Last time, on Star Dust Quest...

You got your things together at Freeport Station, met the two interesting Federation officers of Captain Tera and Lieutenant Jenny, and then set off on your first combat mission. Lo and behold, you faced off with an unexpected tactic--the bandits used music to scramble your comms! Fortunately you and your crew pulled through and shattered their ships, even managing to salvage a neat comm scrambler for yourself. Finally, to celebrate your victory, you shared a drink with your crew and Tera before things got a little out of hand... at least you had Troy to look after you all.

With a terribly hungover crew, a veritable pile of boxes of condoms, a new cat, and even having nearly escaped the tightened bonds of marriage, you have quite an interesting day ahead of you.

“Ugh... so, how's Comet?” you grumble, your voice muffled with your face down on the table. You're sitting on one of the chairs across from Troy while he continues to eat his cereal.

“Like I said, she's fine,” he replies after swallowing another bite. “We talked all night before I decided that I should probably go find you guys.”

Groggily, you reach an arm out for a bowl without lifting your head up. Troy slowly pushes an empty bowl over to your hand, which you pull over to yourself before gesturing for the cereal box. After pouring yourself a helping, Troy hands you a fork.

“Thanks,” you say, finally raising your head and looking at him. The ship is dark, but you kind of don't want to see light right now.

“There's no milk,” Troy simply states. You inwardly groan but take a bite of your cereal anyways. A bit too sweet, but you can't really taste anything right now. From the other side of the room, a groan reminds you of another presence.

“Nugh... ged off...” Bethany says. As she lays on top of her bed of boxed condoms, the cat you apparently had found sits on her stomach while batting at her face.

“I'm gonna guess we're keeping the cat,” Troy calmly says, his eyes on his bowl of cereal.

"y'know I'm probably just paranoid and have watched too many spy movies but something tells me we should use the composition scanner on that cat that has mysteriously appeared on our ship. Also we have to take a picture of this scene right now." Say this in a jovial joking tone.
>“Nugh... ged off...” Bethany says. As she lays on top of her bed of boxed condoms, the cat you apparently had found sits on her stomach while batting at her face.

"Depends on the cat. If it's evil I'm spacing it,” you answer, taking another spoonful of sugary cereal.

“That doesn't sound very nice,” Troy responds. You can't really tell if he's serious or not, though. A bright flash nearly blinds you and you groan. Looking up, you see Troy with his metal arm facing you. “Sorry, I just wanted to take a picture.”

“Bleh.”

“Who... who brought the cat?” Bethany whines, trying to shift in her spot while displacing a bunch of the condom boxes, causing them to slide down the pile.

“I did, Beth.”

“Damn, my head hurts...” she groans before the cat starts licking her face.

“I'm gonna name it Bethany.”

“Fuck you, no you're not,” Bethany says, slowly sliding off of her pile.

“I just did.”

“I'm calling her Starburst.”

The cat jumps off of her and runs off into some other part of the ship. She eyes the blue boxes with a frown. “Ugh... where the hell did these come from?” she mutters, walking over to the table and sitting down beside Troy.

“You bought 'em,” he says through his crunches. Resigning to her hangover, she rests her head on the table.

“Comrades! You are all awake, I see!” Ivan's voice startles you. As he enters the room, his arms extend to the three of you.

“You seem lively,” you comment, resting your head beside your bowl of cereal, facing him.

“Ahah, you did not drink water?” he says, coming over the table to sit down beside you. “I always drink lots of water before going to sleep. Makes the morning after more bearable.”

“I shoulda thought of that,” you groan. Bethany mumbles something incomprehensible from beneath her arms.

“So, what is the schedule for today, comrade?” Ivan asks you.

>”Let's just rest, I don't think we're in any condition to fight space pirates.”

“Well, we need new contracts. Gotta pay the bills somehow,” you say, taking one last bite of your cereal before standing up with a newfound energy.

“What bills?” Ivan asks, innocently. You give him a blank stare.

“Eh, I just seem to lose money somehow,” you answer, earning a shrug. Troy seems content with eating his cereal, and Bethany looks really out of it. You think you hear some snoring, now. “I think we should just rest today, I don't think we're in any condition to fight space pirates right now.”

“Hah! I guess it is time for some more alcohol, no?” Ivan says, pulling out a bottle of tequila. Troy gives him a quirked eyebrow and you think you see Bethany twitch.

“I don't think alcohol is what I really meant,” you say.

“Nonsense, comrade! You said rest, and this is how I rest,” he says, pulling over your bowl of unfinished cereal. You and Troy gawk as he pops the cap off the tequila bottle and pours some of it intothe bowl.

“Well, suit yourself, Ivan,” you say with a shrug. “I'm gonna go check up on the rest of our crew and then run some errands. We need some equipment to run that scrambler dish and possibly someone who knows how to use it.”

“Sounds like a good idea, Gavin,” Troy says passively.

You walk over to the head of the table and lean against it, looking at the three crew in front of you.

“So, any more details you guys want to share from last night?” you ask. Bethany seems content to sleep, and as energetic as Ivan seems, he looks as clueless as you. Instinctively, you look over to Troy. “You know... I kinda want to know how I almost got married and whatnot.”

“I gave you a rundown, but yeah, that's basically what happened,” he says, finally finishing his cereal. “So, apparently there's a certified flash-marriage group on the station. When Viktor found that out after talking with another drunk merc. One thing led to another, you guys found the 'mini-church' (I just followed, I thought this was hilarious) and then you and Ley'ra kinda got a little close. Ivan pointed out that you two get married,” he says with a chuckle. To your dismay, Ivan lets out a little chuckle himself.

“I remember bits and pieces,” Ivan says. You roll your eyes.

“I hate you guys.”

“I think I was best man.”

“But,” Troy edges in, “when Viktor passed out, everyone kinda just fell into a fit of giggles. Didn't look like it was gonna happen anymore, so I herded you all back to the ship.”

“Were you carrying Viktor?” Ivan asks.

“I had to.”

“Hah!”

“Wow, I don't really know what to think of this,” you say while shaking your head. “I don't think I've ever been that drunk before, even in college. Where was Beth this whole time?”

Bethany groans.

“I have no idea, actually,” Troy remarks. “But, when we got back to the ship, Bethany was in her pile of condom boxes.”

“Bleh... I'm gonna go check on the rest of our crew,” you say, turning around and leaving the mess hall. First, you decide to check all of the crew quarters to find most of the rooms empty with no Ley'ra or Comet to be found. At Viktor was in his bed snoring happily, hugging one of the empty artillery shells he no doubt fired yesterday.
>>
>>40133056
Did she get to add some of her own tracks to the jammer?

I feel like that's a fair way to divide loot for that stint. Everybody gets to pick out 10 songs for it to play.
>>
>>40133507
You feel like you're sort of invading privacy by barging into his room, but you walk up to the bed anyways and kick the frame.

“Uh-wha-whoa!” he exclaims, shaking from his sleep. Yes, he sleeps with his mask on. “Ah... Gavin. So... so nice to see you...”

“Nice to see you too, Viktor,” you say. “How're you feeling?”

“I'm... eck, okay. I have been worse.”

You chuckle. “Alright. Feel free to rest, we're gonna take it slow today.”

“Ah, just what I needed,” he says, resting his head against his pillow. “I assure you, I will be just fine later today.”

“I believe you.”

After leaving his room, you give another quick check to the other rooms to make sure you haven't missed anyone. Sighing, you begin to wander your ship. Sure you feel like hell, but you have the weird need to be productive. Maybe it's the whole being-a-space-captain thing.

As you leave the mess hall to wander the confines of your ship, you hear a small ping from your smart-ring. Looking down at it, you see a new message from Jenny.

“Hey Gavin,
Tera's given you access to the Federation market on the Station. Feel free to browse it, we've got some neat stock!
Jen”

Well, that's cool, you guess. As you approach your ship's lounge, you begin to hear noises. When you enter, you see Comet sitting on the loveseat, watching cartoons on a hologram screen projecting from the coffee table. She's bundled up in blankets, munching on what you think is a granola bar. You didn't know that the coffee could be a T.V., too.

Calmly, you walk over to Comet--you're still unsure of how to handle her. However, upon seeing you approach, she smiles.

“Hello, Gavin,” she says, her voice light. “How are you feeling?”
>>
>>40133452
>>40133485
yeah I always assumed it was either a year or some other abstract "term of contract" like 10 months or something, IE: when we go to renew beth will probably want to be paid
but throwing a bonus when we have extra down the road isnt the worst idea for her personal morale
just needed to save a bit up front, the rest is time and contracts
>>
>>40133527
“I'm... well, could be better. Mind if I sit?” you ask. After a quick nod, you take a seat beside her. You look to the screen in front of you. “Hey, I've seen this episode.”

“I like it, so far. I kinda don't like the guy with the moustache...”

“He'll get what's coming to him.”

“So, how do you like it so far?” you ask, looking at her.

“What do you mean?” she asks back, innocently.

“The ship. The crew, me. I just want to know what you think of us.”

“Oh, I see,” she says, her eyes still forward. “Troy's really nice. He showed me around the ship--it's a really nice ship.”

“Thank you, it's my uncle's that I inherited,” you say with a smile. “Troy's a good guy. I'm happy that he's content with keeping you as comfortable as possible, here. I personally don't condone sour relationships on my ship.”

“You've been really kind too, Gavin,” she comments, turning to you.

“Heh, don't mention it, Comet. You're welcome on my ship.”

“Thank you. The rest of you seem really... lively.”

You pause. “Ah... yes. Sorry about last night, if that weirded you out. We just wanted to celebrate.”

“Oh, I understand. I thought it was funny. Ivan's really fun to talk to when drunk.”

“You talked to him while he was drunk?”

“Yeah. He has lots of stories to share, like when he and his friend played 'capture-the-flag' with the flags in a cruise ship's indoor golf course.” She takes another bite from her granola bar.

That makes you blink. “...That sounds fun, actually. Have you ever been drunk?”

“Oh, um... no,” she timidly says. “I've never had the chance, but... maybe I could try it, once?”

“Eh... well, you kind of have to develop a taste for the alcohol, first.” You let out a long breath; feeling your back sink into the cushiony sofa is threatening to make you fall asleep. “Then again there's many ways you can get drunk.”

You watch the cartoon for a few minutes with Comet, commenting on how the evil wizard has a silly moustache while reassuring her that magic isn't real. Well, you think so...

“So, what kind of skills do you possess?” you ask, hoping that it doesn't catch her off guard. Thankfully, she continues to eat her granola bar, unphased.

“Well, the reason I've been... taken by the Federation is because I have a weird sense for energy. I can... feel it. I can feel it writhe and flow. Your ship is beautiful to me, because it feels alive.”

You want to give her a weird look, but you feel compelled to listen.

“They... this suit. It helps me... connect with it. I can manipulate it. They've brought me to complicated machines before, like nuclear reactors. And I can sort of... direct the flow.”

You hold a hand to your chin. “So... you can improve its capabilities?”

“Actually, they found that I'm particularly good with energy ship weapon systems. I can make them have better output.”

“Huh,” you say, somewhat confusedly.

“...Sorry.”

“No, no, I just wasn't expecting that.”

“Oh?”

“So, you can improve energy weapon performance, is what you're saying?”

“I can,” she says, finishing her granola bar. “They... also found that I was really proficient with mana energy. That's when the experiments became more... harsh. But we didn't get very far...”

You nod your head, understandingly.

“Do you feel comfortable doing anything on the ship?” you ask, deciding it couldn't hurt to see.

“Well... I could work on the gun deck with Viktor. But, like I said, I'm really only good with energy weapons,” she answers, tightening the blankets around herself.

“Huh... I'll see if there's anything that can be done.”

“I can also try to cook... but I might need someone to teach me.”

“Hey, I'm okay with small things like that. I'll see if there's anything that can be done for that, too.”

“Okay.”

“Welp, I'm gonna go... find our last crew member,” you say while standing up, electing to not include the blip on what happened with you and said crew member.

“Okay. Thank you for talking to me, Gavin,” she says, turning back to the cartoon.

“Like I said, make yourself at home. If there's anything you need, don't be afraid to come talk to me, okay?”

“I will.”

With that, you leave the lounge to find Ley'ra. It seems like you wander your entire ship to find the girl, but she's nowhere to be found. Not in the crew rooms, not in cargo... when you reenter the mess hall, you see Bethany still passed out with her head on the table. Strangely enough, Ivan somehow had gotten ahold of a ukulele and is playing it now, and Troy seems to be cooking something tasty smelling. Eggs and bacon.

Sighing, you decide to go to your own room. It hits you that it was the only room you hadn't checked yet. Upon approaching your door, you feel your heart rate begin to quicken, but after slowly pulling your door open, you don't see anything out of the ordinary after a quick look. You hope she didn't leave.

With a groan, you collapse onto your bed, grabbing your pillow and throwing it over your back. You think you hear a little knock, but you ignore it, content with lying face down on the cushions. That's when you hear another knock. You raise your head and look to the nightstand... to see Ley'ra's goggles on top of it.
>>
>>40135093
Another light knock prompts you to snap your head towards the door to your room, but that's not where the knock came from. That's when you look to the closed door of your closet.

“Um... is someone there?” you hear a muffled voice say from within.

“...Ley'ra?” you ask, rising from your bed. You walk over.

“Oh... Gavin.”

You stop in front of the door. “Ehm, yup.”

Neither of you say anything for a moment. Maybe she remembers what happened last night? You think you want to open the door, but something's compelling you to not do so.

“Um... where am I?”

“You're in a closet.”

“Oh. Uh, is... is this your room?”

“It is.”

“Um, can you let me out?”

“Uh, sure.” You reach over to grab the handle. “I'm uh, opening the door now.”

“Okay.”

Slowly you slide the door open, revealing a closet full of coats worn by your uncle (they look pretty nice), and Ley'ra. She's wearing nothing but a beige tank top and panties.

She's blushing pretty hard, but it doesn't look like she's trying to hide it from you. You think you might be a little flushed yourself, but you step back and look away with respect.

“Thank you... do you have a bathroom?” she asks, slowly stepping out. “I was stuck in there for hours.”

“Yeah, just over there,” you say, pointing to the other end of your room where another door lies. You hear her walk over to the bathroom and close the door behind her. Unsure of what to do, you just walk over to your bed and sit.

After another minute, she walks out of the bathroom wearing her pants and jacket. Evidently, her clothes were in there.

>>
>>40135111
She turns to you, her rifle slung over her back.

“Um... sorry, Gavin,” she says, looking to the floor.

“No, there's nothing to be sorry about. I just...” You trail off, letting out a sigh as you try to find your words. “Do you remember anything from last night?”

“...Kind of. Bits and pieces,” she mumbles, shuffling in her spot.

“Well, that's... good. I don't really remember anything.”

“Oh?”

“Troy filled me in on what happened, though.”

“Oh...”

Her face begins to flush again, but you feel the need to ask something. “Ehm, Ley'ra?”

“Yeah?”

“Did we... do anything, last night?”

She seems to freeze up at that, but she looks to the side in thought. “I don't... I-I don't think so.”

“Wait... what do you mean?”

“W-well, just, don't worry about it, Cap... Gavin. We didn't do... that.”

You let out a sigh. “Well, if we did do it, I hope we made use of Beth's new collection.”

“W-what?”

“...You'll see,” a small, guilty smirk forming on your face.

It's her turn to let out a sigh. “Oh... I feel like a mess.”

“If anything, I'm sorry, Ley'ra.”

“No... it's my fault for letting myself go like that.”

You stand up from your bed and walk up to her. “Let's just say that we didn't do anything until we can prove that we did.”

She looks up to you with wide eyes, but she gives you a nod. “Okay.”

“And...” You look her straight in the eyes. “I'll take full responsibility.”

She seems speechless for a second, but she contently closes her eyes with a small smile, her cheeks still flushed. “Thank you, Gavin.”

Bethany's approval: +1
Comet's approval: +1
Ley'ra's approval: +1

That's when you're interrupted by the smell of bacon and eggs. Ley'ra seems to perk up at this, and you find your mouth starting to water.

“Let's go get breakfast, yeah?” you say as she gives you a little smile. She turns to leave the room and you fall into step behind her, closing the door behind you. You follow her, but you find yourself subconsciously keeping your distance. Feeling bold, you walk up next to her, causing her to give you a small glance.

The two of you follow your noses, eventually ending up in the mess hall. It seems like Comet's come down to see what was happening, as she's taken a seat beside Troy. You see Viktor has woken up to the smell as well as he sits beside Ivan, who's still playing his ukulele. While attempting to rap.
>>
>>40135916
“...To this bad hazardous lingo, that be dropped from a kid, or that makes actresses looks like--”

He's interrupted from a piece of bacon hitting his mask. “Ivan, please,” Bethany groans, poking at a slice of bacon with her fork and shoveling it into her mouth.

“I have to say, Troy, I am enjoying this breakfast,” Viktor says, his facemask off but goggles still on. Upon seeing you and Ley'ra enter, his expression visibly brightens. “Ah, so, how are our newlyweds?”

You roll your eyes and you think you see Ley'ra cover her face. “Very funny, Viktor. I'm not the one who was cuddling an empty artillery shell.”

“Ahah, you were cuddling empty artillery shell?” Ivan guffaws.

“Yeah, yeah. So, does that mean you were cuddling Ley'ra?” Viktor snarks back at you. Bethany nearly spits out her food while Troy rolls his eyes.

“Hey, she's comfier than a barrel of brass,” you laugh. Jokingly, you wrap an arm around Ley'ra and pull her towards you, causing her to whine. Ivan lets out a hearty laugh and the rest of your crew joins in.

You and Ley'ra join your crew in the surprisingly well-made breakfast made by Troy. Sunny-side up eggs, pancakes, and a healthy amount of bacon seemed to fill everyone up nicely, and everyone seemed to go their own ways afterwards.

Ivan and Viktor decided to go back into the station while the rest went to their own rooms. Troy stayed behind to do the dishes with Comet, and dismissed you when you offered to help.

Soon, you found yourself leaving the ship, walking down the ramp and onto the hangar floor. Time to get stuff done!

if we are going to do salvation we should really invest in weapons and armor, i kinda doubt a couple guys in shirts holding pistols is going to do anyone any good

Let's go with Patch me up, Unfound and Salvation.

Definitely buy an energy weapon for Comet to use, throgh. We'll need it.

If it's just some remnants of the Cerberus Legion we might as well go help. Ley'ra might meet some of her former comrades. If it's a Luos HQ screw it, we don't want to take sides.

Ask Ley'ra about that "Salvation" contract. Maybe we can get a clearer picture on what to expect, and how both the Feds and Cerberus might take it should we try to do this contract.

Also, would we need a surface transport to ferry the buggies, or are we gonna drive it ourselves to the recipients? Or are we just gonna airdrop the vehicles from our ship like a Pelican or Valkyrie?

New Contracts:
“Patch Me Up”
“Rats in the Cellar”

Easy contracts, first. You accept two of them, one of them being on this very station. It doesn't really leave you with much, but you do have to meet someone on deck S. That's just a short elevator ride away.

Although, there is a third contract that seems to involve the Cerberus Legion... maybe you'll talk to Ley'ra about that one before going further with it.

You find yourself sitting on a ledge by some stairs, and as luck would have it, two familiar faces (masks) appear.

“Comrade! I see you are shopping,” Ivan says, coming to a stop in front of you with Viktor beside him.

“Hey guys. Nab anything?” you ask, hopping down to the ground from the ledge.

“Actually, Ivan and I purchased another 2 tons of ship ammunitions, and 1 ton of small arms ammunition,” Viktor states, holding his hands behind his back while rocking back and forth on his spot. “We burned through a ton in our fight yesterday, so I think we should have enough now to carry us through the next while.”

“Hah, very good, guys.”

“It's what you hired us for.”

What now?
>Go check out this Patch Newton fellow on deck S.
>Ask Ivan and Viktor to accompany you.

“So, I just accepted us two new contracts. One will take us to Ragnarok, but the other is right in this station. Sounds like a milk run, but I have to go to deck S to meet this guy. You wanna come with me?” you ask, causing the two masked men to exchange a glance.

“I don't see why not. I'll come,” Viktor says.

“Me, too,” Ivan agrees.

“Right. Let's get it over with quick, I wanna get out of the station,” you say, gesturing for them to follow you while you walk towards the elevators. While you walk, you decide to browse what's on the Freeport Market.

“Hey, Ivan and Viktor,” you say, gathering their attention. The three of you had just entered the elevator and are quickly on your way to deck S. You pan your screen towards them so they get a view. “I wanna buy a dunebuggy for any instances we have to go on a planet's surface, but I'd like your input on a new crew member.”

Ivan nods his head while Viktor tilts his head, examining the profiles of the two digital security officers.

“I think I like this Slash Singer person,” Ivan speaks up. “He looks like he is more prepared.”

“I have to agree,” Viktor says. “For electronic warfare, you always want the best person you can buy. We're lucky that the bandits we fought yesterday only had communication scramblers.”

Purchase confirmed.

“Alright, we've got a new crew member. He should reply soon, and then he'll probably head over to our ship hangar,” you say as the door opens up. The three of you step through and find yourselves presented with long hallways lined with doors--it reminds you of the dorms back at Rosette University, though not as fancy. “Hopefully our crew will be a good enough welcoming party.”

“Hah, I suppose that depends on they meet first,” Ivan says. You think Ivan would be a good welcoming party; technically, he was yours.

It takes you awhile, but you soon find yourself walking down a hall, the numbers on the doors steadily increasing to number 1021.

Upon reaching the door, you stop in front with your two companions behind you. Steeling yourself, you knock.

“Ngh, door's open,” a rhaspy voice responds. You give Viktor a glance before pushing the door in.

Inside, you're met with a rather small dormitory. It seems barely large enough to house a single bunk bed and a counter, which has what looks like a lot of weaponry and gadgets. Sitting on the lower bunk is a man in nothing but pants, leaning over his knees. His shins are bandaged.

“I guess you saw the contract I put up?” he asks, leaning up and looking at you with blue eyes. His head is shaved.

“Erm, yeah. All it said was to come here... I assume you're Patch Newton?”

“I am.” He leans over and picks at his bandages again. You try not to stare.

“So... what do you need us for?” you say, feeling the two men behind your back. They're probably as clueless as you, if not more.

“I had my weapon sent to the weaponsmith. It hasn't gotten back to me yet—mind checking up on that? She hasn't gotten back to me,” he says. It looks like he's in pain, but you really don't want to ask.

“Uh, you mean Slips?”

“Yeah, her.”
>>
>>40139748
“Oh. We know her.”

“Good.” You stand there for a moment, staring before he waves a hand. “Off you go. Just ring me if anything.” The man lays down on his bed and closes his eyes. “Oh and, please close the door.”

“...You're giving away 50,000 credits for this?”

“Yeah.”

You turn around to Ivan and Viktor, who just stare at you back. Shrugging, you leave the room and close the door behind you.

“Rich bounty hunter, most likely,” Viktor whispers to Ivan while you all walk down the hall.

“I hate those,” Ivan responds, earning a dirty look from a woman in armour passing by.

With a few clicks on the hologram interface for Nexus, you hit the command to call Slips. While you wait for her to pick up, you stop, causing your crew mates to wait next to you.

“Hi, this is Slips. What can I do you for?” you hear her voice say when she finally picks up.

“Hey, Slips. It's me, Gavin.”

“Gavin? Oh! You delivered my supplies yesterday, right?”

“Yup.”

“Ah, I still can't thank you enough. Much better than getting lousy courier services to take care of it.”

“Like I said, no problem,” you say, leaning against the wall next to you. “Listen, I'm wondering if you know anything about a Patch Newton? He's wondering where his weapon is.”

Slips pauses for a moment, seemingly hesitating. “Ah... yeah, about that...” Welp, that doesn't sound good. “You see, he ordered some very precise... very unique dimensions for the rails of his rail rifle. I had to go straight to the manufacturers on level C to commission it from them, and they haven't seemed to reply to me yet. It should've been done awhile ago, but I still haven't received it.”

“...Great,” you sigh. Something's up. “So, if I go retrieve it from them and give them to you, would Patch's order be complete?”

“Aheh... no. Patch is known to be very picky about his equipment. He also ordered a small crate of airburst bolts for the rifle, which haven't arrived yet. They're on the station somewhere, but...”

“But?”

“Um, they were supposed to be brought in by some other courier. It was supposed to be received on level Y.”

“And if we get those, is that it?”

“Yup. I... I believe so.” You almost hear her breathing a little hard. “Um, please don't tell Patch this.”

“...I don't think I will, Slips. I'll see if we can get it all for you.”

“Thanks, pard'ner.”

With that, she hangs up, and you're met with the stares of Ivan and Viktor.

>Go to level C and get the rails, first.
>You're on level S, so it's probably quicker to go to level Y and get the bolts, first.
>Task one of your crew members with retrieving one of the two, while you get the other.
>Write in.

We need a new thread, capn.
>>
Bleh, sorry guys. I don't think I'm gonna start a new thread.

Unless you guys really, really convince me to. I'm kind of dead right now and have had a hangover for the entire day. I think we could hold off with the new thread until next week... anyone really object to this?

I'll bring this one to a close soon, regardless. We can resume the rest of this quest next week.
>>

"Well, looks like someone wants to catch Patch while he's disarmed. Victor, grab your shotgun and Ley'ra and get to level C, meet us at Slips, Ivan, we're going to S, be ready."
>>
>>40140444
Well, if you need rest don't worry. We can wait. You can't run quest tomorrow?
>>
>>40140444
Dude, I just read this entire quest today, and you output like twice as much as most writers do. Don't worry about what we'll think about stopping.
But I would really like you to continue, though. Seriously, this is great and you're a great writer. Keep going.

“Alright. Deck Y is a lot closer to where we are now, so let's go there first.”

“And that was for the bolts, right?” Ivan asks.

“Yeah. Let's get this over with, it's 50,000 credits.”

You head over to the elevator as quick as you can and push the button to take you to deck Y. After an anxious ride later, you find yourself on what looks like some sort of warehouse level of sorts. The ceiling here is high, and sections of the floor are all divided up by equally as high walls. Ivan and Viktor walk closely behind you, but you wander seemingly aimlessly for awhile.

Crates litter the place, some piles of them reaching almost thirty feet tall, and you soon find that you're a little lost.

“I tells ya, there was a station there. A small'un, and it definitely looked Fed. Top secret, I tells ya.”

“Would you stop your yapping? Help get this loaded. Come on!”

With a curious look back to your companions, you duck behind a few crates. With a quick peak over the edge, you see two men beside what looks like a drop ship of some sorts, wearing strange, shoddy armour. Maybe low-time mercs?

“I aint yapping, boss. And... and the-there was a weird ship! I swear it was Herald, I saw it with mine own eyes!”

“Hardly anyone owns a Herald ship out here. Get loading, dammit!”

“Blew the station right up! Red plasma... was the weirdest thing I seen. We was cloaked, but we thought it saw us.”

“Keep your voice down, Sooter! ...Reports from home say that Fire presence in the area's been growing. And getting weirder.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. Gonna hit the news pretty soon, but a big fleet just smashed through a Blackhawk stronghold in their Valhalla sovereignty. They're sending SOS's everywhere.”

“Mighty...”

I'll update the pastebins tomorrow. Right now, I need to crash.

Thank you all for playing, I enjoy this thoroughly with you. Things are about to get pretty interesting with our heroes, and I hope you all lead them down the right path.

The Star Dust universe will never be the same after this quest.
