This is Devil May Cry Quest, a quest centered around the life of a young man who lives in rural Pennsylvania. It is set several years after the events of DMC4. You play as Duncan, a 19 year old man who is working a menial job at a factory, and lives in an income-based apartment, alone. You were raised by catholic nuns for years after your parents left you on the doorstep of the church. None of the nuns know who left you or why you were left behind. After being adopted, you moved from home to home regularly when your foster parents would frequently have some form of tragedy strike them. Your two best friends are guys you went to highschool with, Robbie and Ted. They work menial jobs in a similar fashion, and one of your greatest pleasures in life is playing pool and drinking beers with them. Robbie is a gruff factory worker who you've known since you moved to this town of Dunwich two years older, Someone reliable who, like you, enjoys relaxing with a drink after a tough day's work. Your friend Ted is the more comedic of the three, and has a huge fascination with old horror films. Between the three of you, there's a nice balance.

You used to live a relatively normal life. The only abnormal aspects about you were your stark white hair, and an extraordinary physical strength and reaction speed. These powers awakened a day ago, when you absorbed the soul of a demon possessing a man who lived across the hall. This combined with incredible luck would seemingly set you on the path to success, if it wasn't for you incredibly abrasive attitude and overall laziness. Who knows what could happen if you actually had a little motivation?

Votes end after 10 minutes. Write-ins are an option, but stupid suggestions will be ignored at my discretion. Have fun, and try not to get everyone you know killed. Or others, for that matter.

It's Thursday afternoon, and you and your friends are in the lounge of a motel called the Wagon Wheel. You're all centered around a pool table, Ted and Robbie watching your turn from the side. You gently apply the slightest amount of force, and the cue-ball rockets forward to rebound the other balls around the table with rapid clacking until each of the striped balls fall into the holes, notably in order. Robbie and Ted look up from their drinks, shaking their heads. That's the fifth time you've done that. Ted speaks. "You know, I didn't believe you about the whole demon thing. I really didn't want to believe you. Shouldn't have made that bet, jeez man.."

Robbie nods. "You know Duncan's not the type to make stuff like this up. Not like you are." You chuckle, setting up the balls again for your friends to play. You scratch the back of your head, walking back over to your drink. When you pick it up, you have to focus so that you don't shatter the glass with your strength. You learned that the hard way.

>A. This is a blessing. I'm unstoppable now.
>B. This is a curse. There's a demon in me.
>C. I don't know what's going on, but that vision I had tells me this isn't normal by any standard.
>D. I don't know what's going on, but now I know that demons are real. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only one out there, too.

"I don't know what's going on, but, now I know that demons are real. I mean, there's no way that this was the only one. This is a blessing, if anything. I'm practically unstoppable." Robbie shakes his head. "Now, you know me Duncan. I've been a man of God since you've known me, but this..I don't remember reading about any of this shit in Sunday school. I don't know if it's so good to be all cocky about it. You beat up one demon." Ted shakes his head, downing his drink and frowning. "Robbie's right. Who knows what could happen? Maybe that guy was just a chump."

You walk over to the pool table, and put a finger under it. Slowly, you lift it up until all the balls roll down to one end of the table, and Robbie marches over to whack your hand with his hat. "Cut that shit out! You're gonna get the cops called on us!" You shake your head, chuckling. "What, the demon police? I don't think you guys are getting just how crazy this is. The visions. The voice in my head said 'So sad that humans will only ever be humans, and nothing more.' I think it's pretty clear that I'm something more now."

Ted scratches his chin. He's the same age as you, with shoulder length blonde hair and a scruffy goatee. He works at a convenience store. "Well, maybe you've got a point at least. We should see what it is that you can do exactly." Robbie steps way for a minute, wringing his hat. "Not only that, but, like you said. This ain't the only demon out there. You helped that woman, saved her and her daughter's life. That was before any of this superman shit, too. Aren't you kinda obligated to help folks out?"

>A. You're both right. I need to figure out what I can do, and do what I can for others.
>B. You're right, Ted. I need to figure out what I can do, but I don't see why I should go out of my way to help people here. I'm just as much a victim as anyone else.
>C. You're right, Robbie. I need to help people, and with this new power, I don't think that there's anything that can stop me from doing that!
>D. Fuck you guys.

"You're both right. Let's head out and find a place to see what I'm capable of exactly. It's how I can best use this to help people. If I can help it, I'd like to make a habit of throwing little girls out of pentagrams." Robbie shakes his head, and Ted laughs. The more serious of your friends frowns at this. "I still can't believe that shit. What you told us sounded like a damn comic book. Do you have any idea the risks you took with that?? That was a demon, he could have cut that little girl up with nothing stopping him!"

You point a thumb to your chest, smiling. "Except me. Now at least. Let's get out of here and head to your uncle's junkyard. I wanna lift a car." Ted smiles, jingling his keys as he walks out the door. "We'll take my car. I wanna listen to my music on the way.

You all pile into his small green sedan, music blasting as you tear down the road to the junkyard, pulling off into it as you all look around for shit for you to smash up. With no one around for miles, except Robbie's drunk uncle, you're finally free to flex your stuff. You immediately jump over twenty feet in the air, flipping numerous times before landing. Ted runs up. "What the fuck was that!?" Looking in his direction, you smirk. "Step one." Robbie leans back on Ted's car, cracking open a beer. "Now what?"

You set down a broken bottle, and kick a nearby can across the junkyard, landing about a hundred meters away. Perfectly upright. You're not exactly sure how you did that, but when you look behind you to see Robbie and Ted shaking their heads. "I thought you wanted to test yourself, not show off." You nod to Robbie, and take a step back. "A little of both. Someone get their phones. I figure this is about a hundred meters, across the whole yard. Watching behind you, both of of them prepared. Ted behind you starts. "Three, two, one, go!"

The first step that you kick into the dirt with sends you flying forward, and you're already a quarter of the way there before you touch down again with the next step. It's pretty hard to not go vertically, and it makes it look more like a high speed skip as you take three more steps to cross the can that you kicked. Looking back, you give your friends a thumbs up, and call out. "How was that??"

Robbie holds up his phone, and they both yell in response. "5.6 Seconds!"

Shit.

Gonna have to put this thread on pause for the night, guys. I'll try again Wednesday night when my roomies move out, and I'll be able to go 100%. Sorry! Soon things will be as cuhrayzee as they can get, once you're done experimenting with your new abilities you get right to Devil Hunting. Until next time. (Wednesday or Thursday night, 7 PM)
