full of slots and circuits and strange machinery. Somewhere you even see a bed, a messy and unkempt thing.

A man dressed in red, who was walking around the room in distress, rolls behind a table as soon as you open the door, out of line of sight. "I SAID WAIT!" He protests.

"I waited." You reply, walking in.

You can hear him messing around with something as you walk up to the table to see what's up. "ONE SECOND AND A HALF DOESN'T COUNT AS WAITING."

He tries to keep out of sight of you, but finally you overtake him, just as he finishes applying a black steel mask gilded with gold on his face.

"Aw."

"Who the hell are- You're Maka, aren't you?" He scows at you, fists balled up,

"My fame precedes me. Doctor in Red and Steel, I presume."

"What do you want." He replies, still surly.

"This is no way to treat a guest." You reply with a smirk.

"You're not a guest, you're an intruder." He replies, hostile. "This is my room, my laboratory, the one place I can relax and unwind, and you're infringing on my privacy and in my personal space. Get out."

You let your smirk grow into a full-grin. "Can I see you without the mask?"

"GET OUT. NOW!" He replies, pointing at the door with one hand as he forcibly turns you around with the other and begins to shove you out.

"Alright, wait, wait, sorry, sorry." You lift your hands to calm him down. "I was hear to talk about the Soulsteel. I just thought I'd tease you a bit."

"Soulsteel?" He stops. "Oh, from the Bodhisattva's ships. You have someone stripping them down?"

"Yes, but she can't work it. Well, and doesn't want to either."

"Better that way." He replies, dragging a chair and sitting down on it. Now that you look at him better, his face doesn't seem to be damaged or anything, and the mask only covers around his eyes, which seem normal. Either it's just a fashion statement, or, if it's covering some mark or deformity, it's entirely hidden by it and therefore very localized. "People who try to mess with Soulsteel without knowing how to work it tend to lose fingers."

"...There really is no way to release the souls, is there?"

"...Oh, you're one of those people." He replies, apparently amused by your question. "No, no there isn't. They're Soulsteel forever."

"Can you put it to good use?" You ask him.

"I certainly can." You see his eyes gleam.

"Let me be clear." You point out. "I'm doing this only because this way you won't have to kill more people to forge them into Soulsteel."

"Yeah, I know of your weird ideas about my mistress." He nods condescendingly. "Don't worry, whatever you're planning to do with her, I'm not gonna get in your way. Not unless she orders me to, at least. And, technically, when you forge them they're already dead."

(cont.)
>>
"You know what I meant." You reply.

"Right, right." He nods. "You might appreciate that we haven't killed or soulforged anyone since Mistress met you for the first time."

"That's not been a very long time."

"You gotta start somewhere I guess." He replies. "And hey, if I can get Soulsteel without all the hassle of the harvest and the mess of the cleanup, that's even better in my book."

"Alright." You nod. "Now, let's see what you look like without that mask."

[Soc + Zen = 7 5 5 3 3 9 1 5 6 6 5 1 1 = 2 successes]

He pulls his head away from you. "Not a chance."

"Not even for-" You begin, trying to look alluring, but he just cuts you short: "No, not even for sex." He replies, getting straight to the point. "I'd appreciate if you stopped asking as well. It's something personal and I don't want to talk about it with anyone. I'm sure you have something like that too."

Memories of the slug incident cross your mind. You nod.

"Besides, the mask doesn't NEED to come off."

You give a long look at him. He winks.

This guy sounds like he would like working with our sharkboy
>>
"Alright." You nod and smile, letting your clothes disappear. "I'm quite open to new experiences, I believe."

He almost falls off he chair, taken by surprise. "Whoa. Yo-you don't waste time, do you.

You lean in closer. "Why should I? We're both in a rush, right? In times like this..." And closer. "We should keep our entertainment short..." And closer. "And intense."

[Phi + Zen = 3 6 7 3 7 7 9 2 9]

And you do enjoy it. Doctor in Red and Steel's body is warm and not at all how you suspected an Abyssal would feel, and a far cry from Tyrant's cold embrace. He seems free of fears or suspicion towards you, and is entirely unguarded, save for the mask. That stays on, at all times, firmly secured to the back of his head by strong leather strings.

You cannot understand why he would wear it, since the rest of his body seems perfectly healthy and pleasant to the look and touch. This does nothing but increase your curiosity, but you can't find any opening to satisfy it.

Still, you end up spending some very pleasant time with each other. As a lover, Doctor is passionate, but rather selfish. Once you get used to it, however, you enjoy toying with him a little bit, as petty vengeance.

In the end, your desire to see his unmasked face goes unsatisfied, but you walk out of the experience satisfied in many other ways, especially considering the short time budget you're on.

After your quality time with Doctor, and a last visit to Tyrant, you head back to Pearl. It's close enough for you to reach comfortably by foot anyway: You don't want to trouble Speaker for the Dead again for an Ornithopter ride. For various reasons.

Once back, you spread the bad news around. Examples of their varied responses are: "I was afraid it'd come to this. But it might be a good chance to catch him in Creation, at a disadvantage, and send him back to the Neverborn. If we're that lucky, then, in that year and one day, we can focus on taking Skullstone apart brick by brick." from Amata, "Good. I really wanted to sock him in the jaw, and that saves the trip" from Tia, and "Oh gods let me out of here she's doing that thing with the tentacles and the body doubles" from Karas.

As the sun begins to set, what do you want to do?

>>40115233
Yes, depending on how much Gossamer she has. She'll also probably become much less passive and show a lot more initiative and aggressive traits. Which could be a good or a bad thing.
>>
Jeez did you guys really want to see under the mask that badly? Hopefullly this doesn't become a creepy thing where Maka becomes obsessed with his face for no reason.

>>40115253

>>
>>40115158
I still want to do a few things, give Silk her Sword, wake up Smoke, and really I want to pray to UCS before the Silver Prince shows up, especially since we haven't since we got Mentor 5.
>>
>>40115307
Indeed. Right Now Silk is leveling like crazy for a Fae due to the mighty persons in her story, she wont as a rule bother investing it in the Sword but still even so with massive boosts in all others. She is around a circle of Solars, a small pack of Lunars, a small rogue dynasty of Dragon Blooded, the Daughter of Ligier, and a few conversations or a trip away from a somewhat survivable Deathlord on a quest to redemption with all her Abyssals and servants and all these people will be in battle with another Deathlord in the culminating battle that would be a massive epic.

Remember that the Fae get more powerful the greater their story is, the greater people are woven into it, and we are probably one of the two greatest calsh o characters that could be done in the West now if not all o Creation (we can not know about thing in the Deep Wyld or Autochtonia)

So yeah she will start to become massively powerfull, not enough to start her own court but become a Impressive up and coming Fae Lord or Lady.
>>
>>40115338
He should also be enjoying that.
>>
After getting routine business out of the way, you check the time and the situation, and meet up with Samiel as he paces through the fortress accompanied by several mortal officers, among them Erman Steelshard, inspecting the defenses and the layout.

After a short chat with him, you get to the point.

"So... did your mom tell you about the thing with Smoke?"

He looks at you blankly. "...She said what you'd tell me something about her. What's going on? She was being mysterious even for her standards."

Oh wow. Of course he doesn't know anything yet.

"We... might have to help Dancing Smoke with a thing right before the battle. It's complicated, and it might raise a lot of questions we don't have the energy or the time to answer right now."

He's CLEARLY not following you. "What the heck are you talking about, Maka?"

You take a deep breath. Okay, here goes.

"...We can restore Dancing Smoke's memories and powers back to what they were during the First Age."

Silence ensues, filled just with him silently looking at you, taking in your words.

"I'm listening." He urges you to continue.

"All we have to do is flip a lever. It's inside the volcano, but I can do it."

"I can do it too. I'll do it." He says, instinctively.

"No. You'll have to be on top of the volcano. We talked about this. She might have a fit. She might change personality. She might not be herself anymore. And... I think you can keep her under control better than I could ever do."

He closes his eyes, then reopens it. "...Alright. Makes sense." Then: "No, wait, wait, it doesn't. A LEVER?"

You HOPED he'd skip over that. "Like I said, it's complicated. Look, you trust me and Amata."

"With my life and more." He replies, without any hesitation.

"Then trust us. We need to do this. And we need to do this now."

He slowly shakes his head. "...I guess I'll have to wear that silly getup she had prepared for me for this, right?"

You smile and nod. "It would increase our chances."

"Goddammit."

With who/what and where? I don't think this will be a good moment for a quick orgy.
>>
>>40117019
Just walk out into the street naked and let the plebs take care of it.
>>
>>40117109
Ah, that. Probably after all this war business is dealt with and finished.

I really hope we can get Sun King Radiance next thread, so we can give our social defense to all our friends that have a lesser one, considering the Manipulator specced Deathlord coming our way, it would be the greatest widespread contribution we could bring to the whole fight, ensuring that all the low Soc exalted, enlightened mortals and supernatural allies do not get social-fu whammied out of the fight in two or three sentences.

Spending a few days out among the common folk getting banged constantly by anything with a dick will be good for the people. Will give them a mortal boost seeing how devoted we are to helping them.

NEVER!

Maka may be slutty as hell when she wants it, but she is not Trashy.

The only time we did it with complete strangers when we incited a full on ritual parade orgy that had a whole congregation participate. But that is professional.

Maka does not do it for the sex imho, but for the greater emotional connection. So for Maka to have sex with someone she has to want to get a greater connection, be it because she wants to give and receive affection or because she is intrigued.

>not wanting to establish a greater connection with Pearl's populace or give them her affection
Pls.
While I agree that >>40117223
exaggerates, I am not too against the idea
>>
>>40117246
... Sorry but I would vote for it, it's my fetish after all.
>>
So, we're going to give Silk her sword back tomorrow right?
>>
>>40117286
Maybe. I trust Silk, but I don't want her to grow aggressive/assertive. Or maybe I want, I don't know.
I have an idea about Silk's future, but I am unsure if it will be accepted.
>>
>>40117338
Meh, she's technically a creature of darkness so ECSJ will work on her, so keeping her in line isn't going to be hard.
What is your plan?
>>
>>40117109
>>40117223
Fuck no. We resolved in-character fucking ages ago that we're still going to screw tons of people, but not as impersonally as getting screwed by an anonymous crowd. Or do you not remember the festival? From now on, it's only significant people whom we personally know - favored mortals, other exalts, that kind of thing.
>>
>>40117389
Something that I need EF to explain to me before I can actually discuss it with him. It's about her nightmare inducing feeding.
>>
>>40117389
>she's technically a creature of darkness
I don't think she is, actually. I thought Shaped Fae weren't CoDs.
>>
>>40117437
I remember that orgy. I loved it
>>
>>40117437
I remember the festival, it was great.
>>
>>40117461
I'm glad to hear it. But Maka didn't. She resolved in-character not to do anything quite like that ever again.
>>
>>40117476
That's her stance on the issue NOW, but whats to keep her from changing her mind about it again?
>>
>>40117493
Just let it go before another argument happens. I am sure we don't nede a repeat of it.
If another orgy like that happens again, great; if it doesn't, tough luck.
>>
>>40117493
Dude, just leave it. Maka's a high-Integrity Solar. Once she's resolved to do things, she doesn't flip flop every few weeks.
